"I would have been a singing or acting major if I didn't already know I would hate all the bitches and obtain the burden of being the unachievable standard."
║ Name ║Alexandria Ellie Novak
║ Acceptable Nicknames ║Alex, Ellie, Elle, Novak
║ Birthday & Age ║04.04.1998 (XVIII)
║ Gender & Sexual Orientation ║Female || Heterosexual
║ Occupation ║Part-time, small time model || Currently not taking any jobs
║ Appearance ║Ironically, the first thing noticeable about Alex is how normal she looks. Okay, so maybe not like an average person, but compared to most art students she would definitely be considered normal. Considered incredibly pretty by most and society, it's unfortunate someone so dependent on compliments and attention was placed in an environment where no one sees anything special about her. Majority of the students aren't usually interested in Alex, at least physically, because they find her boring; she doesn't have crazy, colorful hair or a whacked out, "independent" fashion sense.
Maybe it's just how her genetics worked out or people are wrong for saying beauty is skin deep while ugly is bone deep, but from first look, Alex looks unfriendly and judgmental no matter what her expression is. Even when she smiles, it feels very deceitful or cruel. However, she was lucky enough to be born with many of the features deemed very desirable such as a fine nose that comes to small point and a small body. Despite that, she obtained thin lips rather than pumped up ones and fell a little short of the necessary height to qualify as an official supermodel. But she doesn't let her natural fortune make her lazy; whenever Alex is notified of or takes on an upcoming modelling job, she'll become anorexic until then, wanting to impress any potential big time recruiters that might be there rather than to look even better for the photos being taken.
Alex is rarely found without makeup on and usually furrows her defined brow or widens her green eyes in incredulity when interacting with others in judgment or sarcastic retort. She has long, wavy tendrils of light brown hair that frame her sharply featured face and fall around her small shoulders that contrast nicely with her pale complexion. As far as style goes, Alex is always in the loop of the latest trends happening in the fashion world and will immediately go out and buy the necessary items to "complete" her never satisfied closet. You'll have to teach if you can't do. As far as marks on her body, she rarely has any since modelling regards only perfect bodies. She doesn't have any tattoos that she's sure she would eventually regret (if not for the meaning or look then definitely when her skin starts to sag with age) and keeps it simple with two pierced lobes. However, she does have a certain affinity for jewelry.
║ Personality ║ The Positive:
- Passionate - Despite not really know what she wants to do with her life or having a clear plan in front of her, Alex still has somewhat of a goal, and although it might not be constantly present in her mind, she recognizes that going to Mortimer is an essential part to achieving that purpose and strives to do her best for it every chance she gets. A very live-in-the-moment type of person, the brunette tries to make the most out of each instance to what she thinks is best, whether it be for her or for her beloved.
- Caring - Love is a difficult concept to open up to for Alex. She believes that's since she's the epitome of normal and isn't concerned with helping others first, that's the way majority of people are and therefore can't leave herself to become that vulnerable. Plus, she figures it's easier to not get attached when everyone always leaves whether it be voluntarily or not. However, when she does begin to make an intimate, emotional connection with somebody, her forefront of selfishness is pushed away for the other's regard and all she has left is compassion, sympathy, and thought for their well being. Although it's rare, this girl could love someone with everything she has, even if she's not good at showing it.
- Resourceful - Some people might consider this to be a negative attribute to which Alex would respond to with that they're idealists. Despite not being the deepest or putting much forethought in their life, Alex is still a realist who realizes that life isn't fair and a fighting struggle in whatever realm you're placed in. In order to survive, you must know how and to do so.
The Negative:
- Naive - It's not difficult for someone observant to conclude that Alex is easily impressionable. She'll believe anything as long as the salesperson exudes confidence in what they're saying since she's too focused and mesmerized by the perception than the actual content.
- Manipulative - Even though it's possible to be resourceful without the negative traits, when coupled with paranoia in the form of a selfish, immature girl, manipulation and whole ton of other messy attributes come out as well.
- Selfish - This one shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone who has gotten a glimpse of any other aspect of Alex's personality. It seems like so much of her bad stems from her hardly justified, irrational distrust for others.
What You See:
A grade A bitch; a cliche, prime example of a spoiled, rich brat. People's usual first impression of Alex is a diva who's shallow and stupid. And although she may rub many people the wrong way during first impressions, there's very few people who can deny that she's an attractive girl. As far as with "creative" artists, most of them brush her off as boring and just another product of society, demeaning her worth and figuring they're better than her because they're unique. Yet in the same breath they'll judge her for being weird. She's too upfront and uncaring of other's opinions and arrogant for her own good.
What I Know:
It's not that majority of the adjectives others use to Alex aren't accurate, they're just not encompassing the whole complex picture that is known as Alexandria Novak. While generally thought as negative characteristics, not many people give Alex a chance to get to know her and see her execute her traits in a positive way. They don't see that her spoiled nature can be turned into a passion because she hates losing or that her affinity for fashion has her own little taste in it that makes it hers. However, probably the hardest thing for people to try to tolerate or accept is her pushy nature which is just her unsophisticated, frustrated attempt to convey feelings that are too exhausting to dissect.

