Okay, I tried not to laugh.

Really, I did.

Okay, maybe not that hard.

The man had already turned his back on me and started walking away, when I started laughing. It was a loud laugh, but free of any mockery or scorn. A laugh that only madmen and those who have endured bittersweet memories know. It rose and fell out out of me, loud and unchained. I had nothing more to say to the man, although I got the feeling that he had understood why I laughed. Actually, I'm not sure why I laughed. There was nothing particularly funny about what he said. I didn't say anything more to Nero, there was nothing more to say.

Yeah, I caught his name. Lets go back slightly. He was trying to bait me with some crummy insults, and by turning his back. As he did, I could easily feel the spell he had ready, like a cold snake slithering down my arms--er, sorry arm, considering I can only feel one. (...yohoho?) But, I digress. The moment he took his eyes off me, I prepared and cast a pair of simple spells. The first, put an illusion of me, right on top of the real me. A bit odd, but the next spell, also of illusion, this time rendered the real me invisible. Both spells had a hint of aether, making them stronger and hearder to pierce, and with the case of the illusion-me, more life-like. With that, I slipped around him, with a good view of my doppelgänger, but out of the path of the spell he oh-so-cleverly was preparing. As I did so, I reached out with my telepathy lightly, seeking any hint of his next and accidentally managed to glean his name from him. With this simple set-up, I would be able to see, identify, and avoid his magic, then counterattack.

But alas, he had some measure of decenty and left without casting it.

My laughter came in here, and if he had looked back, he would have seen two of me, then one fade and disappear. It took a bit, but the laughter settled down into a dull ache for missing friends, but one I dealt with every waking moment (and even some non-waking moments.) so, I put it aside and resumed my study of the magics on display.

@Lugubrious

The man was still on my mind as I watched the impresive display of lightning verses fire. His magic had a odd feeling, and one I didn't know, which puzzled me. Not tooting my own horn here, but I have been exposed to many magics, and know many by feel, and those I don't, I can figure out with a bit of thought, after all, almost all magic can be broken down into it's base elements, and with the knowlage of each of those, I can decide what a magical makup of a particular spell is. Useful knowlage, when one is potentially going up against opponents who can cause spontaneous combustion, tear apart mountains, crush you under thousands of tons of rock, or cause you to start spouting bad poetry. (No, seriously, I ment a wizard who's magic could do that, and it lasted for days. I thought I could never speak to another person again, for fear of embarrassment.)

But I couldn't identify even a part of it, which intrigued me, and left me the question: What was it? I had a growing suspicion that it was not magic at all, but something different entirely. "So, mister Nero." I muttered, all cool like, with a spiffy accent. "There seems to be more to you than meets the eye." But after a moments pause, I added, "Then again, there is always more to anyone than you first experience, take me for example." I pulled my Gauntlet our of my pocket, and gave it a through inspection. I flexed my fingers and made a shiny fist. I put my hand back in my pocket and tried to go back to watching the match.

It didn't last long, though. That Nero's words had struck a slightly numb, but still feeling, nerve. I wasn't going to blow up, or anything, but I felt restless, and a little uneasy. On top of that, the amount of magical energy in the air was making my headache intensify. With a slight flurish, I turned away, and wove through the crowd out of the colosseum, and into town.

Not a few steps out of the entryway, I walked a across that same, silvery cold magic. Hesitating, I glanced at the ground, but saw nothing unusual. I then, walked along it, noticing that it seemed to escribe a massive circle. I filed away the information, just in case it might be relevant. Wandering in no particular direction, I headed away from the arena. Suddenly, I felt a nauseating magic, like a wiff of rancid perfume, pass by me. It was horrible, and had me gag slightly out of reflex.

What the hell was that? It had to be awfully strong for me to feel it over the general buzz of magic in the city, and from, I would guess, a long way away. With a shrug, I followed it, like a hound on a scent. Maybe this would lead me to my mystery man (or woman).

It took me awhile, I got lost and had to backtrack more than once, but eventually, I found the source of the magic. I heard it, long before I saw it. A deadful screach that was more roar, along with the sounds of explosions, and what sounded like a building being demolished. I lept up to the top of a building to survey the chaos. There were several mages locked in combat with what appeared to be a monster made of shadow. Definatly the work of a strong shadow wizard. It apeared to be hell-bent on destruction, so negotiations seemed to be out. Some wizards were keeping it busy, and doing an admirable job of keeping the civilans safe. Off to my left, I could make out the tramp of Rune Knights on the move. Quickly, I weighed the best course of action.

Those wizards were doing well, and with the Rune Knights backing them, they would be able to subdue the thing, but that would cost time, and it might have a trick or two up its (metaphorical) sleeve that could alow it to escape, and continue it's rampage. Or, I could lend a hand, and in the process, have to deal with the Rune Knights, who undoubtedly still wanted me for questioning over the Iron Enigma incedent. (Which wasn't my fault, really.)

Eh... No brainer.

I decided to hit it with all the power I could in a massive sucker-punch, and hopefully finish it off in one blow. Of couse, I had to be careful not to immolate the others around it.

I held my Gauntlet out infront of me, took a deep breath, and gathered my magic. I reached for the destructive might of fire, and the purifying power of light, and gathered them together. I took time to refine the magic, forcing my will on it, and envisioning what I wanted it to do. A ball of red-yellow formed in my palm, like a miniture sun, its heat could easily be felt.

Heres some magic 101 for you: magic comes from emotions. Fear and hate count, but so does love and kindness. The stronger the emotion, the stonger the magic, but its not limited to the kind a wizard calls. There is more magic in a baby's first laugh then any firestorm conjured by a wizard. I have been noted to be a passionate person, maybe thats why destructive magic comes easily to me.

Focusing my will, I poured my emotions into the spell. Anger? yeah, lots of that. Frustration? Ugh... Don't even... Stubbornness? More than you. Pride in my power, too. By now, the spell had grown in power, and the little ball of nuclear sunshine in my palm was so bright it was hard to look at. It danced and glowed with yellow and red. Then I added the final touch. I gathered pure Aether, and infused it with the matix of the spell. Immediately, the ball shrank, to the size of a pin head and gave off a silvery-white, ethereal glow.

My preperations complete, I looked down, to see a dome of some kinda of material-- was that bone? start to rise in a dome. Great, I thought, that will complicate things slightly. I thought. I held the magic on a tight leash as I did one other thing. I infused my telepathy with Aether, and let out a mental shout to all below me. "GET AWAY FROM IT, OR RISK DEATH!" To those on the receiving end, the effect was like some one suddenly shouting in your ear out of dead silence. I gave them a slow count to ten, before I moved in.

The dome was rising quickly, and with a snarl, I took a running leap toward it, my Gauntlet trailing an odd silvery Mist, and in it, a small silver sun.

I have to make this perfect...

