Hank had no problems with allowing Heidi follow along. Perhaps the could help show Jurgen around. The only thing that she was worried about was that Jurgen was clearly excited to see Hank, and the conversation the two might have might leave Heidi in the dust. On the other hand, she was volunteering to be social, which was a big step up for her.

"We have the danger room down below for stretching our abilities, Jurgen." Hank smiled rather slyly. He was curious to see the full capabilities of Jurgen's mutations. While all of Hank's mutations led into his bestial form, Jurgen seemed to offer more. Perhaps this was the strange way of telling Hank that Jurgen was to be his replacement, and that Hank should become a mentor for the boy.

Who knew?

Emma, whether Rosemary was aware of it or not, had tapped into the girl's mind to see the images play out as she retold them. This was the best way for her to assess the situation. She could feel the images in Rose's mind, no longer wanting to call her by her given name if Rosemary herself didn't want it.

She remained quiet throughout the story. She could understand the girl on a level that few could understand, even without telepathic powers. Before she had mastered her mental mutation, she was forced to do more physical persuasions.

"So." Emma stated, sitting tall and proud in Booker's chair. "Is Mary your surname? Or are you simply Rosemary?" Her first question might have seemed like a strange one, but it had more purpose than just what Emma herself should call the girl in her mind. Which ever answer she picked, Emma made a note of it, and proceeded, no matter what she might try to ask back. "I'm no teacher here," She chuckled. "but I will grant you permission to use my first name however you like."

"Gift or curse, your mutation is physical adaptation." Something that didn't need to be said, especially after Emma witnessed her in the women's bathroom back at the Greensend Bank. Emma had seen worse, but maybe this wasn't a job for just Emma. Mystique was a good choice for a pep talk, but real body positivity came from Hank McCoy. "If you are religious, perhaps this is your choice deity giving you another option. Perhaps you feel as this is the ultimate curse, being unable to die after the world has already killed who you are."

She paused, letting the words sink in. "Rose Mary, your new name. The Xavier Academy, your new home. Have the X-Men become your new family? Your mutation aside, these are choices you have given yourself. Charles can be a terrifying man when using all of his power, but he will never force anyone to stay here. He learned that lesson long ago. You wanted to come here, so here you are." Her eyes closed, her form turning a pale grey, then clear. Her body had turned into a living diamond, her secondary ability compared to her telepathy.

"We're close, you and I. I was presumed dead after the fall of the Hellfire club many, many years ago. I was found, captured by Bolivar Trask. He experimented on me, but I escaped again, ensuring that Emma Frost was completely dead. But, I found myself at the Massachusetts Academy. I manipulated my way to the top without being seen or recognized, and turned it into my own Xavier Academy." A single foot planted into the ground spun the chair softly from side to side, her body turning back into flesh. "At first it was to overthrow Xavier with my own mutants, my Warlocks. But they became my children. My family. I explained my terms to you before, so I need not say them again. You have had it far worse than I can truly imagine, but I do believe that I can attempt to understand the pain that you have gone through."

She leaned close, offering a small smile. "You are safe here, in the house that explodes every other year. Catch up on time. Don't let the past control you, but let it remind you that we are all here to make the world a better place, up in front next to Scott Summers, or further in the back with me."

Heidi smiled as she was to be included in the tour. "I'd say all classes are 'worth it' but it depends what you're interested in," she answers the new boy with, before she spots Tatiana, who she beckons over.

"First off, why were you out the mansion?" the younger girl asks with more curiosity than accusing, though it's clear she has her own guesses why. "Secondly I was wondering why you took my form on the transport earlier. Third, would you like to come with us on a tour of the school?"

"I like to hunt." Tatiana wipes her mouth off, making sure no blood was there. "When I stop concentrating sometimes I take the form of a subject I am thinking about. I was thinking about that small taste of your blood I got in the Danger Room on that weapon you tossed at me." She pondered the tour for a moment. She did like Beast, he was her second favorite teacher. That new student was a little to giddy for her tastes. "Sorry got to catch up on my classes plus I have a mystery I would like to solve. Bye." She walked to her room. The mystery was the source of the blood, it was definitely mutant, but it was different. Heidi's blood had the sweet taste but still had normal flavorings of human blood had.

