Trinity Stratos

[color=9000f9]"Ah, yeah, but I'm not really supposed to be off on my own, either..." Trinity wanted to protest more, but her concern for Ariel was more immediate. "Not like that stops me anyway. I'll be back once I- ah. Found her." Trinity peered over the railing on the deck, spying what could only be Ariel and... Nolan? She never had much contact with a guy. "Looks like she's with Nolan, and they're holding hands? Did I miss something...? Well, mystery solved, I suppose. And she's with someone, so I can show you the ship."

Trinity dissolved and absorbed her grappling hook before she walked over to join the Karns. Though, something was a little strange. Karn had started to say something. "... Eddy?" Not like she knew what she'd follow it up with, though. Probably just "... nothin'."

Jasmine Lockwood

@Caits
Jasmine awoke with a loud yawn and tired stretch...just how long had she been asleep? Yesterday had been so tiring after getting lost looking for her parents, then the whole darkness creature incident. Although Robin seemed like an ok chap.
Looking out the window she realised it was at least midday and shook her head. Her parents would kill her for sleeping in so late....oh right, she needed to find them! She was sure Penny could help, especially as it would seem that Cody had left already.
Getting up and stretching some more she got changed into her now dried dress which she usual wore, but it had gotten soaked yesterday so she was happy it was fine and dry now.
She did her hair before leaving the room....now what? She had no idea how to find Penny.

"No spicy food... I think I can arrange it so you don't have to worry about it," Drake hmmed slightly, and after a few steps she would suddenly redirect the two of them into a small cafe that also serves small, cheap meals. "Anyway, what brings you to Crocus? The games?" Drake would ask as she sat down at a table, using her foot to push out a chair opposite of her for Levi.

Jessie
@hatakekuro
"Of course. Food is yummy." Jessie said with happy smile, as she bit into her piece of fruit. "And Drew eats a lot. And we can't just survive on pizza, bagel and doughnuts, not matter how much like heaven that sounds" She slipped a slice of orange in her mouth, and smiled around the skin.

Drew gave a chuckle and shook his head at his sisters behaviour. "Well, choosing a guild is an important decision, but ultimately it has to be one you think you can fit in, and progress both yourself, and the guild itself. Both Pheonix WIng and Dragon Fang accept almost anyone, Frenzy plant needs an admission battle, and frankly a discipline that my sister is sadly lacking, if she means to join a guild with you. Tough love is a small close knit group, Iron Enigma is definetely not for you, and Riders blade is still under the council's radar, although they seem to have turned over a new leaf"

Sam Jamie jarvis

Sam nodded, touching the crystal again, and studying how the lights moved to see if she could fiigure it out. "We will always make time" Jamie promised, "We have so far, and we will continue to" She said

Penny
@Zran@Lunarlors34

Penny gave a shrug, "There are ways of testing, although the masters would be a better bet for that. As for joining, we can go down and sort that out now" Penny said, the weather didn't bother her, her own abilities enabling her to stay warm, but why waste energy?

She opened the door to head down stairs, waiting for Aishling to go through, she gave a soft sigh, "I'm perhaps not the best person to be welcoming you right, but I shouldn't be projecting on you. I'm sorry."

Aisling lead the way down the stairs as bidden by Penny. "Oh don't be, perhaps now is not the time and I'm new here but if you need some one to talk to I'm here." she said glancing back with a warm smile as they reached the landing. The hotel was bustling a few strolling the halls to begin their day, other resting with their doors ajar no doubt from their battles of the previous days. She smiled at them as they glanced at her curiously. They seemed to avert their eyes from penny though respectfully. Had she lost someone recently? "Nevermind all that for now what kind of magic do you use?" she asked curiosity glinting in her blue eyes. Out of the corner of her eye she realised penny had forgotten to close the door to the roof, Aisling raised her hands thrust them out toward it. A gust of wind blew down the stairs and slammed the door shut echoing down the corridor. Aisling winced at the sound. "Sorry I guess I had more left than I thought."

Penny gave a soft sigh. The one person she wanted to talk to wasn't there, and while she had Ariel, Penny couldn't look at her without seeing Solias, at least for the moment. That shouldn't be a punishment for Ariel, and Penny would make sure it wasn't, but for a little bit, Penny needed to be away.

"I have two kinds of magic. Fire magic, which many wizards can master if they are predisposed to it, and...and Phoenix Slayer Magic. Now that I have...that I have killed a Phoenix, I have a choice to make. Embrace the full magic a phoenix has, or continue as I have. No matter what, my magic will change. Its simply my choice if I wish to become..." Penny trailed off, wondering why she was even tellimg Aisling this. Shaking her head, Penny went over to the concierge desk, retriving the guild marker, she returned to the other girl, "Now then. Where would you like this and what colour?"

Aisling was blown away by the slight mage girl being a phoenix slayer whatever that even was. But Aisling could tell in the way Penny spoke that killing the phoenix had been painful, she was close to it somehow. She didn't consider her words before speaking but there was wisdom in them. Well, just remember who ever gave you those powers wanted you to have them. Their time is over but you are not remember that they had hopes for you, that should make your choice clear. As she spoke penny produced the guild's mark a wing that remind her of something she'd seen before in a picture her grandfather had carried but not quite.

"Hmm just like that?" She considered for a moment glancing down at herself her slightly dusty simple blue dress and similarly marred cloak, ankles showing above sensible walking boots laced up tight. "Blue of course, and how about on my ankle so it can be seen." As she took a seat on a nearby bench her stomach rumbled loudly, reminding her she had had little but crusty bread for the last few days and no jewel to buy any with, she remembered the key she kept in her bag.

