When she licked his hand, he just smirked and kept holding, until she bite him which made him yelp and look at his hand with bite marks in it. He stared at them before looking at Carrie. "What kind of council member bites people?!" He stated before grabbing her hand and biting it in return, screw being injured. If you bite it is only fair to be bitten back that and she kind of deserved it with her attitude today.

Sayatachi Nijiko

Much to Sayatachi's surprise, sorta, her wish was actually granted. However, she and Malice's hands were both under the mighty grip of the genie as they took off at top speed!

"Oh Jesus!" the flamboyant lady says in surprise as she takes off.

All she wanted was bloody directions, not a race to who will get there first (even though it wasn't even a race to begin with). But alas, he did his job as the four stopped in front of a fancy frou-frou gourmet restaurant. Sayatachi was slightly dizzy after stopping, but none of the less was pleased with the genie. She wasn't expecting to wind up here, but it was probably even better then what she was thinking. She looks at the genie while touching her own fingers.

"Hmmmm, not bad." she says, "Not bad at all. You seem to have good tastes for a genie."

Just then, Malice began to cry. It seems as her eye patch had flown off as the genie took them here. She slowly rubbed he back to try and sooth her down.

"Poor dear..." she says in a soothing tone, "We can always get another eyepatch. It's not the end of the world. Maybe even a better one..."

The genie then opens the door for the three.

"Oh, thank you." she says, surprised at his politeness, as she walks in.

Perhaps he wasn't that bad as she initially thought. Never the less, the interior was beautifully well arranged, with fancy chairs, tables, lamps, waterfalls, and the aroma of food will make them all quite hungry, as well as a bar to gather drinks for an all night party. They manage to find a seat for four at the back end of the restaurant and sit down, with Sayatachi being on the left side nearest to the wall. She opens up the menu and takes a gander at all the delicious food they can order.

After all would make their choices, a waiter comes up to the table.

"Greetings!" he welcomes in a cheerful manner, "Welcome to Shunji Aki Restaurant, what can I do for you all today?"

Samir Saron

A chuckle comes out of Samir's mouth as she views this humorous dilemma. She then wonders where Marlene was. She hasn't been back in awhile. Did she get in trouble again? Weather she did or did not, she has to find her. And she has the feeling that maybe she's back at the hotel, though it was no guarantee. With a yawn, she slowly gets up from her seat.

"Alright guys," she says politely with a wave, "Sorry I can't stay for long, but I need to look for a friend of mine. I'll talk to you guys later."

And with that, she makes a beeline back to the hotel, oblivious to what Marlene had gotten herself into.

Angelo soon found his way upstairs and took a hot shower to relax from the days events. In one day he was attacked, taken down to the lowest level, brought up again, then attacked once more and rescued by his guild master. Anyone else would be dead from exhaustion but to Angelo he was just tired. Angelo never thought he would be in this kind of situation. Before he had no questions about his abilities and it took nearly killing a girl for him to change. Angelo will change and will be even better then before. He has to, once Angelo finished his shower and changed he went to his bed to relax and try to clear his head...

Layle Kvothe

It was getting late. The sun had touched the horizon and the sky was a beautiful array of colors. Layle stood from where he was crouching on the roof of a tall building. "What an amazing sunset!" He shouted to the world. He had just been exploring the city, seeing what he could find, and he hadn't been disappointed. So this is the big city. Its so cool! All these people, all the food, and all the adventure! And those guild wizards! His mind went back to the Games earlier that day. I never knew there were people that strong! I would love to meet them... Hey, I wonder... They should be staying at a hotel somewhere here. I think I'll go find one and see about joining. But which one to try first? Obviously, the most famous is Pheonix Wing. But what about the others? Man, its so hard to choose. Layle jumped down off the building, using his magic to easily land safely. "Well, that Mithera girl was part of Pheonix Wing. I guess I'll start there, mand maybe check up on here. I remember wandering past a hotel with a lot of people with there Guild Mark going in, I'll try there, first." He said to himself.

Several wrong turns, dead ends and a crazy bag lady later, Layle arrived at what he assumed to be the hotel. He stood in front of the doors, hesitating for a moment. Gathering his nerve, he opened the door and walked in. As he did, he shouted, "Hey! Is the the Phoenix Wing...hotel? Layle trailed off as he saw a little girl crying and a bunch of grim faces al, around. In a more moderate tone, he asked "Am I...interupting something?" He probably looked threatening, with his big gun slung over his back.

She was utterly confused with his sudden behavior, but still showed a happy expression as usual. Usually, people seemed to be tired or annoyed after being with her for awhile. This was something that the Wizard Saint couldn't fully understand. It was only a few seconds and Nolan already seems to be showing similar symptoms, but why? She smiled and leaned over "I was just wondering if you were okay. So is everything okay? The Games are already over for today. Instead of sulking here, don't you want to leave and rest since you already competed against a powerful opponent today?" It might of seemed as if she was teasing the slayer, but it was more of an innocent question from her happy expression.

Wes Gusto
@Burthstone
Location: Crocus's Train Station

He nodded his head and couldn't help but chuckle at the idea "Heh, that funny. You say that you don't think you deserve S class, but it seems you're already filling in the role. While I was part of the guild, I didn't really think class title matter that much, even today I still believe that. Sure you haven't spoken to everyone in the guild yet. But at least you see it as something important to do as well as your a job that you feel responsible for. Doing something like that doesn't seem like a naive person, but more of a humble and modest one. But try not to be too modest or you might end up like me heh." It was a soft laugh, but didn't really express joy.

Wes sat beside Mayt and although his voice wasn't sad, it was happy as he calmly spoke. "I joined the guild because I didn't know who else to turn to. When I regained my memories, it felt great that the guild went so far to try and rescue me. But it felt like what they did to rescue me was too much. I might of just returned a few months ago, but I heard and seen more dark guild activities since the guild defeated the Magic Council. To be the cause and reason for something like that to happen, I thought it would be better that I wasn't of the guild anymore, especially with Jamie as the Master" He spoke, he couldn't help but have has head lean down.

After a few seconds of silence, Wes pulled his head up and tried to look on the bright side of things. "I'm sorry if I rambled there. But I do want to say this. I still hope Phoenix Wing does great things in future, I just worry what they may face when the future arrives."

As Sasha made her way to the hotel, she glanced about herself, figuring that most of the guild would be making their way back to the hotel as well. She saw a figured, covered and frowned, before catching sight of the guild mark. "Trinity!" she caught up with the energy make wizard, "expecting trouble?"

penny
@Lunarlors34@Crimson Raven
Penny listened, a little relieved to be honest. She had been fearful something had happened to Jasmines parents, but from what Jasmine said that wasn't the case. "can you remember where you left them? They must be worried sick about you!" she said

As someone else came in, Penny sighed softly. How much more was going to happen? "one moment"

Carrie hissed like a cornered cat when Zephyr bit her back, pushing herself up shakily, she managed to shove at him, if only weakly. "what do you expect when you cover someone's mouth, nimrod?!" she said in annoyance, wiping Her hand where he had bit her, "I licked you! I gave you the chance to remove your hand! But you didn't!"

Trinity Stratos

"Sasha." Trinity looked around cautiously, before lowering her hood. There was no way they'd get away with trying anything now, so close to the hotel with all her guild members in it. Though she was confident she had lost them for now.

"Not at the moment, but they tried again. I managed to evade them, but... too close." The minstrel shook.her head and glanced around again. "Let's go inside before we talk more." She began to move toward the hotel, intent on getting to the safety of inside.

"Yet isn't it better not fretting over work? Instead you are fretting over something dumb. Well you probably don't think so, yet right now you look the most alive than I've seen all day. Even if it was to insult me, yet in the end despite being a nimrod or childish and not mature at all. I can still take care of business. So that why I'd be fine if you came to Dragon Fang to ask for our help. The Wizard saints are after all people that obey the council." Zephyr suggested giving her a thumbs up, no longer focused on the pain of the bite mark on his hand. Instead more focused on helping her, he really was just an childish man that wanted to help.

@liferusher
Ike Riven

As the party would rage on he couldn't help but think his past self would have enjoyed. This annoyed him to no end, and the culprit was just there not dead. What was so important about letting her live? She was clearly evil. In fact... everyone was partying right now... Ike stood up and while everyone was enjoying themselves he crept into Isla's holding tent and would stare at the girl. She was so young and looked like a little angel, yet that was simply a facade to lure people in. Holding his hand up it would glow a dark color, which caused him to aim it at Isla. Yet he lowered his hand and the color faded, "Tch, if only it wouldn't get me in trouble.. So little shit. Why? No bullshit either, I can detect lies and really I think you know I won't hesitate to break you like a twig for lying. So why?! Why did you do that to me!? You have any idea what it's like to be alone and your only means of escape is something far superior than you!? I don't even know my own age anymore... I barely remember some of the people in this guild. So why shouldn't I snap every bone in your body right now?" Ike growled at her as he pulled up a seat and glared at her.

