@floodtalon

Just as finished smirking away his assumed victory, the pancham leader soon found himself unable to leave. Feeling a cold shiver go up his spine, he slowly turned back around, only to find the trainer he kicked cracking his knuckles as he exuded a menacing Aura. The sight caused the pancham leader's jaw to drop, which in-turn caused the leaf in his mouth to drop. Noticing that the other panchams stopped and was looking his way, He quickly began collecting himself and putting the leaf back in his mouth, acting like normal.

From the look of the other panchams, it was starting to look like they were considering whether to aid him or just use him as bait while they flee. Just as they began slinking off, pretending that they saw nothing, the leader pancham glared at them, causing them to stop and shudder. Quickly changing their tune, they set down the food they were halfway shoving into their mouths as they ran and began picking up more stones.

Just as the stones were in the process of leaving their hands, they were hit by Rock Blast and Water Gun simultaneously, causing the stones to peg the Pancham Leader in the back of the head. Veins popping, the Pancham Leader exploded in rage. Not turning around, he used 'Work Up' and made his way towards the Gastly to attack while the other Panchams scrambled to their feet to attack in hope to lessen the punishment they'll likely receive from the leader later...

@alexfangtalon

While the Rock Blast didn't hurt Pancham in the slightest, it did cause the stone in hand to go of course and hit leader. And hitting leader meant this Pancham is going to get it later, thus the pest who made such a thing happen, must pay! Charging, the Pancham unleashed a flurry of Arm Thrusts on the Roggenrola.

@Broyeabro

This Pancham clearly didn't appreciate getting hit with a Water Gun. Though, truth be told, he was more disappointed with the fact he was interrupted while eating than the whole thing with the leader. Well, the leader getting mad isn't pretty but he was quite hungry. Thus, it was his duty to punish this maggot for the sake of the fo--leader. Moving forward, he struck the totodile with a Karate Chop.

@Lord Szall

Once Cubone was released from it's pokeball, the pancham pointed at it's skull and began laughing. Something to the tune of 'Did your mommy give you that?' After it was done laughing, the pancham decided to ignore the Cubone and began pelting it's trainer with stones.

@Sho Minazuki

The remaining Pancham in the gang had it's eyes on York who was just standing around lost in his own world seemingly. The fact that the human was just ignoring them (not to mention the fact they couldn't hit him before earlier) annoyed the pancham. Seeing York's lack of interest as a wide open target, the pancham snuck in closer and resumed throwing stones at him.

Talonite laughed as the leader Pancham was given a taste of his own medicine, being pelted by rocks. He suddenly got super angry and Worked Up, moving towards Gastly to try and thrash him. Talonite shook his head and smiled. This little guy has obviously never seen a ghost type. "Necro, use Curse." This was a new move they had been working on, a see through nail appeared over Gastly and hammered into him, hurting him quite a bit as it plowed into him. Then an identical nail appeared over the Pancham and began hammering into him, hurting it a little. This nail didn't go away though, it kept hammering into the Pancham to continue hurting him.

As the Pancham came down with a Karate Chop on Totodile she tried to dodge but just couldn't do it, Taking the hit with rage starting to flare in Totodile, eager to prove herself after her utter defeat, she doesn't look away from Pancham or show any sign of backing down. "Dm now use Ice Fang and aim for its shoulder and don't let go." Totodile responding quickly to the call lunging straight for Pancham chomping down hard on its left shoulder.

"Hmmmmm...", the markings on the bark here, plus residues of sap. Yes, this definitely was done by some bug Pokemon living in this forest. Unfortunately it wasn't fresh, so whatever Pokemon had eaten here should be long gone. As he was doing this, Ren jumped out of his Pokeball in a white ray of light, desiring freedom from his prison, so to speak. The Froakie was immediately met with some stones, the shock sending the Froakie staggering back into its trainer.

After another hail of stones, the Froakie was displeased, and began to return fire with Water Pulse after Water Pulse. Meanwhile, York was opening his Pokedex, but after some time he realized that Ren was no longer in his Pokeball, due to the noise behind him,

"Ren could you keep it do-", as he turned, he saw a stone fly at his face, which he quickly stepped aside, letting it smash into the tree behind him. It was a group of Panchams and his Froakie playing a semi-deadly game of dodgeball.

