“Sure, here…” Clarice said and quickly pulled her phone calling Arthur’s number the moment she returned with the orders of the men.” Now you also have my number~ So he’s your boss eh? I suppose he does need someone around… now that his voice had turned into vocal orchestra. I like flute sounds by the way, can you bring those on purpose?” She asked Arthur with a teasing smile.

“Well… I will see you two later after my shift end then.” She basically decided she will meet them before she is even proposed to.” For now I will return to my duties.” She added and turned around to go to meet other customers that were entering the place, but before she made even a few steps she stopped, turning back to Arthur and Alex.” You two… try to keep a low profile. Cause you don’t want to end on a dissecting table… The government loves it’s ‘research’ divisions and I’m quite sure there is one not too far from here~” She said with a whistle before returning back to her duties.

After Arthur and Alex left, Clarice passed by their table to clean it up and take the payment for their order. Then she chose a good moment to pull both Garett and Claire to the side where she can talk with them.” Alright… both of you, did this happen to you also yesterday?” She asked meaning the transformation.” This is dangerous… Keep it as secret as possible… Believe me when I tell you that you don’t want to end up on the government’s radar when it comes to this…”

"I'd doubt they would work this fast, but considering these powers I can't be sure..." She mumbled to herself then turned back to her cowerkers." Did someone approach you in regard to these powers?"

Alex

Dissection table huh? While the thought was worrying he doubted it would actually happen. "We'll be careful, don't worry about us. See you then.". Alex followed Arthur around, initially perplexed by the odd path they were taking, until he realized his musical friend was searching for meeps. They increased exp right? He wondered how that transferred in real life. Probably not at all. Alex examined the shop, it was pretty much a pawn shop really. Alex breezed through the text and shrugged, "This should be good, I'll get cool with the place." He first roamed the aisles, making sure he knew everything was vaguely. Simply enough. Then he went behind the counter and checked everything out there. Cash register was about the same, the button was easy to reach, probably easy to press as well, though he didn't. After a bit of of getting familiar with the store, Alex kicked back and took out his phone, tapping at it every now and again as he waited for someone to come in.

Artemis

Aretmis made a mental note of the pizza shop's location. She'd have to visit later. The pizza was a little hot, but too good for her to care. "Hm, any attempts to strong arm people seem like they would be similar to pulling a gun. Sure you got power and can make them do what you want, but the police are still going to come after you. I don't know about anyone else but I don't like the thought of testing my new skills against gunfire. As for champions from noxus or the shadow isles..." Aretmeis's voice trailed off as she considered it. Ice girl, flame girl, ice shield guy. "No one that I can think of. Though if you want help with housing I can assist pretty easily. Anything else?" Aretmis asked perkily as she took another chomp of pizza. Just the right amount of stringiness on the cheese.

It wasn’t exactly an easy situation that they were in now, seeing as Aelia seemed unable to get herself out of the Ahri form with ease. Erick looked over at Alexander as he strolled up to the scene, and at first Alex gave a dismissive shrug to say ‘well what do you want me to do about?’ but after Erick flicked his head at the other man. Alex sighed and turned around, walking off to his room, yet again. This time, though, it took even less time and he soon emerged with a huge jacket, which he brought over to Aelia and tossed to her. “Here, put this on, okay? It might not cover everything, but since it’s big on Alex and me, it’ll be massive on you. It has a hood you can pull up over the ears, and just hide the tails underneath it. I don’t even know where we’re going, really. I hate stuff like this. Not knowing stuff really messes with me, because I like to be able to understand what I'm walking into.” The man shook his head and gestured to Alex and then the door, prompting Alex to nod.

Hey, no worries, Aelia. I think you look kinda cute with the ears, and the tails.” He teased, grinning stupidly as Erick shoved his shoulder. Chuckling now, Alexander headed toward the door. “I got the address, I’ll even drive. I’ll go start the car, don’t take too long in here, got it?” He said, opening the door and walking out to his car, still giggling to himself. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing, but it seemed like his life had suddenly gotten much, much… fuzzier. He was going to have either replace his entire couch, or spend fifty-eight hours vacuuming it. Erick always managed to get him in these stupid situations.

Back in the house, Erick looked down at Aelia and gave her another reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, okay? I’m gonna make sure everything’s alright for you, I promise. And a promise is a promise, I won’t let you down. We’re gonna go meet with these dudes and deal with this, then you can come back here with us, or stay with them. Wherever you think you’ll be safer, with your powers, or whatever. I’ll write my number down for you, okay?” As he spoke, he walked over to her and held out a hand to help her to her feet. “We really shouldn’t take too long in here, though, we’ve already kind of delayed too much.

Arthur scribbled away on paperwork left by his parents, deeds to finalize giving him the store once and for all, another was a written agreement for Alex over employment and standard benefits; sick days, hourly wage, etc. It also covered that he would be a supervisor in the event that more staff was brought in. A solid idea to Arthur who was not fond of working and knew that the store could afford two to three employees without crippling his own earnings in the process severely.
Arthur stood from his desk and walked through the store to the front counter, got a signature from Alex and thanked him (with flute noises) before sighing as he remembered that speech was impossible. He waved his hand and let the newest employee do as he pleased, satisfied that their mutual bond over the weird happenings also meant that Alex would not rob him either. The day passed rather quickly as Alex manned the till and mentioned to regulars about Arthurs 'condition' explaining that a bad cold had stolen his voice for a time and had hired a friend to look after business, leaving it at that. Sales were about average with the usual drink and snack sales being the most common. One man bought a kayak from the back room. A dozen pairs of quality hiking boots were sold too, along with some mild winter coating while they were on sale. Arthur had taken the till while Alex restocked the shelves from the back room, and marveled at the efficiency the man displayed. Zooming across the store before making another trip to the back for more.
-----------------------------

The day ended on a low note as the last customer of the day left the store without a purchase. Arthur sighed and walked to the window and flipped the store sign to closed before locking the door. A quick text was sent to Alex,
(Great work today. You're a natural.) Arthur gave a thumbs up before rattling off another text, nervously, to the amazonian woman who had served them breakfast that morning.
@Rivaan (Text reads: Hi, it's Arthur from the dinner this morning. You said you wanted to meet up, and I just closed shop.) Below that was the address and vague directions to the store.
Another text went to Alex. (Everything good on your end? Still need a place to sleep? Might be a bit sudden but.. I could use a roommate if you're looking for a new place)

Sam Cross

It made her a little creeped out when the big boss man, Matt (she refused to give the idea of calling him after his champion name), started staring at her and moving his lips under his own breath. It was like she was being put under a microscope with the outward appearance almost reminding her of a person reciting some sort of silent incantation. It made her so uncomfortable that she decided to defuse it by engrossing all of her attention to her pizza.

