This will be updated as the plot continues on. Sometimes players will be given the opportunity to play as an arc's villains. Provided the RP's scope expands, such positions may be opened up more permanently to allow for a greater amount of flexibility and creative potential.
【Additional Appearance Info: Standing at 5'7 and weighing in at—ask again and I'll pluck your eyes out—Kairi is a rather slender woman with an air of confidence about her. Her curves modest till you get below waist level, Kairi's body is athletic and well toned. While once she was forced into the traditional shinigami shihakusho, she has since shed the uniform in place of her current outfit, which is part utility and part style. Most notable is the train of cloth that trails down from her waist, concealing the position of her blade, which is laid horizontally at the small of her back. Beyond this the colors of her outfit serve to accentuate her body and, more particularly, her face and fierce amber eyes.
【Biography: Kairi came into the rukongai as a baby, something surely tragic having occurred to result in such a fate. Nonetheless, a poor family took her in and raised her, attempting to instill in her the values that would allow her to survive in the lower districts where violence was rampant and food was scarce. However, before she was even ten, bandits broke into their home. She woke up later to find the house empty. She had gotten out unscathed, but had lost her family as a result. She cried, but the world soon toughened her up as she learned to steal and fight for food and shelter. She learned that there was little room for remorse when someone stole from you instead. She learned the darker side of humanity, and this impression of humankind would remain with her for many years to come. Needless to say, she fought tooth and nail to extricate herself from the violence, and she succeeded, eventually ending up in one of the better districts.
However, her thieving ways one day ended her up at the feet of a shinigami, where she was punished, and then forced to enroll in the academy. It seemed the shinigami had seen promise in her, and he was right...though perhaps not in the way anyone would have expected. Swiftly she began to feel she didn't belong as she failed classes left and right, possessing less reiatsu than most around her, not to mention how little interest she saw in kido. However, there were two things that caught her eye, for she had always seen the appeal of evasion and of brutal and unforgiving physical punishment. So her classmates began to learn that where she failed in zanjutsu, flunked in kido, and lacked in stamina, she more than made up for it with raw strength, durability and speed. She went largely undeafeted in sparring exercises and she liked it. She liked being above the others, liked the attention—negative and otherwise, and so she fed on it.
As the decades passed she became more and more skilled in Hoho and Hakuda, eventually managing to pass the academy, with a recommendation to help her out from under the weight of her other failed classes. With that she began her ascension through the ranks, jumping between divisions until she landed herself in the 2nd division where finally some discipline was forced upon her. As she was finally brought to reign she found solace in her lacking authority by venting her cruelty and annoyance on her zanpakuto and so it was that she rose to 3rd seat with the reveal of her shikai. In the next couple of centuries she managed to nearly master her shikai, while surpassing even most captains with her prowess in Hakuda and Hoho respectively. She became known Fuishi after a series of missions in which she was tasked to hunt down several defectors. When the medical crew was called they found that all there was to do...was clean up the mess and with several of them having witnessed the exchange, well they found the title fitting. So it was that a six decades ago, in the week following that incident, she was promoted to the lieutenant of 2nd division, after all...one of the defectors had been the former lieutenant.
The following years were relatively quiet and especially boring in her opinion, until what appeared to be a rebel faction appeared in the midst of the seireitei and laid low the Gotei 13, herself included. She took the defeat badly, and for the last several years she's trained, rage consuming her, even as her zanpakuto grows more distant with every passing week. Unable to understand why, Kairi finds herself frustrated and it is this frustration which has led her to join in the effort to reclaim their place in the seireitei. Plus, who couldn't use more positive points in their resume? After all, she's got her sights set on the captain position, and she's got no intention of letting Arina outshine her, even if they are sort of friends.
【Personality: Kairi is a girl with equal parts sass and kindness, despite what some might say. She's the sort that you're either drawn to or jealous and hateful of and she's responded to it with smiles and tasteful sarcasm, or the latter and a cold hatred. She hates easily and while it's relatively easy to become her friend, she's highly competitive and just a little judgmental. Holding herself to very high standards has, over the years, resulted in her—to a lesser degree—holding others to similar bars. As a result she's isolated herself from some circles, but earned respect and notoriety as a result. After all, even when people hate her, it's hard to talk shit about someone who can probably hear you from half a mile away and could easily break 100% of your bones.
As one might expect of someone like her, Kairi's got a temper, and while she'll dial it back and keep herself under control most times, she can get pretty worked up...and it can end violently if you're not careful. Say the wrong thing and you're likely to end up under the care of 4th division for a good long while. This reveals a certain cruelty about her, one that is the result of a sadistic streak, as while she could often kill someone or leave them be, she'd much rather tease—in flirty fashion—or injure beyond the point of repair just to watch you suffer in the long run. This of course runs contrary to her division, which often forces her kills to be swift, if not clean. As such she has managed to develop a measure of professionalism when it comes to assassinations, though not so for slaughters. Still, with stamina as low as hers, she's likely to burn bright and hot, before burning out with due swiftness. As to her humor, well, she's sarcastic and holds little value in the like of puns, unless they're about violence...violence is an exception.
As a leader on the other hand, Kairi is strict, often picking up some of the slack for her godawfully lazy captain, Arina Kawagana—the slothful bitch. Oh yeah, did I mention she's spiteful and proud? Because that's a thing too.

【Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
N/A or TBA. Pending.
High Reiryoku(1/4): While Kairi has never had exceptional reiryoku, she makes due, her skills and physical training having enabled her to exert incredible physical power and achieve near unmatched speed. Nonetheless, the shinigami tires relatively quickly, with her longest fight times reaching about 15 minutes—nothing compared to her peers. Her reiryoku, when seen during Kairi's shikai, takes on a golden color.
Non-Existent Reiatsu(0/4): Due in part to her incredibly low stamina, Kairi possesses no reiatsu whatsoever making her effectively invisible outside of the five traditional senses. Additionally, this has resulted in a sort of advantage for the lieutenant, allowing her a sort of effortless stealth.
Average Alignment(2/4): Still embroiled in her ego, and largely unwilling to accept her faults, Kairi has nonetheless come to realize that she does have flaws. However, she is not as peace with these flaws, making her self mastery rather mediocre.
Untrained Zanjutsu(0/4): Let's just say she flunked the class.
Poor Offense(0/4): Nope.
Poor Defense(0/4): Nada.
Average Resonance(2/4): Before the attack of the enigmatic shinigami, Kairi's zanpakuto resonance was of one who had nearly mastered their shikai. However, now after contact with their adversaries she—like many others—has found the bond between her and her zanpakuto...well, waning. Unable to understand it, she struggles to maintain her connection with the spirit, striving for a way to perhaps reconnect. Her resonance has lowered to the average for her rank, rather than exceptional as it once was.
Legendary Hakuda(5/4): Years of brutal training inflicted on herself, rather than any other, Kairi has developed skills in Hakuda that to most, seem to defy reason. This on top of her lacking stamina, high resilience, and more than considerable speed has resulted in a fighting style that can be summarized in two words “Shock and Awe.” In short, Kairi is known for using her incredible strength and speed to turn her surroundings into advantages and put her opponent into bandages—provided they survive at all. She hits hard, she hits repeatedly, and she does it fast. However, this is not to say that her tactics are without subtlety.
Legendary Offense(5/4): As one would expect of someone of her skill level, Kairi has developed her offensive talents to the very pinnacle, which in tangent with her defense makes her equally good at holding any position in a fight, as well as mounting counter attacks.
Legendary Defense(5/4): Similarly, Kairi's skill in the defensive arts is significant, allowing her to guard, dodge, and deflect with relative ease, especially against any lesser opponent. This, when coupled with her insane resilience, allows her to to take blows that would kill or permanently disable others as if they were more akin to blows at half strength.
Legendary Physical Strength(5/4): Practically unmatched despite her former rank of lieutenant, Kairi's physical strength allows her to seemingly move the unmovable, crush the uncrushable, and outright shake the very ground on which she stands. A single well place punch can tear apart clothes, shatter bones, rip muscles, and even make craters in the surfaces nearby. Long story short, if ya get hit, you're probably gonna have to quit.
Untrained Kidō(0/4): Never having had any interest in the art, nor really any talent for it, Kairi utilizes kido not at all, leaving her at a range disadvantage.
Poor Kido Power(0/4): The potency of her kido is about as relevant and notable as her skill in the art.
Incredible Perception(4/4): Kairi is perceptive, very...very perceptive, and while she doesn't have any particular special abilities in the area, she has been able to master the use of all her senses, especially with her focus on hand-to-hand combat. This has resulted in an enhanced sense of balance as well as an awareness of her own body. Additionally, while she possesses no skill with any weapon not attached directly to her fists, Kairi is adept at reading body language, both in combat and out. As a result she has a strong predictive sense when it comes to any physical art and can navigate the field of battle with relative ease so long as she's not forced to predict other sorts of attacks. Of course, this does not mean she can't sense reiatsu at all, as that would be inaccurate. In fact, due to her division she has had to hone her sixth sense as well, thus allowing her to pick up on people almost instinctually as well as giving her the ability to detect increases in the amount of ambient reiatsu. Nonetheless, she can mistake people's energy signatures if she hasn't been in contact with them for a time, making it hard for her to tell who is where unless she's had time to associate names and faces with one's reiatsu. Nonetheless, she gets by.
Hohō Grandmaster(4/4): She's fast. Getting from point A to point B is a flash of movement. She can keep up with the best of 'em aside from prodigies or those with an absurd amount of training under their belts. She's good enough to have developed a few techniques of her own, but not good enough to have revolutionized the art. Still though, her speed's nothing to laugh at, in fact, while you're laughing, you might find a foot crushing all your ribs. Not a good look. Furthermore, her fancy footwork and intense hoho training can be coupled with her Hakuda skills, resulting in a kick that you won't remember, because you'll probably be dead...or have brain damage.
Legendary Mobility(5/4): While her hoho is at the pinnacle that most are capable of reaching, she's gone a step further with her mobility, making her highly flexible, acrobatic, quick on her feet, and possessing of insane reaction times. This, along with her hakuda, makes her a terror at close range. Seriously, the stuff of nightmares. Legendary Resilience(5/4): With a lacking presence and stamina to scoff at it should come as no surprise that Kairi would make up for her failings somewhere. Despite her tiring quickly she is capable of taking a tremendous amount of damage without faltering, or letting up. She scoffs at ceros and shrugs off most blunt force strikes, her skin's toughness and natural spunk allowing her to stand up even after blows of tremendous power. Rumors hold that once she laughed off a cero to the face—the rumors are true.
This is a hoho technique, utilizing what amounts to one half to two and a half shunpos within the space of 1-3 seconds. This use of shunpo coupled with a bit of footwork and seeming motion to suggest a given direction results in an afterimage that appears to flash forwards a variable amount of distance, typically to unsettle, startle, or cause the user's opponent to react and perhaps create an opening. The fewer flash steps utilized, the less distance is crossed. This technique requires either non-existent reiatsu or the ability to completely conceal one's own presence, or the ability to project one's reiatsu along with the afterimage.
Hanpo(半歩'Half step'): Hoho(2+); Mobility(3+) 5th seat and up.
While requiring a relatively low level of skill in the way of Shunpo itself, Hanpo is certainly just as useful as its counterpart. In essence, this technique allows the user to appear to move up to three feet further than they actually moved. It can be described as “the whole of a shunpo, but with less distance covered.” The user remains visible for all but a moment of the technique, though the technique can only be executed at short range it is still useful for throwing off an opponent.
A technique employing a shunpo with a swiveling step, allowing the user to turn as well as move at incredibly high speed, increasing the angles from which they may attack whilst moving at high speed. May be used to land two hits with one strike. Typically used by shinigami to pierce the Saketsu(Chain Binding) and Hakusui(Soul sleep).
Through unifying one's skill in hoho, mobility, and physical strength--while mitigating or dispersing the damage of such with one's natural durability--an individual the limits of the body. Normally this would require transcendent skill in shunpo, but in Kairi's case she utilizes her zanpakuto to circumvent this requirement. As such, before even attempting to utilize this technique, she must first activate Nashi kōsoku. Once done she can begin this technique's use.
Essentially, this technique is much like Senka, but instead forces the user to surpass their speed through superior mobility and physical strength, pushing beyond one's limits. For a true user, this technique will elevate them beyond their normal max speed, pushing them beyond the threshold of legendary, if only minutely. For Kairi however, the technique allows her to become legendary in her speed--though hers is of an unrefined sort. Essentially she is capable of using her physical strength to arrest and then alter the direction of her momentum in a curving trajectory by using her legs and feet as if they were jackhammers. This effectively, with the use of Nashi kōsoku, doubles her mobility, and makes her far faster than she could otherwise be. This of course comes at a cost for any user as after sustained use, the body will tire, and if one does not stop...they will find themselves tearing muscles or even snapping bones. Such are the dangers of surpassing one's limits.
Senshi no ketsui(戦士の決意'Warrior's will'): Perception (4); Hakuda (3+).
By redistributing the reiryoku within one's own body using only one's will and physical awareness, the user will limit their perception in some manner, typically causing tunnel vision or the loss of awareness outside of a certain range. Typically requiring several seconds of focus to initialize, Senshi no ketsui allows the user to attain a nigh absolute awareness of their person and either a set area or set of targets. This essentially sacrifices their ability to detect attacks outside of their designated sensory range, or those not directed at them via their target. However, in exchange the user is capable of heightened reaction speed and greater predictive capability.

Sealed State
~"Once he was strong and imposing, but I swiftly taught him who was on top. He hasn't stepped up since, and I like it that way."~
Inner World & Spirit:
Kairi's inner world is one of immovable mountains and terribly fierce winds, its skies red and fiery, with its ground coated in snow and its mountains almost like ice or crystal. Within it dwells her Zanpakuto Spirit, Shūryō-jiku, who once took the form of an imposing man, but has since become a tiny sniveling child, the size of a sprite or fairy.
Zanpakuto Personality: Both like and unlike its master, Shūryō-jiku is a strange spirit, as it is both stubborn and willful, while being submissive to Kairi. To any other the spirit would be a powerful force to be reckoned with, seemingly impossible to convince and similarly impossible to stop should it take in its mind to do something. Yet, even with the waning resonance between them, Shūryō-jiku has become entirely subservient to Kairi. It appears as if the spirit has had its resolve crushed by mountains and its wits scattered by the very winds of the world in which it resides. However, as their bond slowly wanes, the spirit regains some of its old self...bit by bit.
Shikai
~"Let your body be my shackles and my mind be your will, Shūryō-jiku(終了軸'Terminal Axis')"~
Ability: Its form that of two unique knuckle dusters, Shūryō-jiku's primary ability takes the form of six orbs, which however between their spikes. These six orange orbs are formed of a composite material that occurs when reishi and reiryoku are bonded equally into a closed system. These orbs can bind themselves to any individual or object in addition to being capable entering two separate states. The first state causes an orb to become a nigh immovable object by condensing its bound reiryoku into its center and allowing it to spin around a central point. While these orbs can be moved, doing so requires a tremendous amount of effort. On the other hand, the second state an orb can enter allows it to become a nigh unstoppable force, by externalizing its reiryoku and causing it to explode in a stream behind it, sending it in one direction at high speed. While these two states are useful abilities, there is one further property that should be noted, that being that orbs can be bound to living things as well and how tied they are to a given part of that living thing depends entirely upon how long Kairi can maintain physical contact—this applies to objects as well.
A mere second of contact will bind an orb to only the point of contact on the surface level, whereas 3 seconds will bind it to deeper layers of tissue and 5 seconds, small amounts of muscle in addition to the aforementioned. As the amount of time goes up, so too does the depth and surface area of the orb's effect. This makes Kairi's ability one to be truly feared as the wrong move could be your last. It should be noted that direct interference with an orb can cause them to briefly short circuit—though this requires an above average level of control of one's reiatsu and/or internal reiryoku. The greater the reiryoku/reiatsu, the easier it is to disrupt the orbs. There is a brief period of 8 seconds before an orb can be switched between states.
Techniques
Fudō no shichū(不動の支柱'Immovable Brace'): Moving the orbs and activating their first state, Kairi binds them to her person. This ability allows her to be struck, but not moved with any ease. The effect can be activated and deactivated, but each time it must build up, thus allowing her to be moved more easily or normally for a brief time.
Nashi kōsoku(無し拘束'Without Restraint'): Similar to Fudō no shichū the orbs are moved into her own body, but in this case they enter the second state. With this done she can sync her movements with that of her orbs, allowing her to move at accelerated speeds or to accelerate the momentum of a given movement. Just as with the previous technique, the orbs must charge their momentum if their position in her body is to be altered. This technique, is far more risky than its counterpart, as should she move incorrectly or misjudge the trajectory of an orb, it could do serious damage to her body.
There remains one or two more techniques that she is currently unaware of.
【Additional Appearance Info: Taikou stands at 6'3 and weighs around 270 lbs, his form garbed in traditional shihakusho and captain's haori he is a sight to behold. With his zanpakuto slung across his back, and an imperious air about him, the man is not one to be trifled with. Don't let his youth fool you either, for under his shihakusho is a well muscled body, and within that body is a reiryoku of unique properties.
【Biography: Taikou came from nothing, or at least that is what he was led to believe. Growing up in the 68th district, food was scarce, and he was always hungry. He'd never been human, so it was something of a miracle that he survived into childhood at all. By the time he was that old, his parents were sickly and ill from malnutrition, while he was still barely a stick despite how much they had sacrificed to allow him to survive. So it was that he lost both parents to starvation at the age of five, leading him to fight every day for his survival. Yet, he had an inexplicable advantage, reiatsu so great, that even as a child, people struggled to be around him. With no control of his power, any fight he got into earned someone bruises or broken bones. Sometimes it was the bones in his fingers or toes...but more often it was the bones of his aggressors. So it was that he grew up with a fierce instinct for survival and a fire in his eyes. Of course, when he'd been younger there had been a kindness in him, but it was suppressed with his need to survive.
Fighting his way from the lower districts, Taikou eventually stumbled upon an old compound of the Tatasuko family, one they still watched, and it was there that he found a haven. Still stocked with food and with people who were more than willing to help him learn his power, Taikou grew up amongst the Tatasuko, learning from some of the most intelligent and gifted non-shinigami in soul society. While the noble family did not adopt them, they in large part helped nurse his mind back into equilibrium, helping him balance the violence of his past, with the kindness of his soul. With this lesson learned he departed their care, his body that of a fourteen year old boy at the time. It was then that he took Shin'o academy by storm, graduating not in the alloted 5 years, but in 1. His skills in everything but kido excelled and seeing this, the aged Captain Commander recommended him to the 1st division and took him under his wing.
Training the boy to further hone his tremendous reiatsu, the Commander, and some of the other Veterans of the Gotei 13 practically raised the young shinigami. In him the commander, Sakazuki, Ihara, instilled a sense of the world. Of the rules a shinigami must adhere, to and how to instill respect, fear, and order in others. She taught him to follow what he felt was right, but to keep in mind the consequences. She taught him to never back down, and she taught him how to harness his strength. So it was that in a period of fifty years he not only became her equal, but grew to surpass her in the next ten. On that day, she stepped down from her position, and gave it to him. While there were many dissenters at first, their cries died down when she revealed to them that she had been sick for a very...very long time, and that she was not much longer for the world.
That and a tournament, in which any dissenter took on their new Commander, were her parting gifts, as they allowed him to prove himself to every shinigami he would lead--prove that his strength would be sufficient, and his wisdom and resolve were apparent. The result was, in large part favorable, with only a select few still disliking the state of things, but what was done was done after all. In the century that followed, Taikou proved his leadership time and time again, as the hollow menace seemingly organized itself. He deployed the divisions with efficiency and intuitive understanding of the threat until it had been wiped out. As of twenty years ago, the hollow menace was reduced considerably and the state of Soul Society and the balance of souls was returned.
All was well.
That was, until one fateful day five years ago when their world was turned on its head. Since then, Taikou has been in low spirits, his morale and pride severely wounded by his defeat and thus failure to uphold his sole duty: The protection of Soul Society. However, within the last two years he has regained his resolve and so has gathered some of the strongest members of the Gotei 13, with the intention to once more reclaim their home.
【Personality: Taikou is often mistaken for a very moderate sort of person, someone who is thoughtful and accepting of all views, when the reality is that he has two almost entirely distinct sides, one intuitive, understanding, and emphatic; the other fiery, stern, and in large part aloof and unforgiving. He is kind and calm in most scenarios, but when problems present themselves he will use his intuition and strict adherence to law and order to quickly and efficiently solve them. He is one who prefers to solve issues non-violently, but who will nonetheless resort to violent means if he sees it necessary. He is patient with those who respect his edicts, while being almost unforgiving to those who disobey.
This dual nature of his creates a clash of interests in Taikou, made worse when combined with his position and youth. He is meant to be looked upon as a leader, as the strongest among the captains and the one holding the power to protect the Seireitei. Yet, he is inexperienced and while he is surely wise beyond his years, his lacking time in the Gotei 13 has limited him in some aspects. In this way, his power and authority is like that forged by a master, but wielded by one still learning the art. Nonetheless, Taikou is a proficient leader, capable of making proper judgment calls and making the hard decisions when no one else will. He is willing to sacrifice for the greater good, be it others or himself, and while in some aspects he aims to please, he is not so concerned with the thoughts and opinions of his subordinates as to cloud his judgment.
【Notable Traits】
【Defining Traits】
Positive
▲ Wise beyond his years. ▲ Fierce. ▲ Level-headed. ▲ Patient.
Taking the form of a necklace, this object was made for him by a team in the 12th division early in his time in the Gotei 13. The object essentially suppresses the unstable nature of his incredibly potent reiatsu, allowing him to exist without harming those around him. However, as a result, Taikou is somewhat weakened so long as it remains active. To deactivate the necklace, Taikou must grasp it within one of his palms. Conversely he may focus reiatsu into it and shatter it—though this would require that he be made a replacement.
While not a master of the art, Taikou was indeed trained by its creator, Zume Tatasuko. In essence, this skill is one in which a shinigami condenses, focuses, and control their own reiatsu, forming it into an invisible tool. In essence, this works by, rather than merely exerting reiatsu, focusing it into useful shapes and then projecting them outwards. While someone like Taikou is certainly powerful, capable of using his reiatsu to defend against some attacks, cut foes, or release powerful bursts of force at, or into his target he is not—by any means—capable of the full scope of the art's properties. At full mastery, Reiheika can be used in a more precise fashion, allowing the user to lift and manipulate objects—and sometimes even people—as if they were using their hands.
Ichiji-sei jōtai(一時性状態'Transient State'):N/A.
A trait the shinigami was born with, Taikou's reiatsu, when not controlled by both his constant focus and the Yōzai yokuatsu-sha, begins to resonate and constantly emit from his person in sometimes deadly waves of force. Additionally, if continually exposed to the resonance of his reiatsu, one will begin to experience headaches and a steadily worsening physical condition due to constant vibrations being channeled through the body. For this reason the commander keeps his reiatsu heavily limited in all but the most extreme scenarios.

Sealed State
~"I am of two worlds, forced to come together."~
Inner World & Spirit: Taikou's inner world is one of starkly opposing forces brought into a measure of harmony. With the entirety of the world being devoid of land, this world is instead composed of fire and water, with each encapsulated within the other. Where there would be clear air there is instead steam. Where there would be open sky, there is fire, and where there would be land, there is only a vast unending ocean. Simlar to the world in which it lives, Taikou's zanpakuto spirit, Ki kan ki korosu has a dual nature, taking the form of a humanoid entity that is wreathed in a storm of flame and fluid, ever cycling around and through its body, emitting steam all the while.
Description. Feel free to make the title of this a set of links.
Zanpakuto Personality: As with both its master's nature, Ki kan ki is a being of dual nature, though in its case it is one of extremes. In one moment it could be kind and helpful, whereas the next it could be violent and cruel. Its nature is in a constant flux, which is more a representation of the imbalance within Taikou than it is of the being's true nature.
Shikai
~"Seeming uncertainty, dissolve within solidity, Ki kan ki, korosu(きかん気殺す'Unyielding Immolation')."~
Ability: Manifested when his blade is drawn and its sheath struck against its flat, Taikou's shikai is more than it seems. The weapon which it manifests is a construct of metal, within which clash the aspects, rather than the elements, of water and fire. It is this interaction that allows Taikou to, by manipulating where the etheric elements interact, control the temperature of the steam which his zanpakuto may release. Speaking of release, the steam, when he wishes to create it, is exuded through thousands of holes that can open and close at Taikou's will. If he so chooses, he may even control the pressure that the steam releases at, by constricting its flow to less holes. However, this is hardly the most unique aspect of the Commander's shikai, for that title goes to Taikou's ability to, at a moment's notice, make solid any steam he has released, either selectively, or in its entirety. Beyond this, all there is to note, is that the movements of the glaive are mirrored in the steam it emits.
Techniques
Fuantei heikō(不安定な平衡'Precarious equilibrium'): Holding his glaive in both hands, blade facing the earth, Taikou opens every pore in its form, eventually removing the outer shell of his glaive and revealing the etheric elements within. Upon doing so the etheric water and flame will spiral out of the glaive and travel around the glaive instead, after which the outer shell of the glaive will close. Once activated, Taikou may use the spiraling elements as direct attacks rather than merely control the steam they create. Taikou may cause the elements to collide, or draw portions of them back into his zanpakuto to create steam or, in the case of drawing one element or the other, facilitate the creation of blasts or jets of water/flame. Additionally, this technique allows the use of his other two techniques, while removing his ability to solidify steam so long as it remains active.
Nessui shōtotsu(熱水衝突'Hydrothermal collision'): Following the use of Fuantei heikō this technique becomes accessible. Preformed by aiming the glaive at his adversary and extending/firing the two elements which spiral around his glaive, the technique culminates when the two elements collide, creating a drastic pressure distance and causing a hydrothermal explosion, resulting in a massive shockwave and steam capable of inflicting third degree burns. If a direct hit is achieved, the technique is capable of blowing limbs off, or outright killing the victim if they are not durable enough to withstand the blast. As with the steam prior to the use of Fuantei heikō, the spiraling elements can be guided by the movement's of his zanpakuto, allowing him to follow a target if he so chooses.
Kyōkai shōmetsu(境界消滅'Boundary dissolution'): Planting his glaive as if in the ground, Taikou will take in each hand a single element, before slamming them together. The result causes a powerful eruption of force and searing hot steam, which spreads out over a vast distance, obscuring vision and reiatsu senses due to the reiryoku contained therein. Following the technique's use, Taikou will lose his zanpakuto's ability to generate steam, fire, or water and will instead utilize the already deadly steam as cover and attack both, using his martial skills to overpower his opponent. Additionally, while all other manipulation of the steam is disabled during the technique, Taikou is capable of ending it at any time and also expanding the steam in any or all directions by exerting greater amounts of reiatsu and directing its flow.

