Personality: Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of a cancer cell, not Jynmi Imsar. To Jynmi the purpose of all creation, and actions, from now till the end of time is to make existence a little easier, and safety as close to a sure thing as possible. He is a Unitarian, and measures something as successful or not based on how much more happiness it brings to the world. Due to the level of care Jynmi feels for just about everyone he seals himself off from the rest of the world as best he can so he can objectively step back and see the big picture, and let logic guide him instead of his heart.

Jynmi also believes in determinism and so sees everyone, no matter how good or evil as a reaction to the world around them. For that reason the guilty are not guilty because of what they've chosen, but because their continued existence would only bring more misfortune to themselves and others. It is with a heavy heart he vanquishes what must be vanquished.
Despite his natural predisposition towards logical thinking Jynmi is actually very creative. He has to be, or he'd break down and go on a murder rampage, (which was what happened to the main character in the first novel he published novel). In his free time he likes to work on his writing. Normally he does short stories, but he's also done novels, plays and a bit of poetry too. He tried his hand at drawing and playing instruments, but they failed him, utterly.
Other than writing, his favorite hobby is reading. His favorites are science fiction/ fantasy or anything humorous. He'll pretty much read anything. Though, he's a bit hesitant about romantic works, which is to say, he'll only open one if there's nothing else available, and his pen is out of ink.

Zanpakuto Shikai Release command: Teach them, Athena

Spirit Appearance: Athena is a tall woman, towering over Jynmi by 16 inches. Her hair is pitch black, razor straight, goes down to her ankles. Her eyes are golden color and her skin is the color of clean porcelain. She wears thick rimmed blue glasses, with a golden chain she wraps around the back of her head so they won't fall off. Her normal attire consist of a long flowing white robe with her left shoulder bare.

Inner world: Jynmi's inner world consist of white marble ruins, surrounded by high mountain peaks that disappear into dark grey clouds. Despite the clouds that surround the ruins, a beam of sunlight cuts through at the sky's apex, streaming down over the only structure standing intact inside the valley, which is an auditoria with a tiny stage, surrounded by thousands of empty seats.

Sealed appearance: Athena's sealed state takes the form of a wakizashi with a silver guard, and black wrapping along the handle.

Shikai appearance: Athena's release state takes of a white orb. The orb is about 12 inches in diameter, and looks as if it's made out of porcelain. With the exception of a simple drawing of a black eye, the orb is featureless.

Bankai appearance: In her bankai form Athena takes the form of an infinity symbo (Sideways 8) tattooed on Jynmi's forehead. Half the symbol is white, and the other half is black. In the center of the black part of the eight is the white eye from the shikai, and vice versa for the white part. In addition to the infinite mark on Jynmi's forehead his eyes turn deep blue, and become bigger, almost owl like with deep dark bags appearing beneath them. His ears become pointed like an elf's.



Shikai special ability: Athena's shikai has the ability to manipulate its own existence.

Shikai skills:
1.. Kierkegaard- In her shikai state, Athena can phase in and out of existence at will. While "Existing" whatever shape she's in is porcelain white with a black eye painted at the sphere's center. Whenever she is in a state of none-being-The sphere is black with a white eye painted on the sphere's center. If in a state of non-being Athena cannot phase back in if there's a solid object like stone or a person in the area she wishes to enter at, but she can phase into looser materials like air, water, and sand. Upon entering non-being, the lack of matter in the area causes a powerful vacuum. Upon entering existence there's an explosion. The size of explosion/implosion is dependent on Athena's surface area and shape at the time.
2. Nietzsche- In her released state, Athena can expand or contract her size, altering her volume and surface area at will. Note, this ability does not change her density, and she becomes softer the further her form is stretched.
3. Heidegger- Athena's release state is controlled telepathically by Jynmi, and she is capable of moving independently of him, being able to hover, and move at shunpo-like speeds, up to a 250 m range of him.
4. Jaspers- While released, Athena has the ability to change her shape at will, manipulate her physical form into virtually any object so long as it's a single piece.

◆ A P P E A R A N C E

Saeko is not a particularly notable woman; her features are fair, if not a little plain, and she stands unimposing at five six and has a relatively serene physical presence. Her long black hair is kept organised by the hair ornaments that she is never seen without and often worn in a ponytail to prevent it from getting in her way.