While Penny applied the guild mark she rummaged in her bag for it. She drew it out finally, it was marked with the seal of the Royal Bank of Fiore similar to the royal crest but behind it were a set of scales piled high with coin. Her grandfather had money and belongings from his soldiering years saved there perhaps she could use it now. It was much like Pennys' gift in a way she thought one she did not want to use but he would have wanted her to in any case.

Penny didn't have the heart to tell the girl that Solias's hope for her had been not to turn into a Phoenix. One time...Penny would have wanted that too. Now...what if she died? There was just so much she had to live for now...that she knew if she died she would return as a Phoenix. Not much would change, not really. She sighed softly at her own thoughts, before apply The guild mark. "the thing about Phoenix Sing is we accept anyone. There is no need for testing, when we can help each other grow and become stronger" she said, managing a smile

Aisling smiled back at Penny and admired her new guild mark briefly before considering whether to ask Penny to be her guide in the city. Aisling had been here before but that was years ago when she had been given over to her grandfather while he was serving as a Royal Guardsman and she held in a cell because of her budding magic it was only her grandfather's loyal service that had got her out but both were banished. "Well now I'm offically a member how about we celebrate and ignore our worries for a while with a good meal?" her stomach punctuated her words once again and she glanced at Penny embarrassed. "Any suggestions? But first a visit to the Royal Bank. She said holding up the golden key for Penny to see. "I don't know what well find but perhaps it will be enough."

Penny knew she couldn't leave the girl to wonder around the city by herself, not with what had been happening lately. She wondered if she should just advertise herself as baby sitter. She rubbed at her temples, seeking to rid herself of the bad mood she found herself in, and let out a slow breath.

She looked up at Aisling, and nodded "Food sounds good. There's some good places around here. We can find something, and perhaps somewhere close to the bank so you're not staved for too long!" she said, hoping to be funny. "I'm not actually too sure where the bank is, but we can check a map" She stopped, and said "I do have to check on a couple of people first. Give me a few moments"

She wondered where she would find Jasmine, and Hesitating, started up the stairs intending on knocking on the doors too the rooms until she found her, but ran into her in the hallway.

"Jasmine, I was just looking for you"

Hiwatari Rei: Big Text Hurts the Eyes

So. It's been a while. Quite the time skip to the story isn't it? Last we talked the kid and I were just roaming around in the city of Cronus and now we were on the road to pound the head in of bad guys. Not to mention she found quite the colorful group of characters. I mean, we'd gone from being a party of two to a group of six. Quite the change.

Seemed like the set up to a bad joke: A blind woman, a paladin, a knight, a trap, and two weirdos walk into a bar.

But I digress.

I hadn't honestly been following the group too closely. Worst case scenario I could catch up and it's how Cyare and I operated normally. She liked quiet spaces I liked talking to myself and explore the great outdoors.

Well that and the opportunity to lounge around in trees. Which is what I was currently doing after having put some distance between me and the rest of the group. We'd let the trap lead and point out the route, I just ran off ahead for a bit to recline. After all if you're familiar with the story of the tortoise and the hare, you know the rest will eventually catch up. All I had to do was lounge around in this tree for a while. Honestly I'm well aware that I should probably be bonding with the new companions and all that, but really the kid had been plenty.

Make no mistake, talkative as I might be, I've never been a big fan of anything longer than a few hours with the same person. The kid was an odd exception mostly cause it was rather amusing to watch parade around with that justice shtick. Plus she could hold her own in a fight.

Still she trusted the new recruits, it'd be rude of me not to. Even if I've had yet to truly grow accustomed to them.

Speaking of, seemed the turtles had finally caught up, and with a spin I swung my body out of the covering of leaves. I didn't depart the tree all the way tho, much more fun to startle the others as I hung upside down from a branch.

"Kept ya' waiting huh." I said with a smirk to the trap now positioned in front of me, "How many times did the kid ask if we were there yet? I know she's the rather talkative sort."

Cyare Staunton

@Plank Sinatra @Caasicam @HereComesTheSnow

"Only once, I will have you know." The Tactical Mage answered for Angel, fixing the speedster with a distinct glare. As distinct as her expressions ever were, anyhow, which is not very. The message conveyed itself quite well, nonetheless, while Cyare continued to work her way through her snack. "Ferrara believes we will arrive by midday, barring any unforeseen changes to the weather or other disasters. I predict the fighting will take very little time, given the size of our group, but the hike back will be of equal length. Since it will take until midday to arrive, and it will take a similar time to return, it may be best to camp out for the night."

"Things you might know if you stayed with the group."

Amaya moved out of the way receiving a few bad scratches on her arm before Hunter announced the spar was done "I'm not In the games since I am more of a pacifist when it comes to fighting and for the fact I am not in the strong a rankings I am more in the b type rankings honestly but this battle I was trying to get out of my pacifist she'll and live up to the stubborn bullheaded slayers of old. But it was fun to spar with you I can see why people like sparing " she said before turning to Joshua "just a few deep cuts on my arms and a few minor...nothing that my ice aura won't work on healing. You can look and do what you think is best for my wounds but they should be fine" she said showing him her arm as the ice that gathered on her shattered as it disappeared while some formed on and around her wounds as Cecilia flew into her arms staying quite.

Jasmine Lockwood

@Caits
Jasmine hadn't gotten far when she had nearly walked in Penny...again. She really had to stop walking into people, it was starting to become a habit. But at least she stopped herself this time.
"You were? I was looking for you as well, so I suppose that's good for us both." Jasmine sounded a little surprised that Penny was looking for her, but then again Penny had promised her to help her find her parents...
"Me and Cody went to look yesterday but...things happened." She added with a nervous chuckle. She was of course referring to them losing one another before the dome incident occurred.

Karn/Edo-Karn || Crocus || Streets

@CirusArvennicus

Edo-Karn didn't turn to look at Trinity, back facing the wizard as the woman went to the edge of the ship. She was still, unmoving. Other than the minor required breathing of air that forced the chest to expand and force some minor movement. Listening, the blonde heard the footsteps draw closer, counting them silently before listening to the Earthlander speak out. Though ended up saying nothing of any particular value, failing to draw a worthy conclusion.

