@RokkuHoshi Sorry, going to have to decline on the race. Now while elves are allowed, the races are limited to base types. Avariels are a bit too altered and far too rare for the bases allowed for this rp.

A Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Yuletide/Dongzhi/Festivus To All! I hope I covered all the major celebrations this week...

Also uh I believe the migratory Swallows probably carried the oranges to these parts.

@Lady Amalthea Alright. How about a half-elf guy good with swords, bows and magic? He can also pick locks.

@RokkuHoshi I am sorry once again, but Half-Elves are not on the approved list of races (which are listed in the original ooc)

An African Swallow or a European Swallow?

Oranges don't originate from Africa, but from Asia. So an African swallow would have to travel Northeast to pick up an orange before heading West, which is even more unlikely than a pacific swallow bringing the fruit over. A european swallow wouldn't be strong enough to carry the fruit in the first place.

On second thought, perhaps I shall not post in Duplicity. It is a silly place.

Will post soon.

@Lady Amalthea Well, all my characters are a bit out of the norm. The only characters I could see fitting would be my halfling bard and my halfling fighter/psionicist. Or my drunken gnome, but he never travels without his brother, but I can't play a half-elf. Or... I do have a pair of wood elf twins, brother and sister.

So, we got Regina, the halfling good with both small blades and mental "magic", Carla, the halfling who would rather play her instrument than fight, or Digit and Vygit Owigit, he's a fighter, she's a mage.

Which of those would you most likely allow?

Hi.

For what would most likely be allowed, please direct your attention to the original post of this OOC. It explains everything, even to the point of mentioning what we're short on so far as races are concerned. Further, take a few minutes to peruse the CS tab for examples of approved characters, past and active. There is a rich array of information available for those who choose to look.

Afterwards, fill out the CS template and post here in the OOC for GM approval. The process is long, but this increases the likelihood that you will be invested in the character and the RP. Do the homework on this. It will bear decent results.

Another idea to put out there - try stepping away from your existing character pool. Creating something original, for me anyway, is less of a hassle than trying to fit an established D&D character into the mold of the CS provided here. In the end, it's not "what the GM will allow". That is explained in great detail here in the OOC. It's a question of whether or not you're willing to do it.

@Sigil Thanks for trying to help but it'll be hard to make another new D&D style character while staying within the GM's boundaries and making them unique to my other characters and still interesting for me to play. I don't understand why no half-elves but I'm respecting her there. Using a pre-made character would be better for me. Not to mention the only internet access I have is on my fiancee's phone. If she's willing to let me, I'd rather play the twins.

Good. You have a character in mind. Step two is filling out the CS template in full and submitting it here in the OOC for approval. You can find the CS template in the original post of this OOC. If you have any questions in the meantime about the process, please direct them here to either myself or the GM.

@RokkuHoshi Please note that with twins you will need to fill out in completion two Cs's not a combined one - and that you will begin the RP with one of them or the other not both. I do allow established Rpers to Rp more than one character but until you have been Rping with the group for a while and I can see you can handle the posting the schedule, I do only allow a single character to need to post for. (It lets me gauge if you can keep up and such since the posting rules are rigorous and strict and I want to ensure you won't fall behind trying to post for multiple characters.

@Sigil

Also an acceptable answer for the Capital of Assyria is Nineveh.
Which was technically the penultimate capital of the Assyrian Empire.
So in case anyone ever asks you "what is the Capital of Assyria?"
You can proudly proclaim "Nineveh!" (and not get swallowed up by a sea creature)

Else you could technically argue that there were at least 5 other capitals of Assyria other than Nineveh, therefore which period of the Assyrian empire were you looking for?

I'm bored at work okay? X3
