Charles raised his eyebrows "cooking.." he groans slightly.. something he didn't really like but not like had to much of a choice.. though who ever teams up with him will probably fail it along with him, he looked at the others wondering who he should try to team up with.

Theo didn't really care who he paired up with, he had been living away from home for some time now and could cook well enough for himself. As he tried to figure out who to pair with he caught eye of Charles who seemed almost in pain over the thought of having to cook. Theo walked over and gave him a pat on the back, "Charlie my boy, how would you like to be my partner for cooking?"

Charles jumped a bit when Theo surprised him, he looks to him and gives a big sigh with a slight chuckle. "Got to be more careful there man, give a guy a little bit of warning before you pat him on the back" he chuckles "Sure man, let kick some but" he says putting his fist up for a fist bump.

As Collin walked towards the direction Gem gestured, his gaze was locked onto the mechanical heart he had. For the past minute, Collin had been staring at heart. The rust went from just being around the edges of the heart, to covering the whole metal, to the metal crumbling in on itself. The heart itself was no longer recognizable. It looked as if there was just an old piece of scrap metal in his hand.

What the hell is this? Collin thought to himself. First, phasing hand and then this rotting metal thing. And what was that gas that came out of my mouth? I go from not having any powers to having a whole assortment in 30 minutes... Collin's thoughts were interrupted by Gem's announcement.

"This is the room where we will learn life skills. Life skills is anything that you can use in everyday life to survive there are many things we will learn. I want you to pair up. Today you will be learning how to cook." Gem said.

Collin's head slowly lifted up and he looked at Gem, bewildered at what he said. "Cooking? Are you serio- Ack!" Collin had walked himself into a wall and knocked himself on the floor. The now deteriorated piece of metal went flying out of his hand as he slide on his butt. At first, he was silent for a moment. The shock of the fall made Collin forget about his experience in the testing room, and in turn, snapped him out of his pessimistic thoughts. So instead, he laughed. He laughed at the absurdity of the situation. He found it funny how he could disable a robotic guard (rather gruesomely) one moment and then meet his match with a wall to the next. He found it funny how right after spewing some gas that looked rather poisonous he would be cooking. He was relaxed again.

"Eheh, sorry about that guys," Collin said, brushing himself off and standing up. "I'm all good now. And ready for this whole cooking thing. I can make one mean omelet." He smiled, his eyes bright once more.

@KahleenCuthald Aurora squeezes Evangeline's hand. "Sure, I'd love to be your partner" she said with a smile.

Aurora pulls Evangeline with her, as she walks to where collin is standing. "You okay Collin? It looked like you hit wall pretty hard" She said as she looked him up and down to see if he had any injuries.

Roxy rolled her eyes. Oh goody, she thought partners. She had known it would happen sooner or later. She wasn't very good at working with others. She had major trust issues. She looked over the selection offered. If she had to work with someone it had to be someone she could take down if she ad to. She doubted it wouldbe necessary but it was better to be safe than sorry. She wasn't going to let her guard down around these people yet.n

"Nothing I can't handle,. Maybe a bruise on my back at the worst, but I'm fine. I was too busy being an idiot to notice where I was going. You trying to show off your powers?" Collin smiled and ruffled Aurora's hair. "If that's the case, I'm ok with it. I'm curious to see what it is."

Hmm...cooking? not something Lavi would expect to learn from this facility. and on top of that, he'd need to team with someone. He didn't know who would want to team with him. He looked around and noticed others gaining partners. He Roxy with no one but unsure if she'd even give him a chance as a partner. Collin....he may not have a partner but the others may be a little hesitant teaming with him after what he did but now that he's fallen and seemingly back into the nice guy, others could be disturbed by that but either way, Lavi took interest in him so....what the hell, give it a shot.

Lavi walked over to where Collin and Eva was standing @jeroukoo "You ok bro? do you wanna team with me?"

"You ok bro? do you wanna team with me?" Lavi said to Collin. He shifted to face Lavi and nodded.

"Yeah man, I'm good. Just fell down, a little bruise but nothing major. Aurora here just wanted to show off her, right?" Collin laughed softly at her. "Oh, and as for cooking, I gotcha bud. Like I said, I can make an omelet, but I'm also pretty good at pasta. Mac and cheese to be specific."

looking him up and down and studying his expression, Lavi smirked and then gave a chuckle "I gotcha. Well...I'm good at grilling....and I can make some hellified pancakes." he mentioned as well. "We should be ok regarding the food."

Marinna held her bag up on her shoulder as she crossed the threshold into the facility. She weaved through others there and kept her chin up. Marinna could not help but think of her family, however, she would not let that distract her. The building seemed a bit high tech and she wondered who was funding this place.

"You guys are gonna be my new squad", Evangeline expressed her thoughts. She loved those two. And on top of that Aurora was very hot. But she was 15 right? And Eve was 18. That wouldn't go well. Evangeline softly pulled her hand away from the girl as she felt her skin get frozen spots beneath her gloves. She backed away a step and tried not to think about anything that could upset her. She stuffed her hands beneath her arms, hiding them and concealing her feelings. Conceal don't feel, right? Don't let them know. Collin is right. I am a fucked up Elsa.

"Ha yeah right, two master chefs right here. This cooking thing will be a breeze." Collin held his hand up for a high five for Lavi.

"Yeah, we have The Miracle Healing Girl, Elsa from Frozen, and the Heart-Puller-Outter!" Collin said with a laugh. "Not a bad squad at all."

Gem was heading to his office when someone arrived. He knew there were more gems out there. Ones that would take more time to get here. He went to the door. He opened it. "No one else waited for m to greet them. Come I will lead you to the others. They are preparing lunch. You can find a partner."

After a bit of wandering, Marinna found herself to the lunch room. Quite a few people seemed to be present so she found a table and kicked her feet up. Slouching, she gazed at the rest of the people present. Apparently everyone here would have abilities of some sort. Tilting her head and rolling a bit of hair between her lips, she watched the others.

"Ya, sorry about that, I forget I'm pretty quiet when I walk around," Theo said before giving Charlie a fist bump. "So, you have any experience in cooking? Is there a cooking skill tree you could go in to with your game power things?" He laughed a bit, meaning it partly as a joke, but he really did wonder exactly how his powers worked.

He would chuckle shaking his head "not really only thing I've really cooked was probably microwaveable stuff" he says with a chuckle then he would freeze in place "....skill.. tree..?.." he slows down when he reaches those words as some gears start turning and he starts talking to himself "..skills.. could it be that simple.. no it couldn't.. could it.." he starts going off into a daze thanks to that. "why didn't I think of something so simple..." he says as his mind starts to figure out some things thanks to Theo simply mentioning a skill tree, a simple game concept that Charlie never gave a moment thought.

Lavi went to give Collin a high five "That's right bro...I guess we can find out if there is anything already chosen for us to cook or if we can choose what we want to cook." He wondered.

While talking to Collin, Lavi noticed movement from the corner of his vision and looked over at this, what Lavi liked to call an 'hour glass, nice ass' figured female who just showed up, new obviously.

Marinna rummaged in her bag and pulled out a pack of gum and popped it in. While scoping the crowd she spotted another girl who happened to be sitting alone. May as well attempt to make friends while here. Standing and adjusting her clothes, she breezed past a few tables to the girl.

"Hey. Wanna chat or whatever? We're both just sitting here doing nothing." Marinna pulled her hair over one shoulder and gave the girl a closer look. They were text book, chick flick, foils. This would be interesting.