Mayt Derrin Marris -- Crocus Station
Mayt chuckled a bit at Wes’ words, knowing the guy was just trying to cheer him up. ”Mmm, I’m sure Phoenix Wing’ll come out of it alright. We’ve got Damian and Penny, who are both probably more dangerous than me, and I’m the guy that’s got, like, a millennium of family experiences with his magic locked away in his head.” He smiled some, oddly casual about the unique predicament his mother had placed him in.

[color=50c787]”Anyway, I’m pretty sure I’m acting pretty naive right now. I’m trusting a bunch of thieves and bandits didn’t tell me to go into a bunch of traps, not to mention I’m trusting a guy whom my only experience with before today was Edolas. Though I can’t entirely blame you for leaving because of the whole magic council thing. That is a lot to ask your friends to do for you. Speaking of that event, however, I should probably find that electricity mage on the council and apologize for what I did to her in our fight…”[color=50c787] He sighed, and rolled his shoulders, ignoring the ever-present headache he got when trying to think about Edolas.

”But that doesn’t let you off the hook for leaving, of course, but I can at least understand your reasoning behind that, not wanting people to put themselves in that much danger just for you. To be entirely honest, I’m amazed we made it out as unscathed as we did… At least as far as I remember. As I said, I don’t remember anything about Edolas, and probably won’t until I’m 40 or so or whenever the hell mom set the trigger date for, so I guess it’s really all hearsay for me. The last thing I remember is seeing Karn outside the building before I ran in to help with whatever was going on in that basement. Which, I believe, is where some clever guy or gal decided to sic him on Edolas.” He chuckled softly. ”Well, look who’s rambling now, eh?”

@Expolar

Serma ‘Luna’ Cathris -- Phoenix Wing Hotel
Luna looked up and around at everyone one last time, memorizing their faces, before gently pulling away from Damian, taking in a deep breath before before heading towards the door. ”S-seems I’m getting in the way of things now… So I’ll j-just go back to my hotel.” She’d say softly, thinking it was too quiet to hear, as she moved past Layle, barely not bumping him.

As she got outside, avoiding any hands or anything else attempting to stop her expertly, she turned and headed down the street, barely noticing Trinity and Sasha walking towards the guild hall. She sobbed as she moved quickly away towards her guild, each one racking her entire body, barely keeping herself under proper control. She didn’t know why she was reacting to what they said, and what she said, so much. She wiped her face with her sleeve, taking in as deep a breath she could and holding it, trying to stop her sobs by force. She had to calm down before she got back, and she had no idea why she was acting so sad, In a few days she’d get to go out to see Melina again. She had to at least stay cheerful until then. Maybe she would talk to her Guild Master; he was always very nice and wise. She was sure he wouldn’t just dismiss it and say ‘stay with us’.

”Well, look who’s rambling now, eh?”

"I guess it's another thing we have in common." Wes couldn't help but laugh at what he said.

In the distance, he could hear the train arriving. With nothing else to really say, Wes jumped up from bench. "It doesn't seem like an easy task. But if you already decided to help them, even if they somehow decide to betray you later on, I think you still deserve that S class title for trying to do something that most wouldn't. Good luck Mayt and I hope we meet again." With that said, the ex guild member walked off and tried looking for a hotel to spend the night in.

Earthland Shutler

During the night, while streets were empty. A shadow sprang out from the Mercurius and flowed towards the streets of the city. In an alleyway, the shadow grew upwards until finally turning into Shutler with an evil smirk across his face. As he walked down the alley, his hand rubbed against the wall until he stopped. His hand was beside a part of the brick wall that appeared to be cracked and began pressing the brick as if it was a numpad. Suddenly a door appeared and Shutler causally walked inside with the door disappearing once it closed.

Jamie was still very reluctant to go to the dinner, preferring to stay n the hotel and make sure things were okay. She hadn't forgotten the attack on Angelo, nor the attack in the street earlier that morning. It just seemd that very time she tried to take a little bit of time for herself, something happened.

She sighed, causing Jarvis to look over at her before rising and approaching her. Even as Jamie made to push him away, Jarvis engulfed her in a hug. Jamie struggled just for form, but had soon...melted against Jarvis.

"We have to keep the peace, Jamie. That means suffering through a dinner, which you normally enjoy"

Jamie thought it would be petty to say she didn't want to go, because she was hurting still from the earlier verbal assaults on her, so she didn't say anything, merely gave a non-committal sound, before wriggling free to continue getting ready, slipping on her boots and sword like another woman might a handbag and bracelet.

"You look like a warrior going into battle, not someone going to dinner"

And now Jamie grinned, flashing a quick glance towards Jarvis, "Good, as that's what it feels like" She had her blonde hair tied back, out of her face, as if expecting that she would need full viability, wore a shirt, jacket, and pants that all looked fancy, but that were easy to move in, and had lacrima's plastered like jewels on her belt, cutting a striking figure, that aside from the sword, wouldn't seem out of place in a restaurant, and with the way things were lately, she wasn't going out without her bade.

"I'll check on Amelia and Sam, see if they are ready"

"Sammy, are you ready yet?" Amelia asked, looking through her cloths for something to wear. Since this was a meeting between her family and two other guild masters, she figured she would wear something nice. But most of her cloths were meant more for ease of wear, traveling, and general convenience. She didn't have any dresses and she was starting to doubt she had anything appropriate.

"I'm ready!" Sam replied, rolling off the bed she had just flopped on, she had one shoe on and one shoe off, and the pony tail she had inexpertly done wa coming loose allowing strands of hair to escape, but didn't seem to notice that, watching Amelia move through her clothes, clearly dissatisfied.

Sam dived happily into Amelia's clothes, surfacing with something.

"Pretty!"

Jack stood in his room, reaching into a drawer and looking over it's contents. He was simply going to wear his normal clothes, not because the dinner wasn't worth something more, but because he was attempting to approach the situation on equal terms. His tirade today had been wrong, though perhaps a little bit needed to wake Jamie up to the very real issues surrounding her actions. Still, he hoped that when the night ended, the three guilds would part peacefully. Finishing his preparations, he turned and headed out of his room to the main floor of the hotel, getting a drink of water and drinking it while waiting for it to be closer to time for dinner.

Amelia groaned as she picked up Sam and set her aside.
"You shouldn't dive into other people's cloths. Now you've made a mess." she said, sighing as she looked around. She guess she would have to go in a casual outfit, since she had nothing else. Looking through her cloths and organizing them again, she picked out her favorite red shirt, a nice pair of jeans that weren't too worn out before slipping on her shoes. She put the rest of her stuff away before turning to Sam and frowning. Grabbing a nearby brush, she picked up her sister again and sat on their bed before undoing her sister's sloppy ponytail and running the brush through Sam's hair before tying it up again, only neater.

Fraquar sighed as he exited his guild's hotel and headed for Dragon Fang's. He was rather apprehensive about this meeting. He was willing to bet that Jamie would throw another tantrum again before storming out. Really, the woman could make a scene and not give a damn what anyone though. With that in mind, he made sure he was prepared for the incoming verbal assault. If they were lucky, they might all get through this dinner alive.

Sam frowned, as she'd only been trying to help, and crossed her arms in annoyance. The young girl withstood having her hair brushed and re-tied, but soon escaped, still only wearing on shoe. She darted out the room, and into the main sitting area, right into Jamie, who stopped her, "You're going no where with one shoe, missy"

"She needs to learn to sit still." Amelia commented, walking over to her mother, straightening up her hair while also getting her wings out of her shirt.

Fraquar arrived at the Dragon Fang hotel shortly and walked into the building, looking around for Master Jack and approaching his fellow guild master once he spotted him.
"Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like we're going to a warzone." he said.

Jack looked up and chuckled at Fraquar's comment, sipping at his drink. "I refuse to treat it as such, no matter what Jamie is prepared to say. I may have shot off half cocked today, but that's no excuse for what happened. Had it been in reverse, I would have taken responsibility for Jackie's actions, as is my place as guild master. But that isn't the point. I intend to make peace, plain and simple."

Jamie just smiled, and she engulfed Sam in a hug, managing to pin Sam's arms to her side, and scooped her into the air, "Shes just a bundle of energy, but then, children often are"

Jamie plopped Sam onto the bed, and quickly slipped the other shoe on, and tying it. "Well then, are you ready, both of you?" Jamie would have liked to stall, but that seemed almost cowardice.

