Chris went home after the meeting planning to spend the rest of his night at least getting a prototype built for the communicators. He lived in one of the top floor apartments. At his complex the apartments on the top floor were bigger than those below it, so of course it costed a bit more but it does allow Chris the free space to invent new things. More or less his apartment was probably messier than even the smaller ones on the lower floors. Upon entering he took his mask off and put on his glasses, and pulled up a chair at his "workbench" and began drafting up ideas.

Chris threw on his mask before walking into the back alley and entering the Archer. He walked into the same room from last night and saw others were already there waiting. He walked to a table in the middle of the room and placed down his duffel bag on it. He unzipped it and dug around in it till he found the box containing the communicators. "Since last night I've been busy engineering our source of communication for the mission, and so I bring you these communicators. They are designed to be earpieces figuring we would have an easier time with a hands free device in combat. They are also water proof as an added bonus." he explained placing the box beside his bag allowing everyone to come and take one.

As Chris could see that other people were beginning to trickle out of the room, he decided the time was right for him to make his way home as well. After saying look at the masked woman one more time, he glided out of the open door before landing on the floor. The bar now had nobody left in it, so he told the other workers that they could leave. He walked out before closing and locking the door behind him. Chris made his way back to his apartment. It was a decently nice place. Although it did need a bit of a clean, Chris noted. It had been a long night, and Chris placed his phone next to his bed before he slept to remind himself to take it when they all met up tomorrow.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day, Chris was flying over the city to get to The Archer. The cool air in his face felt amazing whenever he was flying high. He had decided to put on his yellow and black hoodie, as he always did when he was fighting crime. He looked down and saw the roof of the archer below, and started to descend. He landed on the roof and jumped down outside the door and strolled in, past the bar and down the corridor to the back room. He decided to have a little fun, and floated so he was on the ceiling, and then crawled over the top of the door frame, and onto the ceiling of the back room. He called out a hello to everyone down below. He seemed to have been the last one to arrive.

He spotted Luna talking to Rose, and the Atlantean guy wearing what seemed to be a suit of armour. Chris sighed to himself. Could this guy get any more cocky? He floated down onto the ground and said to Joshua - "Nice costume bud." as he attempted to hold in the urge he had to laugh.

Preferring to wait until everyone had entered the room, Jacque had saw it fit to remain relatively quiet beyond a chipper greeting to each of the team as they arrived one by one, the only other noises that came from the bokor up until that point being the occasional shifting sound beneath his hat, and the soft, rhythmic tapping of his foot on the small duffel bag that sat on the floor before him. He'd watched as the team interacted whilst waiting for others to arrive, noting with no small amount of amusement the way Roxy had acted towards Luna. 'Hoo boy, we might have us a love triangle on our hands' He thought with a sly grin before his gaze flickered over to Luna. For a moment he pitied her, from her reaction last night to the idea of everyone using phones the girl sounded as though she was the sort who had to pinch pennies to get by. He wished he could help, however he was only slightly better off than she was, plunging a majority of his funds into rent, car insurance, phone bills, and groceries in addition to buying whatever spell components he couldn't grow or forage for on his own. What little remained was set aside so that he could one day open up his shop.

Jacque's thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of the remainder of the group, and by Chris' announcement regarding his development of an alternative means of communication. "Well alright Fang! Way t'pull through dude!" He chirped before rising from his seat, being careful to neither step on his own bag for allow his hat to fall off. Jacque sauntered over and quickly plucked up one for himself, taking a moment to marvel at the little earpiece for a moment before he gave thanks to the genius for his contribution. "Well then, guess i'd better pull my own weight around here too, no?" He asked no one in particular prior to returning to the bag and opening it with flourish. At first glance the bag simply seemed to be filled with multiple towels, however as Jacque plunged his hand into it to rummage around, the clinking sounds that emanated from within soon proved that this was not the case. "Golemn...scroll...aha! Here we are!" He shouted before producing from the bag a small corked glass bottle.