"Hahaha, you sure are good at making friends, hey I know... Al can join in!", he did not seem to pick up on the mischievous nature of the Panchams as he called up his Dewpider, which was immediately pelted with rocks. In response the Dewpider angrily used Spider Web, pretty soon the Pancham's side of the field was covered in sticky webbing, if they made any bad movements, they'd easily trip, unable to escape as the rest of their body would get caught upon falling. Neither Al nor Ren were very happy with the Panchams, and so now trapped, they would need to fight their way out of the Froakie and Dewpider's indignant response.

Once the sounds of the escaping grunts finally faded out, Nov first walked over to his his fainted Growlithe and gently treated it with the sole revive he was carrying in his bag. After a brief moment of recovery and petting, the fire dog regained conscious, but Nov decided to let both of his Pokemon rest for the time being so he returned them to their pokeballs. With his buddies taken care of, Nov turned back to the group of wild Pokemon. The three of them watched him carefully, clearly suspicious of another trainer. A few of them were huddling behind the Yamask, who looked as if he was protecting the others. Nov glared at it for a short while, noting the stash of fire stones behind them, but only gave a huff of air before walking over to the control panel for the machine. He was still pissed about the thievery, but after seeing it protecting its friends when the ruins were being attacked, Nov couldn't justify being too mad at it anymore.

The machine was much more important than some firestones anyway, so Nov scanned the control board for anything that could stop it. Unfortunately, he was no tech wizard, and the lit-up panel was just full of cryptic graphs and unlabeled buttons. He tried tapping random things on it for a minute, but all that really accomplished was some concerning sounds coming out of the machine's engines. He also tried just hitting it a bit after thinking didn't work, but all that did was hurt his hand. It was then a Natu came up beside him and the Yamask pushed Nov back a bit. He was about to tell them off, when they suddenly conjured some kind of darkness and tore the machine apart with physic power. The panel was eviscerated into shards, and with the controls busted, the entire machine started to shut down as a safety measure. "Woah, cool stuff... I guess that's one way to do it." Nov muttered. Sparks jumped out from the disconnected wires left in the control's place, hissing harshly. With that done, the whole conflict in the ruins seemed to be at an end for the moment. Hopefully the scientists and police would be able to completely disable the machine and contain any damage that had already been done by it...

The Pokemon all looked at Nov again now that they felt they were finally safe again, but there was little time to do anything before an officer appeared in the doorway behind them, completely out of breath as she walked in. She seemed confused about the whole situation, at first accusing Nov of being one of them before realizing the machine had been shut down and the wild Pokemon were standing by him. He smirked to himself, shaking his head. "Don't worry, I'm not one of those guys. My Pokemon and these guys," Nov gestured to the group of three standing cautiously to his side, "We managed to scare those thugs out of here, then we shut down that drill thing by busting the controls."

"You're with the police?" Nov said as the officer informed them that they were going to need to make a statement about what had happened. It was only natural, of course, seeing as this was probably a major crime they had stopped. "I'm happy to get out of here at this point, but some of my friends helped take this thing down, so we gotta find 'em first before we leave."

That said, they started off in the direction they came from, and for some reason so did the wild Pokemon, bringing the firestones they had taken from Nov's group with them. Once they were back in the first cross-road, Nov first checked out the path Roxy had gone down, which of course lead to the second floor of the machine room. Nov looked around curiously, finally realizing the lay-out of the place (but not the differences between them, though). "Huh. The machine goes up three floors? But where's Roxy...?" Nov rubbed his chin, a bit concerned, but he dismissed the thought. She had probably just went back and rendezvous'd with Aiden already, so he lead the group back to the cross-road and took the left path. That took them, after a few convoluted turns, to where another officer and Aiden were. Just Aiden. Nov's heart sank immediately at the realization. Was there another path he hadn't seen, or did something happen? Aiden seemed fine at least, so Nov left his group of five and ran over to him.

"Aiden, have you seen Roxy anywhere? I checked the path she went down, but there was nobody there... Think she already went back to the entrance?" Nov said, running a hand through his messy, sand-blown blue hair. He hadn't dyed again before leaving, so the roots were starting to show the true brown color beneath. "Man, this isn't the kind of thing we were expecting to do today, huh? This is some serious shit, dude, I'm worried about Roxy. These aren't just local teens or anything, so who knows what they'll willing to do..."

