Name: Axel H. Sky
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Length of Stay: Arriving soon, estimated stay time of 8 months currently.
Illness: Diagnosed with mostly depression and insomnia, but sleeping disorders and other mental illnesses part of depression.
Incident: There was a point that many depressed people would come to a stop. There was that stop.
Axel was on the verge of killing himself. It was more dangerous then cutting or taking drugs, even though that itself leads to death if abused within a period of time. He just couldn't handle it. The people would bully him and there were others to stand up for him, but he was kind and didn't know how to handle the situation. He could act violent, but he didn't wanna cause trouble or hurt anyone else, so he would end up hurting himself. He didn't cut, he didn't want it to visible. He'd try to hit himself against objects, scratch himself to the point of bleeding, or just even trying to starve, at least a way to get it off his mind not that it's part of a disorder or illness. Even with him deterring the pain he caused to himself with a solution, many wouldn't know of this.
Axel didn't live alone, if you were wondering at the time. He would keep getting night terrors of his sister. He'd sometimes even sleep walk to places he wouldn't know and awaken unknown and wary of his surroundings. Ever since a trauma, he became more restless and paranoid as he was stimulated. Though the depression also created the insomnia and other minor illnesses that occur every now and then. His parents wanted him to take medication or go to rehab, but he wanted to handle it himself. He didn't need help... He
didn't want help. He loathed himself and couldn't bear living. On that note, he would be in his room and ready to perform his final show to life and impress death.
Axel prepared to hang himself. It was easy to do. Even though it was possible to do other ways that shouldn't be listed for it being a bad thing to talk about, it was simply a thing he couldn't and could escape. Maybe he had self kindness? Maybe sympathy? But his father and mother came in trying to give him an offer for rehab, until they became aware of the noose that he was gonna put his head through. Cutting right to the chase, he leaned forward and was above the ground as he would begin to suffocate and die of asphyxiation. Though, his parents were quick to act and stopped it. If it was hours from that point, he would be dead. It was near the start of it, however. He suffocated for moments, but wasn't dead. From the overwhelming situation and loss of breath, he was unconscious. Quite an ironic nap for him...
He suddenly woke up as he was in a hospital. The doctors were talking to his father as the mother was crying in from the incident. The father was telling the doctors anything they needed to know.
"Yes, he is diagnosed with insomnia and depression. He has other minor disorders and effects but it should be listed in the paperwork."
"Do you think anyone knew of this at all?"
"No, we only found out when we came in. He isn't good at making friends, but he was great until the passing of my daughter..."
"I see, then I think we have something in mind to solve both problems."
There was something in mind for him. He couldn't up and go to school to face the others telling them what happened. The doctors were quite smart, so they put him with people that would be similar and had alike situations, even if they weren't as serious. The use of anti-depressants and other treatment would prove to be invalid to help. He took rehab when he was younger, but it didn't help after going through it. With the information and records, the doctors wanted to help treat him and also hope getting along might make him better. He was going to be put into a group home with other mentally ill people, but, alas, he wasn't a social person or had any preferences for people while still spiting love. He was going to be this way, but maybe the visit might change the stigma he has for others. Alike things repel as opposites attract. trouble with trouble makes more trouble. But what if these were wrong? Others would see and so he would see.
To replace his school days, he would take this rehab home school for the mentally ill and possibly special ed, if he ever becomes one, for 8 months. He was going to learn some real lessons during that time, or will he remain ignorant?
Appearance: Axel has the height of 5'9 and was about 103 lbs, mainly because he wasn't a big eater like most masculine men. He wasn't built to beat anyone in brute strength, but he was perfect for a runner. His eyes were orange or similar to a light brown hue. He normally wears glasses, but could wear contacts. His hair color is jet black as his side bangs would go down near the lower parts of his face and the backside would go down to the neck. His normal attire would be a white shirt, cyan colored jacket, very comfortable trousers, white socks, and sneakers.
Personality: Axel was not a club kind of guy, but rather spend time with his sister until her decease. He would be fine talking to others, but couldn't confess much to others as he seemed to hold a strong front. It was normal for him to be kind to others, but he got around in society without importance for it. He also was uncomfortable with affection after the decease of his sister.
Axel is like a jack of all trades. He took the best classes he could, but he was quite above average of being able to do it. His ability to do things was full of variety but he couldn't do the best or the worst. Besides his outside positive personality, this was the only notable thing about him.
Axel was naturally optimistic as he would always try to be happy. Even if it was a lie or a real emotion to him, he'd still do anything to be happy. His kindness was normal, but not free for everyone. However, he is only kind to others as he hates himself internally.
Likes: Strawberries, performing kindness, being left alone, improving, fairness
Dislikes: Drugs when not required, compliments/praise, love/relationships, being overwhelmed/ganged up on, lies
Sexuality: Most likely bi, but let's see how long you can stay awake for the action.
Bio: Axel, who was supposed to be named Alex, was born in Virginia and named Axel due to his family's mistakes. His family was very ashamed of the birth and gave him the middle name Hannah, to show disappointment it wasn't a girl. Though, he wouldn't mind much as he lived life happy as a kid with his bigger sister, Andrea. Andrea was 5 years older than him, but he admired her as they played together and loved his family. His childhood days would be well as he was a regular upbeat and happy child like most.
Axel was in fifth grade at the time. During a late night he was walking home with his sister who was a sophomore at the time. They weren't too far off of town. He had always seen her as the best, superior, better. His personality was already shaped to be kind and praising of others at the time. However..., not all stories end happily for kids like him. They would on the sidewalk ready to cross the street. His hand gripped tightly to his sister's and never tried to let go. But in moments, a car had hit them, mainly her. By the time he would be able to realize the situation, he laid on the side of a street by his deceased sister. He received a concussion from the ground and other injuries, but was saved by his sister. He was traumatized, as he would begin to live a downhill life. The killer was arrested for drunk driving and was known for use of illegal drugs. And so this would be a stepping stone to his life that faces towards his back to watch him move onto the horizon.
By the time he was in high school, he became distant to others. He was diagnosed with insomnia ever since the occurrence of the first incident as it would stay on him. His hatred for love grew as he loved his sister, but was severed of the connection to his sister. He was also bullied in his late middle school days as no one stood up for him. His personality was still kind and praising of others, but he would always drag himself down as he always had worthless thoughts of himself and felt inferior. But ever since the incident, he would grow a natural paranoia of things. He wouldn't receive flashbacks or panic attacks from the trauma, but more of overwhelmed and too stimulated. Even so, he continued on as one of the best students, but it would end on his junior year prior to the incident.
