Graham decides now isn't the time, and decides to hide the tools of the traitor. He then realises that it was around the time of year he would head to the Silas Graveyard, which he does rather slowly... Pondering weather he should betray his son, his life's work and everything he has done for his colleagues. He reaches a very old graveyard. Graham then begins standing at each grave for around a minute, uttering something under his breath in a solemn tone for each and every grave.

The bus convoy stops all of a sudden near the heart of the forest. "Ladies and gentlemen, get off the buses, now." Harriet states in a cold tone while walking down the stairs off the bus, agents on the other buses begin telling the passengers to get off.

Paon watched the woman leave for a moment before sighing heavily. He stood, patted his pockets for his spare glasses, put those on and followed her before tapping her shoulder. "I....apologize for dropping you...but please don't leave. It is not safe just ye-"

His attention was snagged by the flare which cause him to look up before looking back on her. "that could mean help...care to investigate with me?" he tilted his head as he asked before he walked back to Jason. "I think we should investigate that flare. It could be help"

Peter watched as the...whatever the guy was.. Got his blood taken and such. He took a breath on focused on acting somewhat scared. Soon, he found his view blocked by a man demanding for his name and a blood donation. He held out his wrist and made sure to wince when the blood is drawn. The man stares at the blood in question...it is a rather mesmerizing shade of blue with faint shimmers in it. The man looked at Peter and Peter shrugged.

"fairy...my name is Oliver Piper" the lie of a name slide out of his mouth so smoothly the man did not expect it to be a lie. The man nodded, scanned his human face, and moved on. From that point on, Peter simply sat comfortably. He took in his surroundings and filed away each individual he spotted. Then, they were ordered off the bus. He stood and followed the others out and stood there with a rather confused expression on his face.

Syona Alaz]

She wanted to be cuffed? Now, Alaz maybe have been the kinkier one of the two inhabiting the body, but BDSM wasn't really her cup of tea. There was always something to be desired in that kind of relationship, and honestly she preferred it to be as normal as possible. Provided you didn't include the kidnapping, slave trade and rape... But, that didn't matter! That was millions of years ago! The boy and the girls was probably dead by now, anyway...

The light began condensing around the girls wrists; dragging them closer together until they sat directly beside each other, unmovable from the density of matter binding them.
"My name? I'm Alaz, she's Syona. And you are, Firecracker?" she lightly brushes the dirt from her skirt; flattening the creases slightly, "Syona doesn't know you, but I sure as hell do. You're that kid from Edge, right? I don't remember your name, but I know you got that hoody motif going on~"

Jason "Echo" Reed

"Its not that bad. 10 years is pretty good, but I've gone 12, and my cover hasn't been blown. Mainly because I blew the brains out of the guys that saw me." yeah, it was true. He had gone quite the long time without breaking his identity, and he wasn't going to let it go that easily, "And, dont leave yet. You cant go back into the city with that shit-storm going down."

Jason's eyes glanced up to see the firework. ROAD? The hell did that mean?
"Yeah, Spyro is right, the flare is our best course of action. Oh, dragon-kid, dont shit yourself just yet. I killed em for you."

Willa O'Shea

Willa sees the fireworks in the sky and memories flood her mind and she pulls back. "No, I don't think we should go towards that. It could very well be the scientists. Why would the underground put up a firework telling everyone where they are? That is the ass backwards way of staying in hiding." Willa turned around biting her lip. "No, I'm not going anywhere near any of those groups. I don't trust 'em as far as I can spit at 'em."

Willa looked at Jason "Did ya really have to tell him that ya killed 'em? Ya could have said ya knocked 'em out."

Willa was fidgeting. Her gut was telling her to run as fast as she could and get out of the country. Starting over again, not what she had had in mind, she had liked where she was but time changes all things. Her fears were confirmed that the supers were coming out of the closet so to speak. She however, was not ready to put her life on the line for strangers because of a firework. She shook her head vehemently "No! No way am I going there!" She pointed at them. "If ya want to end up in a cage go ahead!"

