Agarwaen shot the arrow near the Oid's foot, not hitting it directly, only landing near his foot. The only one that was hit by the arrow was Darcyn.

Also, he was shooting from the treeline, on top of trees, completely silent.

2) as a guy who has done many reenactments bows are not as quiet as people believe, and either way you can see where the arrows came from.

A hunter's bow is usually silent, we are not talking about rifles here... Hunters use dampeners and other things to reduce the bow's vibration, making it more silent etc. Etc. As i am a Hunter, it is given that my bow its not loud... also, even if it wasnt properly modified, hearing a bow firing from such a distance is unlikely. And i am not exactly by your side, but instead a good bunch of metwrs away, on top of a tree in the forest. I moved silently through the forest, só you couldnt know that i was there.

Unless your dwarf has superhuman reflexes, hearing and/or vision, reacting to my arrow willingly is... well... impossible. Spotting me is very, very, very unlikely. I'm using mirkwood armor... it IS kinda hard to spot me in the forest while wearing it.

You would not have access to modern dampeners and besides you have a giant-ass reinforced longbow which would due to the high pull, long string, etc. have considerable noise. Besides, (especially to get a clear shot) you would have to be relatively close (even more so to aim that accurately, even as an elf) AND there is the fact that Oid is combat ready thinking that one of Darcyn's men would try to shoot him from the side, so he is specifically looking for somebody to try something.

Even then, this is really of no consequence to you since either way I did not let the throwing axe even fly, let alone describe it as hitting you so you are as you were.

1) never said that, but you are wearing chainmail which would not be quiet no matter how hard you tried when jumping and besides you would stay immobile a considerable time when aiming etc....

2) no, Darcyn's men would be in the forest too.

3) No I did not, you ignored my post.

Anyway if someone wants to argue over something so petty when it does not even affect combat sequence etc. I may as well leave.

Its raining, heavily. At night!
Darcyn has have asleep and very green sentries in the woods. Probably a little srunk.
@13org is playing a elf. They are know. For being quiet. The bow however is of Dwarven make and they dont care about noise.

The dwarf Would not see the elf. He may BARELY hear the bow, but he is near Darcyn's band and they are a loud bunch that are partly drunk. Yes the elf would make noise, but Darcyn's crew and the rain would cover it. He is also in the dark in the trees. A dwarf's eyesight is not that good with such limited lighten coming from a tent and a struggling campfire a good bit away.

Also, can you both agree on my ruling with all the factors involved?

Vision is limited due to the rain and the night, so I'm also going to add that Agarwaen's shots IF HE WERE ANY OTHER ELF, would be off. They still will be, but as he is as old as he is he has had hundreds of years to prefect his aim. He's not perfect and will still have a disadvantage but not so large of one.

Even with Dwarven eyesight being underground. That's lost and developed over time, it's not like you have cat eyes. As you have been above ground so long, Oid's sight is more towards light. THough the dark probably wouldn't bother him as much it's raining and he's busy with Darcyn and a rowdy band of drunks.
