Robin nodded to Jarvis and followed him up the stairs and to his room before putting the key in the door and unlocking it. As he did so he looked back at Jarvis who was asking him a question and he answered simply in response "Hmm..no that's alright, I won't be needing any accommodations or anything of the sort. It was quite nice of you to offer though, much appreciated." He gave Jarvis a quick smile and nod before opening the door to his room, walking inside, and promptly closing the door behind him.

Once inside he took off his robe and put it aside on the table in the room. He yawned loudly and sat down on his bed then proceeded to lay back and stare at the ceiling slowly falling asleep.

And so, there I was, minding my own business, watching the games in progress, and admiring the skill, and various magics being employed, when I was interrupted by a failed clown. Right away, I could sense that his magic was not ordinary, or maybe, not even magic. Beyond that, I couldn't tell anything else with all of the magical energy in the air. My eyes slide past him to his rather...big friend, and another girl with a bow in her hair. Both mages, I was positive.

”Good morning! Say, friend, I hope I'm not intruding. Far be it from me to stick my nose in other people's business, but you just seemed so...down. I hate to see someone else in a rut; it's my responsibility as a wizard to be considerate of others.””Is there any way I can help you, buddy?”

Oh boy. I love straight lines. No wiseass worth the name would ignore this one. Before I could think, my mouth went on auto-pilot. "You know, what?" I said, looking him in the eye. "You can help me. You can start by getting out of my face, and then continue to help me by leaving me alone, and after that, you can find the answer to all of life's mysteries, and not talk to me ever again until you do." I smiled too, but I was pretty sure mine looked like a grimace, or maybe a wolf baring its fangs.

Yeah, yeah, I'm got a smart mouth. Its just something I can't control. Its my reflex when I get surprised, scared, or encounter stupidity. I'll let you guess which one this is.

I was pretty sure the guy would leave, but something about him caught my interest, although I couldn't put my finger on it. Oh well, if someone can't stand my verbal abuse, they probably aren't worth my while.

As he lay there on his back, his senses slowly flooded back to him. He was washed away amongst pains he had never felt before. Were these… Burns? Must be. Karn would see the magic circle the Blood Mage had left on his wrist shatter. The mage wasn’t quite out however, and slowly pushed himself to his feet. His wounds were still closing, and his eyelids were low and heavy. He slowly bent over and picked up his first knife now, blood freely dripping from the only two wounds that weren’t healing, the ones on his trembling hands. For once his looks reflected what was inside the man. Penny might realize that her fire had done nothing to him, and it was Karn’s that almost put him out.

"..Teach me not to take every advantage I have..." He’d say softly, shoulders slouched. The mage would blink slowly before fully opening his eyes. They’d be unfocused, but one thing would be overly clear; the magic circle over the Iris and pupil of his right eye. It’d be brighter than ever now, and it’s obvious he was very displeased with the two of them. "You two should’ve played along. Would’ve made things a lot easier on all of us. We could’ve all been top scorers for the round." He’d blink again, and the circle would go away. He’d laugh weakly, a bloodied smile on his face as he stumbled towards the edge. He looked Penny dead in the eye before speaking again. "Next time we fight, I’m going to slit your throats." His suddenly cheerful disposition failed to disguise the threat in any meaningful way. After sliding his knife into his belt, he finally let himself black out, falling off the edge of the Arena towards the ground. The magic around the arena would catch him and deliver him safely to the ground.

Looking a little less than enthused Ariel took her attention away from the game. Her explanation was pretty vague. She was just hoping she could have avoided the long winded version. But the miffed expression didn't last long as usual."Well, I didn't talk to him like you may think. This is going to sound crazy. Last night I went to sleep when I had my Spirit magic. My soul left my body like a... ghost? I'm not sure what it would be called. I couldn't really do anything but float around until I went to where Karn's body was sleeping. Whatever state they're in it pulled me in too." Rubbing her forehead she tried to think about how to explain the next part.