"I am not who I was before I was Rose Mary, which is like a girl who goes by Mary-Anne except instead of a hyphen there is a space. It is one name. I do not like being called Rose or Mary. I presume you know the source of the name?" She really hoped she didn't have to explain it.

"I was brought up in two religious homes, one used it as it was intended at least my mother did, my foster parents were criminals who abused it to further their own ends. I do not know if I am religious but if Heaven and Hell are real I am going to the latter." After the bank she realized she wanted to live up to the example her mother set, that she abandoned all those years ago.

"I do not know the X-Men or any of the students well enough to consider them family. Besides my track record with families is not great." Her history had soured her on the idea of family.

"Technically the only reason I came was because I thought I was going to get paid for a few minutes of the horizontal tango. I stayed because I haven't found anything better yet. Besides free food and a nice warm bed is hard to turn down." When Emma turned into a diamond she was so pretty, the way the sunlight hit her made the most beautiful rainbow around the room. She was disappointed when she turned back to flesh. She so wanted to mimic that form one day.

"I don't belong in the back. I am the tank." She hoped she didn't have to explain that rpg term. "The reason I wanted to talk with Booker, I need to make amends for my crimes, to redeem myself in my mother's eyes. So much blood is on my hands." She began wiping off the blood she imagined on her new jeans.

"I am not Samantha Kensington anymore that person is dead in more than one ways and I don't think I want to be Rose Mary anymore either. For now the latter is fine, until I figure it out."

There was something else she wanted to say, but didn't because it would be inappropriate in a teacher/psychiatrist relationship. "If you'll excuse me I need to find Ms. Darkholme." She ran out of the office. Before she got very far she turned back. "Thanks Ms. Frost." She ran looking for Mystique, but first stopping by the hangar to find her uniform, if things went as planned she wouldn't want her new clothes messed up.

Mystique was about as hard to find as a lighthouse on a stormy night, but that evening she was nowhere to be found. Forge, who lived in the danger room more than even mystique, was unsure of where Raven had run off to. She said that she had important matters to talk to, and that was as helpful as he could be at the moment.

Remy had landed the ship a little later than planned. He had hoped to reach the mansion in time for supper, but they were just finishing up as they touched down. Remy could see that bonny was trying to keep herself awake, and assisted in that until they met the professor. He assured bonny that she'd be working with the resident councilor and his newly appointed psych assistant. She would have her own room and a schedule and teachers tailored to helping her as much as possible.

The next morning, Shawn woke with a start. His dream was rightfully a long one, dwelling on the mission passed and the door that he believed he caused to explode.

"Heidi." The name escaped his mouth as a realization came to his mind. He needed to talk to her about the day before. He didn't get very far in the medical bay before the nurse found and approached him. He had suffered a minor concussion, and aside from some cuts on the bottom portion of his face, he was most kinds of healthy. After promising to take it easy, shawn took off to find the girl on his mind.

It was 7:45. Heidi had just finished running her laps around the school, precise to the exact second. Her morning routine was very strict. She would now return to her room, change, shower and then go down for breakfast. As she headed back to her room she began to ponder Tatiana. It might be worth looking into solutions to her blood problem, be it experimenting with alternatives, or offering herself as a donor. There were other solutions too, all with their own obstacles in actually going through with.

---

After breakfast, Heidi had a free period, so decided to check on Shawn. He should have recovered from his injuries enough to talk right now, though he shouldn't be out of bed just yet, so she headed towards the medical wing.

Chrys woke late in the morning. Despite suffering massove damage to his internal organs and rupturing his eardrums his body healed from it. Wasn't perfect, still had a slight ring if he heard loud noises, but at least he was concious. Closing his eyes he thought back to the event... He had failed. He failed to protect everyone... He clenched his fists, angrily. He would get stronger. He had to. Closing his eyes he let himself drift off to sleep, urging his body to heal.