"Call out everyone who isn't human to get on the buses." Harriet orders discretely to the agents with the vials. "Ladies and gentlemen, some of you are being selected to act as a decoy for the scientists, you will not be harmed by them. I cannot explain to all of you because we have not verified who is a scientist pet and who isn't. I am afraid you must trust me and these agents just one time, then you can leave for good, go back to your lives before that battle, I promise that the Underground will never ask anything of you again, or help you again." Harriet announces, then the names of supernatural beings are called out and told to board.

"Harriet, why are we going with the decoy drop off method? Some of these people could help us." One of the agents almost whispers to Harriet in an enthusiastic tone. "They're either Edge sympathisers, scientist pets or just normal refugees, we can't tell who is who and we only want the refugees. You know how extreme Edge can be." Harriet responds in a serious whisper. "These are Edge refugees?! What the hell are we doing rescuing these hooligans?!" The agent shouts in fear. "We help all supernatural beings, even those who fight the scientists. We keep neutral and only lose the odd temporary set-up annually, that theatre is just the norm for those people on a monthly basis! They need help and we give them it, same thing as always." Harriet states, trying to calm the agent down.

Paon glared at the kid part. Ironically, he has no idea what spyro even is so he cannot feel insulted by that. "I have never used my abilities for violence before...I have been trying to avoid that.. He shook his head and looked at willa. "Perhaps we could see them from cover? se what they are doing? in any case I am going to walk this way..and see what happens. because honestly...97 years of hiding has gotten to me" He shrugged a bit before he walked away.

He was uncertain if either of his companions would follow him, but he wanted to see what the flare was about. He kept walking for what felt like a good amount of time..with the intent to circle back to be on the opposite side of them. However, this plan did not go though as he found himself falling down a hole. He would like to say he gracefully slide down like the main character of an action movie, but he did not...rather he tumbled down like an uncoordinated tumble weed.

Peter stifled the heavy sigh and resisted the glare. These humans were trying his nerves and his patience. A nice image of choking the life out of some of the humans popped into his mind and perked up his spirits. If he was part of the decoy so many will be killed. So many will be captured before he follows the buses that leave. Most excellent plan.

With a look of innocence and confusion he went to the bus he was told to get on. He quietly sat and drummed his finger tips on his legs, curious as to which event will occur for him. Either one was beneficial and either one would lead to him being a very happy dark fairy indeed.

Eric received the work of one of the scientists whom worked under him. It was quite a good amount of research and he felt a tad impressed. He picked up the phone in his office and called up Charlie's superior. "Send up charlie. I would like to speak to him about his research." He hung up the phone and stood. He would talk to this charlie and show him the higher levels. Get a feel for how the guy reacted...if Peter was here, that would be better...but he would make due without his right hand man. He stood in front of his desk and drummed his fingers on the edge.

Benji had, for the most part, followed the instructions given to him by The Underground but hearing that they wanted them to be used as decoys was too far. He saw many of the supernaturals board the bus as they were told, most of them probably too scared or confused to know what was going on after the mess at the theater. A handful of them stayed back not sure what they wanted to do but Benji wasn’t about to let himself be used as a decoy or bait by some group he’d never heard of and lead by people he neither knew or trusted.

“How about no, I’m not letting some insane grandma use me as a decoy for whatever harebrained scheme you guys are up to. I have no idea what you’re really about, what this plan is and I have no reason to trust you. You say you’re about helping supernaturals but as soon we’re on these buses you go around making demands, taking blood samples and scans, keeping us all in the dark about just about everything. I’m not jumping through anymore f***ing hoops for you people.” Benji half said, half shouted finally having enough of a stranger barking orders at him. “I don’t know you and I’m not risking my life for the promise of free bottle of booze.”
-----------

Charlie had made it all the way to his car before his phone started to vibrate in his pocket. He sighed instantly knowing it was going to be work, he should’ve know he wasn’t really going to get to go home early. He grabbed the phone from his pocket and checked the screen; it was Dr. Harris all right.

“Hey boss.” He said, answering the phone and walking back instinctively towards the building.

“Charlie-boy, I know I said you could take the rest of the day of but I’ve got some great news for you!” Harris said sounding genuinely excited. “Dr. McConnel would like to meet with you, nothing bad, in fact I heard he was impressed with your work.”