"Traitor. Abandonment. Liar. Vulgar. Wench."

"Sure. I'd like a... muffin as I feel a bit famished after that climb." The blonde made another little joke. Though her voice was still the same calm monotone. Like a well put together advanced robot. Perhaps that was all she really was. She had to wonder.

Walking inside, the short trapped female within a male body glanced around to find several boxes and files. Taking some, she examined them and found some blueprints, quickly skimming them over in her research of how this flying ship worked. It was definitely different from Edolian airships. Still, it was vaguely interesting. Machines were more her specially anyhow. She didn't care for magic, but she could settle with magical machines she supposed. Could come with some use in this world, especially if her stay was longer than she would of liked.

"So. You're the little miracle cure mhm?" A feminine voice spoke.

Edo-Karn glanced over her shoulder, spotting out of the corner of her emerald eye. A tall figure, perhaps 6'5, stand there against a wall like a casual day out in the sunshine. Wearing a darker shade of green tank top and a bit baggy hoodie jacket. A darker green cap to match on top of her long blonde hair with a pair of round orbs covering where her ears should be, which are probably headphones, the green neon wire hanging loosely over the body indicated that. Sporting blue jeans which looked a bit holed and torn up. Though were those ones where they were purposely there and bought like that. Honestly one of the oddity's of fashion that Edo-Karn didn't particularly understand but what the fuck ever. As well as wearing a pair of brown boots. Her aqua teal like eyes seemed amused.

The girl was tall, though skinny, bit of a beanpole really. Lacked much curves, but she had a pretty good ass. Chest was flat as a board though. Edo-Karn felt that she'd probably would be slapped if she said that out loud though. Which in fact, she didn't particularly care.

"Indeed. I am the miracure. Fear me." Edo-Karn said sarcastically.

Expression changing into one of excitement of cheeriness, when Karn took over, the blonde jumped up and down. "Hiiii!" he chirped cheerfully before Edo-Karn took over again and the monotone calm expression returned.

The strange woman just rolled her eyes before seemingly to carefully examine the tiny blonde. Eyes narrowing ever so slightly as she practically stared at Karn's face.

"Hey honey, I know my face looks so good its soul-sucking, but it isn't polite to stare." Edo-Karn mused, earning another roll of the eyes by the stranger.

"Sorry mate. Just checkin somethin out. Know that look. Sick. Faker. Regular ol' actress.. Eh... Actor...? Itor?." The woman spoke, seemingly minor confused of the ambiguous figure in front of her. "Tell you what. Do me a favor and I'll do you one. I'll help you mosey on home if you... Break this cats neck." the stranger said, tossing something at Edo-Karn, who grabbed it by the scruff. It was just a mangy little black cat. Probably one off the street. Looked young, just a kitten. It gave a mewl and flailed its paws, claws out as it tried to swipe at its captor.

Edo-Karn just looked at the woman, fingers shifting to gingerly wrap around the living creature's throat. Her expression didn't change. Just the same calm. Slowly, her fingers started to close in, closing the breathing space for the little cat. Choking mewling gasps could be heard instead of regular meowing. Growing a bit louder. Fangs and claws attempted to maul the offending hand, drawing blood, yet Edo-Karn didn't even flinch.

"Eddy?!" Karn's voice could be heard within her mind. A bit worried or panicked.

It lasted for perhaps a minute, before Edo-Karn simply set the cat down, releasing the threatening death hold to ultimately crush the creature's windpipe. "Thanks, but I'll find another way. Plus, don't exactly trust a strangers word on that." the blonde mused.

The taller woman just shrugged with a mild smirk. "Suit yourself. I'll be back if you change your mind. Or not. I like many other folks, sorta want what you have. Even your so called allies could use you. After all, its possible anyone can have the breathe of life. As a Phoenix winger, I assumed you'd play that self sacrifice hero crap by now." she mused.

Edo-Karn gave a slight grunt and shrug. "The terms are illogical for other factors to be put in." she mused before glancing for Trinity. Honestly, she was unsure if this was reality or not. It was hard to tell when it was someone she didn't really recognize. Or did she? Perhaps someone she barely knew? She couldn't recall. It was easier to tell reality from insanity when it was up against a illogical output. Like her Sasha being here and saying dumb shit. Or Pen. They were simple.

LEVI

Levi looked down at the chair and sat down, the chair creaked a bit as if it would break under his weight. At her question, he chuckled sheepishly and said, "Uh, actually I live here. The rent is a bit expensive, but Crocus has the majority of the museums and universities. It would be harder to find a job in the other towns so I don't have many options." He leaned back in his seat, the chair tipped slightly as the weight had shifted. "But I may decide to join a guild, if they'd even accept me anyway."

@Caits
FERRIS

"Frenzy Plant is a bit uptight so I'm not all too keen on joining them. It would either be Dragon Fang or Phoenix Wing since they are among the top three guilds of Fiore, but there is a lot of controversy with Phoenix Wing still." Ferris grabbed a banana from the pile of fruit and unpeeled it absentmindedly. Without really thinking what it would look like to Jess and Drew he took a deep bite from the fruit, eating half of it in one go. "I do wonder what exactly is going on between these guilds though. They're all so tense when this should be a celebration of their professions."

Alm Drake
"Oh, I never would've guessed that you lived in Crocus, but I guess it makes sense," the young woman would tap her chin for a moment in though, before picking up the one-sided menu that had been at their seats when they arrived and looked it over. The cafe had a much larger selection of drinks than meals, but they did have choices for vegan patrons, and a single kosher dish. The selections were also cheap enough that this was an alright place to visit and talk while eating something without the absurd prices of most restaurants. "Well, as for myself, I was actually born in Magnolia, but I usually don't end up staying in a place for long, since we move our HQ pretty regularly. For what, I assume, are obvious reasons."

