@TheWindel Ok. So, does the barrier extend underground? Can I try to escape that way? Or should I stay there. You're saying it's ok if I escape, but also that I should sit there and wait for the plot to happen, which one of those takes precedence?

Ideally we would like people to gather in one place so if you do escape, I assume Monkey would know to go to the rendezvous point and meet the other groups. As for the barrier itself, you need to ask KoL since they made the barrier. So long as you actually get to the rendezvous point and not go on a side mission that holds the GMs and other players up, I have no problem with Monkey trying to escape.

Or in other words, precedence for the plot.

@TheWindel So, my original plan was turn into light for a tiny tiny fraction of a second to get through the barrier, then turn her staff into nerve gas to paralyze Farris and the others, then proceed to run into Si and co as they escape Zealot is fine via a plot standard?

Just depends on whether KoL wants light to be able to bypass the invisible barrier?

That's something you might want to discuss with KoL then and negotiate something. Because they really don't like the idea of Monkey just turning into light.

@TheWindel Well, I already sent KoL a message that said something along the lines of "I was gonna transform into light" and they haven't responded back. Not sure how more to discuss it on my end.

You're going to be waiting a while for a response then because KoL's busy at the moment. You'll probably get a reply tomorrow.

@TheWindel Okedokee. Well, different question, would you like to post again for Zealot before me and Flamelord post again?

Considering Zealot is a good distance behind Monkey and Alex, you can post before me.

As@TheWindel said, I dislike the is of her turning to light because (take RL science away for a moment), she's turning her whole body into magical energy, which is a very long step away from her usual powers. If she had a light based tome that would be completely fine, even as a last ditch trick but Meihou's powers are too broad and too powerful ad they are. As a note, I greatly dislike the nerve gas trick for the same reasons I stated above. Meihou's powers go completely against the logic of tomes already, by being that broad, vague and undefined, but they always had a theme unifying things so out was ok until now. Don't stretch it more than what is plausible.

As for the underground, no, the barrier is only above the surface. Just know that, you'll fall straight on the other scene. Whatever you do, the point is getting everyone together.

Finally, Meihou doesn't knows how Farris' tome works, you should stop having her react to stuff using meta knowledge. We will react to whatever you do, in an appropriate way.

Don't worry @The 42nd Gecko, I have a solution (since apparently our separate heist mission has been axed by the GM's without telling us beforehand). Specifically, throw the Blue Relic at the problem until the problem goes away.

I know, it's a wonderful plan. Thank you

Your passive aggression fuels me.

Besides, can you tell me your heist mission won't stall the other Players?

I just would have preferred some forewarning, that's all. A quick note saying 'hey, we think the heist isn't going to work after all, would you amenable to doing this instead.' As opposed to just dropping the sudden containment forcefield and expecting me to roll with it when i thought we had reached a previous understanding about what was going to happen next

I mean, no one outright said there was no heist mission. All we said was that we want people in a single place. If you can do that and your heist mission, then go ahead.

@KoL So, you're saying that Monkey's powers are ALREADY too powerful, even barring light or nerve gas. I can understand barring those, as I was trying to establish a higher power level for her capable of at least interacting with general level threats instead of just raising up her hands and saying "I Surrender" every time someone points a tome at her. But I feel a bit surprised at the opinion that Monkey was already too powerful without that.

I thought her only meaningful contribution to any scene has been giving Titania a lift to and from locations, and kicking one old guy in the balls while he monologued. I'll admit, I still enjoy that latter one, but I don't feel I've exactly been dominating the roleplay. Have I been overshadowing people without knowing it?

@Flamelord Honestly, I think the relic may be the problem, and if you LITERALLY throw the relic at them, we can go do our heist.

Unfortunately the Relic is sentient, so it would probably fly back to him afterwards anyways

I mean, the power to transform into pretty much anything is a bit powerful, though it's really just that one ability I believe. So far you've managed not to go overboard with it and keep it balanced but flat out turning into light seems a bit on the cheap side. You haven't been dominating the RP because again, you've been keeping her powers very balanced.

@Flamelord Ok, would you like to post before or after Monkey?

If I get to post first, I would like to transform my staff into an invisible crystal barrier right inside Farris', so that when she moves forward to put cuffs on us, she bounces off it like Monkey did off of hers.

Well, I mean, you know what my plan is at this point. Considering the situation it's probably more viable, otherwise we'll just be stuck staring each other down until Stark pulls a Kool-Aid Man through the wall to gank us without effective resistance.