My voice rang out, (enhanced by aether, a slight side-effect) louder than it should be that everyone could hear it.

"Aether Enhanced, Fire and Light magic:"

"Helios Vaporizer!"

I shouted, as I cast my magic, my Gauntlet pointed toward the beast, through a rapidly shrinking hole in the top of the bone dome.

There was a moment of silence...then an explosion of light, sound, and force ripped through the silence.

The explosion was enormous, it completely engulfed the beast, and burned so hot, the tempature of the entire block rose by several degrees. It didn't vanish, like a normal explosion, I kept it burning for several seconds, by suppling it with magic, while also making sure most of the heat and flame traveled upwards in a column, even though it cost me a great deal more energy to do so. It burned with a silver, blue and white light. There was also a rush of air from the force of the explosion that could knock a full grown man off his feet. After it dissipated, the ground was scorched black in a huge ring, with a slight crater, and ash fell slowly.

All in all, it was big, it was flashy, and more than a little bit of overkill.

Perfect.

I fell through the resaulting hole in the top of the now-destroyed dome and landed easily, then casualy asked, "Oops, I might have overdid it. Did I immolate anyone important?"

Gabriel
@lugubrious
Gabriel had made his way to the stadium, but after even a few moments sitting there watching the contestants fighting, Gabriel found himself restless. He just didn't like sitting about doing nothing. Yes, he could stay and watch Thor, but he felt like he should be doing something. Anything. he squirmed, wondering if he should have just taken a job instead of come to watch the magic games. He was happy the guild was in the games, but he felt useless.

He wasn't one to sit around and do nothing.

But as the platform began to shake, Gabriel watched it with avid interest, soon his eyes were drawn to Games Master Sheldon, who was scrambling through the crowd, clearly ill at ease. Obviously that wasn't meant to happen, and Gabriel turned his eyes back to the platform, seeing the lacrima that was keeping it afloat failing, and he imagined the magic being leaked out of them, faster then they could be filled.

He didn't know he was up until he approached Sanders, "Sir? That platform is going to fall. If we can fill the lacrima back up, we can keep it up. There has to be a control panel somewhere, and I think Games Master Sheldon is going to it, but he'll need a lot more magic. I can go, but I think we'll need more"

Michael
@Silver Fox
Michael watched the platform, no longer watching the contestants, waiting for the moment that it fell. "I don't think it's been planned. There's a lot of powerful mages there, from the different guilds. Could someone be trying to wipe them out?" The thought was terrifying to Michael, wondering if there was going to be something else to worry about.

Carrie

Carrie looked over her shoulder and smiled wickedly, "oh, you could jump to the top of the list, Gregory. If I were so inclined. Keep that in mind" Pleased with herself, Carrie kept on walking. The blackmailer could easily become the blackmalee, although she wasn't particularly sure Vale cared about that.

Getting to the stadium was a challenge, and then trying to get through the crowd was even worse.

Zephyr/Loki

(Like one swear word)

Loki rose from the ground and tilted his head at the man running at him teeth bared, ready to chomp into him. "If you didn't know there pussy cat. I'm not Zephyr right now. I'm Loki the prankster or deceptive god." Loki said holding his hand out and stopping Karns head although his hand was burning, Loki didn't seem to care much. Instead he gripped his hand a bit and smiled. "So trying to out fool me isn't going to work. You are to young to be trying this crap with me. Now be a good kitty and wait outside for me. I'll be sure to give you some yummy milk!" Loki stated gripping further before arcing his right foot back and unleashing it forward with his dark magic covering his leg to give it that extra oomph. The objective was to punt the kitty out of the ring. "Hey hot stuff, I know you just love looking at my ass I know, but mind helping out electric bug? I'd love to but I only used up like three lives of the kitty here." Loki called out to Pyrrha to see if she was just resting or scheming.

Fleo Plector – Phoenix Wing Stands

@cirusarvennicus@Prince of Seraphs@t2wave

Fleo gave a brief smile to Trinity as thanks for her reassurance, but felt little solace in truth. She remained focused on the games, thankful that Elizabeth’s strange interest in her appeared to have abated. Thinking about her condition was never healthy for her. The dusty woman always felt the most self-sure and free when immersed in the moment, with the worries and events of the past tucked so far back into her consciousness that they might as well not be real. Even though they brought her back down to earth, eschewing for a little while her somewhat childlike joviality, reminders of her past and of herself could only ever be grim.

Cormorant Sanders – Frenzy Plant Stands

@caits

When Gabriel approached, Sanders did not seem to be focused on the game. Instead, Frenzy Plant’s general appeared to be writing in some sort of pocketbook, employing an ungainly and practically illegible script that could have just as well been code. He continued for a moment after the private started speaking, but quickly wrapped up his sentence, clapped the book shut, and tucked it away. With that done he listened, his stolid face like chiseled stone. ”Were you watching the wizards of Iron Enigma, Tough Love, and Pirate Lord? There’s a magic field beneath the platform that slows down whatever falls in. Even if the platform were to plummet from the sky, nobody –particularly these very capable magicians- would be in danger.

“You must know more about lacrima than I; I had not known that lacrima could be filled with power, being crystals made from it, or that people who do not specialize in Lacrima Magic could manipulate them. I’ve always seen that lacrimas react violently to incompatible magic.”
He glanced at the floating platform. ”It seems bizarre that the managers of such an important event would make such a rudimentary technical oversight. If you think that good can be done, however, request any two of my soldiers to go with you and see if they can help. Tell them that it would be a favor to both you and their general.” Sanders, though hesitant to believe that anyone was in real danger, conceded to assist with Gabriel’s idea.

Nero the Genie – Phoenix Wing Stands

@cirusarvennicus@Prince of Seraphs@t2wave

Crossing his arms, Nero considered Trinity’s request. ”Souls?” he ultimately asked. ”What souls? D’you mean personalities? If that’s the case, I can probably help. My new Law makes changing personality easy. It’d be fun to see if I can remove a whole one from someone. Imagine the possibilities! So Karn’s gone schizo, or what?” The dark mage cast his mind back to the other Laws of Manifestation he had performed. Recently, he’d successfully manifested and stolen Eve’s entire depression, keeping her from going insane or breaking down. If such a fundamental part of a person’s mindset could be taken in this way, surely a split personality could be solidified as well.

A somber voice and an odd appearance distracted him from his musings. Immediately after turning his attention to Ariel, he developed a quizzical look. While no true ability to sense magic resided in him, he took a semblance of pride in his intuition when it came to sorcery, but this plant girl struck him as a raging mess—and a potential customer. Nero could not say that he liked her rather condescending tone, but he could never pass up an opportunity. He elected to advertise himself more subtly rather than to throw out a pitch, though, and after a moment’s thought greeted, ”Hello, miss! I’m not sure what you mean about ‘two Karns’, but if it’s either personality or magic related, I’m a miracle worker. Do not underestimate my ability to cure what ails ya!” Ariel found herself confronted with a dazzling smile.

