Short Bio: Tohru isn't exactly the type of guy to spend his time playing video games. Honestly, the sole fact that he's become imprisoned in SAO was shocking for more than one person in his house.

Tohru is the heir apparent of a long line of Japanese traditionalists, hence why he couldn't keep his hair short as it is a custom in his house for men to use their hair long.

His family proclaims that it is their duty to keep Japan's traditions alive and kicking. Tohru thinks that they are just crazy, but they seem to truly believe this from the bottom of their hearts.

As such, Tohru has been trained in several aspects of the Japanese culture ever since he was young. He knows how to make tea the traditional way, smashing the tea leaves and whatnot, tea ceremonies, caligraphy, even some formal training in Japanese kenjutsu with a katana.

However, no one ever really did think that Tohru had any intention of taking over the Hazamura house, and they were spot on. Tohru really had no intention whatsoever of taking over house Hazamura, but he did not know how he would ever be able to avoid that.

Little time before the release of SAO, though, Tohru's family was blessed with the birth of a baby boy, and Tohru became certain that this boy would be able to take over his duty as the succesor.

The question was how, though. Tohru had heard from his grandfather, however, that video games poisoned the mind of younglings and strayed them away from the path of what was correct, and there was a certain Virtual Reality game that was going to be released soon-ish.

Tohru decided to give it a try. Of course, he never really did think that that 'try' would end up in the whole mess he now finds himself in.

Personality: Tohru is, at first, really polite and caring. He often calls other people's names with the suffix 'san' added at the end of them.

When you get to know him, though, you'll see that he is as likely to diss you as he is to praise you. He is often sarcastic and even cruel at times, preferring to face a harsh reality rather than sugarcoating the truth.

He is also hardheaded, competitive and strong willed, not to mention fiercely loyal. It can be quite hard to get him off your back or out of something once he's become attached.

Short Bio: Yutaka was always something of an odd-ball, and never really fit in with those around him. He always seemed to fade into the background. Though he is smart enough and skilled enough that he could be noticed if he pushed himself, he never bothered to put forth the effort. He enjoyed sitting in the shadows, watching other people deal with their drama and stresses while he led a relatively simple life. Trouble seemed to pass him by as often as any of his peers.

The Itoh family was not wealthy, but neither did it lack for anything Yutaka might need. His parents worked constantly, often leaving him to his own devices. Eventually sleeping for days on end lost its appeal and he began to take up hobbies, gaming among them. The release of SAO was important to him because that game seemed perfectly suited to his situation. With endless free time he saw no reason to dive in head first. By this time he was well acquainted with gaming in general, and felt prepared to take on the world. The revelation that dying in the game had serious consequences only made him all the more determined to find his place in this new world and survive to its eventual end.

Personality: Yutaka has ever been the quiet type, staying out of other peoples' business and hoping they kept to themselves. He doesn't speak often, and when he does it comes out blunt and direct. Something of a cynic, he is not afraid to force people to face the brutal truth when they try to delude themselves or others. While he does tend to read people fairly well, he isn't very comfortable in or used to social interactions, and often seems somewhat awkward or eccentric.

'Lloyd' has only come to favor his place in the shadows even more, and though he is often more open than the real Yutaka, he is generally as silent. It is not easy for him to trust others, but he is a loyal companion to those he respects among his peers.

Skills:
Shadow Rush - Lloyd cloaks himself in shadows, fading from sight before rushing in to deliver a critical blow. If he is struck during the preparation or while invisible, the skill is negated entirely.

Blurring Strike - Lloyd attacks in a way meant to off-balance his opponent rather than injure them. For about thirty seconds afterwards he is slightly faster and his movements are blurred, making him more difficult to hit.

Equipment:
Simple Falcata - This sword is fairly basic, but effective for Lloyd's fighting style. While the majority of its stats are average for a short blade, it lends additional attack power to sword skills. It also has a very minor bleed effect, causing those struck to lose a small amount of HP over time.

Leather Shield - A small reinforced round shield. Lloyd uses it when pressed in melee combat to make up for his overall weak defense. While it is light enough for him to use and carry easily, it still provides enough of a boost for him to hold the line for a moment when he has to.

Rogue's Armor - This lightweight leather armor is relatively simple, but does come with a slight boost to agility and resistances. It offers fairly low physical defense, but is better than nothing and allows Lloyd to be stealthier than anything heavier would.

Short Bio:
Sebastian Floyd. If you said the name in his school, everybody would know who you were talking about. Sebastian is probably the most popular student at his school. Compared to some of the other guys, he was great looking with his flowing blonde hair and smooth skin. He got decent grades and was the star of the soccer team. He was the best shooter the school has had in years. For Sebastian, life was perfect, and he had no worries about anything at all.

