Name: Maria Annette “Mary-Ann” Legrand

Alias: Marionette

Age: 29

Powers: Marionette is a double arm and leg amputee with state of the art cybernetic prosthetics. These limbs are superior to their flesh and blood counterparts in every way; they’re made from a durable alloy that hits as hard as a sledgehammer while also providing great endurance and flexibility. The arms and legs are filled with various metal wires and she mostly uses the former limbs for grappling; Maria can essentially shoot these spike tipped wires from holes located at the top of her wrists, letting her swing around on whatever she can connect with.

Weaknesses: Weak where her metal isn’t, Maria equates to a normal human on most of her body, and can bleed like the rest of us. A strong enough force could crush and disable her metallic limbs, and something like a sawblade or another super sharp object could cut the wires she uses. She hates when people bring up how she was before her “upgrades”, because she very much believes that as Marionette, she is vastly superior to simple old Maria.

Personality: Intelligent, obsessive, traumatized, megalomaniac, sadistic

BRIEF Bio: Maria Legrand worked in research and development for Kane Corp, owned by the enigmatic billionaire Darius Kane. She was assigned to a team that was tasked with creating improved prosthetics for injured military veterans, a project she was hoping to nab in order to build a new set of legs for her brother after he lost them in the war. The project was led by one Nathanial Bell; who was a very strange but intelligent man. The team would work long hours and in that time Maria and Bell grew very close. Mary-Ann gave out plentiful information about her life; background, interests, and even spoke of grievances, such as that one ex who just wouldn’t leave her alone. Maria didn’t seem to mind that she’d been presenting her life to Nathanial and he never seemed to offer any information in return, it seemed that his intellect was enough of a draw.

Months would pass and the team eventually crafted what was to be the future in artificial limbs. Only one thing was left, a test subject, and as project lead it was Bell’s choice on who to pick. He was given countless dossiers of military heroes that could use this technology to become productive members of society again, but Bell wasn’t interested in them. No, he wanted to “improve” his partner, and drugged Maria when she visited his home for a dinner date.

When Maria woke, she was hanging by wrist cords that extended from two metal arms she didn’t have before, and she was terrified to look down at her legs, as they felt off. From their locale, which seemed to be a theatre of some sorts, to her lab partner sitting in the front row with a grin on his face and a device in his hands, as well as what looked like her ex bound on the other side of the stage… that whole situation was a lot to take in. She still has dreams about it, about Bell telling her that he was going to make her do what she previously thought she couldn’t and get that pesky ex out of her hair. She still remembers the gleam of a knife in a palm that she couldn’t seem to open, and if she concentrates, she can hear the sound of a motor starting up above her and being forced forward by the device she hung from to face her former lover. Was it Bell that puppeteered Maria to stab her ex repeatedly, or did she do it of her own free will? She doesn’t remember that part so well, but she’ll always remember doing it, as Bell had filmed the act and projected it on the theatre screen for Maria to watch over, and over, and over. Bell left after that, saying that he would return, but he never did. Maria was found the next day by the horrified manager of the establishment, just gazing at the screen and muttering Bell’s last words over the recording before it started again, “My Marionette.”

She was found innocent for the murder but was to undergo study to observe her health and mind at an island research base owned by Kane Corp. She was studied for a year before it was decided that she could be used as a resource to further Kane Corp’s plans, and was thereby considered property of the company as she had so much of their technology keeping her standing. She was then planted with a chip that could disable her prosthetics if she crossed a line that the corporation didn’t approve of, and was shipped to New Athens to protect Darius Kane’s assets in the city.

Storylines: Escape the Clutches of Kane- Marionette hates her job and wants to ditch her captors for good.

Ringing Up Bell- Marionette wishes to reunite with her long lost lover find out why he left and what his plans are.

Pulling the Strings- Marionette wants to establish a team of some sort to pursue greater criminal ventures.

Notes: Maria is fucked up. Seriously, her mind got melted by a psychopath. She sincerely believes that Bell changed her life for the better and that she’s stronger than she ever was. That the whole situation was the little push she needed to get her to do everything she had been afraid to do before. She’s deluded. She only has the drive to fuck shit up now. She will never be able to be swayed into helping further society again. She should be imprisoned and the key should be thrown away.

Archetype: Size Manipulator

Name: Shinji Yazaki

Alias: "Sentinel"

Age: 20

Powers:

• Sentinel Suit: Shinji's Sentinel suit allows him to grow up to fifty meters tall and gain superhuman feats. The armor is powered by Shinji himself so overuse will leave him tired even to the point of fainting as signified by his mechanical Color Timer. He can carry his suit on the go, for it can merge into a folded "box", allowing him to store it in his backpack, and is great for when he needs to save the day when he isn't at home.
• Size Manipulation: Shinji can manipulate his size up to fifty meters when dealing with a giant opponent and back. He can be in this size for a very long time, up to several hours, until he either goes back to regular size manually or eventually tires out and changes automatically.
• Superhuman Strength: Shinji possess natural superhuman strength, in which he can lift objects twice his weight. He can also dent metal.
• Durability: Shinji is quite durable, more so than a regular human, and can take multiple powerful hits and still be able to fight. He can also heal from more grievous wounds and be fully healed in as little as two days. This applies to both in and out of the suit.
• Extraordinary Jumper: Shinji can leap great distances thanks to his muscle strength particularly in his legs when within the armor. He can also survive falls from heights that would kill a person.
• Focus: While Shinji's strength is his own when he fights, the suit helps him to tap into his inner potential, allowing him to do incredible feats of strength and power. In the suit, he can lift objects four times his size and can punch right through metal.
• Protection: The suit also provides Shinji with extra protection besides his own durability.
• Energy Blades: On his arms Shinji's armor is armed with energy weapons, contained blades of highly-concentrated plasma energy that he can use in several ways. The Energy Blades, being made of electrical plasma energy, are powered by Shinji's own body, so overuse can tire him. They can be used as:
  