Shawn walked at a steady pace, despite Doc Clements telling him to take things easy. Now was not the time for easy. Now was the time to start pushing little by little. His body ached, rightfully so, but he didn't mention a word of it to the good doctor. Shawn could move his arms around and walk just fine with a little extra effort into the fluidity of the motions.

He was dressed in a light shirt and sweats, apparently having been changed out of his armor sometime after landing. He hoped that it was just the good doctor or someone relatively professional. He didn't want anyone who he considered personally important changing his clothes for him. Clements seemed to want to say something to Shawn because Clements left, but something pulled him away from Shawn and over to Chrys, his other resident.

Turning a hall, he almost ran into an incoming Heidi. Standing up on his toes and strangely moving and twisting around her, he slowed down to a halt. His body burned from the quick movements, but the hiss he almost let out was only a quick breath to steel himself. "Heidi!" He said again, exerting a little more force to seem fine. "Just the person I wanted to see."

Doctor Caldwell Clement was in an interesting situation. He had two young teens to care for with his mutation, but only one was feeling the full effects. Chrys was a rather textbook case in terms of mutations. It just sprang up one day. As the first mutant in his family, though, Chrys was interesting in that case. His condition was far worse than Shawn's, so Chrys was given more attention.

But Shawn's body refused the biotic healing.

Slow and steady wins the race, even with mutant healing. Unlike a healing factor, Caldwell's biotic healing relied on the natural healing process of the body he was healing. If he were to work too fast, he could easily trim decades off a person's lifespan. He needed a careful mix of actual doctoring and his mutation to ensure he didn't harm the body while healing it.

Chrys needed more work, and all of that work left the good doctor rather tired. He had talked to Shawn briefly, mentioning a concussion, but not telling him the full extent of his injuries. Thankfully, for the sake of Shawn's stress levels, Shawn didn't quite understand how much Caldwell could restore a person. A minor concussion wasn't world ending, but Calwell wasn't able to tell him anything else before Chrys was registered as awake. Caldwell rushed from Shawn to Chrys to continued his work.

"Good morning, Chrys." Caldwell greeted carefully. "That was quite a show you put on yesterday, from what I heard. Unfortunately, you wrecked your body pretty badly from pushing your mutation so hard." He looked around and to the ground, keeping a soft and level voice in the quiet med bay. "On the upside, I've been working as hard as I can to make sure that everything sets back in right, and that you'll be in functioning order by sunset."

For once in what seemed like forever, Bonny got the full nights rest that she needed. She had handed over the ridiculous amount of cookies to the nearest staff member to distribute at some point, ate something or another last night, and crashed in her bed surrounded by copious stuffed toys the second she got to it. It was all a bit of an exhausted blur, really; she awoke to a blaring alarm and the stuffies she had snuggled with sprawled around her bed, and she vaguely recalled some sort of a dream about setting up camp in a new place. A normal, simple dream that she expected to have. With a yawn, she rolled out of bed, hit her alarm clock on the head and checked the screen. 8:45, right on time. With that in mind, she spent some time tidying up all the toys that scattered themselves the night before, picked her fox to come with her for the day, got changed, and left her room. She still looked like a mess, but at least she looked like a dressed mess.

She slipped out of her room, looking both ways before closing it. Her schedule wasn’t too harsh; pop into Mr. Bookers office to say hello and have a more formal introduction, grab something to eat, and then pop into her first class and try to catch up. The man, from what she had seen of him yesterday, seemed rather nice. It wasn’t really worrying her to go find him. With her plush toy in her arms she wandered the halls, poking around and finding directions until she reached what she could assume to be Bookers office. Hopefully he was in there.

After a few seconds of waiting, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door. “Sir, are you there? It’s me, Bonny. Poppin’ in to say hi and stuff.” She hoped that was a decent enough first impression.