Matt then went on to talk about said pizza and its humble origins. Sam thought it was a bit silly that they were wasting time on this topic of the pizza. It was just small talk to break the cold villainous tone that she still sensed in the air. If there was one thing she didn't like, it was small talk, but she decided to tolerate it for Artemis' sake. Perhaps it made her feel more comfortable.

Finally, the man came back to the meat of the matter and explained that the names were only to hide their identities. It seemed like a reasonable enough excuse, except for the fact that when he introduced them he used both their first name and their champion name. Also, even if both of those four letter names turned out to be deceptive as well, it would be very easy to figure out what their names really were. All you had to do was ask the innocent, elderly apartment owner from downstairs about what their real names were. Of course, then if those also turned out to be fake, that would mean that even before all of this powers mess they had been faking their identity, and that would bring about some dangerous suspicions. Why would they need to hide their names before any of this? Maybe... because they were villains!? It all seemed rather fishy to her, but she decided to let it go. She wasn't going to get anywhere on this notion. Besides, Sam wasn't the most pure, law abiding citizen either and that didn't make her a villain. She just wish they would stop acting so stiff, like talking to business men, and she couldn't deal with all of the formalities.

Then they finally got to some important points as they monologued. 1. Don't use your powers to hurt innocent people. 2. They were offering them all a place to stay. 3. They were inquiring about champions from Noxious or the Shadow Isles. "Well, you don't have to worry about me hurting any innocents, I just kinda thought that went without saying anyway." She brought a pizza piece to her mouth and took a bite as Artemis made a good point and the woman nodded in agreement to what was being said. They might have acquired some new abilities, but they were still living in the same world; a world with police, SWAT, and military. Still, Sam could imagine that many could just go under the radar and commit small crimes or just be really sneaky about it. No one in their right mind would start out strong arming the populous by creating collateral damage. Once Artemis was done, Sam made her next point. "As far as living with two men, one of which I know is an ass, I think I'll have to decline. I have my own space and that's how I like it." Besides, deep inside Sam was just very uncomfortable with very intimate social situation, communal living being one of them. She would loose her privacy and her quiet place to a venture introduced by two people she had yet to trust. In regards to the third point Artemis said no, and Sam replied, "Ditto."

Sam, like an impatient and eager child, went to her next point. "Now, I know this is a totally different subject, but I came here to learn more about what my champion might be and what I can do. Can we just skip to that part?" She said as she finished her last piece of pizza and wiped the flour and greasy residue on fingers onto the furniture she was lounging on and sat her plate onto a little table on the side.

Claire

After what seemed like a few moments, but in reality was 15 minutes, Claire sighed to herself before arising from her brief nap. Stretching and yawning deeply, she blinked a few times before wiping her watery eyes. She felt a little more energetic and with a splash of water from the sink onto her face, Claire exited the lounge, only to be intercepted by Clarice who dragged Garrett along with her as well.

” Alright… both of you, did this happen to you also yesterday?” Clarice questioned her and Garrett.

Claire nodded. "Yeah...A lot happened yesterday...I wound up at the cafe on the morning that I discovered that I was...Anivia, I witnessed a killing as well as saw others who were in the same predicament as us and the cops came along to interview the witnesses, only for the killing though and not for our powers which we hid. Some escaped the scene before they entered the cafe and this guy handed me and everyone else there a card, at least those who showed some sort of power or ability. The meeting taking place later on is the address on the card and I intend to go there later as well with the others from the cafe." She looked at Clarice.

"Clarice, there's a lot more of us...and we're all going to attend this meeting." She said. "I think there might be more information to uncover there. At least I can meet everyone else who have the same issue as I do and I already know a few who will be there. That's where I'm headed as soon as we're off today...which is actually pretty soon I believe." She flourished the card and shook it as she spoke.

Liam&Matt

"Nothing we can think of at the moment, but we hope to keep in touch should we have need of you; or you of us," Liam spoke up, his gaze locked onto Artemis with a pleasant smile as he addressed her. All the while, Matt could be seen eyeing over Sam. As she spoke up, Liam looked to his dark haired companion who now seemed lost in thought.

"You project heat around yourself. That narrows the list down to three that I can think of. But the fact that the heat seems to rise with your temper-" At this point the thoughtful gaze shifted to Sam, as his curiosity was obvious, "Have you ever tried striking something since you've obtained these powers? More specifically when your anger is mounting?" Matt stood shortly after his question, pushing up his chair before slipping his hands into the pockets of his jacket. For a moment he just stood in silence, seeming to be taking longer breathes then normal. All of the sudden, his visage would begin to flicker and wane, it seeming like his body was warping in place into a distorted view. Then, he wasn't there. A gentle breeze gusting about the room for a brief moment as the man's form faded from view.

"It seems," A familiar voice called out from behind the group, as Matt could be seen opening the refrigerator door in the kitchen across the way, "the more you reflect the character's mentality, the more in tune you become with their powers. My knack for analyzing and thinking things through made it easy for me to discover I was Ekko. Nasus found his a little later when we were dicussing what to do. His big brother instincts kicked in, and the staff appeared."