Trinity Stratos

Ariel seemed like she'd be the expert on Karn matters at this point in time, so it was good to have her here for this talk with Nero. "Then we won't do it right away. Options are always ni-... ce... though." Trinity took a moment to look her friend over once. This was certainly... new. Plants didn't normally sprout out of her hair? Well, she seemed to be acting normally, or what passed as normal. Nothing really seemed wrong, just different, so whatever.

Speaking of Nero, it seemed he needed a clarification. "No, not personalities or anything like that. I do mean souls." Trinity gave a pause, considering how to best explain. Maybe she'd better catch him up on a thing or two. "I haven't been there myself, but there seems to be a whole other world out there. A denizen from that world, who happens to be Karn's counterpart, has been soul trapped into Karn's body with him. Not two personalities, but two people. At some point in time, we're probably going to want to separate them. Not just yet, but eventually, that may be the idea."

Nidhogg

As Ferrin unleashed his attack, sending the small projectile hurtling through the closing hole, several bone spires would sprout on the other side, crossing over each other to form a mini-dome on the other side of the hole. The explosion would go off, blasting a good chunk of burning bone debris into the air as it unleashed it's devastaing payload above the heads of those inside. Nidhogg looked on with a grin, knowing the likelihood that someone woukd find out about this little trick were rather slim, as it would be impossible to see from the outside, and the darkness inside made it difficult to see what happened, esprcially since he doubted most people would take their eyes off the shadow beast to see what it would do.

As flaming chunks of burnt bone fell to the ground around them, Nidhogg would simply snap his fingers, feeding magic into the dome to have it quickly begin to reform, though not before a man had leaped in looking rather pleased with himself. So this is the buzzkill who tried to spoil my fun, eh? Looks rather strong, probably made a good substitute for the creature if I let him kill it, or if he didn't give that warning. Still, rather annoying when somebody tries to swoop in and end a fight like that. Should've minded his own business. Nidhogg thought aa he gave the man a sideways glare before refocusing on shadow creature, his thoughts wandering as he gave it another look over. Hmm, I can't help but marvel at the skill it would've taken to create such a construct, it's rather impressive. So where, I wonder, is the master? Nobody makes a mess like this if they're trying to lay low.

Aria didn't even so much as shiver at Jack's threat and instead turned her attention to Angelo, as he seemed to be posing the biggest threat right now. Behind him, she spotted Jamie, Amelia, and Rose and quickly assessed the threat they posed. None seemed to be eager to jump in yet. Fine by her. She'd kill the lightning mage and be done with it.

As the boy dashed forward and tried to sweep her legs out, she jumped over his foot and vanishing into a mirror, only to appear out of another one a few feet away. She glanced at Angelo then at Jamie. If the guild master decided to act, she could be in trouble. Since Jamie could mess with her glass, she would need to use her unarmed skills and defensive magic to win. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he turned back to Angelo and waited for him.

Pyrrha frowned at how Loki was unfazed by her flames. If it was true that they were facing a god, then things were definitely going to be bad. Gods were forgotten for a reason. With the lack of worship, their influence waned but if one popped up and gained worshippers, things could be a problem. Wathcing the ensuing fight as Loki engaged Karn and Thor jumped in, she sighed. she really hated what she was about to do.
"You know, I would love to see those annoying birds get their wings clipped." She said, walking forward, sword at her side. "But you are a bigger threat to me then them. And amusing as it was to see them being attacked, I think it's bed we put on thing to bed. You're weaker then us. So, how about we get you out of here so Zephyr can come back?"

Shadow Beast and Shutler Wake | Crocus, Ivory Dome
@Natsume Honnaji@Silvan Haven@Lunarlors34@Raijinslayer@Prince of Seraphs@Crimson Raven

As the shadow beast continued its chase on the civilians, a girl appeared in front of its path and cleaved through the beast. The strike caused the beast to halt its movement as it tried to keep its body from sliding apart. Fixing it's body back in place only took about a second, but soon met by a random bulky man made of flesh quickly charged in and smacked the beast into the side of a building. The man would relentlessly claw the beast with its vicious claws, only to be kicked over a building that was across the street. The beast tried to repair its wounds with the shadow and darkness nearby, but screeched as it was halted again by a few light spears that were able to pierce the beast.

The shadow beast was slowly losing strength from the various attacks. But once the dome was in place and darken everything inside it, the shadow beast was able to recover faster than before and pried the spears from its body. Now that the the beast was in its element, it was going to pursue the wizard that fired light spears. But it froze as it sensed a ball of light, closely equivalent to the sun, hurtling towards it. After the blast from the miniature sun, everything inside the dome became dark again and the shadow was no where to be seen. Although the top half of the ivory dome fell, a dome of shadowy darkness quickly replaced the top half that fell just moments ago.

Clapping could be heard from the ceiling of the dome. From above, a person can be seen applauding as he floated from ceiling. His appearance couldn't clearly be seen by the darkness that covered his face, but he began to speak "Who ever created this bone dome, I must thank you, something I don't do very often. You're making what I thought would be a difficult job, easier. Especially not that it has my seal of approval with this new top half I created. If you haven't figured it out already, my shadow beast thrives on darkness. Making and sustaining a beast during the day isn't easy. But in an environment like this, creating one is simply too easy." As Shutler finished his speech, screeches could be heard in numerous buildings as well as wild movement from inside. Within seconds, a several dozen of shadow beasts emerged from the buildings as they made their way on streets and rooftops. Although there many, they weren't as tall or powerful as the first one. Anyone could have tried attacking while him while he was a open target up there, but any attack would of been blocked by a shadowy wall that would extend to out from the interior of his dome. "Because I need to keep you wizards busy for the moment and regrettably have causalities at a low. I'll help by allowing some sunlight to provide some dim lighting to help in your fight."

"And tell Phoenix Wing that I said thanks for letting me free, again!" With that said, Shutler vanished in a mist of darkness. Now that the top half of dome was now made of a shadowy roof of darkness, the shadow beasts galloped their way towards the ivory walls of the dome as they plan their small ascent climbing out from ivory dome and phasing through the now shadowy top half of the dome.

Wes Gusto | Crocus, Ivory and Shadowy Dome

Wes was out on the streets searching for Shutler again with the help of some light bugs scatter across the city, hidden in lamp posts. But the sounds of screeches and rumbling caught his attention. After finding a good vantage point on a building to view the city, Wes could see a ivory and shadowy dome. He lifted his wrist as the dozens of light bugs scattered around the city began to converge around over the dome like very tiny spot lights as they tried to scan for any movements by Shutler. With his gravity magic, Wes flew towards the dome in hopes to find Shutler or some trace of him.

