Location:Bridge

Henry gave off a quick salute to the captain and got to his station as quick as he could. Now, while he doesn't consuder himseld to be a very smart man, Henry wasn't altogether stupid. The very fact that a Reaver ship could show up right and now of all places was beyond a coincidence.

It was either extremely bad luck that they would come here and now at of all the places there were. Or, it could be entirely possible that they meant to show up at this time and place. For all he knew they could be actively coming after the Retribution or the Vengeance, for what Henry could only guess.

Maybe they pissed off the crew of the Reaver ship. Maybe they looked like easy pickings. Or, they knew what carho they were carrying. Didn't matter, all that mattered was that they were here, and they were after them.

He got to his station and got the weapons up and running. "Lieutenant Harper the weapons are online and are now locking on to the Reaver ship. I need you to try and avoid their fire for a minute or so while they lock and open up on them."

"Oh, so it decides to work when you hit it with a wrench!" Cursed technology, it might have just been his old age showing, but he found that he had less and less patience for when machinery didn't comply, whether it was old tech or new. At least old tech was simple enough to get fixed. Usually you just had to bend something back into place. And then the reaver ship arrived. Lionel picked up the nearest communicator and shouted up at the bridge.

"What are you waiting for!? Do you want me to grab you some engine oil so you can properly lubricate for the impending assfucking the Reavers are here to deliver? Get us the 握住你的屁股 off planetside!" As much as he'd prefer not to deal with the Alliance, he'd take them over the Reavers any day. If the crew upstairs was too busy shitting their pants, he'd give them as many verbal rear-end kicks as needed to get them moving. And if that didn't work, he'd go up there and do it literally if he had to.

William Harper

Location: Retribution, Bridge

Zero core shielding. Older model ship. Flying directly into atmo without so much as a hailing ping. Harper had read about this in reports, heard stories from prisoners and other pilots. He checked the instrumentation again, just to make sure. Reavers. It could be noting else.

The misplaced pilot had seen several recordings of the aftermath, the victims, of these creatures that he did not believe were people any longer. And of course, when the vid from the Miranda colonies exploded across the Cortex, he saw, just like everyone else. It left an impact. Somewhere underneath the surface of Harper's solid exterior, a cold hand closed into a fist around his viscera. These were things that were once human, that now existed purely to deny anything that moved a decent end.

Yes, the possibility of Death By Sodomy followed by being the guest of honor at an impromptu brunch of People Sashimi was not his idea of a good time. So much so, in fact, that it stirred up a heretofore flutter of nerves that usually only took him when he thought about that fucking rock, floating in the Halo and away from human reckoning, that he was forced to labor and subsist upon for the last three years. Maybe the Halo took away a portion of his nerve. True enough, he wasn't quite the same man he was, years ago. More prone to violence, certainly. And apparently, significantly more jumpy about certain things.

Of course, their Gunner wasn't helping. He was anxious, obviously. So was Harper. "We have our orders from the Captain, Sergeant Williams. We escort the Firefly vessel offworld, and engage if necessary. If they're after us and not some quiet settlement to eat, they'll attack with harpoons first. We will have range. Don't worry though - If they attack, I'll try to make them miss."

Foy Coiffeur

Location: Retribution, Bridge

The foppish gentleman carrying the magnum bore auto-locking man portable sniper cannon (otherwise known as Foy with his Callahan) bobbed up and down on the balls of his feet, as if he were readying himself for a rousing bout of fisticuffs. He wasn't sure exactly why, but in this moment a minor fit of excitement overcame him.

Hostile crew on the ground, doing Who Knows What, additionally a hostage situation brewing. And all the while, it appeared that they were indeed upon a planet selected for a good Reaving, just as his lifelong friend and fellow Farradayan, Jahosafat Moreau, had predicted. "Ah, but this is the most delightful calamity I have witnessed in quite a stretch of time, Dr. Moreau. I daresay, you possess a singular aptitude for locating the absolute best of social functions, and securing me an invitation, sir."

Foy took a deep bow, extending his fine felt bowler in his left hand in front of him. "Why, I feel like a child who has just tasted sweet and salty carnival fare, waiting in line for the Superfluous Plum Blossom Tilt-a-Whirl for the very first time. I've not tangled with angry Reavers and scorned women on a two-front conflict before today. I am curious as to which is the more dangerous of our adversaries. I doff my cap to you, Doctor."