"I'm ready to go when you are Mama." Amelia said as she got her wings out from under her shirt. She was feeling a bit apprehensive. She knew this was going to be a tense meeting but she hoped everything would turn out okay.

"She shot at me for what Delsin and Pyrrha did. And I took responsibility, as it was my fault for not watching them. But she really didn't give a damn. Apparently, she thinks she could've kept my guild out of this competition. Fat chance." Fraquar said before sighing and rubbing the back of his head. "This whole fiasco is just insane. It feels like a powder keg that's been waiting to blow finally has and now everyone is trying to recover from it."

Jack chuckled and finished his drink, beckoning towards the doors and leading the way out. "It's a powder keg that blew when Jamie decided she could attack the high magic power in Fiore and not have some kind of repercussion happen. But that's besides the point. What happened today was unacceptable, and while she, without a doubt, reprimanded Angelo, she missed the point of my rant. But again, I'm not going to dinner to stir the pot, but put it to rest."

It was about a fifteen minute walk to the restaurant and Jack added Fraquar to the list for his reservation along with Jamie and her family, and then followed the Hostess to their table, where he and Fraquar sat and looked over the menu. "Dinner's on me tonight, so order what you'd like."

Jamie was silent as they made the way to the resturant, wishing she hadn't agreed to it. She didn't feel like anything would get resolved, nor did she see the point in trying to be friendly about it all.

Jarvis kept a hold of Sam so the young girl wouldn't go running off, silent in his calm, steady way, but Jarvis wasn't calm. The whole situation seemed ridiculous to him, blown way out of proportion, and this now seemed like excess. Angelo shouldn't have done what he had done, Jarvis agreed with that, but blaming them, before giving them a chance to do what was right, was crossing the line. Jarvis, of all people, knew what it was to have emotions run you, but he never considered it his right to poke into how another light guild was run, or to attack the master before they could do anything.

It looked like it was going to be a dangerous evening, as they reached the resturant, Jarvis wondered if things would become better, or worse.

Fraquar followed Jack to the restaurant and simply nodded at his statement about the meal being on him. He would save his words until the other guest arrived and the first shots were fired. He had no interest in starting a fight and he hoped there would not be one. Hopefully Jamie would be civil and simply talk, preferably in a calm manner.

Amelia was probably the only one other then Sam who wasn't nervous about the dinner. She knew that there was a lot going on and that her mother and father were definitely not in the best of moods but she was determined to enjoy herself and try and talk to both of the other Masters. When they arrived at the table, she flashed both Fraquar and Jack a smile as she took her seat, getting a few stares from the customers on account of her wings but she ignored them.
"How're you this evening Master Jack, Master Fraquar?" She asked.

"That is yet to be seen. Yourself, Miss Averyonna? Or has your last name changed? I hear Jamie and Jarvis has adopted you." Fraquar asked, returning the smile with a small one of his own. At least the child held no ill-will towards him for aiming to kill her it seemed.

"Not bad. And I still answer to Averyonna." Amelia replied.

Jack smiled back at Amelia and nodded. "I'm well, and glad to hear you are as well. Jame, Jarvis, I'm glad you came. Please, sit, order what you'd like, I'm paying for it tonight."

Jamie made sure that Sam was seated, and that she wouldn't run off, not particularly feeling very settled for a dinner. She used the few moments it took to at least not lash out, before sitting, deciding not to speak quite yet.

"well, it is best to get this cleared up before it becomes any worse"

As for this being fast... good luck with that, though it's likely Jamie will just storm out at some point by the looks of it and kinda prove our point.))

"I agree this should be cleared up, but if you're in a rush Jamie, then nothing will truly be accomplished." Fraquar said calmly, leaning back in his chair. "So, I suppose the first thing we should ask is what do you want out of this meeting?"

Jack cut in before anyone else could speak, not looking away from his menu. "This is supposed to be a pleasant evening and will only be so if we all relax. So, Jamie, I would appreciate it if you sent that sword of yours back to your room at your hotel. Secondly, we can address this afternoon's spats AFTER we've all ordered. Or would you rather make a scene in front of our waiter?"

"no, I'd rather not. We've been attacked in this city today, I'd rather keep my blade with me" Jamie said with what she consider admirable restraint.

But she did wait until after they had ordered, to reply to fraquar.

"what I want is to not have to worry one of my members will be attacked. What I want is to not be questioned when I haven't had the time to do anything, and what I want is to not be blamed for not knowing that Angelo was going to do what he did. I am many things, but A mind reader isn't one." Jamie said wearily, "Angelo knows what he did was wrong, and has been appropriately reprimanded. And if I had been given the time, it would have been done before this all occurred. I don't appreciate being attacked like I was.

As soon as It is possible, Angelo will apologize to Jackie. She's the one that deserves it"

Fraquar was more then ready to order when Jamie put her demands on the table. Rather then reply to her right away, he turned to Jack.
"I'll take a steak, well-done." He said before looking at Jamie and studying her. After a few seconds, he spoke. "I can guarantee none of those things Jamie. Life isn't fair enough to tell you that your guild or it's member will never be attacked. Life will never give you enough time to act before others lash out at you. And whether you like it or not, as a guild master, the actions of your guild reflect on you, some more then others. Thus, you will be judged for what they do, especially at events like the Magic Games. Out of all the guilds thus far, your guild has shown why magic is feared the most: In reckless hands, an ordinary person is capable of great and dangerous feats.

So tell me, after these games are done, what will you do? Go back to your guildhall and do nothing to improve your guild? Let them do whatever they want and try to pass the blame when they do something reckless and possibly destructive? Tell me, what do YOU, as the guild master of Phoenix Wing, plan on doing after all this is over
?"

Jack held up a hand after ordering his own food. "Enough, both of you. Jamie, you came to this dinner expecting to be attacked because of the reactions of both myself and Jackie's friends this afternoon. I can understand that. However, I will not attempt to make peace while you are armed, nor will we get to stay here and actually eat if they find out you are armed, and I'm pretty sure, despite the current topic, some food would do us all good. That said, before we continue this discussion, I would like to apologize for going off half cocked after Jackie was hurt. However, I would like to say that I watched the reactions and listened to several conversations of non-mages after the battle and after our argument.

And those that didn't think it was all for show are terrified of what would happen if your guild turned. And it's not because of anything you've done, but because of Angelo's actions. What you choose to do with that information is your business, Jamie. Just know that it's something serious that you can't sweep under the rug with a simple reprimand and apology. As for apologizing to Jackie, well, as I told you earlier, she's in a magically induced coma and I don't know when they'll bring her out of it. What I do know is the moment they do, she'll be trying to move around of her own accord and that's going to not happen, so if you see her, please let me know."
When their drinks arrive, he thanks the waiter and continues. "Now, with all that out of the way, I actually have an idea to suggest that we can attempt in the months after the Games to help all our guilds build trust with each other and for the three of us, four if you wish to join Jarvis, learn to get along. Are you willing to hear it?"

"and there's more people who feel safer knowing there is a guild out there willing to take the flack and do what needs to be done. Should we have just left the magic council, corrupt as they were, in power? I took the chance to take them down, yes, while serving my own ends.

There will also be those that fear a guild will turn, those that think magic is a dark substance. The guild will not turn, and if there is any indication of that, I will stop the members responsible.

You brought up some of my members pasts, in an attempt to show that they are willing to kill. our pasts make us, but they should not be a reason to distrust them. I know they are willing to kill, the difference is we promote not killing. It should always be a last resort.

A trust exercise will be pointless, if things fall as they seem to be doing. We are reckless, yes, but we have to be. The dark guilds are still rising in numbers. A we can't go out it as if it's all roses and Daisies."
Jamie said, ignoring the demands to remove her blade. After today, and knowing that there were still potentials that could begin a fight, she would keep her blade with her.

"the simple fact is, the more power a guild has the more people will fear them turning, will resent them" Jarvis said patiently

Jack sighs and leans back, still waiting for their food. Jamie was determined to maintain a sour note, but he wasn't going to play her games tonight. "So you would prefer that we ignore that your actions and the rise in Dark guilds, are correlated? I'm going to be blunt Jamie, and I'm simply going to say that I am not in the mood for your games. I invited us all here to make peace and work on any other issues that are safe to discuss in public. This afternoon went poorly on EVERYONE'S part, not just one party's. The only reason things are falling apart is because you are in a defensive position because you feel we are attacking you. This is simply not the case and I think you're well aware of that. Jamie, this is neither the time or the place for a weapon. Even Fraquar left his behind, despite his reservations about attending." He let that sink in a moment, taking a sip of his drink, before continuing.