  
  
  • Blades: Like their name suggests, the Energy Blades are blades of energy plasma that can slice through many conventional matter. He can cut through a solid stone projectile several feet thick in one swing.
  • Defense: The Energy Blades can be used to block energy attacks.
  • Acceleration: Shinji can use the Energy Blades to propel himself at incredible speeds.
  • Thrusters: As well as propelling himself forward Shinji can use them to fly through the air.
• Plasma Ray: Shinji can fire beams of plasma energy from the palms of his hands, allowing him to issue long-ranged attacks against his foes. If he combines his palms together while firing, he can fire an even large beam, with double the power.
• Ultra-Punch: Shinji can power up a very strong punch, created by plasma energy, allowing him to punch through almost anything. This, however, takes up a lot of energy and requires intense focus on the opponent. If disturbed, the attack will fail.
• Limiter: Shinji's suit is outfitted with a limiter holding back the amount of energy his suit can absorb from him, which is signified by the eyes in his helmet going red. Upon doing so Shinji receives a power boost, gaining greater strength, speed and endurance but has a limited amount of time before he is completely drained of energy.
• Mimicry System: When forced into combat and in need to protect his identity, Shinji can use this device to appeared as his armored alter ego. However, this change is in appearance only and Shinji has no access to the devices on his suit.

Weaknesses: Despite these natural enhancements, Shinji is still a regular human. As a result, he can still be killed. If he wastes all of his energy in one battle, he can faint and pass out in mid-battle, possibly even dying depending on the circumstances.

Alignment: Hero

Personality: Shinji is what many people call an average teenage person. He works at an average job, stays at an average apartment, and still goes to college. He is, however, a genius when it comes to technical situations, enough that he can modify his own power suit for battle against crime. He is also highly courageous, even when he'll be fighting a much more dangerous opponent. He is also caring towards citizens, caring for their safety, but sometimes cocky when in battle.

Bio: Shinji Yazaki was born in New Athens on February 13th. His family was quite normal for the most part, only his father, Hatsu Yazaki, being the scientist at the tech lab. He had created a suit of armor that can be used to fight crime among the city and help citizens in need. However, being too old to use the suit, he passed it on to his son, who was 17 at the time, in which he took the responsibility as a superhero. He has fought approximately 38 foes within the last 3 years since he gained this responsibility. However, needing to also concentrate on normal matters in life, he only uses the suit when it is needed the most, while trying to keep his identity a secret.

Storylines: I'm not exactly sure what specific storylines Shinji can take, but I'm thinking on giving him a rival or arch-nemesis in which to fight against. Otherwise, Sentinel can go along with almost any story you can throw at him for he is very flexible.

Name: Xi Xiu (习秀)

Alias: Gunrat

Age: 25

Powers:
-Superhuman reflexes and flexibility
-Individually focusing eyes
-Pain resistance
-Metal plating under her scalp, forearms, and shins.
-The ability to dislocate any body part/joint at will.
-Mastery of Chinese martial arts

-Note: A great deal of her power comes not from her physical ability, but from her connections to weapon-smugglers, anarchist groups, and other various factions. Her origins in China, and illegal immigration to America, means that there is no public record of her existence. As far as the government is concerned, she's a ghost.

Personality: Traumatized, Logical, Trigger-happy, Prideful, Loyal

Appearance:

Xiu is Chinese-American, 5'4", with a round, flat face, sickly pale skin, wide eyes, thin eyebrows, and a large forehead. Her head is shaved down the middle, with amber-died ponytails on either side. Her build is slim, but also very fit. She wears steel-toed boots, work jeans, and a thick leather jacket.

BRIEF Bio:
Storylines: Xiu was born the daughter of two Taiwanese political activists, who made it their goal in life to delegitimize the Chinese government, and incite civil war. When pro-Taiwan protests began breaking out around China in the 1990's, her parents were at the very front of the movement. Fearing that this civil unrest could spread, the government used military force to break up the protests, sending citizens fleeing to their homes. That night, police operatives broke into the homes of those involved in inciting the protests, including Xiu's parents. They were imprisoned, interrogated, and eventually killed, leaving her as a child of the state. Needless to say, no media sources were allowed to cover this, and the world went on completely unaware.
From early childhood, Xiu was raised by various agents of the Chinese Ministry of State Security. Their goal was to create an assassin to infiltrate the governments of Taiwan, Japan, and America giving China direct leverage over the life and death of any state officials who might stand in the country's way. Training included various mental and physical experiments and surgeries, in an attempt to make her more agile and durable than a normal human. This also necessitated that she be fluent in Chinese, Japanese, and English. Chemical and surgical treatments overclocked her brain, reinforced her muscle fibers, and replaced her joints, boosting her agility, intelligence, and flexibility beyond normal human means, but left her nervous system fried and numbed, and her personality a neurotic mess. In spite of these setbacks, her resourcefulness surpassed their expectations. As a teen, she was able to hack into the ministry's computer network, and review all of the ministry's data, including her own file. Learning of her parent's cause in full detail, and how expendable she was to the state that killed them, she decided that she owed nothing to the government that raised her. Distraught, she became uncooperative to her handlers and teachers. Before too long, it was decided that she was a lost cause, and was scheduled for execution. Learning of this, she subdued her guards, and escaped the facility.
Xiu traveled to Shanghai, where she survived for over a year by robbing street vendors and convenience stores. Eventually, she made it onto a freighter on its way to America. There she found a new purpose, modeling herself off of America's many superheroes. With the help of a couple anti-government hacker groups, she began monitoring and capturing low-level criminals, wannabe supervillains, and corrupt politicians. Unbound by the moral compass that leads most heroes, she sees herself as superior to them, and hopes to replace more traditional super-groups with her own vigilante, paramilitary organization.

