Appearance: Very average looking guy, he's 5'11, weighs about 170 pounds, has blue-green eyes and dark brown shaggy hair. He usually wears track pants and a t-shirt with a hoodie and a very cheap looking pair of sneakers. His Game Master outfit is a high-tech version of the COG Armor in Gears of War. It starts off in the Standard configuration, but on his command he can shift it into Battle configuration.

Background: At 22, David is kind of the de-facto 'leader' of his group of gamer friends. He attends the local community college where he's pursuing a writing degree. He has literally been gaming his whole life, a popular story told at family gatherings is that his father bought an NES "for his son" and proceeded to only use it himself since David was about 2 months old at the time. His love for gaming only grew from there, in fact, most of his childhood memories have to do with gaming in some form or another, like getting his old Game Boy Color and Pokemon Red from his mom the day before he was supposed to go into the hospital for tonsil removal, and his excitement at Christmas the year he got an N64 and the pure unadulterated joy of beating BassX in Megaman Battle Network 3 on a warm summer day with his best friend at his side. Like his Game Master Armor, he seems pretty hardened and cold on the outside (mainly to people he doesn't know or is not familiar with) but on the inside, he's very warm, and sociable, and he would do anything for his friends at the flick of a switch.

Other: David's other major interest is watching movies and TV Shows, so he has a penchant for busting out references or quotes from time to time. Video gaming is obviously his primary hobby though, his collection reaches nearly 400 games across 10 different systems, and even though his love for shooters, particularly Gears shines bright, he loves action-adventures, fighting games, a couple of sports games and RPGs too. Fallout 3 and the Mass Effect Trilogy are some of his favorite games of all time, in fact, the bounty hunter Wrex from Mass Effect is his favorite character in any game.

Personality:
Although he'll never admit it, William loves company. He very much appreciates public approval, and thus can enjoy repeating the same party trick over and over if the crowd cheers. He is fairly easy to manipulate in this way, but he doesn't seem to mind.

Despite any first impression that his gloating may create, Will is always willing to teach and to learn. As easy as he is to anger, he is easy to make reprimands with.

Background:
William grew up in a world of cruel positive feedback: If you're chubby, nobody picks you for football, so you go home and play videogames, end up chubbier, and vice versa. And our hero's over-developed imagination has made the world of virtual achievements even more alluring. His parents weren't rich, so he would usually own a one-generation-ago system and would trade in games to keep new ones flowing. Until eventually simple PCs became cheap enough for his parents to afford.

His preference for games built for careful planning (as opposed to quick response) naturally pulled him towards turn-based tactics such as Commandos, Heroes of Might and Magic, and of course, Worms. He became ridiculously good at the latter, and his grenade trick-shots became the talk of the lan-party. Between the super-sheep and the holy-hand-grenade, William felt right at home. Hell, if he could, he would live among them, in perpetual contest of Last Man Standing, armed with surprisingly accurate 2nd-order dynamics and ridiculous explosives...

It was colored differently and was on one of those "1001 in 1" custom systems. This was the early 90s I think. Once I immigrated to Israel we got a NES and the real fun began, with games such as Super Mario Bros, weird chinese DBZ stuff, Metroid and all the other popular titles. The first PC game was DooM, at a friend's house (since my parents couldn't afford a PC). The first PC game on my own rig was "Ashes to Ashes", which is a kind of sci-fi doom ripoff, as well as various demos such as Duke Nukem 3D, Wolfenstein, And that one weird first person spaceship game that I spent hours on but don't remember the name. The first Tomb Raider was the first true 3D game I think.

Background: Aliron grew up in the state that many kids do. Rather smart, but not too socially adept. Still, he was by no means a recluse. In fact the easiest way he found of making friends was to talk about video games with them. Aliron began playing early as many kids do and found that they were simple for him. Games with puzzles mostly seemed to just click for him and were a breeze. He understand game mechanics very quickly and could pick up most games very quickly with little effort, which made going over to a friend's house and showing off a lot of fun. School had its up and downs, now Aliron goes to a community collage to get his general education while planning his career, likely something in the way of law.

Personalilty: Aliron can be a bit overly confident at times, due to him being naturally gifted both in the areas of school and video games. He likes showing off as well, but wouldn't do it to put someone else down unless he really didn't like them. He enjoys challenges and isn't a sore loser. He can be a bit boring if not talking about video games and isn't too good with jokes, though he's gotten a bit better with both of those by hanging out with his current group of friends.

