Working on a response to Kaite. How Gorman responds to the situation is critical to developing his character, so it could take me a while.

It kind of is a big problem, but I need the problem to develop Gorman. I just can't promise you a long post. :P

Well I can't just tell Tiberius to eff off! Hes standing right there. It was a great plan back when it was just a matter of disappearing before anyone noticed. Now there's the murders...and a witness to Kaite having affiliations with orcs...

Don't worry, Gorman's got your back. Though, I think he still hasn't quite grasped the gravity of the murders. Orcs killing orcs is commonplace back in Fellmore, so humans killing humans doesn't make much of splash on his attention span.

At work, we actually had to recently sit through a 3-hour presentation on cultural diversity.
It was informative, but a little spooky how this just came up a day after the meeting. x_x

EDIT: Now I feel bad for not giving Gorman a chance. ._.
I'm guessing it was kinda his mission to recruit Kaite.

EDIT2: I haven't given up on Gorman and that arc, I'm just trying to think of a way to move things along while staying true to my character and respecting a distinct lack of metagaming. Its...pretty rough, expecially being distracted with preparations for hosting [OBLIGATORY YEAR-END HOLIDAY] at my place. The cleaning and pre-cooking...bleh.

Yeah, it was his primary objective. He's not yet ready to give up, though. He doesn't want to let his Captain down.

It's fine. Challenges and conflicts represent the greatest opportunities to develop one's characters.

And yeah, if I could, I'd bring the whole crew with to go visit the orcs! It'll be great...for Kaite...it'd be like an unruly family reunion where she plays big-sis to anyone who knows her. Again, Idk where to go from there (EDIT: And this isn't a story about Kaite, its about all of us. Including everyone in something as big as skipping team when [MULTIPLE HOMICIDES] happens is pretty much impossible. However, I understand Tex is kinda on their own)

We don't have to bring everyone to the orcs. In fact, I had a funny scene planned out to solve that problem. Gorman would say something like, "How about I pretend-kidnap you? Here, attack me. Hit me right here. It's gotta be authentic, so don't hold back- OW! Ooh, that's a good hit...Too good...Mmph, yep, that'll do the trick."

If it means anything, my second choice for a character was the smallest Orc with something to prove, raised by elves and instinctively begrudging of the world around them. Having a task to 'save the world' would be about as 'opportunity' as the word could describe.
He would have been 5'6 and a flowery rougish knight that hit on all the guys ;P

You got Kaite, because I couldn't find a pic for them.

I realize we need to move the RP forward and get on with the larger quest at hand, and hopefully I'm not speaking out of turn here @Thinslayer, but be mindful when you are attacking another character or even NPC. You can't assume right away that your attacks or magic immediately affects them, as this is considered godmodding and doesn't give the opponent time to deflect or counter in any way.

So long as Thin is alright with it, we'll move forward and get this damn thing underway! :)

Yup, godmodding is usually forbidden, and it's really bad form for the GM to do it either.

Definitely time to get the main quest underway.