She followed Jamie while pulling out her communication lacriema hoping lucus would answer as she watched aria with some surprise of the resemblance of Jackie.
"lucus! I need you to find us now. Did you know Jackie had a possible twin? That possible twin is at my location." rose said hoping Lucus would answer and get there quickly

Amaya sighed scratching her head "true my parents gave me to the temple to our deity but at least I don't hide in a isolated world only able to watch others have family and friends but never be able to have some like you..." amaya said as the air around her got a tad bit colder as what aria said hurt but she wasn't going to allow it to affect her. She listened to her speak of Joshua's past as she could tell he was not happy about it.

She didn't attack as she watched Angelo letting him try to make it up to Jackie and jack. She looked over to see her guildmaster. "Master Jamie...we believe this is Jackie's twin sister. She kinda looks and smells like her."

Gabriel had to stop himself from snapping out something that could be considered quite rude to Sanders, and instead took a breath before patiently explaining, "lacrima aren't that complicated-before everything people didn't truly understand lacrima, but with the few wizards now out there who can manipulate them, they aren't that complicated. Most lacrima can be charged, as long as you use raw magic, like with magic powered vehicles. And no disrespect sir, but I think the teleportation to safety will fail when the platform fails as well. And how many of the contestants can actually fly? They may be powerful, but even a fall from that height will leave them damaged"

There were things Gabriel didn't want to think about, but explaining about the lacrima brought them back. There had been a time when daily he, Michael, and many others had been forced to fill lacrima with their magic. Leaving them with just enough energy to get through the day.

"and sir? I don't think it's the organizers fault. So far everything's been okay with their plans. I think someone is trying to sabotage this. Just a thought"

And then Gabriel was gone, hurriedly rounding up who would help, he pretty much shoved his way through the crowd, as the platform seemed to shake and drop a little bit. He hoped that no one would get pushed off as the magic failed.

Without a word, he shoved Games Master Sheldon aside from a console like bench, taking all of three seconds to study it, Gabriel slapped his hand on a small lacrima embedded in the centre. Channeling raw magic was easy once you knew how. The difficult part was making sure you didn't siphon off all your magic and kill yourself. It was, in essence, a form of discipline and about knowing your own strength.

Gabriel hoped he had enough magic to do some good.

master Jamie

Jamie wondered why things had to be so difficult. She gave a sigh, but nodded to Ayamain acknowledgment. It was clear that the girl was going full out on Angelo, and Jamie couldn't have that. The girl wouldn't stop until he was dead. Jamie looked back over the match, wondering why she hadn't appeared them.

Jamie didn't dwell on that for long, as the girl reappeared out a mirror, Jamie moved to Angelo's side, and quickly stepped in front of him, throwing out her arms, she didn't touch her blade, nor even reach for magic, except that to maintain her wind walls.

"if you have qualms with Angelo harming Jackie; the fault is not his. It is mine, and mine alone. If you feel the need for revenge on someone, then you should feel it to me. Leave Angelo alone, leave my daughters alone, little Elyse, and my guild alone.

But whatever your beliefs, Jackie wouldn't want this. I do not believe she blames Angelo, for why would she agree to a date otherwise? Please, let Angelo go. Otherwise you are just going to hurt Jackie yourself!"

Jamie had no doubt that she could stand the girls attacks, if she did engage Jamie. But, while she had faith in Angelo, she didn't want a repeat of yesterday, which would just make things even worse.

Robin had braced himself thoroughly to ram through the dome but quickly realized his efforts were pointless as he simply phased through. The moment he made it through he made a halt about one foot into the dome. Once inside he looked around trying to see what he could in the shadows although it wasn't much he could make out the outline of a couple people and the beast as well. He then thought to himself "Hmm..these people could be helpful..or they could turn out to be quite the opposite..I better find out fast." and with that the four metal blades that he was using to brace him arms shot out towards the beast.

Before Robin's blades made it to the beast another person outside attacked the dome leaving a hole in it and causing severe to fall but also light to shine in for a brief period before it was covered over in shadows. However the light shone just long enough for him to clearly see the other people in the dome, one looked like he was trying to end the beast fast...the other on the other hand seemed to want to make this last, and of course, Robin couldn't let that happen. Once the debris began to fall Robin waved his hands around and the four blades spun around to deflect any that would potentially fall on him. I-"

Before Robin could get out more than one word the man who created the shadow cover over the hole showed himself, mostly, and began speaking about how he created the beast and how he needed to keep them busy. As he spoke smaller shadow figures emerged from the buildings within the dome and Robin threw down his cloak all ten blades which were in it were now floating around him with the tips of the blades pointed outwards away from him ready to strike at a moments notice.

Once the man was finished speaking he left the dome and let some light shine through, just enough for Robin to see all he needed to see and also to weaken the beast. As soon as the man was gone Robin began to speak to the other mage in the dome. "I don't know who you are, nor do I really care right now, just from looking at you I can tell as much as I need..for now at least...you may not like it but we need to work together here to get rid off these little guys and that big guy." He took a moment to look over at the one that clearly wanted to drag this out. "and we need to do it quickly wetter you like it or not, you'll get your fun eventually, but not right now."

Angelo was getting ready to try and attack her again knowing that he couldn't go full force inside so he wanted to try and force her out of the building at least. However before he could try master Jamie got in front of him to try and plead for her to leave us alone and that it was her fault from what Angelo did to Jackie. Angelo wanted to tell her to not blame herself because it was his fault. Angelo turned to mirror girl and said leave now and I will forgive you. I came here to apologize not to hurt someone else Angelo said still not wanting to hurry her despite how she wanted Angelo's head.

Jasmine Lockwood, Cody Bloodstein and Shiro Hime

@Raijinslayer@Prince of Seraphs@Natsume Honnaji@Expolar@Crimson Raven[@Silan Haven]
Before Cody could explain what his magic did however a large dome made out of what seemed to be bone erupted out of the ground and surrounded them. Fearing the worst Cody took a deep breath.
"Absolute Defence: Activate." He muttered under his breath as a small gust was now emitted from his magical power being released. Just in time too as some loud person now began to count to ten in their heads. Ten huh? Long enough then.
Stepping in front of Dawn defensively he held both hands out.
"Absolute Wall." He said as he drew a line in front of him with his fingers. It was a spell he had learned a while ago. By concentrating his magical power across that line he could create a shield made of his magic power.
As the explosion now occurred however his shield cracked all over from the shockwave alone. The heat now began to pour in as the shield was barely holding together...but by some miracle it did hold.
Only because Cody had also simultaneously used Absolute Defence to cancel out the some of the heat which had come their way. However such a combination drained him slightly as he was now panting.
He listened to the man in the sky above before narrowing his eyes as more shadow creatures appeared. Drawing his sword now he realised he would have to fight them properly.

