Location: Great. Now I’m surrounded by them.

SQUAD and Rhett.

Summer & Jackson at the end @Altered Tundra
Time: BOYS.

Connor, hearing a familiar voice fill his ears, turned to look behind him. Like the Avengers, the boys had assembled at his cries. Suddenly taken aback at the site of his squadron reformed, Connor let out a horribly unattractive sob, a few tears falling before he shook himself to regain composure as Ty, raised up a green glow stick, waving it around. Ty… Ty was more glow stick than person: a necklace, at least six bracelets on each arm, of various colors, a huge necklace around his neck, and the frame of his sunglasses had been outlined by the neon colored objects. ”What’s good, fam? We’re back from the dungeon. Well, yo, the… relative dungeons. Different dungeons. Look… we back. We in bidniss. We back once a-motherfucking-gain.”

”I didn’t think you’d ever come back! Sweet! Look, I told you he’d like the neon sticks.” Connor said, looking over at Rhett and gesturing at Ty. Alyssa, in the background, visibly cringed. Yay, the ‘Elite,’ or whatever the fuck they called themselves nowadays, were back. There goes the neighborhood. And the business at hand.

”We ain’t goin’ nowhere, man. We’re brothers till the end. Remember our thing?” It was Leon that spoke now, seemingly no longer upset about the comments of him sucking cock. As his friend spoke, Ty moved over to Connor, throwing a lit-up arm around Connor’s shoulder and glancing over at Rhett.

”My friend. Do you know who you’re hanging out with right now?! That’s El Jefe man. The chief. The boss. The beast. That’s Connor, yo. Thanks for keeping him company while we were off jerkin’ it. Hey, baby. Miss us?” That last comment was directed at Alyssa, who Ty flicked his head at and shot a wink. ”...where are the hotties? You’re missing at least two.”

”...alright, Rhett. I’ll be taking my leave now. Good luck. We’ll talk again soon. Privately, I hope.” Alyssa said, smiling and nodding her head shortly. ”Meet the Elite. Probably who you’re going to be spending an uncomfortably large amount of time with.”

”You’re dreamin’. We ain’t goin’ nowhere, Lyssy. The boys are back in town. And we ain’t goin’ fuckin’ nowhere. You want us out again? You’re gonna have to call the United Nations to bring down a fuckin’ bindin’ resolution. Look at Connor! He’s gettin’ all emotional! Ye, walk away, bitch. Can’t leave nothing to you, you find a way to FUCK IT UP!” As she strolled away, shaking her head, Wolfe kicked some sand in her general direction, rolling his eyes before he looked back at the homies.

Connor’s sorrow was short-lived when the people he had just been crying about came strollin’ in like they ran the place - well, they did. If anyone kept up with the BHHS Times “The Elite” trumped “The Unholy Trinity” because it was a bunch of rowdy, rough boys that did what they wanted and always won their football games. If there was one thing that this school was known for it was their unstoppable football team. And yet, somehow, Rhett has not officially met any of them until now. Sure, he’s seen them in passing, even chatting with Ty in one of their classes, but the punk had been so caught up taking care of his mother that he didn’t really think of getting more acquainted with them. Just by how they all talked with each other, he knew they’d connect well. The biggest thing about them though, that you hear multiple times a day, is their charm with the ladies, fucking cheerleaders as part of their winning streak. Letting the bromance unfold, Rhett watched the members of the football team reunite, before glancing over to the school’s ultimate sovereign. She was not having any of this shit, that’s for sure. Rhett may have felt slightly bad, but not really, Connor was cool and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t admire the dude. Attending even just one football game was enough for Rhett to gain respect for El Jefe. You know a man’s greatness by the way they held themselves and by the way they kept shit together, though occasionally, even the strongest of men need the support of their squad. “See ya, Alyssa! It was nice to finally meet ‘cha

Bringing his attention back to the boyz, Rhett grinned, “Yeah, I ain’t gonna lie. This is awesome. You guys are what kids these days aspire to be. Money, all the way.” He nodded to himself before adding, “Glad I kept El Jefe busy long enough for the return of his bros.” After he lifted his can in respect to the crew that stood before him, he took a large gulp of beer, “Oh, yeah. Ty. The mastermind behind the design was primarily a wild rebel, Ely, don’t know if ya know her. She lives off this glow stuff. Where the hell did she even go?” For most of the party, Rhett had not seen Ely once. Must have gotten bored or something. Sucks. She would have done some crazy shit to spice the party up. Probably even challenge one of the boyz to a drinking contest. Hell, that girl was as rowdy as rowdy came.

”Check it yo, we know as well anyone that homie can be a handful sometimes, so it’s chill that you hung with him. We appreciate you and your efforts, dude whose name I should know but I can’t properly place but I’m feeling like it has a t in it somewhere is it Tim? Nah, you don’t look like a Tim.” Ty shrugged his shoulders and nodded in agreement. ”Nah, I know who you’re speaking of. I got a thing for crazy chicks. And blonde chicks. And glow-y shit. So… yeah. Ely is a name that I have heard in the past.” Ty said, then leaned in real close to Rhett, as if he was going to give him the juiciest gossip of all time. He looked around to make sure no one was listening--the other boys were, sure, but they didn’t count--finally, Ty spoke again.

Muttering to himself, Rhett shook his head at Ely’s exploits, “I gotta like… tally her lovers. At least she isn’t as bad as Jade.” Staring at the Boyz and El Jefe, the punk officially introduced himself, “Rhett Aspen, but my peeps call me Rex. You guys can call me whatever. I’m pretty chill. Just a junior who… does what he wants. Somehow that appealed to Lady Sovereign.” He shrugged, not fully aware of his ‘potential’ that Alyssa had rambled on about moments ago.

”On the real. I’m gonna steal all this glowing shit.”

”You are not stealing any glow-y stuff!”

”That’s that Apache blood in me, bro. I can’t help it, at my core I’m just one loud brash dramatic greedy shoot a motherfucker in the back type-o-motherfucker, and you guys love me for it. ...motherfuckers. We walkin’ outta here with allllll this glow-y shit. Bet.”

Dude. If you can take all this.” He gestured at the entire party polluted with glow shit (Ely goes hard), “I’d be impressed! I don’t even know how she got all this. Look.” He glanced up at a hanging string above them, decently high up, with the coke bottle decorations she made. Leaping in the air, Rhett unhooked one of the bottles and dropped to the ground, “This is so cool. Like stars in a bottle. Girl’s got talent. Though, Alyssa said this party wasn’t classy. That’s some balls right there. Everyone is gettin’ TURNT UP.

”I’m gonna tell you this right now, and it’ll probably be the only time we tell you, so pay attention and listen closely, ya’ol T-Rex motherfucker: Lyssy ain’t shit. We been dealin’ with Alyssa Deserae Green since she was a wee babe toddlin’ around with that psycho bald dude on her tail. She thinks she’s all that and she runs the show, but don’t let her push you around. She ain’t that great. She’s hot, sure, but she probably ain’t that good of a lay.” Wolfe explained, shaking his head as he folded his arms over his chest, before absently looking at Leon. Before Leon had a chance to speak, though, Wolfe was back at full force: ”She’s gonna try and manipulate you and change you to fit her vision of a better you and she’ll probably succeed because she’s got these tactics that nobody sees and she thinks she’s smarter than everyone but bitch I am the tactical genius ‘round these parts. I read Sun Tzu’s art of war not that bitch and dammit I’m gonna use and abuse that knowledge to beat her damn ass and ruin her life and the rest of these motherfuckers are down to fuck around and get it done. That asshole, Alyssa? Cannot win. Fuck that noise.”

”Semper fi, do or die. Take ‘er down.”

”I am gonna take her down because she let me down and she didn’t take good care of our best friend while we were gone off doin’ family shit that we couldn’t avoid no matter what, and we get back and he’s an emotional wreck!” Wolfe stomped his foot on the sand, then kicked at the coke bottle that Rhett had placed on the ground, stepping in front of Connor, ”Connor, I told you when we were kids, that you are a piece of shit, but that’s okay because I’m a piece of shit and I can appreciate pieces of shit. So I am your man for life. And you know what that means!?” Wolfe suddenly smacked Connor on the chest as he got more and more hype and Connor was smiling. Friends! ”That means I got your goddamn back! Now, I am not gonna suck your dick! But I will make everyone else suck your dick! Tell me who! Alyssa, Eve, Audrey, Charlotte, Josie, Domi, Ely, hell I don’t give a fuck, that Ari kid, Jar--he’s probably gay, huh? Archie, Hana, Phil, Tis, Sierra, motherfucker I will line them up and everyone that goes to this shitty fucking school will suck your dick. Rhett. Maybe.” Wolfe looked Rhett up and down. ”Maybe not Rhett, he probably uses teeth. Not these two, these two are good Christian boys and they don’t do that shit.” Wolfe gestured at Ender and Ty, then shot a glance at Leon. ”Leo might.”

”HEY.”

Rhett could dig Wolfe. He was a man of many words and the punk appreciated that. If you’re opinionated, preach. Though, Rhett may have been slightly annoyed with him using Sierra and Ely, his two closest gal friends, as examples but he did have a point. There was a high possibility they WOULD suck Connor’s dick. Rather than retaliate like some possessive guy friend, Rex simply shrugged, “Some on that list may be more than happy to, but dude, Eve? Audrey?... If Connor wants to stick his dick in the depths of hell, then by all means… shoot for the stars, man.” He paused to swing his arm in front of him, across his chest, to stretch it, while glancing at his party, “Thanks for the advice, Sentinel… if I remember correctly, assuming I can call you that or whatever... I’ll keep that in mind when ‘Lady Sovereign’ yaps.” Bringing his hand back to his side, he realized he couldn’t find his gal pals anywhere, but he tried not think about it too much, “What do you guys wanna do? The floor is all your’s. There’s beer pong, poker, guns… other stuff. Girls.” He paused and subtly frowned when he didn’t see his crush, “Unless Ty wants to get to that heist now. That MIGHT take some time. Or we can chill by the bonfire. I brought my guitar, we can chat, debate. Whatever we do, it’ll be money.

”I did say that he had to tell me who. If the Chief wants the Satanic Succubi Sisters--that’s Eve, Lyss, and Audrey, also that’s called alliteration, to give him a three girls at one time blowjob. Then damn it, I will make that happen. WIth that, Wolfe turned his attention primarily to Rhett, clearing his throat before he slung an arm around Rhett’s shoulder, pulling him close and tight. Time to get the party started. The brotrain had zero brakes, and that meant party time, all the time.. ”Alright, dude. You’re the host. Host.”

”I got that stuff in my bag. Just saying.” Leon spoke up, lifting his backpack up and waving it around, but Wolfe shook his head. It was Connor, though, who spoke.

”When the time is right, young Padawan. Then, use the stuff, we must.”

”It’s gonna be lit, baybay.”

Nodding to his newly found friends, Rhett, with Wolfe’s arm over his, glanced around the party, surveying the level of hype. “Ya’ll have any girls? I’m sure there’s a couple of lonely souls that wouldn’t mind being ‘your’s’ tonight.” His blue orbs went to the water and gestured to this cute blonde with curly hair (Hayden), “Like her. She’s money. Just look at her… hair. Yes, hair.” Really, he was looking at her ass but he’d be ‘respectable’ (for now). His gaze went toward the party once more and to the drinking table, “Or that sexy Asian right there. Damn. Our school got the hottest of babes and I’m still single!” Perhaps one more… “Or there’s…

The last girl he took notice of made Rhett’s entire body go stiff. From the distance, he saw his baby sister nearly running away from Jackson. Her face was detached and very unlike her. She looked like she was about to cry and Jackson was chasing after her. “What the fuck?” For a boy who didn’t curse often, he found himself cursing more today than he has in all 16 years of his life. Pulling away from Wolfe, he dismissed himself, “...Excuse me, I’ll be back.” Not waiting for a response, he ran, not walked, into the crowd of drunk people to see what the hell just happened with his best friend and sister. She shouldn’t be here. She was grounded. Why the hell was she here?! What the hell did Jackson--

When he reached them, Rhett clenched his fists at the sight of Jackson holding onto Summer and kissing her. KISSING HER. His mind went into a haze and his eyes darkened. No more thoughts. No more words. This was just… no. As much as he didn’t want to believe what he was seeing, he knew how Jackson was. Regardless of respect for his brother or not, when it came to girls the idiot just couldn’t think with his head. Only his dick.

This wasn’t the only reason why in this moment Rhett allowed his anger to boil to an ungodly level… there was so much that the king-to-be kept bottled up that the feeling of betrayal was simply the icing to the cake. No longer running, but prowling forward, Rhett’s expression was nothing anyone at school has ever bear witnessed to. A side of him he didn’t like to show. After all he’s done for Jackson… from the constant encouragement of all his fleeting loves, to assisting him with his schooling, to him just being there for his boy.... Brothers. They were brothers.

This is how he repays me?!

Rhett mentally snapped. The next moments happened so fast, no one at the party was prepared or ready for it. First, the boy with his plaid shirt unbuttoned and a heart made by Sierra painted on his chest pulled the lovebirds apart, pushing Summer back with more force than intended. This caused her to fall into the arms of a stranger. Second, the best friends stared at each other, Rhett looking far more menacing than the drunk Jackson. Meanwhile, Summer tried to escape from the stranger’s grasp but they wouldn’t let her go. Whoever was holding onto her didn’t want her to enter the crossfire… she could and most likely would get hurt. All she could do is yell and tell Rhett to stop. Third, refusing to hold back any force and strength, he cocked his right fist back and slammed it into Jackson’s jaw, causing the blonde to fall onto his ass.

But Rhett wasn’t satisfied. This was only the beginning. He was far too enraged to stop now. Next thing he knew he was beating the living daylights out of his so-called best friend….

Shock?

Okay, that was an understatement.

Sierra was beyond shocked. There she was, ready to shoot venom through her words at Jason for having the balls to reject her all damn week, and the guy suddenly decides to go all honest on her. Not only did he admit that he’d been staring at her on Orientation Day, but he also admitted that he had a crush on her. Why he had a crush on her of all people was a mystery to her. She was as cold, rude, self-centered, blunt, impatient and impulsive as they come, so the idea of anyone being capable of finding that attractive in any way truly intrigued her. But no, the night’s surprises didn’t stop there! Jason Singh had confessed that he was in love with her. The crush he had was more than a crush: it was love.

During this sudden rush of information, Sierra had simply stood there, arms crossed across her chest and her mouth hanging open after shouting out a loud “WHAT?!”. This whole situation was completely unexpected, and she didn’t know how to go on about it. The only experience with guys she had was with Archie and Jareth, and in neither of those experiences did the guys ever say they were in love with her. To Sierra and the guys she’d been involved with, it was all in the physical aspect, with feelings never getting involved in the matter. This was why it was such a mystery to her that Jason talked about feelings when they’d never had any type of contact. After a few long seconds of silence, Sierra uncrossed her arms, raised her left hand to massage her temple and, with closed eyes, simply cried out: I need a drink! before grabbing one of Jay’s hands with her free one and almost dragging him to the drinks table.

Once there, Sierra took one of the glow in the dark cups and filled a third of it with tequila. Without hesitation, the black-haired girl placed the cup to her dark-red painted lips and tipped it back, her head along with it. The gulp of alcohol went down hot and burning down her throat, but she knew she’d need more than that to even attempt to process what Jason had told her. So next, she placed her bag on top of the table’s corner and got out her grinder, her skull-shaped bong and lighter. What happened next was obvious, and in no time Sierra was taking long, deep hits from the bong. After a particularly deep one, the punk girl tossed her head back and closed her eyes, a smile on her face. The effects of the plant were taking over, and soon the bitter, angry version of Sierra was replaced by the careless, chill, and somewhat happy version of herself.

When her eyes opened again, the familiar reddish tinge in the whites of them made her blue irises even more prominent. God, how she loved this feeling! Every hit took her anger away little by little, and even if it was only for minutes or hours her world was alright: everything was fine, cool, at peace. She decided to take a look at her surroundings, savoring the way her senses heightened when she was stoned, when after scanning the crowd her eyes fell on Jason again. She giggled for a bit, having just remembered he was there, before giving him a smile. “Hey Jay, you want a hit?” she asked him calmly, extending the bong to Jason invitingly.

I..probably shouldn’t.” he said, shaking his head rather vigorously.

Sierra shrugged. “Your loss…” she muttered before taking yet another hit.

In Jay’s mind, he was still feeling the effects from that little pill that Jade had given him an hour or so ago. He had no idea when they would go away, or if they would at all, but he better not mix it with any other drug, especially one that seemed to give an enhanced version of what he was feeling right now. Odds are, they might work against each other, possibly producing something opposite to what he was feeling. That would not be a good thing, Jay thought.

So, you never said anything. You not mad, are you?” Jay said, dividing his attention from Sierra’s face and, well, everything else around him. Somehow the bright lights, loud music, and people shouting brought a smile to Jay’s face.

Having now finished with her portion of weed, a smiling Sierra threw away the plant’s ashes, placed her paraphilia back on her bag and took yet another shot of tequila before responding to Jason’s question. [color=darkred]“Not mad, no. Just genuinely curious as to how the fuck anyone can find me attractive enough to go as far as to say they’re in love with me!”[color] she told him, going off on a fit of giggles at that last phrase. Yes, the thought of anyone being in love with her was laughable in Sierra’s eyes. “That’s something I find very damn hard to believe. Me of all people! I mean, I totally get that you have the hots for me in the sense that you wanna bang me, but love?!” Again, Sierra was overcome with giggles, her whole body shaking with them, and this time it took her a few attempts to sober up and continue the conversation. “I’m just dying to hear why is it that you say you’re in love with me. But before you tell me-” she placed a finger to his lips, her blue eyes locking onto his while she smirked at him. “How’s about we get the fuck away from this crowd and somewhere more private?”

Let’s face it, he wasn’t in any position to guide anyone in any direction. In his state, Jay would just get them lost or lead them closer to the noise. It was way better if she led him by the hand since he was like a giddy, directionless dummy right now who wouldn’t know which way was up or down, or left or right.

After you~” Jay cheerfully sang in tune.

With a cheerful grin and the rest of her tequila in the cup on her hand, Sierra took Jay’s hand again and guided him away from the crowd. They stumbled, swayed and often drifted off a little to one side or the other, but the duo eventually made it to a small niche between the bushes, overlooking the beach. In her attempt to sit down properly next to Jason, Sierra fell on her ass, which prompted yet another set of giggles from the raven-haired girl. When the fit had passed, Sierra turned to look at Jason, eyelids a bit droopy and eyes still red from the weed. “Now, tell me: why the fuck do you say you’re in love with me?” she asked Jason, linking her arm with his.

Why am I in love you with you?” Jay scratched his head.

In typical Sierra fashion, the girl shot him a look and rolled her eyes. “Yes, Jason. That’s a very bold thing to say, after all.”

Oh,” he said lowly. “I’m sorry. I guess I didn’t realize that it was.” he said apologetically.

Sierra faintly squeezed his arm. “Oh, please. How about you stop apologizing and tell me what the flying fuck you even see in me instead?” Not even the influences she was on could take away the impatience.

What do I see in her? Jay thought as he gave Sierra a blinking expression. At first, he thought maybe she was kidding, but the way she looked back at him gave Jay the impression that she was dead serious. In that case, Jay would cough. His throat was feeling a bit dry, but he also didn’t want any saliva to compromise what he was going to say. He would then take a moment to take a deep breath, and he was off..

Well, I guess you can say you captivated me on first glance. As I’ve told you, I’ve been crushing(or in love with you — whatever you want to call it) — since freshman year. It was when I first saw you. I know, it might sound odd.

“More like something out of a movie, but odd nonetheless.” Sierra muttered, taking a small sip of her tequila.

Jay let out a laugh, “Here is this guy who you didn’t even know that existed until just a week ago, and he tells you that he’s crushing and in love with you. Of course you would think it’s odd. My family thinks it’s odd - well, mainly for the fact that I’ve been crushing on you hard for four years. They have been teasing for half that long about it, but hey, they won’t anymore, right?” Jay laughed again, and Sierra joined in. He really was a motormouth tonight, and his laugh made her smile for some reason. Maybe it was the pot. Maybe it was the tequila. Maybe she just honestly liked to hear him laugh. Who knows?

Jay took another deep breath. “Okay, last bit. Promise” Sierra nodded, shifting to sit closer to Jason while he took another deep breath, “In those four years, I’ve been, for a lack of better words, keeping tabs on you. Yeah, I know, kind of stalkerish, but I couldn’t go up to you, now could I?” Jay just heard what he said, and with the raised eyebrow ‘bitch please’ look Sierra gave him he added, “Fine, yeah I could have, but too nervous and scared.” Get back on track, Singh. “Anyhow, you just had something about you that I found really interesting. You wear your individuality with pride, and I guess I really liked that about you. Your style is unlike anyone I know.” Okay, Jay that’s a lie. “Alright, maybe aside Jade, but totally different.” There you go, “and that’s not to mention how overwhelmingly beautiful you are.” Jay said, completing what he wanted to say, letting out a large sigh of relief.

It took Sierra a few long moments to process what Jay had said, given her drunken/high state, but she eventually did. Disregarding the whole creepy shit like him ‘keeping tabs on her’ and ‘watching her from afar’ for the last four years, what Jason was saying was actually incredibly adorable. The way he said such lovely things about her and in such a loving tone reminded Sierra of when Shawn talked about her to others… And how her father used to do it too, almost ten years ago. The thought brought tears to the girl’s eyes, and soon enough Sierra was unable to hold back the tears rolling down her cheeks. She was feeling a strange mixture of grief and happiness that caused her to become an emotional mess. “I’ve never had a guy say such things to me, like, ever she wailed, giving Jason a shaky smile. Then she remembered how tough she’d been on him the first day they met, and started crying again with her head on his shoulder. “I’m sorry for being so mean to you on Monday! I thought you were rejecting me, and I don’t like to be rejected. It makes me feel like nobody wants me.”

Normally, Jay wouldn’t know what to do here. He avoided moments like this, but she was so close to him. If he were to reach over to her hair, Jay was willing to bet he could catch her scent. Four years he had been waiting for this. Four years of quietly peering from behind a wall or dodging her glances as he would look at her almost every day. Four years of hoping that one day would come where he could just tell her how much he loved her, or at the very least, how intensely he was crushing on her. Four years of wanting to risk it all, and go up to her, and tell her all of this, had not been for nothing. The wait wasn’t wasted. It wasn’t for naught. This was that moment. This was the moment he had been waiting for.

And so, Jay took a wild chance(something he had been doing all night). His outer arm was brought around Sierra’s back, pulling her closer to him. She still had a grip on his other arm, but that didn’t matter to him right now. He made sure to bring her as close to him that she possibly could. “There, there.” he said soothingly.

In a move completely out of character, Sierra snuggled further into Jay’s chest and cried harder. It was weird how once she began to cry, she remembered all the bad things that had happened to her: the teasing of the kids in elementary school, the death of her father, the arguments with her mother, the constant comparisons with her older sister Chloe, the day Chloe left for college, the way her relationship with her mother grew even more abrasive now that her sister wasn’t there to soften the blows, Jareth’s rejection, seeing him with Jade… Everything up to the dumb argument she’d had with her mother that day. And so Sierra cried, letting out all the pain she’d been holding back for years in these long minutes, using a stranger as her comfort. Even stranger still was how comforted she felt by Jason.

When there were no more tears to spill, Sierra wiped her face with her index finger and looked up at Jay again. Her dark eye makeup was smudged, and his white shirt bore the remains of it even when all products she had used claimed to be waterproof. Well, they clearly weren’t ‘crybaby-proof’ then… Anyway, she moved her face close to his, so little distance between them that she could smell his minty breath and he could clearly see the remaining tears still stuck to her eyelashes. Sierra’s eyes examined Jason’s whole face, as if trying to memorize every detail: his chocolate brown eyes staring at her, the way a few stray locks of black hair fell on his face, how soft the hairs of his mustache and beard looked, the way his full lips had a few dry patches but looked inviting still... A shaky smile adorned her dark lips now. “You know, you’re not as bad as I thought, Jason Singh. You’re actually pretty cool to talk to, and hella hot at that. How come we’ve never hung out before? I feel really good being around you...”

Well..

Jay let his voice trail off. He had to think about his answer. He didn’t want to blurt out the first thing that came to mind. As much as he wanted to, even in his state, Jay had to think about what he was going to say. Added to her question, she called him hot. How many weeks had he wished to hear that come out of her mouth? It was all a little much for Jay. but that aside, he wanted to say just the right thing. Though, maybe there wasn’t much to think about in the first place. Jay had pretty much crossed that line when he told Sierra how he felt about her. If that didn’t throw all caution into the wind, then Jay had to work on his definition of what was crossing a line and what wasn’t.

I really don’t hang out with people at school.” Jay wasn’t lying. He didn’t do that kind of thing.

“Well, why not?” Sierra asked, pouting a little.

