No, Armin is not a Veela – not a full one at least, thank you very much. His extended family shames people who dare mix and match 'true wizarding blood'. It is almost immediately obvious: Armin's platinum blonde hair and pale, flawless skin are rather prominent features – but on closer inspection, the imperfections arise. A nose slightly asymmetrical, lips slightly too full (though not to a great detriment, that much is sure) and the uncomfortable presence of a permanent scowl all detract somewhat from the appearance of 'ethereal beauty' one might expect of such a creature. His chiseled jawline and bright, mischievous blue eyes leave Armin handsome, and quite a catch if one is willing to look past the strange colouring and the unnatural allure that surrounds him.
He would have dimples if he smiled more often.
In build he is fairly tall at 5'11", though nothing spectacular. He is lean but with broad shoulders and well-defined forearms – the latter notable because he always has his sleeves rolled up. Often scrapes and scratches are visible on them as if by branches and thorns, though few would ever suspect him going out into the the gardens at night to pick flowers and write poetry and gaze at the stars. Armin doesn't make eye contact, or does so only with close friends; however, it seems difficult to attribute it to shyness. His posture is proud and straight, and his head is always held high.
N A M EArmin Aurelius Frost
N I C K N A M E"Frost" – Pretty self-explanatory. Armin doesn't mind going by his surname, which is that of a long line of (dark) witches and wizards. It is more notorious on the continent than it is in America for their former ties to Grindelwald many years ago.

However, there is more to them than just an impression, they have parts of their past that are a bit dark, and that has caused them to grow a bit cynical. They don’t like to show their feelings to others, as they like to maintain the impression for themselves and for others that they are unbreakable. P E R S O N A L I T YMisanthropic. Armin hates a great many people, including everyone who treats him differently because of his allure. It is the curse of the Veela to never know whether one's friends are true or not, and it certainly applies to Armin – such questions keep him up at night and have him staring at the stars, wishing to change his lot in life. He's not particularly happy, as evidenced by his few smiles, though people close to him – those he's tried and tested to ensure it's authentic – might see them a bit more regularly. Armin doesn't react well to new people because he's never sure how they'll react to him. He's resistant to change in general, in fact, and fears many things: betrayal, backstabbing, the loss of his friends and the whole debacle with creature rights.
He's a human being too – he just wants everyone to recognise that.
That being said, Armin isn't exactly an activist. Or active. He's singularly lazy and loves napping, and sometimes even just getting other people to nap beside him. An introvert though he may be (because social interaction is tiresome for Veela when people are affected by his allure), he sure doesn't shy away from touch. Hugs. Ruffling hair. He's probably just a bit too invested, with a tendency to be overprotective and get angry on others' behalf, but never his own.
H I S T O R YVeela. Armin is from two long, controversial and completely separate lineages. On his mother's side, dark witches and wizards who supported everyone from Grindelwald to Voldemort, with extended family members in Britain who supported the Muggle-Born Registration Commission. His father's on the other hand are Veela, just as focused on purity as the Frosts. Thus a mixed breed child like Armin was not well-received by either side. His mother, branded with the Dark Mark with a list of heinous atrocities to her name, managed to flee her crimes to the continent while pregnant where Alphonse Moreau helped to hide her.
When Armin was four, someone tipped the authorities off about his mother. He suspects that it was his father, somewhat worried about what his son was being taught – that it was okay to hate and hurt the weak, really, and that Dark Magic was good and pure and that he should use it when he was older. This prompted a long, drawn out invasion of their manor to remove dark artefacts, the first of which would be Vanessa Frost. In the fray, Armin was nearly hit by a Killing Curse from her wand.
He hasn't quite forgiven her for it yet, though it's doubtful she herself has either. Ever since he worked out that he'd nearly died that night, Armin likes to think it's something that can echo off the walls of Nurmengard and haunt her forever.
Following his wife's arrest (and pleading no knowledge of her crimes), Alphonse Frost opted to return to his home country: the United States of America, in particular, Louisiana. It would help to raise his son around family and friends who were Veela, some of whom would know the quirks of half-breeds too. Despite Armin's blood status, his various grandparents and great-grandparents grudgingly allowed the pair to live in the family mansion. Given that as a child Armin's accidental magic was muted, too subtle to be noticed by anyone around him, it was widely thought that he was some sort of Squib caused from the mixing of wizard and Veela blood.