“Dr. McConnel wants to meet with me?” Charlie repeated back surprised. He felt his heart beat quicken with genuine excitement. His thoughts about morality vanished when he thought about having a meeting with one of his scientific heroes. He shoved his hat halfway into his pocket and jogged back inside.

“That’s what I said Kid, good luck.” His boss said before hanging up. Charlie showed his employee badge to Dr. McConnel’s secretary.

“He’s expecting you, go on in.” She said nodding. Charlie entered Eric’s office and stood awkwardly near the desk not sure if he should take a seat or not. He shifted his weight feeling nervous and excited.

“Hi, Dr. McConnel, sir, they said you wanted to see me?” Charlie said.

Willa O'Shea

Willa didn't know what to do. She was not about to go off towards the firecracker. If anything she was more likely to go the other direction. She was worried about Paon going off by himself and she looked at Jason. "Aren't you following him? He seems like he doesn't want to even defend himself. I'm staying right here in the treeline til I figure out what to do. Why couldn't I get some useful power like...teleportation?

Willa looked down at herself. She opened her bag and decided to do something about her appearance. She brushed her fiery red hair til it sparkled in the sunlight. She was in a skirt and that wasn't really ideal in the woods. She pulled her knife out and stuffed it in her pocket. She looked up and she didn't see where Jason went. She guessed he either went after Paon or he went to take a leak. Either way she decided not to wait. "Jason?" She headed away from the fireworks.

Willa was not typically scared of being alone but the woods were dark and could be extremely creepy. And Willa was scared to death of snakes. She looked at herself from another person's point of view and she laughed. "I can see it now. Crazy Irishwoman in a long skirt in the woods with bright red hair killed when her pocketknife was used for defense against a poisonous snake." She laughed at herself. She heard a noise coming up from further back. "Oh hell, I'm goin' ta be someone's lunch." She stayed still but went invisible. It was a last ditch effort. An animal would know where she was by scent. A person wasn't going to see her and they would go right on by.

"Let us talk in private, haven't I already said that some of these people are scientist pets? I cannot tell everyone everything because then the scientists would let their little moles have a field day and endanger many more supernatural beings then there are here." Harriet shouts to Benji, walking towards a random bit of the forest. "This way... Or do you want to be in the dark for good? I am trying to offer you infinitely more then alcohol." Harriet states tiredly, hating the fact that she needs to calm down another unruly supernatural being.

Peter boards a bus filled with humans and the agents finish off their rosters. "Guide! We'll be ready to go when you both come back!" The leading agent she was talking to shouts, the doors close. Paon falls down one storey's worth of a cave, right onto a railway track, littered with spikes to deter intruders, the hole Paon tumbled through is perfectly visible and quite big, about the size of a gap needed for a car.

Benji headed deeper into the forest with the woman and further away from the woman’s lackeys. He also had no intention of getting on a crowded bus again, not when he was already in a forest. He was at home in a forest; fresh air, space to run, things to eat and way more trees than people which is how he preferred things. “I don’t take orders, certainly not from humans who seem to be a bit off their rockers. If using us as decoy’s is what your about than I don’t need to know anymore. Scientists use us as ingredients and it sounds like you want to use us too. I’m not a thing, I won’t be used like one.” He said his piece in a quiet but stern voice, he didn’t want to lose his temper but he wasn’t backing down on this. “Thanks for the ride, but I think I’ll be on way.” Benji said as he left the woman and headed deeper into the woods.

There was a shift in the wind and slight but noticeable scent was now in the air. This new scent caused Benji to pause, this was familiar, but something he could quiet place. He headed closer to the scent as it invoked in him happier memories, and he inhaled deeply trying to get a stronger sense of the smell. Suddenly the exact memories that scent was tied to hit him and he smiled, Willa. What were the chances that they’d both be in the same forest, at the same time? Hell if he hadn’t caught her scent he wouldn’t have believed it, but he trusted his sense of smell more than any other. He headed towards the scent and even when he was close enough that he should be able to see her, he could not.

