Second question regarding Doom Guy. Does Doom Guy have to kill them himself for the power-up to drop or can anyone kill them and cause it to drop?

<Snipped quote by Saint Girralo>

Updated the ability. Now anyone who dies within fifty feet of him (barring some exceptions, such as important NPC/characters/plot related fluff) has a small chance to have their soul trapped as a power up. So, that goes for enemies and goodies. Whoever dies in that radius might become a power up, to be used by anyone who touches it.

It's as beautiful as it is chaotic.

Now what happens if someone resurrects said dead things? Does Doomguy get a second chance at killing stuff for powerups? lol And what about summons like exploding zombies?

I'm fine with whatever though. lol

Well that all comes down to whether what dies has a soul. So a zombie might well be a tortured soul, or it might just be a shell - a machine with no pilot what so ever. If the exploding zombies were tortured souls, then yeah if they blew up (fifty feet isnt a big distance, them blowing up might be them blowing him up in the process!), then there'd be a chance they'd be trapped.

If someone resurrected a souless corpse, then it wouldn't have a soul.

It's not like every enemy that falls over is going to drop an invulnerability sphere. It's rare - it's something to happen on occasion and to be used sensibly.

That didn't answer my question, Does Doom Guy need to MAKE THE KILL for the power-up to have a chance of showing up or can ANYONE MAKE THE KILL?

*Rubs sinuses*

It's anything that dies within fifty feet of him. It doesn't matter who kills what. It's about who dies and how close they are to Doomguy.

Wait, let me change tac.

NO. IT CAN BE ANYONE. SO LONG AS SOMEONE KILLS SOMEONE ELSE WITHIN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO DOOMGUY THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THE PERSON WHO JUST DIED MIGHT TURN INTO A POWER UP. THIS POWER UP CAN THEN BE ACTIVATED BY ANYONE WHO TOUCHES IT.

Really, guys, it's a small little gimmick - try not to get so focused on it :)

So what if someone had a heart attack? JK Jk

I was trying to make sure I understood, it didn't necessarily read that anyone could cause it to trigger, just that anyone in that area was at risk of becoming a power-up.

I have no idea what's going on with this discussion. But it sounds interesting ... does the character that dies affect what kind of power up is dropped?

@Mtntopview Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool, they just keep coming.

Here's what the char sheet says:

"Aura of Doom - All living and non-living sentient entities that have a soul risk a 5% chance of being turned into a power up on death when standing within 50 feet of Doomguy. The type of power up is determined at random, but can be used by anyone who so much as touches them. A list, can be found here."

Have I really left things that ambiguous? lol

Sooooo. Who knows about 40k Space Marines? And how wrong would it be for me to bring them from an AU where the Horus Heresy never happened for those who do know about them.

And I don't just mean the Adeptus Astartes, I'm talking the Entire Imperial Military, including the Imperial Guard, Imperial Navy, the Adeptus Mechanicus, The Legio Titanicus, the Adeptus Costodes and the Emporer of Man himself and more.

That's what I'd bring if I brought them in, and a United Imperial force, is a terrifying prospect.

I would rather live under Sauron than Empy, on ideological grounds alone.

Ik a guy from the mother RP... thewizardguy, and he basically owned the God-Emperor himself. Nerfed him down substationally, but he was still tremendously OP. I say that you can bring small legions of at most 300 - 400 men, but please don't bring the God-Emperor. I also have very little knowledge of the 40k universe but from what IK, its insanely OP.

Please, I wouldn't bring an apocalypse tier entity in except to fight another apocalypse tier entity, if I did decide to bring them in. Running a legion of Astartes though with appropriate support, I'd put that on the field all day.

I can consider it in the end, like the final battle, but for now, lets put that to the side shall we?

You'd rather live under one of the generals of pretty much literal Satan than live under a rightful and intelligent ruler who spreads prosperity throughout the entire galaxy?

I have no idea what religion you're from, but I haven't yet met one that mandates masochism.