Anisa looked over towards the monitor as she heard Daphne cursing under her breath. Her eyes narrowing before looking back to Quinn as he made his demands. "Quinn, go to hell," Captain Crowe spat before leaning over and cutting the feed between the ships. Once the communication was black and it was safe to talk freely Anisa let go of Camilla and spoke through the ships private com. "Gideon can we move yet?" she asked in a frustrated voice.

"If Daphne can get us off the ground we can get into the black but we won't have full burn Cap!" he warned her.

"Right, stay down there and be ready for orders." Turning she looked over at Camilla and Atticus. "Camilla go with Atticus, suit up and follow his directions. Jackson, Gene, be ready to break free from the ship on my mark."

Atticus nodded and ran off with Camilla close on his heels. Running to each of the shuttles he explained to Jackson and Gene in turn. "Little presents for our Cannibals in the sky. Set it here, and flush it out like you would any other waste. Will detonate on impact." Running back off him and Camilla made their way down into the cargo bay after each of them stopping by their personal quarters and grabbing a few boxes each.

"Get us in the air Daphne!"

Over on the Retribution Jahosafat nodded towards his old friend Foy. "I dare say, if I had know this was going to be such an eventful encounter I may have chosen the brown suit," he laughed, the fact that a Reaver ship was closing in from the black not even seeming to phase his happy attitude. "Though until we get into a form of fisticuffs with these uninvited quests, I only have one idea." A sick grin coming over his features as he stood there.

"Captain, have Lt. Harper ready to eject life pod D29 on my mark," he said before turning to Foy. "Mind giving me an assist old chap?" he asked before stepping to the door of the bridge. Looking over at Quinn, he grinned and jumped in place a few times, seemingly all too excited. "On my mark Captain, and if this doesn't work, might want to have that gunner blow it out of the sky," he said before running off towards the infirmary.

The Reaver ship coming in from the black only slowly just enough to not ping pong ball off the atmosphere. Breaking atmo it seemed like it was heading towards the settlement where Patience was was its course suddenly changed and it was beelining it for both ships. Seems there was a change in their original plans.

Dorothy Pender

Location: Dining Room ---> Medical Bay

Her hands were itching for a fight, whether it be against a foe or against the hand of death. A former army doctor, Dorothy understood that her greatest asset to the Vengeance was her medical knowledge. If something were to happen to her, Genevieve would insist that she could fill in, and the crew would bleed to death within minutes. However, it didn't make her feel any better. Grimacing, Dorothy wanted to be given a task to perform, rather than standing at the ready.

As if it would somehow help, Dorothy readjusted the grip on her gun. Anisa's instructions went over the inner com, and her ears perked up, listening for her name. Nothing. Her eyes darted around the room for a moment, watching as Camilla and Atticus dashed off, heading on some mission for Anisa. There was no reason for her to be standing in the dining room, and figuring that standing armed in the medical bay would suffice just as well, Dorothy left the room.

By the time she arrived in her own domain, Dorothy felt slightly more at ease, but still just as isolated from making any true impact on their survival chances. The thought that her baby sister was in peril, and all she could do was stand ready for needles and gauze, brought her no comfort at all. She took a deep breath, attempting to calm herself and center herself. Once the fighting started, people would start going down. And her work would begin.

She just had to wait and hope she wasn't needed.

Gene kept eye contact on the Reaver ship. She always heard stories of the Reavers, but she never thought she would see one up close. It was fascinating, even though it was clear that they were in danger. Though the Reaver ship seemed to be heading towards the planet, it quickly changed its course and was now coming for them.

She heard Anisa over the comm. She was ready to branch off. She's been ready for a bit now, but she knew Anisa had a plan. That was even more apparent when Atticus stopped and dropped off what appeared to be a bomb, with simple instructions of flushing it. She questioned just how it would work, but she had little choice. They needed to get moving and they needed to make sure the Reaver ship didn't follow them. So she held the little device that could kill her and waited for them to get moving.

Daphne didn't have to be told twice. The Reavers were getting closer, and were coming straight for the ships. She wasn't too thrilled about the temporary truce that seemed to have formed, but at least it might get them through it alive. Especially because of the problems the ship still had, she knew that they didn't stand a chance against the Reavers, and they weren't going to be able to out run it.

She started up the ship. Ignoring Anisa who was still standing nearby and focused on getting into the air. She felt the ship stutter as it started trying to take off. She let out a sigh of relief as the ship started moving up into the air. Hopefully they could start going a little faster, but Daphne knew that they couldn't go very fast, so she just stuck to praying for a miracle. Cause she felt they could use one right about now.