“You wouldn’t be hiding from me, now, would you Red?” He asked grinning. He didn’t call her by name, he knew how she felt about staying hidden and with others roaming the woods he didn’t want to blow her identity or anything. He hadn’t felt this happy in a long time, he hadn’t seen his friend in years, hadn’t even known if she was alive, but now he knew. He wondered if she was still mad at him, they hadn’t been on the best of terms when they lost touch but he couldn’t imagine she’d stayed mad all these years.

Willa smiled as she saw him come into view. Turning visible she ran to him and put her arms around him. "I'm so glad you are alive and well. I have missed you so much." Willa was practically giddy with joy at seeing him. "We need to get out of here. There are scientists and I don't trust the ones that said they are with the underground anymore than I do the others."

Willa took his hand in hers and wasn't going to let go. She had thought he was gone, victim to the scientists or at least in deep hiding. Suddenly the forest wasn't so scary anymore.

"I lost my companions though. Paon took off to try to see if the fireworks were from the underground and while I was looking in my bag I lost track of Jason... I wish I'd paid more attention to the scenery while on the back of the dragon. We were high enough to see well, everything we needed to. Oh, yeah I forgot to tell you, Paon is a dragon, I mean he turns into one."

Willa stopped and looked at Benji again and said. "I'm sorry for whatever we fought about. It was probably my fault, you know my temper. I can't believe you are here." She hugged him tightly again and rested her head on his chest. Willa was happy for the first time in she couldn't remember how long.

Paon blinks as he came back to consciousness. As he full awoke, sharp pain in his shoulder become prevalent. He slowly sat up and inspected it...it was bleeding from a wound caused by falling on a spike. He groaned and stood, holding his shoulder as he did so.

He slowly lifted a hand and created a small lightning ball to see by so he didn't end up impaling his feet. He decided to walk further in, to see what he stumbled upon.

Peter could tell this was a bus of humans. Correction...a bus of food. A look passed through his eyes as he waited for the bus to move away so he could feast. If he could not get information then he could take what he learned to Eric and get the bonus of a feast equal to a thanksgiving dinner twice over. He subdued his glee as he waited.

Eric nodded to Charlie and grabbed his lab coat before motioning for Charlie to follow him. "I read your work and I was very impressed. Very trough lab work. he studied the scientst and continued. "I want to offer you to work with me personally" Eric stood waiting for the response. If the offer was taken he would show him the areas that are up there.

While listening to Alaz’s words other words sounded, but these were in Jane’s very head.

You thought she saved lives. Look at the city. Warped, bent. Electronics are cut out, killing lifesupport. Planes crashing to the ground. I can hear their screams. Feel their pain as life's are snuffed out. Do you really want her to know who you are?

It felt almost like her own thoughts, but Jane knew that to be false.

I've looked into the girl's mind. She is no saviour. She is a killer, just like you, but on a very different scale. If humans didn't know about your kind before, they most likely do now, due to her.

This was some powerful manipulation, but the now calm Jane didn’t listen. The present and surroundings were real, not the deceiving and bittersweet voice.
Nice try, witch, Jane thought and concentrated on Alaz instead. In order to keep the horrible guilt of slaughtering dozens of innocents at bay, Jane had to concentrate on Alaz.
“Jane Doe is all the name you are gonna get, and first thing you need to know is some social skills. Second is…”
She bend her one wrist and fired the same kind of Armageddon she had done one the battlefield. But this was upon her self, her hand, yet on a smaller scale. She did so in a flash of light, until even these hardened restrains became nothing and freed her. Unafraid she walked up to what had been her enemy 1 minute ago and stared at her without even blinking.
“Secondly…” she then started again, “this will never hurt me.” Jane showed her unscathed arm, yet burned sleeves. “Never use heat, explosions or blunt force. That’s nothing to me. That’s like trying to stop me with a water gun. No, you stay at a distance, you create something a lot sharper than restraints, you teleport in just as I finish an attack, and you pierce me through the heart. You make damn sure I die instantly or you won’t live to tell the tale, I can promise you that. So… If you ever see me target civilians again, you kill me… you kill me good.”
Had someone told Jane she would explain how to beat her to a winged girl, Jane would think that person was crazy. But here she was, revealing what Scientists had yet to discover. Jane still wasn’t entirely sure why she did it, but maybe it was because she had always seen her powers as a weapon for good. Now it had been used against her, and against her agenda. Jane had shown the world why they should fear and shut out Supernaturals.
With her shoulders lowered Jane rubbed her sore wrists. Though her power had absorbed most of the blow, her throat had also started to ache.
“Now we got that out of the way, I'll tell you about Edge, so listen good: Edge, they like to make long speeches. They like security and to plan everything. They want the city, but won’t say what the next move will be. Only that it’s about the survival of Supernaturals. What Edge isn’t, is a swinger club where you pay a fee and join. It’s a closed initiative. You don’t approach them, they approach you. They’re small, but very well-fonded, and they only take a few. Smaller risk that way, they tell me. Now let’s have a look at you.” Jane tipped her head to the side in a judging manner and assessed the girl she was talking to. “No doubt that teleport-thing would impress them. Maybe even get their imagination starting. Possibilities – possibilities. But that’s the extend; That’s how far it would go. Edge values talents and trust. You no doubt got the first part, but what about the second? Why do you fight, Alaz? Not for others, do you? For fun then? The thrill of the game? Maybe for bloodlust? Or do you simply fight to see if you’re the best?” Jane sighed and shook her head. “All of those answers will be an instant fail if you stand before the founders of Edge. Since you have the look of someone who only cares about herself, tell me why you wish to join? And don’t lie, or I will know.”