As Drake finished saying this, the waiter would arrive, asking if they had looked at the menu yet and what they would like if they had. "Well, I would like a small coffee and one of those egg rolls," Drake would respond, looking to Levi as she finished her order to see what he was going to order, looking over her right arm, which had been placed on the table when Drake turned to give the Waiter her order.

Joakim Fortinbras – Belka Schoolhouse

@oblivion666

Ike’s vitriol did not take Evgeny completely unawares. The noble schoolteacher wasn’t the kind of man to pretend that abominable cruelty didn’t exist out there, and he knew that much hatred and resentment dwelled amongst the citizens of Belka. He knew strong, forceful emotions well, but it was his empathy that set him apart. Not many would imagine the oddly-dressed, gangly nobleman of Belka to be able to connect with people, but he prided himself on his humanity against all odds.

More surprising to Evgeny was Riona’s nigh-excessive politeness, which he treated to a smile and a returned bow. Those few who felt and could demonstrate respect and propriety should, after all, be encouraged to continue. The world’s habit of disappointing those with compassionate or considerate spirits had convinced Evgeny long ago to cultivate such inclinations whenever he could. “Not at all. Life can be cruel, sometimes, and everyone can appreciate an ear to listen to their lamentation. As for your question, we do not leave town much. The craglands are treacherous to simple folk. Of course, there are a few traveling merchants among us, but we do not keep tabs on such individuals. They seldom stay here long, so I would not expect that you might encounter any.”

Though silent for a while now, Joakim took the opportunity to speak up. He exhibited an assured air, highlighted with an undertone of urgency. ”Thank you for your time, sir. We appreciate your openness and the effort you’ve gone to in order to accommodate us. I think it’s about time we took our leave.” To this, Evgeny bowed slightly, as he had assumed the gesture to be one common to Frenzy Plant, and he bid them farewell. Joakim left the building, leaving a trail of cold air in his wake, and stood outside to wait for the others. When they arrived, the trio began to walk, and the arctic wizard murmured to them, ”Safe to say, I think, that this killer was one of the refugees of Eigenahl. He might be dead, but it’s possible he left something foul behind before his hanging. We should report this to Sanders immediately. Did anything stand out to you? Any sort of leads or hints you pick up on from Evgeny’s explanation?”

Harper Saxum – Belka Outskirts

@liferusher@lunarlors34

For a moment Harper worried that the others, particularly the rather stolid Thor, would think of her suggestion –and by extension her- as childish. Ashlyn’s eagerness to leap into the unknown quelled this concern and instilled in the young ninja a flare of hype. Any sort of terrifying, dangerous monstrosity could lay in that darkness, but the soldiers of Frenzy Plant would not hesitate. She waited for Thor to follow Ashlyn, though slightly brought down by the doubting stare of the lightning wizard, and when she alone stood at the top of the ladder she gathered herself up before diving like a swimmer down the hole. In midair she rotated, shakily confident that the others would get out of the way. With barely a noise she landed in an elaborate pose, completely dispelling the force of the impact thanks to her Shinobi martial art, and her heart soared at the thought that she might for once be a proper ninja. Rather than resting on her laurels, however, she stood back up to a normal position and wasted no time in looking around.

Ashlyn, Thor, and Harper stood at one end of an oblong rock hollow, obviously pre-existing and not carved, but nevertheless touched up in a macabre fashion. Scattered around the cave were various traces of occupants, like burnt-out fire pits and mounds of trash, but compared to the more unsettling aspects of the place these were hardly significant. Situated along the walls of the cave were crude cells small enough to be cages and made of wood. Though eight of these stood about, only five were filled—two were open, and the largest one appeared to be broken open. In the remaining cells were shapes, difficult to discern in the awful light but without a doubt humanoid. One of the farthest cells seemed to be emitting a guttural hawking noise constantly, but Harper did not feel inclined to advance into the total dark. She, as evidenced by the risen hairs on the back of her neck, wide eyes, and shivers, was thoroughly frightened. This place struck her as the stuff of horror stories. She spotted what looked like a rotting corpse on a hook disturbingly close to the ladder and recoiled. ”Um. Can…can one of you make some light? I…!” The gibbering noises swelled in intensity as she spoke, scaring her into silence.

Mercury Marowit – Belka Market

@hatakekuro@caits

“Yes, that’s okay,” the woman blubbered. With a titanic effort she heaved herself to her feet. She watched Gabriel summon Dog with a delayed, dull surprise, and waited until Enma doled out his orders before speaking again. “I wanna go with you. There’s a little square past this ally, and if there are other people you might need me to point him out. I’ll be fine; it’s only a little cut.” She pointed a sausage-like finger down the alley, angled slightly to the left. “That way.”

The group of five moved quickly and with intent, despite the ponderousness of the distressed woman. They maneuvered past all sorts of junk lining the alley, from thrown-out farm equipment to puddles of unidentifiable, noxious substances. Rolling clouds of assorted shades of gray, each darker and more ominous than the last, swept overhead. Yellow lamps and flickering fires cast enough light into the alley to see well enough, but it could not fight away a steadily growing sense of dread. Naturally, the woman fell to the back of the group. At her direction, the envoys from Frenzy Plant passed beneath a wooden arch, rounded a corner, and immediately after discovered two things. Firstly, the flooring had changed from sparsely-grassed dirt to wood; secondly, a dead end lay only a few meters in front of them.