Heidi was surprised to see Shawn, but quickly composed herself. "Shawn, I'm not really sure you should be out of bed!" she exclaimed, before looking at him up and down, and looking right into his eyes without having to open them and shine a light in. "Severe bruising, muscle fatigue, minor concussion. That's not surprising given what happened. It could have been a lot worse." After she finished speaking, her memory caught up with the rest of her. "...Wait, why was I the person you wanted to see?"

Chrys opens his eyes, grunting as he turns his head. "How bad was it... The damage? How are the others?" Part of him was glad that he'd be able to get out so early. He was expecting that he'd be here for a while... His main worry was the extent of the damage he'd done to himself. The limiter he was given when his powers started developing was the main reason his body was in such bad shape... If only he could find a way to get rid of the thing, purge it from him, he'd be stronger...

"Minor injuries." Caldwell smiled at Chrys. "You and Shawn took the most damage, but I'm patching you up the best I can." He looked over his medical charts, examining them as he remembered he had jotted something down regarding Chrys. "I can't help but notice that something is offsetting your mutation. Something like this is man made, and doesn't come around often. I'm doing what I can to work with and around it for the time being, but I might need you back for regular checkups to see if I can't do something about that. In the future, it's possible that something like that might affect further development of your mutation, and maybe even your life."

Booker was sitting in his office.

On the other side of his desk.

Emma Frost had taken his spot at the desk as she looked over his files, noting all of the students that he had listed for his teams. She missed her warlocks, but she did pity Booker for having completely lost people before. It was only by a stroke of telepathic luck that she knew they were alive.

When Bonny knocked on the door, Booker shifted in his chair to look at the door, smiling as he saw his newest candidate. Emma noticed this, and smiled as well. The sleeper, such a strange and interesting power that she would certainly have to help with. A little light telekinesis opened the door, and Bonny was seen on the other side.

"I'm Booker, this is Emma." He motioned to both himself and his friend. "Welcome to the academy. Do you have any questions that Remy might have missed? He took off last night before you woke."

"Yeah," He shrugged. He knew he was beaten up, but he was just impressed that Heidi could get all of that from a look. He knew she was smart, but that was impressive. "I... I need your help." His eyes shifted to the ground below. "I bit off more than I can chew yesterday and it cost us the mission. I don't want something like that to happen again. We took too long getting someone to step up, and maybe Booker should have taken charge a little more. Chrys is still in pretty bad shape, I'm functional, but that radioactive guy wasn't out for blood."

Another sigh escaped his lips. He focused to look Heidi in the eyes, readying himself for what he was going to say next.

"Heidi. I know the last time I asked something of you, it didn't go well. But I need you to put faith in me again. I need help being this team's leader."

The door swung open on it’s own, and Bonny found herself staring at it in surprise for a few seconds before poking her head inside. She was met with two people; one she assumed to be Booker, and another lady that was introduced to her as Emma. She gave a small nod of acknowledgement, entering the room and shifting her gaze between the two. Which one of them opened the door? She shook the thought from her head, opting to ask the questions she had instead of bring up more.

“Uh, he covered the basics on the flight here, yeah. And I got my class schedule and everything. Mostly just came to say hi and ask where breakfast is. And… to ask about additional mutation training”. Her voice dropped a little bit at the end of her sentence, but she managed not to avert her gaze from the two. It felt a little bit embarrassing having to ask for specifics up front, but it was one she’d have to deal with. “I was told you know my mutation already, and I’d say I’m pretty good with it a lot of the time, but that’s only after carrying around” she lifted her stuffed fox up “these all the time, and playing make belief enough for it to focus in my dreams. I… I can’t handle nightmares when I have them. And that’s something I need to learn to handle. Not get rid of them, I don’t think that’s possible, but I need to be able to confront them instead of panic. Maybe even control other dreams a bit better after a while as well”.

She paused, realizing she was rambling a bit. “Hah, sorry. I just came to ask for more details and maybe times for training, didn’t mean to go off on that ramble.” She let a smile cross her face. “I’m glad to be working with you both, though. You guys seem nice.”