"Your actions with the Council are not the topic of discussion, but if you wish to know how I feel about it, you were foolish to completely bypass an entire series of proven fail safes and launch a one guild assault on the magic council. When previous councils were corrupt, the fail safes were used and they worked, time and time again. But, again, that is not why we are here and I don't wish to continue discussing something we all agree worked even if we don't all agree with the choices involved. As for why we are here, how about we start with, each of us apologizing. I am sorry for going off on you after Jackie got hurt, but you would do no less if it was one of your members."

"Fraquar hasn't been attacked in this city today. Fraquar hasn't had three members kidnapped during these games. I'd prefer not to risk my daughters lives for the social conception of not being armed" Jamie replied, firmly. "I wasn't armed the last time, Jack. Do not ask me to make the same mistake twice" Jamie's tone was cold, and indicted this was not something she would not budge on this.

"I'm not saying I wouldn't have approached you, but I never would have attacked how you teach and train your members like you did. And I would have gone after the member first, which would no doubt have caused something like this anyway, but I would never question how you care for your members" Jamie responded, not wishing to go into all the reason why she had led the guild to attacking the council, one of the main reasons being there hasn't been quite enough time to consider fail safes that might or might not work.

"dark guilds were rising before the council attack, Jack, and have steadily been rising over the last year or so. We connected it back to Angelica, but now they are still rising" Jarvis said, once more in that calm tone of his. "that is, of course, beside the point. We weren't there to attack the council, they began it when we requested a book that could save one of our members.

We'd do just about anything for our members, Jack. Angelo has always been a bit of a loose cannon, desperate, I believe, for simple acceptance and a place to belong. Perhaps we didn't see how far he'd go, but he deserved to be in the games, just like anyone else. And I was the one to pick our teams, as Jamie was away from the guild. I am the one that did not question what everyone would do, merely because I trusted them to know the limit. If anyone is to blame, it is me. I'm sorry for putting trust in my members, and I am sorry Jackie got hurt, but the way you acted was crossing a line"

Fraquar remained silent as Jamie, Jarvis and Jack talked (he had to wonder how many people whose names began with 'Ja' he knew.) but he also occasionally glanced over at Amelia. The girl had remained silent the entire time but only a fool or someone who wasn't watching her would be unable to tell she wasn't listening in closely. Now that there was finally a pause, he spoke.
"Jamie, while I understand that you don't want to be unarmed if your guild has been attacked you must remember that everyone here is technically armed. We all have magic, so we're not entirely defenseless. Not only that, but I think you insult Miss Amelia's ability to defend herself. Though I understand she still needs to recover from an encounter you had earlier today. Your caution is warranted but not needed. Both Jack and I would help you in an instant if trouble stirred." He said calmly. "As for this talk of dark guild's it is irrelevant. Stop trying to steer us off topic. We're here for what YOUR guild did, or more specifically, what Angelo did. A slap on the wrist will do nothing here. I respect that you chose him for the games to let him show what he is capable of. However, he has shown a bit too much and how reckless he is. It would be best to withdraw him, not only to make us to feel at ease but also the other guilds in the Games. You have an ample number of candidates to take his place. It might hurt him but he can grow from this. Let him grow, as a mage and a man. I do not think that is asking for much."

As Fraquar finished, the food arrived and Jack sighed, letting the table sit in silence for a few minutes as everyone ate their meals. He watched Miss Averyona as they ate in silence, wondering when she would weigh in on the discussion. After about five minutes, he spoke again. "What happens to Angelo after the match today is, frankly, none of my business, nor yours, Master Fraquar. The boy learned something about recklessness today, if nothing else, and will be sure to keep better control on himself because of it. It is also the decision of the Game Master if Angelo gets to continue fighting, since what happened today would affect the public opinion on the Games going from a showcase of magic to a gladitorial pit of mages in a heartbeat. Once more, it is not our business unless Jamie wishes to inform us."

Once more, he let his words sink into everyone around him before continuing. "Now, with that said, tonight is not about what could, would, or should be done. It is about all of us admitting, in someway or another, that we were wrong today. And apologizing. I couldn't name any specific way you, Jamie, or you, Fraquar, were wrong, but I know we all were. I can say, that lines were likely crossed by all, in more ways than one. So before we dig up any more trouble between us, let's bury the current hatchet first, hm?"

"you're magic is a little bit more...contained then mine, and magic runs out. We are not pulling Angelo out of the games, as that would show a complete lack of faith in him. His battle is over, his event is done. For all intense and purposes he is finished, except for perhaps the last day." Jamie said, again her tone indicating that she would not budge on this.

"some things can't be put aside by a simple apology, Jack" Jamie's tone became soft, "You hurt me, and some wounds can't be healed in mere hours"

Jamie gave a sigh, "Angelo will apologize, and I accept responsibility for him, like I do all my members. But I will not apologize for defending myself against a personal attack on me, and on my guild."

Fraquar let out a frustrated sigh and opened his mouth to speak, only to be preemptively interrupted.

"You three are like a bunch of children in the middle of an argument over some trivial matter." Amelia said, looking up from her food. "As things are right now, all you're accomplishing is setting yourselves up for future meetings like this. I don't like what Angelo did either. In fact I hate it and I would do more then simply yell at him with I was guild master. Showing respect and trust is fine but you need to know when to put your foot down, I agree. However, Mama won't agree to anything you say right now because her pride is hurt. She won't listen to anything anyone says for several days at best. Come back then.

I, however, am willing to listen and want to do something to make amends even if Mama doesn't. So, what was this idea you mentioned earlier Master Jack? I'm curious
."

Jack didn't respond to Jamie for the time being, deciding that she would figure out on her own that she wasn't the only one who had gotten hurt. Turning to Amelia, he smiles. "A small group get together to train and socialize between the three guilds. It was something I came across in my research into the old guilds from a hundred years ago and something I've tried to remember to suggest to Jamie before, but always got so tied up in other things I'd forget. With Rider's Blade being an up and coming guild, I thought it would be a good chance for us all to learn more about each other and form a stronger bond."

Jarvis sighed softly, "things like that have worked in the passed, yes, but they were also different times. Times were magic wasn't quite so feared. What do you suppose people will think if three guild start acting together?

They might suppose we are looking to gain power. We first have to show that magic, and a majority of those that use it, are not seeking power and control, or no matter what we do, nothing will help the way the world sees us."

Jack shook his head. "Now, I'm not saying you're wrong, but we also need to show that the guilds trust each other, especially since I know there are several people that saw Jamie's and I's spat this afternoon."

"Well, even if Mama is unwilling to volunteer anyone, I'll still attend these. I need to get out the guild and try to make more friends anyway." Amelia said.

"We should make a small group first. Why not two members of each guild. One male and one female. I would volunteer Pyrha and Delsin in this case." Fraquar said.

"Mama is going to point out she never agreed." Amelia said.

"And at this point, I frankly don't care, cause she's not going to agree to anything coming out of anyone's mouth but hers."

Jamie rose from the table in quite a calm manor despite not feeling calm. She pushed her chair in and walked away. It seemed better to do that then to completely lose it at the table. Knowing that only Amelia and Sam could follow her without a scene, she went to the female bathroom, licking herself into one of the stalls. The small dogs Fraquar was beginning to use would surely continue, and Jamie didn't know how much she could take. Sitting, she lowered her head into her hands, forcing her breathing to be even and rythmatic, focusing on that and only that. Perhaps the main reason for not wanting to come to dinner tonight was the simple fact Jamie knew she wouldn't be able to maintain composure

"that's quite enough Fraquar" Jarvis said softly, his tone indicating that he wouldn't put up with much more, "its not about trust, is it? It's about respect, something that hasn't happened much today. Jamie respected you more then enough to make sure you were one of the first to know her identity Jack, but you threw that back in her face with what you did today. And Fraquar, you have to give respect and trust to get it."

Jack maintained his composure, but he would not put up with being villianized in a situation that wasn't about who was right. "And where does shielding her stop Jarvis? She had the gall to insult me and my guild over my loss of temper. You both sit there and pretend that you are the victims and that no one else was insulted today? Tonight was about peace, about showing that I accept what I did was wrong. But instead, your wife insisted on twisting it so that nothing said made any kind of meaningful impact. And rather than showing that you acknowledged that all involved parties were hurt or wronged, you helped her. I understand that as her husband, it is your job to stand by her side, but this was not an attack, it was an attempt to get you to see that parties on all sides were wrong, including you." Jack shakes his head and leans back, sighing.

"I, once again, openly acknowledge that what I said this afternoon was wrong and crossed lines. But time and again, you and Jamie have proven that you would go beyond simple words to avenge a perceived wrong to your members. You would go for blood. I guess this isn't going to work, so I will pay the bill and we can go our separate ways and you can expect to see me some time tomorrow. But I want you to consider something. When one of your closest friends tells you something's wrong, perhaps you should reevaluate what you're doing. If you will, Master Fraquar." Standing, Jack left behind the jewel to pay for the meals and then some, along with a note apologizing for any uncomfort their group might have caused any of the other guests. He then lead Fraquar back out to the streets and away from the meal.