Carla Lobo

Huh, Reapers. Carla didn't show the jubilation of her fellow sociopath, Foy at the arrival of the human-consuming faction. If anything, she looked a bit disappointed. Sure, you could kill as many Reaver as you wanted and nobody gave a damn, in fact such activities were probably the only universally approved form of murder, but they didn't provide the same rush. By the time a person had fully become a Reaver, they were no longer a person anymore, sure their body would slacken and grow cold like anyone else, and if you dared get close enough could even see the twisted light leave their eyes, but they were a mockery of human life. And destroying a mockery didn't carry the same impact as it would for the genuine article.

Physically, the difference in experience would be comparable to the following situation: watching an action blockbuster in the theater and watching that same movie on a 20-inch CRT at home. It provided a serviceable experience, but ultimately ends up a far more flaccid experience. As it stood, the Reavers just interrupted a double-feature to be replaced with a marathon of the uncut version of The Lord of the Rings, and even then they might flake out at the last minute.

All that in mind, Carla still had to get ready for possible battle, which meant gearing up. And gearing up meant leaving the action packed bridge to the familiar solitude of her quarters. As for her gear of choice, she decided to don her tactical vest for extra defense and carrying space, and extra ammo for her revolver. Everything else she had prepared was far too large for any combat that could potentially occur inside the ship proper. Maybe that sniper rifle would get its chance to shine soon, but today would not be its day. Now properly decked out for popping Reavers, the assassin made her way back to the Bridge and all the shenanigans going on there.

He was feeling a bit off. He hated Reavers a lot, they were crude, barbaric and full of hate. He would like nothing more than to blow that ship out of the sky, go to where it crashes and burn all the corpses he found. As far as Henry was concerned the Reavers were a blight, a disease with which the only cure was to cut out the infection and burn it.

But, orders were orders. He had a good shot on the Reaver ship, but until told to fire he held himself in check. He cracked his knuckles with loud popping noises, then did the same with his neck. The Firefly Vengeance seemed to be moving a bit sluggishly, but it could be his imagination. However, if the ship slowed down the Retribution and put it in danger of being taken by Reavers, Henry would have no choice but to either destroy the Reaver ship, or the Firefly.

Afterall, his one and only order which overrides all others is to protect the Retribution at all costs, regardless of anything else.

Even his own life.

Jackson Tanner

Location:Shuttle

Turning over to the door as it opened, Jackson watched as Atticus wheeled the bomb into the room. Listening to his explanation, he gave a nod and sighed, moving over to look over the weapon. It'd do, for sure, he just hoped it would have a reasonable effect on the Reaver ship, otherwise getting away was going to be a fair ways more difficult. After examining the bomb, he moved to the controls again, getting ready to take it off once the signal was given. It'd be a tight scrape, but not the worst the ship had been through, and that was saying a fair bit.

Leaning forward, he keyed the comms to the cockpit. "Ready to go on your mark, Captain." He said as professionally as he was able, taking a firm hold on the controls as he took in a deep breath, glancing back to the bomb again. It was always moments like this which made him regret the fact that Anisa had decided on a Firefly-class, it was perfect of course for smuggling, but then, there were no weapons on it after all, which complicated things, to say the least.

Gregory Quinn

Location: Bridge

Quinn sneered somewhat at Anisa's comment, watching as the feed cut off, he had always despised the rebellious attitude the independents seemed to cling to, never any respect. Turning his gaze to the Lieutenant, Quinn remained in his general demeanour, an almost uncomforting calm as he left his hands clasped neatly behind his back. "Lieutenant Harper, be ready to follow the Vengeance once it takes off, I will give the Sergeant the order to fire if necessary." He said cooly, looking over to Jahosafat as he spoke up again. Whatever the man was planning, Quinn already hated it, but he wouldn't deny that the man knew reavers, following his plan would have been advantageous.

Sighing as he watched Jahosafat and Foy move off, Quinn turned his gaze back toward Harper. "As the doctor said, have pod D29 ready for eject when he gives his mark." He commented plainly, turning his gaze back out of the viewport before he began to stroll calmly across the bridge, checking every officer at their station, ensuring they were all doing their jobs, slipping back into the military role he'd been missing for a while.

