And while "It's written from her perspective, so it's okay for me to be wrong" is never really a good justification for anything in an RP, Ludmilla thought that two or three extra magical girls around was going to be a tricky to handle. She's also not noticed that she's counting Kei, Megumi, and Mary twice over, one for going and one for coming back. She's blind as a bat, as Flamelord can attest to.

I like to imagine this was Kyouko's and Mami's dynamic at some point when they fought together. Different Story was nice, but not this heartwarming.

Before continuing with the last four days, I would like to state clearly for the record:

I think I'm in love with Mary Beth's character. She may be the greatest piece of characterization I have ever seen, not to slight the amazing work from everyone, but damn if I'm not blown away completely by every post she's been in.

Speaking of which, how did you manage? Replacement, repair, or phone? It's a pretty smooth recovery for under a day.

Two hard drives. My PC is a Krogan. Main drive is a ssd for the real basic programs (since sdd are a lot faster). And a normal magnetic one with the games and all those things that required space. It isn't repaired, but I could reconfigure it fast.

Edit: And the "busted" drive's back. Mangled but back. Unreliable as hell tho. I'll probably replace it anyway.

I think i've finally put my finger on why so many people keep writing Gdansk when they mean Danzig. It's because Danzig is a german term, given by the ethnically german settlers to the place, and made official by the napoleonic Free state of Danzig. It was later scooped up by Prussia and joined it when all the german princes united and called themselves the enpire of germany, and stayed with germany until the treaty of Versalles, where under article 100 it was refounded under the Leauge of Nations control, to keep it away from the new and untrusted Weimar republic. During world war two it was reconquered like all of poland was at the time, and quietly became a polish state under the potsdam agreement, when all of europe was carved up and quietly became irrelevant in world affairs since there was a big cold war going on.

I'm saying all this because, like Cleo's already said, we're not in the modern day like we know it today. At some point, history has diverged due to the presence of magical girls and hasn't been quite the same since, because some events have been noticed in character and some haven't.

The thing is that it's really hard to tell what changed. There's a Japan, so it obviously wasn't nuked to death by the Americans. There's a France, an England and a Switzerland and a Poland, so most of europe's history went the way it did. But we're calling a polish state by it's german name, so the Potsdam agreement didn't make such a thing unthinkable. Germany has a lot more power and a lot more cultural influence if they're telling people what polish towns are called, so they're not seen so much as the standard bad guys we think them as today.

So, we're living in an alternate history where, due to whatever happened, there either wasn't a global second world war or there was one that the nazis won.

Or i'm overthinking it.