Note: Will be operating not just by herself, but with her non-powered minions/sidekicks (mostly hackers and smugglers, almost always on the sidelines).

Storylines: Will initially be trying to smuggle weapons into the city, and supplant the local police force (through peaceful, but sneaky means). If interfered with, rivalries might form with either heros or villains. She's also looking for recruits into her organization.

Archetype: Demi-God

Name: Paul Bunyan

Alias: Paul Bunyan, The Maker the America

Age: Looks to be 26, actually 239

Powers: Super Strength, Super durability (Skin of Steel), Slight earth manipulation, ability to talk to Oxen.

Weaknesses: He’s not exactly smart and nor is he street smart. He often ends up in places where he isn’t meant to be. He is also surprisingly easy to outsmart or just knock out.

Personality: Proud – Idiot – doesn’t-know-his-own-strength – Kind - Funny

Appearance:

BRIEF Bio: Most people know the story of Paul Bunyan, the man who created America. Of course as of recently people have had far less pride when it comes to being an American. As such he has grown weaker of the years, though his pride has not. Throughout the years he has been watching America, as a sort of ghost for most of it though. It wasn’t until recently that he was able to take physical form again. As such he was able to take action again in hopes of cleaning up the streets and making America the Country it was meant to be, a happy mixing pot of cultures.

Storylines: Finding Babe the Ox. Babe the ox has recently turned up and is causing a mess just outside the city. Something has caused Babe to go berserk, what could it be? Who knows, maybe the spirit of another American legend.

Notes: Paul is not is giant self like he was in legends, he is however a bear of a man standing around 6 feet. Paul also normally fights with an axe that does not break, much like the axe he has in legends.

Archetype: The Insect
Name: Stuart Jones
Alias: Yellow Jacket
Age: 25
Powers: Stuart's powers come from the symbiotic primordial ooze that is within his body and also is what his costume is made out of.

High speed flight: Yellow Jacket uses large wasp wings that allow him to fly at a top speed of 300 mph. What makes him different from many other flying heroes is that his aerial maneuverability is incredible and is extremely hard to catch. Trying to knock him out of the air is like trying to swat a fly with only one hand and while his wings are not tough they will regenerate if they are destroyed.

Sting Bolt: Stuart is able to shoot sharp barbs out of his body and these stingers have a stunning effect to them when they pierce an enemy's body.

Stingers: His body makes barbs extend out of his body and have the same stunning effect of his sting bolts.

Sting Blades: Stuart creates two long stingers that he wields like swords and used almost exclusively for jabbing and thrusting in a style similiar to fencing. The Sting Blades are very sharp and can pierce metal, but they are quite vulnerable and can break easily when being used to block powerful attacks.

Superhuman senses: Stuart's sense of smell is ten times stronger than a bloodhound and thus allows him to smell things from far away. This also makes him able to fight enemies in the dark by smelling their position. His eye sight allows him to have a 360 degree field of vision, which makes it hard to sneak up on him in daylight.

Superhuman agility: Stuart is very agile and has agility greater than the agility of twelve men.

Enhanced durability: his symbiotic suit is made up of a material that is as hard as bone and allows to take powerful blows, but it cannot protect him from gunfire and extremely strong hits.

Way of The Yellow Jacket: Stuart has developed a martial art that utilizes his superhuman senses and agility to their potential and allows him battle multiple enemies is fast hand to hand combat. The martial art focuses on speed and agility instead of power, and relies on quick strikes and jabs as well as using the surrounding environment to his advantage.

Weaknesses: Insect killer is incredibly toxic to him and will severely weaken him and can kill him if exposed to too much of it. Insect repellent creates a very awful smell, to put it simply someone wearing bug spray smells like pure shit to Stuart and his superhuman senses make it almost unbearable. aside from his suit's protective armor Stuart has the same weaknesses as a human.

Personality: loyal, honest, funny, determined and paranoid.
Appearance: Stuart is about five feet and ten inches tall. He has bright red hair and dark green eyes. He has an athletic body that is fit for a martial artists. His suit is yellow and black and has a color design themed off of a Yellow Jacket insect. The suit is bio organic and has pads made of hard bone like substances.
BRIEF Bio: Stuart was never a man without fear or born with parents that had a great destiny for him. Ever since he was young Stuart had a fear of wasps after an unfortunate incident as six year old involving a wasp nest being dropped on him as a prank. The large amounts of stings caused him to be hospitalized and he developed Spheksophobia otherwise known as a fear of wasps. This fear caused him problems at school and in everyday life when it was warm and the insects were flying around.

As he grew older he had to learn to deal with his fears in order to try and live life as an adult. That's when he came across the primordial ooze. It said by some that all life came out of it eons ago and every creature on earth is connected to it. One day while hiking through the wild in his home state of Maine, Stuart came across a pool of the primordial ooze in a mysterious cave. The ooze seemed to almost call out to him and upon getting closer to inspect, the ooze reached out and latched onto Stuart. The ooze merged with him and in a panic Stuart ran out of the cave and unknowingly close to a wasps nest.