Rose Mary hated her first class of the day. Philosophy with Hank McCoy. Philosophy has no practical application in life. She skipped it she wanted to add combat training in place of philosophy. She got to thinking about the rest of her classes, Geology could go as well. Rocks are nothing. Maybe replace that with something more useful like, she remembered she had no clue what other classes were taught. Just the ones she took and combat training. She also remember she didn't know who to talk to about it. So she just ended up wandering the halls. She decided to head back towards the classrooms and realized she was completely lost. She grunted in disgust.

Tatiana was in her espionage class. She found it extremely interesting. She hung on the teacher's every word. With the exception of combat training which she took for fun, and the aforementioned espionage she took the other classes just to fill the time.

Chrys sighs. "It's something my dad had placed in me..." He closes his eyes. "When I first started developing my powers, they proved to be insanely strong... I shifted an entire house once... When I get stressed, my power acts defensively and things can get out of hand. So, my dad had some of his scientist friends find a way to limit my power... And they did. If my body is actively regenerating, the cost of shifting something skyrockets... So they placed small amounts of something into my bone marrow. I don't know what it was... I was too young to remember... And Father never told me before he... passed away." Corinth looks up. "It was a risky operation, took days... But they succeeded in limiting my power... Haven't really developed it beyond shifting... But I do know it prevents rending objects... Which is why they thought of something so extreme..."

Heidi stood unmoving for a while, then folded her arms. "Honestly," she started, "We weren't ready to deal with anything like that. You tried to get everyone rallied together even though they weren't the best listeners, and if you were able to handle all that power, I calculated that your plan would have worked. I put trust in you that it would work, but...I was afraid of taking any kind of responsibility. If people got hurt because they followed one of my plans thinking they must be flawless because I'm a genius...most plans I make on the field have so many variables that they have a 25% chance of actually working at best, and that's just good enough. Shawn, I think they put yo in charge of the team when they have a human supercomputer in the same team for a very simple reason; You step up. You make an effort to unify us and you're not afraid to do so. Honestly, you're a far better leader than I ever could be. I'm not even sure how I could help besides number crunch for you or something."

It suddenly occurred to her that she'd said quite a lot of words. She was usually very bad at conversations, but this time it was easy. The words she wanted needed forming into sentences and polishing before they left her mouth but they were all already there; exactly what she wanted to say from the heart.

Shawn was not expecting something like a full pep-talk from Heidi, but it did help him in ways he couldn't truly put into words. However, the little ending tidbit about her being unsure how to help did cause the young man to frown. "I don't think that's true." He noted, trying to relax in a comfortable pose. "First off, nobody put me in charge. The lack of someone being in charge forced me to do something because we were certainly going to end up much worse if we didn't work together at least somewhat." He guess that just solidified her point of him trying to unify the team and putting his own worries behind him, but it was his turn for a pep talk. When he was done, she could go back and poke holes in his like he was to hers right now.

"Second, I'm sure you've got plans out the wazoo! I know your afraid to execute your plans, but bringing them to the table for us to discuss as a team is what makes your mutation so important. You gather all this information, you think of all the possibilities, we bounce ideas back and fourth so we do have a plan when we do go on missions. We can't have a contingency for every possible outcome, we aren't machines, not every plan can be picture perfect; but that doesn't mean that we can't adjust accordingly to get the best results. The more we go on missions, the more we'll learn about each other, and the easier this will all become." He cracked a smile at her, hoping to lighten the mood.

"Lastly, as the new figurehead of this group, I'll be taking most of the blame for stuff anyways. We can't do this without Heidi Williams, the Prodigy. The team needs at least one stable head on it's shoulders"

"A limiter..." Caldwell mumbled to himself. "If they injected something into your bloodstream, it must be something fabricated specifically for..." A thought occurred to him, and he snapped around, almost turning a full three hundred and sixty degrees to look directly at Chrys. "How likely is it that this limiter in your body is some type of... Mutation augmenting virus? Not only would it be able to adjust your shifting abilities accordingly based on a number of variables, but if it has access to pull on the strings of a mutation, that would explain why my Biotic healing doesn't seem to be effecting whatever limiter is inside of you." The thoughts bounced around in his head as to what it could be. It could even be stunting the growth of Chrys' own mutations, keeping them at a specific level of evolution to keep them from putting any more stress on his body. For better or for worse.

