Violet glared at her mother as she spoke with the registrar and got the room information. Psylocke looked at her daughter and sighed in frustration. "Your things are already in your room. Here is the information you need." Violet was angry with her mother for making her go and not letting her stay at home. "Violet, come on....fine! I have to go now." Her mother walked over and hugged her tight. When she went to pull back to leave Violet hugged her tighter. "Please mom....I don't know anyone here." "You'll make friends, I promise. I have to go." There was an alarm sounding on her mothers wrist. "Fine!" Violet said. She watched her mother fly off.

After getting her papers she shoved it all into her tote bag and headed to the gym. She liked to pummel things when she fought with her mom. Once inside the gym she saw a crate with dodge balls and she used her telekinesis to start throwing them across the room and she would dodge them as they came back at her. Some of them she would punch. She missed seeing one of them and it knocked her down. Violet lay flat on her back catching her breath a moment.

Griffin chose to head to the gym since he wasn't having fight class he figured that he would work out. He changed back to his human form because he didn't need his enhanced senses. He titled his head curiously when he heard balls bouncing off the walls. It sounded like someone was practicing something. He was even more curious when he saw that there was only one girl in the gym. He smirked when one of the balls hit her. He walked over to her. "We have not seen you before. You must be new. My brother would insiston helping you. Do you wish our help?"

Violet blushed a little bit and put her arm up and said, "Yeah that would be great. I missed one and it knocked the wind out of me." After she was on her feet again she smiled. "I'm Violet Braddock and who are you?" Violet put her arm out and swirled her hand and pointed it and the dodge balls sort of stopped bouncing and slowly rolled back over to the crate and they bounced in on their own. "Finally!" She saw his expression and grinned. "Sometimes they don't do what I tell them too." She chuckled a little.

Griffin helped the girl to his feet. Not so much because he wanted to because he felt that he had to. Zack would never forgive him if he didnt use the manners that his brother had tried to teach him. Interacting wasnt his thing but he wasnt letting his brother out to interact with the girl. Which meant he had to do it. "You have Telekinesis. That is very interesting. Many here can do that. But your control is not good."

"Yes, I do. It depends on what I'm doing and how upset I am. I'm better with my technopathy and my martial arts is spot on. So what is your name and who is "we" and you mentioned your brother and asked me if I wanted "our" help. So what gives? You gotta mouse in your pocket?"

Griffin frowned and shook his head. A mouse? Why would he have a mouse in his pocket? What kind of person carried a mouse in their pocket? He would have to ask Zack if that was normal or not. But he was pretty sure it wasnt. "Technopathy? That is something to do with machines right? I dont know much about that stuff. Zack is the brains. I am the brawn. My name is Griffin. I dont have a mouse but I have a brother. You can't meet him though. I will not allow him out right now. We just had an attack and I am not sure it is safe for him or not."

Violet realized something and asked him "Griffin? Is Zack in there with you or does he have a different body? My mom had something similar happen to her once." Violet thought it was kinda strange that he might think she was dangerous. "Wait he can't come out because you think I'm dangerous?" She grinned at Griffin and shook her head."I'm no threat to him or you."

Griffin tilted his head again. He had never met anyone who had experience with people like him. It made him very curious about this girl. "Zack is inside right now. We share a body. We have been together almost eight years. It is my job to protect him. You must have missed the attack. I am not sure if you are a threat but I know that the woman that caused the darkness is. She is very dangerous."

Violet sat on the bench and patted the seat next to her for him. "There was an attack? And I missed it? What did she do? I wonder if I could have done anything. Was it a mental or physical attack?"

Griffin approached her slowly. He was trying to be friendly but it was his job to be wary of others. He took a seat beside her. "Yes there was an attack. About...fifteen minutes ago. Kalinda assured me that the woman wasnt really here. She said it was an illusion. All I know for sure was that it went completely dark. I needed assistance to break the illusion. I did not like asking for help or having someone else in my mind."