Fraquar stood up with Jack but shot one last look at Jarvis.
"I will not show children respect unless they deserve it Jarvis. Jamie is far from grown up. She may make adult descisions but when push comes to shove, she's nothing but a child. I suggest you help her grow up. QUICKLY." He said before leaving with Master Jack.

Amelia watched the other guild master's leave before sighing.
"You know, it wouldn't have hurt." She said before getting up. "I'll be back at the hotel. I would suggest you do something about Mama."

With that she left as well, disgusted by the way all the 'adults', if you could call them that, acted.

Jarvis stopped Fraquar and Jack leaving, stopping them at the door, keeping an eye on Sam as Amelia left.

"we know that we were partly in the wrong as well, Jack. The difference is, if it was the other way around, it would be the member we'd blame and not you. we can teach them and guild them, but ultimately they are their own person. We can't make them decide what's best-we can only teach them
And hope they learn. Something you haven't come to a conclusion yet is that just because they are mages, apart of the guilds, doesn't mean they are human. Doesn't mean that they cannot make mistakes even if we wish they wouldn't. We wouldn't blame you, Jack, if it was Angelo in a coma. We wouldn't even blame Jackie, really. We'd be disappointed. You have a lot to grow on as well, Jack.

You are insulted because of your own actions.l, and your own lack of understanding. You are hurt because of your own misconceptions, Jack. You're a good guild master, but you still have a lot to learn. As do we.

Do you think that Jamie could be reasonable, when you attacked how she has taught our members? We are not above killing Jack, but Jamie has killed no one, and I've only killed one person. We do not preach murder in our Guild, and that's what you pushed onto her.

The problem is here is you don't see why you hurt her. You insulted her, and out Guild, just like you are saying she did to you. Well Jack, you get as good as you give."
Jarvis turned to Fraquar, "do not judge someone when you do not know what has happened to them. Jamie went through losing one of her powers, for Sam. She lost seven parts of herself, you cannot begin to know what that is like. She took a step, one she has been avoiding for 15 years, out of fear despite the monster who attacked us being dead, of detection, and revealed herself. On top of that, she was attacked, with Her children and Elyse, in the city. She has had to deal with three members being kidnapped, and any number of other things, and then she was verbally attacked by a man she considers nothing less then a brother. I think she is allowed a few hours at least of being a child, don't you? Perhaps stop being an arrogant fool, and think that perhaps not everyone can deal with what she has in the last 48 hours and be an adult"

Jarvis stepped aside, and approached Sam, nudging her towards the bathrooms and her mother, before going after Amelia, using one of his lacrima said to teleport to her location.

"it wouldn't have hurt, no. It's just not something that can be decided today after everything. Jamie will agree, but she won't tonight."

Fraquar sighed as Jarvis left, turning to MAster Jack.
"Do you think it would hurt them to, I don't know, ASK FOR HELP if they're having this much trouble with things not related to the Games?" He said, feeling incredibly frustrated by Jamie's damnable pride at this point.

"No she won't." Amelia said simply, stopping to look up at her adoptive father.

"she will. Because it's what is best for the guild, and Jamie will do it, if only for that" Jarvis replied

Sam glanced back, as her father left, before entering the bathroom and wriggling under the stall door to crawl into her mothers lap

"If you make peace with no intention of keeping it, you're simply delaying the inevitable. You need to want peace before you can have it. Unless Mama does things for the right reasons and actually listens when other offer their opinions and advice, no matter how hurtful, this will happen all over again." Amelia said before moving to walk away again.

Jack sighed as he walked, having continued past Jarvis even as the man had spoken. He had missed the point in what Jack had said, and as it stood, he'd put up with enough of his and his wife's "I'm right and you're wrong no matter what you prove" attitude for one evening. "Today's attack was...unexpected, especially by Jamie. They shut down the Council months ago and it was safe for everyone to assume no retribution would come of it from anyone but the new Council. I suppose we all should have known better."

"you have to be at peace to want peace, Amelia. And when someone you trust and care about hurts you, you aren't going to be at peace after a few hours.'when she calms down,'she will do what is right, she always does." Jarvis said

"Assuming it was the Council." Fraquar said before splitting from Jack with a wave, heading for his guild's hotel.

"I'll believe it when I see it." Amelia said before walking away, heading back to the hotel.

"You shouldn't have to see it, to believe in your family, Amelia" Jarvis said after her, his tone weary.

Jasmine

@Caits
Jasmine shook her head.
"No...but they would still be in the city somewhere I suppose..." Jasmine muttered thoughtfully. That's right, if she was missing they surely wouldn't leave the city till they found her! It had only been a day, so they wouldn't assume the worst just yet...she hoped.

Mithera’s Departure -- White Knights and Black Stars Arc
Mithera, Jack Goran and Some Others

Jack arrived at the hotel with Emory in tow and gave him his guild mark before sending him on his way. Approaching the young girl at one of the tables, he sits down. "I'm told you're a member of Phoenix Wing. Newer perhaps, because I don't think I've seen you in my visits to their guild hall."

Mithera looked up from her thoughts as the Dragon Fang Guild Master came over to her and spoke. She had been lost in a train of thought relating to what she 1was going to say, and she was glad she wouldn't have more time to mull it over and get nervous. "Heh, I'd been with Phoenix Wing for months before the whole Magic Council incident, but I wasn't an official member till a couple months ago. I was the dragon." She giggled slightly, and smiled. "Glad to know people don't figure it out at first glance! Anyway, I guess I should introduce myself, uhm, I'm Mithera of Phoenix Wing!" She smiled more, shifting a tad nervously however. She couldn't bring herself to immediately ask what she had come here to ask yet, afraid of how he might answer.

Jack had to think a moment on what dragon she meant before it clicked, the little white one that had been acting as something of a mascot or something. "Ah, yes! Jamie had mentioned something about your magic, but I couldn't remember the specifics. A shifter mage is not uncommon. Glad to make your acquaintance. What is it you need?"

Mithera would nod, and take a deep breath. She guessed that Jack just wasn't that much of a small talk guy. She would move her hands from the table to her lap before speaking. "Yeah, mines, uhm, kinda weird, anyway. I was hoping I could maybe borrow a few of your members to uh, kinda serve as bodyguards and travel companions, I guess... Uh, anyway, I kinda need them because, uhm, I need to warn a friend of mine that Iron Enigma's after them, but they can't know I'm going. Which is, well, uh, that's basically why I'm not still the dragon. And why I don't want to bring Phoenix Wing members." Her cheeks would redden slightly in embarrassment, and she'd smile weakly at the guild master.

Jack tapped his chin thoughtfully, his confrontation with Jamie still fresh. Still, he didn't pregrudge her like she seemed to think he did, and he hoped to clarify that at the dinner tonight. "I'm not sure who I can spare, but I'll put some thought into it. I can't send any of my S-Class with you though, because one is on the team and the other is reserve, but I can send a couple."

Mithera nodded as she adjusted her dress, unable to figure out how to get it to fit on her just right, though it was mostly the lacrima in her bra that was giving her trouble. "Thanks. I r-really apreciate it... Damn thing." She'd re-adjust it a bit more, before giving Jack an exasperated look. She'd then blush a little, figuring he probably doesn't know a whole bunch about dresses, and would take a quick breath before speaking again. "U-uhm, as a kind of, not entirely important side-note, I will be paying as much as I can. I, uh, hate owing people favors, but It probably will below... Proper paygrade for how long it's going to take, since the person I need to reach isn't in Fiore... Oh, and we might run into Iron Enigma's top members, b-but leaving before they do might let us avoid that, unless they skip the last day of the games..." She'd stare off into the distance for a moment before snapping back to the conversation at hand, trying to think of everything she should tell Jack. Everything that might go wrong, what might go right. She didn't dare say exactly where they were going however. She had no idea how deep Iron Enigma's network went, or anyone's, really. She took a deep breath. "Grant's definitely a danger... His precognition can turn even the most lopsided battle in his favor." She'd say softly, mostly to herself.

Jack began to catch on to her concerns and tapped his chin thoughtfully. He couldn't send Jake or Ammy, since Jake would be taking Jackie's spot in the Games, but Zen and Joslyn were definitely free, and they were a difficult combination to beat, even for an S Class. "I begin to see what you need, so first order of business. We don't need payment. Phoenix Wing is still our ally, even if Jamie might have a hard time believing that, and she is still my friend. Second, I will send Joslyn and Zen with you. They're only A-Class, but the two together make a team even an S-Class mage has trouble besting."