A wasp stung him and the primordial ooze inside of him reacted to it and Stuart felt himself change as he began to feel the wasp's fear and what it was like to be one. It was in that moment that Stuart understood that there was nothing to be afraid of and he finally understood the insects. The ooze was able form a biological suit and granted him incredible powers. The ooze inside became one with him like symbiot of some sort and with his new powers Stuart sought to use them for the greater good of humanity.
Storylines: his first story line will be him trying to see if he is ready for the challenge of heroics and the consequences that come with them.

Archetype: Feral Man/Woman
Name: Margaret Anne Haefield
Alias: Ghoul
Age: Looks 15 but is actually 48 years old

Powers: Super Strength, Rapid Regeneration, Bodily Manipulation, Bloodlust
Margaret’s experimentation on herself worked and her body’s limit has been vastly improved upon. Her improved strength allows her to lift and toss small cars with relative ease.
Rapid Regeneration is just how it sounds. Margaret’s body rapidly recovers wounds, disease, poison, and so forth. That’s not to say she isn’t affected by such things, quite the contrary, as Margaret feels every bit of it. Recovery for injuries can occur within minutes but can take up to 24 hours depending upon the amount and severity of injury sustained. During periods of recovery, Margaret is often noted as lethargic and tired as her regeneration saps her physical strength. Recovery for severe injuries can reduce Margaret to a sickly comatose state for a time period as her body works intensely to recover the damage done. It should also be noted that any foreign material, like shards of bullets, will have to be removed. Her regeneration has also had the uncanny effect of reversing her aging so she has reverted to appearing much younger than what she actually is.

Bodily Manipulation works in tandem with Margaret’s regeneration ability and her regeneration is crucial to her survival if she were to use her Bodily Manipulation power on herself. This power manifests itself as her being able to consciously control the formation of her own biological material. The result is that Margaret is capable of morphing her body into a weapon of bone and flesh. For example, she could manipulate the structure of her arm to form a crude blade made from her bones or she could sprout two bony fangs from her mouth. As you can imagine, her power is quite… repugnant to many.

Finally, her Bloodlust is an unconscious drive for blood. The sight of it drives her feral and her increase in aggression is directly related to just how bloody an altercation could get. Her savagery only amplifies her strength and speed as she appears to get ‘hungrier’ for blood but she doesn’t actually have to drink it. In fact, she doesn’t really need anything to sustain her at this point. She’s entirely self-sustaining.

There is an interesting interaction that happens between these of these powers. Namely, Margaret’s own conscious changes to her body will not be undone by her more unconscious regeneration, but rather, it will assist in the process greatly. As you can imagine, altering someone’s body in such a way would cause all sorts of problems like bleeding out, shock to the system and so on. However with Margaret’s regeneration, her body can readily adapt to those extreme changes without the negative impact. The only exception is that the process is still quite painful as nerves twist and turn along with the rest of her body. But the payoff from this power can be huge.
There are also some other creative strategies that Margaret utilizes. She learned that she could remove sections of her brain and plant that into a fresh human corpse in order to control the living dead. Essentially real zombies, right down to the slow shuffling feet and the need to eat living flesh. Stopping them is just how you’d expect, blow out their brains.

Weaknesses: The best strategies to take Margaret on aren’t too complex and albeit that incapacitating her is easier than killing her. She’ll still sustain damage and harm as severe wounds need time to heal. Aiming to inflict heavy damage upon Margaret could give one victory. Electricity still has an effect on Margaret and something as simple as a Taser can halt her dead in her tracks. Fire is another way to heavily impede and damage Margaret as the whole process of burning is quiet painful.

Personality: Psychotic, Childish, Cunning, Deceptive, Intelligent

BRIEF Bio:
Margaret Haefield was one of the greatest minds in the modern era for neuropathical studies. It was her work that managed to propel modern medicine into a new era as some other leading experts called it and her work was used to fight and cure many neurological diseases. However her passion was an obsession and it was noted that her labor intensive practices constantly put her health at risk as she often forewent food and sleep.
About two years ago, Margaret was working on a unique project that was supposed to stimulate the brain to increase human tissue regrowth. The end goal was to eventually be able to allow humans to cheat death naturally, but the project was doomed from the start. Various setbacks and conditions of red-tape had stagnated the project to the point where eventually Margaret was given a week to succeed or the whole thing would be canceled. Seeing as this project was also her vegetable of a husband’s last chance, she was dedicated to seeing her project through.
In the end the project was a failure but not due to the deadline. The project ended two days before then as Margaret had exposed herself to the mutagen and her body underwent violent stress before she eventually passed away. Many believed she accidently made a mistake in her sleep deprivation and exposed herself but others support that she purposely exposed herself out of desperation. Whatever the case, she had been exposed and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body hauled away and the whole project terminated.
As it turns out, Margaret ended up coming back alive but at this point she was no longer the same old Margaret. After being dead for days, Margaret had lost grip of reality and her mind, either corroded or corrupted, fell to madness.
Storylines: Margaret is in a primal lust for blood and gore at the moment. She desires nothing more than savor her unsavory appetite. However, there is a hidden motive lying among her seemingly random moves. In truth, she seeks revenge but there is a small part of her that wants her husband back, but he is no longer in his comatose state.

Archetype: Sharpshooter

Name: Astor Servius

Alias: The Reaper

Age: 31

Powers: Astor has no real powers to speak of. What he does have are the skills that he has acquired, and continue to acquire, throughout his lifetime.

⦁ Astor has spent most of his life in the military and as such has acquired a great deal of knowledge from his training, from things like interrogation techinques to bomb disposal just to name a few.