Liam sighed heavily, though he stuck his hand out to the side as if signaled. Sure enough, a strong source of seemingly tangible power seemed to gathering within his palm, flickers of green and gold light's sparking off his skin. In a moment, a spiral of lights would branch out from his hand, the next, he was holding the familiar staff of the league champion, "When I saw the staff, I couldn't believe it. Who would? But sure enough, it seems LoL is bleeding into our world. Matt wanted to stay out of all it-"

"Still do." Matt spoke out as Liam cut him an obviously annoyed glance.

"But we came to agreement that if things went south, it'd be bad for everyone involved. Can't really stay neutral on a battlefield? Though I certainly hope it doesn't come to that." As his statement came to a close, the staff vanished, seeming to collapse in upon itself before fading from sight.

"So," those who looked could see Matt now standing beside the island that stood between the kitchen and the middle of the studio apartment, "Get riled up and punch something. Let's see if my theory is true."

Aelia Stark

At least Erick and Alex were somewhat comforting to her. At the brunette man's command, the blond left their presence and quickly returned with a large coat. The woman blinked at it, realizing that her ally was correct. This would be a way that she could hide her tails and ears. Aelia took the coat, pulling it on and yanking the hood over her head to hide her ears. If no one really expected her to look different under the coat, she was just a regular, stressed-out woman that was probably worrying over her exams.

Alex spoke up again, deeming her cute. A light blush formed over her cheeks as she laughed nervously. "Thanks," she said, watching as the man left them, once again, to head to the car. Aelia prayed that those weird men would tell her something about their powers. Maybe someone had experimented on them and they didn't know?

A sigh left her before she perked up at Erick's words. He was a good enough person to trust. If he had wanted to hurt her, he would have done so, already. Even then, his words made her frantic heartbeat slow down, and brought great relief over her. At least there were different plans for different decisions, and she wouldn't have to worry much longer. "I'm glad for all you've done for me," Aelia murmured, taking his hand and, as she forced herself off the couch, leaning forward to peck his cheek without so much as realizing what she was doing. "We better get to Alex," she continued, walking past him towards the door. "He must be growing impatient."

@Universorum

Garrett Fisher

He didn't know what the fuck was going on.

First one of his coworkers had apparently been in armor, and then he was questioned whether or not he had powers. Garrett stared at Clarice and Claire incredulously, his amber eyes growing wide with disbelief. So... he wasn't the only person with powers around here? The pale-haired woman that stood in front of him stated that she had been Anivia, and that there was a killing. At that, he flinched visibly.

"You both must be insane," he forced himself to laugh a bitter laugh, shaking his head. "There's no such things as those powers. You must all be playing too much League, trying to climb up divisions to no avail!"

It was a lie. In reality, Garrett's mind was racing. So that smart-mouthed guy from before wasn't just spouting nonsense. His eyes quickly darted to his hands. If people had powers like the champions they played the most, then this was going much more difficult than he thought.

"Don't go around thinking you're superheroes," Garrett said coldly, glaring at the two women as he crossed his arms. "There's monsters on the streets."

Vicki Victory

This...This was the feeling that Vicki lived for. The coursing adrenaline in her blood, the elastic spring of the canvas, the weight and heft of her gloves, the rush of imminent competition. This was how the modern warrior did battle: boxing. The stench of sweat and musk filled her nostrils, but all Vicki could focus on was sizing up her opponent.

Stepping through the ropes was a lithe Black American, his muscles rippling beneath a charcoal tank-top. The young man began to bounce from one foot to the other, his red and white jersey shorts whipping from the motion, and shook his arms and shoulders to loosen up. The swagger and confidence from the new guy was palpable. This was Vicki’s first time seeing him, not to mention her first time sparring against him, but she was sure she could take him out.

The trainers placed the face protectors on Vicki and her opponent Don, red on Vicki, blue on Don, and the two stepped forward. Vicki lead with her right foot, elbows glued to her chest, her fists guarding her face. Don slowly advanced, forcing Vicki to back up. He threw a few swipes, testing how Vicki would respond. She easily dodged each hit by bending her back backwards, then shifted her weight onto her left foot, getting in a low jab to Don’s right set of ribs with her left arm. He recoiled in pain, visibly wincing.

“Nice shot,” Don commented, backing off.

Vicki smirked at the newbie, “Yup.”

A few strands of Vicki’s snow-white bangs fell in front of her eyes. Deciding to fight through the obstruction, she stepped forward, striking at Don’s forearms guarding his chest, trying to goad him into counterattacking. The inexperienced young man took the bait, sending a wild haymaker at Vicki, opening up his left side. Vicki sidestepped to the right, punching at his head. The hit connected, the force echoing up through Vicki’s arm. Unfortunately, Don didn’t reel back in pain like Vicki expected. Instead, Don rolled with the hit, his right arm primed for a swift uppercut, and hooked it straight into Vicki’s gut.

He got her good. Vicki shuffled back, her body bent forward in agony. As she was trying to hold back vomit, Vicki could hear Don laughing. She got cocky, and now he was getting cocky.

Vicki gave out a small giggle,”Yeah...yeah, that was good. Nice hit.” She threw her head back, grinning wide, with one eye still winced from the pain. Her open eye seemed to sparkle with something...scary.

Vicki put her gloves up and began to approach, her gait full of menacing purpose. She began to strike multiple blows at Don’s guard again, pushing him back towards the ropes. He tried to punch at Vicki’s openings, but she simply sidestepped each attempt and began a flurry of jabs on his lower torso. Desperate to get in a hit, Don pulled back his right arm and shot it forward like a cannon. Vicki ducked underneath the massive attack, the powerful blow grazing some of her hairs on top, and released a savage uppercut to Don’s chin. Her fist connected like a rocket smashing into the moon. The young man was hanging on the ropes now, blood pouring from the corners of his lips. Don's arms moved instinctively to protect his injured jaw, leaving his chest wide open.

Vicki pulled her right arm back as far as she could, priming it like a slingshot. Focusing all of her weight and momentum into the balled fist, Vi swung forward at the center of Don’s chest. In mid-flight, Vicki could a sort of energy, a sort of power, fill her arm, as if water was being poured into a glass.