"Chrys, I'd like to ask to take more tests on you. Namely, a x-ray, and get various samples. Hair, skin, blood, fluids. I want to nip this problem in the bud before it begins harming you even without using your mutation."

Emma took things out of Booker's hands. Her voice pulled even Booker's attention onto her. She smiled properly after noting his look, but did not say a word about it. "For your training, that is where I come in. I am a telepath, and can access your mind in your dreams. I will be the bridge between Blake and you. He's an expert on several studies of the mind, and I am the only one of the two of us with the skeleton key to the psyche."

"If you already have a decent control of your power, I'm guessing it's safe to say that you can dream lucidly." Booker spoke once more. He shuffled his chair sideways so he wouldn't have to turn all the way around to look at Bonny. He motioned for her to sit down with them just to go over everything quickly. "This kind of Reality warping is certainly interesting, and it'll take a team effort from the three of us, and the team you'll be joining and supporting. I'll do everything I can to help you dream peacefully, and if worse comes to worse, we have at least three telepaths in the building who can calm you down from the inside."

To Xavier, Sage was many things. She was the resident spymaster, the complete eyes and ears of the entire facility and the greater New York area, and the teacher of the Espionage class. Tatiana, who was in Booker's little group, was one of her more notable students. She seemed very much interested in what Sage had to say. It was a nice feeling.

"Today, we'll be focusing on something a little more boring, but as important as everything else in the class." She announced. Clapping her hands, Kurt appeared beside her, smiling pleasantly at the class.

"We'll be working on language." A good portion of the class groaned, even some of the students who had taken that lesson before.

"A good portion of espionage and infiltration is acting, hence why I invited Mr. Wagner to take a little time to come over and help us all act." Kurt took a bow at Sage's words, to which she let a smile crack at the edge of her lips. "Being a spy, spying around, infiltrating, whatever you want to call it, comprises mainly of a few things. Research, acting, decisions, and waiting. Criminal working on a high stakes hit? Know the area, know the people. Learn how to blend in with them to the best of your abilities. Make a new person out of what you have to keep your identity from being discovered. Know who to talk to, where to go. Is someone blocking the way to your precious jewel? Either find a way to get them out of your way, or wait them out." Her voice shifted to something similar to Emma Frost's own accent. Had it not been so spot on, one would have thought that she was mocking the telepath.

"But. Never do nothing. Keep your eyes on the guards, look for openings and passageways. Improvisation is important, but remember all of your lies." Her voice moved back to her own, shifting around before finding a voice that was most comfortable. "Not everyone can be Miss Darkholme. If you want someone to believe you, sell your story. If you can't believe your own performance, how is someone else going to believe it? Kiss a man. Kiss a woman. Kiss a baby. Sell the story of your character so they believe you and understand the type of character you are trying to convey."

Chrys swallows. "A-a- virus??" He pales a little. "I don't know what this thing is... I know it was some kind of fluid... And it was injected into my bone marrow. That's all I remember the docs talking about..." He closes his eyes and thinks. "Dad was upset that they did something so risky... But if we get it out... What happens if I lose control? It was done within two months of the first incident... I don't even know the full extent of what I can do... What if taking it out leads to me losing control or worse..." Chrys gets paler and paler. Around him the outlines of objects twitch slightly.

Tatiana liked acting, it was a necessity after all if you were going to mimic someone else. The only reason she didn't take Nightcrawler's class was because of him. He reminded her of a demon, specifically one that used to torment her dreams on and off for over a decade. The way he acted was almost spot on too, except the dream one was less jovial. The jovial attitude made it all the creepier.

Rose Mary eventually found something she recognized not becuase she been there before but because a garage is a garage no matter where you go. She decided to check out the vehicles. She was drawn to the motorcycle. She ran her fingers along the three scratch marks. They looked deliberate. "Why would someone do that to you?"