Before Mercury could turn around and give voice to his confusion, the portly woman, who’d fallen so far behind that she was still standing on earth, called, “Oh, no! Whatever will I do to get my purse back after my brave heroes fell down a hole? Woe is me!” She kicked a piece of metal on the ground, which clicked like a switch, and abruptly the floor vanished from beneath the soldiers. Mercury yelled, half in surprise and half in anger, but dropped before he could produce his kamas. Down the hole the soldiers plummeted. By the time Mercury’s kamas were in his hands, he’d fallen too far to have any chance of pulling himself up, and resigned himself to the drop. Over the edge of the hole, a flabby, smirking face peered. “Buh bye!”

Mercury landed in a roll, negating some of the falling damage but not enough to stop a nasty cracking noise from his ankles. ”Agh! Fat bitch!” he growled, though inwardly he was glad that the pitfall led into a cave and not, say, off the cliff and to certain death. Looking around, he could see that the room did in fact have several gaps in the floor through which the waning daylight could be seen, which mean that if he fancied falling to his death he could still give it a go. At first glance, there didn’t seem to be an exit. He could not take a second glance, however, for he noticed with a rush of fear that there seemed to be a horde of huge spiders closing in on the soldiers, scuttling from the shadows like a creepy, leggy river. ”Ah, hell. This makes dealin’ with plague victims seem like treadin’ water. Well, come on, ya filthy bugs! I’ll take y’all apart piece by piece!”

Ni Rensa – Cinders of a Home

@zarkun

Taking a deep breath, Ni moved out of the cinders of the wrecked house. She told Damian, ”We oughta move onya. We got everything we nyeed here, I think.” A quick look at Eliza earned her a nod signifying her concurrence, and both female soldiers looked to the Blade of Phoenix Wing to lead the way to the graveyard.

Chester Graham – Cragland Plateau

@caits@raijinslayer

In the back of his mind, Chester hadn’t expected the sealing to go off without a hitch, but he had not adequately prepared himself for Argus’ fit. He flinched visibly when the demon threw out a hand, and his heart did not stop its heightened beating when the wall of energy appeared. A few moments passed while the scout waited, fearful but hopeful. Then the danger passed, and Argus composed himself, though Chester felt that his problems had only just begun. The demon’s irritated scowl confirmed it. He steeled himself for what Argus would say, and tried not to shiver as he made his demands in a menacing tone.

Neither Tsubano nor Chester responded to his declaration. The scout watched the witch as if he could discern her expression beneath her mask. He knew what was going through her mind, though, because it was exactly what was going through his: destroying the Seal of Denial has a tremendous negative feedback on the sealed being. Even then, this guy would probably survive. However…if he rebukes the Seal, he is effectively rebuking the endeavors of Frenzy Plant to control his dark side. If he is unwilling to be controlled and changed so as to expel the demon inside him…we’ll have to kill him. It was a sobering though. So caught up was he on his thoughts that he didn’t notice Tsubano turning and heading back toward Belka until she was already a few steps away. Wordlessly he followed.

Nandy Rewman – Cleric’s Chapel

@liferusher

Across the building, the cleric held his hands up in placation. To either side of him, his understudies took over, and he voice to their leader resounded through the chapel. “Wait! I know this must look bad to an outsider. Just wait a moment! This is how we do some of our healing here in Belka. This man has been suffering from indigestion and aching guts for months. We gave him medicine to numb the pain and some other serums. As soon as we remove the malignant intestines, new ones will grow in their place and he will heal. Watch!” He bent over the afflicted man in concentrated silence.

With a wet plop, the gruesome innards of the man lying on the altar fully departed the body. Before the eyes of the Frenzy Plant soldiers the large holes in the man’s belly began to close, and while the blood didn’t disappear, all traces of the cuts vanished. After this, the man lay still, but his chest moved up and down as he breathed, and the uncomfortable expression on his face lessened in severity. When Bytan, clearly embarrassed by his unjust assumptions, looked back at the cleric, he found his eyes hard and suspicious. “So, what was that about evil in this town? You’re not snooping around, are you?”

To set straight any worries and atone for his misunderstanding, Bytan attempted to explain himself—without, of course, compromising Frenzy Plant. He continuously fumbled his words, making Nandy more and more uneasy, and after a minute of Bytan’s flubbing he took the initiative. ”My apologies, esteemed councilors. My granddad is cantankerous and senile, and sometimes his imagination got away from him. We were tasked with exploring the town to try and find people we could help in repayment for your hospitality, and granddad got a little too excited. We are deeply sorry for interrupting you, and for his false accusations.”

After a few more seconds of narrowed eyes, the clerics bought it. The leader shrugged. “These things happen. None of us are getting any younger. The important thing is understanding. If you’re trying to help people out, I know a couple townsfolk who could use a few extra hands. Come with me.”

The head cleric beckoned, and the three envoys of Frenzy Plant hurried toward him. He then led the way to a back room, conspicuously carrying the intestines in a large bowl. The moment he opened the door, a pungent odor slammed into the soldiers strong enough to make heads swim. Undeterred, the cleric strode forward to the edge of a huge circular pit in the center of the room before upending the bowl into it. Nandy, once recovered from the smell, followed in his footsteps, and beheld inside the pit a pool of flesh. All kinds of body parts, from ears and noses to fingernails and guts, as well as a lot of muscle and fat, lay in a single, grotesque heap. Though bewildered and horrified, Nandy could not keep himself from staring, and he noticed that there didn’t appear to be any sort of rot or decay in the heap. The cleric, seeing his repulsed confusion, explained to the soldiers, “This is the resting place of the various byproducts produced by the unique healing of Belka. Thanks to our medicinal preservatives, none of it decomposes, and it sits in a sort of chemical suspension. It is a rather crude analogy, but what this does is like curing meat. It cleanses the parts, slowly fixing whatever was wrong with them, and we can then use them in operations when patients need replacements. You may not have known, but Belka is the number-one supplier in Fiore of donated human parts for transplants. This way, nobody loses. Those that don’t get used are burnt in offering to the region’s guardian spirit. This may seem odd, but we could have things a lot worse, eh?”

