@Holy SoldierThere's no mana or magic in the setting, just the superpowers, so that needs to be changed in his backstory. As for his quirk, I think being able to take on the properties of other materials is a bit distinct from the initial stone-skin; can you go into more detail of exactly what you're wanting him to be able to do with his power?
For his skills and techniques, does Dead Weight consist of him literally connecting himself to the ground, since you say he roots himself into a rocky surface, or is it just that he's so heavy he's hard to lift? For his strength, I think being able to lift a car at the beginning of the RP is a bit much, especially since his power is defensive and not offensive.
You have some good limits, though, so some of that could be justified once I have a better understanding of his Quirk.
His power involves stone. At this time, he hasn't learned how to take on the properties of other rocks as I mentioned in that section.
I will erase the mana pool. I didn't know if magic characters would be in this game since this is AU and not canon.
As for the Dead Weight ability, it is a combination of both but it only works on rock/mineral surfaces. The person would have to lift him along with the shelf his feet are rooted to successfully lift him off the ground. So you can imagine if a strong character managed to to successfully lift him, the ground would break beneath Dirk's feet.
I also didn't mention the properties of the Emerald Knight because it is to be unlocked later, but it goes along with his ability (again that he acquires later) to take on the properties of other rocks.
As his powers mature as he learns more about them, I also want him to be able to adopt more gargoyle properties such as claws, talons, and wings. His skin and eyes may even change color. But of course this will be much later.
Strength: lol I had nerfed it down from what it was originally. Originally, he could lift the semi-truck. I didn't think a small empty four-door car was all that big, but I guess I'll nerf it further.
I also wouldn't narrow the power down to being "defensive" or "offensive." Powers are what you make of them. They can easily be both depending on how you use them. If I had a character that could throw barriers at someone, then that power became offensive.
Typically a calm, relaxed person, Jordan very intentionally goes with the flow in life. In friendly conversation he tends to play the quiet listener, but can become quite chatty if a topic comes up that excites him. Moments in which Jordan is moved to anger provide a stark contrast to his usual demeanor, displaying a side of him that is violently emotional. Recognizing this flaw, he avoids confrontation and tries to ignore rudeness in others.
[BACKSTORY]
Tell as much as you'd like about your character, as long as you include at least one element of their past life, a description of their present life, and at least one goal for the future.
[QUIRK]
Green Tongue - Jordan is capable of manipulating plant life, altering a plant's development and behavior to his whim. This occurs as a result of Jordan’s ability to “speak” to plant life, exploiting the electrical pulses florae already use to communicate simple information. The quirk can facilitate plant growth in hostile environments, enhance growth speed, alter the form in which a plant grows, and even animate plant life.
[SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES]
Symbiosis - By embedding vines into his body, Jordan is able to communicate far more efficiently with those particular plants. As such, Jordan is capable of using vines as rapidly growing animated tools, capable of restraining and stinging enemies or being used as ropes to pull Jordan to otherwise out-of-reach locations.
Capability’s Touch - In direct contact with plants, Jordan can issue commands to influence development, allowing him to shape the plant’s form, speed the plant’s growth, or facilitate the plant’s growth in imperfect soil.
Photosynthetic Surge - On extremely sunny days, Jordan’s powers are amplified, increasing the durability and sharpness of his vines via Symbiosis and allowing Capability’s Touch to drastically speed plant growth(for example, causing a sapling to grow into an adult tree in a matter of hours).
[LIMITS]
Foreign Tongue - Green Tongue’s efficacy is dependent on proximity. At Jordan’s level of experience, this means that any combat-viable manipulation requires a direct connection via Symbiosis. Communication via touch is slow, relegating Capability’s Touch to the role of a gardening cheat on all but the brightest days. If Jordan isn’t touching a plant, he is currently incapable of issuing commands, even under the effects of Photosynthetic Surge.
Photodependency - The flip-side to Photosynthetic Surge, Jordan’s abilities are dramatically reduced in darkness. Under moonlight, Capability’s Touch ceases to function, and Jordan’s vines are slower and weaker, to the point where they would be incapable of restraining anything larger than a small child. In full darkness, Jordan’s abilities cease to function.
@ZerothI made all the corrections. If you're still confused or want more clarification about the gargoyle concept just let me know. I can explain, explain, and explain until one understands.
