Alia and Astrid can definitely still get to know one another!! Also thanks so much I'm glad everyone is appreciating Aila she was a labour of love for me!
So here is some lore on Trolls, it's probably trash because I'm half delirious so.....yeah. I think I'm going to go to bed for real this time.
Trolls Thought to be the "Anti-Fae" by those who know enough of them and rightly so. While the Fae are usually small, Trolls are large. Fae are beautiful, Trolls are rugged. Iron can kill a Fae, A Troll can work wonders. These differences mask a fundamental similarity, both are not from this dimension or at least, not originally. All Trolls can trace back their lineage to the Jötnar, giant beings who would hash it out with....something. The legends aren't clear, especially now with extinction on the horizon. What is important is that Trolls carry that otherworldly blood within them, their birthright. This blood gives them a strength, life, and the power to Forge. The biggest difference between Fae and Troll is their mastery over magic, while the Fae can use their power freely, Trolls can only Forge. To imbue magic into the things they craft, making sword lighter than air, a goblet that never spills, or a necklace more beautiful than the stars themselves.
Trolls, once settled down in this world, began to disagree on how to live and eventually becoming Forest Trolls and Mountain Trolls.
Forest Trolls prefer to be left alone as hermits, leaving into the deep woods of old to live lives of solitude. Because of this they never mingled with the blood of man, keeping their great size, strength, and large noses. Forest trolls tend to be more aggressive towards humans, finding them to be annoying at best and vermin at worst. Their generally foul behavior has ensured their numbers to remain small, in fact it isn't known how many are still alive...if any.
Mountain Trolls decided that the best course of action was to stay together, colonizing mountains before they encountered man. At some point in time they "mingled with the blood of man" and become, well, more man like. This made them physically weaker and smaller than their Forest Troll cousins but graced them with more human-like appearances and a knack for innovation unheard of before. However the kingdom fell, treachery and a great curse felled the Mountain Troll kingdom and only one is known to have survived.
Strengths: Physical strength much greater than that of man, immortality "As long stone stands", and the ability to Forge or mix magic into metal.
Weaknesses: Decades long pregnancies, decimated population, extinction on the way, joints stiffen when exposed to sunlight without constant movement
Oof. The whole pity thing makes sense, then. I'm guessing the abandoned buildings that he frequents probably has drug addicts hanging around them then, right?
Anyone eyeing another person's char? See any two people you want to see together? ;D I know my ships, but I'm curious about everyone else's!
I'm like super late with my shippy news because I was sleeping but it doesn't even matter anyway cus I don't see Cara being shipped with anyone just yet lol
Also, @HalfOfLancelot A+ choice for Cara's song it was pretty much what I had in mind as I was writing her out LOL