The liquid within the bottle was nearly neon green in coloration and sloshed around thickly within it's container as the bokor waved the bottle back and forth. "I whipped us all up a few health potions for in case things get dicey. I didn't exactly have the necessary prep time to make something really potent, so don't go expecting 'em to be much good if someone takes a shotgun blast to the chest point blank, but they should be fairly useful in fixing just about anything short of a broken bone or serious bullet wound. Just don't go drinking them if you're perfectly healthy; the results...well, they aren't pretty." he said with a slightly nervous chuckle, "Oh! Also, fair warning, I haven't really figured out how to manipulate how they taste. They always seem to come out either as super sour or a mildly unpleasant bitter. All to more reason not to get hurt really.".

Rose blinked in surprise. She hadn't honestly expected Luna to take the phone so easily and gracefully, making her give Luna a curious glance before looking to Nevan for a moment. Though as soon as she heard Luna asking to put her number in it, she felt a definite blush glow on her face, but tried her best to keep her composure. "Uh.. y-yeah, sure.." She bit her lip for a brief moment and went about typing it in before handing it back and smiling shyly at the promise.

Though her gaze wandered over to Joshua for a moment and raised a slight eyebrow. 'Pride issues?' she asked herself, catching bits of the man's body language and emotion - though not nearly on any level like Luna. Her eyes then went to the beautiful demoness and smiled slightly, as if quietly urging the woman to then offer the prince the unclaimed phone. Deciding not to say much, she slowly undid her cloak - nervously even - and let it hit the floor before kicking it away. The reveal was that of prismatic, glossy dragonfly wings that were definitely large enough to allow Rose to fly. Besides Nevan and Joshua, she was the only meta-being with obvious mutations, but she did feel a bit more comfortable showing off with those two in the room.

Shifting a bit before shooting Luna a glance, her attention was grabbed when Chris poured all of the com devices on the table, making Firefly widened her eyes slightly in interest. It was amazing how fast he had put them together just in one day! Though they were obviously better than phones, she was still happy to have offered hers to Luna. Then shortly after, Simbi spilled potions onto the table, drawing even more interest from the redhead. "Wow..." was all she could say as she gingerly went up to the table and thumbed both the coms and the magical potions.

While Joshua was waiting for a reaction concerning the phone after Luna took one, Chris helped him out unknowingly by presenting the communicators. He even made them waterproof which was obviously geared mostly to Joshua himself and still useful for the rest of the team. The young Atlantean was actually quite impressed that Fang was able to create something like that in basically one night.

His raised mood was immediately torn down again after the other Chris appeared. "Nice costume bud.", Hoverfly mocked Joshua. To disrespect, even in the slightest way, his royal armour and by proxy his atlantean heritage and even more importantly his grandfather and greatest hero was nothing Joshua would let slide. He was pressing his hand so hard into the wall he was leaning on that his handprint was perfectly visible in the stone. Keep it together... don't let him get under your skin... You could destroy him in a second... Nothing he says matters...

When the Voodoo Priest made his presentation Joshua was still visibly crunching his teeth. "I hope they also heal Atlanteans and Demons? I am not completely bulletproof. But still you and Fang both are resourceful. Consider me impressed." He had just finished uttering those words when Rose showed her full appearance. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Joshua had seen things most people in this rooms would never witness, deep sea caverns, corals shining like tiny stars, swarms of fish with colours not known on the surface... But those wings were a thing they now all witnessed. And they were a thing of dreams...

Joshua actually needed a moment to take his eyes of them, "Quite a remarkable mutation."
When he stopped glaring at Rose for a few seconds he quickly turned away and unfortunately his eyes met those of Hoverfly. "And you, thank you for the compliment. It is the armor of atlantean royalty, like the one worn by my grandfather. Aquaman. Founding member of the Justice League. You might have heard of him in your history lessons if you even attended.", he pointed at him with his trident, "And don't you dare even disrespect his legacy in the slightest way, he was more of a man, more of a hero than any of us could ever hope to be. I am blessed by all the gods to be even able to share his blood and I wont let you, OR ANYONE ELSE, mock his legacy and not pay for it with blood!"
The young prince punched a hole in the wall behind him, "This is my first and last warning. And only because you said it unknowingly." The blue eyes of Joshua swept through the room, then he caught himself again, "So the plan from last night still stands?"