⦁ Due to his intense training regimens Astor has reached the peak physical conditioning that normal people are able to acquire. His
strength, speed, endurance, agility, and durability are all on par or above Olympic level athletes. Due to this Astor is capable of press lifting up to twice his body weight and can press lift 400lbs.

⦁ Astor is an expert in many forms of combat, from karate to Krav Maga. He continues to train in other forms of combat often times using different moves from various styles to create his own fighting technique. He combines any new fighting style he begins to study into his regimen of calisthenics and katas.

⦁ Besides hand-to-hand combat Astor is also a weapons specialist, even going so far as to learn alternative combat styles like swordsmanship and archery. Much like his hand-to-hand combat he continues to add more weapons styles to his list of abilities. He performs firing range practice on most days and on others practices in his alternative weapon styles.

⦁ Astor is also an expert tactician due to his military training and attention to detail. Armed mostly with conventional weapons he often has to rely more on strategy than strength when up against any super powered opponents. If the opportunity is available Astor will use his skills to make sure that any battlefield he is thrown into is always in his favor.

⦁ To help make up for the fact that Astor has no powers he also wears a specially made body armor. With a Kevlar plating and Kevlar weave throughout the suit he can take small arms fire with ease as well as most bladed attacks.

Weaknesses: Although he is exceptionally trained Astor is still just a normal human and is susceptible to physical injury and disease, and all other standard human weaknesses.

Alignment: Villain

Personality: Cold, Calculating, Relentless, Adaptable, Egocentric

Appearance:

BRIEF Bio: From the age of 18 Astor left home and joined the Marines, where he spent the next two years working his way up the ranks before joining the Special Forces. At 24 he was recruited to become an agent of S.T.R.I.K.E.

Over the next few years he fought side by side with super powered individuals all over the world. It was during this time that the darker side of Astor began to emerge, as he would often use brutal tactics to bring down targets, super powered or otherwise, earning him the nickname of 'The Reaper' from other members of S.T.R.I.K.E. He never revealed to any of the others but he had grown quite fond of the name. At 28 he was disavowed by S.T.R.I.K.E. after what was suppose to be a simple recon mission took a turn for the worse, with only Astor returning back alive. Afterwards, he became a mercenary, selling his skills out to the highest bidder.

At 30, he was hired to travel to New Athens to assassinate the head of Sinn Corporation, Gilgamesh Sinn. Upon preparing to finish the job as Mr. Sinn was asleep he gave Astor a counter offer he couldn't refuse. Astor instead killed his original client, some CEO of another company that was wanting to take over Sinn Corporation.

As an added bonus Mr. Sinn also delivered a prototype body armor that was developed by his company. After receiving the body armor he faked his death himself and began calling himself 'The Reaper'. For the last year he has continued to work as a mercenary and just recently moved to New Athens.

Storylines: He can be apart of whatever he needs to be apart of.

Powers: Gil has no superhuman powers or abilities, instead a prodigious intellect applicable to numerous fields, razor sharp wits and the immense resources and technology of the Sinn Corporation are his source of power. That said he's surprisingly physically fit and well-versed in martial arts on a technical level compared to the average businessman, but more for purposes of basic self-defense from a few kidnapping attempts over the years than as a serious warrior. In addition As someone who grew up around munitions makers and began his business and academic lives with weaponry he's incredibly knowledgable regarding a wide variety of modern and cutting edge weapons and he tries to remain fairly proficient in their use, though he generally disdains direct violence. Of note however is the fact that nearly his entire wardrobe of custom tailored suits is manufactured from cutting edge nanoweave fabrics resistant to burns, shocks and small arms fire.

Weaknesses: Gil remains a mortal man as physically vulnerable as any other. Also at least from his perspective he considers his affection for his elderly parents to be somewhat of a weakness his enemies might exploit.

Appearance: Gilgamesh Sinn is generally considered a fairly handsome man of about average height who wears his dark brown hair short with his face clean shaven. Being a practical businessman he generally foregoes glitzy costumes, battle armor or theatrical outfits
and instead usually hides his surprisingly muscular frame under custom tailored suits that somehow manage to whisper 'I cost more money than you'll ever see' instead of screaming 'LOOK AT ME I'M GAUDY AND FLASHY!'. Notable is the fact that he has hetero-chromatic eyes, with one being brown while the other is bright green. He's generally clean shaven and has a crooked sort of smile that usually conveys 'Sure, we both know I'm dishonest, but that's part of the fun isn't it?" when he isn't putting on his most charming facade for the public eye. Overall he believes that a well-groomed and charming appearance and unflappable demeanor are as dangerous as any other weapons on the battleground of public opinion.

BRIEF Bio: Gilgamesh Sinn grew up in a family traditionally in the line of coal mining and munitions factory work, earnest folks who still sometimes barely scraped by from day to day. Inspired to try and build a better future for himself and his family he studied and memorize everything he could possibly learn at first just regarding munitions and weaponry as inspired by his parents but later on about every subject he could get his hands on. He proved to be something of a prodigy throughout his academic career and eventually decided that money was even more powerful than the best weapon he could design and turned his mind to the business world as well.

Now he owns the factory his parents once slaved away in as just a subsidiary of the weapons manufacturing and design branch of the Sinn Corporation, headquartering itself in his hometown of New Athens. The fact that he was able to effortlessly ensure that both of them retired in comfort and luxury and raise pay and safety standards for their former workplace while still managing to increase profits was just a bonus. Already some of the Sin Corporation's inventions whether warlike or meant for everyday utilities are being compared to some of the wonders of the Museum of Tomorrow and Gilgamesh has promised to bring about A Better Tomorrow not just for New Athens but the world.

