If I were to make a sanctioned psyker. What would the limits on that starting character be? Obviously not beta level powerful.
But primaris psyker powerful? Or more ordinary battle psyker/senior astropath kind of power?
Going off the Primaris Psyker abilities on the wiki, I'd say take 1 or 2 "spells" from one "school" or 2 from 2 different schools. You're a capable RPer, I've seen you RP multiple times, I trust in your judgement in making a rational choice :)
I'll admit I don't play the table top or any of the games but I always find 40K lore to be extremely interesting.
I was wondering if a Confessor would be an available class(Is that right? Class?) for me to make a character for.
Its more of a role/henchman/acolyte/retinue sorta deal but yes, a Confessor would be more than reasonable (and appriciated) to make an appearance in an Inquisitorial Retinue.

Alright sounds good! I'll get working on it today.
A few notes, though; I'm pretty familiar with all the wh40k lore but I'll be honest, I've barely read or played any of the books or games. My 'big picture' knowledge is much better then my 'small picture', in other words. So I might be learning on the job a little lmao
Name: Elijah Woods
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Appearance: Elijah Woods is a fairly tall and well-built individual, just reaching six feet and an inch tall (1.85 meters~) and 200 pounds (90 kg~). He's fairly tanned, and his simple, efficient mannerisms show a history of hard work. In the simplest terms, he's a fairly standard, if somewhat heavy-set, agri-worlder.
More uniquely, Elijah's frame shows a history of short, intense bursts of combat; a few wounds and bruises still healing here and there, a scar on his left cheek and another across his right eye are almost obviously from different engagements, befitting someone who's served some time in the Imperial Guard. Still, he's in quite good condition, considering the realities of such duties.
His most interesting, but not often seen feature is a series of marks on his backside, odd tattoos complimenting wounds that, on close inspection, could be explained by a round or two of flogging, however, with the 'accuracy' of the marks, it's hard to tell if it was self-flagellation or from a different person.
Elijah keeps fairly decent care of items afforded to him; his equipment, ranging from his lasgun to his shoes, is cleaned regularly to a quite reasonable standard. Actual clothes wise, he wears a fairly standard IG jumpsuit under whatever else he's wearing, which, when allowed, can range from carapace armor to standard civilian fare. On the latter, he does his damnedest to 'blend in', but his knowledge on dressing himself is lacking.
Former Occupation: In his earliest years, Elijah was a common agri-world worker, toiling in the fields to feed the Imperium. When the planet's tithe to the Imperial Guard came knocking when he was a young man, he ran off to join the Imperial Guard, which he served dutifully for almost a decade before a certain inquisitor found him.
Equipment: Woods equips; 1 Merovech Pattern Assault Lasgun, a close-combat model that features a bayonet and the ability to load two power packs. 4 Lasgun Power Packs 1 Set of Flak Armor 1 Combat Knife 2 Krak Grenades 2 Frag Grenades
Notable Events: Woods served in the Imperial Guard for nine years, but, relatively recently his utility as an Acolyte was shown. While reinforcing the PDF of a civilized world, Aalpii I, against an Ork WAAAGH!, he was cut off from allies when a chaos cult on the planet sought to make their move in the confusion. Forced to take residence in an apartment complex where refugees and survivors were holding up, Elijah guarded a group of fifty against both the Orks and Heretics, managing to kill an Ork Nob who was personally insulted by the fact that one 'umie' could stay alive so long.
Time With Inquisitor: Elijah is a very new addition to Karthis' retinue, and is unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the Imperium's secret police.
Oooh. Another one. The last one I was in died after the TO abandoned it, hopefully this one shall not meet the same fate.
Are we allowed terminator armor? What chapters are disallowed? (I see that Grey Knight denial on the first page) Are there any particular weapons/positions disallowed?

Basically no Astartes at all at least due to right now, being chalked up as Karthis lacking enough inquesitorial influence to get on as part of his retinue.
As for weapons/positions, just be reasonable and you should be good. Don't go carrying about something like a dozen digital weapons, a trio of conversation beamer and chainswords coming out of the ass as Daemonhost or something.
I'd love to be either a Space Wolf, Black Templar, Imperial Fists, or Salamander <.<
I had a quick question: Would playing an abhuman be out of the question? I was thinking of playing a ratling, but you had said human only, so I'm not sure.

Given that Karthis is a radical leaning Inquisitor, I wouldn't be too surprised he would let one in. Might want to check with @The Emperors Blade tho
@Andreyich After further GM review, its been decided in accordance to the acceptance of a potential abhuman addition to the Retinue, your Squad idea is acceptable.
So I've played with the idea of being a Blank but that wouldn't work well with any Psykers we have. I don't think an Acolyte would work as the Inquisitor we have seems to be newly appointed or not fondly seen upon. So would a Secutor Techpriest be an option at all? If not I'd like to be a Verminspeaker, since it seems to fit well with the radical side of the Inquisior and would be quite different from anyone else that wants to also be a Psyker.
If such an idea is applicable I'd like @Ollumhammersong to share his thoughts, as he has already talked of a Psyker. (apologies to anyone else whom I've missed)

I frickin' love you and the GM.
Also, Squats have not been wholly retconned, they have been mentioned in 6th/7th ed codexes, and it was written that a large portion of Teng Nematjira's forces are "short, stocky abhumans from advanced high gravity worlds," which is literally a definition of Squats.
@Brink Both ideas would be neat and interesting but I say lean for the techpreist since we already have 2 potential psykers barring the Inquisitor himself (Ollum and someone else I have been talking to on the RP's discord chat). A Secutor would grant the retinue some valuable technological expertise even if they are more combat oriented than Engineseers.
@AndreyichThere's also the Demiurg, a Tau auxiliary race that are basically space dwarf nomads on giant ships. You can see them here:
@agentmanatee I assume you are the other Psyker then. Unfortunately having suggested it I'm already quite fond of the Verminspeaker idea. How would you feel about that? If Ollumhammersong is also going to be a Psyker I'd like to know his thoughts too.
Demiurg are filthy xenos, no thanks. Besides, I thought no sanctioned xenos in this RP? For the Squat, I would make either a former Guildmaster for the techie stuff, a Hearthguard for the headsmashing, or a Living Ancestor for the dorf magics.

They are but I just though you might find them cool
Honestly I'd say either Guildmaster or Hearthguard seeing as we have a possible 3 psykers in the retinue.
