Mark O'Donnell looked over the gathered students, even looking them over microscopically in an attempt to understand their powers better. Sure, he couldn't zoom in too much with a piece of mirrored glass in between them, but he could see if they had hair, scales, feathers or the like, which could help explain their abilities. When his gaze swept under the table, however, he realized that something was out of focus. He zoomed out a little ways and saw that it was fabric that appeared to be died to mimic the carpet in the room. Oh, no, he thought. I told you to go eat breakfast and watch TV until I got back.

Well, it was too late to deal with that now. All of the students were waiting to find out why they were there. He'd just have to see if any of them noticed her there. He opened up the door into the room, one made of a two-way mirror so they wouldn't realize it was there, and entered the room.

"Hello, students." He said. "I'm Mark O'Donnell. You can call me Mark or Professor O'Donnell, whichever you want. You've been invited here because Dr. Ashford feels that all of you have the potential to be more than just average students, maybe to even be the first group to graduate. Doing so, however, will mean a lot of hard work on your part, as you'll have to earn your spot. Because of that, you'll gain access to programs and facilities that others do not."

---

Camilla had snuck in when the first girl had entered and quickly hid under the table. She wanted to know what this was all about, and knew that if she hid in the room she could find out. Thankfully no one had kicked her by accident yet.

The professor might have seen Markus' mutation which unknown to himself even was always active in immediate vicinity. That being a very thin and unseen to naked eye aura or cloud of pheromones encasing whole frame. It was in a constant state of swift movements even if remained no further then inch or estimated off of body. Right hand had lifted the brim of the hat was wearing at the sound of the introduction of some higher up finally showing themselves. Both feet remained stubbornly planted on the seat directly in front of one occupied.

Phone was yanked out of trench coat pocket to snap a photo of Mark then add a name so would not forget the staff. If any had a chance to look in phone, they'd spot that any which was introduced to, fellow student wise, would be a photo and name. This was so he would be able to semi remember each if had to.

"And what if we don't care about graduating and simply want to figure the heck out how to handle these 'gifts' or in some cases curses better? Sure I am not the only here that is sick of not knowing much about how they exactly work." His voice used was not filled any bit with anger even if had a edge to what said. Since he knew better then let emotions get better of him due to how it tended to effect his power. Markus did glance around the other students to see if any might have done anything indicating might have agreed with him.

"So basically we are your guinea pigs for creating X-Men 2.0?" Temperance can't believe Natalie was right. "Isn't one super powered criminal gang taking the laws into their hands enough?" She stands up. "Count me out, I have no intention of becoming a some masked 'hero' breaking the law to enforce the law. You do not have the right to tell people that your enemies are the bad guys when you are breaking the law yourself." Temperance storms out the room slamming the door behind her as hard as she could. She proceeds to her room, on the way she calls the FBI. After getting through a phone tree she is told to wait that someone will be with her in ten minutes. "Fucking hold music." She throws her phone against the wall landing on the bed. "God damn assholes invited me here under the pretense of learning to control my power and then proceed to ask me to join a gang that uses powers. They are no fucking better than the Brotherhood." After a moments pause. "Yes you were right, they only wanted to use my 'gift', they don't care what it does to me. To bad you can't do anything about it, must be killing you." She pauses for another moment. "Even if it was possible, I would never gain control again." She begins packing her stuff.

Lily patiently waited for a couple of students to express each of their opinions regarding the reason behind their meeting. She even watched as the redhead made one hell of a dramatic exit. When the room was once again silent, the girl then raised her hand, mainly out of habit, to ask a question of her own.

"What are these facilities you mentioned?"

She was somewhat excited as well as concerned about what Dr. Ashford had planned for them. No doubt such feeling came after the two previous students worded their doubts towards the matter. But Lily felt somewhat trapped. She had fled from home and certainly didn't want to go crawling back, especially after the way she treated her family, and she wasn't entirely sure she was a right fit for whatever program they were going to be a part of.

Things had escalated quickly. ‘Why do things always have to escalate around me?’ Nathan thought to himself. He did have a history of causing escalation but as far as he knew he wasn’t the cause; at least this time. He watched as students walked in while still listening to the altercation that was taking place. It was strange to really stop and look because he could tell just how many different walks of life were represented in this room; yet they were already in a dispute.