At least, that's the story he presents to the public and as far as Gil Sinn is concerned it's completely true. The part he generally leaves out of the papers includes building up his wealth as an arms manufacturer by selling discretely to many, many groups of less-than-friendly people, taking over a good portion of New Athens more mundane organized crime indirectly via supplying tactics and weapons to certain gangs of his choosing, engaging in industrial espionage and sabotage against his rivals in the business world, creating some less than ethical technology and experiments and more, all for the sake of his better tomorrow.

Storylines: I basically want him to be scheming and interacting with the other villains and heroes, creating plots of his own to further his control over the city and the world in order to increase his own power and wealth while trying to achieve his vision for New Athens and the world. He might approach a group of heroes to stop a rogue combat robot the Sinn Corporation is developing or come to them asking for protection for himself or his parents, or even offer funding and tech for the heroes to form a super group if it means gaining influence over them. Likewise he might try and make alliances with villians or thwart their schemes in order to maintain his powerbase. Overall I want to provide a villain with vast resources and plans that's also flexible enough to get involved with and interact with a number of story-lines and characters

Notes:

Polymorph physiology- Chok-Lad is capable of contorting his body into nearly any form though he tends not to go very in-depth with his transformations. He mostly uses his powers to form defences such as back spikes or open up holes and let projectiles pass through or he uses it for basic offences such as forming hammers or containing items of sentimental or useful value such as his Walkmen or rocks.

Magical- Since he was created from magic, Chok-Lad has a few extra ordinary powers. As Chok-Lad fights more he begins to heat up allowing him to scold his opponents in a drawn out fight. One other quirk of his creation is his ability to track down things with particular magical value such as wizards or artifacts. Lastly he has the capability to draw upon huge reserves of magical energy but this is pretty useless as he is literally to dumb to learn any spells.


Idiot- Chok-Lad is pretty dumb. He can’t talk very much, he can’t do math, he isn’t any kind of strategist and he is only knowledgable in survival and music.

Magical- Thanks to his artifactual creation, there are those that know how Chok-Lad ticks and this can be a huge weakness as this could be an easy way to kill or incapacitate him.



In the sixties the very successful Swedish company Choklad incorporated was on a rise as they released their newest candy bar “Chok-Lad’s triple chocolate spectacular” which displayed their now almost forgotten to the public mascot, Chok-Lad the chocolate lad. The huge amount of sales from the chocolate bar were thought to have come from the revival of the classic mascot so Steve Midas (a CEO of Choklad inc) decided that they could get their foot in the door with the family fun restaurant market and make their own kids restaurant chain with animatronic Chok-Lad’s at every location.

Right off the bat things weren’t looking good, the first store was barely making enough money to turn a profit and people were complaining about the horrible quality of the animatronics on the stage claiming it wasn’t real enough. Faced with a tough situation, the CEO’s of Choklad decided to cut their losses and scrap the restaurant idea but before the vote was passed a self proclaimed wizard came to Steve to offer his assistance. The Wizard told Steve the story of the Golem of Prague and how it had been equivalent of a magical robot which could be used to easily replace animatronics and make them obsolete. Desperate, Steve jumped at the offer and commissioned one of these golems from the man while he stalled the passing of getting rid of the store. In little more than a week the golem was done and in the board room of Choklad inc.

The CEO’s were baffled at how life like the creature looked, it was almost identical to the Chok-Lad depicted in their posters and commercials. The CEO’s agreed to commission more ‘golems’ from this supposed wizard and put one of these Chok-Lads in every store they had (which by this point was five). What the CEOs didn’t know was that these golems weren’t all that they were made out to be; they were actually chocolate sculptures brought to life with demonic energy, and once given a signal they would go on a rampage through New Athens. After a week of bringing in tons of customers, the creatures were finally given their signal and went on a rampage through the city. The living sculptures were very good at causing destruction but they were taken down pretty quickly by their own power. As the creatures continued to wreak havoc their demonic energies flared and eventually melted them into puddles which were washed away by the rain.

To cut their loses, Choklad inc fired Steve Midas and paid off most witnesses of the attack to keep their mouths shut. All seemed to be over and done with but in the coming months people began to report sightings of a creature coming out in the night and robbing deli stores leaving behind a sweet scent and sugary residue. In recent years the sightings of this creature have waned but theres still some people who say they can smell it’s sweet scent when they walk by sewage pipes that lead into the Kirby river.


Scuffle in the Sewers- Some unfortunate hero or villain finds themselves in the sewers for whatever reason and find more than just baby gators and rats.


-The ‘sweet scent near the sewage pipes’ myth is often used as a joke since most of the time it just does smell like sewage.

Powers: Mostly human physiology, enhanced vision and cognitive ability thanks to her father who is the leader of The Red Moon Cabal.. a political faction seeking to take over all of The United Planets. She trained with his warriors, who focused on cosmic awareness and alien weaponry.

BRIEF Bio: Half human, half alien. She was raised to be a warrior, and a weapon for her father. Halcyon Evohldga'ma only cares for one thing...power. He used all around him, and especially his daughter as a means to achieve this. He would send her to steal any item he thought would help him attain it, with instructions to take out anyone who got in her way. His orders became more and more devious for her. He began ordering her on missions only to take out political leaders, originally telling Luxe it was for a greater purpose and to ensure safety in The United Planets. As she got older, she realized that the quest her father was on was not a noble one. She fled from the Cabal in her ship, with only two trunks of items from her previous life. She began to take odd jobs as long as they weren't crossing the line too much (i.e. killing good people or stealing from someone who didn't deserve it)

Storylines: Eventually, The Red Moon Cabal will come looking for her. Her father, Halcyon Evohldga'ma had trained her to become one of his most effective assassins and "curators" (as he called them, but essentially thieves who stole precious objects throughout the galaxies). For now, she is mostly just evading them and working for herself..finding jobs that aren't TOO morally corrupt.