First Game eh? That was a while ago. I believe that it would be one of my N64 games, though its a real toss up from there. Either Super Smash bros or a LoZ(either OOT or Majora's Mask). I used to lose at Smash all the time, my bro would beat me up all the time forever. Then eventully at some point I got good and became better. Then proceeded to get really good. What’s an aimbot?: This simply refers to a passive effect that allows Amethyst to have better accuracy when using projectile weapons. Thus, she can be seen as an amazing and accurate shot.

So Magic Does Exist: Amethyst has a connection to healing magic, though in a rather bizarre way. This will be covered in the Active Ability: By My Flesh and Blood be Healed.

Appearance’s Matter: Based upon what weapon Amethyst can summon, from her bow to her rifle, her game master appearance changes to better suit that weapon. Purely cosmetic.

Active Abilities:
Summon Weapon: Summons Amethyst’s weapon, to which in Amethyst’s case revolves around keeping her distance with some sort of ranged weapon. Primarily, it is a sniper, but when technology such as it doesn’t exists, it devolves into a bow. However, if needed, she can summon a weapon that another xenoblade chronicles character has: excluding the monado.

By My Flesh and Blood be Healed!: Amethyst resonates with the magic dwelling inside her, giving her the ability to transform her projectiles into healing ones that upon impact heal instead of hurt, absorbing into the body. This, however, comes at the cost that she herself must bear the pain that was recently healed for a brief moment. It may not come immediately, but it always comes.

I Won’t Let Us Fall!: A deep powerful magic resonates within Amethyst, sacrificing her remaining energy and converting it all into a powerful magic projectile that she shoots into the air, exploding into a powerful healing mist that, well, heals the party significantly. However, it is a last resort type ability, as Amethyst is knocked unconscious for the remainder of the fight.

Background: Amethyst was born into a military family, being the last child and thus the youngest. Her father, while caring, was constantly being sent away for months on end, leaving her mother to solely take care of the children. And while the older ones missed their father, Amethyst grew up used to his continuous absence. Instead, she remembers finding another way to pass the time and forget that her father had to keep leaving occasionally. When he was around, she often sat on his lap, watching him play all sorts of various games and learning from it as well. While the other children played outside, Amethyst instead could be found by some sort of gaming technology, attempting to figure out how to play properly alone.

As time went on, so did the availability of various gaming consoles and genres. From computer gaming, Nintendo’s Gamecube and Game Boy Color, the Xbox, along with older consoles, there was never a dull moment in Amethyst’s life. She could often, if almost assured, around some piece of technology. She’d play Pokemon Crystal Version to Alien vs. Predator, and nearly anything in-between. The joy of playing Sonic the Hedgehog, the action of Battlefield 2142… All shaping her into a rather calm and sensible individual who thinks tactically and with her mind more than her heart.

Other: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Sega Genesis. Tis a gem that Amethyst remembers playing fondly when she was younger. Which seeing as she somehow managed to get to the final boss so young, before kindergarten, was in and of itself an achievement.

Appearance: Alex is 5'11, fairly muscular, has blue-green eyes and messy dirty blond hair. He tends to wear khaki shorts and a graphic tee with a faux-leather jacket with connected hood and sneakers. His Game Master outfit is not very different from his normal attire except it looks slightly more tattered and rather than the shorts he has jeans Also added are a backpack and gun holster.

Background: Playing video games has almost always been the one thing that Alex would do. Games were an escape. He didn't like the real world because to him it seemed the real world didn't like him. He was always an outcast unless he met others who enjoyed playing a game. Whenever he met these people he was the head honcho. He was amazing at games and anyone who had issues with finishing a game or getting past a specific part would ask him for help. He could almost always figure out a way to beat it because it was just natural to him.

He mainly enjoyed game which had a story to tell. Game developers like Naughty Dog and Telltale are his current favorites. He also loves games like the Mass Effect and Far Cry series. He would throw himself into these games becoming the characters. Then he met his current group of friends. Finally a group that could stand their own when it came to video games. He could just play and not have to worry about teaching how to play, and he loves it.

Personality: (Introverted/Sensing/Thinking/Perception) To most Alex appears cold and standoffish, but those who know him extremely well realize he is just a quiet guy. He can seem rude but that is only because he is very direct and rarely lets bias change how he deals with things unless he REALLY dislikes someone. He is fiercely loyal and if someone hurts or wrongs someone he cares about(which is a really small list) he will defend them, but he rarely defends himself. He loves bringing characters to life and enjoys making people happy despite not seeming like it. He often acts as though he doesn't care about peoples opinions or how they feel, but he truly does care. The only time people get a dose of the real Alex are when he is playing a game or taking care of the less fortunate. He does quite a lot of volunteer work around the city from taking care of the elderly to working at shelters. No one at school knows that he does this though. Everyone just thinks he doesn't care, yet he does.