Shiro was surprised as her scythe cleaved cleanly through the creature before disappearing when she noticed Nidhogg coming. Best to get out of his way when he was attacking. When she reappeared she saw a man in the sky above them? With the dome closing in around of him she saw a silver twinkle coming their way....oh dear. Teleporting as quickly as she could she only just managed to escape the radius of the explosion, but the shockwave caused by it also caused her clothes to ripple. The heat was intense, even from so far away, but bearable.
Watching rather calmly as the master revealed himself and made more she simply twirled her scythe before giving chase to the nearest beast, going to cleave it half as she did the original. Even if they were in the air, she could teleport after it.

Jasmine meanwhile was outside the dome without a clue as to what was going on inside and was still in shock at what she had seen.

Collab between myself and @rivaan for the night of the third day/early fourth day
Angela Arthur James Jessica

Angela nodded excitedly at the prospect of going to Janna's place for dinner.
"Yes please!" Angela said as she hugged Puppy-Arthur close to her chest. Arthur was not amused by this situation at all.
"Sounds like a solid plan." Jessica nodded in agreement to this satisfactory arrangement. Arthur was their cook usually, but depending on how long it took for the magic to wear off....
James simply followed behind the group silently. He however did nod his approval of the plan, even if he didn't Angela would probably kick the crap out of him.
"Hehehehe... I'm glad you guys decided to come indeed!" Janna stated with a smile as she began slowly leading the way through the town towards the temporary home." It's not the grandest place, but it has an outdoor kitchen with a table and chairs in the backyard that can be used." Janna explained as she kept an eye around for shops and stands that sold food ingredients.

"Ahhh... just a moment!" Janna said to the rest as they passed a grocery store where she quickly ran to buy a bunch of stuff and a few minutes later she returned with a few big bags full to the brim with food. She then threw a quick glance at James, who stood there. From the way she looked at him, she made her intention for him to grab a few bags to carry quite clear."Ahm..."
James glanced over at Janna when he noticed her looking at him. She looked like she wanted something....but what? After a moment of pondering, he realised that she wanted his help to carry the shopping and thus now grabbed a few bags as the group continued it's walk to Janna's place.

"Well took you long enough to notice." She said as the man took some of the bags." Still at least you realized it, I've had cases where they simply stood there staring at me blankly, unable to realize the simple thing I require from them. So for that you have my thanks~"

"By the way, does any of you suffer side effects from your magic?" She asked while they walked. Having her side effects was very annoying, so she was wondering if there were other people out there with similar problems.
Angela pondered the question for a moment before shaking her head.
"Not of what I can think of, no." Angela shrugged her shoulders as she glances down at Puppy-Arthur. He also shook his head for no, his magic may be different and weird but it didn't have any side effects. Of what he knew of anyway.
"Magic side effects? I am told that my magic has twisted my personality somewhat, but I don't understand how." Jessica replied as she now stroked her chin thoughtfully.
James followed behind as he silently listened to the others answers. It was true, her personality had been warped. Before she had been 'justice this' and 'justice that' but now, her 'justice' had become quite sadistic.
"Neither do I." James chimed in from behind. He wasn't sure anyone heard or really cared, what with their girls chat going on ahead, but he decided to answer nonetheless.
"Well it seems that then I'm not the only one experiencing some kind of side effects..." She said with a sigh as they walked. Usually her sense of direction was extremely bad, but luckly this time her place to stay was a straight line from where they were so it was simply a matter of walking down the street

"My magic makes it so my very touch cuts in addition to making my body have the properties of a blade aka durability and things. Problem is that sometimes after I stop my magic the effect lingers and I cut things without wanting to. Most my scars I earned that way." She said with another sigh." I'm not actually sure if it's really a side effect or some kind of error in the magic part. Since I can't even remember how I got this magic, I have no idea where to start searching."

"Ahh, we are almost there!" She finally said, pointing a building in the distance." That building over there with the green tiled roof
It was at this exact moment now however that Arthur suddenly transformed back. Due to the way Angela was holding him as a pup, when the smoke from him transforming back cleared he was now on top of her in a rather compromising position.
"Ow...you're heavy." Angela groaned to the man now on top of her. She was completely oblivious to the awkward position the two now found themselves in, much to the amusement of James who was now trying to stifle a chuckle.
However a huge grin broke out on his face and you could see the edges of his mouth twitching. Jessica meanwhile didn't have the same self-restraint and broke out in laughter. In fact she fell to the ground holding her sides, that's how much she was laughing.
"Glad to have you back, Arthur. I was wondering if you would stay a cute puppy forever~" Janna said with a whistle as she watched amused the sight before her eyes for a few moments, before she reached a hand out to help the man get of her cute little Angela." Come on now, my place is just a few dozen meters from here." She said and one again led them forwards to the building with the green roof.

Opening the door on the side of the building at the fence, she led them at the back yard where there was a big table with many chairs and a big outdoor kitchen that was already stocked with wood." I have permission to use this place since I rented a room here. So I will now get cooking."

"Ahh Janna, will you be cooking now?" An elderly woman showed up from the building, with curious expression on her face." I see you brough friends. Do you need help?" The older woman asked, but the former theif only shook her head and the woman with an understanding nod went back into the building.

"Well, make yourself at home for now. It will take a little while before the first food get's ready. So till then here are some appetizers~" She said and started to prepare salads and to cut dried meat
Arthur frowned as he mumbled under his breath as he let Janna help him up. Angela laid on the ground like a flattened pancake. Her eyes were just swirls at this stage.
"I'll kill that genie when I see him again..." Arthur grumbled angrily as he scooped Angela up and proceeded to carry the little girl the rest of the way.
"Look mate we know you like girls like Georgie but don't attack little girls like that." James said with a wide grin on his face. The look Arthur gave him quickly made him shut up and move ahead quite quickly.
Once there James placed the shopping where Janna placed the rest of the shopping before pulling out a chair for Jessica, who simply nodded and sat down with the grace which had abandoned her just moments before.
Arthur was still mumbling under his breath when he placed a still recovering Angela on a chair as well, glaring at James the entire time.
~Unspecified ammount of time later~

