@KazeXDZ I sorta like him, however why does he have spells? Also, he is a werewolf, which is awesome, however this isn't reflected at all in his character. He fights with a sword, and he is a Mage, that doesn't sound like a werewolf to me. It's like you just threw it in there for the sake of having something else there.

I don't like that he is both such a heavy Mage and a warrior that fights with a sword. It kinda feels like he is all of the place, which was a big problem I had with the last character.

@IcePezz, in defense of @KazeXDZ, most of those are indeed cantrips and pulled from what seems to be the cleric and wizard listing for 0th level spells. No less, while trained in a longsword I am under the impression the character in question is not considered an expert or a master at it - just competent enough to defend themselves and actually fight with the weapon.

I cannot speak for the writer, but my understanding is, is that his strong suit is the reality that he is a werewolf. Depending on the canon as well, there are indeed good elven born werewolves, both natural and afflicted. I think it is more just an issue of lack of specificity than a question of power, but this is my opinion.

While I can't say everything myself, I can say, as far as I know, THoF speaks true.

@The Fated FallenFenris?

The url for the image is "i41.photobucket.com/albums/e278/E-L-L-..Fenris_2d_fan_art_male_portrait_elf_fantasy_picture_image_digital_art.jpg"

He's a companion from Dragon Age 2, an ex-slave with a vengeance. He was branded with magical tatooes at a young age and has been running pretty much ever since. He's dubbed 'Broody' as a nickname from one of the other characters, which he never argues with

Not saying they're the same character, it was just a surprise to see a picture of him

The Harbinger, if you wish to shorten it. I prefer not to be an acronym whenever I have the option.

But I digress to the matter at hand, in that I just felt it was a noteworthy observation.

@KazeXDZ; he's a bit too general. I'd emphasize swordsmen, mage or werewolf part. Judging from the list of spells I would go the freelance mage route and have the other two be on the side, but you can switch up that equation as you like.

Open/close, minor tricks, mage hand, arguably daze can be merged into a single spell covering telekinesis as they are rather similar, just different forms of the same thing.

Message, ghost sounds, touch of fatigue can be put into a category as well that's more general due to their nature.

Some of the other spells strike me as random for the character, like acid splash compared to the above, or mending that has a fine line of difference from the above as well. Not going to put a no on them, but I will say that they are a bit pulled out and pasted to simply compose a list of spells without a particular specialization, which is ultimately more powerful than one who takes spells from various possibly related categories.

I think that@KazeXDZ's character has a lot of potential. And I will say that most of my issues with the character have to do with him not being complete.

As far as lore goes, this is not a d&d rp, and unfortunately, I don't know much of the lore that you're going with. Regarding What Arena and I have, I don't believe it was something that Arena and I had touched upon, but we can certainly build upon it for this case. But for now, the notion of 'good elven born werewolves' do not exist here. Unless Arena put something up that I didn't see.

I do agree with @ArenaSnow, there is too much about him that is random general. And to me, that makes the character lose its credibility and stability.

Lycanthropy first off, in my opinion, should not be listed as magic. It is an ability or perhaps something else, for better or worse. A curse that was inflicted upon him at a young age. This in itself should grant the character other abilities that aren't listed or reflected anywhere in the cs. Also, his personality. It certainly adds depth to the character and I love it. but it contradicts the behavior of the typical werewolf. I'm sure that it took him a while to be able to control any animalistic urges or bloodlust. I would like to see this reflected somewhere. Otherwise, it's not a very believable trait.

Secondly, his spells. I whole heartedly agree with Arena on this. But also, I'm curious as to why he has them? Why he needs them? I get that he was trained by the Mage, but why? When? How? He's already a werewolf, which should be the primary, he can use a sword. I feel like adding on spells, no matter their use or how basic they are is very random for this character. Perhaps it is because I'm not seeing him complete, but I just don't see the need or relevance to it. I think the most simplest question I can ask is what is he? They may be basic spells, but at the moment, he seems to me to be a jack of all trades, and the biggest thing that doesn't fit, is that he is a werewolf. To me, the character just doesn't make any sense.

I'd also point out the similarities between Kaze's and Harbinger's characters:
Sakaala: Part beast, part swordsman, part mage
Elrin: Part beast, part swordsman, part mage

Its a comparison boiled down to the most basic of concepts, but its still there. Both characters are calm and intelligent, and appear very pragmatic.

Just throwing my own 2 cents in there.

@vietmyke I do see the similarities. But again, I have much more information to judge Harbinger's character, that has not only backed up but also pulled together all aspects of the character. It's not a question of the character being op. And as I had mentioned, it could be because the character is not complete, because what I'm missing is how it all ties together.

@IcePezz@ArenaSnowI'll talk to Kaze sometime and try to help him with it. Also, Rokku was thinking about rejoining with Lonmil and Gil since our other RP died rather quickly. He was also thinking of his "Argonian" named Rokk Tuthe.

Lets keep the player limit in mind, folks.

Edit: Also, as we're already at the player limit... any new CS must be at a "wow" level. It can't have many flaws and must be above average and above the standards of the last RP.

@IcePezz@ArenaSnowI've been working on my CS with Bel but we're taking a break for now. Might have it done later, might be a couple more days. For now, though, is it better?
