Does she have a sense of honor, in addition there's still the issue with who owns the boat? As for motivation, I'm pretty she could hitch a ride until we can all come up with something. That batarian smuggle has many possibilities from stepping stone to minor villain that could unit our PCs, depending on what @Dervish and @Hellis stated so might not be as hard to adapt IC.
That is basically what I'm using right now: determining who has ownership of the Borealis and curiosity on what contracts Luzami had. The problem is that those are all short-term motivations. Since Luzami's dead, there's no one to pay her, and since she hasn't had a chance to do anything before he died, there's nothing that she feels she needs to be paid for. Her sense of honour largely revolves around contracts, and as far as she's concerned right now the contract is null and void. She could easily sell her share of the Borealis for a handful of credits and then leave the next time they make planetfall.

IT was mentioned beforehand and in the interest check that our dear captain would be dearly departed. The point was to have a crew of missfits that don't have that many other options but to take the job in the first place. Again however, player agency. Its all about that collaborative effort to build a world around our existing characters, their personalities and motivations. Don't worry though, we'll give you a purpose. Or a hundred.
ehehehehe
I knew that something was going to happen, but I must have missed the part where it was stated that Luzami was going to be dead from the get-go. At any rate, again, I'll definitely be sticking around to see what happens, I'm just trying to come up with reasons for why Tia would stick around.
Hazan requires turian brandy, single measure, on the rocks. It's his signature drink.
Hey, that's an idea. If you had to give your character a signature drink, what would it be?
Water. Tia prefers to keep a clear head at all times. Not to mention the fact that I think she would easily be an angry drunk.