“Well, so much for mutant unity.” He mumbled under his breath unaware that it hadn’t emerged as a thought solely in his head. It was just about then that one of the instructors arrived. He spoke of graduation, the idea of the students in the room representing the first class to graduate this program. Professor O'Donnell mentioned that Dr. Ashford “feels” that they could be the ones. That stood out to him because they hadn’t even truly started the program yet so he wondered what exactly the words meant, or if it had anything to do with the Doctor’s mutant abilities. Nonetheless, Nathan took the words in and looked around the room once more, at a group of teens and young adults that had just been arguing and smiled sarcastically at the thought of them being the first class to graduate. Irony, to him, was the funniest thing in the world.

Right on cue more aggression emerged from a couple of the students as they questioned Professor O'Donnell’s words. Nathan honestly understood where they were coming from. He hadn’t come here necessarily to sign up as part of a mutant army or any shit like that. He had come here mostly to get away from where he had been, and to hopefully start to heal from what had happened.

“Mother loves you Nathaniel. You can’t escape my love and you will never escape the love of God. I will not let the devil take you.” He heard the words in his head so clearly it was as though she were standing in front of him. Of course, that would be impossible because she is dead. ‘Thank God she is dead’. Immediately that thought came with guilt, with regret, and with nausea. He forced the memories back down deep into his mind and returned his focus to the scene playing out in front of him. It was just in time for him to hear a question about the “…programs and facilities…” that they would get access to.

@Burning KittyWhen Camilla saw the woman storm out of the room, she knew that whatever her problem was, it was more interesting than listening to them talk about graduation. She climbed out from under the table, not caring if she bumped into anyone, and ran out the closing door, following the woman to her room.

She walked to the end of the bed as the woman talked to herself, and revealed herself. "I don't like it when Daddy asks me to do more homework either, but I just refuse to do it, not run away and call the cops on him. What's wrong? Are you afraid that people here won't like you because of you powers? I'm pretty sure they've got powers too."

Temperance was more than startled when the little girl revealed herself. She shrieked in terror. "Don't scare me like that." She clutched at her chest. When her heart settled down she responded. "I know they have powers, that is the whole point of this place. Homework doesn't bother me I am an excellent student. The problem is this place wants me to use my powers, I am not willing to use my powers for any reason. I do not need another voice in my head or another death on my hands. Besides what he wants me to become is a vigilante and according to the laws of America that is a crime. I am going to have a hard enough time at atoning for all my sins in escaping ISIS captivity I do not need to add more as a criminal." She began motioning for the girl to leave. "I've got stuff to do."

The Professor looked over the man that asked the question. It was subtle, but he had a much higher level of pheromones coming off of him than the average person. At least twenty times as much. "Your body is making a lot of pheromones." he said, pointing at the man so that they knew who he was talking to. "I would guess that you can alter the level and type, manipulating people's emotions. I'd have to run a few tests to be sure, though."

He started to do the same with the next person to respond, but she just accused him of being a criminal and ran away.

@Xandrya

"What are these facilities you mentioned?"

"Oh, we customize most of them to the person, though we do have a sort of gym which will create different scenarios for you to adapt to."

---

Camilla looked confused but didn't move. She was too exited to leave now. "What's a vigi...whatever? Did you really run away from an Egyptian goddess? You said "sin" so you must have. I'm good at hiding but even I don't think I could do that."

Hearing the admittedly well-justified negativity towards the prospect of being X-men, this sobered Natalie up to the less idealistic real world. Not everyone wanted to go off saving the world. A few of them didn't even want to learn to hone their powers, instead wanting to learn to suppress them. To Natalie, however, control is control, that the more you're taught to control your powers, the better you can both utilise and suppress them. Even Nat wanted to live a life where if she was going round shopping, and got surprised, stressed or excited, she didn't accidentally break something, or bend metal, or anything else she's done before.

"I have a few questions about this." She suddenly asked. "Let's get the big one out of the way; Are you trying to make us X-men? Second question; isn't graduation based on how much we learn and how well we do on tests in math, science, english, and stuff? How do you fast-track that with just training? I mean nobody likes school but it is important!"

Temperance face palmed. "Vigilante." She spoke it slowly, as if speaking to mentally challenged person or a child. "A citizen who illegally takes the law into his or her hands. Not only that but they commit other crimes as well. Sin is the act of violating God's divine law. Not a fake Egyptian goddess. Now please leave, I have to pack."