It’s not that there aren’t interesting people at school. Everyone is interesting in their own way, but I don’t know, I guess I feel really intimidated by so many people. I’m much more at home at - well, home - playing my Playstation 4.” Ah, Jay was remembering how he was going to spend the night playing some The Last of Us. Instead, Jade convinced him to come to the party. And he never looked back. So far, it’s been the best night of his entire life.

At the mention of the Play 4, Sierra’s eyes widened at the same time she grinned. “DUDE! Same here! This gives you a thousand extra points on the coolness scale! We should totally hang out to game sometime! The Nightingale here knows how to kick ass on Dark Souls 3.” she bragged in reference to her PSN alias, shooting Jay a wink.

Wait..what did you say?!” Jay’s mouth was metaphorically dropped to the floor while he blinked confusingly towards Sierra. “I might be mistaken, but I could have sworn I heard you say your PSN alias was Nightingale!

Sierra raised a dark eyebrow at him. ”Dude, did whatever you take made you deaf? That’s exactly what I said. My alias is Nightingale”

This is not happening.” Jay was in rather large state of shock. “I can’t believe you’re Nightingale!” Jay started pacing back and forth. He had to. The pit of his stomach was acting up, and his heart was racing so fast that it was like a Nascar Race in his body.

Sierra’s eyebrows narrowed into her usual scowl, her eyes following Jason pacing back and forth in front of her like a cat watching something it disliked or didn’t trust. “What’s so hard to believe about that? Never heard of a girl playing video games or something?” Jay’s attitude was killing her high, so she took out the loaded skull glass pipe and the lighter from her flask-shaped purse, took a few long, deep drags from it and put the items back inside the purse.

Deep breaths. You can do this.

Jay stopped pacing. He turned to look to Sierra. “No, that’s not it.” he said, breathing in deeply to calm his nerves. “It’s just that, well,” no, don’t do that Jay. Or could the pill be wearing off? “Okay. What I’m trying to say is that, why it’s so hard to believe that you’re Nightingale is because I’m Mockingjay!” Jay blurted out as loud as he could.

“WHAT?!” Sierra shouted again, shooting up from her seat as if by an invisible catapult. “You’re fucking kidding me!”

Jason Singh was Mockingjay?

Wait… Mockingjay. Wow, Sierra. Did it really take you this long to figure it out?

Sierra’s eyes widened as the pieces of the puzzle suddenly clicked together to make sense. Mockingjay had always been in her same time zone, was her same age, seemed to be really busy with school at the same time she did and things in BHHS got demanding, his username had shown up on the Pokemon GO app earlier that week at school… Hell, the guy’s nickname was the last syllable of the username! How more obvious can you get? And now that she actually gave some thought about it, Jason’s voice was an exact match to Mockingjay’s. Even with all the evidence pointing out that it was true, Sierra still struggled to believe it. After all, her crush on Mockingjay went as far back as Jason’s crush did with her, and the two guys were as different as night and day.

Her Mockingjay: Jason Singh. Four long years of dreaming, talking and wishing for a miracle that allowed them to meet in person one day, for fate to have them meet by chance at this party. Now she knew exactly how Jay felt the first time they’d talked.

You’re Mockingjay? My online ride or die? The other half of the Destroyer Duo?” the girl asked in a shocked voice. “The master of dark humor? The guy who once pulled with me a ‘let’s see how long we can stay awake playing PS’ one weekend back in sophomore year?”

Jay let her finish. He needed the time to comprehend it himself. While she was flabbergasted that he was MockingJay, he was still trying to comprehend that his online crush was, in fact, his real life crush. And above it all, all those nights they spent flirting with each other in the most lewd, direct ways, it was in fact the girl he’d been wanting to speak to just once. It was unreal, and Jay was still processing it.

I guess all those times we talked about meeting irl has finally come true, huh?” Jay couldn’t help but joke. At the very least, it might alleviate the tension somewhat. If it didn’t, then Jay would find out, now wouldn’t he?

Sierra, whose face now bore a disbelieving grin, laughed at his joke “Yup. I guess so…” she trailed off, suddenly remembering other memorable Destroyer Duo conversations. “Shit, now I can’t help but remember all those late night conversations we’d have about all the dirty things we’d do to each other if we ever met irl…” she said with a laugh. The pot’s effects were now in full swing again, so happy, chill Sierra was back. She couldn’t help but smirk at Jason. “You weren’t the least bit shy when you would tell me that, Jay. Why hold back now?”

Um, well, my online persona isn’t exactly the same as my real life personality. Online, I am able to be who I want to be. I can be as open and, well dirty, as I can because no one really knows me as the shy guy online. But here? In the real life? I can’t seem to channel that side of me.” Jay said, starting to feel less carefree. It was as he suspected. The pill’s effects were wearing off. “I don’t know, I never thought this moment would come so soon.” Jay said, scratching the back of his head.

Sierra noticed that Jay’s confidence seemed to be slowly disappearing, but in her current state she couldn’t figure out a way to help him. She didn’t want him to fall back into his shell, back to the shy, quiet Jason that was too afraid to even look her in the eye. She wanted to make the moment last forever.

In another impulsive move, Sierra closed the distance between them and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Well I fucking know the real you, Jay, and I love it. You don’t have to pretend to be someone you’re not with me. So how’s about you show me just how much you wanted us to meet irl.” she purred, looking up into his eyes with that kittenish stare that spoke of the things she wanted to happen between them.

And there it was staring him right in the face, or rather she was staring him right in the face. Not only that, but she had closed the gap between them, calling him on whatever she thought was a bluff. So many times he said what he wanted to do, like how he wanted to take hold of her waist, and bring their bodies close, which Jay unknowingly did. He wanted to brush her dark locks behind her ear with his hand, which Jay unknowingly did. He wanted to look into her eyes that had an accented shade of blue-green that resembled soft aquamarine stones, which Jay was now knowingly doing. He wanted to reach his head forward, and press his lips on her own, feeling their respective pair meet in a neutral zone.

And that’s what Jason Singh did. How he did it was beyond him, but the fact remained. This guy who was an animal online, an introvert in real life, and some kind of middle-man when under the influence of drugs, was kissing the girl of his dreams. Not only that, but he was kissing her passionately.

The moment Jason’s hands came in contact with the bare skin of her waist, Sierra’s body shivered by the soft touch. When he tucked her black hair behind her ear, there was a warm feeling her chest. And when he looked into her eyes with that, she was afraid he could hear her heart pounding. Then he kissed her, and behind her closed eyes fireworks were going off. She responded with the same level of passion, pressing her body even closer to his, tangling her fingers on his black locks and even letting her tongue softly wrestle with his. She didn't know if it was the weed or the fact that it was Mockingjay she was kissing, but she couldn't deny that she felt sparks when their lips met. Whatever it was, it felt amazing, and the more they kissed the harder she held onto the moment.

'Cause it's too cold
For you here and now
So let me hold
Both your hands in the holes of my sweater

It's too cold
For you
Now let me hold
Both your hands in the holes of my sweater

LOCATION —Tis’ Private “Fun” Beach → Main Beach
INTERACTIONS — Tis (@Wintergrey), Jareth (@Silent Observer), and Eve (@lovely complex)
TIME — Inspection Time
Outfit

That was fun. We should do it again sometime.” Jade commented, grabbing her shirt that was resting on the beach.

Jade was genuinely surprised by how talented Tis was. Certain things that she did to Jade opened the blonde’s eyes to new areas — sexually — that she could explore. She had no idea that Tis would be able to do that to her, but hey! Life is all about finding out new things not only about yourself, but what you have been missing. Tis did that for Jade.

Once she was fully dressed, Jade grabbed her bag, and heaved it over her right shoulder. “Catch ya around, Tis~” Jade shot the blonde surfer a wink before she turned around. She purposely swayed her hips side-to-side so that Tis could get one final look at the ass that she handled so well.

It took a few minutes for Jade to make her way back to the main party scene. Along the way, Jade popped one of the pills she got from Hana. By the time she got to the party scene, it should be in full effect. If not, then Jade seriously doubted how top-tier Hana’s merchandise was.

Arriving where most of everyone was, Jade scanned the area. She wanted to at least see where her cousins were. After a minute or so of aimlessly searching and walking, Jade spotted Jay. He was with SIerra. Jade couldn’t hide her amusement as she smiled, but then she saw Jay pull in Sierra closer to him. His arms were around her waist, and he planted a good one on her. Jade’s eyes were widened at this point. She didn’t know what happened when she was gone getting frisky with Tis, but obviously something big went down because Jay had not only talked to his crush, but now he was kissing her. That would most certainly be a story that Jade would want to hear from Sierra, or even Jay, if he felt like sharing.

Oh man, I bet Jay isn’t regretting coming now.” Jade laughed. She couldn’t help but do so.

As Jade turned her head to the right, she saw her other cousin with Summer. He too was getting busy. It was the same scenario as Jay, but Jackson had Summer’s face in his hands, and he was kissing her. “Damn, I bet that made her night. Summer’s gotta be in heaven right abo—” Before Jade could finish, she was shoved aside by what felt like a steamroller of a hit. She fell face-first. “The fuck?!” Jade turned over, and saw who it was. “Shit, this isn’t gonna be pretty.

Jade was right. She saw it was Rhett, and he was heading straight for Jackson’s direction. She knew that, with Jackson’s current predicament, and how overprotective Rhett was over his kid sister, Jackson was about to be put through the ringer. It was evident when Jade caught the first blow. It hit so hard that it sent a tooth or two flying out of Jackson’s mouth, and Rhett wasn’t going to stop there.

Should I intervene? Jade pondered on that thought. It would be the right thing to do. As Jackson’s cousin, and an avid supporter of what she liked to call “the Jammer”, it might be the good cousin thing to do. Yet, as Jade saw how Rhett was manhandling Jackson, something in her convinced her that maybe she should let the boys be boys. If Ely was here, Jade was sure that she’d be the same way. Hell, the fact that Jackson willingly kissed Summer, perhaps the dumbass deserved it. Knowing Ely, though, she’d probably do something crazy. So what should Jade do?

Perhaps I should—” Jade caught the eye of something much more interesting than Jackson getting his can kicked. She saw her definitely-Emo-maybe-gay ex-boyfriend, Jareth standing next to, of all people, Eve. this was by far more interesting than helping out her cousin. Besides, he would be able to handle himself for now. JAde was more interested what was going on over there.

And so the blonde teen, with much gusto, strolled along her merrily way to the happy couple with the intent to pry as much as she could in order to achieve three things: first and foremost, make Jareth as uncomfortable as she possibly can. Two, to see what exactly happened to Eve’s top. And finally, the third - and most important of all - to give Eve major props for what she did to JAckson. JAde wasn’t a cruel person, but what Eve did to Jackson really was beneficial to Jade’s satisfaction in her homelife. Ever since Jackson had been crushed, he hasn’t been nearly as annoying as he once was. He definitely shut up about his obsession with Eve, so that was a plus.

]Of all people I would catch chatting, you are two people I never thought would be together.” Jade commented, looking at both Jareth and Eve.

One week down. Thirty-five to go. Didn’t seem so bad when he thought about it that way, huh? What was that? One hundred, seventy-five days? Multiplied by eight… Fourteen hundred hours left. Not bad, Troy could do that. Fourteen hundred more hours of these people, and he was done. That was easy. He could handle that.

Absently, the young man looked over his shoulder at a picture that hung on the wall, one of him and his mentor--Owen--after his first victory at a local tournament. Okay. Might be harder nowadays. Staring at the picture, Troy big back anger, bitterness. Life sucked, and then you died. Wasn’t the old man’s fault. Troy’s breath shouldn’t be used to tarnish his memory. Wasn’t the old man’s fault. He was old. Frail. When Troy met him. Troy was lucky they’d had the five years to get to know each other.

Now, all he had left was distant memories, a box of letters that he wasn’t allowed to open, pictures… and this building that he was standing in. Sure, there was more that had been given to him, but Troy had only asked for--and received--the keys to the gym. The rest of it was waiting patiently for him. He’d deal with that when he finished high school.

Once upon a time, the gym Troy stood in had been opened to the public; even some local legends had trained here, but now under Troy’s ownership, it was locked down. His haven. He had the only key, and he locked the door behind himself, and he would keep it that way forever. He didn’t need other people damaging his place with their… existence.

Bitterness rising--honestly, when wasn’t Troy bitter?--Troy stretched his arms over his head, leaning to his left side. He looked around the gym, toward the ring in the center of it, then at the sets of weights, before turning his attention to the clock hanging on the wall. Eleven at night. Great, looked like he was sleeping here tonight. Again. The house was on lockdown, for sure.

Sighing, Troy walked over toward the office, grabbing his phone off of the edge of a weight machine and clicking the Bluetooth off. If he was going to wallow in his bitterness, then he would do so in silence. He let himself into the office and headed to the fridge nestled in the corner of it, opening it and grabbing a beer from it. He cracked the lid of it and sat down in the desk chair, kicking his shoes off and leaning them up on the desk as he sipped at the alcohol and mused to himself about his current situation.

Turning up the bottle at eleven at night. Alone. In a dark office.

Yep.

He was officially pathetic.

Troy flicked his phone on and pulled down the notifications bar, scoffing slightly at the message:

From: Audrey
I can't stop thinking about you or that night. Let's make it happen again. Meet me up?

Staring at the screen for a few seconds, Troy sipped from the beer before he flicked his fingers across the keyboard. She was disturbing his sanctity and his peace.

To: Audrey
No. I’m busy. Bother somebody else.

That'll show 'er.

Time: Time to get annoyed busy ;)

"I'm going to fall and break a nail!" a gorgeous, sunflower blondie (and petite-sized junior) whined as she walked beside her sister, who held a flashlight, deep into the woods. "This is creeeeeepy, Izzy. What if we get mauled by a bear?!" Her voice was pleasantly high, like a piccola, but warm and flowing like hot chocolate (maybe, a bit too chipper and bubbly for some people's taste).

The dark haired beaut turned to look at her sister (shorter than 4'11... standing at 4'8"... fuck you height), she blinked once before narrowing her eyes, "... There aren't bears." The tinier one of the two moved her flash light around to scan their surroundings, making sure they were going the right way. "You're the one who wanted to come. We can turn back right now." As she said that, Isabel pivoted around on her heels, more than happy to return to her 2016 Aston Martin Vanquish convertible that Julie convinced her to get... entirely blue (seats and all). Blue was Izzy's favorite color but to have her ENTIRE car be blue? Why did she agree?! (Because you love your sister too goddamn much. WEAK.).

Crossing her arms and puffing her cheeks, Juliana sassed, "We have to be there for Domi! I already told her that we'd--"

"Dominique isn't your reason for going," the brunette retorted with her mellow, matter-of-fact, like Bourbon whiskey voice. Smokey, rich, and smooth. Too bad she didn't have a boyfriend to talk dirty to (and most likely never will), her voice was sexier than she would like to admit. Her standards were far too high for the majority of the school's population. Plus, why risk being deceived again? Ain't nobody got time for that. Through her peripheral vision, she caught sight of Julie's leaking red cheeks.

"W-what?! I have PROOF!" Immediately in defense, she took out her iPhone Princess plus, in pink and bejeweled, and brought up the text she had sent to Domi.

To: Dom-Dom
B there soon <3<3<3<3

Cute sloth for u!

Unfortunately for Julie, the unexpected happened (no, it should have been totally expected)! Her on-and-off... friend? Boyfriend? Ex?... texted her while her sissy was staring down at her phone. Her finger accidentally slipped, opening it. She had sent naughty things to him earlier so he wouldn't forget where his priorities lie!

From: My Tiger
yummmmmmmmmmm

IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE TEXT POPPED ON HER SCREEN, the cheerleader pulled her phone, turning it over, and pressing it against her chest, in embarrassment, "L-let's hurry! We're running sooooo late." She started power walking ahead.

"... hold up, you're going to fall." They were wearing heels, after all, and just when Izzy had warned her sister to be careful, down went the blonde. With fast reflexes, the ice skater grabbed her sister's wrist before she busted her face, "Clumsy."

"Sorry, sissy!" Izzy wasn't going to press the matter of her sister seeking out her boyfriend further. Let's be honest, they were whipped for each other even if they had their moments. They've been at it since fucking orientation. As much as Isabel would rather her sister be infatuated by another man, the idiot made her happy...

That didn't mean she'd make shit easy for him. He needs to learn he won't always get what he wants when it comes to Julie. He was spoiled and a lucky fucker to have her sister's heart. All annoyance aside, they had a party to attend.

Five minutes later, they finally got to the beach. Raising an eyebrow, Isabel noticed a circle being made by the dance floor. It didn't seem like a party was going on over there. No. People were chanting: FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT.

Curiosity took over her. Grabbing her sister's hand, she led her to and through the crowd until they reached... a fight between the host and Jackson Drake. Weren't they like best friends? Surveying the scene, the brunette caught sight of a beautiful, blonde niner crying, being held back by someone, and yelling, "RHETT, FUCKING STOP!"

Woah. This was a lot to take in. The way the girl looked at Rhett showed that she was most definitely related to him. Kid sister to the possible future king-bee? After Izzy gestured with her head to Julie toward Summer, the cheerleader serenely smiled. Understanding the situation, the twins approached the young girl, taking her out of the grasp of some random stranger, "We'll take it from here."

"You shouldn't watch this." Julie's stormy orbs were full of genuine love and concern, even though she just met the Niner.

"They'll be fine. Trust me. If those two really care about each other, this will pass. They just have to let out... their aggression."

"Boys will be boys." They stood on each side of Summer and led her away from the crowd, "I'm Juliana, by the way! And this is my twinsie, Isabel. You can call us whatever you like."

"Uh..." Summer was offered a handkerchief from Julie while she watched the twins in bewilderment - a little torn leaving the scene. Graciously accepting the item, the dancer wiped her tears. "Thank you..." Her eyes widened when she registered their names causing her to stop in her tracks, "You're... Dominique's friends? Right?"

"Oh! She's heard of us, Izzy!!" Julie clapped her hands together (with her phone still in her grasp) excitably.

Nodding at the Niner (who was taller than both the twins, standing at 5'6"), Isabel offered, "You can hang with us or watch your brother be a fool, your choice. We'll be walking the shoreline if you'd like to join."

This was a no brainer. Of course Summer was going to spend time with the twins! If this meant more prestige for her and obtaining two friends?! Hell yeah! She was already feeling better. Screw Rhett and Jackson. They can be idiots while she enjoyed herself.

Tis lay in the sand, half dress in a daze. She wasn't sure when exactly Jade left. She might have said something, maybe a goodbye kiss. Tis giggled at the obscene thought. Jade with a goodbye kiss, like that was going to happen. Snuggling back into the sweet soft embrace of the sand, Tis listened to the waves of the ocean until her head stopped spinning. Finally after who knows how long, she pushed herself to her feet and walked back to the party. It was her beach after all, she couldn't just not be present.

Walking back, Tis noticed that music had changed. The DJ was singing or something? Like wtf? Rolling her eyes she mentally noted she needed to slap Rhett for hiring someone so unconventional. As soon as she thought about Rhett, he ran right passed her. Confused she followed along slowly and watched him deck Jackson. Why was he figh- oh. His little sister Sunset or something? Bratty little fresh must have snuck into the party under Rhett's nose. Smirking at the unfolding events she stood to watch it all play out. "Five bucks on Rhett!"

Will stared confused as the girl he knocked over completely ignored his offer for help and ran off. Did he scare her? He was a big guy, but he was friendly to most everyone. Taking a deep breath he shrugged it off and walked towards the water. Ignoring the temptations to get wasted Will beelined around drunk stumbling teens and stood in the water. A year ago he would have said this water was freezing, but after Tis he honestly didn't feel it anymore. When Tis and him had been dating they had been the perfect beach couple. They were always in the water surfing or swimming. Tis had introduced him to contest surfing, which he was terrible at, but was always fun because he got to meet a lot of people and surf in a lot of different waters.

Shaking his head again to rid it of thoughts of Tis, he rubbed a hand through his hair and stared out into the ocean. Noticing a girl over to his left Will started walking over to say hi. He was at a party and thus obliged to make some new acquaintances. Plus it would help him get his mind off Tis. "Hey, hows it going? You're Hayden right?" One thing Will had always been excellent at was remembering peoples names. It really helped when he was drunk. "What are you doing out here in the cold water?"

Before she could answer him Will heard a loud commotion on the beach. Turning around he saw a fight breaking out. "Aww shit, hold on give me a sec." Knowing he would probably end up cursing himself for getting involved he broke into a run. Will got their just in time to catch Summer as she was pushed away from the fight. Still being sober he was able to put it all together pretty fast. Rhett was upset, Jackson was getting punched, and Summer was struggling to get in between them. The poor girl would only end up getting hurt if she did.

The flailing hands and kicks did little to stop his strong hold on her until Isabel and Juliana showed up. Even though he didn't like the two of them all that much he nodded his appreciation. He knew that they would at least take care of Summer until everything was over. Now that Summer was okay, Will stepped forward to intervene in the fight. Rhett was ontop of a drunk Jackson hammering into his face. Quickly reaching down, Will grabbed onto the back and Rhett's shirt and threw him back into the sand behind him. Will turned around to face Rhett, not too concerned with Jackson, but trying to make sure Rhett didn't turn his anger towards him. Either way he liked his chances seeing as he had 8 inches on him, a load of muscle, and boxing training. Still, as much as he may want to kick the ass of the potential future king, he was just here to intervene not fight. "Calm the fuck down Rhett."

A familiar voice filled the air temporarily distracting him. Was that Tis? Betting on the fight? Will grimaced as he looked at her in the crowd that had gathered around the fight scene. "Tis, can you not?" he practically growled.

INTERACTIONS — Will (@Wintergrey), The Elite (@Universorum), and each other (@lovely complex, @Altered Tundra)
LOCATON — Sandy beach and Dj’s Table
TIME — BEATDOWN TIME

In a day that was full of nothing but misery and strife, this moment with Summer made it all okay. He was drunk, sure. He was probably a bit sloppy, and in the wrong, but Jackson knew that, right in this moment, this very second, he was forgetting about all of his troubles. Whatever happened with Eve and how it made him feel the entire week, or what else he was going through, Jackson felt a moment of bliss as he held Summer close to him, kissing her only like a lover would.

It was as perfect as a shitty week could get. Too bad that it was cut short.

Pulled away, Jackson hardly knew what hit him literally. It was like a bus hit him right in his perfect, chiseled jaw. The amount of force that struck him was enough to wiggle a few teeth free blood dropping from from his mouth just as Jackson himself was dropped to the floor. He was taken by surprise from it, so he didn’t realize who had struck him like that until his blue iris’ fixated on the person above him. He saw a man of white skin color, hair dark brown like chocolate, and intents to kill.

Rhett had hit him. Rhett was hitting him. Rhett wasn’t stopping. Right punch after left, Jackson’s face was a punching bag for Rhett. In-between each furious strike, Jackson had attempted to get some movement in, but Rhett wasn’t having it. Not only that, but it seemed the force in each punch was increasing. Like Hulk, Rhett seemed to only get stronger, more fiercer as he kept wailing at the blonde teen.

Jackson was too out of it to block every one. Even though he did raise his hands up every now and then, it didn’t help much. With the amount of alcohol in his system, Jackson was free for the pickings. Rhett would be able to pound his face in as much as he wanted to. It wasn’t like Jackson was in any position to stop him. All he could do was block the hits that he could, and hope for the best.

But still…

Rhett..” Jackson said, attempting to get some words in

Another hit came.

Rex!” he said again, trying for a second time.

Another still.

Until Jackson’s “savior” intervened, pulling the furious punk off his boy, causing Rhett to fly back and stare at the stars. In milliseconds, not giving anyone else a chance to block him from giving JB what he deserved, the King-to-be jumped back to his feet by doing the common Kip Up move that he learned in Gymnastics many years ago. His dead gaze met with Will Sommer’s righteous mug, but his expression read: back the fuck off.

Rather than raise his voice, Rhett clenched his fist and teethed, “This has nothing to do with you. I don’t need to explain myself but if you really want to know, this dumbass.” He gestured toward Jackson, “Sucked my fourteen year old sister’s face. Now if you’ll excuse me.” Yes, Will may have been bigger and was known for his athleticism but there was a major difference between the lacrosse jock and a punk boy like Rhett… you’ll just have to wait to see, assuming Rex found Will worth fighting against. Never underestimate an opponent, it might bite you in the ass in the future.

Rolling his eyes, Rhett strolled passed him, while taking off his opened plaid shirt, ignoring the nobody’s existence. If you weren’t friends with Rhett, you meant shit to him and that was Will in this moment. Throwing his shirt and his fitted cap to the side, he beckoned Jackson to come at him, “You’re lucky. I was so close on knocking you out… you know, JB, if you were twice as smart, you’d still be stupid.

It was an understatement to say that Jackson was experiencing pain right now. Rhett hit hard; harder than Jackson remembered. He couldn’t recall when the last time was that Rex hit him that hard. It might’ve been a couple of years when Jackson said something stupid like he always does. Hell, it might’ve been a time more recent than that, but the bottom line was that Rhett had a nice right hook, and Jackson’s no longer-perfect jaw took the full brunt of it.