But, no, it turned out he was perfectly normal when it came to being a wizard. After receiving his acceptance letter at eleven, then a wand of his own, his grandmother was still not willing to pay for his education in Beauxbatons and it was instead decided he would go to Salem Witches' Institute. In his seventh year now, he is mostly known for being a bad student in subjects he has no interest in (which is most of them), for being found in odd places napping off a long night doing nothing in the gardens or for his achievements in the duelling club. As it turned out, much to Armin's despair, he has a talent for Defense Against the Dark Arts... and an interest on the other side of the coin.
F A M I L YVanessa Frost, 48 – A dark witch. Armin's annual visit to her in Nurmengard is a thing he dreads, because she is exactly how he remembers her to be: wild-eyed, sallow-skinned and with a certain mane of black, untameable hair. He looks nothing like her, but fears becoming her. She is so, so proud of her son, especially since he supposedly "takes after her in all but appearance, and thank Merlin for that!" When news of Armin's wand reached her, back when he was eleven years old, she sent him a damp letter filled with scribbled congratulations and racial slurs against Mudbloods: her wand was aspen, 12" and had a core of dragon heartstring too.
Alphonse Frost (formerly Moreau), 40 – Armin's father; a full-blooded Veela who is one of the first in his generation to marry a 'normal' witch, as in one who has no creature blood running through her veins. Originally hailing from Louisiana, then Germany (to marry), and now having returned to New Orleans, he speaks English, German and a French-based Creole as many American Veela do. He's a good father, if a little air-headed and easily pushed around. He comments on neither Armin's curiosity of the Dark Arts nor his failing grades and is more than happy to brag to others about his son's duelling accomplishments.
Anna Moreau, 28 – Aunt through Armin's father's side; a full-blooded Veela who used to babysit Armin when he was younger just as Armin does now for the woman's daughter, Alina, during the summers.
Astra Moreau, 62 – Grandmother on Armin's father's side; a full-blooded Veela matriarch who still appears as youthful as she was in her thirties. Horrible temper and tends to get snippy with Armin due to his impure blood, which is ironic: the rest of the Wizarding World views him as little more than a creature due to his Veela blood, not his magical blood. Astra vastly prefers Alina, her other grandchild, and it shows.
Agnes Moreau, 80 – Great-grandmother on Armin's father's side; a full-blooded Veela who is both a war veteran and a former teacher at Beauxbatons. She is much kinder, much more mellow than her daughter and heir to the Moreau family name. Rumour has it that she hasn't transformed into her avian form for several decades. Agnes has two 'sets' of children: the first with her Veela husband and then, when he died, a human man who she fell in love again with. The latter did not take the Moreau family name and thus Armin has had no contact with them.
Alice Moreau, 96 – Great-great-grandmother on Armin's father's side; yet another full-blooded Veela and a secretive, isolated woman overall. With only one daughter, Agnes, who she has since fallen out with (though lives in the same manor as), it's easy to see that she has distanced herself from everyone save her own mother, Annette. Interestingly, she doesn't care one whit about blood purity, which puts her at odds with... literally everyone else in her family.
Annette Moreau, 120 – Ancient great-great-great-grandmother on Armin's father's side; the oldest living full-blooded Veela in the family. Annette is a former (or current, since she never really stopped) Grindelwald supporter and speaks exclusively in French. She dislikes Armin and refuses to talk to him, though was not entirely disapproving of Vanessa Frost as a match for Alphonse, since she was a dark wizard. Housebound.
Alina Moreau, 11 – Armin's cousin, full-blooded Veela. She does not attend Salem and instead goes to Beauxbatons on the recommendation of all her various grandmothers, who seem to have formed a league of evil. Armin buys her extravagant birthday gifts, and she does consider him her "favourite". She appears to have some talent in divination, though like her uncle Alphonse, is a little air-headed.
