@Fallenreaper It sounds like Serena will have her hands full with Vellios and the death wishes.

Indeed... and in Omega, terrible things happen when you try to take most sellers at full face value. XD

Yes...like punches to the face. Alex is trusting--of potential comrades--everyone else is neutral or an enemy. Don't worry, she knows what she is looking for and how much it should cost.

Hazan should come along to make sure she doesn't snap someone's neck ^^;

Better yet, he can haggle and she can tell him what she needs while she looks intimidating.

EDIT: Also, we are sticking to Mass Effect 1 based armors for now, right? Is it possible to upgrade or start with Mass Effect 3/modded armor pieces? Not for stats or anything, but to give our characters some outward expressions of individuality.

Depends on the armour.

As in looks or if the company was known in ME1?

And not any special ones (Terminus, Collector, Iron--I mean Inferno, etc) But more like the Rosenkov armor set for a Solider since that line is known for carrying a ton of ammo. It would give NPCs to analyze and note: "Oh shit, is...is this guy wearing a ammo packs for armor?! What the hell?" Or C-Sec pulls him aside and insists that he empty some or most of his ammo packs, just flavor stuff.

I wish to have Alex get access to Serrice Council armors and bio-amps, but there is a screening process. I'd like to have that as something she goes through. It's not exactly "loyalty mission" worthy, but I'd like for it to be a Shadow Broker thing.

It's more the fact he doesn't consider the results of said actions or how dangerous they can be... XD

Sorry for double post, but power use. Will we be going by an in-game cooldown to post equivalency? Like, you have 3 seconds available to use each post, so you could use a Charge into a Nova in one post, but you cannot use two Flares in one post. Then on the next post, you have a three second cooldown, and it continues. (So if you use something with a 12 second cool down, you have to wait a total of four rounds before you can use another power. If you have something with a two second cooldown, you can use it in the next post. Or something with a one second cooldown, you can use it twice, then once on the next turn, alternating posts.).)

I think Dervish is trusting us to use our best judgement. I usually establish posts (my own) for cool down myself because it's easier than trying to determine each post is x amount seconds.

I personally like to portray biotics specifically more like in ME 1/the lore. That is to say, slightly longer cast time, much longer 'cooldown' and a much more significant effect.

I tend to portray tech more like in ME3, with quickish cooldowns and less extreme effects. That said, I never really spam powers in combat here, nor do I assign a really specific number of powers to any given post... I just go with what feels right and balanced.

Another thing to note is that typically enemies will have the same things we do, unlike in the game where the enemies all get a specialized and usually weaker set of abilities comparative to shep.

For biotics, I think it should kind of depend on what you're doing; the more of an impact you want to inflict on your opponents, the more energy it requires and the longer it takes to recover from. For example, using a biotic push to just knock someone off their feet would take less effort and you would recover faster than if you threw them across a room, and would have even more of an impact on you if you tried it on multiple people.

Indeed. The powers in the game are set to a specific level by the limit of it being a game... here we can see them being controlled more finely.

Oh yeah, that's all fine and dandy, although I'm not really worried about the stats of any particular item. Hell, you could in theory have pouches crafted onto any set of armour. It's just nice having a visual reference.

Fallen has it nailed down harder than after prom sex. I'm not putting arbitrary power cool downs or other game system gimmicks in the game, I trust you guys not to do shit like the ME3 Multiplayer Special of having an SMG with ultralight materials, all your points into Shockwave and power recharge and spend all 11 waves spamming the fuck out of that button. Basically, if you're a biotic, you need to rest and recharge between exertions and it's one thing I really appreciate about Alex is how there's an acknowledgement that biotics burn calories like crazy so they need to eat a lot to keep up their strength. Likewise for tech experts their omni-tools have to fabricate everything fron scratch and it takes time for its power to recharge. So while you can certainly use multiple powers per turn, try to keep things realistic (or at least grounded).

Remind me to quote this later for the FAQ section.

Also a great point; some powers aren't nearly as taxing as others, so someone doing push or pull a lot is going to be able to keep it up longer than someone doing novas and charges, for instance.

Well, seems Vellios did inherit something from his father... ability to lead. Damn it. XD I had to cut down the original post as I felt he was moving too fast and progressing the scene a bit much.

Add on: Also noted a segment which I thought I deleted and had to erase. XD Sorry for that.

And it's finally done. Sorry that it's a crappy, choppy read but that was some tedious shit to write.

Anyways! We're going to kick off soon, this is pretty much last minute preparation and a chance to meet the team you'll be working with/ making a battle plan. It also gives Hank a chance to have Mirage do something, what with the lack of transport and all.

When we're all contented and sorted out, I'll be moving us ahead to when we begin the actual action bits with the bang bangs and the wub wubs because as hilarious as it would be having an entire scene of everyone sitting awkwardly in the back of a fruit truck off to glorious battle, I'd like to keep things moving along.

Thanks for the patience in me getting this done, gang. Been a busy and tiring few days!