Mel's patience was running thin. Had these people no respect for law and order? For the lives of those around them? The scientists who played with creation. The supernatural beings which destroyed and voted for war. The underground who seemed nice enough, but also selfish in their wants.

Death was everywhere tonight. So many people had lost their lives when the EMP went off in the city. An ancient relic long thought destroyed. Mel had destroyed plenty of them in her days. They were weapons of mass destruction.

She had left the heavens for the first time in hundreds of years it felt like as she was roaming over the city. It had fried everything in its path in the entire City and much of the land around it. All this time in peace had made her forget just hoe powerful those things were. She could contain and make it go away, but if she was not there..

The thought weighed heavily on her mind. That, and she had seen her sister in the area as well. Whatever the scheming bitch was up to this time it was probably nothing good. She knew her sister well enough to know that.

However, after seeing what had transpired today she was sure she would probably have to intervene sooner or later. Before things got out of hand. Order had to be maintained. But would that mean another war of the worlds? She hoped not

Her sister's words echoed through her mind. That the world should be cleansed of the impure and warlike beings on it. Her logic said yes, but her mind said no. Her heart would not allow for mass genocide.

She sighed deeply and flew across the city once more when she saw two people on some rooftops. Two of the destroyers. Her anger flared up and she summoned her trident and readied to fire. Something stopped her hand though. The daemon girl. Something was familiar with her.

No matter. She had to find and stop her sister for now. She closed her eyes and started seeing the ripples of light where Mikaela had been flying and started following it.

"I hope he doesn't stumble on the tracks... He's the last person I want anywhere near the Underground." Harriet states to herself. She returns to the convoy, the two halves separating, one filled with supernatural beings and humans the Underground Agents didn't suspect of being pets off to a temporary Underground transit line; an abandoned train stop hidden from the known lines, the other filled with either normal people, suspected scientist pets and Peter heading off to a small town an hour away, with no agents aboard, just a hired refugee to drive it.

A small train cart rides up beside Paon, two agents stand on it, one of them holding a rifle of some sort to Paon's face. "You a scientist buddy? If so expect to be filled with more holes. If not then we'll help you treat that wound... these things can do a number on a normal person." The other agent states in a very light Scottish accent sitting on a deck chair next to a lever while nodding his head to a spike, his friend watching Paon like a hawk for any false moves. Their little cart is just a small platform on railway wheels with a small engine on it, the two agents are both in almost identical dark beige uniforms that look quite comfortable and protective.

Benji had survived by constantly moving from place to place for the last several years, never staying anywhere long enough to put down roots or to have relationships with others. He didn’t really trust anyone anymore, even other supernaturals. He’d been betrayed by one he considered a friend before, a whole group of close friends sold out by one of their own to the scientists and he didn’t want end up captured and caged. For the last several years survival had meant being alone, never trusting anyone and never staying in the same place or around the same people for very long. Benji was instinctively a pack animal though, and surviving the way he had was difficult for him. Most of the time he was so focused on just surviving that he was able to ignore the loneliness that came with it but when Willa hugged him he felt bonded to another for the first time in years. She had taken him by surprise with the sudden acceptance and took him a couple seconds to allow himself to relax and let his guard down.