There was for sure a few teeth loose, and blood was dripping from the blonde teen’s mouth. It hurt like a bitch, and each time he went to speak, Jackson felt a surge of pain akin to getting kicked in the knads. Hard. Still, regardless of the pain, the drunkened Jackson found his balance, and rose to his feet, looking directly ahead at the topless Rhett.

That’s the pot calling the kettle black, don’t you think Rex?” Jackson commented. He spat to the left of him, blood spraying all over the sand. Jackson wiped his mouth. “All this buzz about you being the next King of Beverly Hills High School must be going to your head because your little sister, Miley, hits harder than you do.” Jackson said with a laugh. He cocked his head to the side, relieving the tension in his neck, and he raised his arms. His fists were balled. His right arm close to his chest - bent - and his left bent also, but further away. If they really were going to duke it out right here and now, Jackson would for sure do his best to give Rex a fight for his money.

You know Rhett’s philosophy of not cursing? Well, fuck that shit. Fuck this shit. He was heated. “What the fuck are you on about? You just spent the entire week crying like a LITTLE BITCH about a girl who doesn’t even know your name.” The venom in his tone seethed out and contaminated the air. This was going to get real. “Enough of this bullshit, hit me or cry that the only girls that want to fuck you are those that feel sorry for your ass.

Well, that wasn’t entirely untrue, but if he wanted to play hardball, then Jackson would fight fire with fire. “You want to talk about being a little bitch? Okay, let’s talk about you for a moment, Rhett.” Jackson said, “let’s talk about how you spent night and day vying for the attention for Anna, only for her to never return your feelings. At least with Eve, I had SOME shot of her liking me. You had a better shot of trying to get a pig like you. That’s not even mentioning that you two met by you slamming her noggin into the pavement with a football. Since, ya know, you want to bring up Eve.” Jackson gave a shrug, “but fine Rex, if you want this, then don’t mind if I do.” Jackson stepped forward, a straight left aimed at Rhett’s pretty, perfect nose.

Allowing the fist to hit his face, hell, most likely making his nose crooked (or broken), Rhett let out a chuckle, “Dumbass.” Not once did Rhett bring up Eve’s name. Laughter could be heard in the crowd at the mention of Jackson pursuing Evelyn Harding, best friends to Alyssa and Audrey, and climbing to fame Symphonic metal artist. If anything, he just made himself look more pathetic for even thinking he had a chance with someone like her. “This is the difference between you and I, Torvald.

First, he attacked with a big right overhand punch. Second, he drove his shoulder into Jackson’s chest, slamming him back into the DJ’s table. “You don’t know when to shut up.

Stepping back, giving Jackson a chance to react, he added, his tone shifting from anger to hurt and pain, “Who cares about all that? Anna. Eve. Other non-existant romances. That means shit to me. Bottom line, you fucked up.

It all went black for a moment when Jackson heard his middle name being used. No one said that name, and Jackson charged full speed(as much as his body would let him) into a variation of a spear tackle to Rhett, knocking both the boys to the ground. Jackson maneuvered his arms with the left one bent, and pressed against Rhett’s throat.

I fucked up? That’s funny coming from you. Or are you forgetting about Sierra man?” Jackson’s voice rose a few levels. “Sure, I admit my mistakes, but you pretty much dropped Anna like a hot potato for the next available piece of ass. At least I had the balls to wait until I was crushed before I even began to move on.” Jackson increased the volume of his voice, as well as the force of his left arm. “Yeah, okay, I was the one who fucked up. I’m the one who’s in the wrong here. And you’re Mr. Perfect, Mr. Who-Can-Do-No- Wrong. Well, except leave his best friend in the wind while your new ones take his place. But sure, I’m the one who fucked up.” Jackson kept his position on top of Rhett, staring at him.

Rhett was not having any of this and what Jackson failed to do in this position was posture up and make space between them. Grabbing control of Jackson’s hand (since the position was similar to a ground-and-pound attack in MMA), he pushed off Jackson’s hip and swung his body over, swinging his legs around, and switching to an arm bar. Locking the arm, he leaned back and arched his own hips, creating intense pressure in the elbow joint. There was a high possibility that Jackson could tear ligaments and tendons in his elbow joint. Of course, he could plead and they could call it quits but knowing Jackson, he was too stubborn to stop and one of them would leave with major injuries, “Not once did I say I was perfect. If anything, you’re painting your own damn self as a martyr. What about that girl from camp? She obviously didn’t mean shit to you. And here you are, using my sister to fill your empty void. What new friends are you even talking about?” This fight was turning to be not worth the trouble but before Jackson could reply, Rhett caught sight of Sierra kissing coffee guy… the guy that made her angry for the entire week…

It was in that moment that Jackson, despite the growing need to say something, he wouldn’t. No, it was more like he shouldn’t. As much as Rhett took a low blow mentioning Ash and implying that he was simply using Summer, Jackson knew when to talk and when to simply keep his big mouth shut for once. “You can believe what you want to believe. I’m done explaining myself to you, Aspen.” Jackson said, not even bothering getting out of the position he was in.

Having been in a few fights in their day, Wolfe and Ender knew how they ended. It either went one of two ways: someone was K.O.’d, or it got weird and uncomfortable. Unfortunately for the Elite… this was the latter. As men, when other men were fighting, it wasn’t their place to step in and end it (seriously, that one dude who tried to end it early was probably a douche) unless the winner got carried away pounding in the loser’s face, or if things got weird and uncomfortable. C’est la vie.

And, since Rhett had apparently just lost literally his only friend, and the Elite still owed him for keeping El Jefe from doing something...stupid, Sentinel and Ender had no choice but to be the men that stepped in. Properly, not putting an awkward end to the fight. Ender shrugged his shoulders, and spoke out to the crowd. ”Nothing to see here, people. Move along. Go make some bad decisions of your own, you only live once that’s the motto.”

Wolfe pushed through the throngs of people, Ender not far behind him. ”Come on, big guy. Let’s get outta here.” Wolfe said as he put his hand on Rhett’s arm and tugged him up to his feet. ”...why are three of us missing?”

After having released Jackson, no longer able to mentally and emotionally handle being in his presence anymore, Rhett glanced down at his best friend for years for a brief moment and then turned on his heel, “Let me fetch my stuff, I’ll come back in the morning to clean this hellhole up.” Once he gave Wolfe and Ender an appreciative look, ignoring Jackson completely, Rex left their side and got his shirt, his fitted cap, and a bottle of water. Now, time to look for his kid sister, Summer. This might be one of the worst days of his life.

And so there it was. After it was all said and done with, after going back and forth verbally and physically, the two friends of so many years, the two friends who often associated themselves as “The Bromance”, were no longer that. Because of alcohol that lowered Jackson’s thought process, because of a bad week, and because he couldn’t fight his stupid feelings, Jackson fucked himself over worse than he ever could sober. And the only question he had to ask himself was this: Was it worth it?

As Jackson sat up, stretching his arm, he repeated that question over and over in his mind. He ran the entire sequence of events that happened through his mind, and he couldn’t arrive at a definite conclusion. Yes, it cost him his friendship with Rhett, but there wasn’t a doubt in his mind that what he felt for Summer was something real - it just troubled him. No doubt pursuing Summer from this point on would do more damage than help any possible forgiveness he may or may not get from Rhett in the future.

Jackson didn’t know what he was going to do.

Fuck.

T I M E; Time To Reclaim What Is Rightfully Hers
O U T F I T
She had been off the scene currently as she had to deal with much personal matters within her life. Her parents had finally finalized the divorce so she was busy with that as she wanted to spend time her brother and father for awhile. Not that she hate her mother or anything but she was closer to her father - Daddy's little girl, if you will. Her brother and father, along with herself had taken a small trip to their but mostly her favorite place, The Hamptons. Even though the moment her parents told her about the divorce still haunted that place but she just made the most of it anyway.

After she spent a few days away, it was unfortunately time for them to return and face reality. The plane wheels had screeched as they landed at the airport. She was ready to return to Beverly Hills and take back her crown, something that someone else had claimed. Dominique didn't let that bother her too much but she was chosen by the other royals along with the King and Queen Bee themselves so rightfully, the title was hers. As she got off the plane and walked right into the airport, her mother was there and was so excited to see her back. They hugged each other then went and got Dominique's luggage bags then drove home. The ride was twenty-two minutes since there wasn't any traffic as when the got there, her mother finally asked about the trip.

Dominique sighed as she looked out of the car window before she answered her mother. "If I could stay in the area of The Hamptons, I would." Her eyes then fixated themselves to stare over towards her mother as she smiled slightly. "But I am happy to be back here with you and my friends." Just as she said that, her phone had lit up with notifications about a party that was happening as she really didn't want to go but she figured that she'd make an appearance anyway. Her and her mother got out of the vehicle, retrieved her bags and walked into the house while Dominique continued her stroll up the stairs and to her room. She had wondered to herself what to wear but then remembered this dress she had brought that's perfect for any occasion.

She had showered and got dressed as she really didn't worry about unpacking right about now. She had reviewed herself over in the mirror after she applied a slight amount of makeup to her face, tied her hair up into a high ponytail and placed a pair of heels that matched her dress color upon her feet. When she felt that she was ready, she gave herself a reassured nod then waltzed out of her room and down the stairs. "Hey, mom. I'll be back soon." Was all she had muttered before she had exited the house and got inside her car. She had took a few selfies and uploaded them with the captions: Guess where I am. Guess where I am headed.

Dominique placed her phone down as she then revved up her engine and basked in the sound before she pulled off and drove towards the party. A few minutes later, she had arrived as she knew that she'd be the talk of the party. Dominique revealed herself as she got out of her car, fixed her dress slightly along with her posture before she took to the beach. Of course, all eyes were on her as she made her entrance and her presence felt. Her eyes were widened as she couldn't believe the turnout of this party. People were literally everywhere.

She had placed herself by the punch bowl, where she was the entire night as she talked to people that came up and talked to her. After awhile she had received a text from Isabel as she read it then immediately sent her a text back.

To: Izzy Bella ♥
Okay. Hurry!

She had sat her phone down then took another sip of her punch then a fight erupted before her eyes. Dominique had honestly rolled her eyes as she just thought to herself that boys will be boys. Her eyes squinted as she saw that it Rhett that had started the fight with Jackson. Dominique had tried to assert herself to break it up but then stepped back then heard a voice that had told Rhett to stop fighting. Her eyes peered over towards the female then saw her chicas standing with her.

As soon as the three of them trailed off towards the shoreline, Dominique did the same as she came up behind them and started speaking towards them, hoping she didn't scare them. "Hello, ladies." She said then narrowed her eyes towards the adorable blonde that was around them. "Oh, hello there. I'm Dominique." She extended her hand out for the blonde to shake. "And you are?" She smiled genuinely towards the blonde as waited for her to introduce herself. "She's so adorable, Izzy and Jules."

A Twin, A Niner, & A Fallen Queen Oh and eventually a Wolfe & Some boys

Time: CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT?

Well, five minutes ago, Ty was very interested in the party and his friends, but then his phone buzzed, and Ty literally stopped in his tracks when he saw what it was. He hit the download button, waiting for his phone to snatch the picture, then grinning when he saw what it was, and who it was from. Based girlfri- ex-girl- fuckbud-... uh, based Juliana. Yeah, Juliana. An important woman in Ty’s life, and he hoped she always would be--even if he had a weird way of expressing that.

So, naturally Ty just replied to the text, expressing how overjoyed he was with the lewd photos sent to him by Julia. Of course she was forgiven. Honestly, it was suddenly impossible for Ty to remember what they had even been fighting about. Young love, yo, it just didn’t make sense.

And so, our hero began the next step of his quest to greatness: finding his girlfriend and getting down and dirty with her. A not so noble quest, for a not so noble boy, it was fitting. However, Ty’s friends were not that into his adventures with Julie (despite how ‘phat’ Ty may claim her butt to be), and he had to split away from the Elite. Ty, in his general genius fashion, cited a lack of snacks as his reasoning, and wandered off into the crowd.

Holding onto her yellow heels, her small feet feeling the sinking wet sand and the cold water that slowly came and left the shoreline, Juliana glanced up at the stars, while her sister and Summer discussed the incident from earlier.

I know it’s wrong… I shouldn’t have led him on, but he’s been around my brother for so long, you know?” the Niner sighed, realizing how much she ruined her brother’s night, “Maybe I should just go home…

Isabel, too holding her heels (but her’s were more like black ankle boots), allowing her feet to enjoy the comforting feeling of the gentle current, stared up at Summer, while continuing walking ahead toward a group of rocks. “You’re young. Enjoy yourself. But I will suggest that you worry less about… love. Focus on your passion, you’ll be happy. Trust me.

Mhm! Izzy always says you can’t love someone else until you love yourself!

The twins turned their heads simultaneously at the voice of their friend and one of the Queen’s of the school. Honestly, there were so many dominant women that wanted to run Beverly Hills High that campus was bound to turn into a war zone. Julie would most likely support Dominique through thick and thin (hence why she texts her faithfully with cute gifs), while Isabel would only support her within reason. The main reason why Izzy decided to accept the royal position was because of how much Julie wanted it. If conflict between Alyssa and Dominique arose on school grounds, Izzy would have no choice but to pull her and her sister out, even if losing the ‘royal’ status would break Jules’ heart. High school was already full of drama, adding a war between two cats would get tiring, real quick. For now, she would support Domi… for as long as things stood reasonable.

Summer glanced at Isabel with a puppy dog stare, seeking permission to talk to the regal senior. In return, the ice skater gave her a nod of approval, while Julie nudged her forward. With a faint blush on her cheeks, the Niner twirled some of her golden hair with her pointer finger and nervously smiled, “It’s nice to meet you, Dominique… I’m Summer. Summer Aspen. I’m... ” She hesitated for a second before apologetically rambling, “I’m sorry for my brother’s anger! He never--

”Yo, if Wolfe was here he’d be all up in your shit, you apologizin’ cuz she’s a queen whatever-the-fuck, yo? That shit’s lame, yo. Trust me on this, ain’t no queens in Beverly Hills High School, just two psycho bitches who think they run the show, yo. Truth is… Connor runs the show. Well, we run the show, but Connor runs that show so technically he runs the show you know what I’m not here to defend the ins and outs of the social ladder, dammit, I’m here to touch Julie’s butt in the lewdest way possible.”

Dominique eyed the little blonde as she had introduced herself as Summer Aspen, sister of Rhett. She nodded her head towards her then eyed Izzy and Jules once again. Summer was fixing to apologize for Rhett’s actions from earlier, which Dominique wasn’t really bother by anymore until a male came up and interrupted her. Honestly, his words were really getting underneath her skin but she still stood there as regal as ever, still with smile plastered among her feminine facial features. She let the male say his peace then waited until he was done before she intervened.

”Well, I know that I’ve been gone for awhile and another female stepped up to claim herself as the Queen but let’s not forget who was chosen as a successor. She can be the Queen, for now anyway. And before you go around calling people, women at that, psycho and bitches, think again. I have nothing else to say to you.” Dominique countered her words and ended her statement with a firm head nod as she was done with the male. Her eyes flickered back over towards her chicas, Izzy and Jules and now, Summer. Well, hopefully.

Coincidentally, it was at that moment, that Juliana’s tiger tromped onto the scene, pulled away from the throngs of people--it had helped that they’d conveniently circled around a fight, or something. Ty was certain that in the center of the circle was someone he was associated with--most likely Ender. Ender fought a lot. Ty, personally… he was more of a lover than a fighter.

And he (though he wouldn’t know how to say it), really loved Julia. Especially when she was naked. Currently, she wasn’t naked, and there was a blonde girl (cool), and her sister (not so cool), and that severely lowered the chances of Juliana getting as naked as Ty liked her to be. Oh well, they could still kiss.

And touch. Yeah, kissing and touching was okay in the presence of the cool and not so cool people they were currently in the presence of. ”Hey, baybeee. I found you! You made it hard. That’s fucked up, you should probably kiss me to make up for it.” Ty scolded, waving his finger at Julia.

Break. Over.

Tiger!” Juliana gleefully cheered at the sight of the incoming jock, wanting to run to him, but noticing the grimace on her sister’s face. Trying to play it cool and make it seem she wasn’t as excited as she was, she brushed her blonde locks behind her ear, and smiled at Summer, “I mean, Ty. Summer have you met--

This playboy, jerk, idiot, who thinks he can always be forgiven by my sister just so he can have her V.

ISABEL.” Juliana was visibly offended that her sister was bashing Ty like that.

”Yo, I have made the acquaintance of the young blonde one, we met at one of Leo’s… speed semen demon things. She aight. But, yo on da real, I’m gonna take that shit as a compliment, yo. Ain’t many playboys in highschool, yo, but you damn right, ya boy’s a playboy, a regular P. I. M. P. But I done gone and settled down, because Juliana is the girl for me, yo. She is the light in the mornings, yo, the clouds in the sky, and she has a REALLY GREAT BUTT. And, to be honest, yo, I got my head all the way up in it. And then she’s the sweetest damn lil girl ya ever met especially at this hell hole we call a school with all these damn awful people, for example, Isabel, Evelyn, Jade, and, uh, what’s-his-name, ol’ fuckboy that Rhett was slappin’ around. Anyway, my point is, Julie is bae and you gotta get off my dick Izzy, there’s other dudes you can cockblock.” While he had been speaking, Ty had been closing the distance between himself and his girlfriend, and was now wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her gently before turning back to face Isabel. ”She don’t need to be babysat, yo, if what she wants to do is forgive and fuck me, then dammit, let her rock. I’ll make it up to her anyway with cookies and cakes and other pastries that you ain’t gettin’ none of cuz you’s a bitch, yo. And that’s the bottom line, cuz Ty said so.”

Pouting up at Ty, not appreciating his honesty toward her sister, Julie softly muttered, “Be nice. She means well.” Holding her boyfriend tighter, she went over his words in her head and raised an eyebrow, “Oh? You met Summer before?” Her stormy orbs glanced over at the niner, “You ride? I wouldn’t have taken you for a biker.

In immediate defense, Summer laughed, “What? Me? A biker? I just… stumbled on the scene!

”Oh bullshit, girl, you can’t get off that Leo dick cuz he got those fast as fuck bikes and don’t try and lie to me because dammit, I never forget a face kissed or a body groped, yo. I ain’t lyin’, and boo’s gonna believe me because she’s my lovergirl. Ain’t that right, Julia? You gotta go fast and you like the way the vibrations feel or some shit, I don’t know, but the fact o’ the matter is, you’re all about the bikes. Trust me, yo, the numbers don’t lie, and they say that you are a biker.”

Utter disgust fell on Juliana’s face. Pushing him away with as much force as she could muster, she teethed, “Get away from me! You’re an asshole!” She wasn’t going to deal with him or anyone for that mattered so she decided to leave but first… she threw her yellow stilettos at his face, ducking out of the way of the bright yellow shoes… which sailed past their intended target, and instead toward Isabel.

W-what? Throwing shoes was a bit much… Summer bit her lip nervously. Oh god, what has she done? Her eyes widened when she witnessed Julie’s shoes hit Izzy’s decent sized chest, causing the dark haired twin to cringe for a brief moment.

I fucking… hate him. The pain on her face was quite visible. Fucking shit, her sister wore sharp heels. Picking herself up, trying to gain her composure back, Izzy growled (along with a fiery glare), “You don’t love her.

”You don’t know shit, yo. You don’t know what love is, yo, you some dumb icy bitch that hates everyone that ain’t Julia, where I got news for you, honey, I love her. Love ain’t perfection, and it ain’t like we’re gonna have a perfect relationship cuz I ain’t perfect and she ain’t neither, really, yo. Love is when I force myself to wake up before her after we do the deed and then I make her breakfast in bed, or when she texts me late at night to make sure I’m okay because I fell asleep hours ago and I forgot to say something cuz I’m a dumbass. You just some salty ho that’s gotta ruin everybody else’s night because you ain’t happy! And she’s gonna forgive me, cuz guess what, yo. She loves me back. So even if I fuck up--which I do a lot, yo, I ain’t perfect, I’m just some street kid from the east coast, she comes back and gives me another chance because I do everything I can to make her happy and usually I do a pretty damn good job.” Ty reached down and picked up a small shell from the tides at his feet. ”So don’t you go tell me who I do and don’t love, bitch.”

Ty then gently threw the shell at Isabel.

When he called her twin a dumb icy bitch, Julie picked up in speed. She didn’t want to be at this party anymore. Why did she care so much about him? He didn’t love her. Not really. As soon as she allowed her mind to enter a dark place, he ripped her out of it by saying he did love her. This was the first time he’s ever said those words about her. Her pace slowed down… she attentively listened to the voice behind her. The more he talked, the more her heart rose, and she felt her cheeks getting hot. He was saying all the right words and she didn’t know how she should react…

On one hand, she could keep walking and be the strong, independent woman, who didn’t need any man. She knew her sister would appreciate that. Being ‘easy’ only meant she’d get used and abused. On the other hand, he was right. She loved him so fucking much. The only reason why she came to this party in the first place was to see if he was here. To have a reason to see his face, even after they fought three days ago. Okay, maybe she was insecure and afraid she’ll lose him to the next blonde piece of meat he caught sight of, but she was an exception, wasn’t she? If he didn’t love her, they wouldn’t have lasted for three, solid, beautiful years. They weren’t perfect. Hell, she’s fucked a couple of his teammates when they were ‘on break’, so she wasn’t that innocent either.

But what should she do?

She shouldn’t love a man who calls her sister a bitch. She shouldn’t love a man that doesn’t watch his mouth, regardless if it’s intentional or not, and more often than not offending someone. She shouldn’t love a man that doesn’t always express his love for her in a way that makes her know he wants to be with her. She shouldn’t…

And yet, she did. She loved that he made her laugh and comforted her like no one else could She loved that when he did realize he messed up, he gave more than his all to gain her forgiveness back. She loved that he knew when she was upset and how to change her mood instantaneously. She loved how he looked at her, how he whispered the sweetest (and dirtiest) things in her ears, and how if he could, he’d spend as much time as he could with her, because… he loved her.

Ty loved her.

Caving in, Julie turned around and locked her gaze with her boyfriend. Vulnerability flushed over her… why was love so confusing? His eyes made her weak in the knees and caused butterflies to flutter in her stomach. Not wanting to make him wait any longer, she ran back to him - full speed. Forcibly crashing into her tiger, she buried her face into his chest and started sobbing.

Clenching her teeth, Isabel was completely fed up with these two. You know what? Fuck it. She was done. If Julie wanted to continuously get hurt by this douche bag, so be it. “Since you love her so much, take her home. Or not. I don’t care anymore.” Not even saying goodbye to her sister, the small twin with hatred and annoyance seething inside of her, she marched ahead and beckoned Dominique and Summer to follow her, “I’ve had enough of these two.” The confused Niner simply obeyed and trailed behind the furious ice skater.

Dominique didn’t really know what to say at this point. This matter didn’t really involve her or Summer as she just stayed in the background and watched as the situation unfolded right before her eyes. Some of things that was said, she wouldn’t have allowed to be said towards her. She was entirely fed up as she knew that something else was going to escalate right here, right now, again. It was a high school party on a beach so more than one or two fights or shouting matches were bound to happen. She had enough as her head was starting to hurt. Maybe coming to this was a bad idea. Dominique was really starting to regret her decision right about now.

Once Isabel turned to walk away, Dominique trailed behind her along with Summer as Juliana stayed there with her boyfriend. She’d have to make a note to talk to Juliana about that later. Dominique let out a sigh as she ran a little bit and made it beside Isabel. ”Hey. Just calm down, Izzy.” That was all Dominique muttered as she then walked beside Summer as she let her words towards Isabel sink in and hoped that she would really just calm down. This night wasn’t going exactly as planned.

It had only taken one single word for the hunter to lock onto a scent.

Wolfe had heard that screech coming from Ty’s slutty-ass girlfriend to know exactly where his boy was. So, with Ender and Rhett in tow, the Sentinel was headed down the beach, shaking his head. ”With my luck, we’re gonna walk into him nailing her on the sand…” Wolfe said, looking away from his chosen path for one brief second. Unfortunately for him, when you’re a giant, and Ty’s girlfriend's sister(Wolfe did not know her name, never cared to learn it, probably never would) was a veritable short-stack, there were problems to be had.

Those problems included literally running into her.

Isabel was even more unfortunate. Where Wolfe just felt something bump into him, the poor girl was basically running into a brick wall… which sent her flying back onto her butt in the sand!

”Would you watch where you’re goin’, girl?! I’m walkin’ here!”

With her knees touching and her plaid skirt slightly rising, Isabel with a squint face from the pain of crashing into A GIANT kept quiet. This night was turning out to be fucking shitty, but for both her sister and Dominique, she came. On top of that, this asshole just told her to WATCH WHERE SHE WAS GOING. Picking herself up and brushing her skirt down, Isabel had the darkest of expressions on her face. If she was aggravated before, she was now enraged to the point that she wanted to use her nails (sharpened on purpose) and claw that ugly mug of his. “Eat me, you pathetic excuse of a man and failed abortion whose birth certificate is an apology from the condom factory.” Not having anymore of anyone’s shit, Izzy didn’t give anyone a chance to stop her from just leaving. This asshole wasn’t worth her time.