【Additional Appearance Info: Standing at 5'10, Xiang is fairly tall and a moderate build. She has dark black hair, and piercing eyes. She's often in a jacket, even over her shinigami clothes, and doesn't often display her lieutenants sash openly.
Carrying herself with a sense of purpose, her posture speaks more of her appearance than her clothing. It is always stiff, and quickly changes before trouble brews, she has perfected the death glare.
In her gigai, her appearance fits in with the modern world. She'll wear semi casual clothes, and always present herself well. She of course has a police uniform.
【Biography: Xiang doesn’t remember much of her human life, having died young. She arrived as a mere child in the Rukongai, barely able to pronounce her own name, and unable to talk to anyone. She had found herself in one of the most unruly districts, South District #79, Tsuku. Violence and death surrounded this place. Xiang would have most certainly died here if she hadn’t been found by a local gang of kids who looked after her. One boy in particular she grew close to, named Tadakatsu. It was a pitiless place, and still gives Xiang nightmares about it.
The number one rule was be ignored if you want to live. Xiang had a problem with that, she often spoke her mind, and had to be dragged off before any harm could come to her. She saw couldn’t stand things that were wrong. She learned her place when one time, she wasn’t dragged off. Mouthing off to a man for hitting a woman. It was the wrong man to mouth off to. He drew a blade and struck at her. Xiang flinched, only to be pushed out the way by Tadakatsu.
The man, spat at the ground and left without the slightest remorse. Xiang thanked Tadakatsu profusely. He cryptically said.
“It’s a cruel place, so unjust…I think you’re right, just... don’t do anything stupid, okay Xiang?”
“Okay, okay, I won’t, fine.”
Tadakatsu was silent. It was then panic hit Yue Xiang as she noticed the blood. She screamed at Tadakatsu to wake up, but he never did.
Yue Xiang stopped with her outburst. She still couldn’t find herself to complacently accept that this was how things were. She just didn’t know what she was going to do.
The next world shattering event happened as she was gathering wood once for the group, when hollows appeared in the Rukongai, attacking the district. Xiang ran as fast as she could from them, but seemed doomed to be devoured. It took the hollow, a bear like one, a long while to catch up to her. It crashed into her, pressing her against a tree. Xiang closed her eyes, only to hear it scream.
Opening her eyes, she saw a sight that amazed her. A soul reaper stood sheathing his zanpakuto.
Xiang had no idea what he was, but the idea that someone could be that strong changed her view of the world. If only she could be strong, she could make the world around her a more just place.
Discovering what a soul reaper was, she joined the academy, moving the the Academy. While she wasn’t particularly talented in the academy apart from her speed, she was described by her classmates as ‘obsessed’. Others wanted to be a soul reaper, she seemed to have no other purpose.
Her view was it was the ultimate power to change the world around her. However, she idealized soul reapers a little too much. Meeting several upon joining the Gotei 13 seemed to shake her. She was initially placed in the 11th squad. She couldn’t stand it, and has a hatred of this squad to this day. Seeing those around her love violence as much as where she was from was sickening. Her zanpakuto being a knife put her at the very bottom of the squad’s unspoken pecking order. Her shikai eventually being discovered as still a knife made it worse. That wasn’t even the start of it of what sickened her. One man she had not expected to see was the man from the same district as her. The very same who had killed Tadakatsu. He too was in the 11th squad, and what was worse, he was her superior.
She had learned however from her days in the Rukongai to keep her mouth shut. She saw the same problem as before. She couldn’t do anything while there were people stronger than her above her. Especially him.
She didn’t know his name, but she kept a sharp eye on him, and a quiet mouth. She eventually discovered he was behind many crimes in the barracks. She continued to keep a tight lip, until a member of squad 2 passed by. The punishment force. She stopped him, and passed him to his superior of some ‘tidbits of information’ squad 2 would like to know. The next day, he did not come to work. It brought a wicked smile to her face. She continued to pass ‘tidbits of information’ to Squad 2, becoming unofficially adopted by the squad. Her superiors did not like rats though, and began to be suspicious of her.
Sensing danger, Xiang sent for an immediate transfer, and reported to the barracks of squad 2 before she was officially transferred. It felt like home there. They made sure there was order. The purpose of a soul reaper. She didn’t want to fight senselessly, she just wanted to make sure there was justice.
The next challenge she had was when the squad found out she was from the Rukongai. Not only the rukongai, but an outer district. Many turned their nose up at them, but Xiang figured if she had the skills they couldn’t complain.
Her skills blossomed in that squad. Not only did she have hard work, she was happy in the squad, and that made the difference. She earned her place. She discovered she was talented with Kido, and strengthened herself as well.
After many years of hard work, she discovered bankai. Training with it, she broke her arm the very first time she tried a single throw from it, embarrassing her greatly. She told no one about it, or her bankai, saying it was a training incident, which wasn't a lie.
Her true embarrassment only started the next day, when the soul society was invaded by the Junsei. Xiang was completely useless with her broken arm, and fled to the human world. Taking a gigai, she hid as a police officer in Karakura town. She often slipped away to assassinate hollows. This lifestyle lasted for 3 years, before Taikou found her, bringing her back to the group determined to take back the Seireiti. She accepted, though she still doesn't mention her bankai.
【Personality: Xiang is obsessed with justice, and goes to extreme lengths to enforce it. She holds those with power to particularly high standards, seeing it as their responsibility to maintain order and justice to everyone else. She hates the thought of people misusing their power. Ironically, she’s the closer than many in doing this in her pursuit as what she perceives to be right and wrong.
Past her obsession, Xiang does have human qualities... off hours it seems. She notes others having hard time, and often drinks with them after hours. Sympathizing makes her own problems seem smaller, though she hides her troubles, as well as she hides any sensitive information.
Xiang always acts extremely confidently and unflappable around others, but struggles inside with her unrealistic high expectations of herself. Seeing herself as a symbol as a former high ranking shinigami, she expects herself to be absolutely perfect, and can never make it. She has a dream she knows can never come true as well, a perfectly just system, but knows she’s probably punished innocents before.
In some ways, being exiled from the Seireiti has been good for her. She has a clear target, who is clearly evil, so she can be a symbol against them and injustice.
A quick shunpo step, the user glides by the opponent (preferably a restrained one), leaving a quiet glancing blow as they pass. The user lowers their reiatsu and uses quiet quick movement, passing like a phantom. An opponent paying attention can easily parry it, but with Xiang's style, she can generally distract an opponent.
Bakudo #60, Enkeikousoku(Binding circle):
After chanting, the a spell is planted in the group that activates after being stepped on. It releases a light in a pillar upwards, immobilizing whatever stepped on it, similar to Geki, though several times stronger. Once cast, the ground glows once before disappearing.
Bakudo #65, Kōsatsu (Garrote)
Incantation: "Strings of fate gather, This is the decisive hour Strangle my foes"
Extremely thin wire is created by this bakudo, entangling an opponent, sharpening as they struggle. It is particularly strong around the throat, preventing speech
Bakudo #80, Kagesa(Shadow chain):

Iga, rise, hunt from the shadows, strike, seal, return to nothing.
An adaptation of Sabou Sabaku that forms chains from an opponents shadow, wrapping around them, binding them to their own shadow. This tends to be more effective against faster opponents.
Additional Description: Okami's spiritual form is as a raincloud.
Inner World & Spirit:
Okami's inner world is a series of perfectly lined white streets. It looks much like the Seireiti, except when examed, everything is perfectly aligned. The streets for a perfect square, and there is no break up in it. Everything is completely and utterly perfect and white
Zanpakuto Personality: Okami, despite the world, is gentle. She helps Xiang by being extremely supportive and kind. She wants her master to succeed, to have perfect justice. However, she can turn harsh if Xiang ever deviates. Okami wants her to reach her ideals, and is always trying to direct Xiang towards what she thinks they
Shikai
~"Bring Rain, Okami."~
Ability: A knife, Okami constantly drips a harsh caustic. When the caustic is dripped on an opponent, it slowly burns, getting worse and worse, eventually disabling limbs. As a caustic, it leeches into the skin before burning. Removing it is difficult.
Techniques
Ame: Xiang throws Okami in the air, causing it to rain down in a line its caustic acid.
Bankai
~"BANKAI...Kuraokami"~
Ability: The bankai becomes a set of sheathes on both of Xiang's sides. They constantly produce daggers pouring out caustic. This caustic evaporates into a purple gas that propels forward with great force. The amount that pours out the sheathes producing a small puddle under Xiang that evaporates constantly in a dancing cloud of smoke.
When Xiang throws the daggers, each one is propelled forward with massive force by the gas, shooting forward comparable to a Quincies Blut Arterie arrow. As Xiang hasn't mastered it, a single throw very likely will break her arm.
【Additional Appearance Info: Stands at 5’10 with him weighing roughly 163 pounds. Yūbina has a muscular body, yet not to absurd looking. He used to wear the traditional uniform but has ditched it for one he considers, better for combat. It looks to be a simple fancy looking tank top, yet also has that look that one would wear for combat. He also has two bracers on his arms, which are his shikai. So his Zanpakuto is always attached to him and allows for defense and quick shikai usage if needed.
【Biography: Born in 1516 Yūbina would never live to see the next year. Birthed on December 22nd, his parents decided they weren’t well off enough to care for him, so as they would eat he would go hungry. His cries would ring out inside the house for hours upon hours. It would transpire into the next day where a raspy crying voice would be heard, the body of the baby already looking bad. The crying would continue for a few more hours before it became silent. Yūbina had perished from no food, no water, and all because his parents had decided his life wasn’t worth it. His body would go to the Rukongai, where he would have died as well, if it wasn’t for this old male farmer taking him in, and deciding to raise him. If it was out of pity, or maybe to fill the emptiness in his life from his wife passing away, Yūbina would never find out. As he was only five years old at the time, a gang of ruffians would ransack the man’s farm killing the old man and turning Yūbina into their slave. With them effectively taking away the first person to show him any kindness, the man that named him.
For a good part of his life, he was nothing more than their punching bag. Getting them whatever they asked for and if he was slow on doing such? Then they would proceed to beat him for his “disrespect”. He had come to find out from other slaves that this group wasn’t just a band of ruffians but their own criminal empire. The worst part of his enslavement was when they gathered all the children who were ten and younger and pit them to kill each other and the last one standing would get to join their ranks. This is when Yūbina’s above average Reiatsu would surge, he didn’t want to kill yet when the others showed no hesitation in trying to kill him. Well his mind snapped and his Reiatsu would explode, what he did next was horrifying. It felt like he wasn’t in control of his body and yet would watch the terrified faces of the others as he bashed their faces in with his bare hands. He could hear the cheers and applause of the criminals with each kill etching into his mind that if he killed, if he hurt other he would be praised? Terrified at first of killing his mind slowly took a delight in it, and found himself laughing at murdering the others. When it came down to him and one other boy about eight years old, blood was literally the floor’s color with bodies lying everywhere to show the gruesome scene for was it was. It looked to be a scene out of a nightmare but by this point the criminals already decided who had won. As Yūbina was punching the boy on the ground with blood covering his hands, the criminals threw a knife down to them with one of them motioning for him to end it. Grabbing the knife with his left hand and raising the boy with his right by the hair, he would plunge the knife into the stomach with the crimson red liquid pouring out. Yet to please them he would rip open the stomach so all the boys guts would pour out in a gruesome matter earning cheers from the criminals. Dropping the deceased boy to the ground, he would start a new chapter in his life.
With his new position he would climb the ranks his own way, by beating those above him for it, that was the rules and he was more than game for them. The boss gave him whatever he wanted, food, drinks, women. Although the last part he cared little for, it was the food that kept him going, and yet no matter how much he ate he still felt empty inside. He ended up becoming the boss's right hand man at the young age of 18. The boss wanted something done he was the man, wanted a man dead? He was the man, and he shined the greatest when a rival criminal empire attacked. Instead of sending everyone at them he simply sent Yū, who after fighting them alone for five hours had killed over a hundred of them. He was trained in various different martial arts, adopting them all into his own style. He would continue to do his boss’s dirty jobs until one day he was tasked with taking out a group of shinigami, he was doing a good job too. Managing to down down a few until one woman was his next target, she was way above the weak rookies he was currently fighting. She awoke that thrill of fighting inside him, the thrill he hasn't felt in many many years of his life and despite his best effort she ended up beating him. Waiting for her to silence his life, the woman know as Kairi gave him a choice. Help her crush his gang and then go to Shin’o academy and become a shinigami, or die right now. Well that was an obvious choice to him, he would lead her back to the hideout and everyone inside would be defeated by the two. Honoring his end of the deal he went to the academy.
Like an outcast among them he cared little for their talking or their hanging out. He was honoring his end of the deal, and found himself doing poorly in a few classes. Zanjutsu he was pretty damn shit in, He was the type that would grab the blade and swing the hilt at you, only he would know which end the blade was and purposely grab it and hit you with the hilt. Kido while he probably could do if he wasn’t lazy, saw no fun in and thus failed most of those classes. Hakuda was the class he took most enjoyment in, being damn near the best and if he wasn’t he rose to being one of the best. Hoho also was pretty easy for him, since he had to be fast with what he did before. So several years of this and he came out a full fledged shinigami, making his way into Squad two, where the attitude of his was grabbed by the balls and ripped right off. Well to a degree, he stick retained it just to a degree, and color him surprised. The woman who conscripted him was part of the same division higher ranked than him, but it set up a new goal for him. Something to drive him, and that was to beat her in a duel one day. To show that he had grown stronger and surpassed her, yet for now she was a mere role model for him. The way she knocked heads around made him take notes.
He became the fourth seat with his Shikai being unlocked a seat below Kairi who was the current third seat, until she became the Lt after killing said Lt who betrayed them. She rose to Lt position and he rose to third seat only after the merciless way he sought out enemies and killed them, earning him the name Puredetā for how he sought how people to kill. Despite this though he would carry out his tasks to become stronger to one day have that thrilling fight with Kairi with no holding back. Yet as the years passed he felt nothing but boredom inside, no one in squad two was a challenge and Kairi and the captain far surpassed him. Then came the day a rebel faction attacked, they annihilated everyone, himself included. They beat him so badly that he went a bit berserk after they were kicked out. He used this wrath of his and ended up slaughtering hundred of hollows in the world of the living. This rage made his Zanpakuto very happy, hell it was the happiest she has been with him since she first spoke to him. After his rampage a grin formed on his face, the ones who took their home were tough, really tough. They would be great stepping stones for himself to get stronger. It was now his new goal as a predator to kill the man who beat him so badly. So to get a shot at this he joined the effort to reclaim their home.
【Personality: He was once a sweet child drove to enjoy killing and the thrill of the fight, which made him sound like a candidate for squad eleven than anything else. With him he is mainly a mass of anger who respects only the strong and those who can give him that thrill he looks forward to every time he fights. As such among his peers he is far from liked, hell despite his rank he knows they talk shit about him and he allows it. After all what can a meer sheep do to a lion? He respects only the strong and thus has few friends. He does have a small fanbase with some of the young female shinigami who consider him a role model of sorts, who occasionally give him tasty cookies. So he has a weakside to those who give him food as well. Yet for the most part he doesn’t really give a shit who you are. Only difference in his personality is when he gets that fun fight, his no fucks given attitude shifting to one of pure joy in a crazy sort of way.

【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
It isn't any complicated way at all, it's a pure hand to hand fighting style. Mixing in different styles of Martial arts which was taught to him by his kidnappers, to make him a effective and dangerous tool. As such he uses every part of his body to inflict damage upon you. His bizzare combat style isn't really impressive, but more so hard to predict with the predator like ways he stalks you and then attacks. Since this is his primary way of attacking, he knows where to strike when people start blocking to still sink in a tiny bit of damage
Impressive Reiryoku: 3/4 Fighting is all he knows, and is all he cares to know. His stamina is a thing to behold. Lasting once five hours non stop, and even then he didn’t show any signs of being tired. One must hope to beat him quickly before it become a drawn out battle and thus entering a battle of stamina. For he will not quit so easily.
Impressive Reiatsu: 3/4 To see this man coming is an ill omen for those unprepared for the fight about to ensue. He holds his ground for hours on end, and will do so if you don’t collapse first. He doesn’t know how to fall from exhaustion and if he does then he hasn’t hit his limit at all. So to sense him is an ill omen for those unprepared for him
Average Alignment: 2/4 He isn’t a huge fan of people, being egotistical in his own skills. He also remembers what everyone has done to him in life and doesn’t wish to get close to people only to get burned again.
Poor Zanjustu: 0/4 The fucks a sword?
Poor Offense: 0/4 The fuck is a sword???
Poor Defense: 0/4 THE FUCK IS A SWORD???
Average Resonance: 2/4 Well he is on nice terms with his spirit, their bond isn’t the greatest as she wishes for him to accept the anger and rage in his life, yet he chooses to ignore that an only fights to fight. Something she can agree with but if your all isn’t in the fight, then what’s the point even if you know you will win?
Legendary Hakuda: 5/4 Man fears man, but everyone fears this man’s prowess in Hakuda. Having been taught to beat the hell out of someone by multiple people, and with his impressive stamina speaks for itself. His power his speed makes anyone wary to engage him in hand to hand combat. For if he took it seriously, he could kill them in a matter of seconds. Yet unluckily for them he enjoys toying with his prey before snapping the neck.
Impressive Offense: 3/4 When you devote your life to Hakuda you tend to be really good at it, so good you can say you rival few captains in the art and could possibly beat them if the stipulation was Hakuda only.
Impressive Defense: 3/4 He knows how to block a punch and how to take a punch, His body has been beaten by people bigger than him for most of his life. Taking a hit hardly fazes him anymore, he has taken so many that just by some movement he knows where you intend to hit him and thus can be ready to block or counter it. Besides he can say he has been hit by Kairi and hasn’t turned into mush from the sheer power of her hits.
Impressive Physical: 3/4 Having no sword means nothing when your fist are lethal weapons in their own right. Capable of causing major damage with simple strikes which can be unleashed at any angle and faster than a sword if you have proper training. Some say being stabbed is painful, they obviously have yet to be punched by him yet.
Poor Kido: 0/4 Kido is gross and flashy
Poor Kido Power: 0/4 Who needs a giant ball of fire that will miss when his Shikai can do the same thing?
Average Perception: 2/4 He knows fairly well the body language mostly for hand to hand combat measures. As that is his expertise, as such he can predict fairly well what you may intend to do with Hakuda. Everything else though he will be wary and try to block, if you even attack. After all what the fuck is a sword?
Average Hoho: 2/4 You ever get kicked really fast you say “What the hell hit me?” Well that might be the case with this guy. You might see him coming, but odds are if you suck, you probably just got your head caved in.
Average Mobility: 2/4 If he wasn’t so battle driven he might be more agile and flexible, someone fitting for the second division. Yet while he is fast, he is more of a charge in first dodge later type.
Impressive Resilience: 3/4 See quote for witty reply.

Sealed State
"Be a zero, empty but full of potential."~
Additional Description: His sealed state is nothing to be awed upon. It is a pair of golden bracers on his forearms.
The Inner world is nothing special it’s high up in these massive trees with spider webs spread out perfectly to be the floor instead of air.
Zanpakuto Personality: She is a woman that is very mischievous, always trying to goad her wielder to embrace his inner anger and unleash it. Yet she does want the best for him, and for him to properly wield her during battles. Going all out with her to really make the enemy piss them self, yet he never goes all out unless they can fight back which bores her.
Shikai
"Let it consume you, so you can consume them, Chūkū ikari(中空怒り Hollow Rage)"~
Ability: His bracers become golden claw gauntlets, which amplify his power by a tiny bit, and also radiates heat, capable of burning people just by touch alone. The fire based attacks get stronger the more angry he is. A sign of this is when the heat radiating from the gauntlets becomes fire itself.
Techniques
Sukotchi: He sprays from his hands a flamethrower jet of fire. Capable of shooting out fifteen meters, and igniting most things on fire.
Generic Fireball: Forming a ball of fire in his palms, he launches them at the target and hopes they hit. Hot enough that you probably don’t want to be hit by fire.
Mokutan: Putting his palms together he lets forth a massive beam of blue fire about twelve feet tall and twenty feet wide. Its heat is capable of melting most objects, and to top it off while it is a straight shot, he can actually move his arms and keep firing for twenty seconds. Makes it a bit harder to dodge when he splits the beam and has two beams of blue fire trying to melt you.

【Additional Appearance Info:
Shizu is a woman who presents herself in the best ways she can. Her golden hair is braided every morning before she sets out for her rounds, before she sets out for her missions. Or anything of the sort. She takes on anything with fierce, yet soft azure eyes that speak of something dark, something tormented down to the foundation of her soul. Something about how she presents herself just gives off that vibe, even when she wears her usual shihakusho, which is unedited aside from the fact that in place of the white sash, she has a cornflower blue one in its place. Because of her average height, Shizu keeps her zanpakuto on her waist. It always rests on her right side on account of her being left-handed. Her body is lean with average muscle-to-bone ratios. Lastly, her skin is fair and flawless.
【Biography:
Shizu doesn’t remember much about her life as a human. She might’ve had a family or a couple of siblings. Who knows? She died rather early into her living life. She was probably five or so when she died. In the human realm, that would have been around 1604 or so. From then on, she spent most of her life in Rukongai. She spent most of her adolescent life with a good family. They weren’t rich nor were they poor. They treated her well enough as to not warrant any unhappiness. To be frank, Shizu, by all rights, had no right to complain. And she didn’t. Not about any of it.
But just because Shizu’s life was good, that didn’t mean that she herself wasn’t. To put it another way, Shizu was experiencing abnormalities from within her own self. Whether it was the cause of some exposure to unstable reiatsu or something else entirely wasn’t brought to her knowledge. But, on one horrible night, Shizu lost all that she held dear. It was as if in the matter of a moment, both of those who had raised her since she first arrived in the Seireitei, were gone. And the worst thing about it was that she didn’t how it happened. One minute she was holding her preteen head, begging for it to stop, and then — poof! They were gone.
And thus began her mental breakdown.
At that time, she was not yet trained to control her reiatsu, not yet able to dictate where it would surge and where it would be targeted. So, when she realized that she might just be the cause of the deaths of the couple that practically raised her, she lost it. Her reiatsu flowed uncontrolled, and erratically. It burst through the walls of her home, through the door, through the ceiling. It spread everywhere within a thirty-five meter circumference, destroying about ten buildings with over two dozen people in those homes. Most of them were criminals, but some of them were innocents. And that weighed on her soul. So much so that she fled the scene, never to look back. But she wouldn’t be on the run for long.
Some months after fleeing, someone tracked her down. It was somebody who looked to be a Shinigami. Shizu could recall that day. It was a tall man. His hair was golden like the sun and eyes green like emerald. He wasn’t the most tactful man she had ever meant at the time, but when he spoke to her, she found herself in absolute silence. He told her that he knew exactly who she was and what she had done, but that didn’t matter. What did matter was that they knew her and that she had incredible spiritual energy. So much so that they would like to personally invite her to join the Shi’no Academy. Or as most in Rukongai know it by, Shinigami Academy. As one might imagine, Shizu thought it was a joke or something. SOmeone like her, who had done the things she did, couldn’t possibly be important enough for such a prestigious academy like that. But, as this golden-haired Shinigami would inform her, she was, in fact, that damn important.
So, shizu went with him. She followed his lead to Shi’no Academy, and would work to hone her skills and hope to control the power within her.
Years passed and Shizu did just that. First was the entrance exam, whcih proved to be difficult on its own. Regardless, she passed it with above-average flying colors. After she was examined of what she excelled at and what she needed to work on, she had her placement tests. She did well in Zanjutsu and Hakuda, average in Hoho, but was below-average in Kido. Though, it was interesting for her instructors to find out that Shizu’s perception was high despite not having much talent for the act of kido itself(spells).
Skip forward about six years, and that’s where we have one graduate of Shi’no Academy, Shizukesa Dai Shinji. She traded in her Shi’no Academy shihakusho for her Shinigami variation. Not long after, she was placed in the fifth seat of Division 10. Somewhere down the line, she went through various promotions where she was appointed the lieutenant of Division Ten.
This was five years ago.
In the present, much like most of her peers and superiors, Shizu is in hiding of sorts in the Living World, unable to return to her home due to an invading group of unknown enemies. If there was just one thing she wished, it would to go back home. If only it were that easy..
【Personality:
Don’t let Shizu’s tendency to remain silent as a sign of weakness. As a woman, she isn’t intimidating, but she holds a certain presence that should speak for itself. Her shifting eye glances tend to speak volumes. She absorbs the facial expressions of others. She knows exactly what to look for. This is where her observant skills come into play. Shizu has incredible intuition. Whether it stems from extensive training or some innate ability, it's undeniable that it's one of her defining traits.
Instead of letting the other person talk, Shizu does it for them, often going on a rant about why they are a certain way, how they act, what they might think or say to her or about her. Some have noted that she uses this as a way to deter those who vye to get close to her. Or get past the wall she puts between herself and others. That is to say that she keeps people at an arm’s length. Something it’s intentional, and sometimes it’s bad habits resurfacing. Regardless, she does this a lot, and it tends to get on people’s nerves. Whoops.
When in meetings with her captain or any other superior, Shizu is, if nothing else, professional and concise. You will never meet a more efficient person when it comes to reporting for missions and giving the end-mission reports to whoever may be the squad leader of said mission. Her ability to remember every exact detail is the highest of all lieutenants. If not, then she will have to fix that, now won’t she?
【Notable Traits】
【Likes/Dislikes】
✔ Meditating ✔ Rainy/stormy weather; it’s good for Shizu to calm herself ✔ Sweet, spicy, and savory food. ✔ The scent of the air after it rains ✔ Rainbows ✔ The sounds of thunder pounding during a storm ✔ Living World TV Dramas ✔ Solidarity ✔ Various herbal teas and red wine ✔ The smell of cherry blossoms in the springtime

