Personality:
As the High Queen’s servant and the best sniper the Machina has available, Marquis is a patient and gentlemanly individual with a notable violent streak. While he’s nowhere near cruel or sadistic, he just seems to enjoy murdering the Machina’s enemies from a distance a little too much. Aside from that, he’s highly intelligent and often plays tactician for the army he was created for.

History:
The AI Marquis was a project the Machina had spent far too much time on. He was to be the personal servant to High Queen Eos, the perfect butler that answered to no one but her, and they succeeded. The final product was a loyal and respectable entity that served the Queen without question. This was his life for a couple years, until he started to learn more about outside world and the war that constantly raged. With a simple question to his creators, he went rogue.

Rather than terminating his program, as was the usual for servile AIs that had become self-aware, they decided on something else. They gave Marquis access to the nearest robot production plant and allowed him to create a body for himself. With a thank you, he disappeared into the networking for months, working on a perfect representation of what he was from scratch.

The four months he was gone passed quickly, and in that time he had been busy. That night, the machines within the factory sparked to life and started to build something far smaller than the usual towering mechs. It took no more than a few hours, but to Marquis, it was a lifetime. Before him was a body that he would be inhabiting, living in and operating from. This was a dream come true, really. As the final product rolled off the conveyor belt and landed on its side, the AI that had created it jumped into the titanium shell. The singular cyan eye sparked to life, and the rest of his creation did as well. He stood shakily, quickly getting used to being a physical object, and adopting a proper posture as well. Moments later, the plant sputtered to life once again, and a weapon rolled off the same belt his body did. They were potentially the most complicated objects produced in this plant, and Marquis knew it. Tucking his cane-like weapon of choice under his arm, he left the factory to return to his charge.

Powers:
Overclocker – Marquis is able to speed up his processors for unmatched reaction time for a short duration.

Predatory Gaze – Marquis can deploy a titanium owl to provide vision over an area. He’s able to swap vision between the main unit and the owl.

Temporal Distortion – Marquis is able to cause minor time disruptions that dramatically slow anything in a projected radius.

Weapons:
Bindlebane – An extremely versatile weapon. It’s a sniper rifle, revolver, and cane sword all in one.

Equipment:
Titanium Dandy Mk.I – A lightweight, durable chassis of Marquis’ own design. Nothing was overlooked in its creation.

Heat Sinks – Devices within Marquis’ body that absorb excess heat in an efficient manner. They must be vented regularly, lest the main CPU containing the AI program slow dramatically.