No, she just left.

Alright, well, Wolfe hadn’t found Ty--which was putting a slight damper on his plans, but he had found the short chick that was always with Ty’s girlfriend. Ty’s girlfriend’s sister. ...Wolfe couldn’t recall her name, mostly due to the fact that Ty consistently referred to his girlfriend’s sister was ‘the turbobitch,’ or ‘the master of the cock block,’ or ‘she really hates me dude I don’t get it.’ It went a few different ways, and Wolfe had never had a word with her, barely anything beyond a passing glance.

BUT GODDAMN THIS CHICK WAS HILARIOUS.

Maybe it was the couple of drinks he’d had working their way into his bloodstream. Maybe it was the weed that had been tossed into the flames. It didn’t matter what the source of it was. The end result was the same: Wolfe lost his fucking mind in shoulder heaving fits of laughter as he watched the girl walked away.

LOCATION — The Bashin’ Beach Bash
INTERACTIONS — Eve (@lovely complex), Jade (@Altered Tundra), Jareth (@Silent Observer), and Ari (@foxygen)
TIME — Time to make Jar uncomfortable

As if Evelyn’s hazel gaze wasn’t captivating enough, her words alone sufficed to stun Jareth completely. His altered mind trudged through what she had just said, dissecting it piece by piece, as if that would make it easier to fathom. A game - a three part challenge - with the final reward being… being hers tonight? Talking to her at all, let alone for as long as Jareth already had been, was astounding. The fact that she had just offered even a glimmer of hope at sleeping with her nearly left him slack-jawed. Of course, he wasn’t about to let this opportunity slip away like the sand beneath their feet. After Jade, well, let’s just say it has been a while… not counting the rebounding shit he and Ely did right after the break up. It was possible that he was reading between the lines a little too much here, but hell, it was worth playing her game just to find out.

All right, then. Game on.” Jar said with his signature grin - a half smile that raised one cheek high enough to squint his right eye slightly. He hooked both of his thumbs in the pockets of his skinny jeans - though they were not as painfully skinny as usual, allowing room for swim trunks underneath - as he eagerly awaited the first of her three challenges.

With a rise of her lips, Eve surveyed his every move in chilling silence. He was a lucky one tonight. If the raven gave anyone more than two minutes of her time, that meant she had a reason. As he stood there with the stereotypical stance of his “type”, the wind blew strands of hair in front of and to the side of her face, causing her to brush those strands behind her ears, she softly teased, “Are you sure?” Tempting as she was, she wanted him to be fully positive he knew what he was getting himself into. A night with Eve was a dangerous thing. Oh, and maybe she was testing the waters to see how passionate he was to do three dares to get close with her. Her eyes trailed from him back to the party, taking note of the dance floor having a circle of people - that was now dispersing. Oh, lovely. A fight had just taken placed. How unfortunate she missed it.

Once again, Eve settled that rather unsettling gaze on him. There were very few people in Beverly Hills High that Jareth would describe as intimidatingly gorgeous, and Evelyn Harding was definitely one of them. Worse yet, she seemed to be fully aware of the effect she had. She was toying with him, but a scuffle near the dancefloor had distracted her momentarily. When she looked back to him, he did his best to cover his nerves and gave her a silent, yet confident, nod.

Bringing her attention back to the emo kid, the songstress gently bit her bottom lip in excitement before bringing up her first challenge (or at least trying to), “Why don’t you go over there and--

Of all people I would catch chatting, you are two people I never thought would be together.”

Growing silent, since she was rudely interrupted, Evelyn glanced at one of her fans, her expression unenthused and apathetic. That girl had more pricks than a second hand dartboard. Jade was becoming more and more insufferable as the days went on. This is why you do not befriend loyal fans. They forget their place and think they have the right to approach you every chance they get. What a cheap slut. Glancing at Jareth, then to Jade, then back to him again, the raven warmly smiled, “Looks like we’ll have to reschedule.
Her voice shifted from sweet to stern, like a parent scolding a child, as she brought her attention back to Jade, “It wasn’t like we were talking or anything.” Unfortunate circumstances for Jareth when his needy... friend? Girlfriend? Ex?... Didn’t want him to get laid.

Before she dismissed herself, she seductively whispered into Jar’s ear, “That’s too bad… we could have had fun.” Pulling away, she said her goodbyes, “Maybe you’ll get what you want from ‘your friend’.” With that, the dark haired beauty walked away.

Of all people. Of all people. Did Jade really have to come over here, right now, at this very instant? Without even consciously doing so, Jareth froze at the very sound of her voice. There wasn’t enough weed in the world to cover up the turbulent way that she made him feel these days. Jareth knows, he tested the theory, thoroughly. Not only that, but her very presence had driven Evelyn away. "That’s too bad… we could have had fun." The whisper still hung on his ear, threatening to send chills down his spine. Yeah, ‘too bad’ was right.

You are an insufferable, wretched bitch.” Jareth said coldly, once he gained the composure lock his eyes with Jade in a harsh glare. Instead of reacting like the broken person he truly was, he fell back on old habits. Sadness was easily replaced by anger, it always had been. And right now, he was seething.

Nice seeing you too, Eve!” Jade would say with a smile to the now departing rockstar, but that smile was gone as she heard Jar speak “What’s your deal, Wells? Seems to me you were losing that battle. It’s not like she’s out of your league or anything, right?” In that moment, Jade’s smile was back, if not slightly teasing towards Jareth.

Jar looked down at the sandy beach and laughed. Not a genuine laugh, no, the kind of laugh you do when you are in complete and utter disbelief that someone could actually do what they just did. Yeah, that’s the one. The breathy chuckle was cut short as he pulled his lip ring in with his front teeth and looked back up at her. He wanted to say a lot of things. He wanted to punch her lights out. He wanted to kiss her.

What.. the.. fuck? What is this, Jade?” Jareth said in a raised tone. Generally, when he wasn’t fronting the band, Jar was quite soft spoken. He certainly wasn’t right now, though. “It has been weeks. WEEKS! You haven’t said a word to me. Why come over to me now? … are you fucking jealous?” he asked incredulously.

She wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of confirming or denying whether or not she was jealous of Eve, because if she was going to speak honestly, Jade was confident that he would think she was jealous. Like, come on! It’s Evelyn Harding. Anyone who was anyone, even someone who was at the bottom of the food chain, knew who she was. Adding to that, she was fucking hot. So, maybe there was some jealousy there, but that wasn’t what Jade was feeling right now. No, it surely wasn’t jealousy.

Take a step back there, emo boy. You automatically assume that I give two shits who you decide to shack up with but I am a bit surprised that you would go for someone that high up on the food chain. I know you’re a glutton for punishment, but I didn’t know you were suicidal too.” Jade couldn’t help but laugh. There was not much else she could do at the current present.

What?!” Despite being a poetic song writer, he was at a loss for words. Perhaps it was the blatant suicide reference, to the kid whose best friend in the whole world had actually tried to kill himself, yeah… she was always such a classy girl. For a moment, he wondered what exactly it was that he ever saw in her. Of course, what he saw in her was standing right there in front of him, all eight miles of those fine legs peeking out from under a skimpy tie dye cover-up. Before he could let those thoughts consume him, he looked away, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. She could be the hottest girl at this party, she wasn’t, but if she was, he still wouldn’t take that bait. She was dead to him.

You know what, Jade? Evelyn might be ‘out of my league’, but she’d never be what you were.” he let the statement hang there. Partially to be dramatic, partially because he was nutting up to actually say the next part. “A mistake. A huge, regrettable mistake. Fuck off, Jade.” he said, turning on his heel to leave her behind. Hopefully forever, if the world could ever be so merciful.

Jade wasn’t going to lie. That stung. It more than stung, it actually hurt. No, he didn’t hurt her feelings, not really, anyways. No, the fact that he said she was worse than Eve was a bold-faced lie. But of course, Jareth doesn’t know what Miss Harding did to her cousin, did he? No, not Jay. God-forbid Jay get on Eve’s radar, but Jackson. That impulsive, dense, half-witted assclown, who had nothing but affection for Eve, got entirely crushed. Now, Jade was originally going to thank Eve for what she did to Jackson, only if to thank her for knocking him down a peg or two, and bringing his obnoxious levels to surface level, but seeing as how she left, and Jareth was using the low road, the game was on.

Oh that’s funny, Jareth” The way she said his name was meant to be taken as negative as humanly possible.”Shall I tell you a little story about Eve, hm? You might enjoy it.” Jade left her ex with that thought as he attempted to walk away.

Jareth had expected a witty retort. Their entire relationship had been made up of equal parts sex, and verbal sparring matches. So, when she spat his name in two venomous syllables, he react by holding up a middle finger behind him as he walked away, not even stopping to respond. “Tell it to someone who gives a shit, doll.” Right now, he wasn’t that someone. At least, he was really trying not to be. His buzz was officially killed, and the night looked to have no real prospects anymore. He was out of here.

Jade might’ve not been the kind of person who cared if he didn’t care about what she had to say, but it really ticked her off to no end that he couldn’t even say that to her face like a man. So, in a fit of rage(and partial offense), Jade stepped forward in a run, and brought her arms in front of her. Both palms were out, and she, quite literally, shoved Jareth’s back. “If you’re going to insult me, at least say it to my face, not as you’re walking away. Or maybe you can’t even face me LIKE A MAN” she said harshly, continuing to shove him until he turned around.

The force of her palms was enough to knock the wind out of him. Had this whole experience not been so sobering, he might have actually fallen instead of just stumbling forward. Deep down, he could have expected this kind of behavior from her, but it didn’t make it any less enraging. Spinning quickly on his feet, his glare shot daggers at her. He even dared to square up, toe-to-toe with her, so that he was not just to her face, but in her face. “Say what to your face, exactly?” his voice was louder than before. Not enough to cut above the music, but enough to perhaps turn the few nearby heads. “You’re a cunt, Jade Riley. And it was you who dumped me, remember? So why are you still talking? We’re done. I’m done. I don’t care about you, or whether or not you think I’m a man.” Jar stepped back so that he wasn’t quite so close to her, and raised both hands to flip her off this time. “To your face.” he quipped saltily.

Well, at least he finally told it to her face. At least he finally manned up, and told her exactly what he thought about her right to her face. If Jade weren’t wanting to give him any satisfaction through a verbal or facial response, she would give him exactly that. Seeing as how that wasn’t going to happen, a lightbulb went off in her head. Yeah, that could work. Jade smiled as wide as she could without giving anything away.

You’re right, Jar-bear, I did dump you. I was the one who ended things, and yet,” Jade took a step forward to close the gap between them. “Despite your rhetoric, despite saying how done you are with me, you’re still here. You could have just as easily walked away, and left me alone here, but you didn’t.” Jade’s left arm began to stroke Jar’s slowly, “you can easily save both of us a lot of wasted time and admit you’re still into me.” Jade’s other arm came around Jar’s waist, her head arching back so her eyes met his.

Jareth would be lying if he said that he didn’t like how this felt. For nights after the break-up, he had sleeplessly stared up at the ceiling, wishing for a moment like this, like a lovesick puppy. To be holding her, to be held by her, to feel loved. Too bad Jade kicked puppies. He could let this happen, whatever this was. A part of him - a larger part than he cared to admit - wanted to let this happen. He was weak, and he always had been. He always would be. But… even the slightest prospect of having something better than the heartache Jade had to offer, was enough to sober him. Jareth lifted his hands and ran them up her arms, softly at first before gripping just below her shoulders and urging her away “Please. Don’t do this.” he said, the fire in his voice was gone now. For the first time tonight, she was hearing him for what he was: wounded.

Oh what to do? Jade thought about that for a moment. Even as she caught wind of something giving in with Jar, she didn’t do anything…yet. She wanted to take in his face, how he was failing to resist her, and just everything that was happening in the span of the last couple of seconds.

When the time came for her to act, Jade would do it in silence. No words, nothing resembling even half of a word. Utter, and complete silence as she raised her body up by her tippy-toes, and gave Jar a rather steamy kiss on his lips. It would only last a few seconds.

As she went back down on her feet, Jade smiled, looking around. “Oh look, there’s Jay. I gotta catch up with him. See ya around, Jar!~” Jade shot Jareth a wink, and ran off towards where Jay and Sierra were at.

The kiss had only lasted for a few seconds, but that was all it took. The weeks spent gluing the broken pieces back together was undone in just a few, devastating seconds. Jade’s final words didn’t even register, the only thing that did was that she was gone now. Jareth was left alone to be consumed by his own fragility, which he was. It was hard to breathe. The tremors started first in his hands, like they always did, travelling upwards until they became full-on shakes. His mind whirled faster than one of those rides at the fair that leave you feeling nauseas. He couldn’t settle it on any one thing, so instead it spun through everything. Jareth ran his hands over his face and knotted his fingers in the hair near his temples as he tried to focus on anything to anchor him back to the present. A sight, a sound, a smell. Jesus fucking Christ, it was hard to breathe!

It had been a long while since his anxiety had gotten the best of him, as his most recent dosage adjustment had been working. Once the worst of the attack had passed, Jareth decided that it was time to drown the rest of his feelings in alcohol. Jar trudged through the sand until he found himself back at the drinks table. Coincidentally, Ari was also there - alive, but no longer standing. Jar glanced at his friend, his own expression a mixture of distress and silent rage, before he poured himself three consecutive shots of tequila. It tasted like ball sweat, but it would do the trick.

Jareth looked back to his friend now. He looked grumpy, but Ari always looked a little bit grumpy. Jar considered the fact that he had essentially ditched him earlier, but struggled to form the words for a proper apology. Honestly, he really wished he hadn’t left him at all in the first place. Nothing good had come out of it, which must have been evident on his face. “You should try guys.” Ari said rather matter-of-factly.

The slight bitterness in his best friend’s tone went over his head, as did the not-so-subtle implication. Jareth chuckled quietly. “Yeah…” he said and then looked away, distracted by a thought. “One day... women will all become monsters.” Jareth mused and then slumped down defeatedly into the sand beside his buddy.

TIME — Reckless Abandonment Time

What had happened shook Jackson. Even more to the point, he was getting glares. These eyes were from people who tried to help him up, to which Jackson flat out refuted their offer by shouting at them vulgarly. The other eyes that gazed upon his beaten, bloody mug were that of pity. They were eyes that felt sorry for him. They were eyes that wondered if maybe he was beat just a little too much by Rhett. But the other eyes - those that looked down upon him - laughed as they passed him. They had no doubt heard his mentions of Eve. They were the ones who laughed at him, like it was so hard to believe that Jackson Torvald Drake could have a chance with Evelyn Harding.

But it was true. Jackson really had no shot with the likes of her. Sitting where he sat for almost ten minutes, Jackson now knew that to be true. After what happened with Eve, and now with Rhett, JB was not thinking of Eve in that way. That meaning, he wasn’t thinking about her in a positive light. All thoughts and feelings he had for her now were drenched in metaphorical blood like his face was. Each time her name came up by people who passed him or when he would think about her face, Jackson couldn’t help but feel a burning fire in the pit of his stomach, wanting to pound the shit out of her perfect little face. And he knew that was frowned upon, but oh how he wanted to do it so badly.

As Jackson felt that he had enough time sitting down, he got up. He struggled. He definitely had a few bruised ribs. That was a given. Rhett pounded his face in. The ribs were probably his least of his worries. His face had a good number of problems. One of his molar teeth was knocked out and a few got chipped. Added to that, Jackson also has some bad cuts on his face. His right eyebrow was cut open, his cheek was puffed up slightly, and his lip was cut slightly.

Jackson tumbled over as he got up, so now he was back on the floor. This time, however, he was face-first. He grunted in annoyance. “Hey, you!” JAckson called out to the person in front of him. The guy looked a little taller than Jackson usually would be if he were vertical. He had dark hair. It was hard to tell if it was long or short from where Jackson was. He had lightish skin too, but that didn't really matter at the moement. What did matter was that he was there, and Jackson needed his help.

Who me?

Yes you.” Jackson said, confirming the man in front of him.

What do you want.

Be a lad, and help me up!” Jackson requested.

Oh sure.” he said, holding out his hand.

Jackson took it, and the male used his strength(of what he had left), and lifted himself up. “Ah, thanks for that. Apparently getting your ass beat doesn’t leave much room for being able to get up by yourself.”.Added to that, even with other guy’s help, JAckson still found it rather difficult to get up. His body ached in all the wrong places, and everything was beyond sore.

I feel ya man. I’ve been in a few scrapes once or twice.

My man!” Jackson held out his free hand in a balled fist. “Bump it man.” The male did. “So, what’s your name?

The Parentals named me Wesley, but call me Wes. It’s a lot cooler.

Hells yeah!

Jackson and Wes bumped fists.

Okay, I should be good.

You sure.

Mhm! Thanks for your help again.

Sure thing bro. Catch ya later.

When Wesley took off in one direction, JAckson, very slowly, proceeded to walk. He might’ve been in a shitty situation with the injuries and overall public perception of him, but as long as he kept a slow, steady pace, he should be able to make it to the car within ten or fifteen minutes. Yeah, Jackson had enough of this party. Even if it would have been nice to things to end differently, it couldn’t have been avoided. Okay, that was a lie. Jackson was entirely at fault here. From letting Summer talk him into dancing to going off alone with her, Jackson should have drawn the line in the sand somewhere. Maybe it was when she fell on top of him when they were dancing. Or maybe it was when they went off together. Or maybe it was when she told him to kiss him. Yeah, one of those was definitely where he crossed the line somewhere.

Yeah, it was a shitty mess, and Jackson wasn’t going to make it worse for himself by staying around people that he knew didn’t want him around.

As he was about halfway there, Jackson caught glimpse of someone. Long, dark locks, a body that could kill, and she was heading off to the woods. He didn’t have to think about it. He knew exactly who that was. His fists balled up, and Jackson’s neutral mood was replaced with something more akin to seething anger. It was Eve, and she was heading out towards the woods that separated the beach from the entrance/exit(depends on how you look at it). A thought came to Jackson that maybe he should just leave her be. That maybe he dug his grave deep enough, but what kind of chance would he get to give her a piece of his mind like this one? She was alone, and he would be able to say what he wanted without any worry of anyone laughing or intervening. It was perfect.

So in that moment, JAckson stalkerishly followed Eve. He made sure not to make so much noise as he pranced behind her. When he was confident that they both were alone, JB would confront her.

Evelyn Harding!” Jackson called out to her. “I have a few things I want to say to you.

Was she never going to get peace? Eve got enough of this (and some) at events her and her bandmates got invited to. This is why she would rather be home writing songs at her piano drinking or even feeding Alyssa strawberries. These events were below her and for some reason, students, who meant absolutely nothing to her, felt like they had the right to talk to her. Taking a deep sigh in, she turned around to look at the culprit of the voice. They were in dark woods so she couldn’t make him out well, but she could tell that he was blonde. Crossing her arms, she watched him approach her. By now, Eve did find out what had transpired earlier, but as always, she did not know Jackson well enough to put his name to his face, “Yes?” Most girls would be afraid to be alone in the woods with a drunk man, perhaps Eve should be too, but she wasn’t. Why fear death when she was already killing herself with her deadly habit? “I have someone waiting for me, does this have to be discussed now?

She was the cause of this, and she doesn’t even realize it? Does she have no soul? Or did she simply not care? Jackson was betting on the latter. Women like her seemed to only care about how to pass their boredom. It didn’t matter who got hurt in the process. As long as they weren’t bored, they payed no mind to the suffering cause. “I’m sure they can wait for a few minutes. You’re not going anywhere until I have said my peace, Evelyn.” he said angrily.

Jackson didn’t care about what was going to happen to him after this. He was past the point of self-preservation. It might’ve been reckless to do this, but no time like the present, right? Besides, one way or another, Evelyn Harding was going to hear what he had to say, even if he had to force her to listen.

If you’re going to talk, talk.” Evelyn’s patience was already limited and this child had the audacity to tell her what she could and could not do. A selfish boy this one was, who thought he was more than a dime a dozen. Her hazel orbs never left his face, waiting for a response. All this time being wasted and for what? So he can say drunken words to someone he hardly knew and regret everything the next morning. Fine, she’ll play along.

Jackson might’ve been a bit intoxicated, but those minutes of sitting down after his beatdown without a single drop of alcohol had, at the very least, gave his body enough time to adjust. So, he wasn’t as drunk as he was earlier in the night. Even with that being so, Jackson felt a little woozy still. Not enough to lose his balance, but surely enough to where he couldn’t stay standing without any support. Luckily for the blonde teen, there were several trees around him that he could use as an aid to keep his balance.

As Jackson’s back was against the tree, his arms resting along the trunk, the feeling of the hard bark against his skin, he looked at Eve with a deep scowl. “You..you’re the cause of all of this. Because of you and your Unholy Trinity, you turned Rhett into someone that he isn’t. Before you came along, before you had to dig your treacherous claws into him to fit whatever mold you thought he would fit, he would have never reacted the way he did today.” Jackson sleft his support of the tree, and stumbled three steps to the right, head at the ground for a brief moment. His eyes returned to the object of his rage. “Oh sure, he would have beat my ass regardless if you got to him or not. I screwed up, but what you did is far worse. You and the rest of your fucking trinity.

Oh look who's taking out his insecurities on his supposed crush. We’ve only known Rhett for a week and you already fear us stealing him away from you? Oh sweetie, that’s cute.” If the boy wanted the songstress’ attention, he just got it. Taking a step closer to him, her dark gaze scanning his face, her tone never changing (smooth, calm, silvery), Eve cooed, “For someone who was ‘head over heels’ for me, you sure move on fast. Rhett must've loved seeing you kiss his baby sister. What a great friend you are.

Do not even pull that card with me. I spent the better part of the last year doing all that I could for you to even acknowledge me, and it was all for naught. At least with Summer, I didn’t have to go out of--

Doesn’t that make you kind of pathetic? Spending all your time looking at me and then moving to a young, innocent girl, your best friend’s sister, mind you, who would probably fuck you if you let her. Do you hear yourself right now? Who in the right of mind would pursue someone who doesn’t give a flying fuck about them? AND THEN,” Eve’s tone shifted to mocking and treating him like a child, “The moment he gets his tiny little heart broken, he turns to the easiest piece of meat because let’s be honest, you don’t know what you want. Summer was just conveniently there to comfort you.

Who the hell are you to tell me what I do or don’t want?

And you just told me not to leave. Stop playing the victim.

Trust me, if I was ever going to play the victim, it wouldn’t be to the likes of you.

The raven let out a rare chuckle. This boy was something else. If only she did notice him months ago just so she could have hurt him earlier. Looks like he’ll wake up in the morning with many regrets. She was sure of that and now that he was letting her in on all his… worries... This was just too easy. He might have just made the biggest mistake of his life. As far as she was concerned, he just lost a good hand. If anyone had the most influence over Rhett Aspen, the diamond in the rough, it was him, but look who's fucked up.

Eve could already see it play out now. Dominique would attempt to obtain her throne back. Of course, Eve wouldn’t allow that. And try to befriend Rhett, who had friends in many places. She was the first Royal to point him out, after all. Yet, Jackson blamed her and her friends. How quaint. Alyssa wouldn’t care too much to have Rhett’s support but he would be a fun project for them - to see how far they could change him and make him a ‘better’ man.

Were they truly his biggest concerns? No, not really. Jackson just lost a brother. Rhett was a 16 year old boy. There was only so much high school girls could do to him but the Elite? The ones that would make him feel part of a team, treat him better than a needy child, give him lifetime experiences, and help him optimize his full potential.

Boys should worry about being replaced by other boys.

Hate me all you want, sweetheart. At least that means you’re still thinking about me.” Eve playfully (and mischievously) winked at him, feeling completely ecstatic.

God he hated this woman. He felt so much anger towards her. He was livid And as much as he loathed her right now, he hated himself for knowing she was right. The fact that he feels this type of way about her meant that she was still going to be in his head no matter what. And a guy like Jackson Drake wasn’t the kind of guy to let these feelings go for a long while. Yet, despite those feelings of seething hatred, he may not be completely over the crush. The thought of that made him sick to his stomach, and made Jackson want to bash in the tree next to him. But he couldn’t. And he couldn’t very well do anything to Eve. It’s not like it would have any effect on her. The way she’s been acting this entire conversation, she would get a rise out of it. Or something like it, anyway.

You can believe what you want to believe.” Jackson was not about to give her any satisfaction - well, not more than she seemed to have plastered all over her face right now. “I had said what I needed to say to you. We’re done. You can go do whatever it is you royals do.” Jackson said. Instead of even waiting for her response, Jackson turned around, and would proceed to walk away, albeit stumbling side-to-side, and using the trees to support his bumbling legs.

Oh? Maybe I’ll ‘do’ your friend. I mean, ex-friend. He’s kind of cute. Not like he’ll talk to you about us anyways. Bye-bye, Jackson.” With those final words, Eve felt satisfied with this surprising interaction and continued her way through the woods and to the parking lot, where Alyssa was waiting for her.