Sebastian didn't hang out with many popular kids though. His friends were all kind of the students who didn't have many friends and didn't really fit in.
There was Nick. Nick generally disliked people but he was fond of Sebastian... maybe a little too fond. Alex, who was probably Sebastian's best friend, had Verbal Dysdecorum. This basically meant he couldn't censor what he said. Whatever came to his head just kinda, popped out.

And then there was Dylan. Dylan was an avid gamer and was very excited for the release of SAO. As a birthday present, Dylan got Sebastion a NerveGear... Sebastion didn't play video games. He was into sports. Soccer, kickboxing, frisbee, he enjoyed them all but sitting inside wasn't extreme enough - even with a helmet on. Dylan was looking forward to playing SAO with him though, so Sebastion couldn't say no. However, once in the world, he couldn't get out. It was terrifying, and he searched for Dylan, only to find his friend, dead. Killed by someone who didn't believe that you would truly die. As a reminder to survive, for Dylan, he took his miaodao.

Personality:
Sebastian Floyd is caring. He is kind, funny, just an average kid. He doesn't want to be popular, he just happens to be good looking. He doesn't play soccer to be noticed as athletic and cool. He plays it because he enjoys playing the game. He wants to be left alone most of the time because he doesn't really like talking too much. He'd rather express himself through movement. However, if somebody needs help, Sebastian wouldn't sit by idly, no matter how much he feels like being alone.

Mightous gains a much greater focus, enabling him to see further and notice important details.

Blinding Dash
Mightous can dash forward about 5 meters in any direction at an insane speed, making him look slightly blurry. However, it drains energy from him and while dashing, he can't attack or defend. This means if somebody anticipates his dash, they could attack him without him being able to defend.

When Dylan died, Sebastian took his sword. It was forged and engraved by Dylan. It may not be the best, but it'll keep Sebastian fighting to survive.

Mystic Tunic of Orochi
A tunic named after an eight-headed serpent. Made of quality fabrics and cost quite a lot. The blue on his tunic seems to shine in the moonlight.

Short Bio: Seth had always been the quiet shy kid in his class. He wanted to be involved in activities, but never felt like he had a real opportunity. He was too shy, and everyone knew it. When advertisements for SAO began appearing, Seth determined he would participate. It would give him a chance to be someone new, and to reinvent himself the way he wanted to be. He made himself taller, changed his hair, and determined he would be the life of the party and the center of attention. He spent so long on his character design, that he had only just entered the game when he was teleported to the town of beginnings.

After the announcement, he wandered off, determined to find a drop interesting enough to make himself popular. He eventually found his way to a village plagued with aquatic invaders. He stayed there for a long while, believing that if he repelled the aquatic monsters long enough, there was bound to be a good drop. His persistence paid off, and eventually he encountered a rare miniboss responsible for the raids. Having spent so long fighting the invaders, and learning their attack patterns, Seth was able to beat the miniboss and gained the rare drop he was looking for. It was a rare bow. He immediately commissioned matching armor using scales dropped from the weaker enemies. Thus equipped, he set out to find a guild and gain some friends, fortune and fame. Just because the fight was real, didn't mean he wanted to be his normal self in SAO. He was still going to make himself into the ideal he had joined for.

Personality: Seth is inherently shy and quiet, but he makes a conscious effort as Kyzin to be outgoing. he tries to be the life of the party, and is unduly concerned with fashion. So much so, that he will often unequip his armor whenever he is in town to show off his stylish clothes. He is constantly torn between his ideal self in Kyzin, and his natural tendencies as Seth. The bow is nice, since it allows him to maintain his distance in combat and be a little more shy. So he redoubles his efforts out of battle to be the most popular guy around.

Skills:

Aim: Allows him to increase his accuracy at the cost of his rate of fire. While aiming, he can target specific points of an enemy to inflict debuffs based on where he hits and how much damage is dealt. This ability can be used in conjuction with other abilities, like pierce.

Pierce: Fires a powerful arrow that can pierce through and damage multiple targets. Especially good for clearing waves of weaker enemies.

Equipment:

Lizard Lord's Longbow: This bow has the ability to do increased damage with distance from the target. The further away, the greater the damage, although its harder to hit with.

Sahuagin Scale Armor:

This armor matches his bow, and also allow for a high degree of movement, even going so far as to aid in underwater movement. Its other stats are passable, but not particularly impressive.