William Harper

Location: Retribution, Bridge

In what might be one of the more pant-moistening observations of his life, Harper took some distress in the fact that the Reavers' ship had decided that the Vengeance and the Retribution were more profitable pickings than whatever backwater settlement they were aiming toward in the first place. Logically, he supposed that it made sense; a fully stocked Alliance vessel would have provisions upon provisions in redundancy. And they had stocked for a full crew, until Jahosafat's orders reduced their number to the most basic of shipwide coverage.

And here they sat, manning their appropriate stations, calmly holding position (per Captain's orders) while that dot on their visuals kept getting larger and ever closer, trailing exhaust into the atmosphere and leaking radioactive contaminants, filled to the brim with cannibalistic rape-machines comprised of things which used to be men. It was no surprise that he had just a bit of terseness in his voice as he responded to Quinn's order to "be ready". "Aye, Captain. Standing by."

Foy Coiffeur

Location: Retribution, Bridge

The chipper mood of Foy Coiffeur was ever-so-slightly lessened by the general perception that they were in fact not landing, not engaging the Reaver vessel (nor the Firefly, come to think of it), and Foy's secondary role as Hired Combatant was yet to be utilized aboard the Retribution. He almost felt bad taking their money otherwise; it made him the most ludicrously overpaid Barber ever. But if the Alliance wanted to split hairs on the topic, Foy was indeed the best hair and face man in the known 'Verse, except for maybe his father. And the old man had retired from the craft years ago.

Foy let out a barely audible sigh. When his good friend and fellow Gentryman plastered a devious grin upon his face and asked him for some assistance, his mood brightened somewhat. It might not be trading gunfire, or playing "Pin The Tail on the Reaver" with a short blade, but he was certain it would be something at least moderately amusing up Jahosafat's sleeve.

"Ho hooo..." he laughed with some gusto, "The brown suit. Capital, sir. Ripping good one, I do say." He began to follow the good Doctor off of the Bridge, expressing his opinion on the situation openly. "I suspect, old boy, that a few of this gaggle ought to have packed their brown suits, as well. So! Whatever bit of mischief do you have us getting ourselves into today?"

Vengeance - Daphne manages to get the ship up in the air and is able to speed off for now. The Reavers are closing in and the terrain is going to be interesting to handle. There are mountains and valleys to cut through, flat space as well between the two.

Anisa picks up the com and addresses the crew "Hopefully we won't need you to fix anyone up but be ready and hold on tight. Have an emergency pack ready, two and get them to each Jackson and Gene. Gene, Jackie, once she has them, get ready for a boost break on Daphne's mark. I want you to break away, veer off and come up over that fucking Reaver ship. Gideon, you and Lionel, be ready to push this baby to max. It may be Crazy Ivan time. Atticus, Camilla, be ready to drop your loads at Daphne's mark," she orders out before hanging up the com and holding on above her.

"Alright Daphne, time to make this fancy, keep them off our asses long enough for everyone to get into position."

Retribution - The Vengeance is able to get off the ground and is speeding off but the sudden movement of the ship has the Reavers attention and they are high tailing it after the other ship and ignoring the Retribution for now. Jahosafat makes it into the infirmary and looks over towards Foy.

"Do help a gentleman get this onto the cart and over to pod D29. We have got to cause a most timely distraction if we stand any hope," he says as he starts to lift one of the crate holding a Reaver he was done experimenting with onto the "trolly".

Unlocking it once it is in place he rushes over towards the counters and cabinets, pulling out vials after vials and shoving them in the crate before closing it. "Let us be on our way," he says ushering the cart with Foys help out of the infirmary and out towards the life pods. Making his way to the one he spoke about he opens the crate again. "Let us move this old man into the pod. This should be interesting," he says as he starts moving the open crate into the pod. Once that is concluded he radios up to the bridge and sets the door shut and locked in place.

"Get up high but let the Reavers see you. There will be tower in the canyons, we need to eject this pod out to crash near as possible to it, then gun the tower."

Dorothy Pender

Location: Medical Bay ---> Gene's Shuttle ---> Jackson's Shuttle ---> Medical Bay

As Anisa's voice filled the ship, Dorothy almost jumped for joy. Finally. There was something for her to do, something for her to help with, some action for her to take to avert the likelihood of death and destruction for her baby sister. Emergency packs had to be prepared for Jackson and Gene--that was a simple enough task, and one that Dorothy suspected wouldn't take her more than a minute. Saluting air, a habit she hadn't quite managed to kill from her time in the Alliance Military, Dorothy sprinted over to the cabinet.