Shizu’s usage of Henka Arashi, which also happens to be the name most within the Gotei 13 knew her as, has been regarded as a dangerous style of fighting. For her, it’s always been a bit chaotic rather than orderly. Her swings are strong, her form is nearly perfect, but her reiatsu is an untamed beast, a storm that has yet to reach its climax. When she strikes, it erratically releases one of three types of reiatsu: hot/cold air, lightning, and ice . Each time is strongest to weakest. Additionally, they are also listed from most controlled to least controlled. They also coincide with her mental state. Mild anger/depression would result in a hot/cold air-based reiatsu swing. Erratic behavior would result in a lightning reiatsu swing. And lastly, should her mood be out of whack, a blast of cold, unrelenting ice is imminent.
Vast Reiryoku: 4/4

Zanjutsu Grandmaster: 4/4
Incredible Offense:4/4
Impressive Defense:3/4
Impressive Resonance: 3/4
Hakuda Expert: 2/4
Average Offense: 2/4
Unremarkable Defense: 1/4
Unremarkable Physical Strength:1/4
Kidō Practitioner : 1/4 As a Kido Practitioner, Shizu has a basic understanding of kido spells and how they work. She can use the low-tier to mid-level kido spells without an incantation(up to #25 in both Hado and Bakudo). When it comes to the spells within fifteen higher, she requires an incantation. After #45 of any Kido spell, she is unable to use them with complete mastery. She's working at it, though.
Unremarkable Kido Power: 1/4
While she possesses basic kido knowledge, what Shizu doesn't possess, however, is basic or average kido power. She flunked that sub-class. Her kido power is as strong as maybe a medium-level cero. Capable of doing some damage, but nothing to brag about.
Impressive Perception:3/4
Where she lacks in power, Shizu more than makes up for it in perception. Indeed she is one who is aware of her surroundings, more than most would.
Hohō Practitioner: 1/5 When it came to learning Hoho in Shi'no Academy, Shizu didn't excel at it as much as those in her class did. That isn't to say that she's completely useless in it. She has proven to be capable at the average of levels. Just don't expect her to leap several leagues in a several bound. Who does she look like to you? Kara Danvers?
Average Mobility:2/5 Shizu has an average response time, average physical speed, and average flexibility. Her reaction time is decent for someone who hasn't really trained in this area. don't expect her to be able to dodge at light speed. Or travel at that speed. Or be able to bend her body in unnatural ways. But you can expect her to be able to dodge attacks of normal speed. Average Resilience2/5 Shizu is one stubborn woman. well, sometimes she is. She's a lieutenent-level shinigami. As such, she has a certain amount of dexterity and endurance. She can hold her own for a while. But should someone of higher level come at her for long periods of time, don't expect her reserves to last longer than what are expected of them.
【Specialization】
Henka Arashi(変化嵐 Changing Tempest Zanjutsu+3; Reiryoku 3+) Henka Arashi is a fighting style that is as much reiryoku-based as it is zanjutsu-based. It revolves around simultaneous implementation of one’s spiritual power as well as pressure into a strike of one’s zanpakuto. Effects and shape of each strike,w hether vertical, horizontal or dagnoal(or a combo of all three), it depends on the user’s intent. Form must be perfect. And added to that, an equal balance of chaos and order is required. This fighting style is one to be reckoned with because, much like its name tells you, it’s a shifting, changing storm that is as unpredictable as its sole user: Shizu Dai Sanji.
【Zanpakuto】
Sealed State
~"I am just the calm before the storm."~
Additional Description:
In her sealed state, Kakegoe takes the form of an ordinary katana. Her hilt is blue and dim grey, meanwhile her sheath, though of blue shade, has a darker tone of grey akin to storm clouds. She has a square handguard, and her blade is chrome silver, and curves slightly at the tip. She’s usually kept around the hip of Shizu due to the latter’s average height.
Kakegoe’s inner-world is a frozen tundra that is cursed by a continuous storm that alternates between extreme, high-pressured winds, explosive, random lightning storms, hail that comes down at nearly fifty miles-per-hour, rain that is enough to drown a collosus in seconds, and near-absolute zero temperatures. Alternatively, there could be an absence of all of the aforementioned weather conditions due to the intense heat. It’s all dependent on two factors. Number one, the state of mind of Kakegoe herself, and number two, Shizu’s emotional state. If she is angry, it will be like the inside of a volcano. If she’s feeling depressed, it’ll be colder than the arctic.
The clouds are either pure white from the icy winds or black as obsidian from the storms, or they could be red-hot from the blazing, fiery anger that either Kakegoe or Shizu - or both - feel.
Kakegoe is a beautiful zanpakuto spirit. She has skin like caramel and hair like snow. A body with curves in right places. Her eyes are also something of perfection. They glow, always, with a deep blue color. She usually wears a a bra and underwear outfit due to the fact that she prefers not to hide her features. She does not, however, fancy shoes. Her voice is sultry and often noted by Shizu as being just a bit too suggestive.
Zanpakuto Personality:
To describe Kakegoe would be to describe a storm. She is relentless about certain things. She is unpredictable. She is comforting. She is understanding. She is unforgiving. But above all things, Kakegoe is a bitch. Yes, you read correct. Shizu cannot express enough how much she wants to hate Kakegoe. This is not to say she is without her ups, but the fact that she has flat out denied Shizu the option to learn bankai without a single reason given aside from “because I said so, that’s why,” was enough reason for Shizu to have the preconception that her zanpakuto is one grade-A bitch.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth.
It’s not that Kakegoe is difficult. She might be according to Shizu, but the fact of the matter is that she fears for Shizu. As hard as it might be for her to believe, Kakegoe knows what enduring Bankai would do to her. The fact that Shizu hasn’t even mastered the final ability of Shikai is proof enough. She admires Shizu’s will to get stronger, but out of respect for her, Kakegoe had to deny her in the harshest of ways. Regardless if it created a rift between them. But one day, Kakegoe knows that Shizu will be ready. When that day comes, Kakegoe will fully embrace her desire to learn bankai.
Shikai
~"Expunge, Kakegoe(掛け声 'Squall')"~
Kakegoe’s form does not change dramatically from her sealed state upon release. The only notable change is that it becomes surrounded by a thick layer of stormy reiatsu that have three aspects to it: the first is it generates a small, continuous breeze within a half-meter distance away from it. The second is that the air in that same circumference is as if an icy wind has passed. And the final is that it sounds like crackling lightning. All three aspects, when she is swung, Kakegoe will demonstrate(see techniques for more details.)
Ability: Thought originally to be an ice-based zanpakuto, recent reveals show that Kakegoe is, in fact much more than that. Much like her namesake, Kakegoe is a squall. Her main ability is known as Kakegoegyo(Squall Line). It is the point of a squall where thunderstorms and cold fronts and high-speed gusts of wind are a definite possibility. It is the point where, during active weather, regardless if it’s natural or artificial, Kakegoe’s ability lies. With her at Shizu’s disposal, the latter can manipulate her reiatsu to either manipulate existing storm clouds in the surrounding area or send her reiatsu into the air to drop the temperature drastically, and cause a progressing storm to happen
Techniques
Kazakiri(剪断Wind Shear): Kazakiri is the first of techniques that Shizu learned from Kakegoe. It’s also the most basic of techniques she knows. Either by motioning Kakegoe horizontally or vertically, it will send invisible reiatsu flying outward that will manipulate the atmosphere to cause an increase of wind speed. Regardless if she motions Kakegoe vertically or horizontally, it will have the same effect: A right angle-shaped arc of lightning and high wind currents will begin to form in a 3m area. Within that area, random strikes of lightning are bound to happen to any and all in that area of effect. Those outside are still suspect to minor shock and/or wind damage. Additionally, minor wind blades will form after a certain amount of time has passed. It should be noted that this technique, while able to be used at any given moment, is definitely her weakest of abiltiies. As such, it should be expected that the max amount of damage one takes is not equal to that of a lieutenent-level attack.
Jōshō Kiryū(上昇気流Rising Air Current):. By utilizing the clouds above, Shizu is able to manipulate it with her reiatsu to cause a vertical updraft of hot or cool air down upon a target of her choosing. Since it’s more controlled than Kazakiri, she can dictate who or what she motions Kakegoe to strike. When she swings upward, the hot and cold air is gathered, and surrounds Shizu, flowing down around the blue aura of Kakegoe. Shizu knows when the preparation is complete by when she gets a feeling of both stress and comfort.
Kakō kiryū (下降気流Descending Air Current): When Shizu swings downward, the hot and cold air gathered around Kakegoe releases in an arc of semi-transparent reiatsu that is half-light blue, half-crimson. The arc aims at whoever is in the direct line of sight of Kakegoe’s tip. Upon contact, there will be a two-part effect. The first will be a strong sensation of heat flowing through their body, momentarily rendering them immobilized by it, then comes the chill. The shift from hot to cold happens in a matter of seconds. Due to that, it will have disastrous effects on whoever is struck.
Throughout all of this, there is one underlying limit to how strong the sensations of heat and cold are: Shizu’s one mental state at the time of using this technique. Assuming she is even and completely calm, the effects will be at half-strength of maximum potency. That, of course, would only give half as much the feverish sensation as it would the cold chill. Now, given that Shizu is in a melancholy state, the hot air will have little to no effect on the target, but the cold chill is another story. The same could be said if she was in a vivid rage. The hot air, much like fire, is of passion. And when she would be passionate with anger, the hot air will be at maximum potency, while the cold air will be as if a mild gust of icy wind past through - felt, but easily shrugged off.
Despite that all, however, whether there is maximum hot air potency or cold air, it will be for nothing if Shizu could bring herself to utilizing it at full power. For her to this, she must be willing to yield herself to Kakegoe’s will, something, even as her master, she hasn’t been able to do for quite some time. Not since the coup happened.
Hiyazemen(冷前面Cold Front): Considered to be Kakegoe’s most powerful - and most dangeorus - shikai ability, Hiyazemen is aa technique in which requires Shizu to focus her reiryoku into the atmosphere surrounding her, and dropping the temperature to below freezing temperatures(0 degrees Celsius, 32 Degrees Fahrenheit). Once this is accomplished, pure white mist flows from the hilt and up of Kakegoe’s blade at high speeds, and surrounds the surrounding environment in a 3m-6m radius with Shizu at the very edge of it and her intended target at the center. Then, as Shizu stabs Kakegoe into the ground, her reiatsu is felt as the mist starts to solidify around both Shizu and her target. It gets to the point where they are both inside a dome of ice, reinforced by Shizu’s own spiritual power.
Once secured, Shzu will then raise Kakegoe into the air, letting Kakegoe herself float into the air, and spin around until the sight of her blade is nothing but a rotating, blade of blue reiatsu. As Kakegoe increases the velocity of her spinning, icy winds stard to develop, gathering around her. By Shizu’s command, a mini-tornado, blue and white in color, appears with Kakegoe in the dead center. It’s not a tall tornado; it’s as high as Shizu stands. When Shizu places her hand forward, the tornado unleashes a series of freezing gusts of air, continuous and ever-flowing.
It should be noted it’s in the incomplete phases. Shizu has not fully mastered it. As such, using it, while it may have negative effects for whoever is caught within its radius, will have the worst effects done directly to Shizu. Among the obvious lack of control she would have over it, it will undoubtedly deplete her reiryoku drastically, not to mention that frostbite is an unavoidable side effect too. Additionally, due to lack of mastery, the maximum power at which Hiyazeman can be utilized is ten percent shy of half-maximum power. The longer the dome remains in effect and the more gusts of cold air is shot at her target, the frostbite will start to increase until the point focus cannot remain. Should Shizu lose more than half of her focus, or if Kakegoe suspects it’s too much for her, she will cut off the technique immediately, and return to her sealed form.
【Additional Appearance Info: Despite his constant habit of slouching, Jinzo stands tall at 5'10". He weighs in at 169lbs (76kg) and sports an average physique. He comes off as scruffy, leaving his black hair messy and unkempt (although he prefers the term 'windswept'). He views the world through dull grey eyes, which often tends to reflect his actual view on things. His skin is pale and soft due to the extended amounts of time he spends sleeping under any form of shade.
His fashion sense is just as scruffy as the rest of him. Preferring to opt for baggy, pyjama-like wear rather than form-fitting combat clothing. He is forced to at least wear some leather armour by his Captain but it isn't something he enjoys or feels comfortable in. The one item of clothing he almost always wears is his blue jacket, often going to extreme lengths to protect it from dirt or damage.
He keeps his Zanpakuto slung across his back through the use of a ribbon that he tied to each end of the sheath. He wears it like this because he hates the way it knocks against his leg as he walks and also because it's easier to remove it for when he wants to lay down. He also keeps on his person a small carving knife that he uses rarely to exercise his talent at woodcarving. He likes to keep his carvings a secret since they, more-often-than-not, end up being nude women in various promiscuous poses.

WIPWIPWIPWIPWIP
(For all intents and purposes, here's a shortened summary)
Jinzo Kurogama. Born into the head branch of the Noble Kurogama Clan. Lived most of his early life as a silver-spoon-fed momma's-boy until she was raped and murdered, whilst his father and his entourage were away on business, by a notorious criminal (INSERT NAME HERE), who was known for breaking into wealthy estates to commit these atrocities at the time. It was during (INSERT NAME HERE)'s second visit to repeat his vile act upon his younger sister, that Jinzo took up a decorative ancestral sword of the Kurogama clan to slay the heinous criminal before he could commit his terrible crime once again. At only the young age of 6, this was Jinzo first prodigal display of Zanjutsu.
Fast-forward a bit to the Shino Academy Graduation. Jinzo barely graduates by the skin of his teeth, reason being that he finished the highest in his class at Zanjutsu, with a score not seen or equaled for centuries prior. Also, given his father's status as Head of the Kurogama Clan, strings were pulled to land him a 3rd seat position in the 11th Division.
Skip summore time. 12th Division Captain; Zume Tatasuko acknowledges Jinzo's Shikai ability, accepting him as a student of Reiheika. Jinzo develops Hiso Inekari, one of the first few legitimate Reiheika techniques. Zume recommends Jinzo for the recently vacated 11th Division Lieutenant position, despite him being a 3rd Seat. Jinzo challenges the 2nd Seat for the right to be considered and wins, successfully securing the Lieutenant position.
Five years before current time. Jinzo genuinely sleeps through the invasion of the Soul Society and wakes up having been exiled to the Human World. He titles himself the only Undefeated Member of the Gotei 13.
WIPWIPWIPWIPWIP
【Personality: When polled about who the laziest member of the Gotei 13 was, Jinzo came in at number one. He's also up there with being the most perverted but his need for sleep oftentimes gets in the way of his more salacious thoughts. His indolence stems from his natural talent in Zanjutsu, which remains one of the many reasons why he was the 11th Division's Lieutenant for so long. He didn't relish the position of power he'd been given but he understood that it was the perfect place for a man like himself, where he could easily delegate menial tasks to the lower seats without much effort involved. He is well known to shirk responsibility in favour of goofing off but he refused to give up his position due to the easy lifestyle it afforded him. Due to this, Jinzo can be seen as very self-serving or selfish, though he doesn't intend it maliciously. Where others might go out of their way to serve their own agendas, Jinzo simply prefers not to be lumbered with too much responsibility.
Generally, Jinzo is seen as a tranquil man but he has been known to show mild states of anger. Nothing quite comparable to his Captain, but it remains a sight to behold due to how rarely he ever gets mad. During these less-than-infrequent states, Jinzo can become quite sadistic. He also becomes far more focused, his intent usually being to destroy the thing that is preventing him from continuing his easy lifestyle. He isn't fond of himself when he's angry often stating that he uses far more energy than necessary, despite the fact that he actually becomes more efficient with his Zanjutsu. When it comes to women, Jinzo isn't much of a ladies' man. Although he'd sometimes like to be, he simply doesn't have the patience to put in the amount of effort required to be one. It is because of this that he is seen to be more of a closeted pervert, often sating his lust through the carving of wooden female figurines and smut magazines rather than actually talking to girls.
In more recent times, Jinzo has grown more and more insolent toward others. His rude remarks often paint him in a bad light, though he assures people he only means them in jest. With regards to the current situation of the Gotei 13, Jinzo feels as if he should just go with the flow until things pan out eventually. He harbours a small amount of regret for not doing more when he could have, but only because he has lost his easy lifestyle within the Seireitei. He also would never reveal this feeling of regret to anyone.

【Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
Great Reiryoku(2/4): Jinzo's Reiryoku isn't what you'd consider special in any way. In fact it leans more towards the mediocre side. However, that has never deterred him or forced him to shy away during battle, mostly because of his reliance on the abilities of his Shikai which allows him to drain the Reiatsu of others. As such, Jinzo will often fight using the Reiatsu he's drained first. Only during particular lengthy bouts, will he then be forced to draw on his own Reiryoku reserves. His Reiryoku, displayed upon activation of his Shikai, can be seen in Lime Green.
Incredible Reiatsu(4/4): Despite his less-than-impressive Reiryoku, Jinzo possesses exemplary skill in Reiatsu control. This is, in part, due to the nature of his Shikai which drains Reiatsu directly and allows the Lieutenant to utilize it for himself. He is well-known for streamlining his Reiatsu during a fight, making his use of Reiatsu one of the most efficient and exceptional amongst the Old Gotei 13. This affords him the ability to perform enhanced strikes and techniques at an extremely proficient level without wasting too much Reiatsu.
Average Alignment(2/4): Jinzo is very aware of his flaws and faults. Only they don't pose so much as a problem for him as they might others, however, due to his indolent personality. So whilst he acknowledges that he could certainly improve in some areas, his willingness to want to change those areas is certainly lackluster.
Zanjutsu Legend(5/4): A natural-born prodigy. Jinzo's Zanjutsu isn't something he's ever really had to try hard to improve upon, although, his time spent as Lieutenant of the 11th Division has certainly propelled his skill level toward that of a Legendary status. As is fitting for a member of the 11th, Jinzo's Zanjutsu capabilities are repeatedly applauded by other members of the Old Gotei 13, some even going so far as to say that a few of the Captains would even struggle against his well-noted prowess in this area.
Legendary Offense(5/4): When it comes to offense, Jinzo's ability is harrowing to say the least. Not due to sheer strength or speed, but simply his efficiency. Granted, he uses speed and strength to some degree but they remain slaves to his timing and precision. Both of which stand proudly atop all his other attributes where offense is concerned. Whether he is pressing the attack or waiting to counter, Jinzo knows the exact moment to strike and precisely where each strike will land, regardless of what his opponent is doing. A supporting factor of this is his stark unpredictability, he never allows himself to settle into a rhythm for too long but just long enough to lull his opponents into a false sense of security, before he strikes, rendering them either too shocked to respond or attempting to defend with a poorly prepared block. Overall, Jinzo's offensive abilities can seem overwhelming but at the same time exploitative. There aren't many who can withstand his onslaught when he decides to go on the attack.
Incredible Defense(4/4): If you thought his offense was impressive, then be warned that Jinzo's defense-game isn't something to sniff at either. Throughout his many years using Zanjutsu, there aren't many attacks he would have come across that he didn't know how to defend against. Coupled with his Legendary Mobility and Impressive Perception, there isn't much in the way of offense that Jinzo can't deal with, especially where sword-fighting is concerned. Take note, crossing blades with Jinzo Kurogama requires more than just the willingness to die, because when it comes to Zanjutsu, he is always at least 3 moves ahead.
Average Resonance(2/4): Whilst his use of a Zanpakuto is a spectacle to behold, the actual bond with his sword leaves a lot to be desired. And although he has managed to retain his ability to perform Shikai, he is far from mastering it. This is due to their completely contrasting personalities. What little interaction they do have with each other has only managed to leave a rift between them. Jinzo sees this only as a problem that would take far too much effort to resolve.
Untrained Hakuda(0/4): Jinzo has shown no interest in Hakuda, due to it being an inefficient and labor-some method of killing.
Poor Offense(0/4): Nah.
Poor Defense(0/4): Nah again.
Incredible Physical Strength(4/4): Having trained in Zanjutsu for his entire tenure as a Shinigami, Jinzo has amassed an exceptional level of Physical Strength. He uses this strength to enhance the power of his Zanpakuto, being able to slice through flesh and bone with ease along with other, more durable materials such as rocks and metals. When pitted against other fighters, however, the Lieutenant tends to hold back on the use of his strength in favour of precision.
Untrained Kidō(0/4): Merely the thought of trying to remember each Kido Incantation wears Jinzo out.
Poor Kido Power(0/4): No Kido training = No power put into Kido. Duh.
Impressive Perception(3/4): For a guy with one eye, you'd think he'd have trouble seeing things. Well that's where you'd be wrong. Despite lacking a secondary ocular organ, Jinzo manages to see just as well as anyone else does. In fact, in some cases, he is able to perceive things better than those without the hindrance of a missing eye. Oftentimes, these cases tend to be during combat. Though this is mostly due to his extensive experience in Zanjutsu and that he's been alive longer with only one eye than when when he had two.
Hohō Grandmaster(4/4): Although probably not the most proficient Shunpo practitioner, Jinzo is still considered to be at a Grandmaster level. His speed should be well regarded, especially due to his fighting style which, when coupled with his insane level of Shunpo, could easily end a fight in mere moments. It should also be noted that, during combat, the 11th Squad Lieutenant prefers not to rely solely on speed to win the day. Instead he utilizes it as part of a bigger collective, one that requires a highly proficient level of Hohō to be the first to gain higher ground, force an opening through a rapid change of position and, finally, executing those last moment evasive maneuvers in order to score a killing blow.
Legendary Mobility(5/4): As an advocate of combative efficiency, Jinzo's mobility is finely tuned. His bodily control is at such a pinnacle, that it's almost impossible to spot any waste in his movements. This affords him to be able to perform maneuvers on a level that only a few others can reach. Whilst he tends to shy away from more acrobatic displays, he utilizes his legendary athleticism to perform normal combat feats but at their absolute peak.
Average Resilience(2/4): Jinzo's Average Resilience highly reflects his current level of Reiryoku, it's low considering his station. Although, he bolsters through his defensive prowess and mobility. In his mind, not getting hit is infinitely better than being able to take a hit. Whenever he does get hit, however, Jinzo is forced to utilize his Reiatsu to make up the difference, at least until he can regain control of the situation.
Upon achieving the level of Shikai, Jinzo was noted for his ability to drain reiatsu by a very important man within the Gotei 13. Captain of the 12th Division: Zume Tatasuko. It is he who selected Jinzo to become one of the few shinigami to enter the study of Reiheika. In essence, this skill is one in which a shinigami condenses, focuses, and controls their own reiatsu, forming it into an invisible tool. How this works is; rather than merely exerting reiatsu, the user focuses it into useful shapes and then projects them outwards from their person. It is through the study of this cutting edge science, that Jinzo was able to develop his first and only Shikai Technique: Hiso Inekari. At full mastery, Reiheika can be used in more exceptional ways, allowing the user to lift and manipulate objects—and sometimes even people—as if they were using their own two hands.

Sealed State
~"Release me unto your world and I shall drink it dry!"~
Inner World Jinzo's Inner World is one of desolation. It is a reflection on the poor relationship shared between him and his zanpakuto: Tamashī Shūkaku. The most prominent feature of his Inner World is a twisted tree formed entirely of bones. This is where Shūkaku usually resides whenever Jinzo visits. There is no sun or wind in this world which only enhances the stench of death that hangs about the place. It is complemented with many various green flames dotted all around to illuminate the world. All of this makes Jinzo very uneasy about his Inner World and he generally loathes having to go there.
Spirit
Zanpakuto Personality: Tamashī Shūkaku can mainly be seen as bloodthirsty being. Although he prefers Reiatsu over the blood of his enemies. It is due to his unquenchable thirst for reiatsu that his only wish is for Jinzo to keep fighting, a wish that often goes unwarranted due to his master's incredibly lazy nature. Because of this, Tamashī Shūkaku is seen to be irritable most of the time unless Jinzo is fighting. Even then, however, things aren't always as good as they can be. He loathes the fact that Jinzo always tries to rush his fights. He much prefers a long, drawn-out fight so that he may drink from his enemies for longer periods. It is due to a combination of Jinzo's laziness and his constant thirst for reiatsu that he has become callous towards even his allies. So much so that his Passive State also affects his friends.
Ability: Tamashī Shūkaku's ability works in two states.
Passive State:Hofuku Mugon | 匍匐 無言 | Creeping Silence - Tamashī Shūkaku's passive state slowly drains the reiatsu of any being within a 30m radius from Jinzo's position. The amount of reiatsu drained is relatively small but constant, however, Jinzo would not be able to rely solely on this ability to keep his own Reiatsu levels up during battle. The amount he exerts during a fight far exceeds the amount that could be regained from just depending on this passive state. As such, Jinzo prefers to utilize it offensively, rather than defensively, by using his mobility to keep his opponents within its' radius in order to drain his enemies faster and end the battle. (Note: This also affects allies!)
Active State:Damaru Kōgeki | 黙る攻撃 | Silent Strike - Tamashī Shūkaku's active state works whenever it lands a hit on Jinzo's opponent, clashes with another zanpakuto or is used to block projectile attacks formed of reiatsu. During any of these three occurrences, Tamashī Shūkaku drains anywhere from 10-15% of an opponent's reiatsu (exerted power, not stored power). The amount varies per hit and scales relative to the amount of reiatsu being exerted at the time.
Techniques
Hiso Inekari | 秘所 稲刈り | Hidden Reaping - Utilizing either his own reiatsu or the reiatsu drained from his enemies, Jinzo can condense reiatsu to create a massive, invisible scythe that follows the movements of his own scythe with a slightly delayed response (2 seconds). This invisible scythe can cut through anything a normal blade would but can also be enhanced with higher amounts of reiatsu to cut through more durable materials. Whilst this technique remains invisible to Jinzo's enemies, the scythe can be detected by those who are able to sense reiatsu to a decent level. Naturally, the higher the amount of reiatsu that has been injected into the technique, the easier it is to detect and avoid. At a basic level, Hiso Inekari uses a high amount of reiatsu to perform, meaning that Jinzo cannot use it for extended periods of time.