Her fist collided like a car slamming into a wall, a blast of wind seeming to emanate from the point of impact. As if in slow motion, Vicki saw Don shoot back away from her, breaking the ropes completely. The flailing boy flew across the room, barely missing gym goers, sending equipment flying in every direction. Don broke through a window on the far side of the gym facing the street.

Vicki’s eyes went wide, still leaning forward with her arm tensed, extended out. Every face in the gym turned to look at her, jaws dropped in confusion. From an office in the back corner, a large hulking figure entered the room. Vicki’s father.

“Vicki?”

Raze Colter

4 in the building. There’s at least 5 more out there.

Across the street from the apartment building, a lone figure stood atop a building, his face and dress exceedingly average in appearance. From his perch, Raze had a clear view of any one that would enter and exit the building. Only workers and employees of the building could use the back entrance at this time of day, so to find who he wanted, Raze would spot them if they went into the building.

------

The prior day was a strange one for Raze. Every morning before heading to his private practice, Raze stopped by a little cafe. He always felt uncomfortable going in, Raze was usually the oldest person in there by far. The awkward tension was worth trudging through though: Cafe WiHi sold the best coffee in Darkwell. Yesterday though...on his usual route, an injured man stumbled out of a nearby alley, startling Raze. He chased after the injured man and witnessed him fall through the front door of the cafe. Stopping across the street, Raze observed from a distance, concluding that running in after a dying man would look incriminating.

Watching through the cafe’s doors, he saw what most would consider as impossible: a glimpse of a shield with a ram carving, the icy wings of a cryophoenix, and the distortion of a man’s figure, all in one small, closed location. Any other person would have passed it off as just seeing things, or maybe even cosplayers, but it was too much of a coincidence that Raze began manifesting powers of his own that day.

------

Raze was awoken that morning by one of his clients requesting an emergency session. Grudgingly, Raze agreed to meet the client at his office. This man disgusted Raze at his core; he refused to acknowledge he was a terrible husband and father, and has been cheating with a teacher’s aid at the local university. This man was sickening, a manifestation of the plight of humanity. He deserved to be stamped out, obliterated from the face of the universe.

Raze kept fuming over this pitiful man, dreading the two hours he would have to spend listening to him make absolutely no progress. Standing in front of his mirror, Raze’s anger reached a climax: he raised his fist to strike the wall. Instead, a spear appeared in a flash of pale-green balefire, embedding itself into the wall. Awestruck, Raze looked into the mirror, further astonished by his reflection's new, gruesome visage: a burning skull wrapped in a sickly inferno stared back at Raze.

------

As soon as Raze saw the others in that cafe, he knew he wasn't alone. He had to join them and reveal that he was a kindred soul, displaying his new powers for them to see.

Before he could rush into the cafe, sirens began to approach. Wishing to avoid suspicion, Raze melted into the shadows of a nearby alley. The man with a distorted outline left the cafe, seeming to shift and teleport from one place to another like a flipbook, rather than running in one smooth motion.

Raze waited around to see what the others would do. From his hiding place, Raze spotted one man, a blonde in his mid- to late-twenties, handing out business cards before leaving the cafe. Obviously, he wanted the powered bunch to keep in contact. Once the blonde was far enough, Raze emerged and tailed him.

Raze followed him all the way to an apartment building, likely where the blonde man lived. Raze concluded that he could either wait to see if any one else from the cafe showed up here, or wait until the blonde left and Raze could continue tailing him. Buying snacks and a blanket from a nearby store, Raze began his long vigil atop a building.

He didn't even go home that night. Raze fell asleep for a short time, but was quickly awoken by a scuffle down on the street. Raze peered over the ledge, seeing a man assaulting a woman, trying to steal her purse.

Raze stared for a few seconds, pondering what to do. Here was another fine specimen of human filth that deserved to be punished, and Raze finally had the power to act on this judgement.

------

Raze heard the shattering of glass from down the street. Was that the gym? It might have been the local hiking equipment store, it was hard to say. Regardless, Raze didn’t have time to investigate; he could see some other people from the cafe walking towards the apartment building, likely here to meet with the other powered people. All he would need to do is take the same elevator as them, or walk the same staircase, and he could find where the others were.

Taking one final glimpse over the edge, Raze stared at a green dumpster in the alleyway. Hopefully no one looks in there any time soon. Hidden from sight, Raze had stored in the dumpster the corpse of the mugger, ravaged by an otherworldly spear.

As he stared into the boy's eyes, disturbing visions alternating between the Shadow Isles and Darkwell kept flashing between Leon's eyes. One moment, he glanced at the silver haired lad, and another moment, he stared down at the Chain Warden with the decaying leaves falling all around them. However, the most disturbing fact would be the sight of his own arms: that of the gravedigger. It seemed as though they were meeting under the myriad of dead trees within the Isles. But, a meeting for what? Instantly, Leon shook his head, and focused back on Travis. Poor lad, he must be so confused now. "I will train you in everything I know. I cannot assure you that the whispers will stop, but I promise you that they will be suppressed. I can still hear the whispers now, but I can shut them out with pure will." He turned away, towards the Orchid Road once more. "Come."

Leon discovered this training method accidentally as he was escaping from his ghouls when his powers first surfaced. The poor boy stumbled across Orchid road, and instantly became lost in the ever waltzing flowers and leaves. The place had a sense of serenity to it, and it was here that Leon knew that the best way to counter the whispers was to divert his mind to a more relaxing space. However, with it, he also discovered a horrifying process. In order for him to counter the Shadow Isles' beckoning, he had to fully tune himself to the gravedigger's world. He had to experience the Shadow Isles through meditation; Leon certainly wasn't sure how these powers worked, but when he meditated, he was able to see a visage of the Shadow Isles. Whether the experience mimicked that of an astral projection or not, Leon knew that the best way to beat your enemy is to know them well first. And, Leon was able to do so. Through his meditation, the lad had discovered that Yorick's purpose in the League was to gather an army for the Shadow Isles. His purpose entailed gathering the children of the Isles, and turning them into an unstoppable army with a general in the centre of it all.