@Holy SoldierSo his stone-skin and his "take on the properties of other stone-types" is actually a combined quirk? If that's the case, it's probably fine, but because you mention the Emerald Knight and other things coming into play later, I feel like I should probably know what these things are ahead of time. If you're concerned about "spoilers," just send me a PM.
@LmpkioIf he's stuck in his transformed state all the time, then the plasma breath and camouflage can probably be handwaved as "biological" abilities of the form that he's turned into. With his four limits, and given that villains are expected to be a little more powerful than the students, he's good to go.

Exactly what I had in mind. Thanks for the green light, I'll also be getting him to the CS. Ready when the RP is. :)
As for a soft cap, I don't want to deny anyone who's applied thus far, but I will say I honestly wasn't expecting this much interest this quickly. I think once the current group still working on their profiles finishes up, I'll close the applications at least for a little while, until we've adapted to whatever kind of pace the RP ends up having.
There we go! I wanted to leave her real name out of the CS, but if needed I can definitely add it. And of course, if there's anything at all I need to change, I'll be more than happy too.
[NAME]
Bonesaw (real name will be revealed later)
[GENDER]
Female
[AGE]
Presumed to be in her earlier to mid-twenties (Actual age is twenty four)
[APPEARANCE]
Where to start with her appearance? Standing at five foot six, her body frame is overall thin and small, and fairly androgynous in appearance and at a distance can often be mistaken for a guy. Doesn't help her voice isn't very feminine either. Often, she wears a bonemask over her face to hide her features whenever she's out causing mischief, though it does little to hide her red locks of hair.
She has two bony pads on the palm of her hands, and several others across her body to make using her ability much less painful, instead of having to essentially tear her own skin to form a weapon or other ability.
When not out causing mischief, she wears a rather well kept black suit with a purple tie. Her hair is long, falling past her shoulders and is red in color.
[PERSONALITY]
Chaotic Neutral, to Chaotic Evil. Those are probably the two alignments that sums up her entire personality if one were to apply traditional alignments to her. That, or some might say batshit insane with sociopathic tendencies in mostly the lack of a conscience area. She is motivated purely by her whims, and doesn't appreciated being ordered around - like at all. She wants something, she'll likely steal it just as well as she'd likely pay for it. Someone pisses her off, she'll probably just as likely stab them as she'll just let them go. It depends on her mood, really, though its hard to predict exactly what she'd do.
As far as goals as a villain goes...well. She just really doesn't like the heroes tell her how she can and can't use her powers. She resents heroes, and for the most part dislikes them any anyone who associates with them. Seems to have some personal beef with them, but whatever that is she keeps her pointy teethed mouth shut about it. Her behavior isn't entirely random, however, and can be predicted if one studied her behaviors and mannerisms enough, though it'd be quite a time consuming task.
She has also been proven to have at least above-average intellect, if not on the upper levels that one might call a natural human genius, and not because of a quirk. Because of this, many heroes assume that contrary to popular public belief there is a method to her madness most of the time. While she seemingly acts on her whims most of the time (and she does, indeed) if she wants something and can't get it through direct means, well, she's a crafty little bugger and surprisingly patient. After all, no need to rush plans that no one knows about and wait for an opportune moment, is it?
However, if she snaps or her plans are coming apart, there's just no telling what exactly she'd ever do. While she keeps a calm, somewhat odd smile on her face most of the time, if it ever turns into a snarl, frown, or otherwise uncalm expression, you might want to remove yourself from the area.
Has a fondness for rabbits. Likes puns. Drinks a lot of milk. Not a fan of gore or overly violent displays of savagery, though its not going to stop her from bashing someones head in with a mace made from her bones. Speaks fairly formally most of the time.
[BACKSTORY]
She was born some twenty years ago, and had a fairly pleasant life growing up in a middle class family in a fairly safe and well off district. Went to school and lived a fairly normal life for most of her childhood. Friends, family, had a boyfriend...and a girlfriend once. She was...well, normal. Nothing special. She didn't even really make heavy use of her quirk because she well, rather abhorred it. For one, it was rather painful to use unprepared. Two, it was...rather gross and inelegant, in her opinion. Honestly, though, she just wanted to follow in her fathers footsteps and become a hero. And...well, then her parents, along with her sister were both killed in a rather tragic 'accident'. At least, that's what the heroes labeled it.