【Additional Appearance Info: Standing at six foot one and weighing in at a hundred and seventy three pounds, Hiro possesses a well defined musculature and an athletic built. His eyes which generally appear to be light brown, are tinted with a hue of red. The likes of which only shows when his irises are hit by moonlight or a light of similar spectral consistency. He has a tri-pronged vertical scar upon his left cheek running over his eye; received by "Blue" during the Battle of Milford Sound, moderate length brown hair, and ears that are slightly pointed at their tips. A second 'X' shaped scar also covers the entirety of both the front and rear of his upper torso. Masumata wears a custom captain's haori over his shihakusho. Said haori is high collared with red trimming, primarily white with a red interior, and extends in length to his shins. An ornate golden clasp sits before his chest, which keeps it fastened upon his frame. His shihakusho is comprised of the standard white shitagi, black kosode, and black hakama, albeit with purple sash tied about the waist of his hakama. Hiro wears a pair of black tabi socks beneath his white waraji sandals.
However, Hiro's most definitive feature is the truculent expression often worn upon his face. As it is said that he is capable of commanding complete obedience with a single steadfast gaze. Due to this, many of Seireitei's residents refer to this as 'the Akagan' or 'Eyes of Blight'. Thus fear they would die if met with it - although there is no evidence to suggest this to be true. Additionally, Hiro wears an small silver medallion which bears the symbol of the Masumata Clan upon it. It is kept hidden within a breast pocket beneath his clothing, and is a key to the Masumata Clan grounds.
【Biography: Hiro's story begins at the end of his father's. Takeru Enoki. Warrior, Commander, Cannibal - Takeru was known throughout Sereitei as the 'Savior King' during his time amongst the living. A reference to the fact that he claimed to be 'saving' each person he killed, by consuming them. Either before or after said death. Having been born to a Rukongai working girl, Takeru had never met the man from whom his seed had grown. As a result of the life his mother led, Takeru inevitably grew to be a troubled child, excessively angry and frustrated with his accursed world. However, it was only after he and his mother had one day been attacked by several of her clients, that his anger at last turned to rage. As he was beaten and forced to watch as they raped then brutally murdered her. Although it remains unknown as to how he managed to survive the incident, for a time Takeru was believed to be dead.
When he finally did resurface in Rukongai, Takeru was in his late teens. As well as the leader of a local gang. The Akateko, named for their fondness of marking their territory by hanging the limbs of their victims from nearby ledges and trees. It was during this time that Takeru first resorted to cannibalism, as he hunted down and ate alive every man who had killed his mother. Publicly and grotesquely. Claiming that the scythe - as was his weapon of choice at the time- was too good for them. With his revenge exacted, Takeru then turned his eyes towards conquering the entirety of Rukongai. It was during his five-year rampage that he became the 'Savior King'. Rukongai's most notorious criminal at the time. Wanted for hundreds of thefts, murders, and rapes. The last two usually at once.
It was during Takeru's final act of said brutality that Hiro was conceived. His mother, a rookie Shinigami named Arisu Tokiwa, was cornered by the Akateko during a routine patrol in the seventy-third district of South Rukongai. While her unit was able to defeat most of the attacking gangsters, She soon found herself in a state of panic as Takeru single-handedly cut down what was left of her unit. However, it wasn't until he began to publicly defile her atop of their corpses, that she began to slip into insanity. Driven beyond her braking point as he simultaneously feasted on her flesh, and deflowered her while still covered in her comrades' blood. Her sister's blood. He had pushed her to the brink of death when it came to an abrupt end. Arisu could only watch in shock as a Zanpakuto severed Takeru's head. Causing the man to collapse onto her frame.
Despite being a third seat of Rokubantai, the Sixth Division, Genjeiru Masumata had vomited. Disgusted by the sight he faced after he had saved Arisu. The sight of her laying, mutilated and broken, having been engraved within his mind. Scarring it for life whilst instilling within him a sadness for her that would forever change his life. It was this feeling of pity that moved him to volunteer to be her caregiver in the time following her 'attack'. It wasn't until she had physically recovered that they became aware of her pregnancy. After it was already far to late.
As a noble, and head of his clan, Genjeiru faced a magnitude of ridicule for his decision to care for the young shinigami. Particularly from his wife. Whose envy grew in intensity with each passing day. Her concern that he would chose his pregnant, fragile, concubine, over his sterile wife, nigh driving her to insanity. So much so, that she eventually began to poison the medication Arisu regularly required. Preventing her body and mind alike to ever recover from the trauma they had endured. Even so, Kiri could not keep her husband from falling in love with his broken damsel. Thus, in time she conceded to the will his heart, albeit without ceasing to poison his new mate. However, it would be the birth of her grotesquely conceived child that would cause the clan be split into two.
Weakened and still mentally unstable, Arisu was never expected to be able to successfully give birth. Still, despite the odds, the young shinigami managed to do so. At the expense at her life. Her final act being to write the desired name of her newborn child, whom she named Rein Tokiwa. Incidentally, it was now that those opposed to nurturing her offspring made their first move. Attempting to put the child to death with its mother, considering who the father was. In order to prevent this and appease the Clan elders, Genjeiru bargained to change to child's name and raise him as his own in order to secure is own heir to the Clan. After much debate and many promises on Genjeiru's part, he was permitted to keep the child of the woman whom he had come to love.
Having nearly become an orphan following his mother's death, Hiro was officially adopted into the Masumata family at age three. Thus, as Hiro Masumata, grew up in the Masumata mansion in Seireitei. Despite the hatred veered towards him by many members of the clan, being the only child of Kiri and Genjeiru Masumata, Hiro's youth was consumed by countless hours of training. An attempt by Genjeiru to prepare his son for the day he would become the head of the Clan. As a result, Hiro was home schooled and never attended the Shino academy.
In youth there was only ever two people in the clan whom Hiro could whole-heartedly trust, excluding his adoptive father. His cousins, Kyohei Masumata, and Shizuka Tsukikage. While this trust, by affiliation, extended to Myoubu Ichimonji - Kyohei's childhood sweetheart- as well, continual hiccups in the relationship of the two had kept Hiro at bay. Despite this, the four eventually grew to be nearly inseparable with time. So much so that they would even train together. Something which benefited Hiro greatly considering that Myoubu was the lieutenant of the Fifth Division. It would be this training that would save his life.
Hiro got his first taste of real battle approximately four-hundred years ago. A small group of traitorous clan members attempted to assassinate the his family. Although he and Kyohei were able to fend off and even kill a few of the attackers, it was his adoptive father who ultimately drove them back. Albeit at the expense of his life. Leaving a widowed Kiri in command of the small yet wealthy clan. However, it was soon revealed by Myoubu that Kiri had been the architect behind the attack. As the former had overheard Kiri planning a second assault in order to assassinate Hiro once and for all. However, when Myoubu approached Kyohei with the matter, and the couple approached Kiri, she ruthlessly slaughtered Myoubu. At which point she was killed by Kyohei. He then told the others that Myoubu and himself had struck first, and had been stopped by Hiro. While this restored the clan's faith in Hiro as heir, Kyohei was executed. Leaving the fate of the Masumata Clan in young Hiro's hands.
It was would be shortly after this, that Hiro would finally fall in love. Having been approached by Heideiki Kawagana with a proposal to unify their two clans, Hiro had become his daughter's betrothed. However, tragedy struck when circumstances led to the death of both Heideiki and his only son. Leaving Arina standing as the heir to the Kawagana Clan. Sympathizing, Hiro agreed to take things slow. Thus, spent the next century devoting himself strictly to her. Eventually falling in love with her. However, the two would enevitably seperate. Causing Hiro to experience his first heartbreak. Still, because she had done so in order to keep her clan from being absorbed, as far as he knew, Hiro never held it against her. Only regretting that things never quite worked out.
Approx. Two-hundred and sixty-five years ago, Hiro then fell in love with a shinigami by the name of Ai Tashimoto, who was a commoner from Rukongai. Five years later, when she had graduated from the Shino Academy, Hiro proposed to Ai. Whom agreed to marry him. Incidentally, fate was not so kind. For the shingami was shortly after killed by an Adjuchas level hollow during her first deployment. Naturally, Hiro soon fell into a bout of depression - which manifested in the form of a quickened temper. Noticing his distress, Shizuka began to devote all of her attention to appeasing Hiro's rage. Worried that, if left unchecked, he would one day be consumed by it, she had even gone as far as to transfer into his division. However, it was only after Hiro had nearly cut down a subordinate whom had spoken ill of the recently deceased, that the duo subsequently vanished for some time.
Believing Hiro to have kidnapped Shizuka, Nagai, Shizuka's brother, convinced her father Junta to take immediate action to prevent 'further tainting of the Masumata bloodline'. However, lacking sufficient proof of his crime, the two were unable to obtain the aid of the Gotei Thirteen. As a result, they instead turned to outside forces. Enlisting Akateko mercenaries to kill Hiro, and 'rescue' Shizuka. Thus, it was upon Hiro's return that things went awry. Although the thugs attacked Hiro as previously ordered, they also sought to 'have their way' with Shizuka. Only to report that she had been killed by Hiro once they returned. Now returned to his normal state of mind, and stronger than before due to the nature of his absence, Hiro quickly managed to defeat the goons. Intent on returning to the manor to confront his uncle about his betrayal.
While Hiro had intended to merely turn his uncle over to the Central Fourty-Six, that all changed once they arrived. Upon realizing that Nagai had played such a pivotal role in what had occurred, Shizuka flew into a rage and lashed out. Initiating a duel between herself and Nagai as Hiro kept Junta restrained. It was during this duel that Shizuka at last revealed that she possessed feelings for Hiro, and had since they were children. Proclaiming that she would forever be at his side, regardless of what form that may take. As shocked by this as the others, despite of spent so much time with her as of late, Hiro allowed Junta to slip from his grasp. A mistake which the man sought to capitalize on by attempting to impale Hiro. Which he would have done had Shizuka not utilized Shunpo to move between them and take the blow instead. Enraged by the sight of her bleeding frame, Hiro sought to strike down Junta. However, his hand was stayed as Nagai swiftly decapitated his father before collapsing in grief. Stating that he loved his sister and had only ever wanted to see Hiro dead. It was only Shizuka's weakened plea for her brother's life that kept Hiro from seeking his head.
Having taken Shizuka to seek treatment at the fourth division's barracks, Hiro was then brought before the Central Fourty-Six to answer for both his disappearance and the incident following his return. There he explained how he had accompanied Shizuka to the world of the living, where they had spent the twelve days training their minds. Primarily as a remedy for his depression. As well as what had happened on their return. Eventually it was ultimately decided that while both Shizuka and Hiro would be pardoned, Nagai would be exiled to the world of the living.
It was also here that it was decided that Hiro would be named a Lieutenant of Nanabantai, the Seventh Division.
It wasn't until fifty years ago, that Hiro earned the true respect of the soul society and ascended to the rank of Captain. As it was then that Hiro alongside Shizuka and a Captain, fought to protect the human world from a sudden onslaught of hollow attacks. Though it was unknown as to why they attacked, it was the unveiling of Hiro's bankai that led to their defeat. Thus, it wasn't until after said battle that he acquired his namesake and was bestowed the Moniker "Battousai". A title honoring his mastery of swordplay.
During 'the Battle of Milford Sound' nearly the entirety of both the Fifth and Seventh Divisions were sent to Milford Sound New Zealand to combat a sudden wave of hollows emerging there. Led by the twin Vasto Lordes 'Red' and 'Blue', the legion managed to obliterate most of the combined shinigami forces, with the survivors numbering under fifty. It was at the side of his current captain, Shizuka Tsukikage, that Hiro attended the battle. Guiding the shinigami under his command, while Shizuka - as acting-captain - and the other captain engaged the Vasto Lordes. While the Shinigami were able to hold their own for the most part, things quickly went south when the captains begun to be overpowered and their opponents turned on the lesser shinigami. It was at this point that Hiro, utilizing the abilities of his bankai, was able to turn the tide. Together, he and the others were able to weaken the twin hollows enough for Shizuka to deliver the finishing blow. However, in order to kill the hollows, Shizuka needlessly sacrificed the lives of nearly two hundred humans in the vicinity of the battle. Subsequently resulting in her being indefinitely exiled to the Human World.
Since becoming a Captain, Hiro begun spend endless hours training with members of both of the second and eleventh divisions. Intent on using elements of both division's teachings to reinforce and redesign the training regime of the seventh division. To further this agenda, Hiro also went on to have his division host an annual Hakuda tournament as a way of both gauging and improving the skills of the Gotei thirteen as a collective whole.
However, this would only prove to be the beginning of his Journey. For then came the fall.
It was five years ago. No one expect them to come. No one expect them to strike. And in one day, the Old Gotei lost it all.
For Hiro, the battle was fierce, and beyond anything he had ever encountered. In an instant, he went from reading reports to fighting for his life. Yet, he would not go quietly. Going so far as to destroy the entirety of the seventh division's barracks, as well as a large swath of surrounding land in the process. However, his attempt to hold his ground went awry once a second assailant spontaneously joined the fray. Especially since they had begun to decimate his squad members by the dozens. Thus, in one final effort, Hiro moved to intervene. And subsequently paid the price. Soon finding himself between a deadly pincer attack. One which crushed both his higher and lower cervical nerves. Leaving him in a quadriplegic state.
Fear, anger, regret, pain. They filled his being as he steeled himself, awaiting the final plunge of their blades. But then there was hate. Intense, burning hate. And all he knew had faded to black.
While Hiro survived, and his body recovered. He never forgot the pain. Never appeased his rage. Never lived down the shame. And so for five years, indirectly, he trained. Leading mission after mission. Killing one hollow after the next. He pushed. Both himself and his men. Pushed until only the strong remained. Until the day came. When Commander Yamagi announced he planned to retake the Seireitei. Masumata inwardly rejoiced, but having driven his men so hard. Very few remained. Thus, a decision was reached between he and Kenpachi Sannouske to merge their troops. All of Hiro's men would follow the Kenpachi's lead. While only his Lieutenant and a select few would accompany him along the way.
【Personality: Outwardly, Hiro is polite, soft-spoken and intellectual. Often addressing his subordinates by their given names. He rarely shows any sign of alarm or distress, and often has entire situations planned out well in advance. Due to his upbringing, he is also highly disciplined. Thus, is capable of taking and executing orders without hesitation. However, he is always first to question an order if he believes it to be flawed. While he initially appears to be a very kind and passive individual, Hiro is known to be overly protective. Hence is easily angered when someone/something he admittedly cares for is at risk.
Despite the fact that Hiro rarely shows it, he can at times be an outgoing and fun loving individual. When exemplifying this, Masumata possesses an actively creative sense of humor and is known to be flirtatious around women. This however, ties into the fact that he is a self proclaimed gentleman. Thus goes out of his way to ensure he always behaves in a respectable manor when dealing with, or around females. Provided he deems them respectable.
It should also be noted that although generally discreet about it, Hiro possesses a strong degree of hate towards Hollows and Hollow-kind. This hate is especially strong when dealing with Arrancar. Although it is publicly unknown exactly why he developed such a hate for them, said hate is so vivid that he will often engage any being in possession of hollow-esque reiatsu immediately and without reservation. Still, this is not his greatest flaw. Although usually nigh impossible to provoke; with exception to the above, when truly enraged, Hiro seems to lose most of his semblance of self. As a result, he oft mirrors an living embodiment of violence. Therefore, when in this state, Hiro will often attack anyone, or thing, that gets between him and the object of his rage with little regard for his own well being. It is believed that this splinter personality was not always present; only taking form following Hiro's 'disappearance'.

As Adoptive cousins, Shizuka and Hiro have known each other since their early childhood. Although Shizuka's feelings for Hiro first developed during their adolescents, they were not made public until later in their careers as Shinigami. Although the two never officially committed to an exclusive relationship, they did once share an intimate night. Thus, both become openly jealous at the possibility of another entering the other's life. It should be noted that while Shizuka admires Hiro for his ideals and devotion to them, Hiro's true feelings are quite unclear. He has avoided her company ever since their time of intimacy.
Kenpachi Sannouske: Rival/Friend
While the two have been apart of the Gotei for sometime, it was only after the fall that the two actually bonded. Although they often appear hostile and at one another's throats, both have learned to respect the other. Having formed a bond of brotherhood through combat. While Hiro would never openly admit it, he considers the Kenpachi to be a personal friend, thus would lay is life on the line for him should he ever feel it necessary. Despite that, Hiro still secretly resents Sannouske for his relationship with Arina Kawagana.
Sunōfurēku Tatasuko: Friend
Having frequently worked with Sunofurēko, or Rēku as he has taken to calling her. Hiro has come to deeply respect her. Both as an individual and a shinigami. Although, he is usually tight-lipped about his feelings and impossible to read, her uncanny ability to always understand his hidden feelings is the seed which blossomed into their friendship. Although many among the shinigami often attempt to tease Hiro, questioning the nature of their relationship. He views Sunofurēku as a little sister. Thus, is aptly protective of her. So much that the two tend to bicker whenever Hiro feels she is putting herself at risk.
Arina Kawagana: Friend/Ex-Lover
Arina has taken a strange liking to Hiro over the years. She flirts with him at every chance she can get, and has definitely caused some strange shenanigans for him over the years. Her father once tried to pair them up in an arranged marriage - but when he died and Arina took over as head of the clan, she withdrew the offer. A bit to Hiro's dismay. As the two spent over a century together, she was his first love. He is now unsure of how he feels. Yet knows he feels something for her.

Sekkachi Haori:
Although it is a well guarded secret - known only to a select few -, Masumata's Captain Haori is Woven from a material derived from Sekkiseki. As such, its true value is not that of a mere badge of office, but as a training tool. The haori operates by repelling reiryoku - acting as an instrument used to suppress the wearer’s manipulation of reiatsu. Due to this, anyone who wears it will find that they themselves are suppressed. More accurately, that the reiryoku that within their being is suppressed. Causing it to act as a spiritual weight upon them. This can be fatal to anyone in possession of less than lieutenant-level reiryoku. Due to its role as a literal anchor upon their inherent. Once it is removed, Masumata appears to undergo a noticeably significant increase in power. Momentarily exerting his reiatsu at maximum until he willingly reigns it in. However, in truth, he simply gains access to the sealed half of his reiryoku pool. Prior to removal, Hiro's reiatsu is lieutenant leveled at best.
【Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
Hiro's preferred method of combat is the Masumata Clan Zanjutsu centered style Known as Warutsu. Warutsu, also known as the Extirpating waltz, is a combative form that simultaneously utilizes elements of hakuda, and hoho to improve the effectiveness of one's zanjutsu. It forces the practitioner to view their zanpakuto as an extension of their physical being as well as spiritual one. Both by encouraging movements that wouldn't normally be applied while using zanjutsu, as well as movements that are frequently used, in order to keep the opponent on their toes.
Unlike traditional styles, Warutsu also uses Hakuda as a means of reinforcing and empowering each of the weapon's movements. Much in the same way it uses Hoho to increase the speed at which the practitioner is capable of acting and reacting. Both with and without a weapon. Due to this, the practitioner is capable of utilizing an unorthodox and wildly unpredictable style to maximize damage while simultaneously minimizing potential risks. Warutsu also allows Hiro to switch between traditional and non-traditional styles on the fly. Allowing him to be widely versatile.
A feat which serves as the basis for Hiro's true combat strategy. To subdue the enemy without fighting. Thus, he will never fight in the same manner twice. Making use of his analytical and observational skills in order to study and access his enemies prior to formulating an action plan on the fly. Making his deadliest weapon his mind. Hiro believes that in combat, to re-frame from using all advantages afforded to one my the enemy, is to show disrespect to that enemy. Thus, prides himself in completely destroying an opponent once he is able to understand them. Making full use of everything from his surroundings to aid in his fight. Including allies.
Ni-tōbun (Precision Form):
By utilizing extremely precise movements during this form, a Warutsu practitioner is capable of maximizing their Zanpakuto's cutting ability. Allowing them to perform feats usually physically impossible with unaided zanjutsu strikes. While this requires the user to be impossibly precise when swinging their blade(s), it can - in theory - allow one to cut any substance not willfully reinforced with reiatsu. Above, a Ni-tōbun user can be seen using the form to surprise his foe.
Tekkō Taifū (Steel Hurricane):
By using the same methodology applied when using Hoho, a Warutsu practitioner is capable of striking at blinding speeds. Allowing them to easily out pace the movements of their opponent's weaponry. It should however be noted that this form is designed to accelerate each subsequent strike in succession. Thus, each strike performed without first adopting the neutral 'Arashinome' stance, is faster than the last. If one is reckless, and fails to mitigate the amount of force used during each successive strike, it is possible to exceed one's limits and loose control of their weapon(s). Failure to maintain control can result in dislocation of bodily limbs. Above, two Tekkō Taifū practitioners practice the form.
Atsuen taneuma (Rolling Stallion):
While its movements focus more on the use of the legs, Atsuen taneuma is one of the most demanding forms of Warutsu. Requiring the incorporation of Hakuda, High Mobility and Zanjutsu simultaneously. It allows a capable practitioner to utilize highly nimble movements, enabling the flawless use of feet in zanjutsu combat. However, in order to use this form effectively, one must be able to enhance the movement of their limbs through Hoho. Whilst also enhancing their Zanjutsu with the same. As it requires one to frequently use an arm to substitute the movements of the legs. Above, a practitioner uses the Atsuen taneuma form to turn the tide of a fight.
Migurushī kani (Sightless Crab):
One of the primary defensive forms of Warutsu, the Migurushī kani allows the practitioner to adapt a planted position which enables them to seamlessly defend their entire body without leaving an opening. Though it temporarily limits physical movement, it is the base, and most adaptive form of Warutsu. Allowing for easy transitions into of the other forms. However, it requires that an individual possesses advanced sensory abilities. As it utilizes a form of seeing known to the Masumata's as the 'Akagan'. Above, an individual demonstrates this form by repeatedly defending with his back to a foe.
Mugen Ashiato (Infinite Steps):
Always used in conjunction with Hoho. This form allows the practitioner to finely amplify their inherent physical speed, done by repeatedly utilizing Hoho on selective body parts mid shunpo. This allows a Warutsu expert to make multiple passing strikes at various opponents without detriment to his current rate of speed. It should be noted that this is a moving form. Thus, each of its stances first require that the user possess a certain expertise in Hoho. As all of its movements must be done during the span of a single shunpo. Failure to do so would result in the hyper extension, and possible dislocation of limbs. Due to the sheer amount of stress placed on the joints if the limbs were to suddenly reach their peak velocities. This stress is lessened when the body is in high speed motion, as the limbs would not be accelerating from a zero state. Above, a practitioner can be seen demonstrating the form, as he would be perceived by another shinigami, capable of tracking his movements.
Sakushi Battoujutsu (Illusionary Art of Sword Drawing):
A purely offensive form. Sakushi Battoujutsu is the reason behind Hiro's namesake. This form focuses all of the user's available reiatsu into the amplification their entire physical being. Effectively rendering them unable to use it for anything else during the time in which they maintain use of this form. Adopting the base stance, the user then unsheathes their blade, and proceeds to attack a single specified target. It should be noted that this form combines the Tekkō Taifū and Mugen Ashiato forms. Thus requires both to first be mastered. Through Sakushi Battoujutsu, a user of Warutsu is capable of continually striking at an opponent so swiftly that they appear to be doing so from all sides. Leaving numerous afterimages of themselves from the perceptive of those looking on. However, a practitioner cannot defend - or cease the attack - until they once again sheath their sword. Otherwise they risk the enduring the same penalties as Tekkō Taifū and Mugen Ashiato. Above, a master of Warutsu uses this form to slay a Hollow.
Hageshī Kōshin (Airstep March):
A form unique to Hiro. By utilizing his bankai's ability, Hiro adapts an aerial fighting style. While the form itself is simple, it can also be devastating. Designed as a ranged from of crowd control, the Hageshī Kōshin form utilizes Shunpo to continuously move between a myriad of weapons created by Kagirinai. Which Hiro can freely use. Primarily, Hageshī Kōshin is used to rapidly generate and launch these weapons at his foes, with the intention of impaling them. It adheres to all the limitations of his bankai and Hoho capabilities. Thus, is his preferred style of combat when in bankai.
Vast Reiryoku(4/4): Hiro has been noted to possess a considerably enormous amount of inherent spiritual power, which through practice, he is capable of finely controlling. While it remains naught but speculation - it was once widely accepted that if Hiro was somehow able to increase his reiryoku - he could rival even the Captain Commander in terms of raw power. This view is not shared by Hiro. Despite the fact that he is capable of continuously drawing on said power - in excess - for an impressively long time. Even by the standards of a captain level shinigami.
Legendary Reiatsu(5/4): In addition to possessing a notably above average degree of reiryoku for some one of his rank, Hiro's reiryoku, when exerted, is extremely concentrated. As a result, his reiatsu levels leagues above that of the average captain's. Hence, while those whom possess an exceptional level of reiatsu themselves are often spared its effects, most shinigami of lower caliber are susceptible to his reiatsu's side effects. Which situationally include, paralyzation, fear induction, and phantom pain affliction. However, the severity of these conditions can vary depending on the individual affected, as well as in accordance to the size of the gap in power between Hiro and themselves.
Incredible Alignment:(4/4): "Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful." These words were the basis behind every training regime, Hiro has ever endeavored to compete. Through his own drive for self-improvement, Hiro has spent more time analyzing himself than any other topic. Dissecting every failure for cause, every mistake for reason, every action for justification. This became even more prevalent following the fall of the Old Gotei. So much so, that Kagirinai often teases that he only visits her so he can stare at her. As her advice is often a redundancy of Hiro's thoughts.
Zanjutsu Grandmaster(4/4): Like most members of the Masumata Clan, Hiro specializes in swordsmanship. Trained since he could walk in the art of Zanjutsu, Hiro's talent with a sword is one of exceedingly rare quality. Despite his relatively young age, Hiro is capable of effectively fighting ambidextrously with anything which even remotely resembles a sword. Both when dual and single wielding. While he does not yet consider himself to be at his peak, there are currently very few known individuals whose skill with a blade equals, or surpasses his own. Most notable among the few being Jinzo Kurogama and the current Captain Commander, Taikou Yanagi.
Impressive Offense(3/4): Though his use of Warutsu, Hiro has the capability to perform a myriad of offensive strikes. The likes of which range from varying schools of sword technique. As of current, his offensive capabilities are limited only by his physical strength and personal combative preferences. As he has frequently gone out of his way to expand his knowledge of the art. Thus is knowledgeable in all recorded forms of swordsmanship. However, following bankai, Hiro's offensive capabilities are potentially immeasurable. Due solely to the scope of his zanpakuto's abilities.
Impressive Defense(3/4): Though his use of Warutsu, Hiro has the capability to perform a myriad of defensive stances. The likes of which range from varying schools of sword technique. As of current, his defensive capabilities are limited only by his physical strength and personal combative preferences. As he has frequently gone out of his way to expand his knowledge of the art. Thus is knowledgeable in all recorded forms of swordsmanship. However, following bankai, Hiro's defensive capabilities are immeasurable. Due solely to the scope of his zanpakuto's abilities.
Incredible Resonance(4/4):"Together we can face any challenges. As deep as the ocean, as wide as the sky." As the first words ever uttered to Hiro by Kagirinai. Their bond has always been one of notable strength. One which only strengthened with ever hardship Hiro endured. For through it all, the only constant was always Kagirinai. Whom has repeatedly offered both console and support whenever he seemed uneasy. Likewise, Kagirinai has repeatedly found reassurance in Hiro's conviction and rigidity. Proving that their synergy has only improved.
Hakuda Master(3/4): Due to the nature of his training growing up, as well as personal efforts on his part, Hiro's skill in Hakuda in noted to be formidable. So much so that he has become proficient in several styles of martial arts. What makes him truly dangerous however, is his remarkable perceptive abilities. Which allow him to easily predict and anticipate enemy movements and counter accordingly. He is such a technical fighter that he has been capable of besting fighters far more experienced than himself with moderate effort.
Average Offense(2/4): Technique. This is the core of Hiro's offensive prowess. While his arms are capable of delivering devastating blows, due to the musculature developed through his use of zanjutsu. Hiro's strikes are at an about average level for that of a seasoned hakuda combatant. However, because Hiro has focused on perfecting the technique of every strike he knows, he is capable it amplifying the damage he can deal. Simply by utilizing proper footwork and motion structure. Allowing him to deliver deceptively hard blows.
Average Defense(2/4): Between his perceptiveness, and knowledge of the combative arts, Hiro is an averagely defensive fighter. Relying mostly on accurate predictions of enemy movements into order to counter and/or evade. However, it should be noted that due his skill in Hoho, Hiro will often use shunpo to out maneuver his opponents. Executing acrobatic feats which make it difficult for his foes to strike or grapple him.
Average Physical Strength(2/4): While he isn't physically stronger than an active shinigami of his size and build, his intimacy with hand to hand combat makes him an difficult foe in a brawl. Skilled in many forms of martial arts, Hiro is a very well rounded fighter whom is just as capable of dishing damage out, as he is of withstanding it.
Untrained Kidō(0/4): Hiro is incapable of casting even the simplest of kido spells. While this is due mostly to a general lack of interest in the aforementioned, thus is, in theory, remediable. Hiro currently shows no interest in doing so.
Poor Kido Power(0/4): No Kido. No Kido Power. Enough Said.
Incredible Perception(4/4): Hiro has always possessed the inherent ability to adapt to and learn things fairly quickly. Thus, has never struggled to understand a new or unfamiliar phenomenon. Because it is also in his nature to think analytically, Hiro has proven himself capable of effectively dissecting and evaluating situations with minimal effort. A trait which he best exemplifies during combat. Additionally, Hiro has taken it upon himself to be as well informed about the world as is feasibly possible. Hence can often appear to be a 'wise ass' when it comes to general facts about most things. However, his area of mental expertise is in what he calls 'battle strategics'. Which involves knowing specific information about possible combative inquiries. Involving things such as weaponry, combative shinigami and hollow techniques, the combative abilities of both shinigami and hollows, various locations within the Soul Society, and Human World, as well as the capabilities of his fellow captains, and the relationships between them.
All this is held together by his phenomenal sensory abilities. When concentrating in the midst of battle, Hiro's ability to sense reishi is so proficient that he possesses a sort of mind's eye. Causing him to subconsciously cease seeing with his eyes during intense combat. Allowing him to sense strong sources of reiatsu from a few kilometers away. Additionally, within the Soul Society, Hiro can sense people who are masterfully capable of masking their spiritual presence by sensing areas devoid of reishi. However, in the World of the Living - or any location that is not full of spiritual particles - this type of sensory becomes unreliably clouded.
Hohō Grandmaster(4/4): Hiro has long been noted as being one of the Soul Society's most proficient Hoho users. While he is not the fastest by far in his normal state. He is capable of easily out pacing the average high caliber shinigami. More notably though, is his high level of inherent flexibility, maneuverability and reflexes. As he has been seen executing physical maneuvers which most shinigami would struggle to perform with relative ease. Under the effects of his bankai, Hiro's speed is sufficient enough to allow him to contend with the fastest of shinigami.
Incredible Mobility(4/4): To many, Masumata's degree of flexibility is out right disgusting. As nimble as an olympic level athlete, Hiro body boasts general hyper-mobility. Giving most of his joints the appearance of 'double jointedness'. This makes him impossibly difficult to grapple as well of strike with traditional motions. He is capable of performing acrobatic feats most people would consider to be impossible. Although this is done via practice, and is a subsequent result of his martial training.
Average Resiliance(2/4): While he isn't physically stronger than any active captain-class shinigami of his size and build , Hiro's strong will has often led him to be perceived as tougher than he actually is. As his blatantly stubborn to surrender to adversity is frequently a driving factor in his will to continue on. Despite the situation or odds. Yet, this iron clad resolve should not be mistaken for an exceptional degree of mental fortitude. As his psyche already bears scars from his past.
By utilizing surgical precision when manipulating his reiatsu, Hiro momentarily redistributes all of his exerted reiatsu along the musculature of his arms. Having enhanced his strength via this method, he then proceeds to initiate a downward dual handed strike. Subsequently releasing a large concussive burst of air pressure. Said burst is capable of inflicting significant lacerative damage. Although it appears as a faint cresent-shaped ripple of air, the exceptional power behind it enables it to carve through most forms of organic matter.