A great deal of mental will had to be practised if one wanted to suppress the whispers. For Leon, when the voices begin to speak, he immediately thinks about something joyful, or anything just to distract his mind until the whispers vanish. It's a band-aid solution, but it was the best one he had. And, this would be the one he would teach Travis.

"There's really no secret as to how I stop the murmurs." Leon sat beneath a large oak tree, his back resting against the ancient trunk. "When I hear them, I instantly think of anything else-- just anything until the voices go away. But, at first, it isn't easy. This is because there is a lingering fear within us-- a lingering fear of the unknown."

As the gentle breeze rustled the oak's mane, the lad looked up at the dancing rays of light that had pierced through the gaps between the myriad of leaves. "This was the place that I first 'meditated' into the Shadow Isles. This was the first time I realized what the whispers really meant, and how I understood that Yorick's mission is to raise an army for the King and Queen of the Isles. When I knew what they wanted of me, avoiding their whispers became easier because I now know what to avoid. That is why I avoided friends and connections-- I'm wary of fulfilling Yorick's mission if I ever have them. But, you're an exception. You're already from the Shadow Isles, so I guess this doesn't apply." A slight smirk grew on Leon's lips before he combed his fingers through his jet-black hair, sweeping away the leaves that had tangled in his locks. "If you're really the manifestation of the Chain Warden, then, you might also have this fear of the unknown. How do you avoid something that you do not even know yourself? That's why, your first training is to 'meditate' into the Isles. I'm not sure whether there's some connection or something, but this is the first time I'll be meditating there with someone else."

Leo straightened his posture before crossing his legs, and placing his hands on top of his lap with fingers splayed. "My theory is that this meditation thing might be like a virtual reality-- like, we project our consciousness into another plane of existence; in this case, the Shadow Isles is that plane. Well, no pain, no gain. It's a test to see whether we'll see each other on the other side. Remember, I would look similar to Yorick."

A deep breath entered Leon's nose before it all rushed out of his mouth. He began to breathe deeply as his entire body relaxed into the soothing and cooling atmosphere of the garden. "Breathe deep. Relax your body. Empty your mind of anything, and wait for the whispers to echo once more." Leon instructed, his eyes closed to the world. "Once the voices appear, sink into it. By this time, your body must be under sleep paralysis, and you can't move no matter what the voices tell you to do. Just listen, and melt into the voices' commands until everything fades, and you arrive into the Isles." Then, his eyes opened and took one last glance at Travis. "I'm going ahead." Leon nodded before the lavender orbs vanished into darkness once more.

Get to your task, gravedigger! Make our numbers endless!
Are you lonely, Yorick?
Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead!
Slay them, gravedigger! Make them serve us!
Unleash us, Yorick! Call our brothers from the bowels of the earth!
Slay, and be slain!
All their life has led to this moment, gravedigger!
Make them regret ever being born!
Escort them to our side, Yorick!
Their lives torment our brothers, gravedigger! Liberate them from the shackles of life!

A rushing sound filled Leon's ears as the putrid scent of the Isles greeted him once more. Leon's eyes opened as he saw that the same oak tree had been withered to a gnarled husk of life. The skies were eclipsed with the Shadow Isles' ominous harrowing mists that invaded Bilgewater once. The only source of light was the gravedigger's lantern which was attached to the end of the shovel on the ground. The earth glowed a deathly green as the bones of the fallen littered as far as eyes could fathom. The shovel had laid in front of him, and when he grasped the tool, a burst of power flowed through the lad. "I sure wish this works. Now, where could Travis be?"

Travis

Travis followed Leon down the blooming pathway. It was a beautiful sight to behold indeed, however, there was more pressing matters. Travis saw that no one was around so he took out his hook, fiddling with it as they walked along the path. Why? Why did this happen to him? Travis was grateful to Leon but yet he still cursed his own fate. If there were really others, could there be more like them? Tormented by the never ending howls of the abyss that is the Shadow Isles. Perhaps, the other human/champion hybrids hailed from Demacia, or the Freljord? Would they possess a similar personality to their champion. All unknown, all scary.

Travis looked in pure dread at the sound of having his mind projected into the Shadow Isles. Wouldn't that bring their souls closer to the destination they are trying to flee from? Souls... Travis's mind briefly wandered into madness again...

"Souls... they can make you stronger Travis. Kill the man in front of you. He is of no use to you. Merely a collecter of souls himself, except he leaves them to rot and left in desolation. Travis... we cultivate them. Reap the power of a soul to reach the pinnacle of strength. That's what makes you different Travis. You ARE better. You CAN kill him."

Travis snapped out of it again, right around the point Leo began to further explain the theory of the meditation. And what Travis should look for. Travis nodded, and before he sat down himself to slip into a possible realm of calmness and serenity, he looked at Leon. "Thank you... Leon. For, helping me out, and trusting me." He thanked, before sliding down a tree by Leon and attempted to "meditate."

What delightful agony we shall inflict
It's over when I say
Ah, the sweet tones of misery
Nobody escapes
Your soul shall be mine!
Me, mad? Haha. Quite likely...

Travis, or whoever he was, fell forward, landing on his hands and knees. The soil was... dead. He looked up, seeing a ghastly ocean. Travis stumbled backwards, turning around at the same time. Upon the floor was his hook and lantern, connected by one long chain. Travis picked them up and smirked. The first time he properly wielded the two. Travis looked around and whispered to himself. "Where is the Gravedigger?"

Sam Cross

The man named Matt began to theorize her abilities, narrowing the possible suspects to three. Even Sam knew the three he was talking about: Brand, Annie, and Shyvana. They all seemed very likely, with Brand and Shyvana (particularly the dragon) being her favorites, but the punk woman knew that if she ended up being Annie's avatar she might as well give up on the whole powers thing. There was no way in hell that she was going to embody that demon child of a champion and her humiliating little bear.