After talking with Aiden a bit, though, Nov turned back to the police. "Both of you sure you didn't see a girl our age when you were coming in?"

Damascus-Gym

@Floodtalon

"F-finally..." Leo heaved like a mad man as he finally approached the town of Damascus. He had lost track of how long he had been running ever since he caught that Torchic. He had decided to name him King, an appropriately snooty sounding name for such an uptight and rebellious pokemon. King had zero issue communicating with the other pokemon, none at all. Honestly, he seemed happiest when he was playing with them. But when it came to his trainer...well, let's just say that he had gotten the stink eye more than a handful of times. Way more.

But that didn't matter right now. They had finally made it to a town with a gym in it. All around the somewhat old fashioned looking town, Leo saw people and pokemon working together. The clank of hammers pounding steel came was a bit grating on the ears, admittedly. It wasn't all too surprising to see a ton of Machokes and Gurdurrs moving around left and right with large metal bars clutched in their arms.

He wondered if there was a Machoke around here who could give him a hand with his exercise routines...nah, that was a stupid idea. The gym was priority number one. After asking the locals for directions, Leo was able to locate the gym with little difficulty. For a few minutes, Leo stood there silently. His nerves prevented him from walking in. His palms were moist with sweat and he hardly felt like he could breath. He had to force himself to open the door and finally begin his first major challenge as a trainer.

"We came all this way, after all. No way we'd turn tail and miss out on all the fun." Lucy, still in adventure mode, replied with a beaming smile. After taking a few moments to think it over, the mysterious man relented and decided to let them in on the know. And it involved the notorious Team Arclight.

"Team Arclight, huh? Not sure if it's just those two or the group as whole but so far they seem quite incompetent. With the way they're talked about all over, one would expect them to act more professional." She mused. But if Team Arclight is involved, this was bound to be big and big meant a lot of fun.

"Looks like that's out of the way, now off we go!" she agreed with Dan as she started walking. As they were walking, Dan, turned towards her and challenged her to the race as he started to pick up the pace. Obviously she'd agree to it but to make things more interesting, "I'm game, I'll even give you a head start....Ready guys?" She turned towards Glacia and Zap as they voiced their agreement.

After giving dan a bit of a lead, Lucy and co. took off at full speed.

Damascus Gym

@Alder

As Leo entered the Damascus Gym the most prominent noise he would hear would be the sound of steel pounding against steel as Kurogane worked on his latest piece. There was a distinct lack of trainers around, most likely the Dojo was closed for today. Leo walked in yet Kurogane did not respond, he was hammering on his sword with a focus that was as sharp as his finest blades. Luckily for Leo, Musashi was very aware of the new arrival. He walked over to Leo and bowed his head lightly.

"Ah, welcome young trainer! I am Musashi and that is my brother Kurogane, hard at work on his latest blade. Have you come here to sign up for Dojo Training? Or perhaps you believe yourself ready to challenge me and my brother?" A particularly large clang punctuated the end of that statement as Kurogane continued to hammer away. "Well, as soon as my brother is done. Forging a blade is work that requires much concentration."

Suddenly Kurogane looked up at Musashi and sighed. "I am almost finished for today Musashi, I just need to wrap the blade for the day." As Kurogane got back to his work Musashi refocused on Leo. "Well young trainer?"

For a few moments, Leo looked at the two gym leaders without saying a word. As hard as he tried, nothing seemed to be getting his words out. He looked down at the floor and gulped to ease the pain in his throat before finally being able to speak. His nerves had settled down for a bit, but he didn't exactly feel confident speaking to the duo.

"Um, the first one. Don't have much use for dojo training right now, no sir..." His body and speech were stiff. His mouth could only just barely mumble out the words he wanted to say before shortly dying out by the end of his second sentence. He mentally chastised himself for speaking so spinelessly. A trainer ought to have been a pillar supporting and reassuring his pokemon, he was too much of a wreck to even do that much. He never understood why he was perfectly fine tossing insults left and right anywhere else, yet turned into such a submissive idiot when it really mattered.