Sealed State
~"In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you."~
Additional Description: In it's sealed state, Kagirinai appears as an silver wedding band embedded with rubies and diamonds. A form which mimics the wedding band Hiro was to receive from Ai.
Inner World & Spirit:
Hiro's Inner world is his mental depiction of the end of the universe, or it's heat death. It consists only of the last star in the Universe, which he refers to as the Cold Star, sitting on the edge of a Time dilating Vortex that prevents the Universe from actually ending. It represents the constant inner struggle within Hiro. Who is frequently torn between his desire to protect those he loves and destroy those he hates. According to Kagirinai, his reluctance to forget Ai is also reflected in this depiction as well. Albeit as an autumn forest landscape. Composed of Sakura trees, with a single beaten path through its center.
Kagirinai itself often appears as a five-foot tall humanoid female with a slender physique and long red hair. Her face boasts soft, adorable features and lips always lined with smirk or smile. Kagirinai wears a seductively form-fitting attire with black and white coloration, and possesses palely fair skin. Kagirinai's eyes have cat-like pupils and are an orange color with white sclerae in this form. Alternatively, when Hiro is in bankai, Kagirinai appears as a humanoid entity comprised of a blood red fluid - this is her true form. Within this form, her physique appears masculine and her height is increased to an menacing seven feet. A sinister fanged grin also makes up the entirety of her jawline, with her eyes becoming a pair of solid white swaths. Each respectively stretching from the bridge of the nose to temple of the head.
Zanpakuto Personality: Sarcastic and wittily sharp tongued, Kagirinai is in many aspects very childlike. Usually maintaining an unnecessarily energetic and carefree demeanor. Yet, despite her cheerfulness Kagirinai can also be intimidating once annoyed. Often being quick to violence if criticized or insulted. It should however also be noted that, in lieu of her behavior, Kagirinai possesses a sage like degree of maturity. Although she is fully aware of the rarity of her own combative prowess, even among zanpakuto, Kagirinai also treats everyone with a degree of respect, even her enemies. Thus, will in rare moments, conduct herself in an intelligent and aristocratic manner. It is believed that her narcissistic behavior merely acts as a mask for her thoughtful and caring nature. Most frequently exemplified by her motherly demeanor when in combat with Hiro.
Shikai
~"Shimmer and reveal, come forth and alter. Lend me your aid. Kagirinai."~
Ability: Kagirinai has the ability to absorb reiatsu and convert it into physical matter. Including living organisms. Although these constructs take on the likeness of various objects, because they are made entirely of reiryoku, they operate as many kido spells do. Thus are highly resistant to most physical confrontations, yet susceptible to reiatsu based attacks and interruptions. It should also be noted that while Hiro prefers to create plants, Kagirinai's ability is not limited in what objects it can create. This fact is only known to those whom have witnessed Hiro fight to his limits, and is disregarded as rumor when officially questioned.
Techniques
Kyuujin (Absorption): Kagirinai allows Hiro to metabolize reiatsu. Allowing him to consume reiatsu and use it to heal himself in a process similar to photosynthesis. The rate at which he heals is determined by both the severity of the wound as well as the available amount of external reiatsu. As Hiro is not able to absorb any reiatsu produced by himself or another's zanpakuto. It should also be noted that the proficiency of this ability is greatly decreased when he is exposed to substantial quantities of hollow reiatsu. As well as nullified when no external reiatsu source is present. That is ti say, when he is completely and utterly isolated from anything which independently exerts reiatsu. However, all wounds healed via this method are only repaired temporarily. Thus, will revert to their previous state once Hiro ceases to actively sustain the effect. If said wounds are mortal, he will succumb to them at that time. Although he has learned to maintain this effect subconsciously, doing so still subtracts from his perception of the battle. Even if only minutely.
Bankai
~"Bankai... Kigirinai Suenagaku."~
Ability: Following activation Hiro's body merges with that of the manifested Kagiriani's and he loses the ability to use all of his shikai techniques. Inversely gaining a large boost in physical strength, speed and durability. Multiplying them Sevenfold. Essentially, his bankai's core release acts as an vitality buffer. Upon activation all non-severe previously obtained wounds are healed. This is an one off effect. Due to his body and zanpakuto becoming one, Hiro also gains Kagirinai's ability to convert reiatsu into matter. However is now capable of doing so by utilizing his own reiatsu as a source.
Due to this, Hiro is permitted the same degree of control over said conversion abilities. So much so that his prowess nearly rivals that of Kagirinai. This allows him to alter his own body, at the microscopic level. Altough doing so is dangerous, taxing and potentially permanent, this allows him to utilize Kagirinai's abilities more thoroughly when creating matter. Allowing him to create far more complex objects.
Techniques
Shingai (Gods Armor): Initiated upon activation of bankai. Once resolved, Kagirinai temporarily physically bonds itself with Hiro. Whom becomes physically morphed during this state, granting crimson wing-like appendages of reiatsu upon his behind his shoulders. The likes of which are connected to a pair of red metal pauldrons he now boasts over his attire. In addition, his body is encompassed by an crimson and luminescent aura. During this state, Hiro's dermal tissue is continually augmented by converting the reiatsu surrounding him into additional layers of thick skin. This skin is made to simulate the hardness of a zanpakuto, thus can parry adeptly powerful strikes without ill effect. While this makes him almost impervious to physical attacks, he is still susceptible to powerful penetrating and/or energy based attacks. As well as attacks possessing an incalculable amount of driving force. It should be noted that areas not naturally covered by skin remain points of vulnerability.
Mugen Renzoku (Infinite Continuity): By temporarily sacrificing his eyesight, Hiro's mastery over Hoho can be further intensified. Allowing him to move twice as fast as already permitted by his bankai. This requires that Hiro use Kagirinai's ability to rapidly fabricate additional epinephrine within his body. Forcing it into a state of "enhanced fight or fight." Allowing his muscles to exert themselves at levels not consciously reachable. In order to compensate for this sudden and extreme chemical high, Hiro forcefully shuts down the areas of the brain necessary for sight prior to initialization. Converting the nerves required into raw reiatsu, which is then converted into the first epinephrine cells. However, frequent use is extremely taxing , and prolonged exposure decreases the chances that he will successfully be able to reconstruct the removed nerves. Thus, Hiro is capable of easily out pacing most opponents, at great expense to his stamina as well as risk to his health.
【Additional Appearance Info: Kanai stands at the short height of 5'6 and weighs around 175lbs. He has purple hair and hazel eyes, his hair is shaved at the sides leaving him with a long Mohawk on the top of his head. He wears a Shihakushō with a white long sleeve undershirt, the right sleeve on his Shihakushō is cut off. He wears a purple sash the same color as his hair and his zanpakuto is kept on his left side.
【Biography: Kanai was brough to the rukongai after being hit by a car while arguing with his parents. He came to one of the lower districts and become a fighter, learning how to fight to survive, not only with harsh people but in harsh climates. He did find a family after his first few years of being there, an elderly couple, who took him in and raised them as their son. He still went out and fought in matches, he would win, and bring home the little money he earned to help support his family.
He got caught sneaking in one night by his old man, and the man gave him an ultimatum; either enroll to become a shinigami or he was going to call the authorities the next time he went out to fight. So to respect the man that had taken him in he wen to school. He had never been socially acclimated so dealing with others and their smiles, likes and dislikes, attitudes and issues, all of this and more really pissed him so he stopped trying and caring. He stopped trying to be friendly and stopped caring about how other people felt. He quickly began to learn and gain an aptitude for kido and zanjutsu. Not really doing well at all with hakuda and hoho, more like failing, the boy was better with his fist and words than with a sword. He became an underdog all through out his time at Shino Academy. Not once ever getting the respect he deserved, and this hardened his heart even further.
Years later he had become a shinigami and was offered a position in the 8th Division, by the former lieutenant. The man felt that even though he was fierce as bloody lion he was a soft white Dove on the inside hence the nickname turned calling card. He would throw himself into training and work, even though he had pretty good standing in hakuda (due to his shikai) his talent lied in his massive reiryoku and kido. He was told by his mentor, the former 8th Division lieutenant, that if he could learn to control it he would step down and let him have his seat. So that motivated him to train harder and move forward, still keeping all his anger and soon he began to climb seat after seat until he was the 3rd seat. When Kanai and his mentor were sent out on a mission they got ambushed by a multitude of hollows and his mentor died. Kanai went on a rampage and went wild, when he returned the only thing he had was body of his only friend.
A year after he became the lieutenant things started to sizzle down and things got relatively quiet. Then the down fall of the captains set in and Kanai last order was to stay alive. Now the resistance is forming and he was one of the first to sign up. He needed to avenge those that where taken from him, plus this defeat is causing a major drift between him and his zanpakuto and it was only getting worse with each day. He wants to help get back the Gotei 13 and earn his position as Captain.
【Personality: Kanai is a mean person, he has a habit to snap at most and he is not the one to suffer the weak. Kanai feels like this is a dog eat dog world and treats everyone as such, he can't stand people who are to happy or to sad, most of the time he thinks they are weird and just faking it. Never one to sugar coat anything, Kanai like to tell it how it is and is not afraid to tell it anyone but his superiors. Kanai he knows to understand the chain of command but even then still earned a reputation as a "busier" and "rebel" for his attitude alone. There is a soft side for the ladies at times but even then he can be a insensitive jerk, and not a as sensitive as he should be. He is not the lazy sort though, and despite his colleagues teasing he can work with others as long as they are "tolerable" as he calls them.
His captain was the only one who cold reign him in once he got started but they worked good together, its evens aid he was the only one who had seen him smile. As a leader he could not stand laziness and would make sure everything ran like clock work, his old captain appreciated it greatly and would only step in if it got out of hand. Kanai is not a bad leader, he has a "no man left behind" mentality but if you are dying already he will be the first to put you out of your misery.

【Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
Kanai is an up close and personal fighter. During his early years one might think that he would specialize in hakuda but he grew accustomed zanjutsu early on. So much that he was offered a position in the 11th Division when he first joined the Gotei 13 but declined the offer. Along with his zanjutsu he also began his study of even stronger kido. Due to his high level of reiryoku his spiritual presence is very large as well, even though he has tried to he is still training on how to control it better. He is such a good swordsman the he prefers to use a mixture of kido and zanjutsu than using his zanpakuto, only because hey do not "agree" at times. He is no shunpo master and knows the basic techniques to keep him going throughout the fight. Kanai is the type to engage the enemy defensively to get a feel for them, their capabilities and over all mental state. Then he begins to formulate a plan on how to tear down his enemy. Now he is easily revoked and if his enemy pushes his buttons in the right place then they can overcome his tactical mind. He has a amazing stamina from years of having to deal with long and tiresome fights, but he can only take so many over powering hits. Average wear and tear thought a fight, like a cut or bruise is fine but an overwhelming kido or bankai will cut his strength in half.
Description: Kanai's inner world is a giant lake as far as the eye can see with a close moon stuck in a state of half setting. The moon is big bright and white. At the middle there lies a wooden walkway similar to the design of the Ugendō Quarters in the 13th Division. This walkway makes a square and at the center of this square is a small garden with a cherry blossom tree that stays in bloom. Iro can be found at the center while Kami roams the walkways.
Zanpakuto Personality: Kanai has two female zanpakuto that show off the different sides of his true personality. One side of his personality is colorful, and carries the full rage of emotions it is him in honest raw feeling, it is his core, she is Iro. While the other guards his inner self, and protects them with a stone cold, emotionless embrace, she is Shōkyo suru. Together they are a hard duo to handle, both are quiet but tend to do outrageous things in their own right, and Kanai learned the hard way if you let your guard down they wont hesitate to strike. He learned the best way to handle them was to separate them and move from there
Shikai
~"Paint a Masterpiece 'Iro'(Color色), Cleanse the canvas 'Shōkyo suru'(Erase消す)"~
Ability: After Kanai says the words to awaken his shikai, it glows white, separates and becomes two swords. The plain blade is Shōkyo suru and with every cut to an opponent absorbs their reiatsu, while Iro disperses the reiatsu in different colors each with different properties. Shōkyo suru drains at the same rate a wound kills, if she makes a small cut among the arm, blood wont poor out, but reiatsu will instead and the blade "erases" it from existence by absorbing it. A small cut will yield small reiatsu, while a gash or stab can cause a great drain depending on the enemy. Iro can release the reiatsu in different colors that carry elemental properties: red (fire), blue (ice), yellow (air), the sword also changes color when the reiatsu changes as well.
Techniques
Akai surasshu ("Red Slash" 赤いスラッシュ):
At the instant of the slash, Iro, absorbing Shōkyo suru, stolen spiritual energy, releases highly condensed spiritual energy at the tip of the blade, which, magnifying the slash attack, flies forward. The slash is red and burns like fire, and it can be done horizontally and vertically.
Burūsumasshu ("Blue Smash" ブルースマッシュ):
Kanai smashes Iro into the ground and they blade changes color to blue. Using the stolen spiritual energy, Iro makes all the ground in a 15ft radius around Kanai glow blue and then turn to ice. The ground becomes slippery, breakable, and melt-able.
Eakattā ("Air Cutter" エアカッター)
Kanai makes a horizontal slash with Iro and it releases a crescent air slash (or wave shape) that can cut through stone. Iro will change colors to yellow and the air is also yellow.
Howaitoauto ("White Out" ホワイトアウト)
The only ability that Shōkyo suru has; every slash, cut, and wound that she makes on anyone does not bleed blood but releases reiatsu. The more fatal the wound the more reiatsu is absorbed. The reiatsu does continue to flow out just like blood does eventually coagulate, but if the wound is in a fatal enough spot then it will take longer to heal. The reiatsu flows out from the targeted area with a white color and in liquid form. Once his shikai is deactivated the wounds close and disappear.

Unlike her family, who normally have white or black hair, hers is a bright auburn and the only trait she carries from them is the vibrant blue eyes. She can mostly be seen wearing a questionably short kimono made of the finest fabrics one could find, with her Zanpakuto on her right hip tucked neatly into her obi. Arina carries the brand of her Clan on her left wrist - burnt into her at a young age.
【Biography: WIP
【Personality: To her peers and division, Arina is a graceful, intelligent, however, sometimes brash woman. Always calm, and very rarely serious, she tends to mock and play rather than settle into work. Although she can be empathetic, she also can come off blunt, and often points it out when people are letting their emotions get the better of them. Coming from one of the great families, she was treated like a princess from the moment she was born – and despite the eradication of her clan, she still carries herself with respect, even though she has an unnecessary gift of making everything she wears look immodest. She has an incredibly flirtatious nature and has a knack for getting up close and personal with everyone, with hardly any regard for personal space.
Under her playful and flirtatious façade, however, lies a skilled manipulator who uses any means necessary to achieve her goals. Her main personality attributes are a strong survival instinct and sense of self-sufficiency - with a particularly adaptive nature which allows her to easily switch alliances when she needs to.
Ruthless and calculating, Arina has no problem killing to get what she wants or using others to do her own bidding. She doesn’t like getting her own hands dirty, but will when she is backed into a corner. She has a tendency to hold grudges, but is completely uncaring when it comes to people insulting her. She is highly strategic in her planning, insisting that she has many back up plans to her goals – however, she is also impatient and sometimes lets her own arrogance get the better of her.
Because she has so much confidence in herself, she is often rattled when someone manages to deceive her. She is very resilient, but she borders on self-destructive at many moments.
It takes much for her rage to break and she detests any emotions that could cause her to lose control. Her hollow smile is only ever traded for a scowl when she is forced to work – and her personality is like that of a switch. The ruthless and cunning girl bubbles to the surface. She is loyal to the Gotei 13, and so, when her Division is placed in danger, she will have no qualms about eliminating the danger without a single question. She is a cold soldier and will carry out most orders given without a second thought.

One of the few people Arina would completely place her trust in, Sano has known Arina since her early academy days. He knows more about the happenings in her life than any other person alive, and so it was only fair for her to learn the happenings of his life. It made them even. She cares a lot for the Kenpachi but is a little too proud to admit it. If Arina happens to be missing (an often occurrence), one might find her hiding away in he Division 11 Barracks with him.
NAME: Masumata, Hiroshimoto - Friend/Ex-Fiancee
Arina has taken a strange liking to Hiro over the years. She flirts with him at every chance she can get, and he could probably agree, she has caused some strange shenanigans for him over the years. Her father once tried to pair them up in an arranged marriage - but when he died she asked him if they could postpone the marriage. They spend a century or so together until she called off the engagement for the good of her Clan. Despite her relationship with Sano, Arina still cares very deeply for Hiro.

Fighting Style:
Arina has a strong survival instinct and sense of self-sufficiency. She doesn't care much for fighting, it’s not like she doesn’t enjoy the exhilarating magical feeling of violence and war, she’s simply too lazy. She rather opt out of a fight or allow someone to take her place, simply so she doesn't have to get her own clothes hands dirty. Trickery is her game; she’ll talk her way out of a fight before she draws her Zanpakuto.
She is incredibly perceptive in and out of battle, this makes it easier to find a way to break her opponent down and talk them into losing focus. She watches for slight changes in body language and facial expressions. Even a twitch of an eyebrow, she'll notice. It also helps her to try and read her opponents attacks, helping her to avoid taking a hit.
Arina's small frame allows her to be quick, stealthy and agile on her feet. She often tells people who threaten her that they would have to catch her first... and it's not an easy thing to do. She's flexible and has quick reflexes, this gives her expert experience in the field of "DODGE!".
Despite her agility, however, her small frame lacks strength, when caught, she is easily overpowered and will generally give in if it means saving her own skin. Although she’ll occasionally it, Kido isn’t her style; she deems the spells impersonal and rude.