Luna yawned as Joshua spoke and said someone that has to puff themselves up so much they are all talk and no bite obviously has issues she thought to herself, giving Rose a smile when the girl looked to her, admiring her wings. Luna was jealous-she'd give anything to be able to fly. She thought it would be so amazing. She slipped the phone in the back pocket of her pants, ensuring it was secuire, before she went and grabbed a com. She didn't know how good they'd be, but she still took one.

She then retreated back to where she had been, as she surveyed the groups emotions. It seemed important to make sure they were all level, that they weren't about to panic or lose control, and she analysed them all, sticking to the surface so she wouldn't delve into their deeper emotions, merely searching for that quick flash of panic.

Everyone seemed okay.

Luna let out a slow breath, before she spoke up. "I can't promise my illusions will hold long. I can't promise they will be effective. But I'll try. I just thought you guys should know, in case something goes wrong"

ShadowNinja/Jacklyn

Jacklyn felt really under-dressed for this battle then again she was wondering why everyone was thinking they were going into a big war. But then again they can't all block bullets with swords and hide in shadows but she does find it cool looking at their armor or their 'battle form'. Jacklyn smiled when she saw all the comms spill out on the table grabbing one after a few of the others went before going back to her spot behind everyone.
The ninja was curious as to how this was going to play out and honestly she was excited. She hasn't busted a whole operation in a long time and it was possibly not going to be her last. When Luna spoke Jacklyn felt for the her she walks over putting a hand on Luna's shoulder.

"I'm sure it will hold long enough for us to get them." Jacklyn says with a small smile.

A low whistle of amazement escaped Jacque's lips as he witnessed the grand unfurling of Rose's wings. It was at times such as this that he envied metahumans and their natural gifts. He began to ponder much easier would things be for him if he didn't actually have to spend nearly every moment of his free time talking to spirits, pouring over one spell book after another, or brewing only god knew how many experimental potions until he got the mix right. Joshua's violent reaction to being mocked snapped Jacque from his inner musings, eliciting from the bokor a small gasp of surprise. He settled himself for a moment, then gave a somewhat forced chuckle. No one seems to have any issue with the plan from what he could tell "I think everyone's just about agreed to adhere to their role. So yeah, plan still stands.".

Blüdhaven City Docks, Pier Six
October 7, 2166
1900 EDT

A cold wind swept through the docks of Blüdhaven as the icy chill of winter drew ever nearer. A sky that only a month ago would have still been illuminated with the warm rays of light from the sun rapidly darkened as the star dipped below the horizon, bathing the city instead in the pale light of a waxing moon. A large man by the name of Gregory Barton huddled into the warm faux fur that lined his coat to stave off the bite of the icy wind. He hated the cold with a passion, and wished for all the world that he could be somewhere warmer. Cameroon for example, or maybe Fiji. Fiji was probably a good place to be right about now. His position as Jacob Black's right hand man ensured that he had more than enough money to make the trip- as well as ensure that he'd get hold of some quality blow to snort off of some chick's stomach- but then money wasn't the issue. The issue right now was a client by the name of Cornelius Chesterfield Cobblepot, a brat with more money than sense and an obsession with telling people about- and trying to imitate- his ancestor, The Penguin.

Rather than just entrusting the guns being brought in to be handled to just any batch of workers in Jacob's ranks, Cobblepot had kicked up a fuss and shelled out big bucks with the insistence that only the best of Jacob's men would do for this job. Of course that now meant that good old Greg had to sit out in the cold for god knew how long as he oversaw the operation. A bunch of bribed security and police officers, a dozen armed men for security, another dozen for moving the goods, a boatload of guns, and a moving truck, all in all neat little operation had been put under Greg's supervision. It was nice to know that he was trusted to do a job for such a lofty, albeit extremely annoying client. After a quick check in with the guards and Jacob made his way into one of the warehouses that sat along the dock. He had to be there, but he'd be damned if he sat out in the cold the whole time.

