Two clones is pushing it, more than two is a definitive no no from me. Besides the implication that you're basically committing suicide, it also is incredibly unlikely that you have both the skill and the chakra pool to maintain the clones.

Considering, as far as we know, clones require no 'upkeep' and you gain back all your chakra when it is destroyed, I'd say only chakra pool holds you back. Naruto had retard chakra, so he could spare making 50 clones. Probably not so much for an average joe.

Well Uchiha are suppose to have higher chakra reserves due to their bloodline trait. They have the stamina/chakra to cope with the sharingan. Also 4 clones isn't really that many, also I should point out when one of the clones is destroyed the chakra used on that clone goes back to the original. Relaying information and experience back to the original as well. Also Tenshi's jutsus he has only 4 of them. Only 2 are chakra based, the others are dirty tricks that utilized Taijutsu.

I didn't think 4 was that big of a deal it would be splitting his chakra into 1/5th of its original until one is destroyed or under the jutsu is undone. I could lower the number if it really matters though, I didn't see 4 as a big number. Considering running right at a jounin. The four will be turned into a very low number really quickly I would think.

@Asura ... again, 1/2 of your chakra doesn't sound like a lot, but even something as dumb as stepping on water technically costs chakra. Whenever a shinobi is doing things, he burns up chakra. And you only gain back as much as you have left when it dies. So, actually, having two clones shooting fireballs quickly depletes them and might even make them die purely because they're using up their own chakra.

Also, pushing your limits in regards to chakra (i.e. using more than you should) has physical effects as well - you get sick, fatigued, etcetera. Also, you apparently pass out when you use too much chakra. If you use up 100% of your chakra, you die.

I also wasn't saying it was impossible to make 4 clones. I'm just warning him that it's really stupid and nobody in their right mind would do that purely because it makes every battle where you do that a potential death situation.

And if the original Tenshi uses even one jutsu/uses a bit of chakra while none of the clones has died, he'd pass out. Although we don't really see it except at the start of Naruto, using up a lot of chakra can take you down.

When Sasuke trains with Kakashi to learn chidori, he can perform two. He asks Kakashi what happens if he makes a third, and Kakashi says he'll die. That's how serious it is. Know your boundaries.

I wouldn't have said something if I didn't have a base around it. As for 'know your boundaries' I thought I did I used four clones. Tenshi cannot even use a any other jutsu. He cannot use a fireball without having to fake it. If Tenshi uses any other jutsu, which he doesn't possess any other jutsu, apart from the shuriken one.

Yes I know he would pass out if he uses anymore but he hasn't. I can lower the number of the shadow clones I have no problem with that. So should I lower the number down to maybe 2 clones and the original will that be acceptable?

@BladeSS4 I'm okay with the discussion, lol, so don't feel discouraged. But in my opinion, a more potent chakra doesn't mean more chakra. It means your chakra is stronger (whatever the fuck Kishimoto meant with that when he wrote it.. this is all based on part 1 of Naruto, and everything was inconsistent.) but not that you have more.

I mean, shadow clones is something similar to that, but to be frank, I think four is a bit too much, and as I've discussed it with Ryo briefly, he also thinks it's a bit too much - not from a PVP perspective, but from the perspective of wanting to keep things consistent within the roleplay. It doesn't make sense if a genin can create 4 shadow clones but a jonin could not.

I think you shoulder lower it to two, yes. Purely because he's a genin. I mean, let's be fair - you're also the only one that has shadow clone and it's one of the most powerful (legit) techniques in PVP. You can turn any 1v1 into a teamfight if you want. I think that's a huge advantage even if you can only make one. Four is a bit over the top.

Sasuke was 13, a prodigy, and could only preform it twice. Ria is 15, and only just passed the Chunin exam.

Depends upon how many other jutsu you use. If you spam C-ranks all day and try pulling 3 A-ranks in a row, you'll have a bad time.

Putting arbitrary limits on jutsu for such a reason is silly. Circumstances always change. I'd much prefer a system of common sense. :v

Then again in the long run, there's no denying that our characters will eventually surpass the canon ones in certain areas. Like I can see majority of the cast given feats here is 1000000000x better than Sakura.

Except Sakura has a great powerset canonically.