Sealed State
~"Vanity is unbecoming of you, my dear."~
Inner World & Spirit:
Zanpakuto Personality: Meikai Kumori is a narcissistic, vain spirit. The most beautiful Zanpakuto to ever come into existence (self proclaimed), she is often reminding Arina that she can never compare to her grace and beauty. She believes herself to be above Arina and therefore likes to prove her point every now and then by not releasing into Shikai when called upon. Underneath her beauty lies a sick and callous spirit, who finds comfort in the suffering of others. Ruthless and cunning, the spirit will often whisper death in Arina's ear; it has been mentioned that this could be the reason Arina is so cold blooded when it comes to taking lives... but then again, some do wonder if Arina enjoys it as much as Meikai Kumori.
Shikai
~"Bend and Shift... Collude without ends; through will I grant you form..."~
Ability: The power of Meikai Kumori is shadow-based, however, the way in which it uses the shadows is special. The ribbons that hang off the scythe and the handle are constantly creating shadows, in which Arina is then able to manipulate and warp to her will. Her Shikai, essentially allows her to change the consistency of the shadow; for instance, hardening them to be used as extensions of her blade, or making them incorporeal, allowing her to enter them and travel through them at a disquieting pace.
Techniques
Name: Bōryoku-tekina Itami (Violent Pain) Once spoken, a dark circle appears below the enemy. Once the circle is fully formed, and several tendrils of shadow rise into the air before curving down toward the target, striking down as arches that pierce into the enemy from above.
Name: Akuma Mori (Demon lance) Arina slashes her Scythe in an upwards motion towards the sky, flinging the tendrils of shadows upwards into the air where they morph into four lances. She then brings her scythe down and the lances detach, raining down on her enemy. She cannot control these after they have detached from her Scythe.
Name: Jigoku Shōheki (Infernal Barrier) Arina stabs the blade of her Scythe into the ground, and the ribbons join together, creating a black shadow sphere that encloses her inside before it hardens. It make for a good defense, but can be shattered by enough brute force, or a Captains attack.
Name: Hidoi ho (Unholy Stride) This allows her to travel through the tendrils of her shadows in a Shunpo - allowing her to slip through the cover of darkness.
Name: Yami Kyōsaku (Dark Constriction) The tendrils of shadow from Arina's Scythe wrap around her opponent, binding them as they constrict like that of a snake. Arina can then harden them and use the tendrils as blade. Before she can do this however, she must have them completely bound - if she hardens the tendrils too soon, her opponent has a better chance of snapping them.
Name: Kodai no dai Sanji (Ancient Catastrophe) This is probably the most draining ability Arina possesses. She wraps herself in the ribbons of her scythe and throws the blade upwards. Four balls of dark shadows rise from the ground around her. As Arina changes her pose, the balls circle around for a moment, then stop, growing larger during the process. She then encloses herself with a black sphere before the four balls release their energy. Her barrier then reflects the energy into a Kido like blast which erupts from the circumference of the sphere. Arina very rarely uses this ability as it takes a large toll on her body.
【Name: Kenpachi Sannouske 【Nicknames: Kenny-Kun, Sano, My Lieu will die if he calls me Noose-Kun 【Alias: The Unrelenting Flame 【Age: 687 【Age Appearance: 24 【Gender: Male 【Race: Shinigami 【Former Rank: Captain 【Former Division: 11th
【Additional Appearance Info: Sano is a tall, muscular young man at the height 6'4 whose most prominent feature is his hair color and thick eyebrows, which many people comment on; though his hair has lost its red coloration as he grew older and is now a dark brown. Sano's shinigami clothing has changed greatly since he grew older. Instead of the red armor he once wore, he now sports more casual clothing. His upper body is covered by a sleeveless black combat vest with a sleeveless red jacket with a high collar. The garb is held tight to his frame via three belts, with one wrapped around each of his shoulders and armpit, with the other bridging his chest to connect to the other two belts. His trousers are loose-fitting white jeans with a leather belt to hold them in place. On his knees, his jeans have a protective padding colored black, with belts to hold it in place. Dangling from his right side is a red tasset, held in place by another belt with the wording "FREE" written to the left-hand side. His shoes cover his entire ankle and are colored red.
【Biography: To summarize Kenpachi's life, he was always a gifted monster born for destruction. A still born in the real world, Sano, as he was mostly called, was raised in the world outside of the Soul Society. The barbarians and brutes raised him to be one thing, a weapon. That's the only thing that Sano ever knew in his life and a forced hatred for the Soul Society. He never knew why they hated the shinigami but he followed willingly. No one knows of the attack by the brutes, a well coordinated attack, instead the only thing that is known is of the battle of Kenpachi. Sano was pushed to his limit but he prevailed with his insane level of talent in Hakuda, killing the former Kenpachi. With all those events it was a wonder that Sano was allowed to survive and brought into the Soul Society.
Sano was dubbed the next Kenpachi and even thrown into the academy. He was not a man that understood their teaching methods but it did help in how he grew. Before most knew it, Sano had grown to a level befitting a captain; only taking a few hundred years give or take. Taking his rightful place as the Captain of Swuad 11 and the new Kenpachi, Sano crafted a legacy for himself for those to follow. A legacy that included a legendary fight against an Arrancar that he won. The exile has never truly sullied his name and many know how he was ganged up on to force out of the Soul Society. Sano has lived his life in the Human World but he still hunts for those that wronged him, ready to return to his rightful place.
【Personality: Sannouske is loud, aggressive, and calculating. He trusts no one until he's served with them in combat, and even then he has lingering doubts about most everyone he's acquainted with. This mistrust is so bad it took many years for the fourth's captain to convince him to let combat medics touch him. He is a ruthless warrior, and lives by a 'kill first, ask questions later' mindset- better to mistakenly kill someone than mistakenly let a threat go. Sano believes that anyone who chooses to pick up a weapon and fight automatically assumes the consequences of war and conflict, and should accept that death is a likely outcome, no matter the age or previous occupation. He also holds respect for those that battle for their beliefs, and will honor his fallen enemies as well as allies. And, for all his trust issues, Sano is incredibly loyal- he will never betray his allies. And to allies that do betray him or his subordinates, he has no mercy.
Because of his aggressive, and fight-happy nature, people often assume he isn't intelligent. This is a huge mistake. Snao is cold, calculating, and has a slight detachment from human bonds that would otherwise color his decisions. He is highly perceptive, and can recognize tics and body nuance that give people away. Though his curt manner of speech makes people believe he has a short temper, he always approaches things logically, and will quickly shut down a conversation partner he feels is wasting his time. Not out of anger, but efficiency. His battlefield tactics are solid, and he is an artist when it comes to administering death. Though he doesn't have the creativity for large scale strategy, he has proved during war time that he has one of the best minds for single combat.
Sano's greatest joy lies in hunting, be it an enemy or for sport. He considers each mission another hunt, another chance to feel the adrenaline of taking on a threat and overcoming it. He thrives on conflict, on besting his opponents and his allies alike, and tries to instill that sense of excitement in his subordinates. Though Sano sees no value in personal relationships, he prizes relationships forged in battle. There are a few people he considers family, battle brothers and sisters whom he grants his respect and trust- though not all of it. As a leader, his abilities alone inspire people to follow him, but his leadership style doesn't suit many people. He leads by example, and would never ask a subordinate to do something he wouldn't. He respects his warriors, but expects them to hold his mindset- that battle, and the mission, are the most important things in life. He knows how to keep morale high, even with his grueling training sessions.

【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
Reiryoku(4):
Reiatsu(5): Sano possesses truly immense levels of spiritual power even by Captain-level standards, which is so rough, heavy and unrelenting that many have remarked that his mere presence is enough to disconcert all but the strongest of beings whilst bringing a shiver of fear to others. His reiatsu manifests as raging flames even without him releasing his Zanpakutō. Sano possesses masterful control over his exerted reiatsu. He can cause fear in Captain-level opposition merely by approaching them, paralyze all movement of anyone short of Captain-level with a mere stare, and ultimately control the summoned flames with tremendous precision. As such Sano can set his surroundings aflame without much effort as well as potentially attack anyone with potent flames who are within the range of his reiatsu.
Alignment(1): Kenpachi absolutely hates his shortcomings and secretly self-doubts himself. Despite his personality, Sano has a pure hatred for his weaknesses and fails to truly understand his own limits.
Zanjutsu(2): Not much needs to be said in regards to Sano's ability with a blade. He understands it enough to be comparable to most Lieutenants and uses it to instead compliment his hakuda fighting style. He's an expert that shows promise but has yet to grab hold of that promise.
Offense(2): ^Explained above
Defense(2): ^ Explained above above
Resonance(3): Sano has fully mastered his unstable shikai and fails to grasp how to proceed in acquiring his bankai.
Hakuda(5):Hakuda is Kenpachi's greatest asset. He can unleash a flurry of bone-shattering punches a mile a minute, with kicks powerful enough to knock even Captains off their feet with relative ease, and it has been shown that he is able to defeat even Captains with brute strength alone. He is a quick thinker in battle; often coming up with creative counterattacks to his foes in the span of a few seconds.
Offense(5): ^ Explained above
Defense(5): ^Explained above above
Physical strength(5): Snao's brute strength is the stuff of legends, monstrously frightening in its capacity, it is incomprehensibly powerful. He has demonstrated godlike feats of brute physical power, ripping apart kido barriers with his bare hands, even so far as taking hold of hado fired upon him and crushing them between his hands. Yet it is the level of control and precision he has in his blows that make his tremendous strength truly terrifying. In battle he appears like a furious maelstrom of death, slamming his fist against the air with such force as to create powerful waves of concussive force capable of demolishing entire buildings with a single strike!
Kido(0):
Kido Power(0): Kenpachi has never practiced Kido and never will practice Kido.
Perception(3): Kenpachi may not be perceptive in the area of sensory but his instincts are top-notch. Not matter the situation, he gets ridiculously accurate gut feelings that can't be explained how but does not fail him often. Well he doesn't see the future or anything of that nature, his gut has kept him from being caught off-guard many times. It has been attributed by the CC himself that this is probably a offset from his enhanced senses.
Hoho(3): Sannouske has no knack for using Shunpo. He understands the technique down to the basics but he cannot replicate it. Instead Sano is prone to using his powerful legs to get where he needs to go, taking the maximum amount of steps; though he is not without his own form of speed. He is able to make straight forward dashes using the full power of his legs and leap considerable distances. The ground always cracks when he preforms such dashes. Many believe the head captain of 11th division to be a rock but he can react to many opponents faster then himself.
Mobility(3): To add to his natural speed, Sano is incredibly flexible as one would need to be when they have mastered all forms of hand to hand plus he can do flips and complex maneuvers that is unfitting for a man his size.
Resilience(5): Sano has a special knack for taking damage regardless of the person who happens to be attacking him. He was one of a very select few capable of effectively blocking the savage blows employed by a former Arrancar, which stands as a testament to his bodies resistance to pain. When he first gained his powers he was constantly left open because of his inability to perform Shunpo, meaning he was required to take a thorough beating before he could exploit his enemies openings. He can seemingly take horrendous damage and still keep going, with many describing him as a monster in this regard.
Sano's strength is so immense, that a simple jab is capable of generating enough physical force to project gale-force winds. When he launches an attack it releases powerful highly pressurized shockwaves, appearing as waves of heat as they travel through the air. These attacks possess incredible destructive concussive force, capable of demolishing entire city blocks, and even then, the amount of heat they generate is enough to ignite anything in their path. This ability is merely a product of Sano's own brute strength, an ability he has since integrated into his hakuda-fighting styles, which can influence and change the nature of these high-pressure attacks.
Zanpakuto Personality: Kosenka is highly mischievous, and tends to get bored rather easily. She also enjoys taunting her opponents, is rather flirtatious, and seems to possess a slight sadistic streak (or a more aggressive side to her flirtatious nature), based on her comments about "playing" with Sano when she first materialized in front of him. She also cares for the well-being of her master as she snapped at Sano for being reckless during the failed SS invasion.
Ability: Karo Gaitō (Furnace Cloak): The passive technique activated upon the Shikai's release. It is the blazing garments that continuously birth flames upon and around his own body, giving him the appearance of a fiery visage of death. This armor of flames not only adds protection against attacks from his enemies, but also increases damage from close proximity and measures the sheer volume of power he has at his disposal to employ against his foes.
Techniques
Hinokuruma ("Fiery Chariot."): Using the flames upon his person, Sano can create momentum and force around his person by generating pressurized, exerting jetstreams of fire. Not only does this give him the aura of a comet, allowing him to move at incredible momentum and versatile speed, but it can allow Sano to hit multiple targets with fiery blindsiding strikes as well as one ultimate strike with an explosion at its tip.
Hitodama ("Supernatural Fire Ball."): A powerful exertion of his Zanpakutō's destructive power. By charging a large volume of compressed and controlled flames into a sphere within the palm of his hand, he can fire it like an artillery cannon. With speed comparably higher than his own Hinokuruma technique, the Hitodama careens towards its target with admirably guided prowess before exploding within a pyre of super-heated flames, scorching anything within its gale to ashes, with only the most durable of beings left with a major scorching to their bodies.
Hakyuuyokukaen ("Wing Spreading Blaze"): Its name is born from its formation, appearing as a phoenix's wings surrounding the wielder, though unlike the name implies they remain closed. The flames interact with the attack in the same manner as Sano, though instead of releasing heat, they disintegrate on contact. However the defense is not absolute, as the flames lack a solid form, sufficiently powerful attacks are capable of penetrating through its defenses. This power also is unique in that it can be used offensively as well, by creating a ring surrounding Sano and his opponent. The heat generated by the flames are potent enough to cause massive waves of disorienting heat, and quickly eat through the oxygen within the enclosed space; this can quickly lead to exhaustion, even unconsciousness. This power can also be used offensively, by generating a swirling aura of fire around Sano to constantly act as a both a potent ward, and means of damaging opponents who remain in close-range. This power requires no stance, and can be willed into existence either centered around Sano or remotely with rapid speed.

【Personal Info】
【Name: Daigo Serizawa 【Nicknames: Dai, Old Man Dai (Dai-jii), Crazy Old Man 【Alias: Wild Animal 【Age: Most recent records say around 543; he himself has forgotten/neglected to remember. 【Age Appearance: Late 30's 【Gender: Male 【Race: Soul (Shinigami) 【Former Rank: 4th Seat 【Former Division: 5th Division
【Additional Appearance Info: Daigo is an intimidating old man that doesn't stand tall at only 5'5", but boasts a sinister poker face to make up for his height. Weighing 78 kg of muscle, he possesses a toned and battle-tempered build, numerous scars adorned on his rough pale olive skin. He has wavy black hair that is tied back in a messy ponytail that looks like an explosion of tangled locks. Lining his chin is an inconsistent shave; sometimes he lets it grow fully, sometimes he shaves it clean. Most times, you'll see a scruffy five o'clock shadow. Owing to his intimidation factor, Dai has piercing brown eyes with rather small pupils. For much of his time walking on earth, he sticks to his old standard issue shihakusho, his zanpakuto taking its rightful place fastened on the left side of his waist. Recently, he has attempted to try more...humanly styles of clothing, much to the embarrassment of his fellow exiled.
【Biography: For Daigo Serizawa, everything began with opening his eyes and finding himself in a place both alien and familiar simultaneously: the Rukongai. Like most souls that end up there, he remembered nothing of the life he once held, but couldn't be bothered to care even if he did. This realm he was plunged into was dangerous; one wrong step could mean the death of him. He focused on the now rather than the past or future. Having little options, Dai learned to just run away at the first sight of danger, but the day he picked up a fallen bandit's blade was the day the game changed. It was like something awakened inside of him. How natural the sword sung in his hands, it could only be fate.
Thus began the infamy of Daigo Serizawa as a renegade bladesman, fighting for his right to live in this chaotic cluster of shitty districts. Drifting between gangs and unscrupulous groups, he had a hand in countless crimes and murders, surely taking a toll on his conscience, but always justified by 'I did what I have to do'. There was little to no purpose in his 'life' besides making sure he saw tomorrow in one piece. Even when he was informed that his new existence was actually the afterlife, Daigo couldn't care less. He was the picturesque drifter; a man with blade in hand and no purpose but to fight and survive. Daily life in the Rukongai was shaped by those kind of people. And sometimes, the lucky among them rose to greatness alongside the famed Shinigami ranks. Dai never imagined himself having a place with them, the uptight enforcers of spiritual balance and law. They didn't seem like the kind of people that would take on one such as him.
Imagine his surprise when the otherwise proved to be the case.
On one seemingly normal day, Daigo was locked in combat with some upstart punks. They were fighting over a slice of bread. He dispatched them easily, poor bastards limping away on their last legs. But just when he started to walk away, he heard from them another scream. He turned back and they were gone. Completely gone. In their place was a massive, ape-like creature. All gray except for its white, macabre mask, it devoured the bodies of the punks he had beaten up. Blood stained its hands and mask. This must be a Hollow, the horrible beings that were the bane of Seireitei. For Daigo, just another enemy to slay. He daringly squared off against the Hollow, the two proving to be quite the even match. For every strike and swipe it dealt out, Dai's blade had an equally potent answer for it. Twenty grueling minutes of bloody combat later, he finally struck the final blow, killing the troublesome Hollow, but not before he could suffer significant wounds. Dai could've easily bled out, but thankfully a strike team of Shinigami moved into the scene to clean up the mess essentially. Too late for his tastes, but they had a healer with them who gladly brought him back to health, which was nice. It was clear to the Soul Reapers that this man, whoever he was, knew how to fight, at least enough to dispatch a Hollow on his own. The apparent leader of the strike team extended to him a hand of thanks and strongly suggested that he make for Shin'o Academy and become a Shinigami. After giving him some directions, they just...left as quickly as they came.
The Shinigami were an interesting sort, he'll give them that.
But the suggestion was not entirely ignored by Daigo. Having his strength recognized by the Shinigami was the closest anything has gotten him to being flattered. Perhaps with them, he could finally have purpose after all. He headed on over to Shin'o Academy, where the entrance exam found him worthy of entering. It was there that he learned the fundamentals of Shinigami conduct and pretty much perfected his code of combat. Predictably, Zanjutsu lessons were a cinch, but where he lacked was hand-to-hand combat, otherwise known as Hakuda. His Zanpakuto actually awakened while he was in the Academy. Edobashira, it was called and wielder and spirit formed a strong bond even from the get go. Hoho, the art of agility and footwork, was somewhat hard to master, but he managed. Surprisingly, he discovered an aptitude for Kido, spiritual spellcraft, which didn't seem like his style at all. It would be a lie to say that he would reject such powers, however. Daigo has seen the masters of Kido in action and their craft was more fearsome than any blade.
Skipping forward years of boring academy times, Daigo finally graduated from Shin'o Academy and was soon due to be assigned to a Division. His friends would guess that he'd go for the 11th Division, the division full of warriors, but in a shocking surprise decision, he opted to join the 5th Division. Not a soul knew why. His skill earned him the 4th Seat. Operating with the Shinigami was more fulfilling than he initially thought. It felt...great to have something to fight for, rather than just for himself. Daigo was sort of alienated in his division, being a drifter from the seedy districts of the Rukongai, but he quickly earned their respect as the years rolled onward. In this time, he frequented the realm of the living to deal with Pluses or itinerant Hollows. The man grew enamored with human culture and especially music, so much that between missions, he'd steal these machines called 'cassettes' which stored music like an Asauchi held a Shinigami's warrior spirit. Life seemed good. For a while.
Then the coup happened.
When the rogue transgressors suddenly overthrew the Gotei 13, Daigo was among many who opposed their new rule and as such, was exiled into the living world. Not that he minded. While his fellow exiles stewed in anger and despair, he quickly adapted to his new reality, like he always have. Hollows still existed and still terrorized souls. No kind of coup could stop him from acting out his duties.
【Personality: The first thing you'll notice about Daigo is his lack of seriousness. Over the years, he's grown to be a very jovial one with a positive outlook on what comes forward. Be it with friend or foe, he'll love to joke around and pretty much treats everyone with the same sort of amiable hospitality. Centuries of comparatively peaceful living with the Shinigami has dulled his volatile, warmongering edge by quite a bit. Once an emotionless fighter, Dai has learned to respect his opponents and treat them like he would his friends. Why is this? No one knows. Still, he retains one thing from his time in the Rukongai: eccentricity.
People once called him Crazy Horse due to how he acts and fights with reckless abandon. Daigo can be likened to that one annoying uncle you wish had never been born; you know he doesn't mean anything bad and respects you as a person, but makes no effort to be a bearable person himself. Some of his jokes rely on taking the piss on others and can cross the line between humor and harassment at worst. Back in his 5th Division days, he would often get reprimanded for disorderly conduct.
Daigo comes as he is. Just a simple and maybe insane old man, he feels that he has nothing to hide, so in turns makes no efforts to keep anything about him hidden. As...some have discovered, this makes him impossible to blackmail. In fact, it is notably difficult to bait his anger through conventional methods. Perhaps to counter his combative nature, Dai learns to be patient and not lash out in anger. Given his combat habits...this patience does not carry over well into actual combat.
Despite all these things he is known for, his main crux is possibly his unpredictability. You sort of feel on edge when you're with him as you never truly know what he's going to do. One moment he'll talk to you about human music and the next he's verbally ripping you a new one. Some even doubt whether Daigo himself knows what he's going to do next. I guess that's what Zanpakuto spirits are for.

【Equipment】
Walkman
A simple cassette player and earbuds that Daigo stole from the living world after a mission. He is a great fan of human music and listens to it whenever he can, even in battle. He has compiled for himself a 'mix-tape' comprised of his favorite songs.
The old blade
Before entering the Gotei 13, Daigo fought with a sword picked off a fallen thug some five centuries ago. It's a normal katana that definitely looks aged and battle-beaten, but has no other special properties (unless being oddly resilient despite its age counts). He keeps it on his person, sheathed next to Edobashira on his side, for purely sentimental reasons. Though sometimes he fights with it as an offhand weapon. Screw the haters that say dual wielding is a stupid art.
【Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
In combat, Daigo is a wild animal, fighting in a similar fashion to the Kenpachis of old. He fights with just the slightest attention to his own well-being, like a berserker. More instinctual than orderly, he often relies on outmatching the opponent through sheer brutality and strength and while he is clearly educated in 'professional' Zanjutsu, his application of it is anything but orthodox. If need be, he can also make use of his knowledge in Kido; he is not object to it like most self-proclaimed 'warriors'. Like the man himself, Dai's main bid in battle is making the enemy on edge, keep them guessing. If there's anything he can do to let their guard down, he'll do it. Dai acknowledges that he is often outclassed in terms of physical capabilities. That's why he relies on such a manic way of fighting. A confused opponent is as good as dead.
Great Reiryoku (2/4): Daigo's natural supply of spiritual power isn't anything to write home about, though the pretty good thing about that it is it becomes relatively easy to recover from battles. On average, a short breather of some three minutes can leave him ready for the next fight. Another benefit to a short Reiatsu pool is probably ease of control. Which explains how good he is at Kido despite being predominantly a swordsman. The color of his spiritual pressure, as seen when Edobashira is released, is black with purple outlines.
Unremarkable Reiatsu (1/4): As was said, he has little Reiatsu to work with, but has adequate control over it. The density of his spiritual pressure is relatively weak; feels like a gentle wave. He knows he can't intimidate anyone with that kid of Reiatsu, so he resorts to visual intimidation.
Incredible Alignment (4/4): Daigo is well-aware of what he can and can't do. Understanding one's own flaws in the mark of a true warrior, he says. He is in tune with his own self and everything his existence entails, something that he understands as quite a rarity within the Shinigami. Dai also places abnormally large amounts of trust in his zanpakuto, Edobashira. Despite knowing that their souls are one and the same, he feels that Edo knows what's best for him. That is usually the case.
Grandmaster Zanjutsu (4/4): Arguably the most formidable swordsman in the 5th Division in spite of his rank, Daigo is a man living by the blade, probably going to die by it too. It's as if he was born for it. While he obviously lacks finesse in combat and only rarely applies the technical sides of the art of Zanjutsu, he remains fearsome as an animalistic fighter that can't be broken.
Incredible Offense (4/4): Many have learned to not tangle with the scary short man with a sword. The brutality and relentlessness of Daigo Serizawa could bring envy to the warriors of the 11th. A fight with him will be bloody and crazy in nature. Some have compared fighting him to dealing with neverending waves of starving Hollows. He will end you not by outmaneuvering you or by outclassing you, but by simply running you down until you can't get up.
Unremarkable Defense (1/4): All that offense and he still is fighting like a wild animal. The slightest sense of self-preservation, Daigo doesn't really care about defense. How would he? You don't need to defend against a dead man's attacks, after all. Landing a hit on him is very easy, given you can find the opening in his brutal offense.
Impressive Resonance (3/4): Edobashira and Daigo have a strong bond. They're like best friends, always pushing each other to be the best and understanding each other in an incomparable degree. His strengths, weaknesses and interests are Edo's strengths, weaknesses and interests. While this kind of bond isn't uncommon, what sets them apart is that they have been like this pretty much since Daigo first made contact. And the bond has not wavered since.
Abysmal Hakuda (0/4): Daigo does not like hand-to-hand combat because he can't. That's pretty much why he fears the 2nd Division more than anyone else. A Hakuda fight is not a fight on his familiar ground.
Poor Offense (0/4): The technicalities of Hakuda are lost on Daigo. Poor guy can't even throw a decent punch. Imagine that. He does know how to kick someone in the groin, though, so there's that going for him.
Poor Defense (0/4): See him raise his hands to defend a strike and just watch it connect.
Impressive Physical Strength (3/4): An old man still in peak physical condition, Daigo is strong beyond his years and and pull off impressive feats of strength. It is rumored that he was once devoured by a large Hollow and ripped his way out like some horror movie piece of shit. Some underestimate the short man who can only swing his sword around like a retard, but don't be fooled. He can probably throw you across the room with ease.
Expert Kidō (2/4): Unexpectedly talented and learned in the art of Kido, Daigo doesn't shy away from this particular weapon unlike some people. He is capable of performing a wide array of both Bakudo and Hado spells, giving him an extra edge as far defense and range are considered. Some have wondered how he is able to memorize long incantations while at the same time able to forget the names of his friends.
Average Kido Power (2/4): While Daigo would sure love to have optimal destructive power, his personal reserves of Reiryoku does not allow it. As it stands, his Hado is at most comparable to a Cero. Given a boost in Reiryoku, he definitely has the knowledge to make use of that extra spiritual energy.
Poor Perception (0/4): Ah, poor Daigo. You could shoot a gun right in front of him and he'd notice it, like, five seconds later. It's hard for him to focus on anything besides his opponent and even then, his wild style of fighting is less finely slicing them to bits and more wave sword until something dies. To be fair, it's gotten him this far.
Expert Hohō (2/4): Not a fan of Shunpo at all, but Daigo is naturally quick on his feet. His small frame allows for an edge in agility and maneuverability in combat. One of the main reasons he shies away from Hoho is that going into Flash Steps makes him woozy.
Average Mobility(2/4): Daigo is notably fast and agile for an old man, able to easily dodge most attacks coming his way (if he can see it, of course). Agility in his case is more instinctual and less flashy. He's more likely to roughly jump over an attacking person to avoid it than simply Flash Stepping out of the way.
Average Resilience (2/4): Physical endurance is something he prides on having, but isn't really excelling at. He succumbs to the same wounds as the next guy, as fast as the next guy. The difference between Dai and the next guy is that he can shake off those wounds twice as fast. It's not regeneration or anything, just a will to carry on. Also, breaking him mentally is significantly more difficult.
【Specialization】
Daigo is a specialist in Hado as far as Kido is concerned, and grasps enough of Kido theory to develop his own brand of Kido spells. He is able to make use of Hado up to number 55 without incantation and Bakudo up to number 25. Aside from the mainstream Kido, below are his custom spells.
Hado/Bakudo #23. Hotarufuda (蛍札 Firefly Cards)
Incantation: When the keepers are away, the gamblers will play. Stakes are high when even shining kings play the cursed game. For all but the strongest, the only winning move is not to play. The user gathers Reiryoku between their palms and then releases it into the air, manifesting into a number of identical golden cards with random kanji written on them that scatter like flies. They then seek out the nearest sources of spiritual pressure (i.e, souls) and latch on to them for a good few seconds before exploding to deal terrible damage to the target(s). If there are no viable targets, the cards fall to the ground and dissipate back into spirit energy.
Incantation: North and south, bow to your promised lord and churn the midnight sea. East and west, be humanity's eternal barrier and shield them all from catastrophe. Earth, sky, sun, moon and stars. Everything exists for a reason. Simple, devastating and not at all subtle, the user channels the spell into a chosen point no further than three arms' reaches from the user. At that point forms a golden orb which can then be detonated into a magnificent explosion at will. Said explosion has a small radius, but the resulting ear-shattering sound can travel for almost a mile.
【Zanpakuto】
Sealed State
~"Being on the wrong end of this here blade can leave you knocking on Heaven's Door."~
Additional Description: In its sealed form, Edobashira is a simple katana that really isn't much different than the standard issue Asauchi. A clean polished blade and a black hilt, he stores it in a black sheath. Inner World & Spirit:
The Inner World of Daigo Serizawa is the small center of an old Japanese ghost town, permanently in the shadow of grey clouds as if waiting for rain that will never come. The town seems to be abandoned and left to ruin naturally and not through forceful displacement; no signs of battle (save for those made by his spars with Edobashira) There appear to be woods bordering the town, but venturing further just takes him back here. Despite the resemblance, Daigo knows that this is not a piece of the Rukongai and perhaps a remnant of his memories in life.
Edobashira, Daigo's blade spirit, is a boyish man of around his height with long white-gray hair. It wears contemporary human clothes; a white dress shirt coupled with brown chino trousers, flip-flops and a trench coat that he uses like a cape. It seemingly clings to nothing but his back. He typically bears an aloof expression.
Zanpakuto Personality: Edobashira sees his master as not a master, but a good friend. The inverse is also true. The bond between them are almost brotherly. From day one, 'Edo' treats him with respect and patience, meaning he can put up with Dai's crazy antics easily, but will gladly knock some sense into him if he's about to do something too stupid. This compatibility makes mastering Shikai easy, though both of them know that Bankai will have to wait. He can be seen as Dai's rational side; the man he could be if he wasn't so damn eccentric. While he often gives his master counsel in combat, he is well aware that the Wild Animal can handle himself just fine.
Shikai
~"Shake it down, Edobashira!"~
Ability: When released into a Shikai, Edobashira (穢土柱 Impure World Pillar) is an all-black sword with a curvature near its tip like a scimitar. It is notable for being extremely heavy in this form. Its Shikai ability is to manipulate gravity from its blade. With slashes, Daigo can send gravitational forces flying in the same direction as the slashes like a pushing wave of force. The forces he creates always overpower that of the Earth (or Soul Society. Or Hueco Mundo) and they can strangely be resisted by beings of strong Reiatsu. He can also use the blade like a sort of wand and increase or decrease the effects of gravity on an object (or person) for an indefinite time. Landing a direct attack on Daigo will temporarily disrupt any gravity effects caused by Edobashira. Gravity manipulation can only happen through his blade and only when his hand(s) are firmly on the hilt.
Unrelated to abilities, there is a chain attached to the Shikai so Dai can use it as a wicked sick flail of some sort.
Techniques
Gravity Blade (重力刀 Jūryoku-ken): Edo's basic ability, he manipulates gravitational forces by simply moving the blade in a given direction. The strength of the motion mostly dictates the strength of the force. It always moves outwards relative of Daigo's position. This technique is used to disrupt positioning and not purely as an offense. The force can bypass lesser Bakudo.
Reeling Pull (綛 Kase): The technical opposite of Gravity Blade, Daigo points Edobashira towards a person or object and gives it a pull to in turn pull said object/person towards him with gravity. Unlike the above technique, it cannot pass through any sort of Bakudo and it doesn't take much to resist it if you're prepared.
Heavy Boundary (重境界 Omokyoukai): By sticking Edobashira into the floor or ground, Daigo creates a steadily increasing field of downwards gravity with a radius of about 20 meters, slowly bringing people and objects in the vicinity down and impeding easy movement. Every five seconds, the field increases in intensity, capping out after two minutes for a total of twenty four degrees of intensity. Everyone and everything except for Dai himself is affected by this enhanced gravity field. The blade must be stuck to a surface parallel to the already existing gravitational pull of a given place. That means he can't stick it to a wall and watch everyone get slowly pulled to it. Also, he obviously can't fight with Edobashira while this ability is active lest it deactivates.
Blade Magnetism (剣磁気 Ken-jiki): Ignoring the misleading name for a second, Edobashira can pull incoming attacks towards the blade and away from Daigo's body. It only works at a really close range and is usually used to make a clutch block that he can't normally pull off.