LOCATION — Get me out of here → Domi's car, freedom! → Milky Moo's

INTERACTIONS — Summer, Domi, and Izzy (oh and some random dude in Izzy's way)
(@lovely complex, @HushedWhispers)

TIME — Too many feels

Would you watch where you’re goin’, girl?! I’m walkin’ here! That fucking asshole! Who the hell does he think he is? He was the one who rammed into her! (Then he LAUGHED). The simmering water was boiling within the tiny Espinoza girl. If she wasn’t the better person, she would have taken out her pen and stabbed his eyes out. On top of that arrogant nobody, who was obvious friends with the imbecile that had her sister’s heart, Isabel had to deal with the traitorous feeling that Juliana chose a boy over her! UGH!

Her destination: Away from this shitshow.

Having to enter the crowd of people to escape, the brunette let her ferocious daggers and seething aura push people away. She didn’t have to touch anyone. One glance at her and you knew she was not happy - at all. Some people mocked her. They could jest all the fuck they want, she didn’t care. An angry, short ass girl? HA! SO FUNNY.

One of those people she knocked into was a recognizable male from around school. Wesley Cross, one of Beverly Hills High School’s Drifters. Friend to all and not necessarily one to stick to one specific clique. Tall and slim, he was a man of slightly darker skin color than your usual white man. It was probably tanned or something of the like, and he was currently in Izzy’s way.

Oh, my apologies. I didn’t see you there. I hope you’re not hurt” Wesley said politely, smiling at Izzy to make sure if she was okay.

Ew. Isabel grimaced at his ‘kind’ words - who was this kid? Her brown orbs took in the way he looked at her and she HATED it. Or maybe that was just her anger of not liking someone she didn’t know look at her like he CARED. “Yeah, yeah. Sure you are. Save it for someone who cares.” She sidestepped to get around him and rolled her eyes, “No one ever fucking sees me!” And with that the shortie stormed off, not even saying a goodbye to the stranger.

And a good day to you too!” Wes said, bidding the short latina adieu, continuing along his way in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Summer sped walk beside Dominique to catch up with Isabel. The rage was strong in that tiny Royal. Before they entered the crowd, the Niner’s light brown orbs caught sight of Jackson… walking into the woods with Evelyn, his old crush. Her heart sunk and her hands started to subtly shake. Not only did she cause her brother and Jackson to fight (and break up) but he… Jackson wasn’t over Eve. Did their kiss mean nothing to him? You’re so stupid! Summer scolded herself. Why did she give into her feelings? Now she was seen as the weak one. No, she needed to take care of Izzy with Domi. No need to be sad that her love interest just used her to make himself feel better, rather than because he actually, genuinely liked her.

Smile, Summer.

Playing it cool and keeping her bright demeanor on, the young blonde glanced up at one of the Matriarchs of the school and cautiously asked, “Is she going to be alright?

Dominique paced herself as Isabel sped up her walk. ’Poor Izzy.’ She thought to herself just as Summer came up beside her as they both trotted behind Isabel, still trying to catch. She obviously picked the wrong night to wear heels, which she took off and held inside of her arm. Now, she had caught up with them and looked towards Summer as she asked if Isabel was going to be alright. By the looks of it, she was just blowing off some steam and knew that she would bounce back from this but Dominique didn’t know how to respond to Summer’s question, honestly. ”Uhm, once she blows off some steam. I would say so.” She assured the young blonde with a nod of her head as she linked her arm with Summer’s and picked up a small gallop so that they can catch up to the tiny figure before them. ”Okay, girl. Stop and breathe.” Dominique said as she stepped right in front of Isabel in an attempt to calm her down. ”Now, look, keeping all of this bottled up inside isn’t going to make things any easier or better for you. So why don’t we take a breather right here and just talk. Hm?” She spoke gently and wisely as she dropped her heels and rested both of her hands upon Izzy’s shoulders and stared right into her eyes. ”What do you say?”

Dominique insisted as she removed her hands from her shoulders and took a step back, just in case Isabel was going to take off again but this time, she was going to stop her before she picked up and steady pace again.

With her black heels in hand, Isabel tried her best to soften her stare when she looked at her friend, but the poison was still lingering in her tone, “If I end up in prison, it’s because two jocks were found dead in the water.” Looking around her and at the party goers, she rose her voice so they all could hear her over the music, “CONNOR, YOU BETTER TEACH YOUR BOYS HOW TO RESPECT A WOMAN.” Deciding to take a moment to put her heels on, she grumbled, “Fucking idiots. All of them.” Once her boots felt secured, she gave a boys-are-not-worth-my-time smile and looked at her two companions, “I know you just got here, Domi, but this party really has nothing to offer. The best thing that happened was the fight and maybe the weed being tossed in the fire to make everyone high, but really, you’re better than this. Let’s get a milkshake!

Her expression was slowly coming to a calm and her attention was brought to the Niner, “Text your brother and tell him you have a ride home. I’ll take care of you. Plus, he… needs time to cool down himself.” Summer didn’t want to waste this opportunity and… a milkshake sounded delicious right about now, a chocolate one to drown her sorrows in.

I’d love to come! And you got it, texting away.” The aspiring dancer did exactly that. Within seconds, she wrote to her brother: I’m sorry, Rhett. I love you. Go have fun and don’t worry about me! I found a ride home <3

Dominique felt the words her best friend had said as she talked about two being dead in the water, all thanks to her but of course, she wasn’t going to let that happen. Once they got back towards the party, Isabel shouted something towards Connor as she couldn’t help but chuckle a little bit at her words. ”Should’ve did a hairflip after that, Izzy.” Dominique muttered as she placed her heels back onto her feet, holding onto Summer for support. She gave her a soft thanks then looked at Isabel as she started to speak again. ”I know right, girl. I throw way better parties than this.” She looked a bit disgusted with the environment as she then shrugged her shoulders and looked towards Summer with a smile.

”Looks like you’re slowly becoming one of us, Summer. Glad to have you aboard.” She stated then looked at Isabel while she rummaged through her clutch purse for her keys, shaking them before the duo. ”So, should I drive us? I don’t think Izzy needs to drive right now.” She laughed a little bit, trying her best to lighten the mood, somewhat.

Isabel wasn’t going to argue, she wasn’t in the mood to drive anyways, so she simply stated while Domi was already walking away, “If you don’t mind, can you take us home when we’re done? I’m going to have Isaac pick up my car.Isaac was the twins’ butler, who more often than not cleaned up their messes and basically took on the role as their pseudo-father, since their actual dad was never around. Izzy already figured how Domi would respond, so she took the next moment to call her butler while Summer responded to her new friend.

Of course, Dominique would do anything for anyone that is within her clique so Izzy already knew what her response was going to be. She didn’t even have to answer her. Letting out a sigh and not giving them a moment to answer, Dominique turned heel anyway and motioned for the two to follow her towards her car, which she unlocked upon their arrival. ”So, Summer, how is Rhett? I haven’t talked to him much since the activity fair since I had to make an abrupt exit.” She inquired towards the little blonde ninth grader as she waited until they were all in the car before leaving the party.

O-one of you? Oh! I don’t deserve that! Not yet.” The Niner’s cheeks leaked red before she answered Dominique’s inquiry, “My brother is a really good guy. What you saw tonight isn’t something he does often, and I’m not saying that because I’m his sister… if he can, he’d use his words but this week hasn’t been kind to him. If anything, Jackson is the one that gets into fights constantly and Rhett breaks it up.” Summer bit her bottom lip not knowing how much she should share with these two ladies… they were good, right? They had the right to know about her brother, right? Entering the back seat and buckling herself, the Niner continued, hoping her words wouldn’t be something she regretted in the future, “Right before he enrolled into Beverly, our dad died… so, he hasn’t been that focused on his school rep, y’know? I’m trying to help him but he wants me to be a teenager. What about him?” Her voice was revealing the sadness she was trying to hide. Her brother was one of her biggest worries. Everyone that knew him, respected him, loved him even, but he puts on this front like he’s an unbreakable boulder. He was a brilliant man, excelled in anything he set his mind on, and refused to fail. She loved her brother, but… she wanted him to live.

Finishing her phone call, Isabel entered the passenger’s seat and got herself situated, “What did I miss?

”Oh, nonsense Summer. You’re going to be one of us. Just savor the thought.” Dominique said as Summer went on to talk about Rhett as she nodded her head, looking at the blonde in her rearview mirror. ”Rhett seems like a lover and not a fighter. But sometimes, you gotta do what gotta do, am I right?” She chuckled as she applied some light makeup onto her face as she continued to listen to Summer. Hearing the sadness hidden within her voice, she snapped her mascara shut and turned to look at her.

”Honey, you and Rhett are your own individuals in high school, none of the less. He’s just being protective big brother and looking out for his adorable little sister. I’m an older sibling, as well so I know what’s going through his mind.” She mentioned then breathed for a moment as she popped her lips together then stared right back at Summer, her hand placed on top of her hand now. ”Plus Rhett is really loved by his peers and respected, even. So, hey, don’t sweat it. You’re with us and we’ll keep you safe. Okay?”

Just as Dominique muttered those words, Isabel stepped into the vehicle and wondered what she had missed. Dominique gripped her steering wheel as she locked her gaze with Isabel. ”Oh, me and Summer were just getting well acquainted and talking about Rhett..” She said as she smiled. ”But nothing for you to worry your pretty little head off.” She offered towards the tiny twin but knew she was likely going to comment anyway.

Her eyes fixated themselves back towards the blonde before she cranked up her car and slowly trailed off away from the party. ”So, we’re going to Milky Moo’s, right?” Not like she had to ask but she looked in her mirror at Summer. ”What do you think, Summer?” She asked the blonde simply because she already knew Izzy’s answer as they came to a red light.

Nodding at the senior and giving her a warm smile, Summer answered, “Yeah, sure. That’s sounds really good right about now. I’ll have to work it all out in the morning, but one treat wouldn’t hurt!

Milkshakes sound good and all, but let’s go back to Rhett for a second. Domi, you know better than most, that he’ll want to join the rowdyruff boys. I don’t have a problem with that, Connor is a doll… sometimes, and that might even help Rhett enjoy himself. But I feel like we should… teach him better values than the lot of them.

”Yeah, one treat never hurt anyone.” Dominique agreed with Summer with the nod of her head. Once Isabel spoke, she couldn’t help but smile a little bit. She rolled her eyes a little bit while she also shook her head. ”Rhett is a big boy, somewhat. He’s free to join whichever clique he solely feels comfortable. But I still want him in my corner.” Dominique smirked towards Isabel a bit then looked at Summer. ”Oh, don’t mind us, honey.” She told her with the wave of her hand.

Honestly, all Rex really needs to brush up on is his ‘lingo’ and maybe how he dresses. He’s pretty respectable.” Summer smiled at the thought of her brother, “It helps he has three ladies to take care of when he’s home.” Summer’s response caused Isabel to raise an eyebrow.

I’m a bit of a cynic when it comes to boys, but I’ll trust your word. Maybe there’s hope yet.” Staring out the window, Isabel blew her bangs out of her face. Her steam cooling down as Dominique drove to their destination. The blonde tilted her head in curiosity.

With more incentive to be herself around her two new companions, Summer innocently pried, “Bad love life?

The ice skater didn’t find the little girl as a threat, so Izzy simply shrugged, “Just one, but enough for me to think… I’m surrounded by idiots.” It didn’t help that her ex cheated on her and she forgave him a couple of times, until she realized she was just a game to him. Of course Juliana’s ‘love’ for Ty infuriated her. He could say how much he loved her all he wanted to, that wouldn’t make Izzy believe him. “Either way, tell us a bit about you, Summer. Pretty name, by the way.

Sitting up in her seat, excited to get to know both these lovely girls, Summer happily informed, “I guess the best thing that defines me as a person is… dancing. I love to dance! And I really hope I can make Audrey proud of me!

Dominique listened to Isabel and Summer talk as her eyes were focused on the road. She wanted to add her two cents here and there but just waited until the two ladies were finished with their little conversation. Her eyes went over towards Isabel with a soft expression upon her face. ”So, are you saying all guys are idiots?” She teased her lips curving into a smile. ”I told you that you should’ve dated my brother. Yes, he’s a nerd but at least he knows how to treat a lady.” Once again, she teased Isabel then looked back Summer.

She admired the fact that Summer loved to dance as she nodded her head. ”That’s all you have to tell us, Summer? Nothing juicy?” Dominique inquired towards the blonde again as she didn’t want to pry in any kind of way. ”Who do you like at Beverly Hills? There has to be a guy you’re interested in, am I right?” Dominique asked as they were close to their destination. The sign to Milky Moo’s could be seen from where they were.

Being with her chicas were exciting than that beach party that just left. Sad, really. Dominique turned into the parking lot and parked the car, shutting off the engine. She reached over and grabbed her purse then eyed Isabel and Summer and waited for either one of them to make a move before she did herself. She kind of knew once they were done talking about Summer, all the attention was going to be turned towards her.

Oh that’s right, you don’t know why Rhett hit Jackson, do you?” Izzy got out the car, grabbing her purse, and walking beside Dominique. Turning her head toward Summer, the shortest of the bunch didn’t say anything more. The rest would be for the Niner to talk about.

Hopping out the car at the same time Isabel did so, Summer confidently followed the other two girls. When the subject of who she ‘liked’ was brought up, her pale cheeks became rosy red once more. Not only because she was thinking of that heated kiss from earlier, but also because of the shame of the mess she caused… “Jackson… for as long as he’s known Rhett, actually. Those two were always together and he may be an idiot, but his heart is in the right place. I didn’t expect him to ever return my feelings but then tonight.. He kissed me. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t happy. It’s terrible for me to like him. It really is… especially when he doesn’t actually like me back.” Her light brown orbs trailed to the ground.

Izzy couldn’t help but take on the big sister role. Lifting up Summer’s chin up with her pointer finger, the once angry girl, now more… collected, serenely smiled, “It’s okay. Love is troublesome. We won’t judge you. The heart wants what the heart wants.” She cringed at her own words because Julie and Ty’s faces entered her mind, “That being said, I don’t think you should wait for a boy who doesn’t know what he wants. Just by looking at your face I can tell that you saw something you didn’t want to see.

Summer locked her gaze with the Espinoza girl - the Niner truly felt like she could belong with these girls. “Mm… Jackson isn’t over Eve, it seems.” No longer wanting the discussion to be on her, she hooked onto both girls arms and cheered, “Lets go inside!

It wasn’t her place to dig further into the matter, nor did Isabel really like talking about ‘Eve’, so she decided to turn her head toward Dominique and ask, “Where you’ve been? You missed a lot and it’s only been a week.

Dominique got out of the car along with her fellow girls and stood outside for a moment as the spotlight was on Summer and who she liked. She couldn’t help but notice those cheeks of hers getting redder by the second as Dominique could really feel these things within people. It was somewhat of a gift. Once Summer spoke the name, she gagged and cleared her throat. ”Summer, honey, you can so do better.” She offered the blonde then listened to the words Isabel spoke and nodded her head. ”Ah, but yes, the heart wants what it wants. I agree with Isabel every step of the way.” Dominique said. Just as she interjected herself, Summer locked her arms with them and really wanted to go inside.

”We’ll go inside but this conversation isn’t over.” She teased the blonde as she walked in first, holding the door to allow Isabel and Summer to come in right after her. As they stood in line, Isabel popped the question. The question seemingly everyone was dying to know. Where has she been at? Why was she abruptly off the scene? Dominique looked towards Isabel with a raised brow. ”Well, if you must know, my mother and father finalized the divorce. So, I am officially my mother’s and my brother is officially my father’s. I had to see my father one more time so we went to The Hamptons, which is my favorite place to visit.”

She took a small breath then went up to the counter and ordered herself a Cookies ‘N’ Cream Milkshake. ”Oh and whatever these lovely ladies would like.” She added as she handed the cashier a twenty dollar bill and told him to keep the change. ”But yes, that’s where I been for a week, ladies. And I leave one week and everything seemingly goes downhill. A new Queen? People fighting? Obviously the new Queen isn’t doing such a great job at leading.” She said as the cashier handed the ladies their respective milkshakes. ”What else did I miss?”’ She asked as she took a small sip from her milkshake.

While Isabel ordered mint chocolate chip, Summer excitingly received fudge brownie. They both listened to Dominique quietly. The Niner decided to keep quiet as the older women discussed the school’s affairs. Making her way to a booth, Izzy sighed after taking a quick sip of her shake (not one to like when other people buy things for her), “Thanks, though you really didn’t have to do that.

When they reached the booth, Summer scooted in and Isabel sat beside her. Shrugging at the inquiry of what’s been transpiring on campus, the brunette gave her a brief summary before bringing things back to what she thought were more important matters, “Alyssa is filthy rich, powerful, and knows she’s top tier. I don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news, but you left, which you’re not at fault for that, but the only person running the school was Connor, who doesn’t give a fuck. So,” She paused to let her words settle in before adding, “Of course the trio would take this chance to ‘claim the throne’, so to speak. The party didn’t even have anything to do with her, it was all Rhett’s idea to impress us since at the time, Connor was on the fence of actually taking on the title.” Isabel took a longer sip of her shake and sighed at her friend, “Jules can’t stop thinking about Ty’s dick and I can only do so much, y’know? And you already know, I’m preparing for the Grand Prix. How to stop Alyssa, Eve, AND Audrey is not something I have time to think about.

You ice skate?” Summer felt slight tension with the subject matter and hoped this would turnover to something more lighthearted. She would keep a mental note that Audrey was friends with Alyssa and Eve (god, why did her idol have to be friends with Jackson’s temptress?).

It’s my life. Kinda like you and dancing.” Isabel answered the Niner before bringing her attention to the First Queen, “But this isn’t about me, are you sure you’re okay? I was too young to remember when my parents divorced, but I know how it can be a touchy subject.

”I know that you’re not a fan of people buying things for you but hey, it’s the least I could do.” She offered Isabel as they approached a booth and she sat down along with the two ladies. Dominique eyed Isabel with that piercing stare of hers as she spoke about Alyssa. Of course, she rolled her eyes then shrugged her shoulders as she took another sip of her shake. ”Since when does being filthy rich and powerful put you at the top?” She waved her hand about the matter as she didn’t wish to stay on the topic much longer. ”By the way, Connor running the school sounds like a joke. Just being honest.”

Isabel knew that Dominique didn’t want to talk about this anymore but mentally, she knew that people with beauty, brains, and money, always ran the show. Part of why she hated politics, which even high school turned into a war of opposing views.

She looked at Isabel and parted her lips to speak but her next choice of words might’ve set someone off. Dominique originally picked Rhett to rule the school with her, yes but since she’s been gone for a week, things have indeed changed. When Isabel mentioned how to stop the new alliance of Beverly Hills High, she smirked a little, a small plan already formulating within her mind. ”Yeah, you concentrate on the Grand Prix. I’ll take care of the rest.” She said as her eyes narrowed towards Summer now.

Dominique let Isabel and Summer have their little conversation as she was happy for them both but more so for Isabel. Her eyes widened once Isabel asked was she really okay as Dominique sighed and let out a small huff. ”Not really but I will be. I’m honestly devastated that I have to be away from my father and brother. Not that I hate my mother but she wants me to live up to her life so bad that I cannot keep up any longer.” She opened up and told the two ladies.

”If I could transfer schools, I would but then that would make me look some type of way and I don’t need that right about now. I’ll continue to attend Beverly Hills and be with the people I know. I’ve missed you guys. Besides, I can see my father and brother anytime I want.” She offered the ladies the small dose of information as she sighed then took a napkin from the bin on the table and wiped her eyes. She only shedded a tear or two though. Dominique straightened up now as she eyed the two ladies before her. ”Sorry you guys have to see me like this. I’ve been pretending that I am okay for too long now.” She said after a few sniffles then eyed them once again. Yes, she was truly upset and now only Isabel and Summer knew how she truly felt.

Juliana was better in these emotionally charged situations, all Isabel could say to assure her friend that she was here for her was, “I missed you too.” Internally, alarms were set off and the tiny twin did not know how to deal with this. Thank god for Summer.

Don’t worry, Domi! You shouldn’t be ashamed of your tears. You’re having a hard time, we understand.” The blonde grabbed Dominique’s hand and pressed on it reassuringly, “You’re a strong woman and you’ll pull through, I know you will.

Twirling her straw in her shake, Isabel watched as Summer handled the situation and her gaze softened, “You remind me of Julie.

Before anymore reactions could happen, Summer’s phone began to rang and she quickly let go of Domi’s hand to answer it. Turns out that the niner had a curfew and was grounded… she had TEN MINUTES to get home. Her face was visibly shaken when she closed her phone shut, “I may have snuck out… to go to Rhett’s party.

Dominique felt relieved to find out that Isabel had missed her. It warmed her inside and by her mannerisms, Dominique let it show. Her eyes then went towards Summer - Sweet, adorable Summer as she spoke and Dominique shook her head and offered Summer a thank you. Dominique chuckled at Isabel as she shook her head and went back to drinking from her milkshake. She gasped once Summer’s own phone started to ring then widened her eyes at Summer’s words.

”Well, we better be getting you home then, girl.” Dominique said as she quickly grabbed her keys and stood up, finishing off her milkshake as she tossed the cup in the trash on their way out of the restaurant and got inside of her car. She completely forgot that Summer was a Niner, as she sort of didn’t act like. Once everyone was settled in, she asked Summer for directions to her house as she started to drive, turning wherever Summer said to turn.

Honestly, Dominique wasn’t in any kind of hurry because surely Summer was grounded once she walked through the doors of her home. She made one last turn and finally approached Summer’s house as she looked back at the blonde. ”Well, here you go, Summer. Hope to be spending more time with you, again, honey.” Dominique said with a smile as once Summer got out, she slowly started to drive off as she didn’t need to ask where Isabel lived since she already knew. She dropped Isabel off after they talk for a brief moment as Dominique told her to be chill for when Juliana comes home.

After that, Dominique decided to head home herself. She finally opened up to someone about how she was really feeling and honestly, it felt good. She felt better, much better. Dominique had made it home, herself, safe and sound as she turned her engine off and got out of the car as she made her way inside of the house. Her mother was most likely already knocked out for the night as she just went to her room, showered then plopped down on her bed with a huff. ’Man, what a night.’ Dominique thought to herself but hey, at least she got to have a milkshake with her chica, Isabel and one of her future chicas, Summer. That was the best way to end the night.

Location: The Lame Beach Party -----> Andrews Gym
Time: Irrelevant
Interacting With: Each Other (@Universorum @Dirty Pretty Lies)

From the moment she’d stepped foot in the sands of Rhett Aspen’s beach party, Audrey Huntsberg had been wanting to leave. Of course, Alyssa had run off to take care of some Queen-related issues, which left Audrey and Eve awkwardly standing besides the drinks table. This was paradise in Eve’s eyes, but given Audrey’s current relationship with alcohol and how just the smell of it made her sick the brunette bombshell was not pleased. After a few attempts of trying to suppress her gag reflex, Audrey decided she couldn’t take the stench anymore, and thus she excused herself with Eve to go and take some much needed fresh air.

The young woman decided that a stroll along the shoreline would be the perfect way to clear her head, so she took of her flats and began her walk, feeling her feet sinking under the cold, wet sand. The beach was always one of Audrey’s favorite places in the world: it was like her therapy when she was feeling overwhelmed, upset, sad or just plain stress. The sound of the waves comforted her, helped calm down any negative feeling and brought her peace. This time, however, not even the beach could prevent her thoughts to continue to spiral in the same direction: Troy Blake. And since her mind was so insistent on her having this one guy even after trying every possible way to banish him from her thoughts, Audrey decided it was best to get things over with once and for all. So she rummaged through her bag until her hand found what she was looking for, and she took her phone out. After taking a deep breath with closed eyes, Audrey began to type a text message.

To: Troy
I can't stop thinking about you or that night. Let's make it happen again. Meet me up?
Audrey

With slightly trembling fingers she pressed the send key, and bit her lip in anticipation. She didn’t have to wait too long for a response back.

From: Troy
No. I’m busy. Bother somebody else.

Audrey’s eyes narrowed to slits, and her fingers went white where they held her phone. After all the teasing he’d been doing throughout the week, after she had swallowed her pride and made the damn first of texting him (which was a MAJOR no-no in The Unholy Trinity’s book), he told her to ‘go bother somebody else’ because he was ‘busy’. Did he really think he could just up and reject her like that?!

Audrey Huntsberg had a hidden talent that came in handy to her friends: she was a master cyber-stalker. Not in the whole hacker way of course, but the simpler type (the ones who not only look for the social media of the person being looked for, but also visit the ones of their close relatives, etc.). With just a few clicks of her keyboard, she could find out as much information as she could about a person’s social life, and have a fair idea of the person’s interests, frequently visited places, family members, etc. As soon as she’d found out the full name of ‘Camaro Guy’, she immediately took to the social networks she knew so well to start her investigation. But much to her chagrin, dear ole’ Troy Blake wasn’t a fan of social media, because looking him up in any of them failed to produce any results. That didn’t mean she gave up, of course. Yes, it made her purpose a little more difficult, but she wouldn’t stop until she found out something. So, Audrey took to search engines, where her searches were more fruitful: a few pictures and sports news articles about him winning what seemed like boxing tournaments, and a very interesting one who announced he was now the owner of a gym in the area. But what was the name of the gym again? Another quick search gave Audrey the answer to that question: Andrews Gym.

Well, it looked like it was time to pay Troy Blake a visit.

Without wasting any more time, Audrey summoned an Uber to her location and gave them the directions to the gym, and in no time they had arrived at the huge but dark building.Still furious at having her offer declined, Audrey stepped out of the Uber and stomped her way to the gym’s nearest door. She didn’t care that the place seemed empty, or that with how dark the parking lot was she could easily get raped or mugged. All she cared about at the moment was getting an explanation from Troy Blake about why was it that he denied her his company so bluntly. When she had reached one of the metal doors on the side of the gym, Audrey began to persistently bang her fist against the metal door. No one came to open it. She knew he was in there: the sole light coming from the office window was the tell-tale sign. So she would have to try harder.

“TROY!” Audrey shouted angrily in the direction of the window. “I know you’re in there! You better open up this door right now, because I’m not going anywhere until you do!” As if to prove her point, Audrey banged her fists even harder against the metal door. Her fists were getting tired, though, so if he took too long she would have to take a step further and begin to kick. “You will listen to what I have to say!”

Only death could save him from this suffering. Or, another beer. Yeah, that sounded good. Doing his best to mentally block out the girl hitting his doors, Troy stood up from his chair and headed back toward the fridge, grabbing another cold one and popping the cap off, flicking it at the empty bottle on his desk, before flopping down at the desk.Upon seeing that Troy was not responding, Audrey began to kick at the doors.

Did she ever shut up? Listen to what she had to say? He didn’t want to. ‘Go bother someone else.’ Was that so hard to do? Troy slammed the rest of the drink and stood up, rolling his eyes for a second. Women. He stomped out of the office, flicking on the lights in the rest of the gym as he headed to the door. This was a terrible idea. Couldn’t he just brood in peace? Honestly.

The deadbolt on the door clicked, and then the knob turned as he opened the door, suddenly staring down a crazy Italian-Latina bitch. Here we go.

Audrey only stopped kicking the doors when she heard the deadbolt on the other side of the door click open. Angry and red-faced, Audrey probably looked like some sort of deranged animal. “Excuse me, just who the hell do you think you are?! Do you seriously think you can reject me?! I went as far as to text you first, which goes against everything I believe in, and all you can say is to ‘go bother someone else’?! The nerve of you, Troy Markus Blake!”

“First things first. Shut. The. Hell. Up.

“That’s not what you told me when you were banging my brains out in the car and the motel room that night.” she spat back, crossing her arms across her chest, scowl still in place.“So don’t you go telling me to shut up! You don’t get to boss me around!”

“Do you know where you are? Shut up. I’m gonna boss you around, because I can, and you’ll listen because frankly, you want the dick. Or you wouldn’t be here right now. Choice to be made: Shut up, come inside, or I shut and lock the door and I go to sleep. What’s it gonna be?”

At that, Audrey finally sobered up, albeit her face was still red with anger. As much as she painted herself to be this unreachable, unapproachable young woman who was too good for any man, there was something about Troy Blake that she just could not resist. Had it been any guy talking to her like that, he would’ve gotten a good slap and more than a few choice words. But since Troy was in the right here -that all she really wanted was to sleep with him again, and she was in his turf- and it was best to keep him happy so he wouldn’t go around telling everyone about their business, Audrey did as she was told.

Still shooting daggers in his direction, Audrey took a deep breath, straightened her shoulders and snobbishly walked inside the gym. The place looked to be equipped to the core and in pristine condition, though the cobwebs in some of the machines and weight sets revealed that they haven’t been used for a while. It seemed the rumors were true then: ever since the gym had passed on to Troy’s ownership, he had closed it down for personal use. ‘How selfish of him…’ Audrey thought in dismay, mentally shaking her head. Oh, well. Maybe he had a good enough reason for it to be this way.

Once inside the gym, Audrey turned to look at Troy. “Okay, I’m inside. What now?” she asked him with a scowl, hands on her hips.

”Well, there are weights in the gym, and there are beers. Since you probably don’t like lifting, I guess we’ll have a beer.” Troy said simply, staring at her as if he couldn’t wait to get her out of his zone. The very fact that she was in his building put him at rage levels that he didn’t know were physically possible. Actually, now that he thought about it, it wasn’t even real rage. It was petty annoyance. That was even worse. Troy scowled to himself as he shut the door behind Audrey, flicking the locks back shut. “Thanks for, uh, showing up. At my gym. In the dead of the night. And, y’know, pounding on the door like it owed you rent. And then, bitching more when I let you in. Is there anything else? Did I forget anything? Oh, yeah, SCREAMING. At the top of your lungs. You realize we are in an area with curfews right? Get your head in the game, princess.” Troy said as he walked past her, toward the office.

Audrey watched as Troy shut and locked the doors, and she trailed after him on his way to the office. “I don’t care about curfews. They can sue me for all I care. I was not going to settle for anything else than what I want. And since you weren’t listening to me, how else was I supposed to get your attention besides what I did? So, if you get a visit from the cops because of the noise, just remember you were the one who brought it on yourself for not listening to me in the first place.” She stopped walking at the office’s doorway, and took to resting there on her left side with her arms crossed. “Um, where am I supposed to sleep? You don’t expect me to fall asleep on top of some disgusting workout mattress that has sweat from every guy who’s used it, right?”

“I don’t even have an actual bed here, and I’m pretty sure you’d find a way to pop my air mattress, out of pure spite. So I don’t know where you’re gonna sleep. You’ll have to figure it out fast. Time’s a-wasting. And I only have so many beers. And now, we can’t drink them all.” He said, pulling the office door open and taking a seat at the desk, kicking his feet up. “Welcome to paradise. Population: Me, with one unwanted guest.”

Audrey decided to disregard the whole ‘unwanted guest’ thing and simply made a face at him as her only reply. Then she looked around the office in search of somewhere comfortable, but failed to find anything. “Don’t you have like a couch or something? I can manage with a fluffy couch.” Audrey told him, giving the room yet another quick look before officially deciding there was nothing.

Troy thought for a moment, staring at her as he considered it. There was a couch in the break room, but it was his couch. ...but, if he banished to the break home, maybe he could go back to what he was doing before: wallowing in self-pity. Glorious, glorious self-pity. After a few more moments of contemplation, Troy nodded. ”There’s a couch in the break room, c'mon. It’s old, though, and probably dusty.”

Audrey cringed heavily at the thought of sleeping in an old, dusty and probably moldy couch, and she began to second-guess herself. Had it really been a good idea to come here even when Troy clearly didn’t want her there? Wasn’t it better to leave the bitter young man alone and find someone else who would appreciate her? Or better yet, wasn’t it an even better idea to just leave, go home and get that much-needed sleep? Nope, none of these options appealed to Audrey. She wanted Troy, dammit! She had wanted Troy for weeks now, and she sure as hell would get him. If having another chance to sleep with Troy meant she had to make a few sacrifices, she would do them, because at the end of the day the satisfaction she would get was worth it. Audrey finally nodded at Troy, stepping away from the doorway so he could come through.

“It’s a better option than sleeping on the floor, for sure, and things could be easily solved with a few towels on top of the couch or something. Lead the way then, boss.”

Troy shook his head, wondering what exactly he was doing in this situation, and why he’d even let her in in the first place. This entire night was shaping up to be one of bad decisions, and silently, Troy was wondering if he should just kick her out and go back to what he was doing: feeling sorry for himself. But, she was a girl. She was alone. It was dark. It wasn’t safe. And what kind of pseudo-hero would Troy be if he banished her to her fate at the mercy of the streets of LA.

A shitty pseudo hero, that’s what. “Come on, it’s over here.” He said, standing up and leading her out of the room and toward the old employee break room. Absently looking over his shoulder at the girl, Troy frowned. “The fuck do you really want, anyway?”

She waited until Troy exited the room and then followed suit, out of the office and into what appeared to be some sort of break room, before Troy finally asked what was it that she wanted. “Okay, the truth of the matter is that I was bored out of my mind at Rhett Aspen’s party because my two best friends abandoned me to talk to other people, and since I don’t really like anyone else who was at that party I decided to see if you wanted some company.” Audrey explained, shrugging before plopping herself onto the couch. It nearly swallowed her up, and the small cloud of dust that flew up as she sat down made her cough for a few seconds. She fanned the dust particles away from her face before looking up directly into Troy’s eyes again. “Look, I’m sorry I barged in here like I did, and made the scene I did. And let me just point out that it takes a lot for me to even consider apologizing to anyone, by the way, so take that as you will. But I don’t like to be rejected, especially when…” Audrey trailed off, looking down so the blush in her cheeks wouldn’t be as visible. “I just… I really wanted to see you again. I wanted to know if the chemistry we had that night was more than just alcohol and hormones in our system.”

Troy stared dumbly at her. She had better be sorry for pounding on his door like that: this was a place of peaceful reflection, not one of crazy Latinas. ”It’s not a good time for me.” He said bluntly.

Noticing the shift in his voice, Audrey went quiet for a few minutes. Her eyes scanned the area for some time until they fell on a particular framed photo that was hanging on the wall of the room they were in. Intrigued by the photo, the brunette stood up from the couch, walked to the wall and took a closer look at the photo. In the photo was Troy with an older looking man who was standing with his arms wrapped around the younger version of Troy--aged around 12, maybe 13 at the time, holding onto a trophy he’d just won at a competition. There was a black bow glued to the top right corner of the frame, with curly, silver writing in the ribbon: Rest in peace.

It was then when Audrey remembered a few key lines about a news article she had come across on her Troy research: Owen Andrews, owner of Andrews Gym and builder of champions, has passed away this summer at the age of 75 due to a heart attack. His legacy and contributions to the boxing and MMA communities will never be forgotten. The future of his gym now rests in the hands of his protegeé Troy Markus Blake III, who has inherited the prestigious building and has kept it closed off to the public. And if she did the math right, this meant that Mr. Andrews had passed away about a week before their fiery encounter in the Nirvana tribute. The dust on the floor, the cobwebs in the equipment… No wonder the poor guy had been sulking since summer.

Audrey was now feeling incredibly bad for acting out the way she did. How could she have forgotten such a key piece of information! There he had been: mourning the death of a loved one, and an angry Audrey had barged into his sanctuary without a single care or second thought. Well, it wasn’t like she could do it all over again, but she could at least try to make him dislike her a little less than he probably did at the moment.

She turned to look at Troy with gentle eyes -an uncharacteristic thing in her-, and addressed him in a soft voice: “I bet you miss him, huh?”

”Yeah, I do. But it’s none of your concern.” Troy said simply, bending his knees at the end of the couch and lifting up. ”You probably shouldn’t sleep in this room, though. It gets cold.”

Audrey wasn’t stung by his bluntness. Quite the contrary: she understood where it came from. After all, she had gone through something similar a few years back. The young woman decided she would share her story with him, so that maybe, just maybe she could make him feel a little better. But before she exposed her rare, barely-seen sympathetic side, Audrey walked to the opposite side of the couch and lifted it up as well, though she struggled a little with the weight. Together, the pair wobbled to the office and placed the couch in the wall opposite the desk. Sighing, Audrey plopped herself on the couch again. Her soft brown eyes once again went to Troy’s face, and she took a deep breath before beginning to talk.

“I know you probably don’t care, but I’ll share my story with you. The summer before my freshman year my grandfather passed away because of a heart attack. He’d been diagnosed with heart disease for some years now, but his passing was a sudden and unexpected one. When I found out, I was destroyed, as if a piece of my heart had died along with him. Besides my father, he was my protector, my guardian angel, and I was his little princess, whom he would spoil to death whenever he had the chance. Even though we lived in different countries we were still close, but it was precisely this distance what made everything worse for me.That summer, I became a shadow of my old self, going as far as to lose some of my interest in dancing. But after starting high school I realized that I couldn’t keep on acting the way I was; that my Papa wouldn’t have wanted to see me that way. It took me some time to go back to the swing of things, but I eventually did.” Audrey was silent for a moment, letting her words sink in before finishing. “I know you might not think it now, but trust me: it gets better with time.”

Troy closed his eyes briefly as she spoke, wondering why she even felt it a good idea to share this with him, listening to her speak and opening his eyes to… just stare at her. The silence hung in the air, lasting almost a minute as he bore a hole into her, barely even blinking, before finally, in a solemn voice, Troy spoke:

”No, it doesn’t. And it’s none of your concern. I said that once already.”

The fact that Audrey sympathized didn’t mean that she didn’t get fed up with people’s attitudes easily. It was enough that she was going so far as to share an intimate part of her life story with him, and she understood that he was in pain. But that still didn’t give him reason to treat her so briskly. Her eyebrows came together in a frown. “Whatever. You clearly don’t want me here, so I guess I’ll just leave you to whatever it was you were doing before.”

Troy could spend his evening alone, in the room, wallowing in his self-pity, but she’d already showed up. If he let her leave now, she’d take his show of weakness (however faint, however brief), and she might rat him out to someone else, and that wouldn’t be good. It’d throw off the food chain--not the stupid social ladder--the food chain. The thing that mattered. Troy looked at her and shook his head, heading over to the fridge. He pulled it over and withdrew two beers, cracking the lids off of them, before holding one out to Audrey.

”Better plan. Drink. Then get naked.”

“And what happens after that?”

“You get what you want, then we go to sleep. Then we move on with our lives. Again.”

Smirking now, Audrey gestured to Troy to hold her beer for a second. In the blink of an eye, her clothes were sitting in a pile beside her, and she was taking back the beer bottle from Troy’s hands and taking a swig.

“Let’s get this party started, then. I hope you don’t mind I changed the rules.”

INTERACTIONS — Each other, Jade
@Dirty Pretty Lies @Altered Tundra
TIME — Denny's Time

Jade was rather proud with the way things went with Jareth. She didn’t expect it to go that way, but who was she to complain? The blonde teen was able to make him squirm, but all that aside, she had missed him. She didn’t know exactly if she loved Jareth still, or if she simply missed fucking with him, but one thing was for certain: he was going to be thinking about her, and that’s all she cared about.

As she smiled proudly, Jade noticed the lovebirds. They were sitting down on the sand. Why they were, Jade had no earthly idea, but whatever. By the looks of the way they were wrapped in each other’s arms. Sierra’s back was to his chest, and Jay had a hold of her waist as if he had no care in the world. More to the point, Sierra seemed…happy? No that couldn’t be right. She was never happy, not to this extent, at least. She was salty. Yes, she was Salty Sierra. What changed? Jade was going to find out.

Seeing as how they didn’t notice her approach them, Jade quietly tiptoed behind Jay. In a matter of seconds, the blonde hovered over her Indian cousin, her blonde hair flowing naturally down over both Sierra and Jay’s head. “Hey there,” Jade said simply, looking at both Jay and Sierra.

Tonight, Sierra Jameson was acting in unrecognizable ways. If she were in her usual mood and looked at herself and Jay from the outside, she would surely gag. She despised those lovey-dovey type couples to the core, and couldn’t comprehend what was their pathological need to show so much affection in public. Surely they didn’t get enough love and attention as kids for having that need to be so explicit about their affection? It still didn’t justify the way they subjected everyone else to their overly-expressive torture, but her salty self eventually just learned to live with it. Hey, living with it didn’t mean she wouldn’t make some snarky comment about how they should stop sucking their faces off and get a room!

But there was something about this night that made Sierra feel it was magical. Maybe it was the combination of weed and alcohol, or maybe it was just the overall feeling of the evening. The soft sound of the waves coming and going, the sea salt breeze cooling their, the way Jason’s arms were wrapped around her in such a loving and tender way, their bodies close enough to give warmth to each other, the way they kissed and laughed and kissed and smiled and kissed… It was as if their senses were unaware of the rest of the world and nothing else existed but each other. And Jason was just so damn fucking sweet. He treated her like she was a rare jewel that he couldn’t get enough of, and quite frankly, she couldn’t get enough of him either. In a surprising twist, she really liked all this affection with him. If there had ever been a definition of a vanilla-type heaven in Sierra’s commonly dirty mind, it was definitely this.

Si had been right in the middle of yet another deep kiss with Jason (they were doing a lot of that tonight) when she heard a familiar voice addressing them. For a moment Sierra considered ignoring whoever was talking (Didn’t they see the pair was obviously busy?), but decided against it in the end after thinking of the person staring at them as they kissed. Begrudgingly, Sierra pulled away from Jay’s honey-sugar-candy cane lips and looked up in the direction of the voice. Her droopy eyes lit up in recognition. “Oh, it’s you! Hey Jade!” Sierra greeted, lazily waving a hand at her. “You been enjoying the party so far?”

I should be asking you that,” Jade said smiling. She took a seat to the right of Jay and Sierra, seeing that neither of them bothered to move their current position. Jade shrugged at that seeing as how they were just so comfortable being interlocked in each other’s arms. “Though, I suppose I am.” Jade thought about it. Perhaps yeah she was. Get this! Tis and I fucked - well, skinny dipped, but you catch my drift.” Jade said.

Jade let out a surprising laugh. Not surprising in the sense that she never laughed. Jade always laughed, but more like Jade was a bit surprised that she hooked up with, of all people, Tis. Well, weirder things have happened. Case and point? Jay and SIerra. Of all the times that Jade had been the receiver of Jay’s complaining on why he couldn’t find the courage to talk to Sierra made her really sad for him because she wanted him to do something, but fear always set in. Well, apparently that was no longer the case. Jade left him alone for only thirty minutes tops, and suddenly they’re a couple now? Yeah, that’s a little more weird than Jade and Tis hooking up.

Sierra looked up at Jason, giving him a smile before looking back at Jade. “Yeah, you can say that.” she replied with a small laugh in response to Jade’s comment about asking her if she’d been having fun. The truth of the matter was that yes, Sierra had been having a great time being all vanilla with Jay, as bizarre as that might look and sound to everyone kno knew her. At Jade’s confession about getting it on with Tis, Sierra’s red-rimmed eyes widened. “You’re shitting me?! You got frisky with Atlantis Strang?! Dude, we made fun of how she can’t speak like a normal person all the time. How the fuck did that happen?”

Turns out when that surfer babe gets a good buzz going on, she talks like you and I do. And, well usually, when someone gets frisky, it involves some touching, but of course, I don’t need to tell you that, now do I?” As per usual, Jade winked at Sierra. “On a completely different note,” Jade let the topic not-so-subtly change, “I think Jar still has the hots for me.” Jade said nonchalantly as she stared at the water, watching the waves push against the shore a few times.

Ah, Jareth. At the mention of his name, Sierra visibly cringed, her mood dampened a little. The painful memories of his rejection and seeing them together afterwards all came back, flooding her brain. She hadn’t told Jade about her little fling with Jar, so there was no way she could know about how she was feeling at the moment. Well, in all honesty no one except the two of them -Jar and Sierra- and Rhett (because, duh, he’s her best friend and she tells him everything) knew about it.

But Sierra would be damned if she allowed this night to go to waste over the mention of someone who had hurt her. Best try and change the subject before it could even fully start. “Ugh, can we please not talk about him?” Sierra told Jade, imitating her nonchalant tone.

Eh, fine, it’s your call.“ Jade shrugged, “just figured you would like to know that, even after all the weeks that had passed, I still got him under my spell.” Jade said with pride, as if she’s happy with how Jareth may or may not be still into her. She was confident that he was, but she would have to play with that specific toy a little more to be certain of that. In the meantime, Jade was growing bored of this party. “In either case, this party is starting to die down after that little scruff between The Bromance.” Jade noted, talking about the fight between JAckson and Rhett. Speaking of that, Jade hadn’t seen JAckson around since then. She lost sight of him when she was speaking with Jareth, so he could be god-knows-where. “So, either of you seen Jackson?” she asked.

]Not me, no. At least, not since he was following some dark-haired girl.” Jay recalled, but that was several minutes ago.

Dark haired woman?” Jade had a bad feeling about that. “Fuck, so that means—” Jade knew exactly what that meant. Jackson had gone after Eve. “Well, I guess there goes my ride. And he has the fucking keys. That asshole.” Jade said annoyingly. “I guess that means we’re carpooling with Sierra here.” Jade said, shrugging. It was what it was. There wasn’t no use complaining about the situation. All she could do was accept it, and hang with these two until they were done sucking face.

So should we go right now?” Jay asked, looking at Sierra and Jade.
That’s up to your girlfriend.
She’s not--I mean, we’re not--
Right, I get it. You don’t like labels. Just enjoy it for what it is.” Jade laughed, winking at the now red-as-a-tomato Jay.

In her current state, Sierra was only half-listening to Jade, so the mention of The Bromance didn’t have any effect on her whatsoever. The teasing exchange between them also went unnoticed by her, up until Jade made the comment of the cousins carpooling home with her and Jay asked if they should go.

“Sure, you guys can ride with me. But on one condition,” she said, her eyes lighting up with a playful twinkle in Jade’s direction. You drive yourself home while Jay and I ride in the backseat, then I drive him to his place. Sierra turned to Jay with a smile, and briefly kissed his lips. “But do we really have to leave now? I wanna enjoy your company a little bit longer.”

Are you talking to me or Jay?” Jade asked, giving Sierra a half-amused smile.
Sierra snuggled further into Jay’s arms, looking for warmth, in response to a particular chilly breeze that had made her a little cold. “Jay, of course.”
Of course you are. It’s not like you stated a name or anything like that, because you were totally specific.” Jade sarcastically chided Sierra.
Sierra rolled her eyes good-naturedly at Jade. “I was looking at Jason when I said that, so wasn’t that enough to know I was talking to him?”
Do I look like I have eyes on the side of my head? How was I supposed to know you were looking at Jay?
“Bitch, I didn’t even know you weren’t looking at me.”

Jade shook her head. She realized that this was going nowhere. The more time she and Sierra went back and forth the less time she would be able to spend in her own bed. After a long night of fucking and having her fun with her Emo Toy, Jade was more than ready to go home, and sleep off the party in her bed. “Whichever the case was, yes we should go. As much as I know Jay loves this, you don’t know how his father gets. Uncle Girisha is kind of a hard ass when it comes to Jay’s curfew.

Oh, well about that..
What?
Dad said I could stay out as late as I can. He even implied that, if something good were to happen, I shouldn’t come home until morning.

You’re shitting me.” Safe to say that Jade was a bit speechless right now. “Uncle Girisha said this? Well, I guess I know where you’re spending the night at.” Jade said, her eyes directly at Sierra. Her head slightly jolted towards Jay multiple times, but she did it subtly so that Jay wouldn’t pick up on it.

Sierra could relate to parents being hardasses. Back in the day her mother was like that, but when she realized Sierra had basically stopped caring she gave up. Sonya would still nag endlessly at her daughter after nights out like this one, but that was more of a way to let out her frustrations then out of genuine concern. Hell, Si was sure that if something ever happened to her it would be up to Shawn to help her out, because her mother would probably just stay at home being like ‘I told you so’. Bottom line: Sierra had an idea of what Jay was going through.

What really made Sierra’s night was when Jason said that if something good happened he wouldn’t go home until morning. Him being with her counted as something good that happened, right? Her dirty mind was soon swimming with ideas of what they could do, even before Jade’s gestures, to which she replied with a knowing smirk. Yes, having Jason stay at her place would be the perfect end for this night. But the question was: would he be willing to accept the offer?

Sierra turned her head in his direction again, her eyes full of anticipation. “You’re more than welcome to stay at my place,” she told Jay. “There’s plenty of room for you in my queen-sized bed.”

As Jay pondered the offer, he wasn’t sure what to say to it. Or if he was going to say anything at all. He started to feel a bit heavy in his heart. He was feeling hot, and not in the way most would think he would. Maybe it was the idea that had entered his mind that he could not only get to be in Sierra’s house, but be in her bedroom? It was all a little much for him in all honesty.

And Jade noticed that. “Hey, don’t feel compelled to accept it. You two just started..whatever it is that you two are. There will be plenty of time for...that.” Jade said, putting a reassuring hand on Jay’s shoulder. She smiled at him.

Rarely did Jade sound sincere, but Jay was like her little brother that she looked out for. So it was no surprise that she would try to look out for him the best that she knew how. If he was feeling pressured into accepting the offer that Sierra had presented to him simply because it was some dream of his coming true or something like that, then she would remind him that he didn’t have to accept. It wasn’t like there wouldn’t be other opportunities like this.

I’m, uh,” Jay took a deep breath, “I mean, would your folks even allow me to stay the night?” Jay asked Sierra as he looked at her.

Sierra hesitated for a minute. The truth of the matter was that no, her folks would never allow a guy to spend the night in Sierra’s room. But lucky for her, this night wasn’t like the rest. “Lucky for you, I don’t need to ask them. I have the house all to myself this weekend. Mom and stepdad are actually out of town. They called it ‘romantic getaway’ or something.” she said, shaking her head at the unwelcome thought of Shawn calling anything involving her mother romantic. Having also sensed his hesitation earlier, she quickly added, “But I mean if you’d rather not stay and do something else instead I have no problem with that.” In normal circumstances Sierra would be furious at Jason even hesitating to take her offer (you all saw how raging she got when he rejected he was checking her out, so imagine how she would be if he declined this), but in her current state she just let things go with the flow. If he chose not to stay they could do something else.