Other: I didn't actually start playing games til I was about 7 and even then I didn't play a lot. The first game a played was either a crappy SpongeBob game you plug directly into the tv, a crappy Rocket Power PS1 game, or a not as crappy but still crappy computer Scooby-Doo game.

As a full on gamer the first game I played was COD 4. That's when I started considering myself a gamer.

Appearance: Jaz has something of an intimidating appearance and it starts with her height. She's 6'3" but that alone wouldn't make her intimidating - just tall - but her physical lifestyle has given her visible musculature and tone - especially in the arms, which she often has shown off by nature of wearing plenty of sleeveless shirts. Her hair, a dark, muddy brown, is always unkempt but cut short as she finds long hair to be more of a nuisance than anything else. While her stature and frame paint her as intimidating, it's really only when she's in the competitive zone that she comes off as unapproachably scary - other than her husky sort of voice, meeting Jaz in her day-to-day would be enough to show that she doesn't consider herself intimidating or odd at all.

Game Master Abilities: PASSIVES

• Double Jump: Much like many of the characters in a fighting game, Jaz can jump and then jump again in mid-air. She can jump forward, backward, and at angles.
• Battle Damage: As Jaz takes damage in battle, she 'builds meter' which allows her more uses of her actives. With enough meter banked, she can use her ultra. She has to take damage to build it rather than spamming a fireball to build it like a scrub would.
• I-Frame Advantage: It's a fancy way of saying that Jaz can move faster now but only on the ground. She can dash forward, backwards, and even run faster and longer until her stamina runs out. Draining her stamina means she has to let it recharge before she can dash again.

ACTIVES

• Down Right Fierce: Jaz can use any of the projectiles from across the main series SF games, with the stronger ones gated by her current meter. A simple, weak Sakura-style hadouken costs no meter but does the least damage while a faster Chun-Li style kikkouken costs one meter and a Ryu-style hadouken costs two. She can burn all her meter (she has four slots of meter) at any point to power up the projectiles, but only to the next level of power. Sakura Hadouken would only be one tic stronger, as an example.
• Well Timed Forward: Rather than a block, Jaz adopts a parry system. If timed correctly, Jaz can 'parry' and mitigate the damage of incoming attacks. She still takes damage, but she gains no meter charge for it and if her health is low enough a succesful parry can still knock her out. However, when done well she can slap the face of god.
• ULTRAAAAAA: With four stocks of meter, Jaz can use one ultra ability from a Street Fighter character provided that she can make the initial hit on an enemy or it doesn't get blocked. If she's using a Metsu Hadouken, for example, it can be blocked and won't do the full damage. If she goes with a Hosenka, then if Jaz can't hit with the initial kick then nothing happens. It's very risk-reward and either leaves her open to be taken out or comes through in the clutch to potentially turn the tide of battle.

Background: Jaz grew up in a rather poor home, with a father that ran away leaving Jaz and her mother to fend for themselves. Jaz never wanted much, knowing from an early age the stress of their living situation had on her mom. It was because of her lack of expendable funds that Jaz gravitated towards the fighting games. It happened on a weekend trip to the arcade with some friends from school - before arcades sort of fell by the wayside. Jaz had saved up as much as she could in the weeks leading up to the trip but that still only amounted to about three dollars in change. While the other kids went around trying the various games, the shooters and the classics and the beat 'em ups, Jaz was drawn to the fighting games. She found that she could get a lot of life out of just one quarter...provided she didn't lose, of course. Jaz learned the games she was drawn to, becoming somewhat known among the regular attendees of the arcade in the process. When Jaz put her quarter up, people knew she'd be there a while, taking on any challengers.

Money matches of fighting games is what got her into college, with some aid and savings from her mom, and Jaz is studying mathematics in order to become a teacher. She still plays fighting games at a competitive level but would much rather not try and go 'pro', preferring to focus on her studies and having gaming as a hobby rather than a profession. The world always needs teachers. It might not always need someone who can full combo. Her knowledge of math has helped her in games as well, being able to count and time frames and combo timing to the point where she plays fighting games like she's playing a rhythm game - all about timing.

Other: Jaz's favorite game is Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and she mains Makoto.

The first game I saw played was Pac-Man. I never owned a console myself until the SNES days because my family didn't have a whole lot of spending cash growing up. But I played Super Mario Brothers at my uncle's house. I say 'played' but it was really watching him play. The first game I played by myself to completion was Super Metroid and it's probably why I regard it as my favorite game.