Violet looked at him and frowned for a moment. "A mental attack on a large group of people? Wow, I can block them on me because of my telepathy. If you were close to me I could have probably blocked it from your mind too. I must have gotten here right after it happened."

Violet got quiet for a minute. "I was arguing with my mom right before she left. I didn't want to come here because I didn't know anyone. Mom was right. I am already making friends." She smiled at him. "Where are we supposed to be right now?"

"Yes it was a mental attack on a large group which is why this woman, whoever she is, is very dangerous. Only a couple of people saw her. I think Kalinda did but she said it was too dangerous to hunt her. Which I did not like but she is right. We have no way to fight someone like that. I will not put Zack in danger. I do not know if you could have protected us or not. Our mind is not like most. " Griffin explained. He knew he was different even if he couldnt always understand how they were different. "You have made a friend?" He asked frowning. He hadnt seen anyone in here but maybe they had left before he had arrived. "That is good. I do not have many friends. Zack says I am antisocial. I say that I just do not understand others. We are very different but we make a good time. Usually it would be second period at this time. I would normally be in fighting classes but class were cancelled until after lunch."

Violet looked at Griffin and nodded, "They told me that we had no class til after lunch. Griffin," she chuckled. "You are the friend I made. You are the first person I've met. Hey, will Zack be able to access your memories of me or are you completely separate? Like if I say hi in the hall will he know me or no?"

"You think I am your friend?" Griffin asked uncertainly. It wasnt that he minded the idea just that he hadnt thought that she would see him as a friend so soon. Most people didnt adapt to his oddness so quickly. "Zack has access to the memories I allow him to access. Most of the time we are side by side. What he sees I see. But there are some things we do not allow the other to experience. Right now Zack as no access to the outside world so he will not know you until later."

Violet thought a moment and thought about that and grinned then nodded. "So why did you come into the gym? To get away from that chaos that the attack caused?"

Griffin shook his head. "No. I figured since I did not have fighting class I would work out. I had nothing else to do." He didnt have anyone else to spend the free time with since Kalinda was with Kyle. He would have to hunt them down at some point to make sure that the odd boy hadnt hurt his friend. "Why did you come here?"

"To get out my frustrations with my mom and to work on my tk. Trying to handle one thing at a time is one thing but to keep multiple things happening at the same time takes more concentration." Violet looked at her watch and groaned. "It's almost time for lunch isn't it? I suppose if I looked at my schedule I would know...." She pulled her schedule out and said "lunch is not far off. I guess I should find my room." She stood up and looked at Griffin for a moment. "Stand up a sec."

Griffin frowned at the order. He did not like being told what to do. He studied Violet for a minute considering whether to cooperate or not. He knew that Zack would tell him he was being silly and over sensitive and maybe he was but that didnt change how he felt. He stood to his full six foot six and looked down at her wondering what she was trying to do. "We know where the girls dorm is. Kalinda invited me to share pizza with her once."

Violet looked up at him and said, "Holy crap, you are really tall. Why didn't I realize that before? I'm 5'8" and you are making me feel short." She stood on the bench right next to him and then she was maybe an inch or two taller than he was. "Thank you for being nice to me Griffin." She hugged him. "Most people treat me like I'm very weird." She kissed his cheek and hopped down and grabbed her bag.

Griffin flinched at the hug. He wasnt used to physical affection. Their parents knew better then to touch him without warning. As the protector he tended to attack first and ask questions later. If he had know that she had planned to do that he would have moved away but since she surprised him he tolerated it. "I do not think you are any weirder then anyone here. Do you want me to show you the way to the dorm? It isnt far from here. The cafeteria has a good selection of food once you have put your stuff away."

Violet smiled and nodded. "I would like that." She walked out with Griffin and headed for the girls' dorms.

Griffin lead the way out to the gym. It was wierd to think that he had a friend. He didnt make friends easily. Once they were outside he headed towards the girls dorm. He had only been there once but he was good with directions so he knew where it was. "Do you know what room your in?"