It was now Matt questioned on whether she had hit something recently. It took her off guard, but, quite frankly, she had been asked the question many times before in the past. Sam furrowed her eyebrows in confusion to this as she finished her last piece of pizza and shook her head no. Believe it or not, the woman with anger management issues had actually been a very good girl lately. She had a little scuffle with a handsy drunk bozo at work, but that was a few months ago, besides it had been a very good reason!

Matt's form blurred, and a gust of wind soared past her. To her surprise the man appeared behind her, now monologuing on about how he figured out his powers and how they related to personalities. She mostly didn't care, but what she did grasp from it was something very promising. If the part about the personalities was true, it was unlikely that she was imbued with Annie's abilities, after all, Sam was neither a little girl or exceedingly annoying.

At this time, it seemed as if Matt had given Liam a cue in his story and with a sigh the obedient dog followed the command, revealing Nasus' famous 'pimp' cane. It was super cool to see and left Sam breathless, but she wasn't going to give Liam the satisfaction of appearing amused, so she kept a cool expression on her face. The two went on about some unimportant personal banter until finally Matt addressed her a final time, requesting her to get angry and hit something. The woman scoffed, and asked challengingly. "Soo... you're asking me to go against everything my anger management counselor has been telling me sense I was fifteen?" It was true. 'No physical violence' was literally rule numero uno. As she let the question hang in the air, however, a devious smile began to break onto her face. "I'm game." She said as she tossed her plate to the side, the greasy thing flying to the floor, and swung her legs back onto the floor and rose up to her feet.

The woman began to look around for ideas. "Hmm... now how to make myself angry..." she murmured to herself. One silly idea came to mind and she snorted at the thought, "Well... don't get me started on Trump!" She snorted a few more laughs before taking it back with a, "Nah, just kidding. I have something better in mind..." Sam's gaze fell on Liam and she knew that she still wasn't through with what had happened earlier.

The woman strutted up to the big guy, not intimidated by the fact that she was very small in comparison to the blonde. "Yeah..." she said with a smile, "You'll do just fine." She shifted her weight from one hip to the other. "You see, I hate you. You just have this, 'I'm better than you' kinda vibe and that really ticks me off. Also, I could see it in your eyes earlier that you were holding your tongue while I ripped into you." As she said this, her face got closer and closer Liam's as if to challenge him to hold his ground. She said this next with a level just above a whisper dipped in venom. "So, how about we just get all of this shit out in the open, huh? Tell me how you really feel about me and I'll give a big load of what I hate about you, you mutt." With this last insult (of course regarding Nasus' being a glorified puppy) her words almost spat at him. Sam stood, looking up at the other, her glare unwavering and heat radiating off of her skin in the small and dangerous space the two occupied.

“I see… Well then I will tag along then.” Clarice stated with a sure nod.” I don’t really like this any… things such as our condition attract attention from unwanted elements of all kinds… “ She said, remembering her mercenary days now those were some fun memories. Though admittedly she met some monstrous people even back then.

“Claire, don’t be fast to trust any of those people… I have to warn you about that in advance. I’ve seen similar things before. There was a case where it turned out to be a recruitment gathering…” She explained, but mentioned not of who was recruiting.” Let’s just say you need to be careful about this.”

“First of all we aren’t thinking we are superheroes… at least I’m not.” Clarice stated, not phased by Garrett;s tough acting.” Also you are a bad liar… your eyes gave it away when you heard it. You also know something about this… probably a power of your own.” She added, eyes narrowing at the young man.” Anyway… I’m not thing I’m a superhero… that said, this power could prove useful for self protection.” She said as she willed an armored gauntlet to appear on her arm.

Then she took a look at her phone that received a message. It was from her amusing buddy Arthur, but she couldn’t leave Claire to go alone to that gathering. Even if she knew some of the people it was still dangerous for they didn’t know who may be waiting also to pick them up. People with these powers would make a fine addition to any combat organization… the military, secret agencies even terrorist cells or maybe something else…. too many possibilities.

‘Sorry… I need to accompany my coworker somewhere soon. It seems to be about people in our… situation. Message me back if you too will be attending that event. Otherwise I will msg you after that.’ She typed quickly and send it to Arthur.

“Anyhow… I suggest both of you to try to lay low somewhere away from your home for now. If it’s a place no one knows even better… so back to the topic at hand where is that gathering going to take place?” She asked as she forced her will upon her armored gauntlet which faded away." I wonder... if this armor will block bullets..." She vaguely mumbled.

Vicki Victory

Vicki turned to her father, her face matching her audible confusion,”Dad...I don’t know what happened.

The giant of a man strode through the gym, his very presence demanding attention. “Bill, call an ambulance and check on Don. Everything’s fine people, it’s boxing, people get hurt,” he yelled out.

Mr. Victory crawled up into the ring through the ropes, slowing his pace as he approached his daughter. Vicki was examining her fist, flexing it. Despite his immense size, Mr. Victory gently took hold of his daughter’s arm, caressing it to feel for any abnormalities. “Does it hurt anywhere?”

No dad, I’m fine. I don’t know how I did that though. Have you ever hit someone like that?

Mr. Victory looked straight into his daughter’s eyes, his own blue eyes searching for something. Slight wrinkles around his face gave away that he was starting to age. Buzzed blonde hair formed a thin layer on his scalp, and a thick mustache matching in color furrowed with concentration. He grunted, “No. Seems like you might wanna cut back on the weight lifting.” Vicki let out a small chuckle, appreciating the humor.

“C’mon, let’s go back to the office. See what happened.”

Vicki followed her mountainous father through the gym to the corner office, settling in a wooden chair with green cushions. One of the walls still had its brick foundations exposed, holding a cork board covered in papers and documents, as well as pictures from Mr. Victory’s younger years. A single desk lamp illuminated the office, casting harsh light onto Vicki and her father. The room stank with smoke from cheap cigars.

