I've been wondering what Lucia will grow into in terms of character. I hadn't ever intended on keeping him so dull forever. So he'll probably loosen up as time goes on, have a laugh from time to time. And given it's him I'm talking about, you can imagine how scary that can be. Now I'm not thinking of making him Krit Jr. or something. The way I see it, Krit is someone of a rather definite attitude and stance on things. I'm just envisioning Lucia developing in a more chaotic fashion, you know: "Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stranger" and whatnot.

Well, that's just how things may be anyway, perhaps as a bad ending or something.

@Sarcelle Renard@Rune_AlchemistI feel with all of the ridiculously powered characters you've accepted that after nerfing my character...it seems if he was left the way he originally was, then it really wouldn't have mattered compared to the rest of these people. Because now he's like D level occupying a Rank 3 slot with the nerfs.

You know, when I imagine "gods," I imagine them being exactly that. Nuclear-level attacks, being able to fight in space without suffering any consequences, throwing the moon at the earth and thus destroying it, maybe even tossing the earth into the sun...if we're slaying these kinds of gods, then I think the standards should be equally raised for all characters and not just certain ones.

If the gods aren't that powerful, then this game should have been called "demi-god slayers."

If you think about it, most of the characters in this game would die instantly if a god just used an attack that could detonate everything within 50 miles of him/her/itself with nuclear devastation.

I think I may just make him Rank D because he doesn't have anything that would make him B, and it would make me somewhat feel as though the world is right to some extent because with him being rank B...and not being on a Rank B prowess....it just doesn't make any sense.

I'm also adding a second name to Rabbit that may/may not be learned or discovered in-game. It would be the name of the project he was created under.

Heh, no problem man.

@Holy Soldier
I honestly disagree with your statement. I believe that Rabbit is actually one of the most powerful AGs in this RP, and very much deserves the rank of "B". Here's why:

1) He can adapt ANY abilities. Think about it. Ai & Yuu's Heaven's Armory combined with Aegis's Barriers? Grey's Teleportation with Lucia's Corrosive Appendages? And these are only a few of the possible combinations, not including the powers of Gods and Fiends

2) It had been stated that no gods, since Agni, have been sighted nor killed. Only Fiends. At his point, our characters are only expected to fight Fiends until a god emerges. When that happens, our limiters will be released, and probably boost us up to A or maybe even S rank to combat the god. This RP is not only about awesome destruction and intense combat, it's also about growth and development, and how beings made as weapons learn about a world that they have been sheltered from.

3)
Enhanced Physical and Mental Capabilities: Rabbit’s adaptable DNA has vastly improved his performance to exceed that of the finest human athlete and to the point of being a match against gods. His strength, speed, agility, reflexes, senses, creativity, and rapid decision-making, make him above-average among godslayers with an ever growing potential.
Rabbit's Enhancements

Nuff said.

Edit: I may or may not have misread Rabbit's Adaptive Enhancements. If you could, please explain them.

@Xiro ZeanYou say that he can learn whatever abilities, but it's only abilities he is exposed to. Why other god slayers would ever use their abilities on him is beyond me. But he would be lucky to survive any attacks when he is basically human when nerfed. Other godslayers, gods, and possibly even fiends could kill him with one use of their abilities before he'd even learn them. Because how he learns, to what extent, and how quick was nerfed too. Everything about him was nerfed.

I thought that's what his insane enhancements were for. His general physical ability is above the average godslayer (this is in your own words on your CS), most probably outstripping most of the cast (except Aegis, cause she suplexes shit for a living) in physical prowess. It's not far-fetched to say that godslayer would train with other godslayer to gain power, so there are multiple instances for him to retain SOME kind of abilities from them, even if they may be watered. Though, I do understand that there is an apparent time-limit(?) on how long he can keep them. If it's truly that irritating to even adapt an ability, I would say he would be at least C-rank, and not the extreme of D. :/

Edit: On the subject of surviving, he has regeneration does he not? I would not think he needs to take lethal damage to adapt, only be affected.

@Xiro ZeanIf he survives any exposure, then he can learn that ability or technique that assaulted him to an undecided, subjective extent. I tried to put up to 10 times to make it less vague, but then the GM felt that that was extreme and wants me to use the "Rule of Cool" to decide when. I don't really like that because if I decide, "yeah I think he's been exposed long enough to learn it," the GM can easily disagree and prolong the exposure. It comes down to either way, it's either a GM decision or it's going to be my decision, which is frustrating to think about. Because no one else is policed.

Originally, the regeneration was set to where his every cell would have to be destroyed in order for him to be killed so that he would have a better chance at surviving assaults he's exposed to. I think people like to think inside the box on assault to stabbings, amputation, etc. But there can easily be beam cannons, explosions, nuke-like fire breath attacks, etc.

The only thing my character has got going for him right now is that he's a martial artist. Also, some of that description was from his old CS, so it may just be a contradiction since the nerfs were placed on it. But I doubt the "fiends" know martial arts or martial arts would even matter against monsters. But who knows...we have an undefined enemy here. Anything can happen and because of that, because the threat can be as small and large, I think there should have been some leeway on some things. Unless they're going to be fighting baby-level monsters because most of the godslayers can wipe the floor with those kinds of creatures without even lifting an actual finger.

@Rune_Alchemist You can call off the adorable hit squad, as we are live 12 hours later than I planned right on time!

THE IC IS NOW OPEN

What this means is that you folks are now welcome to start on your introduction posts. For now, focus on getting your character into the Auditorium one way or another and feel free to chat/suplex your siblings.

