Most people that claim Batman is their favorite superhero don't actually like superheroes.

I kinda fit into this category. I think its because generally speaking superheroes with powers tend to be hard to relate to, but Batman is a regular man with a complicated story behind him rather than just powers.

Batman's only super power is being fabulously wealthy. Which may not be so much a super-power on his part but an aspiration of basically everyone. Who wouldn't want to be a rich playboy billionaire?

Thous this also means someone will have to swing in and point out Batman's far superior ability to think ahead compared to everyone else around him. The effects of which are only enhanced by his massive pool of physical resources and training.

My Little Pony isn't even meme worthy anymore, its just tragic.

Tenchu: Stealth Assasins is the only good Ninja Game.

Hilary Clinton is smarter than you are.

Fire Emblem is repetitive.

Anita Sarkiseesian is right about sexism in video games about 70% of the time.

Unpopular opinions huh? Yeah I have a couple of those. Here it goes...

Vladimir Putin is a great guy, and a great leader. He's strong, charismatic, no-nonsense and truly cares his people and dosen't let himself intimidated by the bullies from the European Union. If all countries had a leader like him the world would be a much better place. Unfortunately most countries today, including my own unfortunately, are ruled by selfish, spineless cowards.

Nicolas Cage is really a great actor, but the haters are just too weak-minded to understand that.

I find it amazing and sad at the same time that action movies and violent video games that openly depict murder, war, rape, hate and other crimes are perfectly fine but something as natural and as beautiful as the human body and sex are censored and treated with disgust by the so-called civilized society.

Many people think that Trump is gonna run America to the ground if he becomes president, but they don't seem to realise that with that criminal and pathological liar Hillary Clinton it's gonna be the exact same thing. But either way America right now is like a guy stuck in quicksand. No matter how much it struggles to get out it just sinks deeper and deeper.

Music is getting worser and worser with each passing generation. We have dance and pop artists that are nothing but hacks, singing about nothing but love, break-up's and partying and don't even write their own songs anymore, they surround themselves by sexually questionable dancers and dress like a bunch of queers on a gay parade. We have electronic music that barely makes any kind of sense, except for The Prodigy, the only good electronic artists out there, an island in a sea of crap. Only rock and metal have remained true to music, refusing to change and because of that they are shunned and overlooked by the so-called music experts and critics.

Most of my unpopular opinions revolve around movies, so I'm gonna do a mostly movies edition (might add a couple of other things unrelated to movies). I'm also gonna probably end up listing a shitload of superhero movies, so beware.

The Daredevil film with Ben Affleck is actually quite good.

The Dark Knight trilogy is mediocre, while the Tim Burton Batman films are an abomination.

Man of Steel is the best Superman movie yet.

Spiderman 2 isn't the best Spiderman movie. So far, I think The Amazing Spiderman 2 takes that spot.

Lucky Number Slevin is better than anything Quentin Tarantino has made, maybe with the exception of Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained.

Watchmen is one of the best superhero movies ever made.

X-Men: First Class is the best X-Men to date.

That Steve Jobs film with Ashton Kutcher deserves more critical acclaim than the better-funded Danny Boyle one with Michael Fassbender.

Star Wars is way overrated.

MGS V: The Phantom Pain was mediocre. Hideo Kojima's a douche.

Will Smith should retire.

Justin Bieber's a good singer and performer.

"Greatness" is not a quantifiable measurement of a country, and people seriously need to stop calling America "the greatest country on Earth". This kind of blind, self-obsessed patriotism is why the rest of the world thinks Americans are all fat idiots.

"cuck" is an outstanding insult, and people need to use it more, rather than let it be owned only by far-right neo-fascists.

You can make a decent "SJW film" (read: the new Ghostbusters), but you need to have it be a film with social justice tones made as a movie and not a social justice movie made because you need to spread some more SJW goodness around (read: Mad Max: Fury Road).

Read something somewhere about how there was feminist undertones in the movie (actual feminism btw, not the mainstream feminazism that's all the rage these days). Having rewatched the movie, I can see a bit of that.

I will admit its much more amusing to see cars asploding and kamakazi spearmen and shit, makes me want to get all chromed up and jump on to the next truck I see from a car while shouting "Witness me!" as I enter the gates of Valhalla.

I guess SJW is the wrong word for this, I was thinking something of more of a "female empowerment" movie that the new Ghostbuster obviously tries to do.

To be honest when it comes to the new Ghostbusters it's still basically doing what the originals did: case the complete opposite type you'd expect for the norm as the heroes. The under dogs and the like. At the time of the original films the typical action-movie hero would have been a buff Rambo, not a motly collection of nerds that was the Ghostbusters. To that theme casting women for the main roles is the same vein as that back then; taking unexpected character types and builds and putting them in the main role.

It's main sin though is much darker than "muh feminism".

It's called the threat of recycling jokes.

And no, it doesn't have just 'female characters'. It has resourceful female characters without depriving them of personality (like Lucy) or making them overpowered (like Lucy). Fury Road was best described as a movie about a badass lady and her quest to free four oppressed women from the clutches of a tyrannical maniac, and also a dude named Max who talks in grunts.

About the new Ghostbusters movie: there is a fundemental misunderstanding of what others think the ‘haters’ don't like about it, versus what they actually don't like. People think the outrage is because of the all-female cast and while there are surely some who are surprised/dismayed about it (to put it lightly), this doesn't seem to be the main problem with the majority. The main problem is everything else that could be assumed from the trailer so far. People are just afraid it'll be a bad movie and frustrated that Ghostbusters doesn't get the reboot it deserves.

The ‘anti-feminism’ shitstorm is really just being used as a knee-jerk reaction to all other, as @Dinh AaronMk pointed out before, much more important and valid criticisms. This FB discussion sums it very well imho:
