C O N C E P T A B S T R A C T:
The idea is for Adam to have obtained his powers from darker, less neutral sources than the Egyptian Gods or Shazam, thanks to a plot by Mephistopheles. This Adam's powers come at a cost, and are as much of a curse as a blessing, making him think twice before transforming. I intend to have Adam hunt for a way to be rid of his curse, while also getting caught up in the scheming of Mephisto.
N O T E S:
As stated above, the entities form which Adam receives his powers have been altered to darker beings. When Adam says the word Shazam, he is granted powers and abilities by these evil beings, though each aspect comes at a price. Here's a listing of said entities and their respective contributions to his power in relation to the word Shazam,
S
For the Forbidden knowledge of Stolas. Primarily a psychological and intellectual boon, this grants Adam access to a vast internal catalogue of linguistic, historical, and arcane knowledge. However, Stolas will often whisper to Adam, sometimes unintelligent, mad ravings, other times horrific arcane secrets one is better off not knowing. Adam cannot control when this will happen, except by reverting to his mortal form.
H
For the pride of Hades. Mostly a psychological boon, this aspect of power allows Adam the confidence and surety of the King of the Underworld, even in the face of insurmountable odds. However, with this pride and confidence comes egotism and megalomania, which are present in Adam's personality, but are amplified when transformed.
A
For the destructive power of Abaddon. This aspect is what allows Adam to perform feats of horrifyingly superhuman strength. The counter to this is Adam cannot keep his strength in check. Doors are pulled form hinges instead of opened casually, glasses break in his hands, and physical interaction with any human he doesn't wish to maim or kill is nearly impossible while in his transformed state.
Z
For the swiftness of Ziz. This aspect of power not only allows Adam to fly, but also to move at superhuman speeds, and to react inhumanly fast. Because of the cruse associated with this aspect of his power, each time Adam transforms, his mortal form ages considerably, ensuring that eventually Adam will be fully in Mephistopheles' service, or will simply wither away of old age.
A
For the rage of Aeshma. Calling on the undying fury of the demon of wrath, Adam is capable of shrugging off powerful blows through force of his rage alone, as well as healing swiftly any damage that manages to harm him. Using this aspect of his power, he is able to self-sustain, and will never tire or require sleep. The cost of this power is high, however, as Adam can lose control of himself entirely when transformed, entering a rage-fueled sort of fugue state. Even when not in this state, when transformed, Adam is prone to violent outbursts of temper and terrible mood swings.
M
For the power of Mephistopheles. This aspect represents the contract of Mephistopheles, and binds the rest of the aspects of Adam's power (as well as the curses that come with them) together. It fuels the eldritch crimson lightning which transforms him, as well as augmenting his other abilities. Perhaps the greatest curse of all, this aspect of his power ensures that, should Mephistopheles command something, Adam will obey once transformed. For instance, if Mephistopheles commanded the death of a specific person, as soon as Adam transformed, he would feel strongly compelled to carry out the task. This compulsion can be resisted, but only at the cost of great mental taxation, and intense physical pain.
"The greatest power on Earth is the magnificent power we all of us possess... the power of the human brain!

I have always had this image of Charles Xavier in my head that maybe some where down the highway he and Erik wernt so different in their views, but where Magneto took things to a physical point Charles played the political scene. For this interpretation I really want to explore Professor X as a force that your not sure you can really trust, an uneasy ally or a person that you owe a favor to. In a nutshell I really want to explore more of the psychological thriller-esque of what Professor X and his X-Men could be.

My goal is to play not only a much older, but, to some degree, a much more powerful Logan. Not just a mutant born a couple of centuries ago, but a man who's been part of every major conflict in man's history. A Personification of a warrior, in times of his life, blurring the lines between man and beast, as much of his life will have been spent in what can only be described as his legendary berserker rage. My goal is to tell different stories set through time where Logan partakes in one battle after another. At one point, he's a Legate in the roman army, fighting one tribe after the other, curbing them all under his blade, the next, he's a Templar fighting for the holy pope, in the next he's fighting for the south in the American civil war, a revolutionary in the French revolution and the one after that he's a masterless rounin at the end of the Edo-Period.
Writing stories around his desire for combat, testing not only his limits and abilities, but perhaps look to a cure for his anger, while also bringing up shades of my personal favorite versions of Logan. His representation in X-men Evolution, and Hugh Jackman's version will both be huge inspirations for me, which is how through all of the ordeals I have in mind for him, is where he'll end up.
Most stories set in the past will be tragic, I'll try and write as many human stories as beast stories, and to blur the line between the two, to explore the themes of, and ask the question 'is Logan really a man'. Due to the nature of my approach to Logan, he can partake in just about any storyline, he is effectively immortal, been alive longer than most, and I thus hope to do a lot of interaction with others, in any time period.
In the present, he'll be a lot less rage-based, I will go for stories where he pushes for some kind of higher-calling. Picking fights for moral reasons, not because he wants to shed blood.
N O T E S:
Born in ancient Greece, many of the epics written about legendary heroes like Achilles are based upon Logan. He fought against a thousand men in Troy, he was the only man inside of the Trojan horse, butchering everyone in his path till the Greeks could take the impenetrable city.
He is a mutant making him one of the first of his kind, yet, due to the time he's born, he's interacted with the Gods upon several occasions. Ares is one he's had many interactions with, his infinite rage and lust for battle always truly fascinated Ares, and he will on the regular bring on challenges for him, pitting him against his enemies or just for his own amusement.
His powers remain mostly the same to the regular canon, he heals, he's got superhuman senses, and expendable bone claws. My idea is that during the first world war, he got his metal skeleton, but we shall see how compatible that is with the overall world. What would truly be different about him from a combat perspective would be the degree of skill he'd hold, he would've fought, and killed just about every type of warrior mankind's ever produced.

I really just want a chance to make great, stories with Ted because he's a really fun character. This Ted's been in the hero game for a long time, starting out as a sidekick for Dan Garrett before taking over his legacy as Blue Beetle. I think Ted has the potential to be really entertaining and interesting to write and read because there's this duality to his nature in a lot of ways, a crimefighter and genius inventor but also a total goofball. I'm not sure if I have grand plans or some insightful human drama or anything to spin out with Ted, I just want to tell fun stories with him and contribute to the Singular Universe in ways I enjoy and that I hope everyone else will enjoy too.

May 10th, 1979: Theodore Steven Kord is born.
1987: A nine-year-old Ted Kord begins pestering the scientists at his father's company, Kord Omniversal Research and Designs.
1990: A twelve-year-old Ted Kord hacks into the Department of Defense's computer network out of boredom.
1991: Ted attends college, where he meets Professor of Archaeology and part-time superhero Dan Garrett. The two strike up a friendship of sorts and Ted joins Garrett on numerous globe-trotting adventures.
1995: Ted graduates with degrees in Physics, Theoretical Mathematics and just for funsies, English Literature.
1996: Ted barely manages an escape from the clutches of his uncle Jarvis Kord, who had taken over the company in his father's absence and is using its technology in a bid for world domination. He enlists the help of his mentor Dan Garrett for one final battle. Both Dan Garrett and Jarvis Kord are killed in the resulting fight, but not before Dan entrusts Ted Kord with his mystical artifact called The Scarab and encourages him to take on the Blue Beetle name in order to do good in the world.
1997: After turning eighteen, Ted Kord officially takes control of Kord Omniversal but delegates most of the work to others.
2000: After four years of rigorous study and training, Ted Kord debuts as the new Blue Beetle by stopping the gang of bank robbers known as the Madmen. Later that same year the Dominators attack Earth and Ted, as Blue Beetle, attempts to protect his current home of Chicago to small success. In the wake of this attack Ted begins a more serious study of alien technologies, not only the tech he was able to salvage from the invasion but also The Scarab.
2000-2002: Blue Beetle intensifies his fight against the criminal elements of Chicago. He becomes a dreaded figure not so much for any real terror he inflicts, but because of his effectiveness and annoying personality. A mad scientist by the name of Enigma teams up with the Chicago outfit in order to take Blue Beetle down using various gadgets, mutated henchman and deathtraps but all of these fail.
2003: Genius inventor and murderous egomaniac Conrad Carapax, a former foe of Dan Garrett, tears through Chicago in a nearly invulnerable powered exo-skeleton. Horrifically injured from experiencing re-entry, Carapax defiantly downloads his mind into the robotic suit rather than allow the Blue Beetle to give him medical aid.
2007 Several employees of Kord Omniversal including former bodyguard Arnold Daniel Beck A.K.A. Overthrow, mutated former factory foreman Curt Calhoun A.K.A. Promethium Man and burn victim and former pyrotechnic researcher Lyle Barnes A.K.A. Firefist team up to destroy K.O.R.D Inc and kill Ted Kord. Ted is able to stop them as Blue Beetle, but the incident prompts him to take a more active hand in his business.

My first attempt for Superman in this RP was....a little too ambitious for its own good. Not to mention meta to the point of outright pretentiousness. After spending so long away from roleplaying, I'm going to dial it back and make sure I've still got the fundamental chops to do justice to my favorite character. No weird time warps or fictional awareness, just prime-era Superman at the top of his game, fully formed and easy to interact with. I may get weird with it later, but first and foremost I want to have some fun, save the world, maybe bench-press the moon a couple of times, that sort of thing.
N O T E S:
Superman's powers, supporting cast, and rogues' gallery are more or less the same as they always are. I'm willing to make edits if, f'rinstance, someone wants to play Supergirl differently from what I have in mind, but the general idea is that everything is accessible and within people's expectations. The exact details may be a little different here and there, but it's nothing too wild.

1978: Jonathan and Martha Kent discover a mysterious silver pod in a smoking crater on the outskirts of their farm in Smallville, Kansas. In it, they find a baby boy. Unsure of what to do, the Kents bury the pod underneath their barn and adopt the boy, naming him Clark.
1983-1995: Clark attends school, where he is an outcast from his fellow students due to several 'outbursts' where he exhibited strange abilities. Fearing A.R.G.U.S. or S.H.I.E.L.D. might take their adopted son away, the Kents urge Clark to keep his abilities secret, at least until he is mature enough to decide for himself. Clark keeps to himself throughout childhood, writing for the school paper and excelling in science but never gaining many friends.
At age 13, however, Clark saves a bus full of his classmates from a deadly crash, exposing his powers. Quickly hearing word of the incident, Jonathan argues with Clark about the use of his powers and the risk of exposing his identity, and finally shows him the true nature of his origins. Clark, who had believed until this point that he was a mutant, runs away from home, only to return later that night with half-remembered visions of a 'Legion' of friends from a far-away future. These visions quickly fade over time, but the impression of both his alien past as his extraordinary future stay with Clark for years to come.
1995: A powerful tornado ravages Smallville, and 17-year-old Clark uses the full extent of his powers to try and save the town. While Clark succeeds in rerouting the tornado away from the major population areas, Jonathan Kent suffers a fatal heart attack while getting others to shelter. Distraught by the loss of his father and unsure of what to do with himself and his massively increased powers, Clark leaves home after graduating high school and travels the world.
1996-1999: Clark makes his way across the world, taking up a career as a journeyman reporter both to fulfill his passion for journalism, and as an excuse to be in dangerous areas where his superhuman aid is needed. Along the way, he sparks a friendly rivalry with a fellow traveling reporter, the firebrand Lois Lane. For three years, Lois and Clark continually run into each other in warzones, disaster areas, hotbeds of political and corporate corruption: anywhere where there are people in need, a story to be told, and rumors of a mysterious metahuman with powers rivaling the heroic Shazam.
Eventually, Clark finds his way to the Andes, where rumors and leads had led him to a massive covert excavation site, a joint venture between the US military and the tech giant LexCorp. Infiltrating the base and making his way past soldiers and scientists, Clark finds a pod similar to the one he had landed in as a baby. He breaks out and escapes with the pod, drawing the attention of the military and of LexCorp's CEO, Lex Luthor. Taking the pod far away into the Arctic, Clark discovers that inside of it is an impossibly huge complex, a Fortress contained in a space no larger than a phone booth. His presence activates Kelex, the Fortress's artificial intelligence, and the AI tells Clark about his past, his homeworld's destruction, his family's desperate gambit to save him, and his true name: Kal-El of the planet Krypton.