【Personal Info】
【Name: Amatus Kokoro 【Nicknames: Kido Hollow, Spellmask 【Age: 524 【Gender: Male 【Race: Human → Plus → Shinigami → Hollow 【Form: Greater Gillian
【Appearance Info: Amatus stands roughly three stories tall in height, their monstrous size owing to their state as a Gillian. Despite this, their form is highly defined, indicative of their proximity to the threshold of evolution into an Adjuchas. They have a long, prehensile, serpentine tail that drags behind them along with two cloven, ungulate legs, and a largely featureless and squat torso with four relatively small, frail arms extending from the shoulders and abdomen. The head features a prominent ridge of bone that sweeps from the collar up and around to encompass the upper end of the neck. Their Mask features four thin swept-back horns, thick, lowered ridge-crests that adorn the eyes, a prominent skeletal nose, and a recessed mouth with externally mounted teeth.
【Biography: Amatus remembers almost none of their life as a living Human, save that they were a priest of some form. They died in their autumn years during the brief cusp when physical ability is briefly matched by wisdom, and so enjoyed a brief period of prosperity upon their arrival in soul society due to their friendly and sociable nature, relatively high intellect, and their ability to take advantage of what opportunities were afforded him. For a time he lived a comfortable existence in the Eleventh Western District of Rukongai, living with a group of well-to-do associates and working as an accountant for a gambling den.
As would be lamented by Amatus for the next few hundred years, his life took a turn for the worse the day he gained an appetite. He learned that only individuals with the potential for spiritual growth, who could potentially become Shinigami, felt hunger and needed to eat. His many friends warned him that there was no happiness to be found amongst the Shinigami, that he would be stuck doing nothing but selfless and tedious work for a thousand years without nothing thankful to come out of it. However, Amatus was not one to let opprotunities go to waste - so he immediately set out to enter the Shin'ō Academy.
The entrance exam proved to be of immense difficulty to Amatus. Amongst his group of applicants he had the highest score possible on the written examination, and the lowest score possible in the physical portion. He only passed when one of the proctors gave him an extra point on the premise that it would have been a shame to see such an intellect go to waste - but he was placed in the lowest class of new students, being the only member thereof, and to this day one of his greatest shames is standing alone in his section during the acceptance ceremony, with hundreds of onlookers staring incredulously.
The academy was unkind to Amatus during his education there. He continued to perform poorly in every subject save for Kido, up until he was taught how to use his reiatsu in order to amplify his strength and speed - which, even strengthed, were merely sub-par. He made rivals with another student by the name of Arina Kawagana, a noble in the first class of students, who frequently taunted and mocked him for his inability to do anything properly. His frequent verbal bouts with her instilled within him a dreadful hate of the Nobility of Soul Society that persists until this day.
When he eventually graduated, he was one of the few students who was simply flat-out denied permission to even attempt to apply to either the Onmitsukidō or the Gotei 13. Determined to nonetheless reach prominence in Seireitei, he applied and was readily accepted to the Kido Corps due to his stellar ability with Kido, an ability with which he had already been ranked as having Mastery over - another shame of his, given that the only reason he could not attain the rank of Grandmaster was due to his lack of the reiatsu needed to cast the higher spells.
Upon entering the Kido Corps, Amatus thought for a time that his troubles were over and that all would quickly given way to his skill and talent - until he made the horrified discovery that not only was every single graduate that was accepted alongside him Noble, but that most of the Kido Corps hierarchy was as well. Amatus was immediately crushed within the insular hierarchy of the Corps, completely unable to jockey for position with any of his peers due to a complete lack of Noble status. He found himself having to work five times as hard to earn even half the credit, and nearly ever effort he made to advance in the ranks found him being punished for acting above his station. His hatred for the Nobility only grew more and more profound, reaching its zenith as he learned that his old rival Arina had attained captaincy in short order by recommendation, without her even having achieved Bankai.
Entering a state of despondency, Amatus' work was affected and he found himself relegated to Senkaimon duty. Maintaining the passageway between Soul Society and the World of the Living, Amatus found an unlikely friendship in Daigo Serizawa, who frequently used the Senkaimon to spend time in the World of the Living. In a scheme between the two, Amatus was able to create a small Reishi Henkan-Ki for Daigo in order to smuggle items from the Living World back into Seireitei, in exchange for Daigo bring back a few occasional items for Amatus - mostly consisting of self-help books and get-rich-quick pamphlets.
Amatus' second life in Soul Society eventually came to an abrupt end when he was called in for maintenance to fix a problem with the Senkaimon, as it was being reported that the opening in the World of the Living was not opening and instead showing a completely featureless, black void. Amatus stepped into the Dangai in order to investigate, and was immediately sucked through its entire length and into the void - as it turned out to be the open maw of a Menos Grande, standing directly in front of the open Senkaimon in the World of the Living and inhaling deeply once it sensed a victim in the Dangai. Amatus was killed instantly and his soul dumped into the vast ocean that was the Menos Grande's aggregate being.
Mere hours later, with no small amount of surprise and shock, Amatus regained consciousness as an Emergent Gillian. Despite the extreme statistical unlikelihood, his mind had somehow overcome the thousands of others composing the Menos Grande, and he had asserted willful control over it - forcing it to evolve into a Gillian in the process.
Amatus found that the new way of things agreed with him tremendously, despite the shortcomings of the Hollow form - bestowed with relatively tremendous strength and speed wholly beyond what he had possessed before, and with even more reiryoku than he could have dreamed of, he was also surprised to learn that he retained the use of his Kido despite having lost his heart. This gave him an immense advantage amongst his fellow Hollows, and using Bakudō he was often able to consume dozens at once with little to no actual effort on his part. Soon, the pressing hunger that threatened to swallow his mind receded, while his form gradually grew smaller and more distinct.
Venturing out from the Forest of Menos and into the Wastes of Hueco Mundo, Amatus joined with a band of other Gillian and shortly learned both of his own unique Hollow Ability as well as of Las Noches. Using his ability to form conduits with his new allies, he took command over them and led the way to Las Noches, using his command over his fellows along with his Kido to overcome any other bands they came across. When they arrived at Las Noches itself, Amatus was able to grant himself audience with the Custodian by dominating the mind of the Adjuchas barring entry to the palace. Managing to pique the interest of the Custodian with promises of insight into the Shinigami ways and of forbidden knowledge of Hollows and the Nature of the Soul, Amatus was given a place in the Court of Low Souls and given the task of establishing a laboratory.
Now there he dwells, plotting on how to enhance his power and status further amongst his kind as his thoughts turn to the Shinigami, amongst whom he had such difficult in his second life...
【Personality: Amatus is ultimately a largely reasonable and intelligent individual who is fairly friendly and accommodating, only growing upset when his personal aspirations and efforts are derided or otherwise obstructed. He is easygoing, cheerful, generous, slow to anger, forgiving of mistakes, reasonably patient, and can see the best in most people. However, he can become sullen and eventually infuriated if he is belittled or insulted, especially if his intellect or his capabilities are mocked. He also has a passionate hatred for Nobility, and becomes irrational when thinking about them or dealing with them. While he is slow to anger, once he forms a grudge he nurses it, teaches it to speak and walk, puts it through school, gets it a job, attends its wedding, attends its convalescences, its funeral, and then has its corpse stuffed and mounted on the parlor wall. Once angered, he will never let it go or forget it, and will descend with disproportionate fury and anger - at least, to the extent he is capable. He maintains a great many grudges he was unable to act upon in Soul Society that he only now has the power to act upon...

NAME: Arina Kawagana
Amatus and Arina met during the education in the Academy, and were immediately at odds. Amatus struggled at everything but Kido while Arina coasted through mainly on her social status, good looks and not much else, and constantly tormented Amatus to no end over his shortcomings. After they both graduated and matured a little their rivalry mellowed, but Amatus has always held a grudge over how everything she has attained has been effortless for her, without her ever having had to work for it.
NAME: Daigo Serizawa
Amatus and Daigo became partners in crime of a sort when Amatus enabled Daigo to smuggle items from the world of the living back into Seireitei via a small, handmade Reishi Henkan-Ki. They became easy if somewhat distant friends due to their frequent meetups through Daigo's use of the Senkaimon.
【Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
Amatus is not particular fast and is very physically weak - they can barely even defend themselves at melee range, which is just fine because even if they could they do not have the strength to make any kind of defense they might make effective. Once caught up to, he is little more than a punching bag. Thankfully for Amatus, he is a very durable punching bag - what he lacks in strength he more than makes up for in hardiness. His Mask is even stronger than his body, eliminating it as a weak point, and his inherent Hollow powers are strong enough that his high speed regeneration is both obscenely fast and effective. So anybody can come along and beat him up for hours or even days without killing him.
...Or at least they could, if Amatus did not have large Reiatsu, excellent Hollow powers, plus the unique advantage of retained Kido as a Hollow. His severely caustic Reiatsu makes him very difficult to approach, a task made all the more difficult by his frequent use of both Hadō and Bakudō, supplemented with Ceros and the very occasional surprise attack where Amatus uses his reiatsu to amplify his physical strength to more considerable heights. Amatus' overall strategy in battle is to form a center of power around himself that most foes cannot enter easily, or at least not without great risk to themselves - and then to begin shredding them from afar with high-powered spells and abilities. Even if Amatus is caught offguard, the immense difficulty in actually killing him usually gives him time to fire off a reflex-Cero and buy himself some more distance.
Reiryoku: 3 Reiatsu: 4 Integrity: 4
Amatus came into a great surplus of Reiryoku and Reiatsu upon being eaten and turning into a Hollow, and even hundreds of years later he is still adjusting to his relatively rapid rate of growth. While he never had a great degree of reiryoku or reiatsu as a Shinigami, he knew all the proper methods and techniques for manipulating and shaping it, which served him well as a Hollow with an explosive degree of growth potential.
Mask: 4 Hunger: 3 Rigidity: 4 Instinct 4
Amatus' abrupt transformation into a Hollow was not particularly severe in and of itself, but was perhaps more pronounced in the sense that the change was not an unwelcome one. Amatus' was greatly convenienced by his second death, acquiring power far beyond what his frail, Human body had been able to provide, and although the eternal, insatiable hunger was agonizing, hundreds of years of thankless toil had prepared him well for acclimatizing to the agony. The final nail in the coffin was the essential despondency and impotent rage Amatus had brewed up over the centuries due to the inadequacies of his Human life - all these factors combined resulted in a being practically made to be Hollow, and so the initial severity of his transformation was intense, and the following growth in power swift. As a result, Amatus' mask is as durable as his body, and his reiatsu is both extremely caustic and hard to repulse.
Form: 0 Offense: 0 Defense: 0 Strength: 0
While Amatus gained three stories in height from his transformation, the increase in strength was merely relative. While he is strong compared to a Human, most spiritual beings could overpower him with ease. While he has four arms, they are all underdeveloped and frail, being more suited to finesse and weaving delicate kido than for wild haymakers or crosses. However, one should be wary about straying within arms' length for too long, as Amatus has been known to amplify their strength from nonexistent to dangerous using their reiatsu in order to go for a melee surprise attack that can take his opponents off-guard.
Power: 4 Hollow Power: 4 Perception: 2
Prior to his second death, even though he had been consigned to Senkaimon duty and was practically a living joke in the hierarchy, Amatus was in fact a Kido Grandmaster who far outclassed his peers, and was in truth one of the leading experts in his field - or would have been had he received any due recognition. His ability carried over quite well as a Hollow, as he had a encyclopedic knowledge of all known Hollow abilities and powers, giving him insight into their use beyond what other Hollows possessed. Combined with his excellent reiatsu manipulation and drive, he was able to manifest all of his Hollow powers at a superb level in short order - even as a lowly Gillian, Amatus can fire Ceros that can overwhelm most Adjuchas.
Speed: 1 Agility: 1 Biorythm: 0
As much as Amatus' form is poorly suited for melee brawls, it also lacks the strength to grant him particularly outstanding speed. The best that can be said of him is that he is light on his feet. Furthermore, although Amatus has astounding high speed regeneration capabilities, even modest melee attacks can stagger or else send him flying, leaving him serious disoriented, unbalanced, and distracted by pain for a while - though one should be wary of blind-fired Ceros if they harry him overmuch.
【Specialization】
Double-Dual Casting:
Taking advantage of his forms' four arms, Amatus can supercharge two different Kido spells or Ceros at once by using two hands to charge up each one - or, alternatively, to megacharge a single Kido or Cero using all four arms. The resulting increase in power is immense, but naturally requires an accompanying large investment of reiatsu to fuel.
Surprise!
Amatus feigns exaggerated staggers and flinches during his foe's attack, and then in the middle of their next combo briefly supercharges his physical strength using an abrupt surge of reiatsu to his limbs while also using several pre-prepared Bakudō cast prior to the fight, stunning his opponent before using his four limbs to pin their arms to their sides and lifting them into the air before blowing them away with an overcharged Cero. Due to having two arms with specific point-leverage on each of his victim's limbs, Amatus reduces the total strength needed to immobilize them by preventing them from being unable to leverage all of the strength in their limbs, hopefully leaving them struggling helplessly in the air if they somehow overcome the paralyzing kido. The duration of both the strength amplification and the various Bakudō is extremely brief, lasting only a few seconds - which is more time than Amatus truly needs.
【Hollow Ability】
~"That conduit he formed did more than power me up - it felt like I knew everything he did while it was up."~
Ability: Amatus can forcefully distort his own reiatsu and that of other Hollows, forming conduits between them and forming a symbiotic link. While connected, every joined Hollow gains a significant boost to their reiatsu that scales according to how many other Hollows are joined and how powerful each one is. On top of that, a pseudo-telepathic link is established between them all, allowing for seamless and instantaneous coordination.
When used on entities who are not Hollows - Shinigami for example - the inherent difference in nature between the respective fields of reiatsu renders the symbiotic connection impossible unless the Shinigami willingly suppresses their own reiatsu. However, Amatus can still successfully distort a Shinigami's reiatsu in order to force a connection, preventing them from using any abilities dependent upon manipulation of their emitted reiatsu such as pressure waves, though not invested abilities such as Kido and certain Zanpakuto moves. The forced connection is usually also beneficial for Amatus in that it allows him to more efficiently and at a longer range consume the reiatsu of his opponents.
Ability Techniques
Escuadrón Cero: Every Hollow linked via the conduit contributes power through the conduit that gathers at a focal point in the sky overhead, culminating in a massive Cero which discharges as a sustained stream that tracks after opponents for a while before vanishing.
Incruento Cadencia: Amatus temporarily suppresses the reiatsu-boost provided by the conduit to instead turn the effects to amplifying the Biorythm of every linked Hollow.
Alva Taladrar: Amatus modifies the conduit from his end into a focused, piercing spear formed to shear through an opponent's reiatsu rather than clashing with it. Upon direct contact with an opponent's physical body, Amatus gains brief motor control over it, as well as access to all surface thoughts they have at the time. The duration of control and access to their thoughts is very limited, as the conduit is inevitably severed immediately by their resurging reiatsu cutting off the conduit - it typically grants Amatus enough time to make them start to take a single step or to start to make a single gesture. The only circumstance in which this ability would afford Amatus extended control would be if the opponent barely had any reiatsu whatsoever left. Even an opponent with very weak reiatsu could still reliably cut off this ability, since the clash of opposing reiatsus alone is sufficient to disrupt it rather than being determined by any kind of difference in spiritual pressure.
【Additional Appearance Info: Standing at roughly five feet six inches and weighing a mere one-hundred sixteen pounds Rēku wears the standard outfit of the old gotei with the exception of her haori. Her haori she replaced the symbol of her division with the symbol of her clan, the Tatasuko. Her zanpakuto rests vertically upon her back directly at the center. The strap at the front of her body a shimmering black with a buckle also in the shape of the Tatasuko clan's symbol.
【Biography: Tatasuko, Sunōfurēku a girl known by her peers as Rēku, became one of the youngest lieutenant to date. Dying at such an early age not many had hope for the child, but she showed high promise to at least one shinigami who adopted her and sent her to the academy, which she graduated from ahead of schedule and achieved her shikai not long after. Making lieutenant only thirteen years after her shikai appeared Rēku was easily on the fast track to success leaving many to wonder just how far she would reach, and also just how fast.
To most peoples not so much surprise Rēku did not advance in an explosive way after that point. As most shinigami know that reaching higher than that takes a lot of time, experience, and effort usually even for a rare gifted individual. Luckily Rēku had found her place in the ninth division. For a few years several throughout the Gotei 13 thought that letting someone so young and inexperienced was the biggest joke ever made by the captain of the ninth division. Of course this did not express the feelings of the division in which she was lieutenant of for they had seen her with their own eyes while on missions. She had earned the respect of all of her division within a year and any new person to the squad was quickly taught a lesson.
What finally gained Rēku the respect of the other divisions was an attack in one of the districts by a abnormally large number of hollows. The response force was overwhelmed and probably would have been slaughtered. Luckily for them Rēku had been out exploring the districts for some personal time alone from the divisions when it had taken place and arrived in time to kill the hollows and save the Gotei members. After that event most people within the Gotei began to respect Rēku as a lieutenant and started looking at the good qualities that she had, quickly noting her aptitude for kido, and the control she had over her zanpakuto.
After that event the next century went by with little incident. Rēku killed hollows, kept the peace, and tended to her duties as lieutenant. Then one day Captain Takeyama told her that he wanted her to succeed him as captain of their division one day and so he decided to take her out and train with her every day for a few hours as long as the job didn't interfer with anything. Finally after another two centuries Rēku challenged her captain. The entire division had known the day would come. No one hated Rēku for challenging Captain Takeyama. The fight lasted roughly thirty minutes of back and forth kido being launched and deflected, their zanpakuto clashed, and finally Captain Takeyama changed things up when he released his earth based zanpakuto Ishi Jūden-ki. Rēku kindly responded with releasing her own zanpakuto Ryūshi Tōzoku. After that the battle was over in only a few more minutes with then former Captain Takeyama on his knees acknowledging he had lost to the new captain of the division.
Being called Captain Tatasuko by most was a little odd at first for Rēku. The man who adopted her, her father, Zume was the captain of the twelfth division. So now there were two captains with the same name. Of course her father probably wasn't surprised at all, but he made it known that he was proud of her and her achievements thus far and that made Rēku proud of herself. At this point she was still extremely young for being a captain. In the end even if someone wanted to, they couldn't say anything since she had defeated her captain with the appropriate wittnesses. The nice thing was she could still go visit her old captain for advice, or just to vist which is what it normally was. Of course there were still whispers about her age once more since she was now a captain and only looked nineteen years old. She had grown used to it though and flat out didn't care by this point.
At this point Rēku would seem to disappear a few days at a time but always seemed to make it back before anyone really worried. She still managed to make to every meeting, even any emergency meeting so no one ever complained. This went on for another century until one day the entire Seireitei was invaded. Everyone was driven to the world of the living. Disgraced with defeat the Gotei had spread out among the world. This gave her plenty of time to work on what she had been working on before. Finally Rēku had mastered her bankai.
【Personality: Like many children, Rēku began as a little brat, but over the centuries she mellowed out and matured. Despite her youthful appearance she learned much from the long years. To her friends she became kind, gentle, and even caring. To her father she was a serious and dedicated--if the somewhat egotistical. To her foes she was ruthless and without mercy as in her eyes they were worthless, and she had no issue revealing this to them. As with all people Rēku is a person with many facets, though many are harder to define.

Zume adopted Rēku only a few years after she appeared in one of the districts. So Rēku has known Zume essentially her entire life and has dedicated herself to proving herself worthy of his acceptance. To her Zume is probably the most important person in existence due to him saving her, raising her, and even giving her the chance to become a shinigami.