It wasn't always quite so obvious, but she was always rather distrustful and suspicious of people. She kept it in check a lot, really though. She had no reason too, and she knew logically she had no reason too. Yet, after this incident...that only served to make these traits stand out more. She became depressed, and convinced herself that the Heroes dropped the ball on her parents death.
...so she decided to take matters into her own hands.
She dropped out of school, and put her full time into investigating the incident, and quickly came to the conclusion she was right - there was no accident. What surprised her though, was that it was likely a so-called hero caused the incident. This was the event which turned her from being a hero, and into a villain. At first, she considered herself a vigilante. She wanted to bring this hero to justice, but well, she figured no one would believe her.
So she hunted him down herself. It was quite the public display really, involving a rather lovely explosion and some fireworks. Somewhere along the line she rationalized that heroes were useless, and were the ones abusing their abilities and weren't any better than the so called 'villains' they were fighting against.
Well, if that was the case, then why didn't she just become a villain instead of a useless hero? At least she'd be able to have a bit of fun, in that case.
Today, she simply seeks to cause as much trouble for the heroes as possible, and eventually wants to see them overthrown.
[QUIRK]
Bonehead - Bonesaw's ability is...well, the ability to control her bones and their structure, causing rapid growth and density of her bones, basically using them for weapons and defensive purposes. She can form them into sharp swords, make various sized bony shields, or cover her entire body in a bony, carapace like structure that offers some fairly decent defense. It is a fairly versatile ability, especially at close quarters, though not so much at range.
[SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES]
Bonesaw - The most simplest application of her skill. She's able to turn her bones into swords and weapons of varying density and lengths. Usually, she uses one from the palm of either of her hands, though they can be made from any bone in her body. However, such a thing is often painful since it would require basically giving herself an open wound.
Bonewall - Instead of making her bones into a blade or other offensive weapon, she forms them into a defensive shield of sorts designed to deflect blows.
Tough old bones - She's able to change the density of her bones, to an extent. Making them thicker, heavier, more durable and able to pack a heavier punch. Of course, the weight change is also there and will cause her to change her tactics and adjust for increased weight. She manages this however, by changing the density in places where she only needs it. Such as a weapon, or piece of armor that's about to receive a blow.
Bone Carapace - She is able to cover most of her body in a bony outer carapace. The suit is smooth to the touch, and feels exactly like bone would and covers most of her body, with the joints of her body being covered in a thinner material to allow for movement, despite bones usual rigidity.
Bone Quills - Covers the back of her body in spiny protrusions. Additionally, she's able to launch these at people with some speed from other parts of her body. However, that's something she's not really keen on doing since well, once fired she's lost whatever bone she fired and will likely suffer from health risks if she does.
Heavy Bones - Over time, she has naturally made her bones denser than an average persons. Through careful management of nutrients and additional supplements of vitamins and things, she has made her bones naturally denser than most. While its nothing extreme, it definitely enhances the weight of her physical attacks and makes her overall heavier.
[LIMITS]
Bone strength - Now, bones aren't exactly the strongest of substances out there. While naturally they can withstand a surprising amount of pressure (as in, at least a few tons) They're not exactly the most dense of materials, which means they're prone to breaking from fast, sudden strikes. While she is able to buff the density somewhat using minerals and other things naturally in the body as long as its naturally found in bones, its not going to turn them into the density of steel. For one, she wouldn't be able to move if she attempted such a thing. Two, there just is not enough minerals naturally present within the body to do such a thing.
Brittle Bones - Her abilities completely rely on the amount of nutrients and other natural elements present in her body for her ability to work. After all, she's simply causing her bones to grow unnaturally in whatever direction she wishes. As such, she has a limited resource she can even work with. If she overdraws on this limit, her bones will in fact, become incredibly weak and able to shatter under the smallest of pressures or forces. She often carries a lot of nutritional supplements of calcium on her, because of this.