Nandy was overwhelmed. Everything seemed so bizarre and vile, but the cleric seemed to be telling the truth. ”I…I guess?” He needed some air.

Ashlyn Johnson

@Zarkun@hatakekuro@oblivion666@liferusher@Caits@Raijinslayer@Lugubrious
Ash landed rather ungracefully actually. She had miscalculated how far the drop was and when she used her magic to slow her descent, she accidently clipped a rung on the ladder and lost her balance and now fell face first onto the ground. Lucikly for her, the others wouldn't have seen it nor had she fallen fall. But she still rubbed her face tenderily as she called out to the others to come down since the coast was clear and waited paitently as they came down, Thor first then Harper last.
"Guess you're the rotten egg." Ash said joking towards Harper before taking a look around in the dim light. She suddenly narrowed her eyes at their surroundings....these shapes...surely not. Cages? People? Clenching her fists, she bought her right fist up as it suddenly ignited into flame upon the request of Harper to help shed some light on this situation...
Although Ash already had a good idea what they would find, she started to walk forward her with her other fist clenched tightly by her side, however she looked unfazed by the seemingly rotting body. She didn't pay it too much attention as she would make her way, with or without the others, towards the larger cage and doing her best to ignore the humanoid shapes in the cages.

She already had a bloody good idea what they were, and she had seen enough to know she didn't want to see more. Otherwise the anger she was hardly bottling up would sky rocket, and this place would probably become an inferno. However she did want to help what was probably people in these cages...but they were probably beyond saving. Besides, she wanted to inspect this larger cage first...just what had been kept in there which could deal so much damage to a cage?

James Hunt|Crocus City Armorer

James waved off Nolan's attempts at a snappy comeback and smiled at Ariel's answer. "Enjoy your day, love birds. Oh, and if you see Damian, tell him I need to talk to him. There's a familiar magic presence in town that he may want to track down." Watching the two leave, he turned to Cody with a nod. "That it is. Permanent weight enchantment to lighten the load. If you choose it, I can give a few additional enchantments for ease of movement and such."

Damian Gerard|City of Belka

Damian took one last look over the house then nodded, heading for the graveyard. There was definitely some kind of legitimacy to something being VERY wrong here, but he couldn't figure out if a virus was quite right. As they walked, he couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was about to happen, a hand rising to rest on Durandal's hilt. "Anyone else get the sense we're about to encounter trouble?"

Hunter Jorgenson|Crocus City park

Hunter nodded, understanding. "I can see that. Well, in any case, I'm gonna go hit up a restaurant or two, what with no matches today. If you need me, you know what I smell like. Catch ya later Amaya, Mother Hen." He looks at the Exceed and grins. "Furball" Turning, he headed into the crowd, following his nose to the best tasting foods.

Jack Goran|Laughing Dragon Hotel Basement

Jack frowned. The confusion was evident on her face and without the constant tone, her childness showing through greatly. In response, he decided to approach the question carefully. "She did it, dear Aria, to protect you and free you from your past. In fact, she's out getting you some new headphones with more music options now."

A Small Town On the Far Side of Fiore
The smoldering lump stood up in what could only be described as an angry manner. Once the man reached his feet, his shoulders were hunched, his breathing heavy, and the Phoenix Wing mark on his left hand was visible through his burnt glove. He swallowed and slowly bent down to pick up his dropped weapon, bits of his burnt coat falling off from the little bit of remaining fire on it. As he straightened himself after retrieving his weapon, he leveled the tip of it with the man that had thrown the fireball towards the crowd.

"I'm amazed you're still standing, that should've been enough to evaporate you into nothing," the dark mage mused, summoning another fireball in his hand. "No matter, it should work this time."

The mean who had miraculously survived the mage's first attack said nothing, his head lowered slightly and his sword raised. The crowd watched in horrified anticipation as the dark mage just shrugged and launched the fireball at his new opponent's chest. He didn't move, as anticipated, but what wasn't anticipated was when the burnt figure simply turned and raised his hand to the fireball, finally speaking."Negate: Heat." The fireball dissipated as it passed through the magic circle that appeared in front of the swordsman, who afterwards turned and readied his sword again. The Dark mage smiled slightly, and shrugged before holding up one hand by his head.

"Oh good, someone who doesn't just go down at the snap of my fingers, this'll be-" the shadow mage stopped as the Phoenix Wing mage charged him, and scoffed as he rose his hand quickly into the air, palm up. A massive wall of fire formed between him and his assailant. He was caught off guard, however, by the mage simply slicing through the fire, and charging him headfirst. He only barely noticed that the man's blade had turned black, like it had been burned, before it was swinging at him. The dark mage barely avoided the strike, followed by two, three, four more. Every time he tried to summon fire to try and slow him down, it was cut away.

After what seemed like forever to the Dark Mage, he finally got away from the sword-swinging maniac that was trying to cut him down. "Wh-who are you?" This got the mage to stop and stand up, letting the tip of his blade rest on the dirt for a moment. He lifted his head as if he was proud, but the unkempt scraggly stubble of a beard, singed clothes, and messy hair just made him look like a homeless war veteran.

"I am Mayt, S-Class of Phoenix Wing," his voice was cold and monotone as he spoke, and he would put his other hand on the hilt of his sword. As the dark mage opened his mouth to reply to this, Mayt suddenly slashed diagonally upwards, casting another spell as he did. "Amplify: Motion!" The attack caught the Dark Mage completely off guard, and he could only make sputtering sounds as the blade clove his body in two.