She dug around in her bag. "Found it, it's room 208. So I guess we go upstairs. My mom said she had my stuff delivered already." She started up the stairs. She kept looking at his height. "I can't get over how tall you are." She chuckled to herself.

"You are lucky that she was able to get your stuff delived. We brought our own stuff. Our parents would have helped but we wanted to do it alone. We will be on our own when we graduate so it is important that we do what we can alone." Griffin explained. He paused at the door. "Do you wish me to go up with you. I can wait here."

Violet smiled and motioned him to follow her. "Come on up." She waited for him and then she found her room and opened the door. Violet was speechless. Her mother had had her room painted the same shade as her hair and all of her furniture including her desk was white with purple accents. She walked in slowly and looked around. "Wow, Mom really worked on this. Oh, Griffin I'm a rotten kid. I fought so hard against coming here...." Violet wiped the tears from her eyes.

Griffin followed Violet upstairs. He always felt out of place in the girls dorm. While it wasnt against the rules for him to be here it was frowned upon. He looked around when she opened the door to her room. It was clear that her mom had spent alot of time making the place perfect for her. "You are lucky that your mom cared enough to make your room so nice. You will have to find a way to repay her."

"Yes I will." She put her bag down and stuffed the necessities in her pockets. "Okay well she didn't leave anything for me to do so I guess we are done here." Violet looked at her room before locking the door back.

"I'm not... Panicking! It's the beast, he was surprised by the light!" Arachne's voice visibly strained as she tried to reel the Black Beast back. She also heard the girl's word about this being an illusion, but was actively disbelieving it all it took? She supposed that if she didn't know it was an illusion, Arachne would have never thought to "disbelieve" it, but it seemed like a stretch. She tried to not believe in the darkness around her, though her mind was somewhat distracted by reigning in the Black Beast.

"Calm down dammit, it was just a flash!" Arachne shouted at the Black Beast as it continued to lash out. Fortunately Arachne had kept the beast back from any students, but she was still blinded by the darkness around her. She was just too preoccupied to simple disbelieve in the illusion. Only suddenly, everything went back to normal. Arachne could see her fellow students, her surroundings, and more importantly she could see where the Black Beast was. Mustering as much control as she could, she created a boney appendage that reached out and tore the mask off the Black Beast. This was all she needed to force the monster back inside of her as she fell to the ground with a thud.

"Oooooow..."

The girl who had emerged from the beast collapsed to the floor, and, recognising that the danger had passed, Rebekah immediately went to help her. She knelt down to lean over Arachne's face, and took one of her hands in her own.
"Hey, are you OK there? How can I help?"

She received only a groan in response, so she continued on a different tack.
"Hey, it's OK. You're safe now. You hear me? Everything is going to be OK. The danger has passed, and you're safe now. The darkness has gone, you're in human form, nobody is hurt, and we're surrounded by good people. You're safe now, so just come on into the light, and we'll get you whatever help you need, OK?"

Katherin was curious about this new girl. She had a feeling that Tsura was different from anyone she met. She had met alot of different people traveling with her father and here at the academy. She took a seat beside Phoebe. She didnt want to make Tsura cold. Sometime those around her could feel her cold. It usually only happened when she was upset. Which she had been not that long ago. Tsura grinned an said I love it so far Katherin it's so lively though I'm sure my mom won't be happy if our previous intruder proves dangerous.

I do love finally having friends outside of the Brotherhood who walk on eggshells because they're afraid of offending my dad.

I've never had so much freedom though I am worried about the combat test because I presently can only dazzle a foe or burn a hole right through them.

It's embarrassing to admit that I can lose control of myself when I'm emotionally pushed and I'm worried I'll hurt someone.

Violet was going over her schedule and wondered if her next class was advanced technology. She wondered if everyone else would be friendly like Griffin had been. She was really wishing that she knew someone in here. Violet got a little nervous when she was stared at by people and she always felt like they were staring at her.

