I'd like to apologize for my lengthy leave of absence! I'm very sorry for not saying anything and I know I should have. With break and all, plus the holidays and getting to see friends from college, I just found myself pretty much busy everyday. I'm still here and have not abandoned this Rp! I shall now write, no more excuses.

@ineffable There is more to being a healer than being a body mechanic. Some party members have been hurt in ways that no magic can heal. And more than just healing wounds and injuries, the job of the healer is to reinforce, strengthen, and bolster the individuals under their care. You could make the champions a healthy meal so they will be prepared for tomorrow's trials. You could sing them songs to ease their weary souls. Or, in this specific circumstance (with Dionaea suddenly found missing), you could calm their fears and help them think more clearly.

Or you could even be a leader. There's no one saying you can't bark out orders or show them how to handle all the revelations they've just had. Help them make sense of it all, give them clarity and purpose.

Don't just sit around waiting for people to act so you can react. If everyone did that, the RP would stagnate. Take initiative and do something. Heck, maybe even consider starting your Subplot.

Act, don't just react.

EDIT: I just had an idea. If you're feeling useless, maybe Laina is too. Convey that to somebody IC and use it to bond.

Okay. so I have some difficult questions to ask. The RP is seriously stagnating, and I'm hearing complaints ranging from writer's block to excessive business. I find that when a person really wants to write, there's not much that'll stop them. Having lots of real-life work isn't actually as much of a problem as we make it out to be - I can personally whip up a solid post on my Android during a 10-minute break if I know exactly what I'm doing. The fact that I have to prod people to make them post after days of inactivity sets off alarm bells in my mind, and I aim to diagnose it.