Mithera would nod. "Alright, well. Let's hope we don't have to deal with Iron Enigma anyway, a-and I'd feel kinda b-bad if I didn't at least give your members at l-least a bit of money for, you know, dragging them across the continent and back. So let me at least p-pay them some amount." She'd say, shivering slightly, and rubbing her arms. "A-and there is the wh-whole... I have no kind of proper papers to cross borders with. A-at least not as a human, and m-my dragon form is a tad conspicuous. Especially the, uhm, big one." She was secretly hoping to get him to give up another number to help her out, though she was sure that if he did it'd definitely be a big enough group for Iron Enigma to pick up something was off, though she was sure that they would avoid dealing with them anywhere near Crocus. Once they were out away from civilization however, she knew they wouldn't hesitate to try to kill, save Luna.

"Zen knows ways around the border security, so don't worry about that. And as for payment, well, I will leave it up to them to decide if they want it. Do not feel ashamed to accept help without offering reward."

Mithera would nod. "Alright. B-but I don't really th-think of it as a reward, more of c-compensation for g-going so far out of their way, you know?" She'd look down at her hands, looking pale as ever. With a breath she'd look up at Jack, a light smile on her face. "Thanks for helping me out. It means a lot to me." She would then half stand up, planning on giving the guild master a hug for being so nice. What happened instead was that she would almost immediately fall over, yelping as her hands slapped against the cold hard floor. She'd look up at Jack with a blush. "U-uhm... O-oops?" She'd nervously offer before climbing back up into her chair, biting her lip.

Jack walked over and fixed the table and then gave Mithera a hug, having picked up on her intentions. "I'm glad to help, Mithera. I'll get Zen and Joslyn ready to leave. Oh, and I suggest getting better at the two legs thing." He smiles softly at his own joke.

Mithera would hug jack tightly back, not letting go for a long moment, and would nod. "Yeah alright. Thanks again." She'd grin a bit. "And yeah, I know about how I gotta get better about the whole two legs. I, well, I haven't had only two legs for a loooong time. It's even worse that you guys don't even have tails. I mean, c'mon, what's with that?" She'd giggle, smiling more. "Anyway, I guess, if we do run into Iron Enigma's strong guys, I've got a panic button in the form of a communication lacrima, so if things go really bad, at least everyone will probably make it out OK."

"I doubt my members would abandon you."

Mithera would shake her head. "No, I meant if... If we get in a situation someone might die, I can get emergency backup." Her voice would go quiet, and she'd rest her arms on the table. "I never thought about them just abandoning me."

Jack nodded, regretting his choice of words. "That was wrong of me to think. That said, I don't think Zen or Joslyn would want you to do that if they could buy you time to get away."

MIthera would just shake her head slightly, dropping to look down at her feet. "I... I would hate for any of your members to get hurt. I would feel terrible if that happened, even if it was their choice." The woman would gently fold her arms against her stomach, leaning back in her chair some, but not too much lest she fall again. "I hate it when people get hurt on my behalf... God I wish my magic was a lot more useful than it is." She'd sigh again, looking worried now.

Jack chuckles and rests a hand on her shoulder. "Your magic does exactly what you need it to do, and nothing more or less. If you want to tell me where you want everyone to meet, I'll get everyone heading there."

Mithera would nod, and smile a bit towards him. "I guess I due owe the fact I'm alive entirely to my magic, most of the time it doesn't really do anything for me in a pinch. Well, unless I sustain some internal injury or something... But, uhm, I think everyone should meet up at the east entrance to the city, since that's the direction we want to go... We'll probably head to the train station from there."

Jack nods, already pulling together the stuff he needs to inform the pair of before they leave. "I will have them meet you there within the hour. In the mean time, if you need anything else," he hands her a phone and shows her his number, "call me if you require anything else from my guild. If I can spare it, I'll get it to you."
"Oh, I've already got a communication... thing." Mithera would pull the communication lacrima from its hiding place under her bra. "So, uh, I think I should be able to communicate with you. Uhm, if I knew entirely how this thing worked, I mean. But I know how to talk to Jarvis."

"Then this will allow you to reach me quickly."

"Err, okay, I guess..." Mithera would nod some, and take the new communication device, placing it opposite of the lacrima Jarvis had given her. "Thanks again, for helping me. Now... I've got to see if i can get to the east entrance before your guys do." She'd smile, before beginning to stand up, holding onto the table for support. "It's sweet that everyone's so nice and trying to help me. I know everyone's not like that, but everyone other than Iron Enigma so far has been, and I really like it."

"The world is always full of kindness, though we have no way of knowing that with all the evil that buries it. Remember, for as long as Jamie and I live, our two guilds will always look out for each other, no matter how many rough patches we have."

"Yeah... I'm sure it means a lot to Jamie, to know that they're not the only person looking after Phoenix Wing." She'd give him a big smile, and start walking towards the exit to the hotel, moving slowly, and trying to keep her balance. "Say hi to everyone for me, though it isn't, really, entirely necessary I guess."

Jack nods, watching her in case he needs to catch her. "I will do so anyways. It's good to know that your friends are still OK when possible."

Mithera would nod again, and give him one last big smile. "Alright... Thanks, for like the millionth time, I guess. We'll probably be back in a few weeks to a month or two... I guess... Uh, yeah." Mithera would just kind-of shrug, trying to walk normally, though she'd be bent forward a little, trying to keep her balance while she walked. She'd stumble quite a few times before getting to the door, and she'd be rather slow about it. Once she gets there, she'd look back over at Jack. "Or you could send them here and they could help me over to the East exit where, uhm, I think there's one more guy that's going with. We'll meet him there, then probably grab a train to the border. Or something..."

Jack nods and pulls out a lacrima and speaks into it. After a couple minutes, the pair, Zen and Joslyn, walk down stairs and Joslyn offers to help Mithera stand. "Don't worry Miss Mithera, we'll make sure you don't get hurt!" Joslyn was obviously a very happy person.

Mithera's cheeks would turn a soft pink as the two came down, and she would gently take Joslyn's hand. "No need to be quite so formal. J-just Mithera is fine, guys. A-and I'm probably the person you need to least worry about getting hurt, since, uhm, my magic allows me to kinda fix injuries that'd normally be deadly in an hour or so." She'd start moving towards the door, opening it to leave.

Zen snorted as Joslyn giggled. "Trust me, even healing magic can be out paced. But we won't let that need come into play."

Mithera would rub the back of her head as they went outside. "I know, I-i'm just saying if someone has to g-get stabbed, I'm the p-preferred victim. As long as I'm awake that is. Uhm, anyway, what're you two's names again?" She'd look out along the street as she held the door and Jsolyn's hand to keep herself balanced, letting them come out with her.

Zen sighed and turned to look at her. "Names Zen, Wind Make mage." For emphasis, he makes a ship that sails around the trio. Joslyn giggles at Zen and spins around, a pair of water make macaws appearing as she moves.

"And I'm Joslyn, a Water Make Mage."

Mithera looked at the two as they talked, smiling softly. "Cool." She'd say to their magics, and quietly repeat their names to herself. "I'm Mithera, uhm, A form of transformation mage. I don't really know what to call it specifically. And, uhm, I can't give a direct demonstration, sadly." She'd smile a bit more at them, but would keep them moving on.

After a while they’d come to the edge of town, and instead of approaching Valak directly, Mithera would make her presence known to the other mage by holding her pale hand high in the air for a long moment and making eye contact when he was looking her way. Once she was sure he had seen her, she dropped her hand, and started off towards the train station.

Mayt shrugged, glancing over at Wes as he left, and he waved goodbye before standing up. ”See you around Wes. Don’t get yourself hurt hunting for Shutler.” Once the other mage was gone, he sighed, and glanced around the train platform.

He noticed a small group getting onto the station and heading towards the train. Though, to be honest, he mostly only noticed the tall woman that was easily the closest thing to albino that wasn’t actually albino he had ever seen, with her white hair and her practically marshmello-colored skin. She looked at him just before she got on the train, and after obvious flash of recognition, she had disappeared into the vehicle. Mayt shrugged, not recognizing her, and moved to get on the train as well. ”Deserve S-Class, right. Running away is so honorable.” He climbed onto the next car down from Mithera and the others, and soon enough the train began to move, going east.

Fleo Plector – Phoenix Wing Hotel

@Burthstone@Zarkun

Always striving to be a kindred spirit, Fleo found empathy to be a fruitless calling once in a while, but for the most part the ability to connect with her fellow man fulfilled her, making her feel as if she were truly living life to the fullest. Following the urges of her guiding light did not always appear to be so easy, but loving her neighbor just as herself always struck Fleo as doable. Her heart hurt, then, when the trembling star before her burned against her. Luna’s accusatory tirade paralyzed her, slapping the dusty woman with a baneful tone even if her words held no true venom. When Luna advanced, Fleo retreated, appalled that someone might think her a threat. It just didn’t compute—how could a woman of dust, so joyous just to be out in the world and experiencing what it had to offer be so cruel? What had she done to deserve these charges?