“I missed you too.” Benji said as hugged her back. “You’ve got nothing to apologize for, I’m sorry for being a stubborn hot headed jackass all the time and always trying to start fights just for the fun of it. It was my fault, but that’s the past and I’m just happy to have found my best friend again.” He said smiling. Willa was one of only a handful of people in the world he genuinely trusted and it didn’t really matter how long it had been or how often they fought he doubted there was anything that could destroy his friendship.

“So did you just imply that you rode here on a dragon? Like a giant fire breathing lizard or more like Falkor? Anyway I think we should find your companions, because I’m completely jealous you got to hang out with a dragon and I got kidnapped by a crazy old lady.” He said joking around, instantly feeling more comfortable around Willa than he was with anyone else. He pulled away from her hug and ruffled her hair. “I need some of that luck of the Irish, because my luck is terrible.” He joked. “I was at the old theater when some kind of crazy battle went down, got picked up by some of the Underground’s buses, then they scanned us and took blood samples and took us to forest. Next thing I know they’re shooting off a firework and planning to use some of us as decoys. There was a bizarre old woman, human not even supernatural, ordering everyone around so I got the hell out of there. Anyway you remember which way you last saw them?”

----------------

Charlie watched Dr. McConnel wide eyed as he followed him, he was more than a bit awestruck. When the head scientist said he was impressed by Charlie’s work and wanted him to work with him he nearly tripped over his own feet. “You want me to work with you?” He said finding that piece of information just as shocking when he said it himself. “Thank you. Sir, that would be an honor, I mean I’ve read everything you’ve ever published, I think you’re completely brilliant.” He said agreeing before he really started to realize what was going on. More work at a higher level will mean basically torturing more supernaturals, using them from experiments and ingredients. He thought about it more. Maybe it could be like when he first had to use lab animals, he felt bad about experimenting on them but he’d mostly gotten over it, sort of. You sick motherfrakker you’re like those evil Nazi doctors torturing people and calling it science. His conscience practically shouted into his brain. You really think you can live with this, the lab animals here get better treatment. “The only thing is I just started working towards getting my PhD and the course work is pretty intense, as much as I love working here I don’t if I could handle much more.” He said and technically this was a truthful statement, not the whole truth but maybe he could buy some time to figure out the right move.

Paon stopped when he heard the men. He made sure to turn slowly and held up his bloody hand and look a bit to the left of the two. The blood was a deeper red then normal...so deep it almost looked black. He lightly tore off the rest of his shirt and turned in a circle so they could see the stripes. "I am not a scientst...I am blind...and damn those things hurt." he balled his hand causing the lightning to dissipate and he put his hand back over the hole with a wince. A lot of blood is escaping that wound.

"care to help me please?"

Peter had a rather interesting look on his face. It was one akin to an owl watching a mouse that it was about to eat. Suddenly, he strode forward and grabbed the driver by the neck. He then threw the man away from him and took over driving. To the humans horror they were being lead to a different forest by a man with black wings....black wings with...skulls. They began to scream causing Peter to look both satisfied and annoyed. He grabbed the buses intercom to speak to the delectable little guppies.

"my little lost ones...screaming...while absolutely delicious...is pointless. The doors on this bus will not open for you and if you attack me I will break you mentally and physically. So please...sit back and enjoy your final ride...think a happy thought poppets" a clock sounded as he put the mic back.

The bus made it to its destination...there were no survivors and no evidence. Peter returns to the lab in a more cheerful mood then many have seen him in. He was radiating with energy as he sat outside of Eric's office.