She opened her notebook and looked at her schedule and saw that her class with Natasha Romanoff was later in the day. She smiled. She knew she would do well in that one. She had fought side by side with her mom before using only martial arts and it was a life and death situation. She didn't tell people about it because they thought she was lying or bragging so she decided to keep that to herself.

"Urg... I'm fine, I'm fine. Please don't patronize me." Lights were still flashing in her eyes and giving Arachne vertigo. She just looked up and pressed her fingers against her eyelids. Once she blinked the dots out of her eyes, she was fine. A bit hungry, but fine. As she tried to get up she bumped heads with Rebekah and groaned. "Ow! Why are you so close to my face!?" Scooting away from the girl Arachne tried to regain her bearings and eventually was able to get back to her feet. She had a lot of questions, but she guessed that this sort of nonsense was going to be regular for this school. "Jeez, that was weird. Ah, if you're still offering to help, mind telling me what class we're suppose to be in right now? I'm guess from all the students who just left, we're suppose to be in second period. Also if you could get me like, fifteen big macs, that'd be great." Arachne was starting to feel the Black Beast's hunger again. Or maybe she just wanted to eat. Either or.

Kalinda knew that this was dangerous for her, knew that if she let herself spiral too far out of control, that it could cause something similar to what led her to the school.

There was a spark of fear, and she pulled away gently. "We might have to go slow, for a bit. I feel like my nerves are shot to pieces" but it didn't seem as bad as the las time. Nd she didn't feel like she was going to just completely lose control.

"It just...feels so good" she murmured sleepily.

"Don't worry about it" Phoebe said, friendly, "that's why we are here, to train our powers and learn about them. Mimic seeks to test your abilities first hand, to then know how he can best help train you" she said, managing to poke the small plant creature, and cause it to bloom a flower right ontop of its head. It made a motion like it was sneezing, and Phoebe gave a small laugh.

"Even I don't know just how far this minion will go, but it likes you well enough. So maybe we can learn together" she said with a smile, "my mother can do a lot of stuff I can, and I can do a few things she can't too. Like these minions.

I had to keep a tight hold on my powers growing up. Losing control wasn't an option, but a few students struggle with control. You're not alone, Tsura. We will all help you"

The sound of pounding cloven hooves echoed as a strange creature ran to the entrance of the academy. Barreling through with a rather unamused looking fox held in its mouth by the scruff. When they entered the creature tossed the fox who twisted as they fell and landed as a boy with white and grey hair and what appeared to be a kitsune mask on his head.
"Brother I know you're mad, but throwing me is very rude. Besides you need to lighten up." Jasper straightened and dusted off.

The brother in question became a much taller male with dark hair that covered his left eye. He crossed his arms. "You made me late to the first day. I have every right to be upset. Especially since most of the time was dealing with your hair."

Jasper rolled his eyes. "I had to look good. Have to make a good impression after all"

Hachi tilted his head. "I am fairly certain being this late is not very helpful with that" he then tossed a white back pack at his brother who caught it with a huff.

"whatever"
"Come on we are late enough...."

Jasper grinned while Hachi rolled his eyes again. Jasper walked in front while Hachi followed until they found the cafeteria. They already knew their schedule and both were in the same classes. For while they were very different they had interest in the same classes.

Violet kept looking at the clock. Without anything to do waiting in the cafeteria was the only thing she knew to do. She couldn't understand why gym was right after they ate. Seemed like an odd thing to do in scheduling. Suddenly the doors opened and two guys came in. Violet was extremely aware that she was the only other person in the room. She wasn't afraid, just a little nervous since she didn't know them. She smiled at them. "Hi, I'm Violet. No class til after lunch so I'm waiting in here. You guys get here late too?"

Violet was trying to remember where Griffin went and wishing he were here.

Hachi blinked at the girl and seemed to recede internally. His face remaining blank as Jasper lit up. He stepped forward and grinned. "Yea we came late. I'm Jasper that's my brother Hachi." as he introduced Hachi he stood with confidence and jerked a thumb toward the taller brother.

