Actually, I think getting in a fistfight with Arata would just be the worst possible option.

@Ashifili I built this around the concept of opposites.

Arata is strong physically, likely stronger than any, so I am strong spiritually with power = to his mana at the time

I believe Runik's sheer destructive power could fit the tax. Lin, with the right materials at hand, could also go toe to toe with him, then there's Sorcha and Iravis, also Iatos' thunderbird(FFFFFUUCK why is her name not sticking to my mind)

That's from Roy, but yeah, don't think he's going to be outrunning Sorcha anytime soon, at least. God damn 'faster than lightning' peeps. XD

Pretty sure in the CS, Arata was noted as someone who wants to have a fair, hard-fought battle. Getting stronger just means that he'll be able to fight more people on an even footing. But sure, fair enough.

@Ashifili@Zelosse Your characters will be approximately equal overall. I don't think any character would be comfortable in a fistfight with Arata, besides some of the teachers. If Arata managed to trap Iravis at the end of a hallway, I'd hope the Phoenix would enjoy her next life time.

Arata just seems like a good tank/brawler to me.

It would be bad if anyone got trapped in the end of a passage with Arata closing in, but when backed in a corner people/animals can do amazing things, and combining that with fire based powers makes for some painful possibilities.

To quote a card from a game, which in turn is likely quoting or referencing something else. "Don't corner a barbarian, you become the path of least resistance."

EDIT: Not to say anyone in the game is a barbarian, in that case though you really shouldn't corner the Oni.