"Ohhh... my head..." Janna moaned as she slowly tried to stand up. Everything was spinning and she had one hell of a hangover." What time is it?" She asked the people around her who were in similar way spread on the floor of her humble abode. The simple dinner turned into more of a party with lots of alcohol and at that point she kind of loses any memory of the event. From the looks of it, it was already late into the next day." Oi... anyone awake?" She asked the rest, moving with great efford to the small sink in the bathroom and splashing herself with water to wake up.
Arthur grumbled some sort of reply to Janna's question but otherwise continued to lay fully spread out on the floor. Jessica had fallen asleep with Angela in her lap in the corner of the room, both girls sound asleep.
Meanwhile James was at the table...still drinking. He looked completely calm and unaffected by the alcohol. He now glanced up from the drink he had just opened and waved towards Janna.
"Yeah I am." He said before taking a swig from his newly opened drink. It would seem that James had a very high alcohol tolerance.
"How come you are unaffected like that?" She asked, taking a glass of water." You drunk just as much if not more than most of us... that's not normal no matter how much of tolerance you have..." She said and sat on a chair, keeping her hands on her eyes for the light hurted like hell." What's the time...?" She asked.
"Of course I am human, not my fault you guys can't hold your alcohol." James chuckled before taking another sip. He had been drinking even after the others had passed out, he had probably drunk more than them combined yet was still unaffected. Why?
Who knows. Better question, how and why did they have so much alcohol?
He glanced around at all the empty bottles and made a sheepish grin.
"Sorry most of that was me." He said before taking yet another swig. Unlike Arthur, who had pretty much died after three drinks much to James' amusement, James could handle alcohol obviously.
Noticing that the light was hurting Janna's eyes, James now clicked his fingers and the light around of them dimmed slightly. His magic wasn't powerful in the combat sense, but this much he could do.
"None of us are what one considers 'normal', after all we are from a dark guild." James replied as he leaned back in his seat. He knew that Janna knew, she had pretty much declared that yesterday at the stadium.
"The time? I believe midday. Should be the fourth day of the games as well if I'm not mistaken...we did meet the third day right?" James paused slightly as he tried to remember what day of the games they had met before shrugging. Either way everyone had only been out for a few hours. Or in Arthur's case, several.
"I see..." Janna replied, slashing some more water on her face. That man was not normal by any way... no normal human could take that much alcohol as if it was nothing. Janna herself while having poor health was able to carry her drinks to an extend, but his was inhuman. She sighed in relieve as the light dimmed.

"Alright let's start waking up the others, we all will sober up and go have a walk around town. I just don't feel like going to the stadium... my head will cut itself off in protest and run away if I do that. The flashes and noise will kill me if I go anywhere near there." She said as she ran to wake up Angela and Jessica.
"Yeah, yeah leaving me with Mr Sunshine." James mumbled as he drained the rest of his drink before throwing the can at Arthur's sleeping form. The can made a resounding, loud clanging noise as it rebounded off of his head.
Almost immediately afterwards Arthur leapt up and cried out, holding his head gingerly before looking around to try and get his bearings. Noticing James waving at him, he started glaring towards James. Of course it was him.
Jessica woke up quite easily, as soon as Janna approached actually her eyes flew open and she now started to nudge Angela awake. While this was happening Angela made a strange purring noise as she was stirred, brushing away Jessica's hand.
"A little longer..." She mumbled tiredly into her shoulder, causing Jessica to sigh.
"I didn't want to do this..." Jessica said before simply standing up and dropping Angela on the ground...only for her to remain completely asleep. Well damn.
She decided to leave the matter to Janna, and as soon as Janna awoke Angela they would move out.

Thor

Thor clicked their tongue when Penny didn't get hit by even one of her whip hits. Penny dodged and blocked everything that was trown at her and even after all that tried doing the same as Thor did but instead with one whip two! Thor speed of moving the whip went up and on top of that it didn't even look like it moved naturally anymore. In fact the end of the whip relocated itself to the spot where Penny's whips were about to hit. It looked rather tense between the two but Thor could easily keep up with any form of speed of combat. Making her heart beat faster helped a huge deal with that.

Thor was surprised by Karn, she might not be the best at paying attention to her surroundings. Karn his tail was slammed behind her trying to swipe Thor's legs. It was a success but Thor could quickly recover by ending it in a backflip and some good sense of balance the only thing was that this didn't give her enough time to react to the opponent in front of her. Penny whipped her with the two whips once more that painfully landed on her chest and belly. It burned through her clothes on her skin she denied the urge to yell as loud as she could and kept it to a simple grinding of her teeth and some grunting. Thor fell to her knees hugging her own body out of pain. It was hard to disable these senses so near her heart and all the other organs that were there. She decided not to do it and let it burn nicely. Thor lowered her head to the ground and softly spoke.

"Shock wave"

A light blue transparent field erupted from her body to all her sides expanding like the speed of lighting. It just about covered the center of the field. All opponents hit by the field would paralyse on the spot for a moment. Just enough for Thor to swiftly walk over to Penny and give her a nice warm hug stinging with electricity. Just about everything she could do in this state without hurting herself all too much.

Thor's presence seemed to darken as she readied herself for her next move. It was truly horrible what she was gonna do but nothing seemed to work at this fight and it was just about the only thing she didn't have to do much for except stay in the same position.

"Electrocute"

But not only once but endlessly, Thor and a small area around Thor would light up in a light blue color each time Thor electrocuted the poor Penny. It didn't hurt only Penny but Thor too, her mana drained at an incredible rate. She had never gone this far to get someone out of the ring. Lighting would strike upon Thor like she was a lighting rod. It wasn't her own doing but rather she was a big shooting mark for the lighting. Thor could feel her skin burn. It was so hot, the lighting hitting upon her. Thor didn't know what was gonna happen after this. She hadn't completely ended up without mana before.

Lux Harken- Giant Dome Fight

Looked like the mastermind had finally shown himself. Judging from the way he tossed magic around like that he was an extremely high level one as well...and a distraction.

I get the distinct feeling that I'm a B-lister in somebody else's story. The thought idly swept through Lux's mind as he pulled another spell from his memory.

"Light Make: Armor, Level One."

As the words swept from his lips light sprang forth from several places on his body. Quickly sweeping over his entire form the surrounding street was lit up with a bright flash that slowly faded enough for an observer to see the mage's new form. His clothes now shone as though strands of pure light had been woven into them. In addition a series of bars connected themselves to cogs at Lux's various joints.

During the day and out in the open it would simply look like he had gotten some shiny new clothes. In this dark and gloomy place though, Lux Harken shone like a beacon. Banishing the surrounding gloom and clearing the air like a spring gust.

Magic gathered and built in the hilt in his hand, building to a crescendo until the newly armored mage spun in a circle and called out.

"Light Make: Starlight!"

A series of lights shot up into what there was of a sky and stoped, hanging there and providing plenty of light for the other combatants to fight by. With a determined and magic reinforced step Lux set off to find the original shadow monster. The new ones seemed to be lesser threats and if he came upon any Lux would be happy to dispatch them. However the larger beast was more likely to kill people and he had no plans to lwr it or it's master go.

Karn/Edo-Karn || Crocus || Games Stadium

@liferusher@Caits@Joshua Tamashii@Oblivion666

"I have no idea who you are then! Nice to meet you though!" Karn replied just as cheerfully, seeming unmoved from being stopped. Like this really was just a game. As his flaming headbutt was stopped by a hand from the Dragon Fang member, he didn't react fast enough as apparently Loki's dark magic covered leg collided against the much larger beast's underbelly. It normally would take quite a deal of strength to just launch a horse sized muscled beast out, but Karn was apparently not dealing with just a regular wizard. It quite hurt too, despite his tough hide. He was probably going to feel that definitely as a human and definitely tomorrow morning.