Hachi tilted his head and rolled his eyes. He gave a small wave and remained more silent. Jasper studied the girl then bowed slightly. "It's good to meet you. No matter how grumpy mr. Brooding seems."

That earned a slight hit to the back of the head from Hachi. He then picked up his younger brother and moved him. "Not everyone enjoys someone in their personal space." his voice was deep yet soft. A sign that the owner of the voice was often soft spoken and may remind people of the King of Wakanda's voice.

Jasper crossed his arms and grumbled. "You gotta stop randomly picking me up dude" Hachi stuck his hands in his hoodie pockets. "I will when you stop doing things that make me move you"

I just worry a bit because of thermal energy or flashing too brightly and blinding people.

Then there's spectrum control which can cause ultraviolet radiation burns or Infrared heat

Then Tsura looked at the minion
I have managed to study how light affects life.

It's funny if you think about it.

This little creature is feeding off of me in a symbiotic relationship

Griffin hadnt wanted to leave Violet. It wasnt good to have anyone alone after the attack. But he couldn't take her into the boy's bathroom. It wasn't quite time for lunch so she had been alone in the cafeteria. He hurried as quickly as he could. He frowned when he entered to find two new arrivals talking to Violet. He growled low in his throat. He did not like strangers. He stormed over to the new arrivals. "We see you have met Violet. You must also be new. You are late. You need to check in with the office. After the attack we are sure that they want to know who is on the grounds."

Katherin nodded. She understood what it was like to be afraid of one's powers. "I understand your fear Tsura. I was very afraid of my power last year. I had lost control a couple of times. I wouldn't use my power to their full extent. I am still very hesitant to do so. The thing to remember is that we are all dangerous in different ways. We have to learn from each other. We will be here to help you in anyway that we can."

Both boys looked over at the guy who approached. Jasper heard the growl and met it with his own while Hachi simply studied the guy. Hachi raised a brow. "An attack?" Jasper huffed. "Probably should go to the office then. I know why don't you two come with us?" Hachi ran a hand through his hair and then sighed.

"Jasper" Jasper looked at his brother. "What? They were in here by themselves. This is an opportunity to meet people. You know that thing you hate doing" Hachi crossed his arms before shrugging. The movement made his own black backpack move. He then turned and started to leave.

Jasper shrugged at violet and the other guy then made motions for them to follow the two brothers. "Come on." as he moved he become his kitsune form and trotted after Hachi. "Wait you freakishly tall person"

Violet smiled when Griffin came back. Her expression changed to a slight blush when he growled and spoke to Jasper and Hachi the way he did. He seemed quite willing to be on the protective duty even with her. She looked like she might say something else to the brothers but she looked at Griffin instead. She understood his protective side and she kind of liked it. She figured she would ask him a question, so she sat on the table and swung her legs over and slid onto the bench next to him.

Violet looked him square in the eye and asked him "So are you a dog person or a cat person? I'm a dog person. I miss my puppy already. My mom said I'm an animal lover because they give unconditional love. She also says that I'm one of those touchy, huggy people. I guess she is right about that because I've already hugged and kissed you." Violet blushed. "I guess it's obvious that I went to private school. Not enough interaction with others." She quit talking for a moment and closed her eyes. She used her TK to lift herself into the air and dance with an invisible partner. "Griffin would you dance with me?"

Holding Kijani close in the hug, Connor decided that that was the best thing about the day so far. "Well, how about we go for a stroll and find somewhere quite to talk?" Apart from the fact the school was full of students, there was the increased security. In anycase, it would simply be nice to have Kijani to himself, for a little bit.

Besides, it was a nice day. They might as well take advantage of the free hours, and have a little bit of fun as well.