F A M I L I A R
Moonshine – an unfriendly (to most people) black cat with a lame front paw. Armin usually keeps her away from people, just in case she gets squished again, as the first run in with a car in the muggle world resulted in a bent tail and a few scrapes that can still be seen through her dark fur. With a broken face but a generally regal, queenly appearance, she can be seen catching mice in the dormitory or fish in the lakes outside.

Ophélie is still growing. However her current height is five foot five. Chances are she'll reach five foot seven or eight before she stops. She has pale skin covered in freckles. Sometimes she likes them and leaves them uncovered. Other times she hates them and applies cover up so they're less noticeable. Her body type is slim, something she inherited from her mother. She only weighs 120 pounds. Because of this she's pretty much a plank. She has no curves whatsoever to speak of. She doesn't even have to wear a bra because she's so flat.
Ophélie has red hair. Depending on the light it can either appear darker or lighter. Though in the summer it is a lot lighter than in the winter time, mainly because of the proportionate amount of time spent outdoors. Her red hair hits her upper back, about midway/bottom on her shoulder blades. When she tilts her head back she can feel it hit her lower back. She typically wears her hair down. On occasion she'll braid it or even let her friends mess with her hair. She will never do anything fancy with it. Unless her mother makes her.
Ophélie doesn't have the typical blue eyes associated with red heads. Instead her eyes are black. Her father calls them pools of obsidian. Of course he's usually talking about her mother's eyes...
Due to her pale complexion she cannot wear certain colors in her wardrobe. Earth tones are the best colors on her. Reds, yellows, pinks, etc. doesn't do her any favors. On a typical day Ophélie usually wears jeans, ballet flats and a loose fitting shirt. Her idea of dressing up means swapping out her jeans for a skirt. (Usually floral print)
Ophélie doesn't have any scars or piercings. She doesn't like earrings, because she tends to forget she's wearing them and then somehow yank them out. Which hurts. So she doesn't bother.
Ophélie has so much swagger all the boys are jelly. When she walks into a room, it's like she owns it. She doesn't shy away from anyone and always makes eye contact. She also smiles a lot. When she does smile her mouth tends to lift further on the left side than the rights, making it a little lopsided. There is also a small dimple on her chin that appears when she smiles.

"Philly" by nearly everyone. This is Ophélie's most common nickname. And her default one when someone tries, but fails to pronounce her name. Consequently, this is her favorite. Most of the time she actually prefers this name.

P E R S O N A L I T YOphélie is a very nice person, if you're nice to her. She loves to be around people and will generally try to make friends with everyone. However if you brush her off, or are rude, she'll make no effort to include you. In her opinion the ball's in your court. She put in her effort, you need to put in yours if you want to be friends. She's a firm believer of meeting people halfway.
That said Ophélie might make friends with anyone, but she doesn't conciser them close friends unless they meet certain criteria. Because her best friends are basically family. And family is very important to Ophélie. Family might make you angry, frustrated, or worse. But they're always worth it in the end. They're the people you come back to over and over. And on the flip side, even if she vexes them, makes them pull out their hair or turn grey prematurely. They're there for her too.
Ophélie cares a lot. And she doesn't care who knows it. She's fiercely loyal to her family and close friends. If you mess with them, you mess with her. And Ophélie doesn't forgive easily. It's not that she nurses grudges and will get revenge later. She wont, because she's a very upfront and frank person. She wont wait to call you out. Rather, she doesn't forgive until she's sure you're honest about it. Casual "sorry"s don't cut it in her book.
Ophélie is also very confident, self aware and some might even say narcissistic. She knows what she's capable of and she's not shy about it. So much so that some people have given her a nickname that rhymes with witch and is far less flattering. She doesn't compromise on her morals or standards, not even for her friends or families.
Still, there are times when Ophélie would like nothing more than to kick back and take the load off. Mostly she's "on" with a fierce drive to learn and to succeed. It's not often she'll let herself rest and just enjoy a day. But when she does she turns into a very easy going person and will often just lay on the grass and contemplate the mysteries of the universe.