Clark returns home to Smallville, and resolves to combine the lessons his parents taught him with the virtues and ideals of the lost Kryptonian society. Donning the garb of Krypton's heroic Sapphire Guards-- which, coincidentally, happen to bear a striking resemblance to the colorful 'super-heroes' of the old Justice Society of America-- Clark begins to operate under a new identity, whom his colleague and rival Lois Lane is quick to dub 'the Superman.'
2000-2003: Clark moves to Metropolis, taking a job as a field reporter for the Daily Planet thanks to a recommendation from Lois. Within months of his public debut in Metropolis, Superman brings down the corrupt political machine of the crooked Mayor Glenn Glenmorgan and puts dents in the Mannheim criminal syndicate. In response, Bruno Mannheim begins deploying metahuman enforcers to confront Superman or distract him from his operations; these include the hypersonic-shrieking Silver Banshee, the tech-wielding Conduit, and the radioactive monster Atomic Skull. Lois Lane investigates the origin of these super-villains' abilities and discovers a network of dummy corporations and front-operations that eventually lead to LexCorp. Although the charges do not stick, Lex Luthor spends a night in prison because of Lois's exposée, putting her directly in Lex's crosshairs.
A.R.G.U.S. eventually tries to bring Superman into their custody, leading to a massive confrontation between the Man of Steel and a strike force of LexCorp-equipped commandos led by agent John Corben. During the battle, Luthor causes Corben's 'Metal Zero' battle armor to self-destruct, making it appear as though Superman had killed him. This smears Superman's reputation and encourages A.R.G.U.S. to double down on funding LexCorp's anti-Kryptonian research, which pays dividends in the discovery of Kryptonite: radioactive mineral shards from Krypton that came to Earth with Kal-El's pod, which--if properly weaponized--could kill Superman after less than a minute of exposure.
As Superman tries to continue saving lives and thwarting attacks from a newer, more dangerous onslaught of villains--including the power-draining Parasite, the lightning-wielding Livewire, and an army of terrorist androids calling themselves the Toymen-- he finds himself being pursued more doggedly by A.R.G.U.S. forces. Finally, Superman is ambushed by a resurrected John Corben, equipped with a Kryptonite-armed 'Metal-0' suit. Corben nearly kills Superman in the battle, but he's stopped by the intervention of the suit's lead designer, Dr. John Henry Irons, who was convinced by Lois Lane that Superman had been framed for Corben's killing. Donning an older model of the suit and adopting the name 'Steel,' Irons defeats the Metal-0 unit and saves Superman's life. Superman's name is cleared by Lois, and Steel begins to operate in Metropolis as an unofficial partner.
2003: Superman, with help from Steel and Kelex, saves the world from the extraterrestrial AI Brainiac, who had intended to capture Metropolis in a spacetime 'bottle' for experimentation before destroying Earth. Clark manages to save Brainiac's collection of Bottle Cities and take them to his Fortress, though he is unable to free the trapped inhabitants. This includes the Kryptonian city of Kandor, and his failure to release his people from captivity frustrates Superman for years.
Meanwhile, Clark and Lois begin dating, and the two move in together. Lois, who had long suspected Clark's true identity before he confessed, becomes instrumental in preserving his secret identity from enemies, and from well-meaning but hapless friends like Jimmy Olsen. As their relationship grows more serious, the possibility of starting a family arises, and though both of them agree they eventually want children, the genetic incompatability between human and Kryptonian DNA makes it impossible. Instead, Lois and Clark adopt a puppy, naming it Krypto.
2006: A massive Kryptonian warship appears over Metropolis: the Black Zero, commanded by the dreaded war criminal General Zod. Having escaped the void of the Phantom Zone, Zod and his army of rogue Kryptonians strike key targets around the globe, with the intention of terraforming Earth and using humanity as breeding stock to repopulate their race. A combined effort of Superman and the Avengers subdues the bulk of the invading force, but Metropolis is devastated during the battle. Superman manages to return most of Zod's forces to the Phantom Zone, but during the final conflict, he is forced to kill Zod himself. This takes a tremendous toll on Clark, as he had always attempted to operate without using lethal force, and Superman withdraws from the public sphere for a time.
Meanwhile, Lex Luthor appropriates the majority of recovered Kryptonian technology, including the corpse of General Zod and several DNA samples of Superman himself taken from blood spilled during the battle.
2006: Clark Kent marries Lois Lane. Their wedding, however, is interrupted by the reality-warping entity calling itself 'Mr. Mxyztplk.' The imp from the Fifth Dimension puts Superman through a series of chaotic and seemingly nonsensical trials for his own amusement, and while eventually Superman does outsmart Mxyzptlk and thwart him from permanently distorting space and time, some of the imp's "pranks" on Superman remain even after things return to normal.
Clark's dog Krypto gains super-powers like his own, the B-movie monster Titano becomes real and terrorizes the city (until Superman relocates him to the Savage Land), and most dangerously of all, a backwards clone of Superman is created out of 'bizarro-matter' from the Underverse. This Bizarro Superman creates a plague of backwards copies that threatens to overrun the Earth before Superman convinces his warped duplicate to go out into space in a reverse of Kal-El's escape from Krypton. The clone leaves Earth in a makeshift rocket, eventually creating a Bizarro-Earth adrift in deep space.
2008: Lex Luthor mutates the corpse of General Zod into a monster known as Doomsday. Superman is almost helpless to stop Doomsday's rampage, until Lex approaches him with the only weapon capable of destroying it: a spearhead of pure, refined Kryptonite, more potent than any K-based weapon used before. As the radiation would kill a normal human in seconds, Superman is ironically the only person alive strong enough to wield it long enough to use against Doomsday. With options running low and the death toll rising, Superman agrees to the plan, sacrificing his own life to stop Doomsday and save the Earth from destruction.
Superman is given a hero's funeral, and a monument is built in his honor in Heroes' Park in Metropolis. Meanwhile, Clark Kent is quietly buried next to his father in Smallville. Lois Lane uncovers Luthor's involvement in the creation of Doomsday, and Lex is ousted from LexCorp. The A.R.G.U.S. think-tank known as Cadmus takes ownership of several of LexCorp's assets, most notably the genetic hybrid project codenamed 'Superboy.'
2012: Another Kryptonian pod lands on Earth, this one carrying a teenage girl named Kara Zor-El. Originally sent by her parents to protect her cousin Kal on Earth, her ship was lost in the Phantom Zone due to Krypton's destruction, and as a result she arrives years after Kal's death. Inspired by what her cousin had done in life, Kara takes up the mantle and is soon dubbed 'Supergirl' by the media. While she eventually makes contact with Lois and begins using the Fortress, she is soon targeted by A.R.G.U.S., who use the Superboy as a weapon to try and bring her in. Superboy and Supergirl battle over who is the rightful heir to Superman's title, but they are interrupted by the return of the Bizarro Superman. Together, they save Metropolis from Bizarro, and leave as uneasy allies. Soon after, Superboy leaves A.R.G.U.S.'s custody and eventually finds his way to the Kent farm, where he is soon adopted and takes the name Conner Kent.
2013: Earth is invaded by the Justice Lords, a twisted fascistic incarnation of the Justice League from a parallel universe. Their leader, the tyrannical Ultraman, plans to subjugate all life in the multiverse to his harsh and unforgiving brand of 'justice.' Meanwhile, Lex Luthor re-emerges, breaking into Superman's Fortress and stealing Clark's corpse from Smallville. When Supergirl and Superboy confront the arch-villain, Luthor reveals that he intends to use the Fortress's Genesis Chamber to resurrect Superman, the only being powerful enough to defeat Ultraman and the Justice Lords. Suspicious of Luthor but desperate for help, they agree to the plan, and Lex successfully revives his old nemesis. Together, they drive off the Justice Lords and banish Ultraman from this universe.
The world celebrates Superman's resurrection, and--in a decision that shocks the entire heroic community-- Lex Luthor is given a full pardon thanks to his role in helping save the world. While Clark is wary of Luthor's motives for returning him to life, he is overjoyed to see Lois and his friends again. Luthor, meanwhile, begins a long and arduous process of restoring his name and the reputation of LexCorp, operating apparently on the level for years.
2016: Mr. Mxyzptlk returns on the tenth anniversary of his first 'defeat,' and once again wreaks havoc with reality until Superman outwits him. As a reward, Mxyzptlk warns Superman of an impending crisis, about the coming of 'New Gods' and mysterious child that will be the key to saving all life in the multiverse....or destroying it.
2017: Lois Lane-Kent discovers that she is pregnant.

In New Frontier, I incorporated Carol Danvers and Jessica Drew in a way that both heroines could be utilized to write superhero spy romps, adventurous escapades, and overall kind of silver age-meets-modern age cheese. I have a lot of untapped potential in playing out stories with them so I’m going to give it another shot since my Vicki Vale and Jason Todd POVs are more auxiliary tools to tell Batman stories with Jon (Green Grenade). This will likely be my final POV I request for this game unless I finish up with Space Ghost.
I will be retelling my “Geomancer” story with tweaks to start off before springboarding into other stories.
I will also be forward to working with other prospective characters that are rooted in the modern era including ventures in space, political bits, and with some leeway from the X-Men player to touch on the governments involvement in dealing with Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants. However with that in mind I do not simple wish to copy and paste my posts from New Frontier, so things will be adapted and revised so I am just not giving the impression that this is old hat material.
Ω N O T E S:
I will be dealing with the supervillain known as Geomancer as my central antagonist (or first one), but the idea is to explore SWORD/ARGUS/SHIELD so expect characters like Nick Fury, Amanda Waller, Abagail Brand, and their ilk to show up.
When reports show Jessica is a metahuman she is investigated by SHIELD. Jessica finds herself recruited in their organization and afterwards is awarded a codename— Arachne. The rest is history.
Not the first to bear the Captain Marvel name, Carol Danvers will most certainly not be the last. Working closely with ARGUS and the Intergalactic Community Carol tries to balance her sense of adventure, independence, duty, and ideals in a universe that wants her to be a militant drone and enforcer. She rejects that idea entirely.
As an adult, Carol found herself involved with NASA’s foray into a new space program which had her cross paths with Mar-Vell— a former member of the Kree Empire and an associate of NASA’s in the regards of interstellar expansion and affairs. Not too long after her initial meeting Carol found herself thrown into the thick of trouble when Kree forces appeared and attacked the base she was stationed on. Despite Marvel defeating the invaders Carol was thrown into a damaged Psyche-Magnitron; a device born of Kree technology. Carol was critically injured and the attack by the alien invaders was covered up by SWORD. However, when she recovered something strange had happened: the damaged Kree technology had reacted adversely to Carol’s physiology, changing her genetic structure and molding her into a Kree-like being. The change would be one she wouldn’t discover for sometime.
Following her recovery, Carol eventually severed ties with NASA due to a variety of reasons she was not at liberty to disclose. As she began having strange blackouts and meta-phenomena she decided to check herself out by meeting with experts in the field of meta-biology. With information gained from the studies she would discover what the battle with the Kree had resulted in. As if on cue, ARGUS came walking into her life and she found herself recruited. Remembering Mar-Vell she would take on the codename “Captain Marvel”, a name that stuck.
Soon afterwards she became a superhero in her own right.

With Mark, I want to write a coming-of-age story. He’s a hero that’s always trying to find his place in the world – hell, the universe – unsure of whether the way he goes about things is the right way, and of whether the burden he brings onto the ones he loves, and society as a whole, is worth all his efforts. Even with Superman’s mentorship, he’s going to struggle with being Invincible; with knowing that his father is a threat, not an ally; and with all of the troubles he’ll be forced to face, and put his family and friends through.
No matter what kind of person Mark turns into, be it a hero or a villain, I just want to tell a good story with a character I love.

◼ 1991 | Nolan meets the woman that would become his wife while saving her from a one-time supervillain on a rampage.
◼ 1995 | Newlyweds Nolan and Deborah Grayson move to Baltimore, MD.
◼ 1998 | Markus Grayson is born. Nolan’s science fiction novels sell well enough to provide a steady flow of income.
◼ 2005 | Nolan tells Mark of his Viltrumite origins, explaining the World Betterment Committee. Mark begins anticipating the day he’ll receive his powers.
◼ 2006 | The Dominators invade. Omni-Man assists in Earth’s defence as the invaders crush his allies, and he is temporarily recruited by Amanda Waller into A.R.G.U.S.’s counter force, much to Cecil’s chagrin. They defeat the Dominators, and Nolan leaves the team that’s now been dubbed the “Avengers.”
◼ 2007 | The G.D.A.’s answer to the Avengers is formed. The Guardians of the Globe debut, their roster consisting of the Immortal, Black Samson, Green Ghost, Red Rush, Johnny Thunder, Guardian, Crimson Fox and Nightshade. Omni-Man is offered a position, which, like his recruitment to the Avengers, he declines, instead becoming an honorary member.
◼ 2015 | Mark’s powers manifest while throwing out trash at his workplace, the local Big Belly Burger. He tells his parents that night at the dinner table. Over the next few days, he tests them out, before taking to Baltimore’s streets in a makeshift costume.
A short while later, Nolan takes him to Art Rosenbaum, who’s happy to make Mark a proper outfit. Using Mark’s chosen alias, Invincible, as a starting point, Art soon comes up with a design that sings.
Invincible meets the Teen Team while on patrol – among their members, Atom Eve, a girl he recognises from school. Approaching her the next day during lunch, they strike up a friendship, Invincible becoming an ally of the Teen Team.
As the year draws to a close, the Guardians of the Globe are murdered at their headquarters. Mark and Nolan attend their funeral – much of the superhero community is there. Their killer is not found until March 16th.
◼ March 16th, 2016 | The Immortal comes back to life, his body reassembled by the villainous Mauler Twins. Overcome by rage, he bursts out of the Maulers’ hideout in search of Omni-Man, attacking him on live television. Back in Baltimore, Mark sees the ensuing fight and rushes to help his father, finding him in the sky – his arm punching a hole in Immortal’s body. As the fallen hero plummets to the ground below, Nolan tells Mark the truth about his heritage.
There is no such thing as the World Betterment Committee – the Viltrum Empire is not a utopian society, but rather a warrior race dedicated to expanding their territory by force. Nolan didn’t come to Earth to help humanity, he came there to subjugate it to Viltrumite rule – or otherwise decimate it in its entirety. He asks Mark to join him.
Mark doesn’t.
Their fight is televised. They leave terrible destruction in their wake, and in the end, Mark is left immobile, his father preparing to deliver the killing blow. It never comes. Nolan Grayson flies away, leaving Earth’s atmosphere, disappearing in the vacuum of space.
Post-March 16th | Mark awakens two weeks later at the Global Defence Agency’s medical facilities. Cecil Stedman talks to him about his fight with Nolan, as does Amanda Waller, who departs soon afterwards. Mark is then visited by Batman and Superman of the Justice League. After he’s questioned about his father by the Dark Knight, Superman asks to talk to him in private. The Man of Steel gives him guidance and comfort that stays with Mark ever since, making him strive to be the best hero he could possibly be. After Batman and Superman leave, Cecil asks Mark to work for him as his father did. Mark agrees, and Invincible becomes an employee of the G.D.A.
Over the next few months, Superman checks up on Mark every once in a while to see how he’s doing. During one of those visits, he has company: Superboy and Supergirl, his protégés. It’s then that Mark learns that Superman is Clark Kent, and he’s welcomed to the family by the trio with open arms.

C O N C E P T A B S T R A C T:
I know he's just a children's cartoon, but bear with me, I think with the right direction, Danny Phantom can become something really special. While the show delved into comedy and hit trope after trope of an after-school superhero show, I want to do something different here in Absolute Comics. I want to hit the themes that are inherent in Danny Phantom's concept that the show couldn't cover due to its target audience.
Basically, I want to tell a ghost story. A real ghost story, with horror and chills and moments that make you remember that this is just a fifteen year old kid who died because of a dare, woke up, and found himself launched into a terrifying world he didn't know existed until moments ago.
That being said, I don't want to stray too far from the core of Danny's character. He's still going to be that immature, snarky, occasionally selfish but mostly heroic kid that I grew up watching. He'll still banter even though he's terrified, still find ways to have fun with his ghost powers, and at the end of the day he's still going to give it his all to protect the people he loves. But I'm going to try and incorporate a bit more of an edge to this version of Danny. The supernatural is amazing and horrifying, and fear makes people do drastic, at-times unsettling things in order to protect those they love. This Danny will have to make choices, have to deal with the consequences of his actions, and have to learn that not every battle can be won. That sometimes you lose, and sometimes you lose people, and the only thing you can do about it is learn from your mistake and make sure it never happens again.
The first story arc will be set in 2016 right before his sophomore semester starts, and deal with Danny's coping with his own death and his first few harrowing encounters with ghosts.
TLDR: Danny Phantom: Year One (but the ghosts are actually scary)
N O T E S:
I'm placing Amity Park in northern Minnesota and planning on keeping the majority of the ghostly encounters hidden from public knowledge, which might help explain his relative obscurity in the superhero community.
I'll eventually get a timeline up and running for the little ghost-dweeb.

C O N C E P T A B S T R A C T:
I want to explore Raphael in a universe with other heroes present in it and how he deals with the secretive nature of his clan when there are other mutants in the public eye.
◼ 2000 | Four turtles hatch from a clutch of eggs and are put on sale in a pet store in downtown Manhattan.
◼ 2001 | The four turtles are bought by Stock Gen and subjected to various experiments concerning genetic regeneration. The turtles are named Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael by an intern at Stock Gen.
◼ 2002 | Foot clan ninjas led by Shredder attempt to steal samples of mutagen from Stock Gen, but in their hastiness grab the four turtles as well. During their escape with the mutagen and the turtles, Splinter attacks Shredder and causes him to drop the mutagen and the turtles, where they are washed into the sewers and exposed to the mutagen but are separated from Splinter.
Coming to completely mutated, the turtles have no memory of being simple turtles in Stock Gen or of how they ended up in the sewers. The turtles begin wandering the sewers out of confusion and eventually wind up on the surface where they are shunned by the few people they approach.
Splinter comes to and begins searching for the turtles, retaining his memories of Stock Gen and knowledge of the ninja arts.
◼ 2003 | The turtles slowly begin to remember small things from their past, including their names.
Splinter continues his search for the turtles, who have taken to wandering the streets at night in search of food while staying hidden during the day.
Raphael gets frustrated with hiding away and scrounging for food and sneaks off by himself. On his own, he comes across a group of other animals that were mutated by the same mutagen.
Raphael goes back to his brothers and tells them about the other mutant animals like them and follow him back to where he saw them at. Upon their return, the turtles are greeted by the leader of this group, a mutated raccoon named Apec. The turtles decide to stay among others of their kind.
◼ 2004 | After staying with the group of mutants for about a year, the turtles are approached by Apec and asked to go on a run with a few others from the group. The run turns out to be robbing people in alleyways. Leo confronts Apec about the robbery, but Apec replies by explaining that the group only steals what it needs to survive. Leo realizes this how they’ve been getting food and other supplies and decides to leave, Mikey and Donny going with him. Raphael decides to stay with the group.
Splinter finds the three turtles shortly after they leave Apec and his gang behind and go back to their life of hiding during the day and scavenging at night. Splinter tells the turtles about their life in Stock Gen, the night they were mutated and about how he’s been searching for them since. The turtles then explain to Splinter how they’ve been living the past year and about Raphael joining Apec’s gang of mutants.
Splinter goes to confront Raphael by himself, leaving the other turtles in their makeshift home in the sewers. Raphael refuses to leave the gang even after hearing about his origin from Splinter.
Returning without Raphael, Splinter begins training the other three in the art of ninjutsu so they may defend themselves.
◼ 2005 | Raphael continues running the gang of mutant animals led by Apec, doing simple robbery jobs to feed themselves. He notices the jobs are becoming more frequent and the amount stolen growing with every job but stays quiet.
◼ 2006 | Raphael meets Casey Jones while on a run with other gang members. Casey Jones takes down the gang of mutants and returns their stolen goods to the police station.
Raphael starts sneaking off from the gang to follow Casey at night until he is discovered by Casey. The two become quick friends, despite Casey not agreeing with Raph and his gang stealing from others even if it is to feed themselves.
On a botched job, one of the other gang members, one of Apec’s more trusted lieutenants, pulled a gun on a human. Upon their return, Raphael confronted Apec about the firearm, but Apec threatened to throw him out if he didn’t comply or worse if he made trouble for the rest of them. Thinking the gang was all he had in terms of family and acceptance, Raphael remained quiet, but began sneak out more often to meet with Casey and help people.
◼ 2007 | Splinter and the other turtles stop Apec’s gang during a job and confront Raphael again about leaving the gang behind. Apec gives Raphael a gun and makes him choose between the turtles and the gang. Raphael chooses the turtles, tossing the gun down, and helps his brothers fight the gang off.
Raphael returns home with Splinter and his brothers to being his own training in the ninja arts.
◼ 2008 | Raphael introduces Casey Jones to his brothers and Splinter. Casey becomes a trusted ally to the turtles.
◼ 2009 | Raphael catches onto his combat training quickly and soon catches up with his brothers but still finds it difficult to control his temper.
◼ 2010 | The turtles begin surfacing at night to help those in need of help but remain hidden for their own safety, sometimes accompanied by Casey Jones.
The turtles meet April O’Neil during one of their nightly adventures and become fast friends with her once they realize she was the intern who named them at Stock Gen.
◼ 2011 | The turtles have their first run in with the Foot Clan when they attempt to break into a lab on a nearby college campus that is researching the regrowth of limbs and begin their war with the clan of ninjas led by Shredder.
◼ 2012 | The turtles are ambushed by Apec and his gang. Raphael is shot during the fight by Apec but survives with minor damage.
◼ 2013 | Raphael is grievously wounded in battle with Shredder, forcing the turtles to retreat and find a new home somewhere the Foot Clan cannot find them.
◼ 2014 | Raphael begins fighting alongside his brothers again after taking the time to heal from his battle with Shredder.
◼ 2015 | The turtles meet Arsenal, who winds up in the sewers while on a bender. Arsenal teams up with the turtles to fight the Foot Clan for a brief period of time.
◼ 2016 | The turtles track the Foot Clan to Gotham, where they meet Batman and later team up with the Dark Knight to drive the Foot Clan and League of Assassins out of Gotham.
◼ 2017 | Raphael begins sneaking out to act as a vigilante separate from his brothers and their usual activities, inspired to do so by recent meetings with heroes and the emergence of more and more mutants on the surface. He is occasionally accompanied by his best friend, Casey Jones.

This is my first time being in this kind of genre on this site, but I feel good enough that I can survive it. I picked Catwoman because I love her to death and I always wanted to change Catwoman around a bit. I also wanted to bring back Red Claw for the animated series and make her more of a threat to Catwoman than ever before.
This version's Catwoman had a tough life, like the original Catwoman. However, her parents would die because of drugs and alcohol. The detention center, combined with the abuse back home, made her life more tougher to live in. It wasn't until she found the carnival that life began to treat her good, but good things don't last long. She was forced to live on the streets working with Stan the Pimp. She made several friends, but she knew that she couldn't let the abuse keep on happening. So she fought back and killed him. Normally, Selina would of been fine with it. However, my version was fine with it at first.
