Antediluvian Immortals
Players will take on the roles of humans or non-humans in the distant past as they search for a way to rid the world of invading incorporeal parasitic aliens known as the Dybbuk. Both magic and super-science are a real thing and players will be able to learn and master both - given enough opportunity. This will also tie into a much larger multiverse as players will either worship or have allegiance to some deity, or not. As a result of this some will end up traversing different worlds whether in the same or different universes.

It will be set around 100,000 BCE. This will likely be causal, maybe high casual. Any thought, or questions?

Name: Jarek Wilderbane
Age: 20
Allegiance: The Lords of the Outer Plane
Personality: Bold, daring, reckless, prideful
Species: Alfar
Immortal Type:Reborn
City of Origin: Lemuria
Magic Source: N/A
Skills: Swords, brawling, survival
Secondary Skills: theivery
Equipment: Short blade, knife, dried meat (three days worth), bedroll
Backstory:
Jarek Wilderbane was born to a small family in the city of Lemuria. His father, Garth, was brutal to the young boy, and at the age of ten, he had Jarek working in harder than most adults. Jarek grew bitter to his father though, as Garth would normally come home angry and violent. The abuse from Garth soon lead Jarek's mother, Malinda, to drinking heavily, and Jarek would find her passed out on the floor after he returned home from a hard day of labor in the fields.

After his twelfth birthday, Jarek became determined to flee from his family, to find a place where he could be accepted by others. He would often dream of this fantasy land, picturing kind faces gathered around a cozy fire. Soon, though, Jarek learned that escaping his life wasn't as easy as just running away. He attempted to once, but almost died on the first night. In deed, his father was angry with him, but Jarek's determination only grew after that. He spent months going over plans, stealing books to teach himself how to fend for himself. He even went so far as to teach himself how to wield a sword. His fighting style was unlike that of any normal soldier or mercenary, as he had no one to practice with, but it was still quite effective.

At nineteen years of age, Jarek was finally ready to escape. He was practically a slave to his increasingly cruel parents, and for months anger and tension had been building between him and Garth. The final straw was when Garth returned home one night, especially angry. He turned to bring that anger upon Jarek, but this time, instead of beating him, he drew a knife. Jarek defended himself, beating him back with his fists and taking the knife from his father's grasp. So much anger, so much rage was boiling through his veins that, as he saw his father laying upon the ground, he almost plunged it into his heart. Yet, he stopped himself, feeling a twinge of regret to see his father in such a state. The man had been nothing but cruel towards him, but he was still his father, and strangely, he loved him. The man, for all of his cruelness and bitterness really did seem to what what was best for his son, albeit in a twisted and harsh way. And then that moment passed and Jarek fled from his home before his father had tome to react. Jarek didn't hear the cries of his father, nor did he understand the regret that Garth felt, but even if he did, he still would have ran. Since then, Jarek has been running, not from Garth, but in search of belonging.

Anyway, hope this all fits with your RP. If not, Tell me what I could fix and I'll do it, if you like the overall character.

This looks Pretty good to be honest. But as this is the Int Check I am adding a few bits and pieces to my multiverse notes at the moment :)

@RogerD
So this is taking place in the modern era? Cause I was thinking of making some sort of scientist who uses his advanced knowledge to try and keep humanity safe. Like he uses human agents to help him fight. He would use Techno-magic. If not modern I would change him.

I figured that. I was confused about the whole Japan thing. I think I'll still do the scientist thing.