║ My Dreams ║To find someone who'll always stick through with her no matter how self-destructive or unlikable she's being during that time
║ Fears ║
- Being alone - Everyone has this fear and with Alex it's only amplified much worse with her indifferent facade and guarded personality
- Aging - Growing old means a loss in beauty and a loss in beauty means a loss of interest because Alex believes that's all she's worth
║ Likes ║║ Dislikes ║
- People underestimating her

║ Brief History ║Alex came from a very routine household: only child, two working parents, casual enough friends. However, observation and a realistic perception of life made her realize that life and people are boring and terrible. Unfortunately the girl also has a yearning for the life of glamour and a strong, emotional connection to someone. So when left to her own devices, she would follow a bunch of models and celebrities and study the way they carried themselves, noticing that even if they just stood still and kept silent they were still telling everyone something about themselves with they way they looked. Falling in love with the clothes they wore and all the little things they did to make everything come together, Alex took the initiative to study fashion even though she thought it wouldn't be any more practical than for looking good. Being a big time model or actress never crossed her mind since her rational sense told her as much as she could dream and try for it, she wouldn't be able to get in.
It doesn't come as a surprise to anyone that Alex didn't do the best in school. She wasn't stupid that she couldn't understand what was being taught, it just didn't capture her interest. But that didn't mean she didn't worry about her future after high school. She knew that if she didn't go to some sort of official college, she'd be stuck doing a mundane job that she'd hate or living off her parents. Too independent for either of those options, she was struck with some luck when The Mortimer School of the Arts contacted her, advertising to apply to their school the next year after seeing that she had been credited for styling on a few of her smaller photo shoots. Working the rest of her high school career and trying to take up as many styling jobs she could get until it was time to apply, she built up her portfolio and finally had a clear goal in mind.
"Photography's bullshit. Everyone knows it's the content that makes the picture."
║ Area of Study ║Fashion Designer Major || Make Up Artist Minor
║ About My Audition ║Since Mortimer had come across some of Alex's work, she had an advantage of being able to analyze and find out what exactly they liked about her work and start constructing her future pieces to submit in her portfolio. Unfortunately since her grades weren't the best and she was modelling, the board still had to bring her in for an interview to determine if she was really committed and could survive their atmosphere. Inspiration hitting her the night before, she came dressed in the perfect mix of traditional and creative business and impressed with a type of determinism and confidence the committee only thought artists in the stereotypical sense had.

║ Extra information ║Alex is too independent to want to spend extra time with pretentious artists and be seen as an outcast any longer than she needs to, especially when she thinks there's nothing she can learn from them.