The idea suffused her, though, that Luna did not blame her specifically. She saw herself at odds with Phoenix Wing, though Fleo couldn’t rightly say that what flowed from Luna now was hatred. If anything the sorceress appeared perilously close to despair; this deep, dark rut Fleo knew all too well. Despite feeling attacked, then, she remained quiet, and listened with a tragically upset face to the indictments of Iron Enigma. As she heard the names, Fleo tried to connect them to faces, succeeding only with Deyja and Mark, who represented their guild in the Games. For the first time she felt truly dubious about Iron Enigma, imagining from Luna’s description that hers was a legitimate Dark Guild. When Luna finished, the dusty woman could think of nothing to say. How do I help this…?

Her hesitation allowed Damian and Penny to step in instead. They both attempted to tell her how wrong her guild was, neither quite comprehending the psychological struggle afflicting her. Assertions about Amelia’s nature occupied more of their attention than attempts to sympathize. Fleo proved, however, too slow to come to poor Luna’s aid, and before she could think of anything that might help, other Phoenix Wingers had piled into the hotel and the lone Iron Enigma mage had disappeared onto the street. Feeling like a failure, Fleo withdrew back to her table to sit in silence and think.

Jillian Suede – Frenzy Camp Center

@Caits

The smile on Jillian’s face eroded like a river’s rock to witness Gabriel’s display. From his reluctance she expected no special grace or fluidity to his movements, but the boy’s behavior went beyond untalented to appear ludicrous and phony. It did not seem possible that anyone could be so completely deaf to perfectly good music as to underperform this drastically. Though by no means a gift of Jillian’s, dancing was something with which she held a comfortable familiarity, and even unskilled dancers at least resonated with something by accident. As she watched it became increasingly obvious that the boy was neither merely untalented or not trying; he was purposefully trying to do badly, in as blatant a manner as possible.

Robbed of her enthusiasm and crestfallen, Jillian frowned. Why would he mock her like this? His behavior over the months since his arrival at the guild indicated completely that he preferred being alone. Never did he attempt to socialize with the others, or go out of the way to assist them or being around them. Thinking this to be shyness, a kind of recalcitrance coming from a lack of opportunity, Jillian had been pleased to extend her hand and help him. Now, she watched him throw it in her face, making fun of her with this exaggerated, purposeful show and asserting her mistake in trying to prod him into camaraderie.

A few moments later, he appeared next to her. Resolving not to let his jibe get to her, Jillian smiled. ”Nobody gets it on their first try, hon. Just do whatcha feel like; I’m not gonna push ya. G’night.” Turning around, the elegant soldier waddled off toward the sleeping tents, most likely to turn in for the night.

Cecilia Lenin – Frenzy Camp

@Raijinslayer

At the sound of a cough, Cecilia didn’t immediately turn away from her book, only realizing after a couple of seconds that someone had made a bid for her attention. Clapping the book shut, the young knight turned her attention to Argus, blinking a few times to focus. Immediately it became somewhat obvious, despite her courteous attempt to hide it, that she did not feel completely at ease.

”Wasn’t it Beardo that helped you into the guild? Anyway, I am happy to see that you’re feeling better, and that you think you’ve made a good choice. I am not one for dancing. My mother’s serious manner is my own. My apologies.” A strange look passed her face. No shame or doubt should have prickled her for a refusal well within her right to make, but the plaintive expression on the demon’s face made her feel guilty for wanting, unequivocally, to be without his presence. ”Come morning, however, I can have coffee with you, if you wish.” Cecilia’s face did not lend itself well to smiling, its contours more accustomed to businesslike neutrality or a cynical frown. All the same, she made it apparent that she did not wish to alienate the repentant demon Argus.

Kumbha Yatta – Frenzy Camp

@hatakekuro

A hearty laugh rang out as the various Frenzy Plant members, previously occupied with the tossing of Dalton like a hot potato, dispersed to attend to other little celebrations. Smirking widely, a big-chinned man moved between Enma and Dalton to clap both Oni and Exceed on the back. However awkward the maneuver owing to the participants’ vastly disparate heights, Kumbha’s enthusiasm shone through it all. ”What a game, catch with a cat! A hundred thanks to you, my little purple friend. I am truly astonished that you agreed to such a rough sport! You are made of tough stuff.” He reached out for the nearest table and took a mug of beer that most certainly wasn’t his. Straightening himself up, he quaffed the foaming brew in a few gulps, savoring the flavor as he wondered how Enma could down an entire keg. The sight of Dalton coaxing a pompadour from his grape-colored fur only gave rise to further questions. ”You, sirs, are strange ones, but any man or beast who can get hype is a comrade of mine. I know you well, Enma, but you, cat, I know not at all. Tell me: who are you and from where do you hail?” Kumbha seated himself on a stool and cupped his great chin in a hand, intrigued.

Nero the Genie – Shunji Aki Restaurant

@liferusher@oblivion666@lmpkio

Nero held his arm across Ayame’s shoulders, deadpan, while steely Malice made a scene. He watched her weep and moan, slowly moving his arm upward like a snake getting ready to pounce. Ignoring Sayatachi’s compliment, he snapped his fingers, and a new eyepatch appeared on Malice’s face. This one was a purple ribbon, tight enough to not be lost but comfortable on her skin, and the patch appeared to be raven-black, with a gleaming golden eye of silk stitched where her eye might be. ”Jeez, way to get worked up. Didn’t I say I was good with clothes? Not even a minute ago.”

He followed the others in, swaggering through the high-class restaurant as if he owned the place. The place’s breathtaking ornamentation captured his imagination, firing him up for the design of garments fit for an eastern lord. His mischievousness did not fall by the wayside, however, and as the group seated themselves Nero held up a finger and twirled it around. On the heads of Malice, Sayatachi, and Ayame appeared goofy propeller caps. The Genie’s ensuing giggles lasted until the waiter arrived, after which he whipped open his menu and selected the first thing that looked good, paying no mind to the price. ”A fruit soda and a Sevenese Pocket, please.” Crossing his arms, Nero waited for the others to order.

carrie
@Oblivion666
"you better sleep with one eye open, cause when you least expect it, wham, bam! I'll get you back" Carrie muttered in annoyance, "it's a nice offer but we can't be seen asking any one guild for help, even if it's run by a wizard saint. It looks like favoritism, and we are already getting flack over the punishment of Phoenix wing attacking the council: Jamie paid the price, and that's all the public needs to know" in any other state Carrie wouldn't dare say anything like this, but it was clear the day had taken its toll on her, as she laid back down, and in moments was asleep.

gabriel
Gabriel supposed he should have expected what he saw on jillians face as she watched him. He suspected she didn't see that he had seen. As she walked off, he struggled before reaching out to stop her, saying "I'm not trying to be discourteous, Jillian. I really can't dance. Music is...hard for me to understand. I can't hear the beats. I suppose it's tone deaf...I don't know. So I'm sorry, really

I'm trying"
he knew that sounded pathetic, but what could be say?

He stood there, unable to watch Jillian go, he hung his head, "I don't know what to do" he rocked back on his heels, before trotting off to his own tent, he hugged himself, wondering why he was even still here, if he just kept on doing things wrong. Why did he continue to try, when he unintentionally made things worse?

Day four (seems like it should be more then that!) of the magic games

As the new day dawned, a magic council member found themselves in a strange room, on a strange bed, with headphones over her ears, blinking against light leaking in from a slit in the curtain. Carrie found herself at odds, puzzled by the situation, as she took the headphones off, frowning at them. She felt fuzzy, a mild ache at the back of her head, and she blinked, looking about the room.

jessie
@hatakekuro

Jessie was up early, dancing about happily as she dressed, wriggling into jeans and a shirt, she pulled her hair back in a slack pony tail, before just about skipping out her small apartment.

She made her way, humming happily, to Ferris's room, knocking on the door, she rocked back on her heels. She had, on the way over, got coffee bagels and donuts, a perfect meal in her opinion, and she shifted them in her arms as she waited for the door to be answered.

Sasha

Sasha woke from a relatively sleepless night, bleary eyed. She got ready slowly, wondering if she should go check on Lazarus, but...the way he had snapped at her yesterday made her feel like that might be bothersome. She felt off stride, and she didn't like it. Sighing to herself, she started down, wondering if today would be as chaotic as the last few days.

penny

Penny was awake long into the night, reading and rereading a letter she had found on her bed, after she had settled Jasmine in a room, promising they'd search for her family in the morning.