H I S T O R YOphélie was born to Lea and Christopher Moore. Her mother was Lea Lemaire, a french woman. She was born and raised in southern France. She graduated from Beauxbatons when she was eighteen and traveled to the United States. There she meet Chris, her future husband. They didn't marry at first, but when she discovered she was pregnant (she was only 19) Lea panicked. Her father was a very unforgiving man and would rain down the wrath of Hell upon her if she had a child out of wedlock.
Instead of letting Lea get an abortion like she wanted, Chris instead proposed. The two had five more children over the course of twenty years. Her last child was born when she was thirty two. Ophélie was the second to last child born. The six children are grouped in two sets. The first set is the older Moore children. They are all out of the house and pursuing their own lives. They are also all in their twenties. They are close friends to each other. The second set are the younger children. Ophélie, Babs and Steve. They are still going to school at Salem. They are also close friends.
There is a very start difference between the Moore family and the Lemaires. The later is a pure blood family with all the traditions and trappings that come with it. The Moores are a very diverse family. They've mixed their blood with muggles and other non-pure bloods. They are very casual about the whole wizarding thing. This dichotomy created more than a little strain in Ophélie's household. Her mother Lea wanted to raise her children like she had been raised. Her father Chris wanted the same.
In the end they ended up somewhere in between. Every two years the Moores would travel to France and live with the Lemaires in their ancestral home. The rest of the time they lived in the midwest of America. As a young child Ophélie was introduced to the idea that she'd live in two worlds. All the Moores never neglected the muggle life. They never separated themselves from the muggle world or the wizarding world. Because of this Ophélie was expected not only to graduate from Salem, but also from the muggle equivalent.
Because of this Ophélie is friends with a lot of muggle kids her age. They all think it's weird that the Moores all sent their children to a private school. But in the way of the West, it was live and let live. The fact that Ophélie had summer school just made the other kids glad they weren't her.
F A M I L YThe Moore family doesn't really have any reputation in the Wizarding world. They're your common family. The working class that you forget about. But that suits them just fine. They don't need fame nor fortune.
The Lemaire family on the other hand is a Pure Blood French Wizarding family. In Fance they are very well respected. Generations of the Lmaire family have gone to Beauxbatons. The Lemaires have produced their fair share of dark wizards. But they don't talk about it.

If there was a real-life Disney princess, it would definitely be Alice.
Have you seen the way her hair never flies into her face, unlike the rest of us mortals? Seriously, even if the wind is blowing at 500 miles per hour, her long hair is like Pocahontas, singing "Colors of the Wind." She prides herself on her dark, wavy hair and spends a moderate amount of time styling (and flattening out the occasional cowlick) her hair. She usually lets her long hair hang down freely--she doesn't do fancy hairstyles very often. They're reserved for special occasions.
The Disney Princess that she's most often compared to is Snow White, due to the sharp contrast of her dark hair and her pale skin. Alice has a very delicate complexion and is one of the people who is unable to tan; she only burns. She spends a lot of time outside, tending to her gardens but she always makes sure that she applies ample amounts of sunscreen.
Her gentle hazel eyes are complemented by a thick set of eyebrows. Her eyebrows are on fleek, but she used to be quite self-conscious about them, and they were often the subject of bullying at school when she was younger. She has grown to appreciate them a little bit more in recent years. Despite wanting to thin them out, her mother encouraged her to embrace them because they were different--and that's what made her beautiful. She's stuck with them, and she finds that she likes them a lot better now... But it's still a tender subject for her. Don't point them out, please.
Alice's standard style of clothing is rather feminine. She holds great pride in her sense of fashion and enjoys coordinating outfits the night before. She owns a variety of casual dresses, skirts, pants, and tops in all different colors. Layering is her favorite fashion technique, and she owns a lot of cardigans and tank tops and such for this purpose. Oh, she's also perfected the art of walking and running in heels.

Sometimes it'll be a deranged murderer, other times a vicious wild animal, or a werewolf. Anything that she can think of can take a boggart's shape.

They are kind to most, though they tend to have a difficult time reaching out and expressing themselves. They have a shy aspect of them that is not only social, but inner, which makes them hesitant to do many things. That said, they are very patient and calm creatures, which allow them to be workable with this nature.