She tore open the doors, and grabbed two of the emergency kits she kept prepared. They were intended for use out on the field, in case she had to quite literally run to someone to keep them from dying, but they'd suit Jackson and Gene's purposes, Dorothy figured. The only real drawback was that neither of them had any medical skill, as far as Dorothy was aware. She grabbed the kits, and kicking the cabinet closed, made off on a mad dash to the shuttle pods.

Heading to Gene's shuttle pod first, Dorothy quickly handed off the emergency kit, and wished her friend good luck. She had a bad feeling about this entire mission, but Dorothy knew time was of the essence, and she couldn't do much more than smile at Gene. After dropping off the kit with her, Dorothy then sprinted over to Jackson's pod, wishing him good luck as well as she handed over the emergency kit. And once done, Dorothy returned to the medical bay, feeling a little less twitchy, but still fidgeting for work, for a chance to do anything to help her baby sister.

Anisa's voice came over the comms again and it seemed like things were finally going underway. They were moving thanks to Daphne's pilot skills and the Reaver ship was about to get a nice surprise from, what she assumed, both ships. She heard her Captain's command for them to get an emergency pack and felt that was justified, given her brief adventure before this. Better safe than sorry, of course.

Dorothy was quick and dropped off the pack. She returned the woman's warm smile and knew they would talk if they could, but time was of the essence. She felt the warmth behind it regardless and wished her good luck as well.

She returned to her seat, setting the emergency pack off to the side and still holding on to her explosive. Hopefully she would be able to get this thing off her shuttle soon.

The situation was becoming more and more tense by the second. The Firefly ship was still going a bit too slow for comfort, and the Reaver ship was gaining speed. On the outside Henry looked calm and as if he was merely standing around doing nothing. On the inside however he was also tense.

He hoped Jahosafat knew what he was doing, and he hoped that the Reavers had no idea what the hell they were doing. This ppan had to work, otherwise Henry would have no choice but to take matters into his own hands. He saw the towers that Jahosafat was talking about, and they looked a bit dicey. Only one way to see if this would work out.

"Didn't you just tell her that the ship wouldn't be able to handle full burn?" Lionel shouted at Gideon over the noise of the engine as he braced himself against the nearest mechanical fixtures when he felt the ship lurch its way into the air. He deigned not let go, because there was no way the next 15 minutes (a highly generous estimate at that) were going to be anything that might be mistaken for smooth sailing.

"Nobody listens to you unless it's convenient for them," Gideon responded, trying at once to keep himself from tumbling down and keep all of his tools in a place where he'd be able to reach them in the inevitable situation where something that suddenly broke would need to be fixed mid-chase. "We are in the air despite all logic and evidence claiming otherwise, so maybe the engine won't collapse in on itself."

Daphne heard the orders, she just was trying to come up with a plan on the fly. She needed to stall, but wasn't certain as to howling she would have to do that. Knowing her sister, she would be running at top speed, going as fast as she could. Yet she had no idea how long it would take the others to get into place. The ship was holding for now, but who knew how long that would last.

She started maneuvering the ship, since she saw that the Reavers were catching up to them, and fast. Daphne started wondering just how long she would be able to keep them off of their tail. The odds were against them, and she was pretty sure everyone knew that. As she was trying to move the ship, getting it away from the Reaves was her top priority. The problem was that she didn't know how long Gideon could stop the ship from falling apart. Daphne was trying to keep the ship together, while trying to keep the Reaves at a distance. This is not going to be easy, she thought to herself.

Foy Coiffeur

Location: Retribution, Bridge

Basic muscle work. The lifting and hauling of various vialed sundries from the ubiquitous Point A to the only slightly less attainable Point B. There was a hint of concern; after all, Foy was moving unknown materials into an escape pod that he suspected wouldn't be withing the realm of "stable". But his worry was for naught. They had arrived safely at their destination at the previously mentioned Escape Pod, regular as clockwork.

As much as the Esteemed Mr. Coiffeur did not appreciate the finer points of pure manual labor. Not that it had any fine points, in his mind. None at all. Objectively, it did fit within the confines of his all-important Contract. He was read into a situation that the others were not, he was nearby on a time crunch, and so the awful responsibility to exert himself in a manner that did not involve actual field work, nor training. And so he acquiesced to the instruction of his dear friend, cheerfully and without complaint in the slightest.

"You realize, good sir, that if your situational puppeteering bears fruitful result, we shall have to celebrate with the nearest bottle of bubby wine. What say you, old boy?"