"I would like that." She'd like nothing more than a whole quiet day with Connor. Maybe they could make up some of the time now, and some later. Kijani slipped her hand into his, smiling up at him. "Let's walk. Tell me how your summer went. I know you worked with your dad mostly, but..." She shrugged slightly. "You seem different somehow. Like, your confidence level got an upgrade." She grinned wide, stroking his chest with a fingertip.

"It is insanely attractive."

The second the announcement went out overhead and throughout the school, Nakajima looked up to one of the many speakers stationed around the school, she listened to the announcement telling her that all of the morning classes were canceled. She looked over to Jin who looked like she calmed down a bit, after hearing Jin say she was hungry and asking what Naka wanted to do. Emily smiled before saying." Well, I want to make sure you not hungry for one thing and I guess whatever happens after that, happens." Nakajima knew that Jin wouldn't want to just sit around for hours knowing how active and almost manic Jin could be when she was bored and didn't have anything to do." Maybe after we eat I could train with you see how well your skills have been coming along, actually how about a Race to the lunch room ? I'll give you a headstart."

"I can take care of myself, Naka. You don't need to handicap your speed for me. I can beat you, and I can do it on foot!" Jin was quite agile over short distances, and would probably be able to back up her boast in a dead sprint. However, the cafeteria was probably a little longer than she could maintain full speed. She was barely five foot tall, and Deathstroke had always mentioned that her mother had been a petite woman. It hadn't diminished her mental strength or fighting capability at all. Still, she was hoping to at least get longer legs before she stopped growing. Being short was just... embarrassing.

Jin took a runner's pose, dark eyes flashing with glee. "Ready? Set? GO!" And she took off without even waiting, starting at a normal speed and building acceleration.

As Hachi walked his brother ran around his legs causing a sigh and a few eye rolls. "Jasper....why do you insist on this." he recieved no answer from the nine tailed doc until they reached the office. Hachi walked in, held the door open for a grey blur to run past him then walked to the desk.

"Hello I apologize for my brother and I being late." the lady at the desk tilted her head. "I am Hachi and this" he picked up the fox who proceeded to pose and shift to human. Jasper grinned. "Jasper. The awesome one" Hachi felt a headache coming on and pinched the bridge of his nose. The lady typed some things and handed them their keys and room assignments. They were next door to each other which was good.

The exited the office and Jasper stretched. "I say we go back to the cafeteria." Hachi shook his head. "Gym?" Hachi nodded and started walking. He put his key on a key ring in his bag before Jasper shoved him and took off running. His form becoming fox as he ran. Hachi snorted.

"My legs are longer then yours" Hachi showed a small moment of teenage hood and took off after his brother his form melding into his other form. Cloven hooves hitting the ground after the grey kitsune. Considering they were in the open they were in full view of anyone in seeing distance.

Griffin was distracted from the two new arrivals by Violet's question. He blushed and looked away uncomfortablely. "If you wish to dance you will have to wait for Zack. I do not know how. It isnt sonething I have ever had to learn." he hoped thst she didn't think he was stupid. His skills were limited to those necessary for survival. Dancing was for fun. He didnt have any fun skills. Atleast by most people's definition of fun.

"We can work on other skills if you like." Griffin offered. He didnt want her t k get bored with him. He knew he was not the interestingredients brother. It wad on of the reasons Zack did most of the socializing. He wasn't very good with people. He tended to be too blunt.

He was watching out the window as a way to avoid Violet's eyes. He saw a fox and horse go running past. It was an odd sight. Where there other shape shifters? He hadn't met many that could change shape the way he did. He would have to find out who they were.

Elliott wandered around a bit enjoying herself as she explored the campus looking at the buildings and then the landscaping. And as she wandered around El couldn't help but eavesdrop using her communications skill to disassemble the mosaic of noise.

She could hear everything around herself as if she were sitting with each group she passed. She knew she shouldn't but it was just too tempting.

Soon she was at the edge of a tiny pond and saw a girl who appeared to be a snow haired chocolate skinned mermaid at water's edge.

Having never observed a mermaid before El stood by quietly hoping not to shatter the tranquility of the scene before her.