It’s not that, I just..” Oh great, Jay was finally back to his stuttering, nervous self. “I mean, it’s not that I don’t want to because I really do.” Jay was all over the place here. “Maybe I’m just--I don’t know...” Jay didn’t know what he wanted to do. He was more conflicted than ever.

“Tell you what. How does grabbing a bite at the nearby diner sound to you right now? Because I could use myself a huge late-night breakfast dish.” Yep, the munchies were all in full swing now, and Sierra was betting that she could eat not one, but a few of those breakfast dishes. Plus that would give Jay some time to make a decision.

That’s fine. I am getting kind of hungry.” Jay said. Now that he was thinking about it, he was ignoring his grumbling stomach for the past five minutes.
Me too!” Jade chimed in, “I think I remember seeing a Denny’s a little down the main road.” Jade recalled.

Denny’s was the magic word. When the word reached Sierra’s ears, she immediately shoot up from her seat in front of Jason. “Dude, YES! One of their American Grand Slams sounds amazing right about now. Let’s get going, then!” She took one of Jason’s hands, helped the guy up and dragged him along with her as they stumbled, swayed but eventually made it to her car: a 2005 army-green Jeep Liberty that had belonged to her father, who had purchased it just a year before he died. She unlocked the doors, climbed into the jeep’s backseat and waited for Jade to take her seat at the front before handing her the keys and settling down with her head on Jason’s lap.

“Right, let’s see what this bad-boy can do!” Jade said rather excited. She turned the keys in the ignition, and the engine purred like a mountain lion. Jade waited until Jason and Sierra were strapped up(or whatever they called already kissing with their seatbelts on), and drove off into the not-so-sunset(since it was dark and shit). It didn’t matter. They were off in Sierra’s Jeep with Jade driving, her bag full of party favors in the passenger seat. Next stop? Denny’s!

LOCATION — Parking Lot, Alyssa's Mercedes Benz

INTERACTIONS — Each other
(@lovely complex, @Universorum)

TIME — Explain yourself.

The rest of the walk in the woods consisted of Evelyn laughing to herself about what had transpired moments ago and her thinking of ways to calm Alyssa down for not arriving on time. She wasn’t too worried but she knew her darling childhood friend would not be pleased. Actually, the true sovereign of Beverly Hills High would be infuriated since she hated waiting. Those who knew Eve, knew that she was never late. Today being a rare exception. In Alyssa’s case, it didn’t matter if you had a perfect record, late was late. She didn’t tolerate tardiness.

Kind of hot, don’t you think?

Approaching the black Mercedes Benz, Butler was already waiting for Eve with the back door open so that she could join her blonde and explain herself. Scooting in and hearing the door close behind her, a stoic expression on, the songstress let her hazel orbs meet with the strong, green gaze of her friend’s. Before either of them said a word, Eve leaned over and pulled a strawberry out of the tray and brought it to the Matriarch's lips. Her stare never turned away from one of the few people that slithered their way into her cold heart. Alyssa had her undivided attention.

At least Eve was trying to diminish Alyssa’s annoyance. It wasn’t working. But, she was trying. Alyssa couldn’t fault her for that, and she reluctantly accepted the succulent fruit held up to her lips. The peace was short lived though, as Alyssa’s green eyes hardened and took a certain icy look to them. In the front seat, Butler turned to look at his charge and Alyssa’s lady friend. ”Miss Green, are you ready to leave?” In response, Alyssa raised her hand, holding up one finger, as she turned her attention back to Evelyn Harding.

”What took you so long? If your answer is anything less than you ran into the Pope, the President, or the Dalai Lama… it is not good enough. I will not tolerate lateness, especially from someone I’ve come to expect so much from. You’ve disappointed me, Ms. Harding. Alyssa’s voice was sharp, and every word dripped with acid. She was pissed.

Yeah, it was kind of hot.

A smirk fell on Evelyn’s pale face as Alyssa fumed with impatience and anger. Oh, disappointed? How horrid. She’d be forgiven. She knew she would. Plus, the raven would be lying if she didn’t like this side of her queen. After Alyssa finished the juicy fruit, Eve licked the lingering flavor off her fingers before responding, “Just protecting our honor, my sweets.” Not saying anything more, her hazel orbs silently examined the blonde’s expression, waiting for her to inquire further - or not. Alyssa could kick her out the car if she wanted, Eve wouldn’t fight back nor did she care. Deep down, she knew that even if Ms. Green was not happy, she still had her way. Eve was here. That’s what she wanted, right? In the end, she still got what she wanted.

Alyssa scoffed. Protecting their honor? What did that even mean? ”And how, pray tell… were you doing that?” Alyssa sipped at the amber liquid in her glass, swishing the alcohol around in her mouth before she swallowed it. ”The bloody Elite are back, those filthy scumbags. They took Rhett from me, no doubt, to poison him with their ideals. Won’t be very hard, either, they’re kind of what every little boy wants to be when they grow up. But that isn’t the worst part of it. Fucking Bartimaeus is back, which means he’s going to be at the castle. And you weren’t here to support me, god knows where Audrey slipped off to--she’s been weird lately.” Alyssa huffed, making a face.

”I am frustrated.”

I can tell.” Eve made herself a glass of whiskey, before leaning comfortably back and crossing her legs, “Won’t be hard because he lost his best friend.” She took a brief moment to drink her addiction, her world having been numbed a long time ago, before adding, “We’ve only known Rhett for… a week, right?” The raven didn’t expect Alyssa to answer. Silence was okay in her book.

Resting her glass on her leg, she softly chuckled, “Looks like we’re to blame for Jackson Drake’s loss. Not the fact that he kissed little, Summer Aspen, not because Rhett is simply better than him. No. It’s because of us, that he no longer has a friend.

Turning her head toward Alyssa, Eve let her other hand rest on the rim of her glass, as she commented, “Look who’s missed me. I’ve missed you too.” she stuck her tongue out at her friend, choosing to not bring up Audrey’s ‘weirdness’, but to tease instead.

”Jackson Drake is the reason for your lateness, huh? I’ll have him drawn and bloody quartered. No one denies me my pet.” Alyssa hissed bitterly, staring down into her glass for a few seconds before she snapped her fingers. The car shifted into gear, and they started along their journey back to the Queen’s castle, as Alyssa looked at Eve’s stuck out tongue, licking her lips slowly. ”You missed me, huh? ....Prove it, Evelyn.”

LOCATION — The Party → The Open Road

INTERACTIONS — Rhett, Ender, Julie, Ty, & Wolfe

Time — You two make me sick

”Ty you fucking retard, stop sucking her face off, we got business to attend to!”

Wolfe’s bark got Ty to--reluctantly--pull away from Julia, turning around to look at his friends with an incredulous look on his face. ”Yo, are you serious? B and I haven’t talked in like a week because we were on a break, I finally get my hands on her butt--” for emphasis, Ty took a moment to squeeze Julia’s rear in his hands, ”--and ya’all gonna come here and ruin my shit like that? What kinda friends are ya’all!? The shit kind that’s what kind. Hold on, baby, daddy’s gotta go to work.” Ty kiss Julia again quickly and shook his head as he stomped across the beach toward Wolfe, Rhett and Ender. ”The fuck you guys want!?”

Wolfe made a face, then looked over at Rhett. ”Hey, Rhett. You ever driven a two point five million dollar car?”

A lot of things happened tonight and during the time they were searching and making their way to Ty and his girl. Rhett was going to help Isabel up when she fell but… she looked like she didn’t want to be touched. He wasn’t gonna lie, what she said to Wolfe was pretty hilarious. That being said, her being incredibly short where tall men can’t see her was not, so laughing didn’t seem like the right thing to do. But Wolfe didn’t care. As soon as they came, his sister took her leave with Dominique and Isabel (okay, bye then…), and Ty took hold of Juliana and made out with her like it was nobody’s business. Bringing his attention to Sentinel, Rhett brushed the sand off his fitted cap before answering, “You’re funny, man. I’d be lucky to even touch a car like that.

”Do you want to?”

”He ain’t drivin’ my car.”

”Yes he is.”

”...okay, fine.”

Scurrying to her tiger, Juliana gestured for Ty to bring his ear close to her so she could whisper something to him. He slowly leaned in (since he was 6’4 ½ and Julie was 4’11). When his ear reached her lips, she teasingly bit it and giggled, “When’s daddy gonna’ spank me.

”Aight, let’s get the fuck up outta here this party blows anyway.” Ty said almost immediately once Julia’s words had seeped into his ears. Reaching into his pocket, he with drew the keys to his car (a 2017 Bugatti Chiron) and tossed them to Rhett. ”Hope you can drive a manual. Not a stick though, it’s got paddle shifters. And don’t get my steering wheel greasy.”

”..what’d she say?” Wolfe asked cautiously, suspiciously eyeing Ty, as Ender placed a hand on his brother-in-arms’s shoulder.

”Let sleeping dogs lie. We don’t really want to know.”

”...you’re right.”

”Usually am.”

With the keys in his right hand, Rhett stared down at them and then up at Ty. Were they really allowing him to drive a fancy-you-better-not-crash-it sports car? His blue gaze did express a slight bewilderment, but he brushed it off and accepted their kindness, “Yeah, cool. I’ve driven a pickup before, if that counts.

Glancing over at the only female in a pack of wolves, Rhett watched as Juliana possessively grabbed onto her boyfriend’s arm and pulled him toward the woods (which would lead to his car), “So much precious time being wasted, Tiger.

I guess that’s our cue to leave.” Rex chuckled to himself and trailed behind the lovebirds, walking beside Sentinel and Ender.

Acceleration. Eyes focused on the long, narrowed road ahead of him, with curves, swift turns, and the moonlight as their main guide. Rhett had never felt this… free in his entire life. Waiting in the back of his mind were thoughts like the loss of a best friend, someone he thought he would have in his life forever, the disgust he felt that his other best friend made out with a coward, she deserved better, and the constant worry that he will fail his father and not be the man his mom and sisters need. He didn’t want to think about any of that. Not about Jackson. Sierra. Summer. Miley. Mom…. dad.

The song that was blaring was Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz.

I wish that I could fly
into the sky

Leaning over the center console, Wolfe looked at the speedometer, tapping it with his finger. ”It goes faster. The road is wide open. Nobody but us. See what it can do.” He suggested, shifting slightly in his seat as he reached out to the volume control, turning it up the last two ticks. Noting a sudden amount of steam fogging up the windows (Julia’s fault, no doubt), Wolfe took it upon himself to roll down the two windows to let the cool summer breeze flow into the car, before leaning back in his seat and closing his eyes, hands folded over his chest. ”It’s Ty’s car, so who cares if we get in trouble? Alyssa’s parents will cover it.”

Meanwhile, in the backseat, Ender wanted to die. Now, while Ender usually wanted to die, this time the emotion was in particular force. Why? Because right next to him, in a car that was rapidly getting close to cresting 100 mp/h, Juliana Espinoza and Bartimaeus Locke were doing what they did best: ruining his life. Yes, even in a moving car, Ty couldn’t keep his hands off of Julia, and the tiny girl was straddling his lap, already, as they sucked face like fucking newlyweds. Slowly, Ender leaned up to Rhett’s chair, tapping their new friend on the shoulder.

”Crash the car.”

After Wolfe had suggested to pick up the speed, which Rhett did so, because why not? Rex quickly glanced up at the rearview mirror to make sure no one was indeed on the road. His vision did catch sight of… the lovebirds too, doing what horny teens did best.

The PDA was real.

Bringing his attention back to the road, he tapped his right pointer finger on the steering wheel, mentally feeling bad for the lone wolf in the back… stuck sitting next to a borderline sex scene. “I want to live to talk about this experience, maybe, uh… tell them to stop?” Jeez, he didn’t know how to deal with this. If this was a room, he’d just up and leave, but no, this was a car and he was responsible for all their lives, even the ones making things uncomfortable. This did get him thinking about his love life, though. The last time he kissed a girl was with… man, that was awhile. Rhett, you need to get laid.

”Don’t be jealous, yo.” Ty said, briefly pushing the ever eager girlfriend of his away. ”Just cuz none of you can hold a girlfriend…” He shook his head in distaste and Wolfe cracked open an eye, looking over at Rhett.

”Keep going straight for about 40 more miles, then you’re gonna take a right. The road up to the castle is curvy as shit, but this thing handles alright. So drop it down to about 110, 90 if you’re not brave or confident. Own the road, it’s gonna be open. Weave in and out of the double yellow line. Remember, you own the universe right now, and nobody gonna tell you differently.”

Let’s go and see the stars
the milky way
or even mars

”Trust me. Plus, if you crash, we’re going too fast to feel anything. Fuck it, bro. Only way to live after a night like this one.” WIth that, Wolfe shut his eyes again.

Leaning forward, between the driver and passenger seat, her divine bottom being displayed for both Ty and Ender, Juliana happily encouraged the party’s host, “You’re doing awesome, Rhett! Go vroooooom, vrooooooooooooom. I like going fast!

Thanks, Juliana--

Call me Julie! Or Jules… or Juju… or whatever. Juliana is too formal.” Her stormy orbs glanced over at the man with his eyes closed, “Y’know, Wolfy, my sissy gonna’ be massively butthurt everytime she sees you.” While the gorgeous blonde made her twin a topic of discussion, Rhett followed Wolfe’s instruction and gingerly dropped the speed to 110. If there was one thing Rhett wasn’t, it was being a coward like fucking-coffee-guy. How many opportunities (and/or chances) does a guy like him, an average joe punk boy, have to ride a sports car and go as fast as he can? Not often. You best believe he will live for the night. He hasn’t felt this good in a long while. Nothing dragging him down, just a need for speed.

TIME — Time to get the hell out of dodge

As Jackson sat at the bar, pounding shot after shot of patron, he began to think about how everything since this day began was total and utter shit. Everything from when he woke up to when he made the decision to pick up Summer, and bring her to the party. He might feel some type of way for her, but it didn’t change things that because he ignored Bro Code, and went with where his heart(or dick in this case) led him, he lost his best friend. Not only that, but he made matters worse for himself when he went to go follow Eve, and air his grievances to her. After all of that, he was left with nothing. No best friend. No Summer beside him. No one checking to see if he was doing okay or not. There was no one. The only person that seemed to give a crap about him right now was good old Patron. Whenever he was down and out, Jackson Drake knew he could count on his Mexican buddy.

Might as well as indulge, right old buddy?” Jackson raised his shot glass, and downed the fifth shot in three minutes. Jackson felt that was enough. Not because he didn’t want to keep drinking, but simply because he was ready to leave this dump of a party.

The blonde teen got up from his seat, but he lost his footing, and fell face-first to the sand. He struggled to get back up, but after a few tries [of falling face-first again], Jackson finally got to his feet. In slow steps, Jackson Drake made his way through the only path that led to where everyone’s cars were parked: a trek through the woods. So, pretty much Jackson was going back the way he came when he was talking to Eve. Wonderful.

The trek took a little longer than usual. Honestly, Jackson didn’t get to his father’s car for what seemed like forever. He didn’t bother looking at his phone. He didn’t bother doing anything aside from getting inside the 2005 Black Ford Mustang. As he got into the driver’s seat, JAckson sat there for a few moments, struggling to get the keys into the ignition. On some level Jackson knew that he shouldn’t be driving. Hell, maybe if he hadn’t pounded those last shots, he would be aware enough of his own state of how drunk he was, and that he was in no shape to drive. But, seeing as how he was in a give-no-fucks state of mind, Jackson was going to drive.

Finally!” Jackson said.

The keys were finally in the ignition. He turned them, and the engine of his father’s Mustang revved up loudly. It did not know about its driver’s condition. It only knew that rubber was about to flare as Jackson pealed out of the parking lot as soon as it had alerted anyone who was also getting into their respective vehicle. It wasn’t long until Jackson was out of the parking lot, He had hit the open road as the mustang went from 0-60 in less than seven second, a trail of smoke following him.

JAckson was surprisingly keeping it steady at the speed he was going. Five minutes he had been driving, and so far so good. Even with his injuries, Jackson was still able to maintain focus on the road. Though, that wouldn’t last long as he turned on the radio. He didn’t have a feeling for any specific station, so he just left it on the one that it was last on. Just his luck that it was on a station that Jackson and Rhett both loved to death. If that wasn’t enough, but the one song that both of them loved above all was playing. It had just started.

You’re kidding me?! Fucking hells!” Jackson raged.

Of all songs that could have been playing, it had to be The Blowjob Song by Blink-182. What kind of twisted, ironic sense of humor did fate have tonight? First it tested Jackson’s loyalties by tempting him with Summer, to which he failed. Then a fight of words with both Rex and Eve. Again, he lost both of those fights. Now, it was trying to pour salt to the wound. Seriously, what kind of shit night was this? It was like Jackson was meant to laugh a this whole thing with a sorrow, rage-filled laugh.

He didn’t know what he was supposed to feel right now. Maybe both? Who knew? Jackson sure didn’t. Only thing he knew was that this night was going to get worse before it was going to get better. Oh well. Jackson was going to ride it out.

Jackson sang along to the song that had just came on, and he found himself feeling all sorts of emotions. He was laughing because it was a fucking song about blowjobs in general, but he also found himself crying manly tears because, well, it reminded him of how much life sucked for him right now. He had such high hopes for this night, and now it was fucked because of what he did. This song wasn’t doing anything to help him. And thus we arrive at the reason why Jackson was starting to get livid.

Yeah he’s all over the place tonight.

The song was over, but the emotions remained. More to the point, Jackson felt like he had to do something now. So, he reached for his phone. When he did, he swerved. Jackson caught that, and he made sure the car was back to going straight. He had his phone in his hand. He knew what he was going to do. But, as he went through his phone, Jackson’s eyes weren’t solely fixated on the road. Considering how dark it was tonight, he needed to focus. It didn’t help that Jackson’s vision was blurry because of the amount of alcohol in his system. He was also physically fatigued. Yup, not a good combination at all.

Alright, there it is.” Jackson said. He found the contact he was searching for. He pressed the green phone icon. It started ringing. Jackson waited and waited and waited. He didn’t get an answer. He thought he did when he heard the voice of the contact, but it was a voicemail. Jackson would leave a message regardless. He said:

Hey, I know you probably don’t want to hear from me. Hell, I know that after tonight, there isn’t going to be any chance of anything happening further between us. I know that now. I don’t even know why I’m leaving you this message, but just know I’ll do everything I can to fix it. I don’t care what I have to do. You mean so much to me. I won’t give up on--

And suddenly there was complete silence. Jackson was cut off. He looked around, and everything was spinning. Why was everything spinning? More to the point, why did Jackson see the road from an above angle? “What?” JAckson was disarrayed. Before he could ask anymore questions, it all became clear to him. Too bad it was too late because the mustang had came crashing down as it smashed on the side of teh road roof-first, with Jackson’s neck whiplashing. As a result, the blonde teen lost his consciousness, his phone still in hand.

Amid all of what was happening, whoever the message was for would have heard all of the commotion going on in the background.

And end call. Now there was silence.

Nothing but bloody silence.

LOCATIONMy Castle, My Pool

INTERACTIONSAlyssa, Eve. Rhett, ♥ Tiger ♥ , Myself, Ender, Wolfe
(@lovely complex, @Universorum)

TIME — I need a drink.

Why her house?

Why did they always come to her house?

Connor had a pool, why couldn’t they go there and ruin his life? Why hers? Why did the stupid Elite and Ty’s stupid girlfriend always have to show up at her house?! Especially on a night when Eve was there and things were going so well for them. But noooo, Wolfe had brought his friends (and without Connor around, the Elite were Wolfe’s), to her castle and her pool.

Granted, it was a pretty nice pool. Heated. An actual bar inside of it. A water slide. A hot tub attached to it. A diving board. It was a wonderful pool, but dammit, it was Alyssa’s, not theirs!

”If you idiots jump into the pool off of the roof I swear on my life that I will end you! I know where you sleep, Ty, don’t you dare! How did you fuckers even get up there?! UGH.” Alyssa screamed from the pool side, staring up at Rhett and Ty, who were standing precariously on the roof of the castle, getting ready to leap down into the pool. ”I swear to god, you will wish you were dead! In a furious huff, Alyssa turned to look at Eve, nearly shaking with rage. ”Treating my home like a hotel room to be trashed! The nerve! And fraternizing with the enemy!? Bringing her here!?”

”Aight, Rhett. On three, we jumpin’ off this bitch.”

Alyssa was a feisty one, that’s for sure. Strolling closer to her, Eve gently slid her hands on her friend’s hips and brought her stare toward Juliana, who was kicking her feet in the water and clapping her hands in excitement, “Do you really think it’s such a bad idea?” She brought her attention back to her darling Lyssa, locking her hazel orbs with her green, and smiling, “To have the… genuine twin here, I mean.” Genine was a simple way of saying, Juliana was gullible, too sweet for her own good, the more approachable one of her ‘group’, and the one who had a lot more influence than she realized. The perfect one to have at Alyssa’s castle.

Pulling her lover closer, the songstress whispered, “If those fuckers die, less for you to worry about. The mess wouldn’t be hard to clean up.” If only Juliana cared to pay attention to anyone but Ty, Eve wondered how she would react with seeing Alyssa and her being intimate together. Not caring about anyone looking, the raven placed her succulent lips on her queen’s whiskey-flavored mouth before chuckling, “Your bedroom must be lonely.

Alyssa scowled, despite the kiss she’d received from Evelyn. In all fairness, the Elite (especially Ty) had a superpower to just really piss Alyssa off, constantly. ”You know what else is lonely? The bloody dungeon, which is where I’m going to put him if he doesn’t bounce his skull off the ledge of the pool and die on impact. God, I hate him. Why did my parents bring him here!? She said, her voice nearly a hiss before she breathed slowly, carefully. She’d made eye contact with Butler, who seemed disappointed in her, something that was worse than anything Ty could do to upset her.

Once Alyssa had regained her composure, she finally turned her head to look at Juliana and shrugged her once-more regal shoulders. ”Perhaps we can find some use for her. If Dominique wants to return and turn this into a chess game, then I might as well use all the advantages dropped in my lap, hm?”

Before Eve could respond to Alyssa, Rhett yelled, “THIS IS HELLA’ MONEY!” And a subtle vein could be seen on the Raven’s forehead. If she was being honest, she too could not tolerate stupidity, which is why she wanted to go inside, away from dumb and dumber. Rex excitably turned to Ty and then down at the water, far, far, far down, “The last time I did something this sick was at Shaw’s Cove. Haven’t been there in a minute.

TIGERRRRRR! Don’t keep me waiting for too long.” Julie ran her fingers through her long, blonde hair, as she gave her boyfriend that kittenish stare. They needed to continue where they left off. The petite Espinoza did not like unfinished business.

Letting go of Alyssa, the frustration no longer being hid from her face, Eve offered, “Want a drink? Sure you do. I’m going to get us something to drink.” Giving her sovereign a wink, Eve dismissed herself and went to the bar. Not enough alcohol in the world to deal with some people… or most people.

Alyssa shot Ty and Rhett one final glare, watching as the toy boys tapped their fists together, before she gave up (a rare showing, from the normally relentless girl), and spun around on her heel to chase after her lover. The boys could sink or swim on their own--hopefully the former.

Meanwhile, on top of her roof, about twenty-five feet from the water in the pool, Ty looked over at Rhett. ”Aight, yo, balls to the wall. Here we go. One. Two. THREE!” Ty shouted, then ran toward the edge of the roof, launching himself off of it and toward the pool, careening through the air as Ender and Wolfe, sitting on the ledge of the jacuzzi, watched in mild amusement.

”Ty’s gonna get himself killed one of these days…”

”If only we could be so lucky. But, we’re not. Have you seen the stupid shit Ty does and never gets hurt doing? Kid’s playing on godmode. The rest of us are living in the past.”

Rex didn’t bother matching his speed with his new bro-for-life (ideally). Rather than just launch himself off the roof, he backed up for more running space and gave himself momentum. Once he reached the ledge (which mind you, he timed himself pretty quickly so he wasn’t too far behind of Ty), he did a side flip off the ledge and turned his body midair so that he was going in the direction he desired. All his movements were fast, but it was obvious he had experience in risky stunts before. On a patio chair laid Rhett's plaid shirt, fitted cap, socks, sneakers, and phone. His phone, covered by clothes, lit up and silently vibrated...

”Well, luck is out of the air I guess. He didn’t crack his head on the ledge. Cheers.” Wolfe muttered, raising his glass to Ender, before he tipped the alcohol back and drank what was in it. ”Wanna make a bet on whether or not he raw dogs Julia and we have to deal with a mini-Ty?”

”...sure, I got twenty bucks saying he does.”

”You’re on.”