Afterwards Mayt just looked down at the corpse, the surprised look still on his face. He felt his face twitch in an attempt to smirk, but it failed to succeed for even a second, and he turned to face the crowd he had saved from the initial fireball. They looked at each other wordlessly for a long moment, before Mayt sheathed his sword again and started towards the hotel he had been staying in, hands in what was left of his pockets. He had finished in this town anyway, it was time to move on to bigger and better things.

Rosalina Idwal
"I'm so scared, Leah. I don't know what to do."

"It's never easy to face your past. Your fear is normal."

@Lmpkio

Nolan had departed, having business elsewhere, leaving Rosalina and Sayatachi alone at the table. Her arms were folded across her chest whilst she stared forward, only nodding to Nolan as he left. The sun was high above the outdoor cafe, signalling that some time had passed since morning. The fact that they hadn't found anyone yet was starting to get to Rosalina. She disliked failure, but perhaps she had bitten off more than she could chew by volunteering to recruit Knights. She wasn't a people person. The thought occurred to her that one of the more outgoing members of the council would have been more suited to this task. Her pride as a Knight had allowed her to become overwhelmed with visions of grandeur; that she would be capable of inspiring others to join. The very thought almost made her laugh out loud.

Rosalina turned her gaze to the side where Sayatachi sat. Her and Nolan had briefly argued over something that the Rune Knight decided was none of her business, though she was still curious. Knowing better than to bring it up, Rosalina stood from her seat and nodded to Sayatachi.
"Forgive me," She began, placing her hat back on top of her head and leaving a small wad of jewels on the table. "I think I'd like to be alone for the remainder of the day. This incident has given me a migraine." She hoped that she didn't sound too rude, but truthfully she was exhausted. Her time spent in Crocus had included more social interaction than she was comfortable with and it was a little overwhelming. She began to walk away from the cafe, though stopped at the last minute. Butterflies were dancing around in her stomach as she turned around and addressed Sayatachi in a way she hadn't spoken to anyone in a long time.
"B-but... thank you. Today is- I mean, was, enjoyable. For the most part." She stuttered, turning around before Sayatachi could see her go red. With brisk pace, Rosalina departed back in the direction of the hotel.

Isabella and Bullet
"If we can't depend on each other, then who else is there?"

"True. I've got your back. Always."

@Zarkun

Bullet snickered at Jane's comment on Isabella's style, walking ahead of the two with a sigh.
"She might have a point their Bella. You should change it up a bit. Ooh, what about urban? Get you some hip-hop pants and a hoodie." Isabella tapped her foot impatiently whilst Bullet jested. He quickly saw her expression and straightened up, offering an awkward smile as an apology. Returning the smile, Isabella spun around on her heel, letting her dress fan out around her. The various frills danced with the motions of her legs before she came to a dramatic stop.
"I happen to like my style. Though, if you're volunteering to play dress up with me then how can I refuse?" She spoke with a hint of playfulness, trying to bounce off the same vibe she'd been feeling from Jane. Giggling in delight, Isabella linked her arm with Bullet's and patted his cheek gently. "Don't think I've forgotten about you, my dear. Jane, what do you propose we do with Bullet? My, we have our work cut out for us with this one."

Verick Styles, Creating a new kind of life.

Outside of a town, currently wrapped up in the excitement of the magical games, stood a young, gray haired man. His silvery eyes looked over the entry way to the town, He wasn’t sure what he was going to find here… But there was a chance for money at every turn. “Someone’s probably got some kind of job right?” He threw his travel sack over his shoulder and began to head towards the town.

This man, known as Verick, was in fact, a Mage. Though right now he isn’t really much of a legal mage… He’s not part of any guild. Some might view this as just the same as an evil or black or dark mage… Though to Verick, that was life. His father had been practicing magic quite illegally, so what if he was as well? Might as well move forward till he found a guild that could interest him.

He is a basically good person, not looking to kill people or harm them for needless reasons… But he’s been used to using others to get away and earn some money. For now however, the magic games seemed to be a place for him to earn some quick cash and possibly find a guild to enter into.

Mayt, S-Class Wizard of Phoenix Wing - Hotel
Mayt winced as the shower water poured over his burn injuries, and grit his teeth as he added soap to the mix. He continually told himself that this was the worst, and that it would come to pass if he just got it over with. Someone had to clean the wound, after all. Once the burns were cleaned, Mayt dried his side off and pulled on a new, less damaged shirt and fur-lined jacket on, afterwards glancing at himself in the mirror. He was looking a lot better now that all his injuries were covered up.

Walking back out into the main room, Mayt was just beginning to reach for his stuff to pack it up when there came a knocking at the hotel room door. Silently cursing to himself, Mayt went over and opened the door to see who it was. He was greeted by a woman who looked to be about his age, with dark brown hair drooping partially over her face. She was one of the ones who had been in the crowd he had taken a partial fireball for, if Mayt had remembered right.

"You didn't have to do that," she announced flatly. An image of a burning Magnolia flashed through Mayt's mind, though outwardly he only shrugged and leaned on the door frame.

"If I didn't, who would've?"

"Huh, I dunno, the justice system?" The woman scoffed.

"Oh, you mean the killing the guy. It was self defense," Mayt suggested, clearly meaning to take that phrase to court.

"You could've subdued him without slicing him in two."

"And then in fifteen years or so when he got out of prison, he'd go join a dark guild because no legal guild would take him for fear of him doing something evil again, and I'd have to throw myself in front of his fireball all over again. Though, probably with less burning next time. This way, it's better for everyone. The grave digger gets payed, no need to risk lives down the line, and you don't have to pay taxes to keep him fed and alive," Mayt's tone was casual, though his body language was anything but relaxed.

"Guh, you sicken me," the woman turned to leave, clearly realizing she wasn't about to convince Mayt any different about his views.

