Well this has taken me too long to get, my bad for that.
Anyhow, where this was all going...
While we're all in Harlan, more and more the outside world was going to learn about the events in both Harlan and Atlanta. Things were going to be slightly spun so that it looked like it was all our faults. The powers were going to come out to the public and we were going to look like freaks, lepers, pariahs, so forth and so on. The title of the Unwanted was really going to pass right.
This all happens while we are completely isolated and have no idea whats going on. Us, ourselves however were going to sit in the mountains and work on the use, control and understanding our powers. While doing that, getting sent on on errands for our hidden villain and dealing with other issues. Things like the characters adjusting to life with each other, new settings, so forth and so on.
More than anything in this part of the of the rp I wanted to get into the... psychological aspect of... The powers, the world seemingly scared and frighten of us. Some creepy shadow dude pulling strings from some unknown position, all that jazz.
We had a pretty diverse cast of characters so I thought this part was going to be a tad bit boring, but the most interesting. I threw the monster thing in just to shake things up and show where things were going go.
After the this, the second act. We were going to New Orleans. After a bit of a history lesson it was going come out that this was all put into place by some sort of hoodoo cult that somehow tied into Marie Laveau.
Here are some fun facts about Marie Laveau. She was a devoute catholic, and did so much in the name of the catholic church that there were calls for her to be canonized as a saint. No one really knows where she was buried, Saint Louis Cemetery No. 1 plot 347 is the expected place but no one really knows for sure.
There are all kinds of legends and rumors and folk tales about her. There was one that got really interested in her, it was that her tomb was an entrance to hell.
One of old folk tales I read about her was that her tomb was either at the start or end of a some sort of pattern that when done in the right order would lead us to hell and some sort of conversation with Satan or Beelzebub or whatever you wanna call the dude/entity.I can't remember how or what I said but I made a reference to the devil in one of my first posts.
Now that meeting leads us to choice, let the devil run wild on the world, or try to keep the devil right where dude is? Would the group as a whole go one way or another? Would there be a split? Who is going where? Will there be a mortal kombat style battle to death? So forth and so on. After that, I'm not really sure what was gonna happen.
The biggest reason I wanted go this route was... You have a group of powerful beings that has been shunned by the world. Beings that could take over a city or county or state or whatever. So what happens when these being now have a chance to take over the world?
That's the general idea of where everything was going to go. I'm sure a lot of things were going to change as we went but that was the basic outline of everything. I know that it wasn't going to be the most popular direction but I did think it was really interesting.
You guys stuck it out for as long as you did, I thought it was only fair to let you guys know how this was going to end. I hate things happened out like they did. Either way I do thank you guys for all the effort and dedication each of you put into this. I know we didn't finish it, and that is my bad all the way. I do think we lasted a lot longer than other RPs and this is really cool for me.