Featuring: Batman, Catwoman, and the Dynamic Cupcake Duo of Sprinkles & Frosting
Location: The Power’s Residence

(@lovely complex @Universorum)

Davy, his hand still full with the cheesecake and the silverware, led Ely through the halls of his house, and eventually he paused in front of the wall, before looking over at her, then back at the wall, then back at Ely, then at the wall again. Finally, he sighed. ”Don’t laugh.” He said firmly before he looked back at the wall and cleared his throat. ”Yippie ki yay, motherfucker.” As if on cue, the wall slid about a half an inch down before it sank into the ground, revealing a staircase that led down to a cement tunnel.

”Come on, Catwoman, let’s go to the batcave…” Davy sighed before he started to walk down the staircase, bumping a switch with his shoulder and kicking on fluorescent lights that showed the tunnel seeming to stretch almost one hundred feet before there was a wooden door, painted black.

Of course, Ely wanted to laugh but she hated her laugh. It worked in both of their favors that she would not laugh as he voice activated the wall to slide open (making a movie reference if she wasn’t mistaken). Fancy. A grin was plastered on her face when he called her Catwoman and she couldn’t help but give him a seductive purrrrrrrr now that his parents weren’t around, “Meow.” Yeah. Tonight was going to be fun. Her attention was drawn to her surroundings. Pushing all jokes aside, she commented, “This is pretty neat.

Davy froze as she purred at him, looking back at her with a crazy look in his eye as the door slid up behind them, closing them off in their own secret world. ”W-what? Don’t p-purr at me! You’re in my secret spot, at least be kind of respectful… and don’t go telling nobody about what you see down here! It’s all I got…” He muttered, shaking himself before leading her to the door at the end of the hall and opening it. Once inside his own room, he tossed the cheesecake onto the desk and scooped Sprinkles up, setting the quacking duck inside his home and onto the back of their mutual friend: Frosting the turtle. ”Welcome to the Batcave. Bathroom is behind that door, the minifridge has snacks and Caprisuns in it. I only watch animated movies to go to sleep,” Davy said simply before flopping down on one of the beanbags. ”There’s pretty fluffy towels in the bathroom so yeah.”

Don’t be rude, Davy. You haven’t introduced me to your other pet.” Ely crossed her arms like a stern mother would, waiting for him to get his ass back up and show her his turtle. “I ain’t showering until you do so, also don’t act like you didn’t like it.” She paused and locked her green eyes with his stare, “You didn’t have to call me Catwoman.” If Ely said she wasn’t enjoying herself, she would be lying. This was fucking great.

Davy stared at her dumbly from the beanbag with a half open mouth. ”What? But you smell like drunken hobos. And my room is clean.” Davy sighed and stood up to his feet, brushing himself off and walking over to the cage as he reached down and gently nudged the duck to get off of the turtle’s back before he grabbed either side of Frosting’s shell and lifted him up, holding him out at Ely. ”This is Frosting. He’s a tortoise.” Frosting the turtle moved his tiny limbs in a gesture so slow it could almost be called a wave.

Like she had did earlier with Sprinkles, Ely gently touched the shell of Frosting. She’s never had a pet before so this was all new for her. There was apparent caution in her movement, which reflected her skill in handling animals: zero. Curious, the petite blonde, her gaze lingering on the turtle’s expression, asked the boy, “Why’d you name them that? Frosting and Sprinkles, I mean. It’s really cute, I’m just not use to a guy…” She cut her words short, not wanting to offend him because she thought the names were something a girl would give.

David stared at her as she asked about the names, wondering how best to explain this. Per his lack of experience in the department of interacting with women, he chose the ‘blunt’ route: ”Sprinkles I picked because I was high and I really liked Sprinkles and he kind of reminded me how happy Sprinkles makes me feel and Frosting because at a later date I was equally or more high and thought it’d be amazing if he had a sidekick named Frosting, cuz like… sprinkles… needs… frosting? I don’t know, Ely, I was high when I thought of this.”

Nodding and loving his honesty, Ely brought her hand to her side and chuckled, “Seems legit.” Like Jar had said earlier, Elysia Fable was not like most girls. Part of the reason for that was due to the fact that girls were stressful as fuck. She didn’t want to be categorized with the lot. They’re far more complicated, herself included. Hell, Jade was enough woman for Ely to deal with...almost everyday. She let silence fill his domain as she unintentionally (or was it intentional?) gave him an enticing stare, even biting her lip, before she brought her hands to her shirt and pulled it off, along with her jacket, “I guess it’s shower time for me, huh? Your mom said I can borrow your top, Batman.

Davy stared at her stupidly as she took her shirt off, slowly holding Frosting in front of his face so that he didn’t get an eyeful of something he didn’t need to be seeing. ”Just, uh, g-grab one out of my d-dressed, I mean dr-dresser, then. Second drawer on the right. And put some clothes on! Don’t you have a sense of, uh, decency!?” Davy groaned from behind the turtle, holding it in front of his eyes.

Absolutely not. I’ve streaked before, AND I take pride in my bony ass body.” Leaving her shirt and jacket on the floor, her bra made of black lace, she casually sauntered to his dresser, pulled a drawer open and grabbed a random shirt. “Alright, I’ll see you in a bit, lover boy.” Taking her back pack with her, his mother’s shorts, and his shirt, she strolled into the bathroom.

This girl was gonna be the death of him. First she followed him home, then she got his mom and dad making fun of him, then she showered in his bathroom, then she took her top off, who knows what she would do next? Davy had to remember to text Jar and thoroughly complain about this issue. This sucked. He sat Frosting back down into his home and flopped onto the beanbag. ”I kinda want her to go. ...but I kinda want her to stay. This must be the sucky part of life…”

Man, his shirt was huge on her. Staring in the mirror, having finished drying her hair (sorta) with a towel, Ely held the ends of his shirt (you couldn’t even see his mother’s shorts), “You’re so goddamn short, Ely.” she quietly growled to herself. Leaning in closer, she looked at her bloodshot eyes, dark circles, and half of her face bruised, “One day, you’re gonna get yourself killed.” Davy’s mother was kind to tell her to be careful but Ely believed she was a hazardous existence - being careful was not an option. There wasn’t much hope for her getting passed the age of 25. Hell, she’d be lucky if she made it to college. Perhaps this was the lack of sleep or she truly did believe her life was meaningless, but this was neither the time or place to enter the darkness of her mind. Opening the pouch of her bag, she took her prescription sleeping pills out and swallowed a couple. The only reason why she sees her therapist once in a blue moon is to get her drugs. These weren’t even the only kind of meds he’s put her on. Blah, blah, blah you’re depressed and taking it out on the world. She felt safe enough in this house to pass the fuck out within the next hour. Normally, she would put her pills back in her bag, but the sleep deprived blonde simply placed it by the faucet and left the bathroom. Silently exiting, she placed her bag down somewhere and took out her camera. Making sure he wasn’t looking, she turned it on and prepared to take a picture of him, “Heyyyyy Airhead.” she called out to him, waiting to snap the photo.

Davy rolled around on the bag to face Ely, frowning suddenly when he saw the camera. ”Didn’t you see the invisible signs? No flash photography!” He huffed, but ultimately allowed his picture to be taken before he rolled back over, this time staring at the ceiling. ”Why’d you follow me? Seriously, why. I’m not that interesting, and there was like a whole party filled with interesting people. Loud people. Rhett. Rhett’s loud.” Davy asked, adding his explained reasoning on to the end. He continued to stare up at the plain white ceiling without looking at her, folding his hands together on his chest. ”...just, why?”

Staring at the photo of him, with a soft tenderness in her eyes, since photography was her passion after all, Ely shrugged, “It’s not interesting if you’re use to it, And I don’t know.” Her words were honest and straight to the point, “I don’t really think about my actions, I kinda just do. Your friends with my friends, yet we haven’t hanged yet. Plus.” She paused and took an instant to take a picture of herself making a fish face in his batcave, her eyes wide open (absolutely ‘stunning’). Bringing her camera down, she turned to him, her blonde hair in a ponytail, strands falling out gently against her face, and his shirt hella' huge on her, “You may not think you’re interesting, but I do.” Yawning widely, she put her camera away before dropping to the floor on her knees. Slowly, very slowly, Elysia crawled to him like a prowling tigress, “So what we gonna do?

Davy had to blink once, no twice as he stared at Ely as she… crawled toward him, staring at her with his mouth hanging slightly open. This wasn’t fair. Why was she wearing his favorite shirt? And… why wasn’t she… wearing a bra? Davy rolled over and buried his face into the beanbag before he spoke, “Ely, why aren’t you wearing undergarments!? I-I ca-can see yo-your, uh, uhm, uh, stuff,” David finally stuttered out, his voice slightly muffled by the beanbag. Jesus christ, this girl was doing unholy things to his mind and his body, which was now uncomfortably warm, and his mind was straying. “Well, I was going to play video games…”

Man, Davy.” Ely was now by his side, resting on her knees as she stared down at him like the wolf she was. “We seriously need to get you laid.” She didn’t necessarily mean by her, but if he wanted to she wouldn’t mind teaching him a thing or two. No strings attached. That being said, she wasn’t going to force the poor thing to have sex with her, nor did she care for sex that much. Eh, she probably wasn’t his type anyways - y'know, the crazy type. “Also.” She dragged her body closer to him, letting her thin fingers walk on his back, “Girls wearing wired bras to sleep is never a good idea.” Not giving him time to react she pushed herself off the ground and jumped on his body, sprawling herself on top of him - yeah, Ely was a child. She was extremely light and could easily be pushed off if that’s what he wanted. “Ohhh! What game? I bet I can kick your ass at it.

As she slid closer to him and spoke, Davy could only consciously note two things: one, her fingers tracing up his back, and two (possibly more important), a sudden fire rising to his cheeks. “I do not need to, get, uh- laid. And I’m not a horse, Ely!” He whined, but when she said she could kick his ass at video games, Davy was suddenly more offended than charged by unknown sexual feelings, and he spun around very suddenly, staring up at her. “Oh, bullshittt. All I do is play video games! You ain’t beating me.” Davy squinted up at her, though rather it was serious or for dramatic effect was up in the air.

“You’re poking a sleepin’ lion, girl.”

Bringing her face lower, her lips inches away from his, Ely whispered, “Is that a challenge?” Of course, she was hella' tired, so she may have to save this battle for tomorrow, which would involve in a wager, most definitely. Ely wasn’t someone who played something without the stakes being raised. There was silence between the two as her captivating green orbs captured his in a bewitching hold. Smiling, she brushed her nose against his, “We’ll play tomorrow, kid. I’m beat.” Rather than pull away from him, she simply put her body in a position where she rested in his arms (yes, manhandling him) and her leg wrapped around his, “I want to get to you know anyways.” She snuggled closer to Davy before asking, “Your dad said you could ride anything with wheels. Is there a reason why you like those things? Like the thrill?

What. Was. This. Girl? Davy didn’t understand anything she did, from challenging him, to declining the challenge, to the way she forced herself all snuggly into his arms. When he felt Ely’s nose brush against his, in a tantalizing nuzzle, Davy almost died--at the very least, he knew his cheeks flared right the fuck back to bright ass tomato red. Hearing her question, Davy considered his options: ignore it, lie, or answer truthfully. He reached to the ground, grabbing a discarded blanket and pulling it over them as he made his decision. She was drunk, right? She’d never remember. “I like to go fast like that because it makes me feel, uhm… safer, is the right word, I guess. People can’t catch me when I go that fast, or that hard, because they just… can’t keep up. I’m untouchable. It feels good, right. I went skydiving once and I’d die to do it again, or wingsuit flying. Either or. From up there, everyone looks like ants and they aren’t quite as scary.”

Mm. To be untouchable?” She closed her eyes as she felt a warm blanket be pulled on them, “My method would be to disappear altogether.” The petite blonde wasn’t registering her words at this point in time so her honesty had no filter. “Do you ever wish you could like… not exist?” Her tone was still the same, with no feelings behind it, while she entered a place in her mind she didn’t venture into often.

“No, go to sleep.”

No!” Ely growled. If she goes to sleep, she’ll go to sleep on her own terms.

“Calm down turbo.” Davy said, staring up at the ceiling as he thought about her question for a moment before he shook his head. “Nobody really wants to just disappear. That’d suck. I hate my life, but I keep doin’ it. You just have to stick with the things that make you happy. Like Sprinkles, ain’t that right little dude?” A quack sounded off from the cage as Davy clapped his hands together, turning the lights off in the room as he yawned widely. “You can stay up all you want. I’m going to sleep.”

By the time he had finished his response, Ely had already fallen asleep. Her breathing was light, her expression was peaceful, and her hold on him was like an anaconda. There was no escape. There was no response from the blonde, which could be interpreted that she was ignoring him but... if he listened carefully, he would be able to hear her faint snores.

Oh. Uhm, that was unexpected. Davy frowned into the darkness of the room and wondered what the right thing to do when a girl was asleep, in your arms, half drunk, and probably on some kind of drug was. Admittedly, he didn’t have much of an idea, so he did the only thing that came to mind and felt right in the moment. David slid his arms around Elysia, being careful not to place his hands too low, and pulled her close and tight to him before he leaned his head slightly forward, searching in the dark for the top of Ely’s head, which he eventually found nestled into the crook of his chest. He placed a gentle kiss on her head, spent half a moment wondering how he’d gotten to this point in his life, and then he closed his eyes and welcomed sleep.

Fuck it.

Featuring: Charlotte and Connor
Location: God knows where
@QueenOfTheBee @Universorum

As the music continued to rumble the ground underneath her, Charlotte remained dormant compared to the rest of the partygoers that were there. Especially compared to those group of frat-boys that dubbed themselves the “Elite”. They were just about guaranteed to be at this party, and Charlotte was feeling something that could be described as partially enthusiastic, but mostly afraid of what they had in store when it came to parties like this. Alcohol was everywhere, even the punch, as Charlotte could feel it burning in her throat as she took small sips. She couldn’t find any of her buddies, not even her softball teammate, Hana. For a party that she was invited to it was rather disheartening that nobody that she knew was around. Still though, the party was only getting started, at least for her.

Connor had split from the fold as they wandered toward the rest of the crowd. Nothing personal, just he was very drunk, and rather emotional as a result of his friends reappearing like they had. As a result of his state of mind, there was really only one possible option: more alcohol. Always more alcohol. So, he split from his Elite, and drifted toward the drinks, though once he got closer, he made out someone that he liked standing there. Charlotte. The, uh… ball… player. Couldn’t remember. Too much alcohol. Or, maybe not enough. Either way, Connor liked what she was wearing. Short shorts best shorts, or something to that effect. Connor stepped behind Charlotte and did the only thing that could bee expected of him: he grabbed her butt.

”Hi. I’m drunk. Wanna make out?” What? Connor would have done the same thing sober. Lowered inhibitions? As fucking if, Connor was just a horny teenager.

Charlotte had spaced out and was doing her best to tune out that 2009 “party music”. Whoever was DJing this party needed a few refreshers or too, she felt trapped in 2009 and that wasn’t good at all. Where were the current trap slappers? It was disappointing, but Charlotte had been to worse. She took another sip of the punch and she was slowly swaying along to the music. Now that she had a bit of alcohol in her system she figured that the party wasn’t so bad at all.

That was, until she felt a firm grip on her ass. She was expecting some fuckboy who had been trying to get at her since her first day of high school to have gripped her ass. Charlotte almost jumped at the chance to shut his ass down and deny his (most likely) very tiny penis some action. Charlotte slowly turned around, and instead saw the irrecognizable six foot six inch, two hundred and thirty five pound body of Connor. She was about to have a scowl on her face up until she locked gazes with Connor’s cute blue eyes.

”Connor…” Charlotte smirked, ”You think you can have your way with just about everyone, huh?” The basketball player was practically piercing through Connor’s eyes with that gaze of her’s. It was very intense. She put a hand on Connor’s chest and gave a light shove. ”Let’s go.”

Hey, winning. Damn it felt good to be a gangsta. Or, really tall, and really hot. Could go either way, honestly. Didn’t matter the reasoning what mattered was that she was totally down-to-fuck. Score. Assuming he didn’t have whiskey dick… and if he did, he could only really blame his friends, showing up randomly after he’d already drunk himself into oblivion.

”My place or yours? Or we can do it here, see where it goes. Don’t matter to me.” Connor was all smiles. Even while drunk, this shit was still easy.

In all honesty, Charlotte didn’t know why she was compelled to go do the dirty deed with Connor out all the people in the world. She knew very well that he had been around more women than most men do in their lifetime. Something about his tall, flawless body had just drawn her in, like an ant to sugar. Her face was slowly becoming redder, as she looked into his eyes. He was drunk, based on the smell of alcohol on him, but so was she, so it didn’t matter.

”Let’s just see where it goes…” Charlotte trailed as she wrapped an arm around Connor’s torso, trying to keep him close so that she sent the message that he was strapped for now. If nothing else, the message was received, as Connor’s arms looped around Charlotte’s waist. The taller man leaned down to the shorter girl’s lips and kissing her, though it was short and brief.

Connor’s mind briefly strayed, remembering what day it was: Friday. That meant tomorrow was Saturday, Olivia day… Well, Connor was in a good mood. The boys were back! He had to celebrate. Maybe it was the alcohol, but he figured that Olivia could survive one morning without him there to watch cartoons with her. What? It was a celebratory night.

Okay, fine, it was totally the alcohol…

”Are you sure? My house is like, empty.” Except for my younger sister. Eh, details. Not important. ”It’ll be fun.”

Charlotte walked along with Connor, her arm wrapped around him as she listened to him try to persuade her into going back to Connor’s house. Charlotte had every intention in the world not to go, but a (mostly) empty house all to themselves? It sounded way better than doing whatever it was they were going to do wherever they were going to do originally.

Finally giving in, the tall Asian girl rolled her eyes, and sighed. ”Fuck it, let’s go.” Charlotte nudged Connor with her shoulder, trying to get him to take her back to his house.

Jack

Location: the party
Interacting with: Jack @gowia

Jack smiled to himself, chuckling as he leaned back a little, easily transitioning the track he had been playing to letting it run through someone else’s work. He wasn’t going to spend the entire night making music to match his sounds, he needed a break and he wanted to see the next move made by his companion across the dancefloor. Knife Party’s ‘Bonfire’ came on over the speakers, and Jack settled himself to add a few and breaks on queues without really even thinking about it. Her opening line made him grin, his mind almost teasing himself with the cheesy line of ”She thinks I’m pretty! which brought him to another chuckle, which was broken by his sleight of hand that deposited another sunflower seed in his mouth. As she started singing Twenty One Pilots, Jack let out a slight sigh, the game was playing out, it seemed she had no desire to see him, and she was just running through other people’s work. His smile fell a little and he offered half amusement in his face as he lost his interest slightly.

That didn’t last.

As her new song started, Jack just went wide eyed, and froze. The words were strange, new and totally alien too him. He didn’t have enough time to try and formulate any sort of track to match it. He just let it flow around the EDM. Reaching up, he dragged his fingers through his hair, pulling back on his scalp as he blinked a few times. Where the hell was Jack supposed to go next? If the answer was there, he couldn’t see it. Gently he started tapping his foot, fast and rhythmic, it set off at the same pace as his heart. He needed something, something new, something she wasn't expecting or waiting for.

Sophie laughed with delight as she seemed to thoroughly stump the DJ. She had a mocking look in her eyes and smile that said, "What's wrong, little prince?"

She wasn't about to stop with that strange language of hers. "Tá tú a twists focail agus labhraíonn tomhaiseanna, anois tuigeann tú ar deireadh cad tá mé. Ghlaonn tú dom éan amhrán, chol beag. Ach anois tuigeann tú go bhfuil an méid serenade tú aingeal an bháis. Tá tú a quake i terror, feicim an eagla i do chuid súl, tá tú uan beag bocht. Na wolves tagtha ar do shon agus tá siad réidh a bite, tá na wolves a thagann chun tú, tá sé in am a rith!" Sophie sang, her voice echoed across the beach and struck a deeper fear into the DJ. She disappeared into the dark of night once more as the terror and confusion settled in, yet she didn't stray far, just out of sight, as her curiosity for how he might react held a firm grip on her. To those who spoke her language, these were her words:

"You who twists words and speaks riddles, now you finally realize what I am. You call me a song bird, a little dove. But now you realize that what you serenade is a angel of death. You who quake in terror, I see the fear in your eyes, you poor little lamb. The wolves have come for you and they're ready to bite, the wolves have come for you, it's time to run! "

Jack hated that look. Hated the mockery, the way it dragged him in then made him feel small. She was playing, but it was a game he couldn't hope to match, and it tugged at his gut in a nausiating fashion. He refused to give in, he wasn't the type, and he wouldn't give the satisfaction of a surrender. Then again, she was winning fair and square. No. Jack could do something. Then it came to him, don't just change the game. Change the whole sport.

Jack turned the music off.

A deft flick of the wrist cancelled the track that was playing and he carefully made sure the speakers hummed into silence nicely, so as to avoid the feedback screech that often plagued larger rigs. In moments, the buzz of people became as deafening as the music might have been only a few seconds before. Not that it mattered, a fight had broken out amonsgt the party goers to one side, causing people's focus to totally be away from the music. Jack didn't mind this, it wasn't a crowd he enjoyed playing for, just the audiance of one had kept him from drowning in boredom. Smirking, Jack unplugged his laptop, checking it over once -and happy with the results, he stepped away from the plinth, loading up a recording program as he walked. Down and across the sand, his feet crunched over and over, with every moment passing he approached Sophie (Though he was not to know her name). Finally standing in front of her, he smiled oh so sweetly, lifting one headphone up to his ear, leaving his other free, he played on the keyboard for a moment. And then finally nodded at her.

"Sing, little blackbird, spin me a tale. Then you'll see my next move." He raised his right brow inquisitively, his face asking her to sing, as well as his words.

Suddenly, the music had stopped. Curiously, the DJ had approached her with his laptop in hand. She then caught a quick glimpse of what was on said laptop and it instantly confirmed a creeping a suspicion that lurked in her mind. Whatever she was going sing was going to be recorded and remixed; he was going to try to use her own against her. She smiled back just as sweetly, almost to where it was irritating to look at. "So that's your move, hm? You're gonna use my own voice against me by remixing everything I say? Now why would I let you do that, pretty boy?"

An idea then struck her, he wanted a remix, so she was going to give him what he wanted. After all, it takes two to make a relationship work. "You want to use my voice? Go ahead and take it. I'm curious to see if your talent is more than just a few pretty words." She replied, still wearing that irritatingly sweet smile of hers. She took a deep breath then sang a wordless chorus, like something you might hear from a church choir. Her voice was ghostly, beautiful, sent chills down the spine, hair to stand on end, and goosebumps to form. It was the very definition of pure and clean, something that could easily be tainted and ruined by remixing or misused with the wrong sound tracks.

When concluding her little wordless "serenade", she gave the DJ a little look of curiosity as to what he had come up with.

Jack was grinning even wide from the moment she mentioned his turn, and that he was pretty, and he didn't even need to respond to get her next move. It was the voice he knew, but now words he could listen too. Washing over him the same way as the waves might, he existed in the song, rather than listened to what it said. Through it all there was that smile, and Jack found it became more and more endearing with each second. The agressive challange was replaced with the questions merely asking for a game, some fun and teasing. As the song ended, Jack considered the gauntlet, it was certainly different to the one her alien language had posed, yet it held difficulties in it's own sense.

The voice could not be the focal point, it was too wishy washy, it didn't hold the attention as it needed to. No, he had other ideas. Checking the recording was safe, he closed the laptop and turned, looking over his shoulder. "Did I not mention? The next part of the game means you need to join me? I can hardly work without a table." He winked, coyly, as he held out an arm invitingly. He was not afraid of refusal, not because he was so confident of his own ability, rather it just did not daunt him. However, what he would certainly have wanted far more was for her to take his arm and follow him, even if only for a moment.

"Me? What are you -?" Sophie started but then was cut off by the rumbling of her phone in her pocket. It was her mom and she was here to pick her up. She sighed, looking up from her phone, at the DJ. "Sorry but... maybe another time then, eh pretty boy?" Her voice sounded almost disappointed.

She took a step towards him and offered him a playful smile, then grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and gently pulled him close , then teased him a bit by staring into his eyes for a second, her eyes were a striking electric blue. Finally, she gave him a soft, quick kiss on the cheek. To her, the kiss didn't mean much, just a simple thank you for the good time. It may have been considered a rather bold move if she had thought much of it. She backed up a few steps. "See you around, bad little boy." She smiled and laughed softly as she backed away into the dark of night.

She made her way up the path to her mother waiting for her in the car. "Did you have a good time, sweetie?" Her mother asked as Sophie sat down in the passenger seat.

Sophie grinned slightly. "Yeah, sure... it was certainly interesting."

And whilst Sophie told her mother absolutely nothing, Jack was left grinning at the party. He hadn't expected such boldness, the way she had grabbed his collar left him somewhat dazed -in a good way- whilst his fingers mechanically went through tracks. He wasn't thinking of impressing now, merely finishing the job and getting home. He had a little to think on, and a lot to plan. The kiss had been sweet, Jack was proud to say he had not blushed, at least jot with her present. What mattered was she went to his school, he would see her around, the year had started so very well indeed.