"It was like we were all having a dream together. Both Karn's were there along with whatever they thought up. It was really strange. That was how I was able to communicate with Karn. He was hiding from us, from everything. He just wanted everything to end..." Hugging her arms her sentence trailed off as discussing the topic seemed to dredge up bad memories. It was clear that the encounter had left a strong impression on the girl. After a while she seemed to regain composure and continued. "But I was able to convince him not to give up, not yet. And promised I would be his friend no matter what. But that's just the start. I don't think I can do it on my own, I need everyone's help to bring Karn back fully."

All at once things started happening in the arena. Karn burst from the ground as a chimera. It only took a moment to identify which one was in charge, the frilly pink dress was a dead giveaway. Ariel looked confused as she was both excited and yet still feeling sad from earlier. Slowly though she began to transition her Lightning magic as sparks crackled from her body. Bursting from her seat she started to cheer. "Way to go Karn! Show them you won't give up so easily!"

"We could try, but this is a big city with lots of people, a girl with brown hair in a green cloak ain't exactly uncommon. Until you try talkin' to her Elizabeth don't stick out much." Until she gets upset, if that happened Cody would know as he could apparently detect her magic. Besides if Elizabeth did have an episode chances were they'd be able to tell from here. "We might try askin' someone workin' the cotton candy booth. They'd remember taking her order." Dawn always made sure that Elizabeth at least had a little money on her at all times, specifically for times such as these. He'd find her eventually but in the meantime she could get her own food. He'd figured out pretty quickly that not giving his sister money usually ended badly. She often would see a thing and take it, the fact that it cost something completely forgotten.

As they hurried down the street Dawn spotted a stall selling cotton candy and headed towards it. Working the candy machine was a middle aged man with a respectably sized mustache. As Dawn and Cody walked up the man turned to address them. "What'll it be gentleman? An edible souvenir of the Games? Or perhaps you have a special someone wanting a treat? Whatever the reason I'm hear to help, we have all the colors anyone could want, and a number that no one ever should. Take your pick."

Dawn smiled at the man a littler nervously. "Actually we're lookin' for a girl, might have come down this way, she's got brown hair, pale skin and wears a green cloak. If she stopped by here she might have written her order down on a notepad for you to read?" Dawn didn't have much hope that this man would know anything. Elizabeth was one girl in a sea of people to a man who did nothing but serve faces that never made an impression.

"Sorry, a girl like that might have been by here or one of the other stalls but honestly we get so many customers, especially during an event like this, that I couldn't tell you if she was here or not. Sorry boys. Dawn nodded and drifted away from the stall. Where could Elizabeth have gone. This was a big city and while Elizabeth might not be as fast as Dawn she knew how to slip through a crowd without disturbing anyone. She could be on the other side of the city by now.

"You said you could detect her if she used her magic again. How can you tell? Half the wizards in the world are here. This city's full of magic, so how can you tell if it's her? You barely even saw her."

Elizabeth continued wandering the streets. with so many sights to see it was difficult to know where to go next. Inevitably Elizabeth was drawn to the image that was being broadcasted throughout the city on Lacrimavision. The fight going on was intense and soon Elizabeth was gripped with the urge to see the place where it was being fought.

After finding the Colosseum Elizabeth took a seat in the stands eagerly watching the fight unfold. In front of her were four people having a serious conversation about something that Elizabeth wasn't particularly interested in. Partway through the match however a girl in the group stood up cheering and sparks danced over her skin. She was evidently a wizard who's electrical powers were tied to her emotions. Entranced by the moving light Elizabeth reached out with her hand and touched it. A violent shock ran through her body pushing her back into her seat. Suddenly feeling very annoyed Elizabeth stood back up and pushed the excited girl as hard as she could before sitting back down.

Though they were almost too small to notice small tendrils of ice started to form on the underside of Elizabeth's seat as she sat with her arms crossed over her chest watching the wizards in the arena duel.

"Magic isn't evil. Magic is simply a tool, only the caster can be evil." Jasmine responded a little more cheerfully than she should've. She had a rather naive way of viewing magic.
"I mean magic has so done so much good for the world in the right hands, and the opposite is true. However as long as good people exist bad people will as well." Jasmine mused as they entered the butchers shop.
Watching Nidhogg disappear now she fished around in her pocket for her coin purse. She pulled out 50 jewels and paid the man before taking a seat as she waited for Nidhogg to finish.