Fighting Style:
Rēku tends to go for a more strategic style of fighting. She isn't one for hacking and slashing, or punching things. Rēku tends to use her zanpakuto's abilities, and mixes in kido since that's her specialty. Whether she crashes a building on top of someone, or blasting them with a kido point blank to make an opening for the one strike she'll make with her zanpakuto physically. She will do anything creative to get the job done.
Creating a white cube in the user's hand, this spell is activated by crushing the white cube of reishi. Upon being crushed, an opaque black sphere will engulf a 4 meter radius, with the user being the central point. This opaque sphere does not allow reiatsu, some reiryoku, sound, smells, and even light to pass through it, making it a sensory dead zone. However, its true purpose goes beyond this, as should someone be caught within it, they will be rendered unable to move—the sole exclusion being the user. Should the user move, the sphere will remain in the same location it was activated in. As only certain forms of reiryoku may escape it, the sphere will persist for a potentially indefinite amount of time, as it is a closed system, never losing or leaking the energy that maintains it.
Should someone simply be touched by the black sphere, rather than being wholly trapped within, they will find that whatever part of their body was touched, becomes incapable of channeling or manipulating reiryoku as if the pathways which it travels along in the body have been sealed. Until the material is removed from their body or the kido deactivated by its user, this effect will persist.
Bakudo #68 Saiten tsume(採点爪 'Marking talon'):
Requiring the user to keep their finger trained on the target, this spell, after ten seconds of sustained pointing, during which time they succeed in following their target’s movements, the kido will create a small physical mark somewhere on their body. Once this mark forms, a link is created between individuals, allowing the caster to sense the target. This effect is one way, and may be disrupted by way of using reiatsu to destroy the mark laid by the kido.
Bakudo #60, Enkeikousoku(Binding circle):
After chanting, a spell is planted in the ground that activates after being stepped on. It releases a light in a pillar upwards, immobilizing whatever stepped on it, similar to Geki, though several times stronger. Once cast, the ground glows once before disappearing. Thanks again Gan!
【Zanpakuto】
Sealed State
~"Ryūshi Tōzoku, you're more beautiful than the stars around us."~
Additional Description:
Inner World & Spirit:
Zanpakuto Personality:
Shikai
~"Devour and create...Ryūshi Tōzoku."~
Ability: Ryūshi Tōzoku's ability is to convert the matter it touches into an unstable energy particle that seems to float in the air as shimmering light. Ryūshi Tōzoku accomplishes this by letting matter pass through the blade which is actually a casing. While matter is inside the blade it is converted into the special particle and then released. The factor for which allows Ryūshi Tōzoku to break down matter as it passes through the blade is a black hole. In fact there are twenty seven back holes in total along this twenty-seven inch blade each encased in a one inch blade bit.
Each blade bit is essentially an arrowhead but in a one inch shape of the tip of a double edged sword and can detach from the rest of the blade bits. While it looks as if they fly through the air independently, they actually are being pulled forward by taking in whatever is in its path. These bits are capable of turning, not at a very sharp angle while alone, but when more than one blade bits are around they are capable of messing with gravity enough to move more unpredictably, and more if enough are working together.
Now when you get down to the speed of the blade bits, each one individually can move seven meters a second and for each connected blade bit it can move an additional seven meters per second. This adds up to twenty-seven total blade bits that can detach together. This adds up to a maximum of one-hundred eighty-nine meters per second. It should also be noted that this will also affect how quickly it can turn around.
Techniques
Name: Shōten bakushuku(焦点爆縮 'Focal point implosion') is a technique utilizing a variable amount of blade bit working together in a ring, or circle of some kind to create a gravitational force which heavily pulls on everything around it. The more blades in the ring the stronger the pull.
Name: Jūryokuido(重力井戸 'Gravity Well') is a technique utilizing all twenty-seven blade bits to create a tornado of blade bits going in multiple directions. This causes a gravitational pull that pulls on everything in the surrounding area. The huge difference between this technique and Bakushuku chūshin is that things that try and pass through this tornado to the center are quickly ripped apart and drawn into the surrounding blade bits creating the problem in the first place. It also doesn't pull nearly as hard as the highest level of Bakushuku chūshin and is more like Shōten bakushuku in between its middle and highest levels.
Bankai
~"Bankai...Sugureta Ryūshi Tōzoku."~
Ability: In bankai Ryūshi Tōzoku takes in all of the energy particles created while in shikai. Each particle being capable of charging a house for a month before starting to fade. At first this would seem like a ton of energy, which it is., however the amount that Ryūshi Tōzoku requires for each technique is on a whole different scale. The ability for Ryūshi Tōzoku in bankai is simply to utilize the unstable particles after stabilizing them through the activation of the bankai itself. The blade bits of Ryūshi Tōzoku become superheated burning and melting whatever it comes into contact with it as a by product of the super condensed energy.
Techniques
Name: Joji hei(助辞塀 ‘Particle Wall’) - Between three or more blade bits Ryūshi Tōzoku is capable of generating a defensive field. The more blade bits in the field the stronger it gets, but this is also somewhat related to how many particles were generated in shikai.
Name: Ha soryūshi no (刃素粒子の 'Blade element') - Ryūshi Tōzoku is able to launch a beam of condensed energy that matches the dimensions of the blade, except length. This beam does not fire off of the blade but is an extension of the blade itself. The length of the beam is limited depending on how many blade bits are connected to the blade bit.
Name: Konzetsu wana(根絶罠 'Eradication trap') - When there is a field of blade bits in the area they can create a barrier around a targeted area. After forming this barrier to entrap a target the can generate a massive amount of energy throughout the area blasting it with extreme force and energy essentially melting and evaporating what’s inside the barrier. Upon breaking down the barrier it is as if nothing was ever there.
Name: Renketsu(連結 'consolidation') - The first part of the final technique for Ryūshi Tōzoku is condensing all of the energy gathered into a single blade bit. This allows the blade bit to move at the speed of a shunpo in the third degree.
Name: Gisei shōmetsu(犠牲消滅 'Sacrificial annihilation') - The second part of the final technique of Ryūshi Tōzoku is caused when the user uses their full Reiryoku to crack the blade bit and encase it. Once this happens the user may send the blade bit flying. Finally though, when the casing fails, all of the stored energy is released in a massive explosion. This explosion is dependent on how much energy is stored in the blade bit, however it will most likely never be defined as a ‘small’ explosion.
【Name: Les Entrada 【Nicknames: The Ancient One 【Age: Approx. 2000 【Gender: Male 【Race: Human → Plus → Hollow 【Form: Gillian
【Appearance Info: Despite being a Gillian, it does not have the uniform appearance of its kind. While the vast majority of its body adheres to the standard black coloring, it has a mask which more closely resembles a skull. Unlike the typical Gillian, the mask almost completely covers the top half of its face, leaving the lower jaw, mouth, and chin exposed. It has an extremely long tongue, a fact which is hidden due to its mouth extending to the back of its elongated neck. However, it should be noted that Les Entrada also stands at approx. 6 stories in height. Possessing segments of bones lining portions of its body. Its arms are large and bat-like in shape, with thin, translucent webbing between each finger. Which, due to their extraordinarily elongated nature, can also be used as wings. Although it's body appears prominently reptilian, it is also capable of walking upright, upon it's hind legs. At which point, it folds its wings in as to form a sort of cloak. It is at this time that it reaches its full height, on all fours, this height is divided by three. A large Hollow hole is located on its sternum. Large enough to fit a bus through. Les Entrada's skin constantly drips as in is stuck in an endless loop of putrefaction.
【Biography: Although the truth of its origins remain unknown, the terror that is Les Entrada is said to be the accumulation of the first souls which were consumed in Hueco Mundo over the millennia. While its appearance within Huecco Mundo was once common place, with records of its appearance dating as far back as two thousand years ago, it seemed to retreat into solitude roughly five hundred years ago. In fact, its existence would have been passed off as mere myth, were it not reported responsible for the deaths of several shinigami squads over the span of that time. Thus, it eventually became feared by inexperienced shinigami as a pseudo boogeyman among hollows. An unstoppable force which, if met, would devour all. Interestingly, the story was much the same for the hollows. Many of which feared the beast they came to name Les Entrada. Fearing not its form, but its ability to consume from within. Despite having failed to evolve past the gillian state, it remains one of the most feared hollows among shinigami. As of late, there have been reports which claim it now dwells within the human world.
【Personality: A cold, ruthless, and malevolent force. Les Entrada is a true alexithymic. Completely devoid of love, compassion, and mercy. While it believes the world to be "rotten." Thus uses its abilities as a means by which it can enact its will to rid the world of "unworthy" people. As a monster feared for its ferocity, and often, extreme cruelty, it rarely aims to kill until its target has been completely disabled and humiliated. Hence freely taunts and belittles its opponents, often allowing them to inflict seemingly fatal wounds before healing itself and counterattacking. The only exception being when it is in a starved state. At which point it seems to focus solely on killing its prey as efficiently as possible. It should be noted that this is its most dangerous stage.
Yet, the beast is not simply one of instinct. Possessing a sort of hive mind. Ruled a conglomerate of distinct aspects; Destruction - which fuels its aggression and willingness to engage in combat, Greed - which fuels its desire to consume. Not to be confused with Intoxication - which governs the enjoyment of the act. Loneliness - which pushes it to seek out others. And lastly, Madness - which governs the barbarous nature of all its actions. While these aspects were all once the individual personalities of those it had consumed, each has been warped throughout the ages into the raw characteristics they now embody. Whenever two or more of these aspects come into conflict, decisions are made when one of the aspects manage to rally the support of most of its many souls behind it.
While it frequently displays exemplary intelligence, the only time this intelligence is obviously recognizable is when it possesses another entity. At which point, provided it is inherently capable of speech, it will on occasion utter simple, yet blunt phrases. Although the words spoken are dependent on which aspect has currently rallied the most support.
【Notable Traits】
【Likes/Dislikes】 As the Entity that is Les Entrada possesses no specific persona, existing simply to exist, it neither likes nor dislikes anything.
When possessing a host, Les Entrada tends to adapt an incredibly reckless and offensive strategy. Attacking the enemy with the full extent of it's host's capabilities, without concern for their well being. It will even go as far as sacrificing its current host in order to subdue a potentially fatal foe. However, when fighting without a host, Entrada fights much as one might expect from an wild animal. Albeit, a wild six story dragon, but an animal none the less. Often moving to subdue opponents with its massive size and clawed limbs. Although it should be noted that it is proficient in the use of its tail, its true gimmick is its jaw. As Les Entrada rarely resorts to fully extending its jaw, most enemies assume its bite to possess a normal range for its size. Yet, when it does fully utilize the capability of its jaw size, it is capable of fitting the entire width of the average Menos within its mouth.

【Specialization】
Novio Cero:
Although it has a very large charge time, Les Entrada launches ceros in the form of a stream of flames. Although these cero maintain the standard red coloring, they look as if Entrada is simply breathing bright red flames. Flames which, upon contact, set the target ablaze. Thus, while they deal less concusive damage than the average cero, they also sustained damage over time. Provided the target remains ablaze.
Cero Envolversa
After preparing as it would for a Novio Cero, Les Entrada can detonate the cero within its mouth. Then, by creating small openings in its mouth along its neck, engulf itself within it. Wearing it as a type of cloak. This allows it to set ablaze any non reiatsu protected substance in its flame.
【Hollow Ability】
~"With him inside me, I am whole."~
Comienzo: When completely subjugated by its aspect of loneliness in the presence of another living being, Les Entrada is capable of possessing it. While it is capable of, in theory, doing so indefinitely, there are a myriad of factors which ultimately effect its ability to do so. They are as follows;
Possession Timer: The length of time in which it can possess a body before having to make a second possession attempt, subject to the rules below.
Expulsion Timer: The length of time needed to expel it from a soul which is parasitically infested but not under its control.
The relative length of both Timers is dependent upon whether or not the Entrada is currently in combat or not. When out of combat, the Possession Timer is an entire hour long, while the Expulsion Timer is equal to an hour times the difference between its Hollow Power score and either the Victim's Alignment or Resonance (or Hollow Power) score. During combat however, the Soul undergoes extreme stress that shortens both timers considerably. In combat, the Possession Timer is only five minutes long, while the Expulsion Timer is equal to five minutes times the difference in its Hollow Power score and either the victim's Resonance or Alignment (or Hollow Power) score.
If it fails an attempt to take control of a Host, it may make another attempt either once per hour or once every five minutes, dependent upon whether the host body is in or out of combat.
For Possessing Shinigami:
1. Before attempting possession, its Hollow Power score is compared with the victim's Resonance and Alignment scores. If either the victim's Resonance or Alignment scores are greater than its Hollow Power score, possession is impossible and any attempts made result in immediate ejection from the soul.
2. If its Hollow Power score is equal to or greater than the victim's Resonance and Alignment scores, it may burrow into their soul and then attempt to seize control over it. Entering the inner world of the host soul and engagig in mental combat with the owner. For the purposes of combat within the inner world, most of its stats will no longer be relevant since the battle is purely mental, and so its physical attributes and skills are no longer relevant. Instead, Les Entrada must use only its Reiryoku, Instinct, and Hollow Power scores to determine its relative strength, while the Shinigami must use only their Reiryoku, Alignment, and Resilience scores to determine their relative strength.
3. If it the mental battle, they cannot take control of the host soul, and the Expulsion Timer begins to count down.
4. If it wins the mental battle, it gains control over the host soul, and the Possession Timer begins to count down. All of the host soul's spiritual powers are supplanted by those of Entrada's instead, meaning their reiatsu would become caustic and they would gain its Hollow abilities. Entrada would retain only the physical stats of the host body while possessing it.
5. After each successful possession attempt, Entrada may choose to corrupt 1 point of the host soul's Reiryoku. If all of a host soul's Reiryoku is corrupted, they die and are consumed by it. However, for each point of their Reiryoku corrupted this way, they gain a bonus point of Alignment for all subsequent mental battles. It may choose not to corrupt a point of the host's Reiryoku and potentially occupy their body indefinitely if it can reliably subdue the host's mental persona.
6. A Shinigami can only use their Resonance score to prevent possession and to expel Etrada if they have their Zanpakuto. If they are disarmed prior to possession, they cannot use their Resonance score, even if it is higher than its Hollow Power score. If Entrada takes control over their soul, it can discard their Zanpakuto in order to completely get rid of the Expulsion Timer until the Zanpakuto is brought back into close proximity. However, this also means the Expulsion Timer is always running for as long as the host body is close to the Zanpakuto.
7. A Shinigami can only use their Alignment score to prevent possession and to expel Entrada if they have access to specific Alignment techniques. If they do not have access to these Alignment techniques, they cannot use their Alignment score, even if it is higher than its Hollow Power score. Additionally, even if the Shinigami does have access to those specific Alignment techniques, the Expulsion Timer will only run if Entrada does not have control over the host soul.
For Possessing Hollows:
1. As with Shinigami, only instead compare both respective Hollow Power scores instead.
2. As with Shinigami, but for the mental battle both opponents use their respective Reiryoku, Instinct, and Hollow Power scores.
3. As with Shinigami.
4. As with Shinigami, except its spiritual powers do not supplant theirs. Entrada instead gains complete access to all of their stats, Hollow Powers, and their unique ability.
5. As with Shinigami, except the host soul gains a bonus point to Instinct for each point of their Reiryoku it chooses to corrupt.
6. A Hollow may always use its Hollow Power score to prevent possession and to expel it. However, the Expulsion Timer will only run if Entrada is not in control of the host soul.
Ability Techniques
Hoyo Negro: The technique used by Les Entrada to enter the bodies of its prey. It allows the hollow to momentarily project its spirit essence into the victim, initiating the battle for dominance. The projection always enters the body via the chest, appearing to phase through the spot where their heart or hollow hole would be, and then into their being.
【Additional Appearance Info: Shizuka stands at five feet seven inches, weighing in at one hundred and twenty four pounds. Despite her slender build, Shizuka has wide hips and sizable breasts. Her hair is long, straight and dyed dark blue. Styled with a triangular fringe at the front that barely touches the ridge of her nose. Her eyes are a clear blue. Her lips tinted a pale pink. As Tomoe, Shizuka wears a black sports bra, a pair of black skinny jeans, and a set of low-cut Chuck Taylors. Which are all black. A black sword bag is also always carried with her, in which she keeps a wooden bokken sword. As her zanpakuto was destroyed by the Central 46 following her sentence to exile.
【Personality: In light of her sarcastic and witty nature, Shizuka always acts in an intelligent and aristocratic manner. Frequently using honorifics when addressing everyone, ally and enemy a like. A feat which often causes her to appear apathetic towards others, even whilst internally conflicted. Due to her upbringing, Shizuka generally reacts indifferently, nigh arrogantly, to most situations she is faced with. Rarely viewing an opponent, or obstacle, as being worth her time. It should also be noted that in lieu of acts of immediate violence, Shizuka will often resort to sadistic and tortuous means of retaliation when offended. In addition to being a sadist, Shizuka is also a masochist and blood thirsty by nature. She has come to resent the soul society for exiling her to the world of the living so very long ago.

【Name: Hogo-sha 【Nicknames: N/A 【Alias: N/A 【Age: He has long forgotten 【Gender: Male 【Race: Human ---> Plus ----> Hollow 【Form: Greater Adjuchas
【Additional Appearance Info: Having evolved to this stage Hogo-sha is oddly unique looking. He seems to have almost a liquid like form, and can move way more differently than most Hollows, moving his body almost like a snake can. On all four he stands at about six feet tall. He is also not very wide at all. Being smaller than a bus but larger than a truck, so roughly about twenty five feet With his tail extended however that goes up to roughly twenty eight feet long. The mask doesn’t seem very large but in truth a majority of it is covered up by what appears to be almost hair. It also seems to have a strip appearance as well, his hollow hole is also on his chest a bit above where his stomach is. It should also be of note that his tail is the only natural hard surface on him besides his teeth, it is also naturally sharp as well and can cut through solid stone with little effort.
【Biography: A hero’s story is never told so easily!
【Personality: A hollow unlike any other, sure there have been those who hunt together and make alliances. Yet he is a different case, he has the drive to protect those that are weak and therefore are nothing more than prey for other hollows. He despises any form of evil and so when a Hollow toys with the weak he tends to lash out and eat them in revenge. His hate also extends too Shinigami who while are doing their job, so at least try to hear them out and not just mercilessly kill them. It’s like they have no clue that some Hollow just want to be left alone and not be pursued by Shinigami and killed by them. This is what drives him to becoming stronger, protecting the good and slaughtering the villains. So when a weaker hollow begs him to eat them so they don’t have to live in fear anymore, it leaves a rotten feeling in his stomach when he grants their last request.

Simple in nature impressive by standards. Hogo-san charges up a cero like normal, but his goo like hair also aims at the target and charges up a cero as well, enabling him to fire off multiple cero’s at once, or firing off a few then firing off some more and then some more all at different times. The more he charges up though the weaker they get. Still if he’s firing off ten, it will still pierce right through you if you get hit by one.

【Hollow Ability】
~"I’m the perfect weapon to extinct you villainous scum!"~
Ability Description: With his liquid looking body he is capable of forming weapons from his own flesh to attack with. The flesh also stays attached to him and simply takes the form of whatever he pleases. The parts that become weapons density seems to become more solid as well, this does not count for any other part of his flesh he didn’t mold. The ability also takes a few moments to form so you can still get in and harm the spot before it takes shape and solidifies seemingly(Yet even if it does take shape, it’s still his skin and if you are strong enough, it will still cut him.). You will mostly see him use this ability on his goo like hair, as a defensive mechanism for his Hollow hole. An example of him using this is his goo like hair moving and turning into multiple black swords to impale someone. He can also use his body for other various attacks as well, one of which is his signature attack.
【Additional Appearance Info: Xero is 6'02" and weighs 218 lbs. When cloaking himself in the human world, he dresses like an urbanite millennial, three-quarter designer cargo pants with matching thick hoodies and fitted caps. He tends to wear the hood of his hoodies up, even in battle. He carries the sheath of his Zanpakuto diagonally across his back.
【Biography:
Xero was born to a prostitute and a gang hopper. That's all he ever knew or was told about his beginnings. The prostitute didn't want a child interrupting her affairs, neither did she have any particular inkling as to which particular member of the gang was the one to impregnate he due to her popularity with the gang that ran her territory. It mattered not, as the gang in question instructed their whores to keep the children to term so that they can be used as part of the syndicate and trained within it from birth. "Rekuzan" was the name of the whorehouse he was born in and "Xero" was simply a play on words: The gang was named the "Zero Family", headed by a man who only ever went by the name "Shogun Zero". To state his claim on the bastards his men made frolicking with the prostitutes they owned, all the illegitimate children were given the last name "Xero" to highlight that they belonged to him but did not deserve his actual name. All he was ever taught was the value of loyalty beyond all else. Not to question for oneself, not to think for oneself, but all that one does is for the boss. This was actually a new venture for the Shogun, who felt his gang's numbers were dwindling and the penchant for making kids wantonly kept rising.
Xero was valued, but nowhere near loved. He's value only extended as far as his usefulness. With his only goal in life being to have value to his boss, Xero put everything he had into doing so. He learned the ways of the sword. He trained tireless and religiously while those around him indulged and experienced the fruits of the business; money, power, women. It was inevitable that he would rise above the mire. His unquestioning loyalty and diligence won over his boss, who went from simply seeing value in Xero to genuinely having faith in him when he would go one step beyond his 'brothers' and 'sisters' to do as he was commanded. Xero became the Shogun's right hand man and inadvertently became a filter by which the shogun began to esteem the children he indoctrinated to become the perfect soldiers more than the scalawags and delinquents who originally made up his crew. He consistently saw how Xero and his generation could accomplish things with an impeccable attitude that the 'free-thinking' members did not and suitably began esteeming them for their hard work in similar fashion to the way he esteemed Xero, which only made them more willing to follow their childhood programming.
Seeing the end of the road coming, the vice-boss of the gang staged a mutiny with other disgruntled gang members and a local rival gang who wanted to own the territory and had concerns about how big and strong the Zero gang was getting all of a sudden. Little by little, the rival gang began assassinating the Xeros to whittle their numbers, and even going as far as to kill their prostitutes and women to stop them giving birth to new soldiers and frighten away the ones that survived from being affiliated to the Zero Familia. In a bid to protect the legacy he had built, Shogun Zero prepared his forces for a pre-emptive all out attack on the rival gang to reaffirm the entire territory. Unfortunately, he remained unaware of the coup d'etat and was set up by the other gang and his traitors. The Shogun, his loyal 'freethinkers' and Rekuzan Xero were cornered at the rival gang's base after finding out too late that the enemy had been sitting in wait for them. Seeing the end was near, the Shogun opened his mouth and with a loud voice gave a final order to all of his underlings that they were free and that they were to leave him and survive him. Unfortunately for the Shogun, the loyal 'free-thinkers' couldn't obey his message due to their emotions, and the Xero's couldn't obey due to their indoctrinated loyalty. His survival superseded anything. They fought bravely, valiantly against the much greater foe.
Xero was the only one of the Xero's to survive. He had been rescued by a higher up from the Zero gang when he had been given a mortal wound. The higher up himself was fatally wounded, and brought Xero to a doctor. Xero awoke while the higher up was on his death bed. The higher up accounted the battle, and how they hunted and killed all the remaining Zero members who fled. They were fortunate that the higher up had connections that got him well away from their district. He explained to Xero that as the last remaining members of their gang, he was now the acting head and Xero was the last person able to complete a mission. He instructed that Xero "hunt down and find the architect of the coup and kill him with his own bare hands. Not because I told you to - not because I want you to, but because you want to. Avenge yourself!"
Xero was troubled by this instruction and was unable to act upon it until after the higher up died and Xero had no one around to tell him what to do. In the silence of solace, Xero could hear a faint voice. He would have believed it to be his own, the budding of an inner monologue, but he had a distinct notion of it not being a voice his own mind simply conjured up. It didn't seem to actually say any words... at least not in a language Xero understood, but it seemed to be insisting he do as was instructed and hunt the architect down. He did so, scouring for information on the key traitor. His search lead him to Seireitei, where he found out that his target had joined the ranks of the shinigami. Xero followed in suit, starting in the academy and patiently building his skills to advance into the Gotei 13. Once there, he understood the target was yet again out of reach, seated within the Eleventh division. Xero walked into the mosh pit of blood, battle, gore and glory that was division Eleven and finally found the man he was looking for - the acting 4th seat. Xero waited until he was strong enough to lawfully kill him under Division 11 rules - a direct, confrontational, battle to the death. Xero avenged his family and caught himself breathing a sigh of relief when the former 4th seat of the 11th division fell to his blade.
In that breath, Xero stopped to think and look around. Realising it had been over a hundred and fifty years since his family had been assassinated, he was in the midst of the Seireitei as one of their shinigami and had just inadvertently become the next 4th seat of the 11th division. He had no more motive, purpose or orders to follow. Not from the gang. Not anymore. In that moment, Xero shed his attachment to the gang, suppressing all of the memories regarding them to a deep dark corner of his mind, replacing it with the Seireitei and continuing on his life as a loyal dog to the Shinigami cause instead. With the treachery that occurred amongst the Gotei, it is a retread of history for Xero. He will not let it end as tragically as the last time.
【Personality: Xero's defining characteristic is his loyalty. The gang-mentality that was birthed into him cemented this trait for life. He puts following orders before anything. He doesn't even question whether they are right or wrong - honestly, he is too well groomed to indifference. Xero is a man that doesn't know himself. When responsibility or authority calls he can act and exist and even flourish above just about anyone; when something requires his own opinion or views he is near enough hopelessly lost and incompetent. He has an aversion to doing his own thing typically because he deems it inappropriate. At the root, Xero is afraid to be his own man and own opinions and an identity in case those around him do not like who that person is. Xero find common ground with those who show great loyalty - even his sworn enemies or that of the Seireitei.
Beneath all of that Xero has a noble conscious. He may not act upon it, but Xero constantly recognises opportunities for altruism, especially for those who are weak, helpless and relatively innocent. His personality is quite hollow in terms of more fickle preferences but it's clear that he enjoys completing tasks and requests set by his superiors and being relied upon by others. When he is useless or rendered useless, Xero has been known to become anxious and desperate in his personality and his usually cool, calm, composed monotonous nature cracks into fear and panic.
Xero is quick witted, patient and astute, however Xero is happiest amongst those who give him no time to speak as he believes he doesn't and shouldn't have anything to say. It's a stretch to call him stoic, as he does get mad, happy, upset, depressed, embarrassed and such, but he expresses his emotions with his actions more than his facial expressions or words. Xero can reciprocate humorous banter, but will never be one to start it. When in battle, Xero's words are very matter of fact. He doesn't boast or gloat - when he is talking dismissively or with prejudice against his opponent it's because he genuinely believes what he says to be true. Xero's humility and loyalty make him a very good wingman. He instinctively knows to pay attention to the little details when in the presence of superiors tackling the elephant in the room. He is so reserved about his own personality that he can easily make a sound board for other people to reflect their own interests and ideas off of, making him pragmatic and flexible to a variety of personalities.

【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
Xero relies almost completely on his Zanjutsu. His method of fighting incorporates using his Zanpakuto as an extension of himself and cutting down his foe. If that is not currently possible, his strategy is to figure out how to make it possible, by either wearing his target's defences down or change the way he is cutting them. He fights by being quick and precise with his sword. He has little in the way of durability when hit, but he executes solid spiritual pressure control to have the stamina for a long fight, so he can afford to keep up a high-octane offense for long periods of time without slowing doing.
Xero is a particularly good team-player. He a natural when it comes to covering allies in battle or working together against a common enemy where others might trip over the toes of their comrades.
Légion's spirit appearance is symbolic of Xero's own emptiness and forced monotony. He has no particular voice or face, no matter how illuminated; he will always appear as a silhouette. Xero's inner world reflects his mind-state. There is nothing for miles barring a singular motorway light with street lights that stretches on for eternity, symbolising that Xero has given no thoughts for anything other than what has been laid out before him, nonetheless, he has so much capacity to go off-road and think, explore and build.
Zanpakuto Personality: Légion is the definition of erratic. He spokes in a multitude of voices typically, male and female, old and young in constant whispers that overlap each other. Whatever subject matter Légion is trying to express, the whispers will be anecdotes, thoughts or facts surrounding it, like gossiping whispers before they will be silenced by a multitude of voices speaking monotonously in unified tempo. Légion isn't so much expressionless as he is perfectly balanced. Légion typically is exuding all the connected emotions all at once either in the disjointed whispers or the unified choir which can seem distant at first exposure. Légion likes to communicate through speech.
Shikai
~"Empty, Légion"~
Ability: Ki-Manipulation. Légion has the ability to disrupt reiryuku like a physical sword can disrupt a physical body, making power leak like blood or Ki-skills malfunction like broken/injured limbs.
Techniques
Mugen-katta: Xero makes a cut with the intent of debilitating the enemy. The cut is imbued with Légion's special ability. At first, the target will see what the cut would have done physically, except the blood would be replaced with light in the tint of their Reiryoku colour. This vision lasts for less than a second. It is not an illusion but a notification. Although the cut will seemingly pass straight through the target it is directed at the reiryoku stores of the target and will cause the target to suffer damaged "veins" of reiatsu instead of physical veins, reducing the performance of the affected area of the body in reiryoku based techniques. The extent of the reiryoku wound mirrors precisely how bad the physical cut would have been for motor fuctions. If the cut was none sever, it can heal completely over time like a physical wound. Any form of healing abilities can also cover reiryoku wounds.
Soru-katta: Xero makes a cut with the intent of drawing blood from the enemy. The cut is imbued with Légion's special ability. At first, the target will see what the cut would have done physically, except the blood would be replaced with light in the tint of their Reiryoku colour. This vision lasts for less than a second. It is not an illusion but a notification. Although the cut will seemingly pass straight through the target it is directed at the reiryoku stores of the target and will cause the target to 'bleed' reiatsu instead of physical blood. The extent of the reiryoku wound mirrors precisely how bad the physical cut would have been. If the cut was none sever, it can heal completely over time like a physical wound. Any form of healing abilities can also cover reiryoku wounds.
Kiai-katta: Xero makes a cut able to cut into reiryoku-based attacks as if they were tangible objects. Whether elements, waves or even vibrations, Xero can physically cut them or stop them with his zanpakuto.