William Harper

Location: Retribution, Bridge

This seemed an odd situation, from a military man's point of view. Generally, orders came down the chain, reports went up the same chain about the results. But the situation, obviously, was not general. At least not for Harper. So when the PA addressed him with Moreau's voice, giving him instructions on how he wanted the ship handled, he had to stop himself from committing his hand to a rude gesture, and continuing the Captain's orders. Not that he would have extended the appropriately insulting finger in the first place; he was a stalwart professional pilot and Officer in the Alliance Military. At least for now. The thought did cross his mind, though.

But as mentioned, this seemed an odd situation. There was a ship full of self-mutilated monsters hellbent on having angry sex with everyone present, so the "rules" may have changed. There was nothing about this situation that gave him any sort of reassurance. And the core of electric ice that lodged within him, due to the presence of the inhuman creatures pursuing them made Harper a little more susceptible to following any course of action that allowed him to escape or destroy them, regardless of the source.

With this in mind, he began to adjust their heading, glancing over Captain Quinn for a nod, or conversely a look of disapproval. He had no plans on dying today, nor getting eaten, nor raped into unconsciousness before either of those things happened. So unless Quinn gave a better plan, Harper piloted the Retribution to the specifics set by the visiting Doctor Moreau.

But he refrained from saying, "Aye aye, sir", instead voicing the less official, "On it." Principle of the thing, you see.

Gene And Jackson - Daphne starts weaving the Vengeance through the air and into the canyons. Just before she enters them, Anisa comes through on the com. "Break away and take position, radio back when are are above the Raver ship," she instructs the two. It is going to be tight to break away at the mouth of the canyons and valley's but both Jackson and Gene should be able to do it as long as they stay focused. The Reaver ship will fire off several rounds but none hit either of you as you fly away from the Vengeance.

Cargo Bay Vengeance - Atticus and Camilla are in the cargo bay with a crate load of smaller hand held devices they are working quickly to assemble. "Are you two bomb makers ready?" Anisa asks as she comes over the com to address the two. "Gods speed is with us, we are almost ready," Atticus pipes in as he continues to work. Camilla lays the last one she was working on in the crate and hooks herself and Atticus up to a life line before stepping over to the read cargo bay hatch at the back of the ship. "Tethered and ready Captain, open the bay doors," Camilla adds as Atticus lays his final present in the crate and stands up, gripping the crate and nodding towards Camilla.

Engine Room Vengeance - Gideon is rushing around trying to patch shit up as best he can as it starts blowing out. "Yeah, it's just fucking peachy," Gideon mutters under his breath as his hand comes up to fight back some sparks that fly from the engine before ducking down and getting back to work. "Hope whatever the bomb experts have planned out does what it needs to do before we blow this engine entirely. I don't know how much longer I can keep her going. Either way, we aren't getting off this planet today," he adds hearing Anisa's voice go over the com talking with the others. He hisses slightly as some more sparks end up burning through his trousers and scortching his leg. "Gorham! Get Dorothy," he grunts but keeps working.

Bridge Retribution - Jahosafat makes his way back up to the bridge with Foy and glances around, placing his hat back on top of his head and grinning broadly. "I dare say everything is in place Captain, we should be good for drop soon as we are in place," he says before turning towards Foy. "Indeed my good man, we shall pop the cork soon enough but not too soon. We still have a few eggs to break before this delicious omelet is cooked to perfection," he adds as he looks towards the screen. The Reaver ship was closing in on the Vengeance but despite their firing on the ship they had not hit it yet it didn't seem. Who ever was piloting the Vengeance was doing a hell of a job serpentining the fuck out of the Firefly vessel. "Everyone, if you would be good enough to hold on tight it seems that we are nearly at our stage positions. It will be up to our illustrious pilot and gunner to finish out this little tit for tat. Wait to fire on my mark."

Gene does as instructed and finally breaks away from the ship. As she and Jackson stemmed off, she noticed the Reaver ship firing at them. Hugging the controls with all her strength, she maneuvered around the blasts, coming close to a few shots, but missing them. She breathed a sigh of relief as she flew towards her opponent.

As she got near it and started flying above it, she opened the comms, "I am above the Reaver ship, awaiting orders." Her message came out calm, though every sense inside of her was panicking due to being close to a Reaver ship. She hoped they would have enough time to make a hasty retreat after leaving their respective gifts to the Reavers. She held on to her bomb and waited for the command to finally flush the thing.
