If this gets accepted, it would be the first proper mage, instead of a third rate hack lol.

To be fair, there shouldn't be any first-rate magi competing in the war. Japan's an irrelevant country and the thought of them having anything worthwhile is laughable to just about everyone. Kayneth coming there so that he could wreck everyone and have some fun was the equivalent of an Oscar-winner competing in your high school talent show to laugh at how stupid all the kids are.

Well, there's always that little bit about doing that for the lulz, that we gotta appreciate.

For some reason I'm feeling that Seyrun will have a big chance of ending like Kayneth but... At least there'll be no one with a ridiculously OP Mystic Code to wreck her from the inside out. That's already something.

Alright, I nerfed Parameters and magic resist. Fixed the last NP so that the range is 1-30. Also changed Anti-Populace to Anti-Army.

In regards to military tactic: War was different between the time of Alexander the Great and the time of Andrew Jackson. Alexander the Great, in addition to simply inheriting the world's greatest army at the time, fought with numbers against other, smaller groups who had used similar formations. I'm not saying Alexander the Great was a bad general, but it was certainly far easier for him as a general. Compared to Andrew Jackson during a time right before the civil war. Firearms were definitely invented, but small arms were still very primitive. Relative to other world powers, namely the European powers, the US had a very small army and barely any navy. The US was, in addition, a very young nation compared to Ancient Greece by the time of Alexander the Great.

In regards to Specie Circular: How does the word of God translate into a battering ram? The cane comes from a popular political cartoon depicting Jackson fending off a hydra (the bank) using a cane. The tracking and stopping of attacks is symbolic, representing the ability to handle all the heads of the banking hydra.

You haven't changed MAN to D or LCK to B.

C rank MR is still too high for someone with his recency, unless you want to argue that he was exposed to magi. It should probably be D.

There is no canon Servant that has A rank Military Tactics. Neither Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun, Julius Caesar, nor Oda Nobunaga have it; they all have B. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Jackson was bad, but I am saying that he doesn't deserve the highest rank in the skill that we've ever seen, especially considering the people that would put him above.

The problem with Specie Circular is that it's too far reaching. Noble Phantasms are crystallizations of feat and can function symbolically, but even in a case where they're doing that, it doesn't generate such a disjunct to where "I stopped a bank" is able to turn into "I have an item that seeks out and moves to stop any antagonistic interference". It makes even less sense since its an action of the cane to defend Jackson and not an action of Jackson himself.

Besides that, Jackson is really not someone who should be getting a second Noble Phantasm in Japan. He's a recent Heroic Spirit who's necessarily low in mystery, and he's about as far out of his Staging Ground as it gets. I'm not utilizing a codified fame system since those things are hell, nor am I banning Servants that have access to guns on face, but that makes me even more hesitant to accept a pretty heavily wanked NP than I would otherwise because I'm already granting leeway.

Alright. Parameters was my bad.

Military tactics was nerfed and I took out Specie Circular.

Small arms weren't that strong compared to modern day small arms. They were fatal at the time more due to lack of medical knowledge. Even now, battles are won more with heavy artillery than measly rifles. In the 19th century, you were more prone to dying of gangrene after getting shot.

Alrighty, thanks. Just change the Magic Resistance description to the right one (Cancels Single-Action spells. Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy.) and then you're approved.

And with Turbo finishing up Berserker, that should cover all the Servants. Now we need the Masters.
I've scrapped mine so I'll just be playing Tama-chan.

@Zobozun

This being the third Master app with guns makes me incredibly tempted to ban guns for Masters because frankly it shouldn't be a thing. Instead I think I'll just attach a penalty to it to be imposed in-character, should the Church Overseer catch anyone using them.

No safehouses, everyone comes into Fuyuki with the same prep, which is to say zero.

I forgot to mention this before, but homunculi won't have magic crests unless a magus is a weirdo who used his family's genes to make them and also treats the homunculus as a successor. So yeah.

This isn't relevant yet, but will this start after the Servants are summoned, or does that get RPed out?

Your first Master-post should be the summoning of the Servant.

I mean, you could always walk around in Fuyuki for a few posts without summoning your Servant, but that's basically screaming "hey someone who's summoned their Servant please come kill me".