When it comes to uniform Saeko dresses in a standard Lieutenant’s uniform with slight modifications; she often wears underarm fabric bracers and a black silk obi alongside her uniform. Her sleeves are a lot larger than necessary with slight openings that reveal the woman’s bare shoulders – somewhat reminiscent of a traditional shrine maiden outfit. Finally, Saeko accessorises with a faint blue ribbon tied around her neck and a gold charm bracelet always worn on her left wrist.

◆ P E R S O N A L I T Y

If there was one word to describe Saeko alone it would be lazy. Or potentially selfish depending on the person's mood. The Fourth Division Lieutenant has become infamous across the soul society for her many naps and her ability to sleep almost anywhere in any situation. Saeko is ungracious about her workload and often tries to unload it onto the seated officers within the department. Saeko only seems to be interested in sleeping, eating or folding paper cranes or telling fortunes; rarely engaging in work amongst the ranks of her division. What Saeko lacks in motivation or proper decorum, she makes up for with buckets of ability and efficiency, however, it is clear that Saeko would find herself out on the streets if her Captain were a less tolerant man.

When Saeko is actually upright and awake her personality leaves a lot to be desired. She is, first and foremost, a meddler and loves to stick her nose where it doesn’t belong. She frequently visits other divisions and insists on “making friends” with Captain’s and Lieutenant’s – especially if they are handsome men. This coupled with her sharp tongue and strong opinions often leaves the Lieutenant to have something of a bittersweet effect on the people who know her.

More positively Saeko is a fairly observant woman with a knack for making people feel at ease and is more or less totally unflappable. Although lazy she has a talent for leadership as she is capable of leading Division Four entirely on her own should the need arise. Although she certainly seems to have little regard for others Saeko has the utmost respect for her Captain, despite the fact she certainly has unusual ways of showing it, and in the work that her division does every day. She will not tolerate anybody speaking unfavourably about either subject – even the Head Captain would find himself on the receiving end of a lecture if necessary.

Even though she appears gentle, few are aware of the fact that Saeko harbours an extreme vicious streak and foul temper if she is awoken from her slumber unnaturally and that it is safe for only a few to do so. This repugnant temper and vicious nature will surface in battle if her opponent has disturbed her sleep, if there are no men around whom she deems handsome enough to prevent them from seeing it, or if she ordered by her captain to fight without restraint – Saeko will remove the ribbon from her neck and free her hair from its ornament when she is like this.

◆ H I S T O R Y

Early memories of her life before the soul society mostly allude Saeko – she believes she lived in a temple of some kind and was most likely a diviner of sorts. She has memories of people from all over coming to hear her fortunes; her predictions for the weather, to whether or not a marriage was meant to be or even something as trivial as what to have for dinner. She has no memories of how she died, but when she thinks about it for long enough she has feelings that it was a violent end.

Awaking in the Soul Society Saeko’s life actually continued much as the one she left behind. She continued to perform fortune telling and assisting people with their day to day life. It became apparent to Saeko that she was blessed with spiritual power when she began to succumb to the effects of hunger after a few days. Informed by the people of the district she was in that there was an occupation for people like her – Shinigami.

The notion of becoming a Shinigami was not especially striking one for Saeko and she decided that she would rather funnel her talents in something else. She continued to live as a regular soul for a time, before a hollow attack on her almost cost her life. She was saved by a Shinigami who looked at her with cold eyes.

“The weak don’t survive in the worst. Only strong.”

Saeko could not get the man out of her head and followed him to the Shinigami Academy where she enlisted hoping to find him again.

Zanjutsu - Non-Existent
Given that her Zankpaktou is not suited for any form of swordplay or even direct combat – nor does her Shiki abilities help her do it Saeko is rather underwhelming when it comes to swordplay – in fact most seated officers would be able to best her in this regard. Her skill is this field is all but fictional.

Hakuda - Expert
Her direct combat speciality is Hakuda, of which Saeko is among the finest practitioners in the soul society. Having exceptional technique, respectable power and blinding speed to overwhelm her opponent with a series of blows as opposed to single heavy hitting strikes. Her Hakuda style differs from the traditional methods employed by Shinigami and instead incorporates several styles of martial arts from the human world.

Kido - Master
Even amongst high-ranking officers of the Gotei 13 Saeko is a notable Kido practitioner – having always displayed a remarkable talent for the art even before joining the Fourth Division. Saeko demonstrates the ability to perform several mid to high-level destructive spells with ease, control and more than respectable power without incantation. Although Saeko has a knack for defensive spells and barriers more than offense-oriented kido.
Hoho - Expert
As a Lieutenant Saeko possess’ relatively adequate skill in regards to Flash Step, she is able to keep up with fellow Lieutenants with relative easy – Saeko HAS seen remarked improvement in this area since becoming a Lieutenant as she has to work hard to keep up with her Captain. She is able to maintain his pace for a short while, but long distances will tire her before long; however even when she is tired her skill is enough that she is never too far behind.