No Pain, No Gain - Her bones are still connected to her nervous system. As such, any breaking, tearing, or otherwise unnatural growth by bone that isn't already outside of her body, will likely cause her a massive amount of pain. Over the years, she's gotten quite resilient to it, but its obvious it still hurts if she does this, which is one reason why she keeps bony pads on various places on her body where they don't normally interfere with things so she can do this (mostly) pain free.
Heavy Bones - As much of a blessing as a curse. For as much as they enhance her physical strikes and has made for some fairly easy strength training, they still slow her down since the human muscles just aren't really equipped to handle heavier bones. Additionally, if she over exerts the amount of natural resources in her body, she will likely lose a lot of additional bone density she keeps at a natural level.
Gone forever - If someone manages to break one of her bones, weapons, or she otherwise loses them, it's gone. Can't heal it, can't just reattach it. Gone forever. She can, of course, regrow it. However, such a thing would mean she must use extra nutrients within her body to accomplish such feats and lower her over all battle effectiveness. As such, she tries to stop that from happening. If she feels like one of her constructs are going to be damaged, she will quickly retract the construct and do her best to avoid the blow to minimize the loss.
Ayah is a very kind hearted person. She wants to do the best for people, but she never wants people to know that its her when she does good deeds. She is very thoughtful and thinks miles more than she speaks. Ayah isn't a true introvert though. She enjoys laughing and joking with others. She usually only interacts with others when the topic is not very serious. She becomes quiet when more serious matters come up. It's not that she doesn't have thoughts on the matter, it's that she doesn't want to say the wrong thing when it comes to it.
However, Ayah is also very down on herself. She is always worried about being good enough, but she's very good about restraining herself. Ayah is a bit clingy when it comes to any type of relationship. With friends, she always wants attention and gets a bit jealous. The same goes to most close relationships. While she's good at hiding most of this, there are times where things build up to the point of bursting. She'll end up spilling some of her skewed thoughts despite knowing that they are incorrect.
[BACKSTORY]
Ayah's parents were both very strict with her. She always needed to maintain her grades, and she was thrust into a variety of extra curricular activities. All of which she was expected to do to the best of her abilities. The only one that ended up sticking was martial arts. However, while her parents were strict, Ayah's grandparents were the kindest, most selfless people. Ayah found comfort in her grandparents whenever her parents seemed to be against her (which was quite frequently). Everytime she'd be reassured with the fact that her parents were only harsh because they wanted the best for her. So Ayah learned to empathize with those around her. Ayah's parents were never big on her quirk. They always chastized her whenever she would use or fool around with her quirk. They discouraged her from becoming a hero since they thought she wasn't suited to it. They also thought that it was an unreliable job that didn't pay well unless you were lucky. However, Ayah decided to become a hero anyways since she so desperate to help others and her grandparents encouraged her to be a hero.
Ayah still lives with her parents, though they are still bitter about her choice of work, they are happy that she got into such a prestigious school. Her grandparents unfortunately died before she was informed that she had made the academy. However, Ayah has moved on and works hard for their sake. She currently is trying hard to built up her physical strenth as well as practicing different moves with her quirk.
[QUIRK]
Vulture - Ayah's quirk, Vulture, allows her to grow grey and white wings. These wings, when not in use take the form of a large tattoo on her back. Her quirk also allows her to grow durable claws. However, this only activates when Ayah's energy is lower than half. It also automatically activates when she is nearing death as a form of self preservation. However, her quirk simply allows Ayah to fly and have claws, her physical power is not enhanced in anyway. Therefore, she is only as good as her power is without her quirk. This is why she took up martial arts.
[SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES]
Fight Me - Ayah's been taking martial arts for as long as she can remember. She is quite skilled in many different forms of martial arts, but specializes in Akido since she doesn't have as much muscles. Akido redirects an opponents energy and momentum to one's advantage. However, she does try to increase her strength and does very well in other martial arts as well.
Swordsmanship - As a part of her martial arts training, Ayah practices fighting with bladed weapons. She absolutely loves practicing with more obscure weapons. Therefore she's better with those. However, she is not as good in this area of her training.
Feather Flury - Ayah is able to generate a flury of feathers and wind by pounding her wings hard and letting her feathers shead. It's a good blinding technique and the feathers can also cut/stab her opponents if the sharp quill part hits correctly.