P E R S O N A L I T YA gentle smile, a floral fragrance and dainty footsteps. Those are three things that always alert people to Alice's presence. Alice is just as lovely as she looks with a sweet disposition, kind words and an overall air of innocence surrounding her. She's one of the kindest individuals you'll ever meet; she's so empathetic and is the type of person to cry when another person does. There's a certain whimsical nature to her in the way that she finds childlike amusement and wonder in most things.
Alice is rather shy and timid, unable to truly come out of her shell until she really gets to know someone. Even then, she tends to tone down on conversation topics that excite her so she doesn't ramble on and bore someone. She often interrupts her talking with an "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm probably boring you" because she's not exactly confident in what she does.
Her innocence and doe-eyed stare is one of her charms, but it's also a double-edged sword. She's rather gullible and trusts extremely easily without question. Alice takes most things at face value and doesn't quite know how to question motives or even consider that not everyone is a kind soul with good intentions. Her blatant trustfulness is an obvious flaw that some people have taken advantage of in the past; but it you rephrase it kindly, she opens her arms and is willing to accept everyone and anyone.
H I S T O R YIsn't it exciting when you learn that something you've dreamed of all of those years is real? Alice was absolutely ecstatic at the mere possibility that magic might be real when she received her letter from school. Having grown up in a muggle family with a dull muggle life, Alice always felt that she didn't quite belong. She was a tad too peculiar and different to completely fit in with her muggle peers. Alice had always been a steadfast believer in magic, fairy tales and Santa Claus.
Getting a letter from Salem was proof to her that at least something special existed. And then she realized that the letter implied that she was capable of creating such magic. And to her, that was the best thing imaginable. She honestly thought that it was a dream or a prank of some sort, until she stepped through the halls of Salem.
F A M I L YAlice comes from a very unassuming muggle family, unlike many of her peers and classmates at the Salem Witches' Institute. She has absolutely no magical lineage to boast about, or any notable deeds that her ancestors have done.
Christine Malone - Mother Christine Malone is a graphic designer who works from home. Despite having an overall strict demeanor, she's still kind and accepting of anything that her daughter wants to do. Now that her daughter is away at school, it took her a little time to adjust to her absence but she seems to be managing. The Wizarding World's communication system is a bit strange for her, but she's been trying to get used to it. Christine often sends Alice care packages at school.
Kyle Malone - Father Kyle Malone is a family and divorce lawyer. Despite his serious demeanor during his job, he's pretty silly when he's at home or hanging out with his friends. He dotes upon and spoils his wife and daughter. Kyle is probably the one who took Alice's transition into a witch the hardest--not because he was against it, but because it meant that his little girl was going places that he couldn't even begin to comprehend. He still sulks about it sometimes, but has come to terms with it long ago.
F A M I L I A R
Mocha is Alice's companion. She often is found sleeping on her lap or munching away at some food. Mocha is a very friendly bunny, but much like her owner, she's very skittish around people she doesn't quite know. If someone Mocha doesn't know tries to pick her up, she will panic and flee. If you want to bond with Mocha, you have to start small.

“If he loved with all the powers of his puny being, he couldn't love as much in eighty years as I could in a day.”
– Emily Brontë, Wuthering Heights
If there's anything that could be said of parentage and genes, it's the fact that both brothers, Aiden and Abel, gained their prominent cheekbones from their Hogwarts father and the rest just an amalgamation of both—though Brenden often proclaims that his genes took dominance, to which Hayden concedes with a swift eye roll. They're both still trying to find out exactly why Abel lacks that particular talent. Regardless, both boys stand at a relatively even height of 6'0", something their family shares, as Hayden stands at 6'1" and Brenden at 6'2" their children range from about 5'11" in Ainsley's meek gaite to a whopping 6'4" for Amelie's broad shouldered, athleticism.
