I like where you are heading so far. I'm sure you will figure out the perfect character.

Tango can be anywhere on the ship, and be doing multiple things, but he really enjoys to be in a physical form (he's a bit older and worn down from his time, and his eyes don't have pupils, they just glow blue). He can hold a conversation, he can be a bit oblivious and blunt, and he also has some speech patterns programmed into him since he's Committee property. For example, whenever Raymond walks onto the Bridge, he stops, salutes and faces him while saying "Captain on Deck!"

But he does remember almost everything, and has a basis of feelings and emotions (as much as an AI can)

@Hailfire

Yes, like Akaya said, we will always accept nice dudes who show interesting, and thanks btw for being interested!

Zero gravity would be cool, and interesting to play around with on a planet especially! But a field engineer, a navigator, a linguist, the possibilities are endless!

Perhaps a zero gravity boarding specialist to work alongside our hacker/intelligence operative and combat units?
*lands on enemy ship via carefully performed zero-g jump. Plants breeching charges... BOOM... In goes the raiding party to shoot up the now air compromised ship.*

That's actually pretty awesome too! Though I'm not sure we'd be in a lot of those types of situations considering we're just an expedition team. Maybe that could be one of your specialties to do other things as well, because I would love to see that happen!

I can see him and Makobi teaming up to scavenge derelict vessels. After sending out drones to scout them out, you'd use your zero g to land on ships and attach cables to them so Makobi can reel them in using his dock worker mech, or we can have you attached to a cable so that Makobi can reel you in after you grab whatever useful items you can find on those wrecked ships. Totally just thinking out loud here.

Now I am wondering if I can add some drones to Jolenar's arsenal. Might give him more to do

Jolenar already knows a lot about cybernetics and robotics. He doesn't have a drone army. I considered it but because I have the larger machines I figured it would have been to much

That's actually perfect if he decides to go that route as he'll be coming to Jolenar for repairs. I'm probably gonna have Makobi send a bunch of his worker drones over to Jolenar to fix them too lol.

Do we have anyone running as an information specialist? Hacking and coding, that kind of stuff.
...or I guess that kinda comes with the territory concerning drone construction.
:T

Trying to think of something more useful for Kaite than 'the one who presses 'fire' and rolls tortellini'.

I think hacker is covered with this character if they are still active. http://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/3895952

@Ollumhammersong

Nah. I'll leave drones to you seeing as your character seems a little dependent on them. It would improve the teams information awarness if you can send one into the next room, perhaps even attach some kind of enemy impairment device (e.g a re-useable flashbang) to disable them before the strike team hits.

If Hailfire doesn't want it, I have a few ideas to make use of basic hacking knowledge. At the same time, I don't want Kaite to be too well-rounded (since specializing isn't the most possible option at this point)...though robotics still couldn't be any more 'nope'.

Maybe I'm over thinking things.

Well, Tahillie has his visor that hooks him up to the net work. Also a little jumper at the base of his skull too to get into the deeper parts of the networks that are hidden beyond the eyes of the Committee. His chair was designed for that purpose... And that's another reason why his room is a mess. XD

Heh, I'm not sure Kaite's eyepatch and operator gauntlet really compare. They're more for monitoring and entering preset commands. The more I think about it, the less feasible hacking sounds.
I suppose weapons expert, chef and standby pilot/security isn't so bad. No need to overcomplicate things.

But think of it this way. While in Cyberspace, time moves a lot faster. Every second spent in the real world, ten seconds has gone by in Cyberspace. I don't put too much detail into hacking into another network because it'll be boring and unnecessary writing that most won't understand, 〒▽〒 another reason why is because I'm too lazy to write that unnecessary part of it. ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

Yeah, I can't imagine that kind of filler would be horribly interesting without a light-handed comedic twist.
The answers about Tango changed my plans a little, what with the physical body.

@Hawlin invited me to take a look.

Does the ship have any need for a non-combatant? I've had this alien idea for a while, but she wouldn't be getting in any fights. Not unless they landed on specific types of planets, anyway.