Name: Jennifer 'Jen' Winters

Alias: Dissonance

Age: 25

Powers:
Force - Jen generates a field of force from her hands. She cannot stop this without the use of her gloves. Her gloves allow her to control her powers, being able to shut them off completely, fire out a powerful shot of force (effective range of 10 m), or use it to enhance her punches. This sometimes gives the illusion of super strength, but this is not the case. She won't lift a car, but she can punch one quite far.

Resistance - Jen is quite resilient, partly due to the training and fighting she's been through, and partly because the same genes that cause her powers also boost her natural resistance, allowing her to take harder punches and fight for longer. The effects of this are not too strong, but she can stay standing longer than most. This only works against physical projectiles.

Weaknesses:
Range - Outside her range of 10 m, Jen is useless. She has no ranged weapons whatsoever.

Mental attacks - Though Jen's outer shell is strong, the horrors she has seen and commited mean that she is fragile on the inside, leaving her extremely vulnerable to mental attacks of any kind.

She usually just wears a pair of grey combat trousers, a grey sports tshirt and a black leather jacket when she commits crimes. She also wears a black cloth facemask over the bottom half of her face.

BRIEF Bio: Jen led a quiet life for her first 18 years. When she left school, instead of attending university, she joined up with the armed forces, determined to do good in the world. After a year of service, she was assigned to a special operations division, the SAS. She carried out missions for several years, seeing things that would make normal people break down and go insane. This led to her becoming withdrawn, often appearing emotionless to deal with what she had seen. After a particularly brutal mission, Jen refused the orders of her commanding officer when ordered to gun down some civilians. When threatened at gunpoint, Jen's powers awoke. She killed the rest of her squadron with them, partly due to their out of control nature, and partly because she wanted to. After that, she went on the run, dying her hair to help obscure her identity. She moved to New Athens, determined to change the world to a vision she wanted, one free from the governments and corruption she viewed as responsible for the atrocities she had to commit. There is nothing she won't do to see this happen.

Storylines: Even though she's a villain, I'd like to see her win a few fights. Definitely would love to do a monologue at some point. And maybe even a redemption story arc, later down the line?

Notes: Her mother is Scottish, and her father is English. She was raised in Guilford. She has inherited her mother's strong liver. She is an expert at hand to hand combat, even without her powers. She is also a crack shot, but has sworn never to use a gun again.

Name: Tamera Wilkins

Alias: Frostbite

Powers: Whenever Tamera carries her totem, it endows her with control over Ice (e.g. icebreath, icetouch, etc...), resistance to colder temperatures and the ability to cause sub zero temperatures in her immediate vicinity. She can make constructs out of ice limited by her imagination and amount of energy she has available.

Weaknesses: Hot temperatures, Fire, Hand to hand combat, Standard human weaknesses

Personality: Selfish, Quick-witted, Trustworthy (never breaks a promise)

Appearance: *but the bang is white*

Brief Bio: Tamera was an adopted African immigrant by American missionaries. Growing up as the preachers daughter made Tamera the type to lash out as a means to express herself. The only item she posesses to link her to her birth parents was a totem necklace she found stashed away in the garage among tattered files. Since confronting her parents at 18, her relationship with them became even more severely strained and she ended up moving to New Athens to attend college. It wasn't until she saw the totem sparkling in her drawer that she put it on and realized her newfound abilities but she's not exactly sure if shes up for the hero gig (doesn't pay well she bets) or maybe other evils...she's pretty good at justifying her choices.

Storylines: I'm going to start her off in school and then i'm not really sure what will happen from there. I know she may get herself in trouble here and there as she still can't really control her totem.

Appearance: A slight but sturdy man with no eyebrows, a baby-face, emerald eyes, a porn stache, and slicked back ginger hair. He almost always wears black pants and dress shoes with suspenders and black gloves, though commonly hides his equipment and features beneath a trenchcoat and hat. He always wears a tie, though the color and design of it frequently changes. He speaks with a nasally Downeast accent.



Weapons and Equipment-

-Customised Model M513 Raging Judge Magnum revolver with a titanium firing cylinder and a Mernickle quick draw holster worn on the thigh. The rifling of the barrel, the cylinder tapering, and the frame are modified in a manner reminiscent of the Smith & Wesson Model 460XVR, to accommodate high speed .460 Magnum rounds. Put simply, the most powerful six round revolver on the planet. Donny carries three .45 Colt 325 grain Buffalo Bore moon clips, one .410 bore clip, three .454 Casull XTP Hornady clips, and three .454 Hornady jacketed hollow point clips, and three .460 Magnum 200 grain DPX Cor-Bon clips. The hammer is modified to allow for fanning as a faster alternative to the double-action function.

-.950 JDJ rifle with one round, loaded. This 85 pound gun is kept in the back of Donny's van, which is usually nearby. Comes with a scope.

-Four pull-pin grenades with optional tripwires on his belt. Two are MK3 concussion grenades, and two are M67 fragmentation grenades.

-Six inch switchblade in his pocket. It has a ring clip at the hilt base.

-Claw hammer holstered at his belt.

-A white handkerchief and a one ounce aerosol bottle of cyanide, disguised as nose spray.

-Customized retractable high-density golf club made just for braining folks holstered at his belt. It has a ring clip at the hilt base.