Just as Karn was being flung away, he transformed again. This time into a green frog, his tongue flicking out and wrapping itself around Loki/Zephyr's arm. Causing him to snap back at the momentum and hit against it, though of course doing basically nothing. Bloody hurt though, that was real sore on the tongue. But he couldn't use flight, as that was against the rules. So he'd have to go for the next best thing. Transforming again, he changed into a small cockroach, sliding into Loki/Zephyr's sleeve and proceeded to crawl along the skin along the arm. Soon enough coming out from the back of the neck and transforming again into the draconic cat and leaping away and onto Pyrrha's head.

"Sowwy I'm annoying." Karn pouted ears twitching before leaping off and transformed into a human.

"There are actual Gods here? And you got the one of trickery and treachery? And you don't know who that is? Do you study at all?" Edo-Karn spoke as soon as they were human again, ethereal eye flashing in minor confusion and curiosity before Karn promptly giggled.

"Um... I might have not paid too much attention... unless they were animal legends like a dragon." Karn replied, coughing a little, feeling the blow in his gut be ten fold on his human form, blood forming in his mouth in which he reflexively swallowed. Even with his second origin unlocked, he was using quite a bit of his magic, as his type ate through his supply. And thanks to electric girl, her thunder clouds covered the sun and cut off his flowing supply of power. Unless he ate flames from the other two wizards, he wouldn't be able to recover via other source. Yet Loki didn't seem too bothered. Just before he can transform and recover, the electric girl whom he managed to occupy a little in his multi attack on Loki and her managed another spell. He didn't notice fast enough, nor was it quite as predictable as the thunder clouds, to dive in the earth again this time and was hit.

Despite his human body being a bit stronger then previous, it was still vulnerable and he let out a cry as electricity sparked through his flesh, rendering unable to move for a moment. For a brief moment, his pupils slitted like a cat's, as if he was starting to panic and lose absolute control over his actions. Fear slithering into his brain, but he could feel Edo-Karn take over at that moment. To help render the flee or fight instinct non-existent. Not exactly wanting to lose control and actually try doing lethal damage.

"....Well... she'd make a good battery pack." Edo-Karn stated with a slight weak grin.

Prince || Crocus || Game Stadium

Prince hummed as he continued to watch the platform and battle. "Perhaps. Though they aim quite small if that's the case. Indeed, all of those there are top capable fighters. But one would think if they really wanted to get rid of quite a bit of wizards, they'd go for the stands. They'd have a chance to wipe out quite a few, including Guild Masters. Unsure how'd they do that unless they somehow manage to shut off the barriers at the right moment, but that would take a lot of preparation and timing. Even hacking in a secured system like that would more or less just leave a brief unpredictable gap. Perhaps it is a personal vendetta on a particular wizard? Or merely a coincidence? It is still rather odd. I'm not too worried over the current contestants safety though. They're the type to be able to get out from a falling platform fairly well. I know two of them can at least fly, and one if needed can transform big enough to carry the rest out if needed be." Prince said softly, twirling a red rose between his clawed fingers.

Nidhogg

Nidhogg couldn't help but give a quick round of applause and a chuckle at Shutler's little speech, finding it to be rather entertaining, only to hiss his disapporval as the man summoned a bunch of weak looking shadow creatures, fodder that Nidhogg had no intention of chasing. He was going to just turn and leave, only to find himself being addressed by an unimpressive man, only giving him a bored look in return before giving a slight sigh.

"Fine, if you insist." Nidhogg then made a motion with his hand, causing 4 spires of bone to rise infrint of him. The spires would open up to reveal corpse-like amalgamations of flesh and bone step out, sniffing and bitinf at the air as they looked around, waiting for their master's orders. Nidhogg stepped up to each one, pulling out a small pouch from one of his pockets and sticking a small shard of bone into each one, before doing similar for his meat puppet, who had walked over to the group after it had been sent flying away. Then, with a snap of fingers, the done was filled with the sounds of cracking bones, monstrous howling, and squelching flesh as they all shifted into more scaled and reptilian monstrosities.

The first four were about the size of a man, with thick plate-like scales covering their mottled bodies, their fangs a slimy black that clashed disgustingly with their pale, swollen tongues. Claws as long and Shari as knives clacked against each other and the ground from where they protruded from the undead hands and feat of these abominations. And their eyes, glowing with an eerie violet light, gave off quite the sinister feeling. The meat puppet looked similar, except he was about double the size of the others, with better armor and a more savage appearance. The meat puppet growled, getting in a position like he was ready to bound up the walls thus second to end the shadows that instant.

Nidhogg would pat his creatures on their back, giving them a grand smile as he checked them over for any deficiencies.

"Now then, my beauties will take the brunt of the combat while you lot attack from the back, making sure that you aim to destroy, want to be sure their dead before changing targets. Any questions? No? Good, because it's time to fuck this guy up." Nidhogg would say with a confident grin, turning to face the shadow creatures, his own undead monsters giving a haunting roar of challenge. Than he would disappear in a burst of speed too fast for all but maybe Ferrin to really see. . . and would launch a bone-breaking kick to Robin's chest, aiming to sending him flying towards where Dawn and Cody where position, a ways away from the fighting.

As this was happening, 4 four ivory spikes would launch themselves from the ground, launching with high speed and power put behind them in an effort to take advantage of the element of surprise, each one infused with a good amount of necrotic energy that would quickly began to cause his flesh and bone to decay and rot. Ferrin would be assaulted by the largest creature and one other, while the final 3 would go after the hopefully injured Lux. While they were distracted, Nidhogg would raise a wall of bone between the two groups, all the way to the ceiling, and through it as he made a secondary dome above him, Dawn, Robin, and Cody. After covering the area, mixing with part of the old dome as well to make up its other wall, it would shrink down until it was half the height and size of the previous done, creating a small fighting arena-type environment.

The walls of this dome were 3 feet thick(the previous dome had walls about 6 inches thick) and twice as durable, and the inside would be illuminated by a sinister purple glow emanating from the walls, a sign of the necrotic energy being pumped into it. Touching the wall would be greatly painful and unpleasant. This would also make it so that people trying to get in would he met with a particularly nasty surprise. Not only that, but given the close quarters, that meant their was a limit amount of oxygen, something that Nidhogg could go a lot longer without then any of the mages he was facing, so they'd have to beat him quick and conserve oxygen. . or risk suffocation.

