@Inkd Bull I made her 18 now and added a personalety.
also I would like to mention that english is NOT my native language ( and I don't know how much u all care about grammer(( I left a rp because of bitching about minor grammer mistakes))
soo please forgive some minor grammer mistakes. ^^
I'm wondering if groups should form based on ability, or based on how the characters interact?
I'm thinking it'd be a combination of both, maybe? I'm not sure who'd be choosing the members of teams in-universe (I'd guess teachers, though), but to make strong groups that work well together to minimize the risk of failures and injuries, both aspects would need to be taken into account.
@Ojo chan 42 If you don't mind my asking (I'm a very curious person, if it annoys feel free to let me know) but what is your native language? You seem to have a good grasp on English, don't worry yourself too much!!! Where I am from, not even the kids who had grownup in American schools their entire lives, and consequently never spoke any other language, could write half as good as some non-native speakers I am friends with.
@Cenco Hmmm, good point. I guess I wasn't thinking clearly, I was imagining the students picking their groups but I can see that having disastrous, if not hilarious, results. Nova and Tokala will be very please to group up with anyone, though!
@RaeoftheLight Ha, I didn't even think of them making their own groups.
I'd be okay with that too, and in that case I think the teams would pretty much be made up of those that get along best. It'd have interesting results, at the very least.
@sakurasan I'm really sorry, but... Bishamon. I approve.
@Inkd Bull What was I going to ask... Ah, that's it. How are our characters going to get to this school? How are they going to find out, be contacted? Are they contacted through the guardian, or something else? Do the guardians even know about the school?
Sorry for the onslaught of questions! I just wanted this to be clarified.

I think it's listed in the first post; you could get a letter, be met in person, or any plethora of other ways so long as you are informed (by the school or a representative of the school) that you're invited to attend. That work?
Appearance after Soul Link: Parts of his body are stripped of flesh and reveal bones. The severity of this depends on how well synchronisied the soul link is and increases when he uses his abilities, up to the point where he's mostly skeleton - at which point he normally passes out from physical shock. Once the link to his guardian is reasonably stable, this usually manifests as his arms being "bare bones".
Personality: He's a quirky, cheeky little bastard who isn't afraid of nothing, has a tendency to do reckless things and overestimate himself, and loves to brag. Despite his mischievous nature, he's a good person at heart and doesn't enjoy harming others. He's a bit of a charmer, but in a rather careless way that tends to rub guys the wrong way. He's quick to declare friendship or dislike based on first impressions.
Other: He doesn't exactly like his guardian, or using the powers their soul link provides. In fact, he hates how their connection can -only- be used to inflict serious damage upon others, and wishes he had gotten a guardian/abilities that can be used for a good cause instead. And he spends a lot of effort to make everyone aware how unhappy he is about it and that he blames his guardian.
Corona
True Form:
Class: Caster
Magic: Decay (100%)
Entropic Necrosis Corona's "main" power is the ability to accellerate the soul of a victim. When this happens, the target literally decays in mere moments, it's cells age much faster than normal and even break apart until the target dissolves into a fine dust. Since the attack directly attacks the soul of the victim, it even affects incorporeal beings. While it is not entirely useless against something strictly inanimate, the effect is vastly diminished. Entropic Necrosis requires the user to "tag" the target, by physically touching it with the intent of "tagging" the victim. This links Corona and her target until the victim perishes, or a until new tag is established. The Necrosis effect needs to be "channeled" and becomes faster and more powerful the longer this channel lasts, but prevents Corona from attacking in any other way. Physical impacts can interrupt the channel temporarily (and thus slow down the decay), but it is impossible to remove the tag. Channeling does not make Corona immobile, does not require line of sight and is not restricted by range. A negative side-effect of the Necrosis is the fact that it rends the flesh of the user as well. This effect is generally the strongest in the body region that is used to channel the spell (usually the hands/arms), but it also randomly affects the rest of the body and dissolves organic tissue, causing greater agony the longer it is used. This effect does not damage the users bones, however. Due to Entropic Regeneration, the human linked with Corona is able to endure this pain and stay alive, but once the majority of their own tissue is destroyed, even the most resilient caster will pass out from physical shock.
Entropic Blast Corona is able to "blow up" tissue of her partner's body, by drastically accellerating a part of their soul and causing the associated body part to explode. To prevent passing out of the host, this can only be used on arms or legs. The explosion can be used to push back dangerous opponents or to propel the body in a chosen direction. The explosion does not damage the users bones and can tag targets for Necrosis. Obviously, it is also quite painful.
Entropic Regeneration/Siphon This is what allows Corona's partners to survive the process of using Necrosis or Blast. It continually regenerates the body of the user, siphoning the soul energy of the victim to fuel the restoration effect. This regeneration weaves strings of Coronas soul into the body whenever it is first used on a partner, so that their exposed bones hold together and continue to function like normal limbs. Naturally, the effect is greatly accellerated when Corona is currently using Necrosis, but even when she is not using that power, her soul will slowly draw minor amounts of soul energy from all available sources in her vicinity to provide a slow regenerative effect at all times. While this passive drain goes unnoticed most of the time, physically weak subjects may feel minor side effects after prolonged exposure.
Personality: Corona is a dominant guardian that often pushes her agenda upon her partners. Frequently even threatens to blow their heads off if they don't comply. In other words, she's not the kind of guardian you'd want to have. She has a rather stoic and calculating character. Although she is not uninterested in humans in general and almost excited to see how her partners and other linked humans are coping, she makes sure to appear disinterested and efficient in front of her soul link. While she resents Sam's rebellion against her reign, she likes him more than most of her former partners and often goes easy on him with the physical and mental strain. Due to her unsettling appearance she doesn't get a lot of chances for small talk with other humans though, which has shifted her demeanor around other linked humans towards being more reserved and distant. When linked with a partner, Corona likes to take control fully and leave her partners out of the equation. However, since the link is an act of balance, Sam has the power to take control back. He doesn't exert this power all too often though, as he's not really aware of this (and Corona conveniently avoids mentioning it).
Right, this is it. I'm not entirely satisfied so I might add some polish afterwards. Please give me some feedback about the abilities, whether they're too strong/unfitting or what have you, and the characters in general. I'll adjust them where necessary.
@Traitor So what happens if someone is healing Sam while he uses Entropic Necrosis?
He would most likely not have his skin dissolve but still go through the same amount of pain, because it would still dissolve, just reform faster. It could prevent him from going into shock-coma!
...on second thought, this could even heal the target of Necrosis. Or slow down the damage done, at least. Depends on what is stronger, the healing or the Necrosis... That would certainly be interesting.
Super excited for this. I cannot wait to see the interactions between the characters and their Guardians! Ooooooh I can't wait for this to start, the hype is real.