I feel like I have been making too many apologies lately, so for now I will simply promise to do a better job of staying on top of this.

Now onto other business.

@HaltingBlooper Indeed, I did decree it a while ago but it seems like I did do a poor job ensuring you and @Ashevelendar got the memo. I would much prefer it if you two sorted it out before your introduction posts if at all possible.

@Holy Soldier I mean no offense, but I'm not sure where you are seeing these over powered characters you mention. I did my best to ensure that every CS I accepted was relatively equal in overall power level and potential, so any insight on what I missed would be greatly appreciated.

The problem I had with Rabbit was the fact that he was functionally immortal and had the potential to learn every single world shattering Ability in the RP with little to no outright costs, limitations, or weaknesses. Compared to that, I don't see a single character that has come close to that level of power. And while other characters have access to one ridiculously powerful Ability, Rabbit has access to multiple with very few limitations. Hell, I still think he is all around one of the strongest characters in the RP just for that simple fact, not to mention that he is faster, stronger, and more durable than other AG's. If you must insist though, I would consider him Rank C at the lowest, because his over all ability to kill Fiends is quite high and will only continue to rise as the RP moves forward.

On the subject of Gods, I do agree that killing one should be a truly epic feat. But if they were of the power level that you mentioned, there simply wouldn't be an RP here, as there wouldn't be any way that humanity could have survived first contact with beings like that. Furthermore, it also severely limit character design, as they would be required to have very samey Enhancements/Abilities to be able to tank through attacks like that consistently. So while I admit few, if any, of our characters would be able to survive attacks of that scale, I don't think it is a bad thing nor does it lessen the tension and excitement that will come with fighting Gods.

Yay! I can finally start typing a post! I need to call off those bunnies now... Where's my surplus of carrots?

For the sake of character development, may I claim that my character/s have not been in contact with the other godslayers? It ties in with Ai's personality, as well as their Ability in general.

@Sarcelle RenardI think the issue is. What "you think you see," but you don't know how I play him. His original CS was designed for fighting gods, which is what I thought the premise was all about. Now that I know that they're fighting fiends instead...I still don't quite understand what Xiro was saying about, when there's a god or when one appears, then their limitations will be released? Because I don't know what Rabbits limiters would be besides just being almost human in ability. As I stated before, that descriptive line was for his original CS, and I didn't change it because I overlooked it. Because really with his nerfs, there really is nothing making him above the other AGs except maybe him being the only full-grown adult in the group. That could possibly make his augmentations above the average Godslayer. But he's basically a martial artist with a sword, and he's only as powerful as YOU make him. Yes, you the GM, because he's going to be learning whatever abilities he's exposed to from fiends (if he survives). Those can be weak-ass abilities or they can be powerful ones. Again we don't know because nothing is set in stone so assuming that he's going to be learning super-god-awesome abilities is quite a stretch. Unless you're making every fiend start off that way.

@Sarcelle Renard From what I understood from @HaltingBlooper there can be two characters with the same number if one is male and the other is female. That's why we haven't changed numbers yet. I've talked with him and that is what he told me.

So...help us a little ?

Ah, they amended that choice a few days ago.

Now below I have a working roster sheet of all accepted characters. As I have already discussed this a bit with our all mighty Co-GM, I really would like to avoid splitting the numbers across genders, as it just doesn’t feel right. So instead of giving some people the short end of the stick, I’m upping the number of “most powerful” slots from 9 to 13.

If you see you are sharing a slot with someone else, I would like for you to talk amongst one another and sort out who gets to keep the spot. I would like this to be done before I open the RP up on Saturday, so the sooner we get this done, the better. I am more than happy to help with this, so just speak up if you need me.

@Holy Soldier
Rank: (F-SSS) This is the ranking the scientists have given to you based on how lethal/destructive your character is. Rank F is usually reserved for those that have few, if any, enhancements and have not unlocked their Ability yet. Consequently, those with a ranking of SSS are so unbelievably powerful that their powers only see the light of day when leveling everything in a 10 mile radius is preferable to the alternative.
*At the start of the RP, B is the highest rank any Godslayer can have. This is largely due to the power limiters we are wearing, so expect these rankings to change as the RP goes on.
Character Sheet Skeleton

Above is Agni, for his flames have swallowed entire cities and left not even ash in their wake. But it has been quite some time since Agni, or any god for that matter, have shown themselves. Instead, they send their Fiends, creatures that are imbued with a portion of their power and are similarly named after mythical monsters, out to end humanity. Nobody is certain where exactly the Gods are hiding, but it is theorized that if enough of a God’s Fiends are slain, the God will reveal themselves.

@Xiro ZeanBut you talked about limiters being released when the god appears. Wouldn't that require a secondary area in the CS that needs approval for how strong characters can be for handling the gods? Or is everyone just going to be allowed to do whatever is in their imagination.

That is a question for the GMs, not I. As much as I'm trying to help, I do not have all the answers, only clearing up what can be by my limited power and knowledge :/

From what I understand, however, we are always operating on the "Rule of Cool". As long as you aren't godmodding, auto hitting, and making a fool of yourself, I see no reason for certain limits to be pushed as long as it keeps the RP interesting. Because this isn't meant for us to win, though we probably are, it's just for light-hearted fun :D

@Sarcelle Renard I'll change Ashe to number 9. It's still a 6 but upside down xD She's still as powerful as she were so it's all good.