"Now then, I'm going to kill the one who pissed me off by telling me what I need to do. That's all I plan to do, and if you two wish to continue you living, you'll allow it. Otherwise, you'll all die. Also, considering I've hit shadow creatures in here, if your boss can hear, stay away from the mouthy one, and you can do whatever. So. . . what's it going to be?" While Nishogg was smiling and talking in a normal tone of voice, it wasn't hard to see the seething rage that pulsed just beneath the surface of his facade. He meant every word he said, and if Dawn and Cody got involved, would show no mercy.

After Robin spoke the man who wanted to draw things out seemed to get irritated. This was to be expected as the man seemed to be more on the excitable side, of course him making more creatures for the others to deal with was not quite as expected however Robin thought, hoped, that the others could take care of them easily enough. Robin's intention was to get that man away from the others and keep him from causing any trouble for those fighting the beast. His plan worked quite well as the mage launched at Robin with a kick aimed for his stomach, unfortunately with the speed the kick was coming the most Robin could do to block it was put out his hands lessening the possibility of internal damage, of course this would also cause some damage to his arms in turn.

The hit connected pushing Robin back towards to other people who were in the dome and the man joined with them separating them all from the others in another separate before the man gave a speech about how he only wanted to kill Robin and wouldn't hurt the others if they didn't get in the way. Once finished Robin stood himself up right and the blades, which where still with him, all began spinning rapidly in a circle around creating a solid ring blade around his waist. "You two don't have to fight if you don't want to, I'd rather not put anyone else in a dangerous spot. I wouldn't mind if you kept the little guys busy on the other hand." Robin looked at the other two who were in here with him and the other man before looming at the other man with a wide smile of satisfaction on his face his arms hanging slightly as he couldn't keep them completely up with the damage they took and chuckled softly. "Anyways, now that I have you away from the others my main goal is accomplished, however it seems as though you have the intent to kill me. I would've just let you stay here and chat for a bit or maybe even have a fun little bout with you until they finished the beast, but I simply can't let..no..won't let you kill me just tet, I still have things I must do and I wouldn't be able to do them if I were dead. If you still want to kill me after this I'll let you once I've done all I have to do, you may have to wait a while, but you'll get your wish."

Robin looked at the man with a fiery determination in his eyes as he stood with his side facing the man "So....shall we begin?"

Lux Harken- Dome Fight

Of course, even if Lux was giving his position away wonderfully, shooting with magic both from a position some distance away and at a person not actually in your line of view was not a recipe for success. A quick dive followed by a roll was enough to take Lux out of harm's way.

I suppose that explains which side the Litch is on.

As he rose to his feet he noticed a trio of rather unsightly beasts come around the corner of a nearby building. It was not exactly a massive leap of logic to say that these were from the same person who had just attacked him and raised the dome in the first place.

"Light Make: Floor."

At these words the entire street was covered in a thin layer of light, emanating out from the light mage. Then at a thought from it's master and before the ghouls could react, the light beneath their feet sprang up around their lower legs. The purifying holy element woven into the spell already working it's way through the tough armor.

Ferrin Astra

Half of the people there seemed hell-bent on killing Ferrin, and they hadn't even got to know him first. THEN they probably would want to kill him. Or strangle him...then kill him. "Hey, Ferrin said to no one in particular. "I went trough all the trouble of a flashy entrance, and not a one of you even seem to care. How typical." Ferrin immediately noticed that the hole he had so gratiously made in the dome had been rudely repaired. On top of that, some cliche villan popped up, and spouted some nonsense (which Ferrin filed away) before doing what typical villans do, summon up some half-assed minions and running for their life. However, in doing so, Ferrin felt the magic, and it seemed identical to the one that lead him here...not to mention the smaller copies of the shadow beast seemed like a dead giveaway.

However, one of the mages suddenly acted, kicking another, and raising some undead. Ferrin immediately recognized necromancy, which also explained the bone dome. This was backed by his manipulation of the substance. (Another dead giveaway, badump-ching) He shook his head to clear his thoughts. This is no time for levity. He was in danger, and he had to act fast.

However, suddenly Ferrin found himself rooted to the ground. His breathing sped up, and he had trouble thinking straight. What...what the...what the hell? He felt trapped, and claustrophobic. The big monster cam roaring at him, whitch jolted Ferrin into motion. He hurredly lept to the side, narrowly avoiding the spike that he didn't see coming from his back. Whats wrong with me? He thought. Then, it came to him. It was just like that time... Then, too it smelled of damp, and rot, with undead coming at him, covered in shadow... Then, he was trapped, unable to move, unable to speak, unable to think...he fell into darkness, and lost everything he knew.

Ferrin broke out in cold sweat. "Dammit, dammit, dammit, I rule my fears, they don't rule me!" He shouted. But his body was unconvinced. The corpses were coming in fast, and the shadow beasts where closing in too. Ferrin thew out his Gauntlet, gesturing toward the shadow beasts. "Illumina!" He exclaimed. A blast of light flew toward each of the the beasts, and burst on contact, dissolving them. With the shadow beasts gone, Ferrin and the other mage was able to focuse on the corpses.

Doing his best to ignore his sudden, irrational fear, Ferrin ran toward the biggest one. Summoning his concentration, Ferrin shouted "Requip!" and Shiden EX, his sword, appeared in his hand. The monster roared and took a swipe at him. Ferrin remembered that night, and hesitated, for just a moment, and that cost him. The thing's arm hit him, like a truck and he was flung against the wall of the dome. His spell-lined coat protected him from most of the physical impact, and prevented the claws from piercing him, but it still hurt like hell.

The shock and pain helped jolt Ferrin out of the past, and summoning up his magic, he put his fear to good use in a spell. Fortunately, the other mage lent a hand by slowing them down and hurting them with his light magic, giving Ferrin time to recover his wits. He took a step forward, and wheezed "Sword magic: Flare." The blade of his sword turned red and orange, then combusted. Flames sprung to life and danced along its length, in a beautiful display, also having the side effect of lighting up the area around him. The two corpses charged, thinking their prey was cornered.

But Ferrin was done playing around.

His face, a calm, expressionless mask, eerily void of the passion it usualy showed, Ferrin ran forward to meet them. The smaller one reached for him, but Ferrin gracefully sidestepped, spun and in the same motion, swepped his sword up. The thing's arm flew off, and the smell of cauterized flesh filled the air. Ferrin's next stroke came from behind it, and severed the ghoul's top from it's body. From bitter experience, Ferrin knew the durablity of creatures like that, so he didn't let his guard down as the top half tried to claw him. Ferrin stepped back, out of the range of it's flailing arms, and dispached it by thrusting his firebrand into its head, setting it ablaze, and ending it's unlife. The big one was still coming, and Ferrin oriented on it. He ran to meet it, sword held out, and parallel to the ground with the flames trailing behind it. His next attack would be similar to the smallar one, he would wait for it to attack, counter, and then dispach it.