Talented Markswoman -
Saeko has an unusual invention from Squad 12 which she wields on her person, although it remains concealed within her uniform – a Kido gun. This gun is modelled after a shotgun and takes the wielder's spiritual energy and fires it into concentrated and fast spherical shots. The shots themselves are extremely powerful, but the recoil on the gun is large and it can be very difficult to aim. Furthermore, the gun must “reload” every six shots by taking more spiritual energy from the user. (One post cooldown every six shots.)

Master Healer -
As one would expect from the Lieutenant of Division Four Saeko’s knowledge of the healing arts is surpassed only by her Captain himself – she is an excellent medic and is capable of treating any injury; her knowledge on health related matters is also top notch.

[The Guiding Sun]


◆ Z A N P A K U T O S P I R I T

Amaterasu is a fair and elegant spirit; she lives in a peaceful inner world and is traditional and polite in mannerisms. Amaterasu does wish for conflict and values a peaceful approach. Appearance wise the spirit takes on the form of a girl in traditional clothing - she has long hair like her master, albeit a shade of silver and wears similar robes in a garish red.

Saeko and Amaterasu suffer from a failing relationship - the two are at constant loggerheads with one another. Amaterasu does not feel she gets the respect she deserves from Saeko - the sword often being cast aside, dirty or lost and Saeko's poor attitude and selfish nature only cause further conflict between the pair. This lack of harmony has precluded Saeko from harnessing Amaterasu's full power, or even approaching Bankai - but she does not seem to be overwhelmingly bothered by this.


◆ I N N E R W O R L D

Amaterasu has a beautiful inner world - the temple area is like spring time and beyond all else is tranquility sublime. The spirit herself often rests at the temple in the middle of the lake.

◆ S H I K A I A P P E A R A N C E

Sealed the blade takes the form of a ceremonial katana with several charms for good luck, sun and healing attached to the end of the hilt. The blade itself is very fine and is not designed for actual sword combat - in fact, it would likely shatter if used to engage a foe this way for an extended period of time. When she gives the release command "Light the skies with scarlet flame." the zanpaktou then begins to evaporate into a gas like substance which forms an orb in the sky, after a few moments the orb is set ablaze and becomes a "sun" which is tethered to Saeko.

◆ S H I K A I A B I L I T I E S

Amaterasu is a fire type Zankpaktou - not uncommon in the soul society, however unlike most fire type zanpaktou Amaterasu is not for direct use in combat and instead allows Saeko to support her allies by using the sun to heal and empower them. Once the sun has taken form nothing will be able to extinguish its blaze; aside from killing Saeko.

日の復元- Restoring Sun -
Restoring Sun is Amaterasu's base ability and it is always in effect when Amaterasu is released. The sun emits a fine healing reiatsu which targets those that Saeko wills it to. This reiatsu is enough to passively heal those around it from minor injuries with ease, should she concentrate and offer a "prayer" to the sun its power increases and allows Saeko to heal wounds at a much more rapid pace, as well as heal injuries that Amataterasu previously lacked the power to. Also, when Amaterasu is released the blazing heat of the sun causes the effects of all fire based attacks to be doubled, while similarly lowering the power of water based attacks.

光永遠の - Light Eternal -
By focusing a small amount of reiatsu into Amaterasu's sun, Saeko is able to generate a blinding flash of light equal to the amount of reiatsu she put into the sun. Although this serves little purpose other than a distraction, the light can be powerful enough to cause dizziness or even temporary loss of vision.

ブレイズエミッター - Blaze Emitter -
Utilizing this technique Saeko can forge a link between any of her allies and Amaterasu's sun; this link empowers the reiatsu of the person it is linked with and allows Saeko to continually supply them with reiatsu via Amaterasu. Blaze Emitter also empowers the targets physical strength by filling them with adrenaline, regulating their temperature and infusing their muscles with its power, sending them into overdrive and increasing all of their capabilities - filling them with a valorous high. Although Blaze Emitter grants extraordinary power, it is only temporary and once the linked has been broken they will crash and be completely exhausted. Because of the stress this puts on any given person, Amaterasu can only link with the same person once every twenty-four hours - their body will not stand another.