"Not the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me, but I'll take it over "I'm going to kill you" any day." After saying this, Mayt would close the door. He would stop from going to pack up his stuff, however, as he heard laughter from the hallway he stopped. It was oddly gleeful, but after a hesitant moment he just continued back to what he was doing, throwing his burnt clothes in the trash.

Gregory Vale
Rosalina would barely make it a few blocks before coming across an older individual leaning against one of the many buildings of Crocus. Before she would even have a chance to recognize him, he would speak up in his calm, reassuring voice. "Salutations Rosalina," as he said this he would hold up his hand to stop her from speaking. "And while I'm sure my reputation precedes me, let's get out of the way that I'm not here for a nefarious plot. I simply want to ask you for a favor, from one wizard concerned about the world to, what I assume, is another," as he spoke, he would stand up properly and hold his hand politely out to Rosalina. "But first, I would assume proper introductions are in order. I am Gregory Vale, Guild Master of Iron Enigma."

penny
@Lunarlors34
Penny gave a soft sigh, "when I promise something, I generally follow through" penny could either wallow in Solias loss, in what she had done, or continue with her life. She breathed in deeply and then out. "We will find your parents. Do you know where you last saw them? We can start from there" she said.

Jessie
@hatakekuro
"Contraversy" Drew said, speaking the word slowly "let me tell you something. The only controversy with Phoenix wing is the fact they had to be punished, to make an example that you shouldn't attack the council, but Pheonix wing did what no one else could. They took down the council, because it was for the good of the people. It wasn't a planned attack, although Master Jamie probably planned that they might need to do something.

What's going on with the guilds is a lack of trust, Master Jack thinks that Master Jamie should have waited, should have prepared an attack against the council with dragon fang as well. Riders blade, when they were a dark guild, attacked Pheonix wing a few times, and Master Jamie is prickly when her children are concerned, and Frenzy plant is angry that Damian took down one of their members so easily. Not to mention both Riders blade and Dragon fang are upset over Angelo taking down Jackie. The games were meant to bring them together, not tear them apart, but people forget this is a competition, and things get heated. What they need is to be united, not apart but the guild masters are all so stubborn it could be years until they see that."

Drew shook his head, taking a piece of Apple.

"family is always a prickly area, and what are guilds if not family?"

gabriel
@Lugubrious@hatakekuro
Gabriel couldn't help but think something was up when the woman actually wanted to go into danger again after being attacked and seeming s helpless. Resigned to following and not questioning, he nevertheless whispered a command to dog to watch their backs, the spirit seeming to be happy to do so.

Dog charged when they fell, as if the spirit could stop their decent, but it was too. Dog turned to the fat woman, ready to charge her.

The whoosh of the fall, the feeling that he was leaving his stomach behind,'like it flew out his mouth, was terrifying and Gabriel had no idea how he would stop his fall. The tall youth knew it would hurt, and he tried to brace himself.

The spirit formed without him summoning it, the little bear giving a roar, it seemed to grow, becoming bigger and stood on its hind legs, as if to catch Gabriel. It was a softer landing then he would have had, but he still dropped to the ground, rolling and getting battered when the spirit vanished just as suddenly as it appeared.

As he rose, he whistled and Dog leaped down the hole to them, as the spiders appeared. He took out the dagger he carried, knowing he probably wouldn't be much help but knowing he had to do something. Bleeding from a cut above his eye, from numerous scratches over his bare skin, Gabriel charged the nearest spider, Dog by his side.

@Roseletta

Joshua pointedly ignored Hunter, feeling that acknowledging the taunt would be a bad idea. He instead examined Amaya's wounds and shook his head.
"Even if your aura can heal them, it's best to take some precautions and treat them. I have some medical supplies in my room. Just some disinfectant and a few bandages and you'll be fine." He said before gently patting her head. "But for a pacifist, you held your own there. You have good instincts. If we were to practice a bit, I'm sure you could hold your own against anyone in the games. But, that's ultimately up to you. I do not mind if you rely on me forever."

Lucus Griffonbane

@Roseletta

Lucus listened to the brief explanation about the death of Rose's mother and Rose's involvement in it. He wasn't going to judge Rose, as both of them had done things they regretted now. Besides, next to nothing she said would drive him away from her and Elyse. For now though, all he could do was listen, and speak on what he thought might be the rare occasion he needed to.

Amelia Averyonna

@Caits

Amelia smiled before turning back to Sam. She focused on one of her red crystals and one of the balls of light exited it and floated in front of Amelia, who gently cupped her hands under it.
"It's okay, she won't hurt you little one." She said gently before holding the light out to Sam. "Be gentle Sam. It's very delicate. Can you figure out what this is?"

"But Master said all other music was bad. Not to listen to it. If she cares, wouldn't she avoid getting me that music?" Aria asked, her tone becoming a bit scared.

Argus Leandros

Argus narrowed his eyes after the two, not liking their silent response to his demand. His fingers curled into a fist as he thought of just telling this guild to go screw itself and running off, as the whole ordeal had been nothing but one tiresome situation after another, but he took a few breaths. He said he'd help out with this town, and so he would. . . but if things kept on going down the same way, he was out of here. He had little reason to stay, and steadily growing number of reasons to leave. Still, as he slowly began following the others, he couldn't help but wonder if he could even trust these people. Joachim's warning came to mind, and for just an instant, Argus considered simply blasting past these two and heading off into the mountains surrounding the town. Even weakened as he felt, he felt that he could make probably get away from these two easily enough, especially if he struck while they weren't expecting it. He couldn't sense an of their emotions right now, so the seal was at least doing it's job correctly, though the feeling around of his neck was not getting any easier to bear.

Still, there were people in the town that needed help, and he wasn't going to just abandon them because of he was feeling uneasy, no matter how justified he felt the action would be given his current situation. If could do something to help, he would, and the only he could do that now was to hang around with these guys. Hopefully, if he needed to run, that magic nullifier won't be around to take him down.