"....Suppose you're right." Cody mumbled in agreement. He knew it would be a long shot but shouldn't they exhaust all means at least?
He followed behind Dawn silently as he scanned their surroundings. There must be a clue somewhere? Surely? At this stage in time he forgot he should be looking for Jasmine and was focused solely on the task at hand; find Elizabeth.
Cody continued his train of deep thought as he waited for Dawn to finish talking with the cotton candy man. If he was someone who enjoyed magic and found themselves lost in Crocus where would they go?
Glancing upwards the stadium entered his view but he quickly dismissed the thought. Surely not. He only just noticed that Dawn was talking to him and now turned back to respond.
"Hm? How can I you ask? Everyone has a unique magic signature, that's something which I've found out. No magic signature is the same. If she uses her magic in a place surrounded by large clumps of magic like the stadium I would probably struggle to distinguish however." Cody admitted with a shrug.
"View it like a fingerprint. I never forget magic signatures. I've been searching for a particular one for a while now, why would I want to forget them?" Cody added as he glanced down at the ground while he spoke. His fists were at his sides, clenched and trembling slightly. He wouldn't forget that magic for as long as he lived and had developed a habit of remembering magic's in case....well he wasn't sure what he was preparing for.

True to his word, Nidhogg appeared a few minutes later, his mouth a veritable mess of blood before he wiped it off. As he approached, a low crackling sound could be heard comjng from his chest, a sign of his healing factor working its magic after a good meal. He gave the butcher a pat on the back before walking out, presumably with Jasmine in tow. "Jasmine, you seem like a nice girl, but you also seem a bit to eager and cheery considering a coupleif things that have happened today, and I have two theories as to why. Either you're a sadist of some measure, in which case I say welcome to the club, or you're very naive and trusting, which I fid to be more likely. Now, to help me decide in this manner, as well as kill time for a few minutes, I'm going to ask a few questions, one at a time, and what happens afterwards rests on my interest in you afterwards."

Nidhogg spoke as he walked, crackng his neck as he spoke. As people passed him by, his shirt still highly bloody and ripped from the days events, he took a second to decide on his first question.

"Firstly, Jasmine, I must ask that, from what you've seen of me today, am I a good person? If not, what makes me a bad person? Spek only what you feel,,and don't worry about hurting my feelings, cause they're as numb and cold as my actual body.

"It's nice to meet you Miyu." As Kaitlyn heard the place where they would battle, she nodded her head and bolted away. But she quickly came back within a few seconds "Perhaps you should lead the way since outside the city could be anywhere around." As the two left the arena, they eventually found a suitable area outside Crocus to began their fight.

Earthland Shutler | Crocus

Shutler was leaning against a wall in a alleyway and tapped his foot against the ground. He appeared impatient of something and remained silent. Cause a distraction, divert anyone's attention until he successfully leaves the city with the objective. Of course, it's only fun when its done somewhere dark.

"Where's the fun it that when it's in the middle of the day. But I suppose this shouldn't be too tedious since most of these people are busy with the games at moment. That and the sun should be at a good enough position for me to use enough shadows." He left his wall as he stood up straight and brought his fists together. With that, shadows within a quarter mile flowed in front of Shutler and formed a dark beast that stood about nine feet tall as it hunched over it's creator. Once it was complete, Shutler commanded it to wreck the city to it's best abilities, but only within this side of the city. With that said, Shutler walked away and the creature left in the opposite direction as it began it's rampage by demolishing the nearest building. It released a terrifying screech that could be heard within a quarter of the city and continued it's rampage.

Being distracted by the games she missed that she had just shocked someone by accident. Of course that made it all the more surprising when she was suddenly shoved. "Whaa!" Falling forward her arms flailed about before she tumbled over the seats in front of her. Landing upside down her legs twitched slightly before she scrambled to her feet. Slightly confused Ariel glanced around trying to figure out who pushed her.

After a while her eyes locked onto the person that had been sitting behind her, Elizabeth. Pushing her way around people she marched up to the girl. With each step she shifted from yellow to orange. "What the hell. Why did you push me?"