Despite being supplied with chocolate on a weekly basis, both Phillips brothers maintain a healthy diet to supply their need for attention. Or muscles. Either one works. Both boast proudly in their confidence, letting their foot falls fall with heavy thuds with their broad chests and lean mid-section out on display. They may tend to shy on the 'full of themselves' side when it comes to their appearance, of which they share quite wholly. Honest to goodness, there's likely not much one can pick a part between either brother, as their mannerisms often don't belie their identities. That's on part due willingly to keeping every bit of themselves down pat, from their coy smirks, to the way they talk, to the way they walk. Both twins keep from straying from even the smallest detail and have subconsciously synced themselves in so far as to be able to sneeze on command when the other one does—often times it can be practically simultaneous.
From walking to talking and even to dressing like the other, Abel and Aiden don't fare much differently from each other in appearance and that's exactly how they like it. Both brothers can often be seen walking down parallel halls only to stop at an archway to mirror each other's movements. Unfortunately, their demeanor, when looked at relatively closely (or if you just know them extremely well enough) gives them away, as does their taste in foods and various spell work. Abel often finds it much easier to express himself in the defensive art of spells, whilst his brother tends to vary on aggression, ironically enough.
Also Abel can't roll his eyes. It's weird. He doesn't like to talk about it, but a good way to tell if you're talking to Abel or Aiden is to get the sarcastic flow going and eventually, the inclination to roll their eyes will reveal the true culprit. Also, Abel's the one who sets up the candy.

N I C K N A M EAbel's honestly short enough, so he does't really see a reason why anyone needs to shorten it further. However, his brother tends to call him Abe on occasion, though he tends to be the only one to do so. Phillips is used in a derogatory term for both he and his brother by people who don't particularly get along with either of them.

Yew WoodYew wands are among the rarer kinds, and their ideal matches are likewise unusual, and occasionally notorious. The wand of yew is reputed to endow its possessor with the power of life and death, which might, of course, be said of all wands; and yet yew retains a particularly dark and fearsome reputation in the spheres of duelling and all curses. However, it is untrue to say (as those unlearned in wandlore often do) that those who use yew wands are more likely to be attracted to the Dark Arts than another. The witch or wizard best suited to a yew wand might equally prove a fierce protector of others. Wands hewn from these most long-lived trees have been found in the possession of heroes quite as often as of villains. Where wizards have been buried with wands of yew, the wand generally sprouts into a tree guarding the dead owner’s grave. What is certain, in my experience, is that the yew wand never chooses either a mediocre or a timid owner.

P E R S O N A L I T Y"What I scream and what I think and what I do show different parts of me. But which is real and which is my subconscious telling me nothing's true?"
Roiling, red smoke, angry and billowing from the chimney of a quiet, foreign home. Screaming, yelling at the cold night air—an unwilling, unrelenting entity bottled up in a crackling fire lighting up the wood and worn rugs of home. Abel, much in the same way, entraps himself in calm demeanor and a life where happiness can't just fly off. Yet, riddled with lack of understanding, of himself and his feelings, leaves happiness a cloudy memory and a spit in the face. All to show him that what boils inside doesn't belong in the picture, and all the turmoil of emotions, of rage and sorrow, of bursting joy and bewilderment paints a mess out of order.
Both brothers suffer from growing up; realization dashes away dreams and childhood to leave room for realities. While one contains all he feels inside and takes a cork stopper to keep it from escaping, the other overfills with it, leaving all of it to tumble in his hands and spill from his mouth. Left with the consequences of his actions, Abel has no where else to run to but his own screaming fits into pillows and under blankets. People can't quite seem to look at him right, or well enough past the demeanor he holds until the next outburst ruins the fragile image he withholds.
Yet, like his fathers and siblings, Abel upholds himself beyond his turmoil and lack of understanding. Fierce and quick tongued, nothing stops the older twin from speaking up, loud and proud over the raucous. And while Aiden lingers in his own mind, Abel makes his mind known. Laced with venom or wand, nothing quite looks menacing than a hotheaded teenager ready to defend whoever they need to in an instant. Though, friends come lacking due to his inherent need to speak out with a bluntness deserving of a smithy, the ones that do bramble past the thorns earn Abel: passionate, loud, courageous, and stubborn as all hell set loose with no desire to back down for anyone.
H I S T O R YWhen you're born into a great family, greatness is--perhaps unfairly--expected of you as well.