The security team continued along their designated routes as their boss went to shelter himself from the cold, all the while unaware of the team of heroes waiting in the darkness for their opportunity to strike.

Luna sat almost peacefully, her eyes closed, reaching out almost tentatively, she let her mind brush over the emotions around her. The team, by now she was familiar with them, were pushed back to the side as she touched the emotions of the security team. one swift bout of fear, and I could send them running. But we want to be stealth. That doesn't seem stealth she thought to herself. And apart from that, she wasn't sure if she could truly coerce that many. Instead, she merely kept track of them, waiting for any sign that they had been spotted. She was ready at a moments notice to send out an illusion, going for what would be similar to a timed loop on a camera. They simply wouldn't see her team. It was up to the others to be quite and not bump into them, elsewise the illusion was broken.

Finally, when she felt like she had located all their opponents, she gave a nod, opening her eyes, although she was nervous. This wasn't simply stopping someone from raping, or stealing. This was more, with high stakes. She hoped her illusions didn't fade. She hoped she didn't pass out or something. She drew in a breath, and let it out slowly, "I think I located all the guards. None seem particularly wary" She spoke softly to the group.

Nevan

Neval hovered in the air, some distance above the ground and just far away above that with the light distorted around her, no one would notice her, especially in the sunset and with the advent of night, she would be even able to not use light distortion as no one on the ground would be able to see her.

Her wings were spread wide in a way that normally would give her quite the domineering presence, but not right now. This magic of hers, kept her protected. One of her eyes was closed for a little while, before she finally opened it. There was a small glowing triangle across her iris. Her tagging spell was completed and just in time too as Luna reported she was ready also.

“Great, I'm also in position and ready.” She stated, starting to look at all the possible enemies and tag them within her magic. Once Luna put all of the baddies in visual illusion, the moment that illusion was broken, Nevan was going to spread quite the darkness across the pier. Especially since with the night upon them, her magic power was on the rise.

She rose both her hands, in her left hand a black sphere formed, that was swallowing all the light around it, giving it the appearance of a miniature black sun, while above her right hand was hovering a small golden energy glyph, ready for her to activate her light magic.

“I'm on position and ready. Leave support and covering fire for me after the battle starts.” She stated, swinging her tail in a pleased manner. Those down on the ground had no idea what was in store for them... tonight they were going to be taught a lesson about following the path of evil!

Hoverfly

The silence was deafening in the night. But at once, something cut through it.

Crunch

It was a potato chip packet. Chris took them out carefully and crunched down as he watched down below. As far as he knew, everyone was in their set position. Chris liked to hover above the ground on long, boring nights. But tonight was definitely not a long, boring night. This was going to be his first crimefight in ages. He heard a voice over his phone and spoke, rather muffled, into it. "Yeah, I'm ready here in position. See anything on the ground?". Chris could see a little way away, also in the air, the demon girl was floating, doing some weird magic stuff with her hands.

Chris floated over to get a better look. A black sphere and some golden thing were floating around her. Chris didn't really get the whole magic thing. It wasn't as if he hadn't been exposed to it at all, it was just a really foreign concept for a country boy from upstate New York. Then again, it was probably a really foreign concept for well, everyone. Everyone who wasn't a demon at least. He cleared his throat and then said to the demon girl, in a curious manner - "Hey, that's really cool. What will that do to the people on the ground, exactly?"

ShadowNinja/ Jacklyn

Among the shadows crouching eyes closed listening to the footsteps and breathing of the henchmen. They all are relaxed and pretty unaware of what was about to happen. Jacklyn had brought an ear peice that came with her phone. She usually used her phone but she needs both hands free if things go south last thing she needs to worry about is her phone.

" I am in position." She mutters before looking up seeing distant figures,"Ready when you are."

She released the button letting out a small sigh going back to watching the henchmen walk by. Jacklyn felt nothing but pity for the boss of this mafia for having such careless guards. Then again, careless is dangerous so she can't gauge on how this will go.