Rose collecte from her surroundings and Elyse's pleas as she nodded "If you want we can, I am not in the current match up for the days"She said to elyse before she turned to attention to the match waiting on jamie to lead them along

Amaya followed her two team members still lost in the train of thought on how angelo managed to tick off a league of assassins and why. She remained silent just wondering if jackie had a twin and if angelo's match with jackie and what he did might have been the reason

"I won't deny that I find some of the scenarios that might occur are amusing. But I won't let him kill you. Maybe toss you around a bit but nothing major." Joshua said before someone got thrown out of the second floor of the Dragon Fang Hotel via the wall. "Kinda like that. Definitely would try to stop that. Oh and look Angelo, it's your fan girl. Wonder why she's here."

After getting tossed through a wall, Aria got to her feet and put out the flames on her calmly before checking her headphones once again. Once she seemed satisfied, she put them on again before glancing around. Her gaze stopped at Angelo briefly before turning back to Jack.
"Even if I left her here, I would not leave her over there. So, no I will not leave her. She's the only one else left from my guild. So, God Slayer, think you can slay a mortal?" She said.



Pyrrha didn't reply, just growing more and more annoyed by this child. When Zephyr summoned a giant orb, Pyrrha took a defensive stance and was more then ready to pummel Zephyr once he got in range after she noticed him charging her. She was caught off guard when he opened a portal and vanished. When the orb exploded and rained down on her, she summoned an orb of flame around her to block the bullets but the shear amount inevitably broke through and she couldn't help but scream as she proceeded to get pummeled.



Elyse smiled at first but noticed her mother wasn't acting like her usual self rather quickly.
"Mommy okay?" She asked, sounding a bit scared and concerned.

The moment the words 'ice cream' escaped Jamie's lips, Amelia's attention went from the match to her mother.
"Ice cream! Really?!" She asked, so happy one could almost see sparkles in her eyes. Amelia's love for sweets seemed to rival Elyse's and she was more then eager to get something like ice cream.

Angelo sighed when he heard that Joshua found some of the scenarios that might happen would be amusing to him and he would let me get pushed around a bit but not let me die. Then when they both saw someone getting thrown out of the building by going through the wall first he said he would try to avoid that "my knight in shinning armor" Angelo told him sarcastically before he said that the person who got thrown was his "fan girl" that's certainly one way of putting how she relents in trying to kill me. Angelo sat down on the floor crossed legged "Nope not doing anything im just sitting here to watch. I am doing nothing to further incriminate myself" Angelo called out to anyone who would hear him but it was mainly directed at the guild inside. He was on their turf and the second he decides to throw a punch he will only seem even worse. Angelo was sick of it and it was really pissing him off, you could almost see his vein popping out on his forehead by how made he was about not being able to defend himself without looking more guilty. It was like the worst kind of paradox...

"Bye bye Mr. Vampy! Let's eat some cake next time Kay?!" Karn chirped cheerfully as he poked his head over the edge and waved farewell before standing and moving further in the ring in order not to fall off. His body twirling and dancing happily as he hummed, emerald eyes curiously looking to Penny then at the other opponents brawling it out.

"Can we not dance around in a pink dress?" Edo-Karn spoke, stopping the body movement to cross their arms and expression melting from a happy one to one of just unamusement. Though it again soon switched again to a more cheery one as Karn giggled girlishly. "You know you act more like a girl then me. And I'm biologically female." Edo-Karn rolled the ethereal glowing green eye.

Karn grinned before pulling at the laces of the dress, letting it fall away to expose bare skin. Wearing black shorts underneath, the slender boy stretched out, exposing his skin to the warm sunlight and allowing the energy to seep into his flesh.

"Okay why are we just about naked? And good Gods you're the girliest whitest boy. Holy shit. I had more muscle. We really need to do some cardio." Edo-Karn spoke, eyes narrowing and looked over the controlled body, sliding the slender clawed fingers along the bare torso in examination. Poking the little bit of toned muscle in the abs. Karn switched in control and started giggling, waving his arms a bit in response.