-Twenty-five foot razor sharp microfilament garrote wire reel concealed within a wristwatch that can be withdrawn via clip ring. It's almost invisible to the naked eye, as light as a spider's web, sharp enough to cut through bone with effort, and can withstand up to 2,200 pounds of tension without breaking. Donny can control how much is extracted and retracted with the interface of his watch.

-Spring loaded five-inch knives within the heels and toes of his shoes that will jut out when a switch on the instep is triggered.

-Pair of insulated quarter-pound S.A.P black combat gloves weighted with lead. They are fashioned from a high density polymer that can resist being cut by the garrote wire.

-A heavy duty bullet proof vest that can stop even the largest of slugs.

-Can of FOX military grade pepper spray holstered at his belt.

-Portable six inch shaving mirror on his belt.

-Four adhesive bombs in the same satchel as his tommy gun, which can be remotely detonated via digital watch or set with a timer. Each bomb contains enough TNT to scrap a minivan.
















Physical Abilities/Skills: Donny looks like a geeky dad, the kind of embarrassing adult that could be found doing jumping jacks in neon dolphin shorts down at the local YMCA. This is a strength. Hardly anyone ever suspects just how obscenely dangerous he really is. His physicality is comparable to that of a highly trained marine, as he consistently trains to stay in peak condition. He has peak human gunslinging abilities in addition to a level of manual dexterity and slight of hand most oftenly attributed to master street magicians. He is extremely deceptive, excelling in both acting and psychological warfare, in addition to having a photographic memory combined with a formidable spatial sense. He has over seventeen years of experience in urban combat as an elite professional killer, with at least 172 confirmed kills. Though he is a capable hand-to-hand fighter, he by far prefers mid-range firefights. He is a true "dead eye" with his selected firearms, and can hit a fly at ninety-one meters with his Magnum revolver, the weapon he favors above all others. Such is his skill with the gun that he can fire off all six shots in less than a second by fanning the hammer, whilst still maintaining near-perfect accuracy. For reference as to the revolver's power, the .45 Colt slugs can put a one inch hole through a steel cooking pan at mid-range. The Casull rounds travel at Mach 1.7 and need but a single shot to take down an African bull elephant. The Casull hollow points can reduce a wild boar's innards to custard. The .460 Magnum rounds travel at Mach 2, easily faster than even .500 and .600 bullets, and can vaporize a human head as if it were a rotten cabbage.



At close range with the .410 rounds, Donny can empty the chamber and turn a human into hamburger in less time than it takes for the body to hit the ground. His secret weapon, the .950 JDJ rifle, fires a bullet with over nineteen tons of force per square foot.
It can literally shoot through schools.





Personality: Donny is what would be called an ubermensch. He follows his own code and does as he wants, believing only in his own will and the in the cold steel of his revolver. He follows orders only because he likes having something to do, and what he likes to do is kill. As long as there is violence in the distance he will allow others to give him direction, for a price.
He's outrageously crafty and as mean as an Arizona rattler, albeit with a nigh unbreechable calmness some would decidedly call detachment, though it isn't. He's an adrenaline junkie that gets his fix any way he can, primarily by way of murder, but also by driving like a complete maniac, playing games with law enforcement, and committing acts of terrorism. He's socially passable by modern standards, but has no qualms about being a public nuisance. He's quite skilled at being annoying, and uses it as a tool to pick fights. He enjoys smoking, but only does so before and after a kill.
He likes taking first-class rides at the airport, drinking black coffee, making faces at children, and visiting strip clubs.



Background: Donny had a typical psychopathic childhood. He was born in Bangor, Maine, his father a U.S Marine, his mother a sickly stay at home wife, and his uncle a bastard rapist. He was often unsupervised, and frequently engaged in less than moral activities. He bullied other children, killed animals, and stole from the local supermarket on a regular basis. In his youth he won several national marksman championships. As soon as he got his driver's license, he stole his parent's van and hit the road, moving to Las Vegas and with nary a penny in his pockets after using up the rest for gas.
There he found quick work as a crime syndicate hit man that dispatched anyone who filched on their gambling debts, seizing their assets for himself along with 20-40% of however much money they owed to his employers, plus expenses. He not only impressed the crime bosses as a lethal and merciless efficient bookie enforcer. Obviously his reputation decreased business, but it was a simple matter for the higher ups to conceal his involvement in many of the deaths. The consistency of his work easily made up for any gamblers he slew or scared away by proxy.



Whenever he wasn't popping filchers, he was taking up hits. Assassinations of all kinds were welcome. He grew into the role of an underworld grim reaper, dreaded to such an extend that even the Mafia dared not to double-cross him. Even the local police, to avoid mass casualties, decided to simply stay out of his way. The way they saw it, no possible confrontation with him could result in anything less than a catastrophe rivaling 9/11. The Feds were only called in once, and never again after having eight dozen of their own slaughtered in an incident so brutally embarrassing, it was wiped from the records and in Donny's place a patsy was tossed to the dogs, the failure so complete that a cover-up was the only way to preserve the public's respect for the government. Whenever the hitman comes roaring by in his big white van, with its souped up engine and screaming, fiery tailpipes, no cops dare to try and pull him over. They've been warned well about the fella known as "First-Degree" Donny. They also avoid investigating too deeply into any murder scene where unfiltered Camel cigarette butts are found. He seems able to kill anyone, anywhere, within a week regardless of their location or importance. Perhaps it's fortunate that nobody who has thus far asked him to kill the president has had enough money to pay him for the job. These days, as a hobby he stalks and kills prostitutes in alleys and subways with a claw hammer.