Aiden and Abel Phillips grew up chasing after the backs of their family members. There was always a hand lovingly extended to them every time they tripped as they ran to catch up to their family's accomplishments, but the twins felt pair of judgmental eyes scrutinize every fall from the outside. People were waiting for the two boys to show a sudden spark of genius, to show extreme talent in something, somehow. Their loving parents shielded them as much as they could from the intrusive expectations of people who didn't matter... But some leaked through anyways.
Perhaps that's why the twins are so close, in a bond much stronger than one would expect. They're inseparable, their trust forged through years of standing up against unfair expectations thrust upon them. And thank goodness they had each other, they may have broken down and withered away otherwise. Aiden and Abel dealt with everything the best way they could; through humor, and small acts of revenge against people in the form of pranks. This was how their partners-in-crime mentality was built and solidified.
Their family life and childhood was pleasant, even if the majority of their family was away from home. Their older siblings moved out eventually to pursue their own dreams, while Brenden, their father had to leave for Hogwarts school in Scotland. For a long time, the only people at home were Hayden, their other father, their younger sister and themselves. Hayden was more than capable of distracting his children from the sore absence of their loved ones. That, and the frequent visits always let the twins know that they were loved, appreciated, and they never truly felt abandoned.
Before long, Aiden and Abel both got their acceptance letter from Salem. They moved into the school and quickly became accustomed to its lifestyle. Once they were away from the watchful eyes of their parents, Aiden and Abel both grew into their more mischievous side as they began to establish themselves as a notable presence in school. Many pranks were pulled, Abel began dabbling in his little (and slightly illegal) candy shop while Aiden committed himself to exploring every nook and cranny of the buildings. Much to their family's relief, Aiden and Abel were beginning to find who they were outside of each other.
Of course, while they're not joined at the hip anymore, they are still constantly by each other's side. They're still tossing playful jibes back and forth at each other and fighting among themselves, but the underlying trust is still there.
After six years of being trouble makers, making friends, making money off of stolen goods (in Abel's case, at least), learning and generally being an entertaining annoyance, the twins suddenly find themselves staring at their last year at this school.
So let's make it count, eh?
F A M I L YThe Phillips family isn't one with a particularly famous legacy or history to boast of, but it's entirely possible that this generation will carve its way into history. Starting with the parents of the family, everyone so far has made a name for themselves in one way or another. High expectations are on the mischievous twins of the family, Aiden and Abel Phillips to accomplish something great as well.
Despite a gay couple being parents, all of their children are biologically theirs. With the combined effort of muggle technology/science and magic, Hayden and Brendan Phillips managed to mix their DNA together and have a surrogate mother carry their kids.
Aiden Phillips - First and foremost his younger twin brother who attends Salem along with him.
Hayden Phillips - Father Hayden Phillips is a rising star in the Republic of Magic. He joined the ranks of the Republic of Magic straight out of school and climbed his way up the ladder until he finally reached his position as the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Hayden is gentle, loving, patient and kind, but he maintains quiet authority. He's the type of parent to try to let his children find their own way, but drops them subtle hints and directions as much as he can without being overbearing. Word is, he's terrifying when he's mad. Fortunately, none of the Phillips children have incurred his wrath, so they don't really know if it's true or not. It is however, difficult for them to imagine their kind father mad in any way, shape or form.
Brendan Phillips - Father Between their two fathers, Brendan is by far the more energetic and playful one. It's not too far off to say that he's the children's number one cheerleader, always encouraging them to do their best, even when they think they can't. Despite his overall silly demeanor, Brendan always has his eyes on his children--even if he is often absent from their lives. Brendan is the current professor of transfiguration at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He resides in Scotland for the school year but does his best to be present in his family's life. Frequent letters and gifts are exchanged between Brendan and the rest of his family (particularly his husband, Hayden. How they manage to remain apart from each other without dying will always remain a mystery) along with the occasional visits via portkey or floo powder.