"Nooooo tickles!" Karn giggled softly before flopping on the warm earth and rolling, basically sunbathing. "Because I get stronger with the sun. And you sorta wrecked our body. Best way of healing without using magic and causing further damage." he purred happily before stopping as Edo-Karn took control and flopped on their back.

"Great, good to know we are a pansy. And besides, that guy wasn't feeling so hot either. Will let him know that blood bending or whatever doesn't feel so good when someone else is pain tolerant." She said.

"Pansy's smell nice! ...And that really hurt!" Karn chirped with a giggle, continuing to roll until lightly bumping into Penny, emerald eyes looking up at the red head. "Hi Penny!" he chirped, emerald eyes wide and sparkly as he wrapped his arms around one of her legs and cuddled it like a child.

"Yeah. Not weird at all. Yup, not a invasion of space. Hey kid shouldn't you go and join the brawl over there?" Edo-Karn spoke, emerald eyes rolling toward the other opponents.

"Maybe... but they look like they're having fun." Karn purred.

"There is little to do about it when there are people who haven't exactly been on good terms competing against one another. For example, having someone like Blood boy over there in the competition." Prince hummed as he looked toward Grant who fell out of the ring, taken by surprise by Karn's comeback.

Hearing her screams he couldn't help but feel slightly bad, then his head started throbbing a bit as he fell to the ground. He clutched his head yelling a bit before a new change would appear on his face. Half his face now took on Loki's side and so did his eyes, in fact this person behaved far different now. He looked at Pyrrha and chuckled before sinking into the ground and popping up in front of her. "Boo!" He said before jumping back and laughing before pointing his finger at her. Yet moved it and then proceeded to fire an orb from his finger. Small at first yet once past Pyrrha it grew in size and right towards Malice.

Malice just yawned and dodged the one kick from Thor who now seemed irritated at her. and said unforgivable to her. Someone took pain personal. So much so they unleashed with their electric legs causing her to go on a defensive, yet at such an odd pattern she would get zapped multiple times before pushing away from Thor and frowning. "Such irregular control, do you even have control on your ma-" She was stopped as a massive orb slammed into her side causing her to yell in pain before it sent her flying right out of the perimeter and far from getting back in.

Zephyr would smile at what he did and would look at Thor and wave. "Was that his sister? Oooh he seems mad at me." Zephyr seemingly said although it sounded like he was talking to himself before looking at both Thor and Pyrrha. "Lets play some more electric bug and hot stuff." Zephyr said tilting his head as two portals appeared before him and he launched his hands through, and both would come out on the side of both Thor's and Pyrrha's face, to hopefully give both of them a nice punch in the face.

Her attention torn between her friends and the Games, Fleo paid the best attention she could to Ariel but did not think it necessary to reply. Only when the other woman stumbled forward did she jump into action, but Fleo acted too late to prevent Ariel’s fall. Wincing, she reached out to do what she could to help her guildmate to her feet, though she did most of the work on her own. Only in afterthought did Fleo remember that there must be a culprit responsible for the mishap. She furrowed her brow and turned as Ariel flamed up. ”What was that for, and why are you even here? Go screw with your own guild if you can’t act like a normal person.” That said, she cast a wary eye at Ariel. By now, she knew that orange equated to aggressive. ”No need to get too worked up over some random jerk, though.” Crossing her arms, Fleo waited to see if this girl would attempt to defend herself. Several months in Phoenix Wing had gotten her acquainted with overly-defensive mages.



The smile of the Genie did not waver even as he fell under the petty and purposeless assault of the smarmy prick he’d so rudely tried to be nice to. Anger smoldered within him, but not a trace of it escaped onto his cheery countenance. No random edgelord with a big mouth could bring him down so easily. ”Ah! No wonder you’re alone. Nyeheheh!” While having made up his mind to leave, Nero imagined that further exposure to his dulcet tones might aggravate this nasty customer, and so wasted no time in continuing. He looked out at the battle, leaning on the rail. ”Yeesh! Wizards are such jokes nowadays, yeah? Always showing off, or on asinine quests for power, when somethin’ as simple and impassionate as a gun –or a curse- could wipe out nearly any wizard under the sun. No doubt you’re as disillusioned as I, to be possessed of such a uniquely revoltin’ attitude. What’s your tragic backstory, I wonder? Lost family, for certain. Can’t be edgy without it. Man, how awful!...heehee. Good thing a sad story’s a perfect excuse to be a stinkin’ scumbag to everyone ya meet, otherwise ya might-a gotten…hurt.”