He doesn't have any guns though, just training with them. A GAZ is a type of car.
Besides, if anyone is going to have training with firearms, I'd say it's the unhinged Russian kill-golem.
Also I was under the impression one couldn't cast magic without a crest but if not then alright.

Whoops, I read GAU because I'm blind sometimes.

Crests aren't Circuits. Or rather, all Crests are Circuits but not all Circuits are Crests. Refer to this:

Magic Circuit
Magic Circuits are the pseudo-nerves that a magus has inside himself. These are paths that generate magic energy and access the magic foundation engraved in the world. Magi make magic energy with the magic circuits and use the magic energy to run the magic foundation and thus put magecraft into effect. To do either of these, the magic circuits are necessary.

Magic Crest
The product of stamping the anchored mystery that a magus had spent his entire life building up. Can be said to be mystical inheritance that defines the magus line as a magus line. While the inheritor is young, it is necessary to implant this little at a time while at the same time having the body adjust to the magic crest by medicine and rituals. The magic association also has technology for extracting just the magic crest from the body and storing it.

Just so everyone knows where we stand currently:

All Servants have been set; @Turboshitter's Berserker was approved in PMs but he hasn't posted it yet.

We have two Masters approved. @KoL and @Turboshitter are working on Masters (@Black Alice is as well), but besides that we need two more.

So, @vFear, @Hantu Kongkek, @Noxx, @Moonman, and @Flamelord, if any of you want to app a Master then feel free. Newcomers are also welcome to do so!

I haven't heard from @Scrapula or @Hinsek since they posted their first apps, so if either of you will be joining then do let me know~

Name/Title: Erasmus Tormod

Gender: Male

Age: 55

Personality: Erasmus is a traditionalist mage who's coming to terms with the idea of his own mortality after the death of his wife of thirty years in a car accident. As such, he's decided to make the best of the time he has left, spending as much of it as he can with his grandkids and trying new things. He's gotten a crash course in the modern world, always trying to get more time for his grandkids and hobbies. As he likes to say: "50 is the new 30."

Appearance: Hrmph.

Biography: Again, born to a long line of Runic mages dating back to the Vikings, the Tormod family has always been wealthy. Erasmus was raised in the traditions of magecraft. Eventually, he married, had kids, and then they had grandkids. His wife was killed returning from the airport to drop the children off for summer camp, which lead Erasmus to worry about what would happen to his grandchildren when he was gone. His plan is to use the Grail for something most Mages would find insultingly mundane- to ensure his grandchildren will be secure long after he passes. He's traveled halfway around the world in search of a grail war with few experienced maguses with no catalysts. Unfortunately, he's not much better off on the catalyst front- the gold coin from Beowulf's treasure horde got lost in the basement back at his mansion. The scales from Jormangundr were swept up by the maid. The hammer of Albericht, the legendary dwarven blacksmith, was also taken. He's just got to take what he can get.

Family History (if applicable): Nothing really notable, aside from Erasmus's ancestors using their magic to strike it rich.

Origin: Construction

Elemental Affinity: Earth

Number of Magic Circuits: A

Quality of Magic Circuits: C

Od: A

Magecraft: Erasmus's family has been practicing Rune Magic since the days of the Vikings. He has a large number of mid-level magic circuits, meaning he can cast spells in rapid succession. As such, he knows how to draw the runes from memory and is capable of doing so in the heat of battle. Of course, one of the main issues with using Rune Magic in combat is finding a way around the range problem... which he claims to have done with help from his grandkids.

Equipment: Dozens of branding irons, chalk, a hammer and chisel, plate mail, a switchblade, a laser pointer, a Honda Jump-Z, a bottomless quiver, and a magic bow. The bow is carved from branches of the world tree, Yggdrasil, and engraved with dozens of runes- chief among them "Journey" and "Home," meaning that projectiles fired from this bow have no dropoff or deviation from their initial course- allowing the arrows to travel for days if nothing is in their path.

Skills: While Erasmus is in far better shape than he has any right to be at his age, he's still a 55 year old man and tires out quickly. However, he's also a SCA enthusiast, wielding swords, bows, and rapiers with ease as part of his regular Renaissance Fair attendance.

My Master will get a revision as soon as I'm back home, or tomorrow morning at most. Just one question, how will we determine which Servant everyone is gonna summon, at random or simply by pointing and calling?