A telepath? She nodded at Emmas words, noting the role she’d play in her training. It made sense that a telepath would be involved, seeing the nature of her abilities, but it did make her feel a bit uncomfortable. Someone would be probing in her brain, looking over her thoughts and memories. The thought made her feel a bit more open than she’d like, and she only realized after she had that thought that Emma could probably hear it. Aha, great. At least her concerns were heard, in a manner of speaking. And according to Remy, someone had already probed her brain. She was a bit of an open book now.

She took a seat as Bookers gesture, hugging her fox to her chest. “Yeah, I can lucid dream almost all the time without difficulty” she said. “I can tell when I’m asleep as well, and … sort of control what’s going on. More like suggest a general direction to go and hope it works”. What was with her and her long winded answers? She usually wasn’t this talkative, especially about her powers. Maybe it was because she wasn’t scared of reactions to them. Or maybe it was because of being reassured that everything would be fine, and that it was safe to share with these adults. She cleared the thought from her head and instead responded to Bookers mention of a team.

“... Team? I’m joining a team?” she asked. What team? When was this decided? Who was on this team? Was this a sports team, or some sort of other team? What was she supposed to do on this team? Did she have a say? Would they know about her abilities before she learned to control them fully? She rapid fire ran through all those questions in her head in concern of this unmentioned team, realized she hadn’t asked any of them out loud, and gave Emma a bit of a sheepish look in hopes for a response to all the nonsense that zipped through her head.

Calwell realized that he had said the wrong thing. Maybe it was a little too much for Chrys to handle. With a gentle hand set on the boy's shoulders, he attempted to calm him down. "Please don't think of a virus like the sense in something like Resident Evil. Something more like... a strain of the flu. A fluid would be the best way to inject something like that. It wasn't ingested, well I assume it wasn't. And, and!" He was dipping back into grave territory. Man, he needed to stop doing that. "Learning how to handle your powers is the main focus of this facility, Chrys. We're equipped to help you all grow and learn to the best of your abilities, and will always be here to patch you up after a hairy situation."

"Take Shawn, for example. Every staff member know's he's an X-Men hopeful. He spends most of his non-school hours training his abilities to push his limits and give himself more control over his element. I've seen him in the wards many times, but he never wants to let up. It's true, after the limiter is removed, there will be slight... fluctuations with yours, but that's like a crack in the wall leaking water suddenly turning into a hole. Your body will adapt, grow, and change accordingly to manage your power the best it can. The other half is being mentally prepared to feel that surge and handle it."

The bike was still warm from use. Whoever owned it had just come in, and was looking over at a set of tool in the far end of the garage. His back was turned to Rosemary. On each arm of his brown, well worn leather jacket were three stripes in a dirty yellow color.

Despite how far away Rosemary was, and how quiet her voice may have been, the man heard, and turned his head to take a glance at her. "So people know who that bike belongs to." The man's voice was rough and gravely. He gave her the answer and turned fully towards her. In his hands were a few tools and pieces.

This was Logan, the Wolverine. He wasn't a teacher, and he wasn't exactly and X-Men, but almost everyone knew who he was. He popped in from time to time, staying for months or even a full year before disappearing without a word. It was kind of an honor to see him off, though nobody had the fortune of doing that yet.

Setting the tools down, he took another good look at her. It wasn't a face he remembered, but remembering things was hard these days. Most people in the school knew him, staff or otherwise, so he just assumed that she knew who he was as well. He got to work on his bike, taking a piece off. She was still standing there, or at least he thought she was, so he decided to make the most of her being around. "Who are you? I don't really sign autographs, sorry bub."

"We should rephrase." Emma nodded in hopes of being excused for the mistake. "your unique ability allows you to change object in the real world, correct? If used right, you can change the field of play to assist in the X-Men getting their villain. We would like to ask you to join a team, where you can use your powers to assist your teammate in inventive and interesting ways. I will be with you, guiding you in your mind, and Booker will tell us what they need. What do you say?"
