I added a new rule to account for any future inactivity that occurs! If you want your character to be exclusively yours, please alert me. If you don't tell me your stance on the rule I will assume you're agreeing with it~

This looks pretty interesting, especially since I've finished Worm :P

Might join. Still looking around. I already love the abilities I've read so far. I'll check out more of the OP soon and probably peruse what sorts of personalities are present as well at some point ^_^

So is there any terribly central story idea or plot direction that I ought to keep in mind or is it more sandbox style?

Sandbox style for now, but that'll probably change as we move forward in the IC.

Yeah, either by natural progression of people figuring out what sorts of things they want to do (thus creating conflict between villains and heroes) or by way of GM plans :P

Or both. I like both, not that my opinion yet matters since I've not made a character yet lol.

I shouldn't have that as my whole answer, and I'll expand on what you said a bit so no one is in the dark as far as my plan. Right now I want people to get used to roleplaying their characters and gain a deeper understanding of the ways their powers can be used in combat situations. This means their character will learn new ways to use their power as the roleplay continues (this also happens in the story, and it's a great way to parallel two different kinds of character development). People who haven't read the book need to learn this fairly quickly, and I was hoping to guide people towards that through keeping the beginning pretty much a "Do whatever you want, almost no consequence" type environment.

Also of course your opinion matters!

Hmm, interesting methodology that. Also thanks! :)

I'm currently considering a villain I think, but looking at it we may need more wards. I could do both, but I don't know if there is a policy on multiple characters or not.

Current ability classifications I may explore are as follow:

Changer/Shifter(10), Brute(3), Tinker(6).
–Someone with enhanced durability and/or strength who can alter their physical abilities and possesses an intuitive grasp of some branch of science–

Thinker(8), Breaker(4), Striker(9).
–Someone with some form of enhanced mental or perceptual ability that can break some law, or laws, of physics. They are able to apply their ability on contact or at point blank range–

Striker(6), Brute(3), Mover(1).
–Someone with an ability that enhances durability/strength, allows them to apply an effect at point blank/on contact. Their abilities/ability will also involve the capacity to affect movement of some form upon other things or themselves–

Thinker(8), Shaker(2), Master(5).
–Someone with an ability that improves their perception or mental abilities, but also involves controlling something else within an area of effect.–

Not too sure on the last one.

Though they all sound pretty interesting, they are more then a little bit vague. I'd suggest choosing one of the power sets which you find particularly interesting and expand on the idea from there. I can't really give an ultimate opinion till you make it more specific~

Yes, I know. They are nothing but ideas for scope and general shaping of the ability rather than showcases of the ability itself. Just finished my read through the character's personalities and biographies. They all look pretty interesting, good job guys haha. I know none of you know me just yet, but I figured most writers enjoy being acknowledged for their efforts ^_^

So yeah. I don't have any favorites, but I am curious to see where Scarlet and Chroma end up later what with their questionable morals and whatnot. I do enjoy some moral greyness :3

I have reached the point where I'm thinking it'll be better for me to figure out what sort of person I want to play rather than what sort of abilities I want to give them. It's probably because of how the world of Worm (and the story) originally played out where it was more about the personalities than it was the abilities...in a fashion.

Now my issue will be trying to do something fresh and interesting haha. Only made an issue because I've made so many characters throughout the years xD

Updated some stuff. Read through the PRT, protectorate and villain section again if you want to know the information I added.

Hi everyone! New meat member here, though I've been a fan of Worm for a while. I've already submitted my CS to solokolos and gotten it approved, but I thought I'd say hi before I started posting.

Welcome 4x9, though I've only joined recently myself and I'm still working on/figuring out a character. In that vein of thought I have a question.

Are we limited to playing people in their teens or are we allowed to make someone older? My idea in particular is for a villain who turned to crime to support his family and be able to pay the medical bills to treat his potentially terminally ill wife. I've not made any real distinction as to whether he will have only recently turned to crime (or if his actions have yet attracted the attention of notable parties such as the Protectorate, Wards, and/or PRT) so I can make him pretty new to things or I can pose him as an older more experienced villain that others could rally around.

*shrugs* I'm not terribly set on either eventuality, so yeah. Tis up in the air. Still not certain as to the specifics of this character. I just have the base idea at the moment.

For villains age doesn't matter, but I'd prefer the characters be unskilled with using their powers in combat settings.

Noted. Also what is the rule on characters? Only one per player (permanently or just for now) or multiple?

Multiple is fine, but don't submit more then one at once. It'll also depend on my (or the other two gm's) personal discretion.

Saw the edits to the information, and I really like the extra characters and depth you've added. I do have a minor nitpick though: in the original Wormverse, Earths were named for letters of the Hebrew alphabet: Aleph, Bet, Gimel, etc. If you're looking for the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, Wikipedia says it's Tav, not Omeg. Of course, it's your world and you're free to name it however you like, just putting that out there.

Also, since it's an AU, do Endbringers still exist? Scion? The Triumvirate? PHO? Should we assume that nothing from Earth Bet carries over except what you explicitly state?