“Well, since you’ve got it all figured out, I won’t trouble ya much longer. No doubt you’re pleased to have driven another person away: another to add to the long lost. Adieu, adieu!” Nero executed a mocking bow. It always pleased him to make new acquaintances. He span around to head to his seat, his back totally exposed to Ferrin. Yet his smirk did not fade. Hoping that Ferrin might try something, he willed that a Law of Retrogression would befall the first poor soul to try and hit him.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah" Penny said, watching Grant fall. "I'm shaking" She rolled her eyes, and turned to see what was going on still. She couldn't go after Phyrra, not right then. She watched the battle, narrowing her eyes, and making sure she could see everyone. If it came down to her and Karn, Penny knew she would throw herself off the platform. She would have sacrificed herself then, to take Grant down as well, before the blood mage had leaped down.

Penny sighed, wanting this to be over with. Seeing Zephyr attacking both Thor and Phyrra, Penny aimed a ball of fire at Thor, to try and dthrow her off balance even further, and perhaps over the edge. She looked down at Karn practically latched on to her, and smiled. "Hi, Karn. I've missed you" She crouched, to give him a hug. "Thanks for interrupting Grant. Blood magic isn't my favorite thing"

"People have to try, and Iron Enigma hasn't really tried to be friendly. I can understand the uncertanity between Riders Blade and Phoenix wing. Trust doesn't come easily, and has to be earn. I don't like the way Master Jack handled yesterday. I think it just made everything harder. And the trouble is, there's so much going on besides the games. There were some attacks in the city yesterday" Michael watched as Grant was teleported to safety, before focusing on the battle again.

Jamie nodded, and smiled, pleased at the child like reaction from Amelia, "Yeah, Ice cream. We will visit Jackie first, before Angelo goes without me" Jamie said, rising, looking at Rose with concern as she began to lead them out the Arena.

Before Samir can enter the shop to eat, she manages to look at the park from across the street. Maybe she can eat at one of those benches under the big flourishing tree perhaps. The birds were chirping, the children were playing, it just simply looked peaceful. However, she then sees someone in the park that happens to be training. It was a mage, yes, but who? Yet Samir was quick to realize that this was just Damian doing his own thing. She begins to wonder what he was doing as she slowly approaches him.

"Yoooo," she greets him as she gets closer, "Whatch'ya doing out here? Training is it?"

Jack didn't move, though the black flames continued to wreath his arms. "Ah, so you are related to Jackie's past life. I began to wonder that after you escaped the pyre. Your guild is gone, Jackie said so herself. What you hold on to in the past is a sign that you are afraid to move into a future that isn't predetermined by a sick man who did horrible things to this girl to make her who she was. It would be in your best interest in the long run to move on."

He glanced at Angelo and his companions briefly, but remained ready to block any attacks the girl launched. "If you are really here to apologize, Angelo, sitting there and twiddling your thumbs is a poor way to do it. Seeking to stop this girl is not making yourself a target, even if I did explode after the battle yesterday." What he didn't say was it didn't make him a target to Dragon Fang, he couldn't speak for this glass wielding young girl who was threatening his guild member's life.




Damian didn't answer right away, parrying a series of strikes from his summoned ethereal blades before putting an end to their imaginary wielders, causing each blade to fade from existence. He continued this before responding to Samir. "You could say that, though for me it's a touch more extensive. Enjoying the day so far?" One blade came at him from behind, slashing horizontally with intent to cut him in two. Hearing it, he spins underneath and slams the cutlass in his left hand into an imaginary gut, causing that blade to fade away as well.

Samir was indeed impressed by Damian's skills, causing her to be utterly silent as soon as he sliced the blade into the imaginary gut. It was again, very impressive. Now if only he could have skills with a bow like her though...

"Yeah," she replies, "I've decided to take a small break from watching the games and just take a look around here at Crocus. It's been awhile since I've been here anyways.