All that was left of the letter in the morning was a pile of ash, but Penny didn't need the letter to know the words. She was troubled, feeling like she needed to be in several places at once, but unable to do so. More and more she was starting to feel like she was taking on the overflow that Master Jamie and Jarvis couldn't handle.

She didn't mind it, but she wanted to find answers for Karn. Sweeping up the pile of ash, she threw it in the fireplace, effectively hiding the evidence of the letter. Tying her hair back, Penny started out the room, frowning slightly, Master Jamie would normally have them moving by now.'she glanced down the hallway, wondering if she should get the teams moving.

Master Jamie
Jamie had only returned to the hotel room long enough to put Sam to bed, before leaving. She didn't go far, climbing up to the roof of the hotel. She didn't sleep. She sat where she was, and laid her head on her knees, pulled up to her chest. That's how she stayed, staring at the starry night.

Sometime during the night, images flashed in front of her eyes as if the stars were rearranging themselves. The day she met Jarvis, the day they were too late to save a little boy, the slow, almost lolling fall into love, the day they got married, losing Sam, and then the weeks of pain, of grief, until they ran into a big bruiser type, being hounded for the simple fact he could use magic. Opening the Guild, a tether for both of them, a lifeline in the sea of...grief. The first Mage to sign up, the brusier, long dead now but never forgotten. The joy of being able to help other mages, of finding peace in everything. And then the guild really took off, and Things were...better.

Jamie felt lost, the steady ache in her chest from the loss of the seven forms, the seven beings that had influenced her life in one way or another over the years, leaving her feeling isolated, and as alone as she had been on a long time. She knew she would do it all over again, for Sam. For her children.

She knew she had been, even the tiniest amount, out of line the day before, that she'd taken it all too personal. But the guild was personal to her, it had been the place they'd found laughter again. So it damn well was personal when someone attacked how she ran the guild or one of her members.

But she always did what was right for her guild. As the sun rose, Jamie let out a weary sigh, and uncurled herself, rising, making her way to the room.

Jarvis
Jarvis began to get ready, knocking on the room Amelia and Sam were in, "come on girls, get moving!" he said, glancing at the time. Worried, he went to a window to see if he could see Jamie anywhere.

Michael
Once more Michael would be found on the roof of the dragon fang hotel, with Uriel again. The young boy was panting and probably had more bruisers then he would have simply sparring with one of the guild members, but he had landed a few hits on Uriel, which he was positively thrilled at.

He was thrilled with how far he had come. But he knew he had a long way to go. He headed down to clean up, and then to get some food

gabriel
Use to early mornings, Gabriel was already awake with the sun and tidying up his things, he had never quite got out the habit of packing them all away, ready to travel. Even after two months, it was hard to get in the frame of mind of not having to move on each day.

He headed out of his tent, blinking at the light. He rustled up some food, sausages, bacon, potatoes, and some seasonings. Perhaps a weird breakfast, but Gabriel found it to be quite filling, and...perhaps it might help the games team win.

It didn't take long, something easily made. All you had to do was throw it all in a skillet after you chopped it, and then let it cook. What took the longest was cutting it all up, enough for the whole guild.

Gabriel enjoyed cooking. It was something he could do quite easily, and without much thought. And cooking around a camp fire was a skill you picked up quite quickly when you didn't have a home. And he had missed it. Camping out was just so simple...

He sighed. And stired the food, not wanting to burn it. He didn't know how anyone could screw up breakfast, but he figured if anyone could he would. So he was trying not to.

Angelo yawned as he woke up the next day from his sleep. Today he had to have someone escort him around since alone he was a moving target. As evidence from his attack yesterday with the glass figures. Angelo went to take a shower then he changed making sure to bring mark along as he went downstairs to eat breakfast...

Trinity Stratos

Trinity woke with the sun that morning, rising and stretching at the foot of her bed before her morning bath.

When she stepped out of her room, her hair was still damp. She was walking around the hotel in bare feet that morning, as well, her feet leaving brief spots of moisture on the floor that evaporated quickly. The minstrel found Penny in the hall outside her room, and approached. She should report yesterday's events.

"Penny." Trinity approached the Phoenix magician, smiling softly. "Slept well, I hope? Not to bother you first thing in the morning, but I have a bit of news for you. Nightshade Silphium tried again, yesterday, while I was in my way back here. There were three, the guy from last time not among them. That makes for four... But, that's not the important part. I detect dissent within their ranks."

Karn || Crocus || Phoenix Wing Hotel

Karn snapped her eyes open a bit tiredly. Sleep had been a bit restless when voices in your head chatter about like maniacs. Of course, when she does finally go to sleep, it just gets more bizarre. Ariel shows up in her dreams, and not in the entertaining value kind of way. Not that the girl was her type but still, dreams are dreams. And she preferred them over nightmares. The blonde had to wonder if that was just a dream, or it was reality. Whoever knows with all this magic crap. If it wasn't for being a soul trapped in a male's counterpart of herself body then she probably wouldn't consider such a thing. But for all she knew, Ariel could be stuck in here as well. Good Goddess... she rather not have to look out for two other souls. One was difficult enough. Speaking of which....

"Karn... Are you there?" Edo-Karn thought, trying to poke a answer out of the other residing soul.

No response. From him anyway.

"Sup! What's cracka lackin?"

Ugh.

Deciding to ignore the voice she rolled out of bed and lazily straightened out her messed up rags for clothes. Not like any help on her part would make these clothes look any better. She looked in his suitcase for more suitable clothes..... but it was just filled with the girliest shit that made her question if women actually be caught dead in these at all anymore?

So that idea is out the window.

To be honest, she just wanted to stay in bed and not have to deal with people. These people. Idiotic people. Weird talking cat people. Whatever people. But she sighed and mildly brushed a slender hand through her blonde locks, looking at her hand in minor disapproval at how she could tell it felt weaker to her own body. Trying to push obvious body differences from her mind, as well as random idiotic voices, and head out of the room. She did think about taking a bath but she wasn't sure she was fully prepared yet to get that intimate with her male body just yet. Curiosity indeed was there, as sure anyone who was genderbent would be, minus possibly being horrified, but still. Meditation was needed and required for a full on scrub down. One must be perfectly comfortable with their own body in order to have a calm mind and confidence. At least the one that is currently being in controlled.

Walking down the hall, arms crossed over her chest, she walked on mostly ignoring everyone else other than giving a mild wave in greeting. Otherwise, she calmly went along like nothing was wrong. She could whine and complain yet there was no point in it. Some people knew her situation, but it wasn't like she was the only one in a situation. Not exactly all polite to go freaking out and making demands like a moron. When things get a bit down to the wire in the sense she can exactly control the situation anymore, then she might. Unless she just decides she has enough or found a solution. Either way, she'll probably give them at least a warning if she's about to obliterate their guildmate's soul.

Today was a little better as she felt a little less uncomfortable as she sat down at the table to eat breakfast. People who held faces of dead people became somewhat... normal. After all, her brain was constantly throwing it at her to really dead people. So what if alternatives were hanging around and chatting? Mhmm maybe going mentally insane was somehow therapeutic? Such a weird thing to happen. She was unsure if she should be disturbed or thankful. Still, Mayt and Damian are probably still the least tolerable to deal with. Shaking the thoughts aside she just started devouring the food.

Curse this bottomless pit of a stomach.

Prince || Dragon Fang Hotel

Prince was in the rafters of the hotel, lying on his back on a hanging beam, humming a soft tune as his tail rolled over the side. Half of his face was covered in blood, yet he didn't seem to care or notice. Yawning, his ears twitched slightly, the back of his hand rubbing against his face like a cat cleaning himself absently.

Damian Gerard|Secluded park in Crocus

If anyone went to Damian's room to get him that morning, he wouldn't be there, nor would it look like he'd been in there at all that previous night. Instead, he'd taken the night to head out to a park he'd found on Day Two of the games with the two cutlasses he'd arrived to Phoenix Wing with months ago. He'd taken a sleeping bag, his armor, and some spare clothes. He needed some time alone, to think on his magic and on some letters he'd been getting from one of the surviving members of his dad's old unit. As the sun rose, Damian was already awake, cutlasses in hand and running through some old drills he hadn't done since he'd figured out Blade Change. Their weight felt solid in his hands, familiar in a way that he was using as a comfort.

Master Jamie and Jarvis had looked both shaken and more exhausted than he'd ever seen them before. And, despite his own outward appearance of confidence and calm, for the most part, he was beginning to worry just what kinds of trouble the actions of his guild had been taking in the last few months. The attack by that dark guild the previous day had only just made it sink in deeper that things were getting bad in the country again, and he couldn't shake the feeling that war, of some kind, was on the horizon. He just couldn't say when.