Years after thinking of the possibilities (thanks to the Batman's influence), she would come to regret killing Stan. Batman's influence and their 'relationship' would impact her for her remaining life. She knew about this and left him behind, trying to turn back into the 'old' Catwoman. It never went away. However, she would be challenged by Red Claw after not finishing a job for the Claw. It took years for Catwoman to hide; despite her best efforts, Gotham suffers a terrible earthquake and Selina races back home. Now that Red Claw most likely knows that Catwoman will be in Gotham, it's only a matter of time before she's gets attack.
Normally, she would ask Batman's help; however, she can't bring herself to go to him with every problem. So, she tries to capture Red Claw on her own. Both Catwoman's and Selina Kyle's morals and ethics will be conflicted during this plotline.
N O T E S
If your character would accepted the bounty and/or spent time with Catwoman during 2007-2012, then give me a headsup and we could come up with some sort of fun plot together.
𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟱 ⇝ Selina Kyle was born. 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟳 ⇝ Her mother, Maria Kyle, killed herself by overdosing on cocaine to get away from her abusive husband. Afterwards, her father—Brian Kyle—drank himself to death and she was sent to Sprang Hall Juvenile Detention Center. 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟴 ⇝ Selina had enough of abuse for the detention center and ran away, heading far away from the place. She eventually found herself a carnival and tried her luck pickpocketing the crowd. Soon enough, she was caught by the owner and offered a place in the carnival than juvenile hall. She accepted. 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟬 ⇝ During Kyle's time at the carnival, she learned the art of contortionism, gymnastics, magic and trickery. She also improved her pickpocketing skills on new crowds while performing. The original owner died later in the year and replaced by a younger owner. Kyle decided to live life on the streets becoming a prostitute in the East End of Gotham. A few months later, she met with an underage girl named Holly Robinson while working for their abusive pimp Stan. After taking a couple beatings, she decided to go to the local boxing gym to teach herself some fighting skills. That was when she met Julián Magrina, a boxer, and he taught her some new fighting moves. 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟭 ⇝ It wasn't until the cold month of March that she finally got the guts to defend herself against Stan. Luck was at herself for the first few hits, but she eventually lost and toss outside. Feeling ashamed of herself, she took a long walk around East End thinking about her future. That was when she heard some shouting and gunshots coming from a construction site nearby. Curious about the noise, she went further to investigate and encountered a figure that used the shadows to attack. One by one, the thugs were taken into the darkness while yelling for help. She kept behind the trash cans for a few minutes until the police arrived.
With her catsuit that Stan got her, she lied to him about being stabbed in the leg outside an alleyway. He soon left his place and arrived at Kyle's location, realizing that no-one was there. Selina Kyle pounced on him and started scratching his face up. After five minutes of clawing at his face, she realized that he had lost too much blood. She was overjoyed at the fact that her abuser was dead, but wished that he lived long enough to suffer like she had. With her catsuit covered in blood, she went back home to tell Holly of the news. Holly didn't know what to do with the news, the majority of her life was spent on the streets. Selina hooked her up with Julián Magrina to help her start a new life while she stayed at East End, starting a new chapter in her life. 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟰 ⇝ After that night, Selina quickly brought a new, upgradeable cat suit and became a thief. For three years, she was fine with being a 'horrible person' since it paid for the weapons and her home—The Tin Roof Club. That was changed when she met the Batman for the first time since that faithful night. Some won't believe her when she says that Batman fell onto the club's fire escape, which happened to be near her home. After fighting Deadshot, Batman was shot in the chest and fell towards the fire escape. Selina was shocked to discover that the Batman had been landed near her home and discovered the wound. She brought him into her home and fixed him up, spent the whole night with him before going to sleep. The stitches weren't done by any doctor, but she did her best with the supplies that she had.
When morning came, she was the first up and discovered that the Batman was still in her bed. Being nosy, she took off the mask to discover that Bruce Wayne was the Batman. It made sense to Selina on how he was able to afford all of his gadgets. She planned on putting the mask back on him, but he woke too early. He was rightfully upset at her and left to stop Deadshot, stating that he would deal with her 'later.' As soon as he left, she was knew that this Deadshot person was going to get Batman. She got dressed as Catwoman and tried to pin down his location in a twelve hour search all over Gotham. It was all hopeless until she heard gunshots and found Batman and Deadshot. That was how she helped Batman fought off Deadshot.
After the fight, Batman knew that Catwoman was Selina right away and called her out about earlier. Using her looks and charm, she managed to calm him down a bit before they kissed. That was how their 'relationship' started. 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟳 ⇝ Catwoman decided to end her 'relationship' with Batman and move out of Gotham to travel all over the world as a way of getting over Bruce. She handed over the club to Magrina and left Gotham, but not before saying goodbye to Batman. After her leave, she did what she told her and traveled all over doing jobs for people. She stole for heroes and villains, fought some of them, teamed up with a few of them, and helped out a couple individuals. During her time away from Gotham, she met Red Claw. At first, it was just a simple job that the Red Claw needed. Steal something off of a train headed for Berlin. Something then happened aboard the train that made Red Claw angry enough to put out a bounty. 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟭 ⇝ After years spent on the run, Selina heard about the earthquake in Gotham and returned home. East End suffered deaths and destruction that were brought by the earthquake and it's aftermath. Catwoman discovered that the Tin Roof Club had been destroyed and killed several people, including Julián Magrina. Feeling terrible for her friend's death, she decided to stay in Gotham and rebuild the club. However, she always kept an eye out for Red Claw or anyone that took her offer. 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮 ⇝ When she heard the problems that Batman faced while she was gone, Catwoman wanted to meet him. She stopped by Wayne Manor to check up on Bruce and the rest of the family. As she entered, Alfred welcomed her and walked her towards the hidden pathway. However, he stopped and explained the entire situation from the earthquakes to the Joker. He's worried about how guilt that Bruce developed since meeting with the freak. It cost him Dick as he got tired of Bruce being more strict. Alfred was feeling terrible for not addressing it sooner, but he's grateful for her arrival and suggests that she could talk to him about getting help. She agrees and heads for the Batcave to see her friend again.
