♢ Owner of Shadybrook Funeral Home, Funeral Director & T.A. ♢ 24 ♢ 5’1" ♢ 95lbs
In Depth Appearance: Patience is slightly underweight for a woman of her height and age, but she's not lacking looks. Her emerald orbs and her shockingly red hair stand out in the crowd, which attracts potential suitors. However, they tend to run off when they learn about her profession. She has no tattoos and only basic ear piercings, but she hopes to one day get a tattoo of a hummingbird (cliche, she knows). On a day to day basis, Patience is known to wear dress clothes everywhere she goes, mostly out of a habit.
Personality: A bubbly and delightful presence, Patience doesn't seem to be the type of girl that would be working with the dead. In fact, most would guess that she was a used car saleswoman by her constant up selling of funeral goods, such as more expensive caskets or elaborate floral arrangements. True to her name, she is incredibly patient and she's always haggling and attempting to increase her profit margins, which can be a bit of an annoyance for her clients. Nonetheless, its quite obvious that she absolutely adores her job! However, Patience is very accident prone, perhaps even ditzy, and tends to make a mess when she's not paying enough attention to something. This has resulted in a few angry customers in the past, and it's something she's currently trying to work on. Despite her squirrel brain, she is an educated woman who knows her anatomy, chemistry, and even a good bit of history.
As a person, she is a sensitive woman who cries at every sad story and tries to be as empathetic as she can be. There are clear signs she is a workaholic due to her empathetic nature, and she tends to bite off more than she can chew, resulting in a frazzled jumble of stress. Aside from her money mooching, there doesn't seem to be a single evil bone in her although she does have a particular vice for alcohol. A woman can only see so many bodies before they start drinking to forget, you know? Patience has an affinity for men, especially the cute, educated ones, but she has found it is hard to snag a man that can deal with her profession. The smell of formaldehyde is apparently a turn off for most males. She worries that her bad luck with men will mean she won't ever have an heir to take over the family business when she's gone.
History: Patience, an only child, and her family come from the town of Klaksvik in the Faroe Islands, just to the north of Scotland. Historically, the Morgans had owned one of the few and most prosperous churches in Klaksvik, and they were largely regarded as people of high stature for their dedication to the community. Growing up, there never were any problems financially, and the tiny Patience was given a proper Faroe education, which included learning Norwegian, Danish, and English. However, her father never was a religious man and got tired of pretending to be something he wasn't. However, he was interested in the funerary arts and dreamed of starting his own funeral home. So around the time she was 11, he sold all of his property, including the church, and shipped his family off to Shine City, where he had bought a nice plot of land with plenty of burial space.
Shine City was altogether a much different beast than the small town that the Morgan clan originated from. There were people everywhere, a huge difference! That was a good thing for business too since citizens were dying left and right, which was almost more than her father could handle. Patience begged her father to let her help him after seeing how tired he was from the constant cycle of funeral arrangements. Reluctantly, he agreed to make his daughter his apprentice, but only on the condition that she would go to college and pursue what she loved when it came time for that. Under her father's wing, she learned all there was to owning a funeral home, everything from embalming bodies to selling cemetery plots. It was quite a lot like wedding planning, only with a shorter amount of time to do it. Though her father thought Patience would give up and be disgusted by his work, she actually quite enjoyed it!
Recently, her mother and father passed away, just months apart, and she has now come in possession of Shadybrook Funeral Home. All the while, Patience has started her goal of obtaining a Master's degree in Genetic Biology, which combines her favorite subjects, anatomy and history, into one super fun major! While she didn't necessarily need to, she volunteers as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Matsuoka. She hopes that her expertise in genetics will help people find their ancestors and understand their cultural roots better when they visit her graveyard. This process has been incredibly taxing on her, but she's content with everything she has. Oh, another interesting fact about her is that she is an ordained minister, so she can totally officiate weddings!

Party Trick: She's double jointed! Patience can bend her bones back further than most people can, but this tends to illicit exclamations of disgust. Otherwise, she can show off her history skills by recanting lists of important dates! Unfortunately, this is more likely to bore people to tears than impress them.