Eric chuckled and lightly grasped Charlie's shoulder. "I would not hinder you. Rather you would get better hours and better pay...I want to ensure you succeed not shackle you into failure. With this position you would get all access to the higher levels...and...access to Mr.Right who just came back from an outing. He moved away from Charlie and tilted his head. "How about I show you around and introduce you to Mr.Right?" he was sincere and his voice held nothing but charm and praise. To him, these creatures were akin to lab animals...nothing more nothing less with few exceptions...one of them being the man with the purple wings, silver shimmer, purple eyes, and the ability to get any ingredient desired. The best deal he ever made.

Willa had been able to make her way back to the clearing and showed Benji. It was considerably darker now than it was when she had landed there. "The last time I saw Paon he was heading that way." She pointed in the direction of the fireworks. She looked for landmarks that she had paid attention to. "I opened my bag here and Jason was right over there. When I looked back up he was gone. I had guessed he went to take a leak. After a few minutes I left." She looked around but her eyesight was not as good as Benji's in the dark.

"So can you get a scent of them?" She headed towards where Paon had headed. After a few minutes in she saw this hole in the ground. "Benji, look at this. It looks like someone or something fell into this hole. I bet you it was Paon."

Willa's instincts were telling her that if she had stayed with him he wouldn't have fallen in. The next thing she wondered was who would dig a hole like that and what were they trying to catch?

"I think we can help you mister weights." The agent jokes, trying to drag Paon up. "He's referring to your scales if you didn't get that. The other agent states in a guttural German accent, lowering his gun and starting the motor up. "Sodding hell you're heavy! Do you eat fat people or somethin'!?" The Scotsman jokes again, trying to help Paon up. "Those spikes deter animals and intruders, be thankful you got it in the shoulder, found a dragon about the size of a car with three spikes up it's backside and around ten in it's spine last year... Had to put the poor thing out of it's misery." The German states in a monotone and miserable tone, slightly shivering. "Absolutely charming Al, now help me get this bloke up before I become a hunchback!" His compatriot complains, the German then tries to help.

The surviving convoy reaches the station and everyone is sent to two makeshift interrogation centres, getting checked and questioned one by one, hopping aboard a large train that looks around twenty years old.

Benji followed Willa through the woods keeping his ears and nose alert for any signs of danger. They headed back to a clearing and from there to a fairly large hole in the ground. He caught a scent that reminded him of the air after lightning struck, and guessed that it belonged to the dragon. Fresh tracks clearly lead to the hole in the ground and when Willa asked if he’d caught the scent he nodded. “Someone from that clearing definitely fell down this hole, probably Paon.” He agreed. Benji laid down on the ground and starred down, he couldn’t see the bottom but he could hear faint voices from below. He couldn’t make out what they were saying but it didn’t sound like there were many of them.

“Sounds like there are only a few people down there, at least that I can hear.” He said standing back. “Could be you friend is still down there, the scent’s still strong. You wanna check it out or I could go alone and check it out or we could holler at ‘em and see what happens.” He suggested. Paon could be trouble and while he didn’t know the guy himself if he was a friend of Willa’s then Benji trusted this dragon must be good people. He didn’t want to leave a fellow supernatural stuck at the bottom of some hole even if going down there blind probably wasn’t the smartest plan. He could probably climb down the side with his claws if he went full werewolf, at least he’d be able to see what he was getting into before hitting the bottom in case it was some kind of trap. Of course there was always the chance that the side wasn’t as sturdy as it looked and he could end up falling anyway.

Charlie hoped he hadn’t offended the Dr. McConnel with his earlier statement. “I didn’t mean to imply that this job hindered me at all, sir. I wouldn’t be anywhere without this job, and I appreciate every opportunity I’ve had here. I just meant I wouldn’t want to accept such an important position if I couldn’t be properly committed. I’d love a tour though, I’m sure whatever high tech equipment you have at the top levels will do a lot to convince me.” Charlie said, relaxing a bit the more he talked to Eric, the head scientists didn’t seem nearly as scary as some of the others made him out to be. Maybe the information they had at the higher levels would prove that his earlier assessment of what went on here was wrong. He was a man of science after all, shouldn’t he keep an open mind, try and get all the information he could before decided? You’re being seduced by the dark side. His inner voice told him, and Charlie wished he could turn his conscience off every now and then. A lot of people in the labs were freaked out by Mr. Right and Charlie’s curiosity was dying to know what he was all about.