Addison Phillips - Older brother The eldest Phillips child lives all the way on the other side of the world; Japan, where he owns one of the most successful magical candy shop in the country. He has an obvious sweet tooth and can consume sugary confections all day--he makes sure to work the calories off and eat healthily though, thankfully. Addison believes that he inherited Hayden's ambition and Brendan's energy and that made him a successful businessman. He often sends sneak previews of new candies and such to his family. They keep disappearing though, due to Abel sneaking them away and selling them to people at Salem. Aiden occasionally helps out when needed, but usually sits back and allows his brother to do his thing.
Amelie Phillips - Older sister Amelie Phillips is a girl of a sunny disposition, a blinding smile, and a slightly ditsy brain. Her strengths were not in academics, but athletics. Her natural talent at Quidditch was obvious, even as she attended the Salem Witch Academy. It was only natural for her to go on to playing the sport professionally. She's currently a chaser for the Fitchberg Finches, and they've maintained their winning streak in the United States League for years. Amelie's face occasionally shows up at the Salem Witch Academy to give seminars on Quidditch and occasionally coach the teams. Her beauty, vibrant energy and skill have gathered her many adoring fans and admirers. If asked about her, Aiden and Abel will both say "Eh, she's annoying," without bothering to hide the proud smile on their lips.
Ainsley Phillips - Younger sister Ainsley Phillips is a girl with a big heart, big hopes, and a fragile spirit. She's the most quiet and introverted person in the family. Her quirky mannerisms and loner tendencies can often be misinterpreted as aloofness or arrogance when that's not the way she means to express herself at all. Ainsley followed her older brothers, Aiden and Abel into Salem, a year after the twins enrolled. Unfortunately, she was picked on in school and even the best efforts of her twin brothers couldn't completely deter the bullies. In the interest of keeping their daughter safe mentally and physically (and to keep the twins from getting expelled. Aiden and Abel were ready to wage war on whoever bullied their baby sister), Ainsley transferred to Hogwarts and followed Brendan to Scotland. She's been sorted into the Hufflepuff house and is having a much better time. She often draws pictures for her family and sends them home.
F A M I L I A RAn oddly curious and often times ditzy little burrowing owl. Perthro has a tendency to roam the various halls and grounds of Salem being picky with her burrows. Abel often thinks she has a burrow specifically for whatever mood she might be in; she's a very independent owl and often treats Abel with exasperated kindness.

P E R S O N A L I T YElise is a friendly and protective person. This comes from finding out about her youngest cousin, Mary. She just wants to protect the young girl from more trouble in her life. Elise can be a friendly person, but a little off putting at times with her tarot readings. She does admit to having some issues with her tarot readings, since she isn’t someone who can see the future, and has admitted to making mistakes. She is a personable person, being in the Tituba house, and just wants to be friendly and loving. She does have this paranoia that she will be left alone for her life. She also loves charms and singing, and can be found in both clubs.
H I S T O R YElise was born of a union of two magic users, Annabelle Winthrop, and Charles Reed. Charles, the son of a British wizard from a long line of wizards, and a muggle mother, has always been on the side of muggle support. Annabelle came from the Winthrop family, a prestigious American wizarding family. Charles moved to America shortly after he finished Hogwarts, not wanting to be in England after seeing what was going on there. He met Annabelle at the Republic of Magic, and they married. Elise would never know her paternal grandparents as they were killed by Death Eaters in 1996.
From this union, Elise was born. However, since she was their only child, she was raised alone and home schooled, to keep the muggle children from knowing about her magic. This meant that Elise spent most of her childhood alone, and developed a crippling fear of being alone. After an accident involving a bike and a car, Elise shut herself more in her house. She took to a deck of cards that were given to her by her father that had belonged to her late grandfather, and practiced Tarot. This caused her to start being paranoid about death omens.
The same year that Elise got her letter for the Salem Witches Institute, it was found out that she had a younger cousin, Mary, through her Uncle Andrew. Elise’s mother and Andrew explained what had happened to Mary to Elise and she took it upon herself to care for the younger girl like a sister she never had. However, due to her starting school in the fall, Elise did not get to spend much time with Mary. Once she got to Salem Witches’ Institute, she quickly made friends, and enjoyed her classes. Once Mary also got her acceptance letter, Elise made sure that her young cousin had a place at school, and keeps an eye out on her.