“Alrighty, scrappy. Explain to me what happened.

Vicki shot a sly grin at her father. He knew she still hated that nickname. “I dunno, I hit a guy, and he got hurt.

“Thank you, doctor, very good observation. How the hell did you hit him so hard?”

I don’t know, honestly. Adrenaline?

“I doubt it. I ain’t saying you’re not strong, but if I can’t hit a man that far, you shouldn’t be able to either. Maybe if you swung up at him hard enough, but I’m guessing went straight at ‘im, right?”

Vicki nodded,”I got pretty nice uppercut on him, you would’ve been proud. But the punch that sent him flying, yeah, that was a straight shot to the chest.

Mr. Victory sat back in his chair, the lamp hitting only his lap now. “Alright, listen...ambulance is gonna come and take Don away. Hopefully he doesn’t press charges, but if he does, police are gonna come and ask some questions. I’ll explain that he got injured in a bout in the ring. Not assault, an expected injury he was aware of receiving. Don’t worry about anything, alright?”

Vicki nodded, looking down at her fists.

“Go ahead and take off outta here, go cool off and get some grub. Sound good, scrappy?”

She turned back to her father, “Sounds good to me.

As she got up to leave, Mr. Victory leaned forward in his seat, pointing a finger at Vicki, ”You don’t have to worry about the police, but we ain’t done with this, alright?”

Vicki rolled her eyes, still smiling, “I’m not a kid any more, dad. I’m not gonna run away or anything, don’t worry.

------

Figures.

Vicki decided to head to Cafe WiHi for some hot chocolate, but discovered that it had been closed down. Apparently it was the scene of some crime recently.

Steering away from the crime scene, Vicki settled on heading to the local diner. Most of their food was crap, but they had the best French toast she had ever eaten.

Passing through winding alleys and sidestreets, Vicki stumbled upon a little plaza with a large oak tree rooted in the middle of a large planter; the local landmark at Orchid Road. Leaves were falling all around the plaza, dancing in the wind. Definitely an Instagram-worthy moment.

At the base of the tree, two young men were sitting, either meditating or doing some kind of yoga. They looked to be either Seniors in high school, or just graduated.

Hipsters.

She continued past them, finally arriving at the diner. Vicki entered inside and sat down before a waitress could seat her, spreading her arms out across the back of her seat. The place was mostly empty anyway.

Seeing three workers, one a skinny blue-haired girl, one a tall, buxom woman, and the last a tall, skinny guy, Vicki waved them down, expecting at least one of them would see her.

”Hey dolls, could one of you come and help me out?” Vicki called out, her smile oozing with charm.

Alex

Alex shrugged at his boss's praise. It was pretty easy work honestly, easier than his cafe work. Alex made one more round of the store to make sure everything was in place. He stared at the knife and his hand reached out to it before phone rang. His hand retracted and pulled out his phone. Sure, my old apartment is pretty crummy, I'd need to move my stuff though. Alex looked at the knife again. No, stealing was no way to repay Arthur. I'll get my stuff while we wait for your girlfriend to get here or w.e He phone went back to his pocket and Alex yawned before strapping on his rollerblades and making his way home, his few possessions fit in a single suitcase, so it couldn't take much longer than 15 minutes to get there and back again.

Artemis

Artemis took a few steps back nibbling on a pizza crust. This didn't seem like a very good idea. The room was kind of heating up and it seemed Sam wasn't even started yet. Didn't fire champions tend to have... you know a total lack of restraint and control? Worse scenario the whole building burned down and everyone inside died. Best case scenario, they found out her champion and there was no damage. Hm. Those two didn't seem quite equal. Artemis backed away a little faster until she was at the door. You know, just in case.

As he trudged along the plains of despair, Leon knew that their physical bodies were left unguarded back at the Orchid Road. Hopefully, whoever finds them meditating would just shrug it off as two boys relaxing, and go on their merry way. But, there were more important things to consider, and that was to find out whether the experiment was a success. Slowly, Leon weaved through the mazes of gnarled trees in search of the Warden. His lamp illuminated the tendrils of shadows, revealing monstrous creatures that merely ignored him. Decaying hounds and festering avians were common sights alongside the bones of the ones unlucky enough to have stumbled into the Isles. This entire world was left in a lot of doubt, and even Leon did not know the full capacity of existing in this realm. If they died here, would they be able to return? If they died back in Darkwell, will this be their final resting ground? A plethora of questions whose answers only led to more questions.

Leon figured that their powers were limited in the Isles as compared to earth because he could only summon one ghoul at a time. This may be a fruit of his own lack of strength, but it was all Leon knew for now. Now, the lad sunk into the heart of the thick decaying forest of the Shadow Isles. There were signs of death and pestilence wherever Leon looked, and shadows could be traced as far as his eyes could see. What if he was just chasing ghosts? What if Travis never reached the Isles? Would Leon need to scour this entire mental realm to find him?

However, before his mind could ask more questions, he heard the dragging of chains behind him. Instantly, Leon spun around, shovel stretched, and pose rigid. Lo and behold, Thresh stood before him. However, the warden appeared blurry and translucent; the flaming head shimmered softly with an emerald hue. Then, Thresh spun around as he began walking towards another direction-- into the darker side of the woods.

"Should... I follow him?" Leon debated internally as he continued to watch the warden's fading visage. With the shadows closing in, Leon decided to bet blind as he rushed after Thresh, and continued to trail the warden's spectre. As they pierced through the abyss of the woods, the monstrosities Leon saw back in the lighter side could not even compare to the horrors he saw now: titanic, eight-headed arachnids with human faces sewed on its skin crawled slowly past them; titanic millipedes and serpents slithered all around them. These were just three of the army of nightmares that Leon had witnessed for he had closed his eyes as he saw more and more fiends. Soon, the lad could now hear the soft waves of an ocean. When he looked up, Thresh had vanished, but he felt a strange tug towards a certain direction. Leon scoured the sands in search of his comrade, and after a good few hours, he finally saw the visage of the familiar lad.

