Eh, Spence is a gentleman, he'll keep his eyes and hands to himself no matter who he rooms with ha! With his crazy hours at the hospital, might not see much of him at all anyway, since he's always on call. That'll create some tension if he's having a connection with someone and... oh, the hospital is calling.

My idea for Alexei is that it's likely he's the newest member of the group. It's possible he worked/works for the same office/workplace as one of the others, and they introduced the rest to him. I'm open for suggestions on who this might be.

As for the rooming situation, I think Anastasia would do well with either a guy or a girl. She's not one to shy away from a shared living arrangement (especially due to her money issues) ;p

Any ideas on who would be the most understanding of Anastasias career?

Preferably a character who would either support it, or is stable enough financially to support her.

If male, then someone whos comfortable with rooming with a female and someone laid back enough to empathise with her modelling struggles.

Max could definitely help her with some financial support and wouldn't mind sharing a room with her.

Spence- I feel like Johanna and Spence would have known Spence in high school or something and she'd have a little insider source to what happened during that time. Sees him as an older brother, and is protective of him every time someone gets friendly with him. Maybe their mom's both worked together?

This! I really like this and then we'd have someone in the group that would understand Spence on a deeper level and help him when he gets in those slump days of his... so yeah, I fully approve. And of course he'll see Johanna as a little sister and be equally as protective. Hmm, or maybe Johanna was visiting a friend during freshman year of high school at the apartment complex he lived in and he ran in to her, thought she was cute, so he started talking to her and they became friends (though, they could have lost contact once Spence got expelled) but when he came back, she tried to be his friend but he kind of shut her out. Then they met again in this apartment complex (it's a circle, cute, right?) and Spence apologized and they reconnected. Yes, that I like a lot.

Avery - I struggle with this one. I love the character. I think it's one of those relationships where on the surface they seem like complete opposites, but as they get to know each other they realize that the other isn't that bad.... Maybe they just know each other through everyone else? Totally open to you!

I completely agree. Perhaps, at first, they're pretty wary of each other, being so different, but then as time passes they come to realise they get along just grandly. I was actually planning on Avwry being a secretly-huge fan of Star Wars, so maybe they could bond over that once discovered?

Avery- My liddle baby :( I can see Johanna sticking up for your character and like being like "SHUTUP, YOURE AMAZING. YOU GOT THIS" Their personalities are so vastly different but that doesn't mean they can't be friends. I can see them balancing each other out to be honest. Johanna would spoil her a lot in affection and encouragement. I can see her having some of Avery's photographs on the walls of her room.

Yasssss...I feel like Avery would adore Johanna. Normally, she's the type of girl she would avoid, but your character is just so lovable it would be hard to stay away. I like the idea of them balancing each other out, especially seeing as most of the other girls are outgoing rather than withdrawn like Avery is, so perhaps they can find some common ground. Like when Johanna is making a huge drama out of something small (pretty much me tbh), Avery could be the one that could calm her down, and in return Johanna could help Avery look on the positive side of things, I see her bubbly-ness rubbing off on her.

After some thinking, since Johanna seems to be the type of person to know a lot of people, maybe she tried to hook Max up with someone to see if he's really what he says he is. And after those failed attempts, maybe they got to bond over it or something. What do you think?

This is gonna be very interesting. Well since their roommates, I bet Max introduced his sister at one point or another to her. He could also act as a sort of driver to her if she needs it.

Ideas on Rafe's relationships with the rest of the cast:

Avery- I can see Rafe really liking when Avery shows her strength and in a way probably really looks up to her for that strength. Since he's naturally really calm and collected, I could possibly see him attempting to help when she has a panic attack? Either way, I could definitely see them as friends who probably met through one of the others.

Max- Max and Rafe's personalities would probably clash somewhat with Max being more reserved and Rafe being more than a little too detached from reality. I don't think they'd exactly be enemies, but I could see their personalities sometimes grating on each other but still being friends to begin with on a fundamental level, I think?

Alexei- You mentioned that maybe he met the group through working as IT at someone's job for a bit? Maybe he worked at the law firm Rafe works at as IT and Rafe invited him out for a few drinks and they hit it off? Just a thought.

Johanna- I agree that Rafe and Johanna probably hang as drinking buddies every once in a while. I also think Rafe trying to help with Johanna's divorce or even tried to find connections to get her a good lawyer during it might be an interesting dynamic.

Matt- Good friends. I'm definitely game for them meeting at a bar and originally disliking each other but now are really close. I could see Rafe really enjoying listening to Matt talk about his interests and maybe even getting into a couple of them just to see why Matt likes them so much. Possibly roommates if you think that'd work?

Anastasia- I could see Rafe and Anastasia's friendship to be incredibly back and forth. Since they're both sharp-tongued (although I'm betting Anastasia's way better at remarks than Rafe is) they probably snark at each other every once in a while, but I could also see Rafe glad that Anastasia takes up the mediator role in the group. Maybe somewhere between acquaintance and friends?

Luci- I could see Rafe really supporting Luci's party hardy lifestyle, thinking that no one should make themselves constantly into all-work, no play. He'd probably be totally confused about anything she says about engineering since he's really book dumb which could cause for some funny interactions. Maybe met during college?

Marcie- I could see them in a slightly bickering but friendly dynamic? Like on one hand, I could see Rafe pointing out the whole "Why are you a butcher but you never eat meat??" situation often, but at the same time often inviting her out to social drinking in hopes that she would hit it off with a girl there (or find an casting director, even though Rafe's probably too dim to realize that's a bad place to look).

Spencer- Rafe would be absolutely in love with Pepper and would be constantly trying to find excuses to play with her. They both came from middle class/lower middle class, so I could see them both understanding the value of the dollar and kinda bonding over that. They'd probably be the two working extremely hard to pay Max's loan back?

Aha, Spence would totally share the puppy love with everyone! He might even let Rafe puppy-sit if he asks sweetly enough. But, yeah, I can see them bonding over the importance of a dollar to them. I don't know if Spence would have taken a loan from Max, since I feel like he's the type who would rather struggle and make it himself than ask for help, but maybe he had to get a down payment on the apartment, or he sort of splurged by accident with one of his first checks because money and he isn't used to that and needed to borrow some money for that month's rent. Lol, I like that, so yeah, they can both be the busy, hard-working bees that buzz at each other a lot. I'll stop being lazy and put up my own ideas sometime... if not later tonight, then tomorrow, because I have chores I really, really gotta do.