[LIMITS]
Activation Energy - Ayah can only use her quirk after her energy has been depleted to lower than half. This prevents her from using it right away in a fight, and usually gives her an advantage in a long winded battle. This makes endurance training a bit of a double edged sword since it increases the time that she needs before she can activate her quirk, but it also allows her to use her quirk for a longer period of time.
Prey on the Weak - When nearing death, Ayah's quirk will automatically trigger. This causes more energy to be used. This is a bit of a backfire from her quirk since it is trying to preserve her from death, but is hurting her in the process.
Recharge - After using her quirk, Ayah needs time to recharge. She isn't sure of her exact rate of recharge. However, after an automatic trigger or extensive use of her quirk, she can passout. This doesn't happen often, but when it does it knocks her out for at least a 3/4th of a day.
Typically a calm, relaxed person, Yasu very intentionally goes with the flow in life. Moments in which Yasu is moved to anger provide a stark contrast to his usual demeanor, displaying a side of him that is violently emotional. Recognizing this flaw, he avoids confrontation and tries to ignore rudeness in others. He tries his best to give everyone he meets a fair chance, but he has trouble tolerating what he sees as stupidity.
[BACKSTORY]
Yasu was raised in an ordinary middle-class family, with two working parents and a younger sister. His childhood was unusual, although his interactions with other children in his early years were often difficult and emotionally charged, and trouble with schoolwork often left him more stressed than his parents knew how to handle.
On a hot, sunny day in his fifth year of life, Yasu’s quirk manifested for the first time when, playing with friends in a park, Yasu accidentally tripped and fell, leaving a number of cuts and scrapes on his back. Although he was in some pain, Yasu brushed it off, and continued to play. Later on, he and his friends played a game of hide and seek, and Yasu wormed his way between some shrubs. There, pressed against the viney plants, he felt a series of pulses, and a number of vines fused with his back, healing his injuries in the process.
Yasu didn’t dwell too long on his quirk, as aside from leaving him with foliage to occasionally prune, it didn’t seem particularly notable. When Yasu was 12, his family went to Texas for a summer vacation. There, during a particularly sunny day, the vines on Yasu’s back began to grow out of control, violently trashing the area until a local hero managed to restrain him. At that point, Yasu’s parents realized his potential, and he was sent to hero school when he turned 14.
Yasu has been a student hero for two years now, and he has gained a lot more control over his quirk. As part of his particular training, Yasu helps tend to the school’s garden, a careful, controlled exercise that sharpens his control over electrical pulses while also proving quite useful for his own peace-of-mind. He doesn’t have very many close friends, but he also hasn’t made any real enemies at school.
Yasu isn’t too worried about his future. While being a hero would be nice, he wouldn’t mind the more ordinary existence of an architect or gardener, either.

@Chaotic Chao@RedrumYou two, along with anyone who's still finishing a profile, will be our last additions--although I'm also going to double check and reserve room for the people who showed up in the interest check, since I'm not sure if all of them have already joined yet.
@Rune_AlchemistVillain looks good, she's approved! Within her limitations, her bone growth speed should be able to produce a sword-sized bone in just a second or two, and she's good enough at controlling the growth to shape the bones pretty much any way she wants. I'll also rule that, as long as she's eaten all her vitamins in a 24 hour period, that she actually can make the bones as dense and hard as regular steel, until some of them have been broken or used up.
@Knight of Doom Your character is accepted, nice work! And within her limitations, I'll rule that her claws can be as sharp as combat knives, and that her top flight speed (which she has to gradually work up to after liftoff) is 120 kmh (around 75 miles per hour) horizontally and that a dive can take her up to 200 kmh (a little under 130 mph). So while her power takes a while to activate and doesn't increase her strength, she can at least move quickly in the air and defend herself if her weapons are disarmed. As always, she can increase the effectiveness of her abilities over time.
@FalkonYour character is also accepted, and I like the spin you took on traditional nature manipulation! I'll rule that because of his limitations, the vines he can produce are as strong as a tough piece of rope, so they can't simply be ripped through by a restrained villain. Without Photosynthetic Surge, he can cause plants to grow up to three times bigger and faster than they normally would, and under a bright sun and with plenty of stamina to draw on he could instead cause them to grow five times bigger and faster. By expending enough energy to exhaust himself this could be increased, and of course he'll grow over time.