"Travis!" Leon called out as he reached him. Travis had now held the warden's scythe and lantern; and this sight gave Leon an eerie feeling down his spine. "My theory worked. Our bodies are back in Darkwell, but our consciousness is here in the Isles." the lad turned to face the ghostly ocean which flashed, ominous green lights periodically. Heck, gigantic sea monsters made an appearance from afar. "Well, welcome to the Isles. I found my purpose here when I journeyed all around the place. My spawn location is always beneath the giant oak tree on the other side of that forest. I'd guess that this beach will be where you will appear whenever you meditate into the Isles."

A soft, gentle breeze wafted around the two manifestations as Leon hoisted his shovel over his shoulder. "It's time for you to understand the whispers; you must understand Thresh's purpose in the Isles. I found Yorick's purpose when I wandered around here. Until you find your purpose, we will keep roaming. Time is not constant here and in Darkwell. I roamed for almost a three days back then, but when I awakened, only about eight hours passed. So, take all the time you need." Leon smiled at Travis, gesturing to the shadowy landscape of darkness and death behind them. "Explore our home, and I will follow."

Garrett Fisher

He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Did Clarice just call him a liar? His dark brow furrowed as his gaze became angered, his lips curling into a scowl. It was way too early to be arguing about this. Garrett scoffed, glaring down at the gauntlet that had appeared on the female's hand. They were being rather... showy about their powers. It would certainly be bad if the police got involved, and they were taken in to be tested on or used as some sort of military weapon. Without a word, he turned away, noticing that another customer had stepped into the diner. "Think whatever you want," he grumbled to Clarice. "Don't come crying to me if something happens to you."

As he walked away from the two females, he grabbed a menu and approached the new arrival. "Welcome to Darkwell City Diner," Garrett's voice was practically seething as he addressed her, setting down the menu in front of Vicki. "What will you have to drink? We have several types of seasonal drinks here, today, including the pink grapefuit cooler and the watermelon lemonade."

He swore he must have said that fifteen times that week. Yet, if he didn't, Garrett knew that his boss would get angry.

Still lounging on the couch, Vicki simply turned her head to look into her waiter’s eyes. She didn’t even bother looking through the menu, knowing that she was here just for a cup of hot chocolate. She tilted her head slightly to the side and raised one of her eyebrows. “Yeesh, bad day, huh? I’ll keep it easy for ya then: one hot chocolate will do it for me.
Vicki lifted up the menu he just slapped onto the table and handed it back to the waiter. She caught a glance of his nametag: Garrett. Garrett looked to be about Vicki’s own age. He may have been in a bad mood just in that instance, but Vicki surmised that may be his natural disposition. Perma-bad mood guy, huh?
Vicki flashed one of her world-famous smirks. “So…Garrett. Listen, this place is pretty barren right now, why don’t you take a seat here, huh? From one bad-day haver to another,” she offered, motioning with her chin.

Raze Colter

Raze was starting to get anxious and irritable. He ran out of food a few hours prior, and the hunger combined with terrible sleep were starting to eat at his disposition. Since the two women from the cafe had entered, Raze hadn’t spotted any one that he recognized enter the building. Going in after them would be useless, he had no idea which apartment they were all meeting at.
So what if you find where everyone is? What happens then, we all get together and form the Power Pack?
In his exhilaration and desperation to meet others with the same plight as he, Raze completely neglected to think that far ahead. Now that he had quieted the post-murder blues, Raze was able to think a bit more clearly. Looking back now, most of the people in the cafe looked exceptionally young, as if they were just barely out of high school or college. What was he supposed to do, parent them? The whole wisened-mentor thing probably wouldn’t work out either, Raze couldn’t even help his patients cope with their own lives. After years of schooling and a paper declaring “Hey, I’m certified to help you,” and even with powers, Raze still felt useless.
At that thought, Raze looked back down over the ledge, back at the dumpster hiding the ex-criminal’s corpse. No...I’m not useless. Not any more. This was the first time Raze had ever seriously considered killing someone, let alone actually acted on it. It certainly wouldn’t be the last time though.

The woman had a rather... interesting personality. His amber-colored eyes watched her carefully, loosening his grip on the pen and notepad that he had grabbed from his pocket. So... all she wanted was a hot chocolate, and she was inviting him over to sit with her? Garrett quirked a brow, wondering what she wanted to talk about through the haze in his mind. It sure seemed like she was having a bad day, as well, and so she didn't seem annoying. That, and a break sounded like a good idea.

"I'll be back with the hot chocolate," he told Vicki bluntly, turning away in a swift movement. Garrett walked away from her, entering the kitchen. It only took a few minutes for him to return, bearing another cup of coffee and a mug of chocolate. Coffee was what kept him sane, during the day... that, and it did away with his terrible hangover. He placed the mug in front of Vicki, taking a seat across from her as he rested his chin in his hand, stirring the coffee slowly. His brow furrowed as he pointed a finger to the stand at the end of the table. "Sugar's over there if 'snot sweet enough for ya."

“Heh… that’s an advice you should be listening yourself.” Clarice replied with a shrug of her shoulders as the young man walked away towards the charming customer that called for them a moment ago. From their place, Clarice returned a smile to the woman who called them out. What seemed more interesting was that when Garrett went to take the order and returned with it, he sat by the woman.

The tall now warrior woman couldn’t help but smile widely and with great amusement as she watched the scene of the dark grumpy Garrett suddenly taking interest in a woman? Well that was new… and certainly a thing that she was going to poke him about to no end, but indeed Claire was right. It was about time their shifts ended so it might be good idea to go check that place where her icy coworker was going to go.

“Alright Claire, let’s go change and leave the rest to the next shift. They should be arriving any moment now."She stated as she began walking towards the locker room. Once inside she quickly turned to Claire."So… you have wings? Have you tried flying with them?” She asked with a smile, truly curious about it. Her armor didn't allow for such things, but that said she found herself a lot stronger. So she didn't doubt it would allow her to at least move a lot faster than before.