Catwoman greeted the Batman and talked for a bit about the situation with Gotham since she left before talking about the Joker. When she mentioned Joker, Bruce got upset with her and demanded to stop talking about him. Selina refused and tried to make him see reason. In order to do that, she had to admit that she regretted killing Stan and it changed her life. She suggested to him about getting help before it's too late, using herself as an example of not getting help. 'If you don't address your guilt, you could end up like me.' she said to him. It wasn't clear whether or not he agreed, but things ended rather positivity between them. Selina told Alfred that it's up to him to make sure that he gets the help and asks for him to update her as soon as possible. Then she left. 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟲 ⇝ Present Day.
MORDRED PENDRAGON ♦ c. 527 AD (1,490) ♦ MALE ♦ NEUTRAL
C O N C E P T A B S T R A C T:
Inspired by Marvel's Fear Itself storyline and the Doctor Strange movie set in the Marvel cinematic universe, this take on Mordred borrows heavily from the wealth of literature and the historical literary debate surrounding the role of Mordred in Arthurian legend, with the obvious nod to the DC Animated Universe. Is Mordred the hero? Is Mordred the villain? Is Mordred just a victim of fate? It's true. All of it.
Mordred is the son of Arthur and his half-sister, Morgaine. Like Arthur, he was conceived through deception and illusion, marking that the difference between Merlin and Morgaine is one of perspective rather than methods. Also like Arthur, who was used by Merlin in bringing his envisioned utopia to fruition, Mordred is a means to an ends for Morgaine. He is to her what Arthur was for Merlin, a means by which to rule the one who wears the crown and be free of the crown itself (all the power, none of the responsibility). He served as a page and squired for Sir Brian of Kent, also known as the Silent Knight, and wielded Clarent, one of the swords of King Arthur.
He and Arthur were both present for the Battle of Camlann, at which Arthur wielded Excalibur and Mordred wielded Clarent, the latter of which would become broken - and the broken shard of Clarent would find its way into Arthur's mortal wound. But what really happened is a litany of lies that have been told to satisfy the egos of the three people who manipulated all the events leading up to Camlann. Merlin. Morgaine. And Morgaine's lover, Jason of Normandy (also known as Jason Blood). Somewhere inbetween the lies, the egos, and the conspiratorial whispers designed to grasp the throne of all Britain is one young boy who never asked to exist and yet is judged by history for no greater crime than being born.
To some, he is the rightful heir to Arthur's throne. To others, he is history's most magnificent bastard. And none now live who could claim to know the right by any of the deeds he may, or may not, have performed.
Setting the stage for our story, Morgaine Le Fey has vanished. The search for his mother reveals a threat to England, if not the world, propelling Mordred into the footsteps of his father and his mother both. Will he become the knight he was meant to be? Or will he become the villain history has made him out to be?
N O T E S:
BASIC TIMELINE
• 527 AD - Morgaine le Fay, half-sister to Arthur Pendragon, enchants and deceives her brother in order to conceive Mordred - the first in a grand scheme to depose and replace Arthur that would seat her as the Shadow Queen of all Britannia.
• 536 AD - Mordred becomes page and squire to Sir Brian of Kent, the Silent Knight. When his knight loses his sword, Mordred goes searching for a replacement and returns with Clarent, King Arthur's knighting sword. Historians debate whether Arthur bestowed the sword to Mordred or if Mordred simply stole it, the latter being the more popular in line with Mordred's modern interpretation as the traitor of Camelot.
• 537 AD - The Battle of Camlann, in which Arthur and Mordred fell. It is unclear from the oldest surviving histories whether Mordred fought with or against Arthur, though this was the battle in which Jason Blood did betray Arthur and conspired with Morgaine le Fay to depose him. Over time, authors have associated Mordred's name with treachery, and laid the blame for Arthur's death on his hands.
• September 1919 - A British archaeologist by the name of Morganna de la Fontaine (Morgaine le Fay) presents Adolf Hitler with the Spear of Longinus, the lance that pierced the side of Christ, enabling his rise to power. In exchange, she asks only for access to German research in the years to come.
• 1925-1927 - German Meteor expedition to the antarctic. Crew lists include Morganna de la Fontaine (Morgaine le Fay), who guides the expedition to covertly recover the Crystal of Kadavus during sonar mapping of the South Atlantic Ridge.
• 26 January 1937 - The first full moon on the 1,400th anniversary of the Battle of Camlann. Using the power of Crystal of Kadavus on Mordred's remains. As he was conceived with magic, the artifact partially restores Mordred's being, but does not restore him to life.
• 25 February 1937 - The second full moon of the 1,400th anniversary of the Battle of Camlann. Using the Crystal of Kadavus, Morgaine le Fay restores Mordred to life and, drawing power from the realm of Annwn, casts a spell granting him eternal youth.
• March 1942 - Negotiations on the rule of England following Nazi victory in Europe are postponed after Allied victories in Germany prompt Morgaine to take Mordred and flee Nazi Germany. The pair settle on the Isle of Murias in Annwn.
• April 1953 - The bicentenary of the British Museum, which is celebrated with a showcasing of artifacts related to the legend of King Arthur, including Goswhit, the helmet of Arthur. Mordred creates a public disturbance when he tries to recover his father's helmet, only to be stopped by Sir Justin (Ystin).
• May 2005 - The E3 convention in Star City, California. Mordred attends and is attacked by Etrigan the Demon, seeking to draw out Morgaine le Fay. The wounded Mordred is enchanted to sleep until it is time for him to claim his kingdom (and to keep him from wandering off) by Morgaine.
• January 2017 - Mordred awakens in the Castle Murias, with no sign of his mother. Leaving Annwn, the boy searches for clues as to where she may have gone, and what she may have been doing.

For this iteration of Alan, I'm keeping most of his story the same and will be combining parts of the original concept for him as well as the Earth 2 version. One major difference with this iteration will be Alan being much older, being alive during the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad and getting his powers from an accident during that time. I will also be making Alan bisexual in this iteration, having a wife during his life before getting his powers and then a husband later on, probably during modern times around 2013 or so. The third major difference will be Alan having more to do with the Green Lantern Corps and possibly accepting an offer to join their ranks later on. I want to explore Alan in multiple time periods, both on Earth and in space.
