Cecily Ashworth

Location: the Morgue

Cecily furrowed her eyebrows. The FBI agent on the Lawson case, who had taken a special interest in it, was also a good friend with another stiff coming to the morgue--the stiff that belonged to her roommate's twin sister. There was some sort of intricate web there, and for a moment, Cecily wondered whether Riley was being entirely honest with her. She was a famous rockstar, after all. Perhaps Riley was a member of this organization, or at least, maybe they had approached her for membership. But her thought vanished after a moment. It was too ridiculous.

"I can call Riley, see if she can get a hold of Tinder," Cecily offered. "Set up a meeting with him, see if he knows anything about why his friends keep turning up dead."

As for Caesar's offer to take her to Mexico with him, Cecily nodded. Getting out of Justice didn't seem to be too bad an idea, and they could always bring in some other doctor to man the morgue while they were gone for a few days. Natasha and Cecily weren't the only ones in the world who could manage the forensics and autopsies needed. "Yeah, I'll come with. I don't speak any Spanish, so should be fun."

She wasn't sure as to whether or not Caesar was asking her, but she made her statement as just an addition to her acceptance. Just in case he was addressing Natasha or Roy. The thought of having Natasha come with them brought a comfort to Cecily. Having a doctor with them, with the adventures they were getting up to, sounded like a good idea. Though...she wasn't certain as to whether or not it'd be healthy for Natasha.

Iris Kingston

Location: Justice Asylum For The Criminally Insane: the Ludwig Building (Outside)

As she reached into her phone to call for an Uber, Iris noticed the woman who had come to see her in the office earlier. For all of the rush to get out of the asylum, they hadn't gotten very far. It bemused her and brought a slight smile to her face, though she didn't feel it was wise to go over and say hello. She glanced at the man she was talking with, wondering for a moment where Mr. Relic had gone off to. From this vantage point, Iris couldn't see him at all.

And although Iris was dearly tempted to interact with them, she knew one thing very well: meddling was to only be left to the experts. But pulling out her phone, she figured it wouldn't hurt to take some time to research those people. Her memory was photographic, and she figured she could identify Relic's friend and the woman in better detail later. If that didn't work, there was always the card she had been given, with the messy handwriting that was nearly illegible. Justice tended to provide surprises tenfold, she'd found.

Switching over to the uber application, Iris put in a request for an uber to the Diamond District. She had time for a little bit of relaxation, as she wouldn't be due to call her brother until rather late that evening--just before she went to bed, and right when he woke up. Timezones could be a bother like that. Tapping the side of her phone, Iris peeked back over at the strange group. The strange man had left them, leaving just the woman. Iris reasoned that Relic was probably in front of her.

Justice Asylum: - Marc looked over towards Riley. "That was Alexander Martin, aka Relic. Hacker. Hacked into the Pentagon Data base about four years ago trying to find information on a Lt. Commander. Turned out he was looking for one of his sisters. I was in charge of hunting him down and capturing him. Did two years ago, out in Russia. Surprised he is out but must have cut a deal," Marc said as he kept an eye over towards Relic and Mali.

"The woman I have no idea," he added before picking up his coffee and downing the rest of it. There was so much sugar in it, some hadn't dissolved and you could hear him chewing it. God the man liked sugar...

Relic looked over at Mali and shook his head. "My other sister. Remember Zoie from earlier? Her twin. Quick thing. Don't mention Thana around Zoie..." he said as he was finally able to hail a cab. As it pulled up he looked around again and then quickly climbed in, waiting for Mali to join him. Leaning up he gave the driver the address and then got as comfortable as he could with his pack in his lap.

Cynthia looked over at Felix and took a step back for a moment, that was until he mentioned Marc and Riley. "Marc and Riley! Are they together? Wouldn't have pictured that! Thought she liked Taco's and he liked Ash? Oh well, funny world isn't it. Yes it is. Right it is. I know I'm right, you're right, I'm right, we're right," she said as she argued with herself.

"Oh can't travel? Who can't travel? Someone you know? I know someone who can't, Ada. She's preggy, got a big belly now. She could probably travel but doubt Kai will let her. He's protective. She's having twins. She is? Yes she is! How do you know? Same way you do, she told us. Oh right!"

Justice Morgue: - Natasha sat back in her seat and nodded a bit. If Cecily was going with him she needed to go as well, she was her doctor now it seemed and she wanted to make sure the girl stayed alive. God, Lincoln was going to throttle her when he found out. Looking down at her ring she sighed, she knew he would be mad but she also knew he was the type to do the same thing. There was no questioning that.

Looking back up Roy rubbed his face and nodded. "Yeah, give her a call if you would. The more we know the better," Roy said before closing the lap top. This was getting complicated. Granted things in this town were always complicated but now even more so. He just hoped he wasn't made a target. At least not yet. He knew he would be eventually, they all would be.

"I grew up South Side Chicago and did my residency here in California, so Spanish is pretty much second nature to me. Can also speak Russian but I doubt that and my Hindi will come in use but hey, there you go," she said quietly with a bit of a shrug. Taking a deep breath she printed up several papers and signed them. Stepping over towards Caesar she handed them to the man. "There you go, they are yours to take. Normally we would have to call for transport by city officials and a transfer to the next city but I have this strange feeling you might not need that service," she said as Roy stood up.

"Well if you three are leaving town, probably best I come as well. good to get out of town and well, one sick and one injured woman.. No offense to either of you but might be good to have an extra gun for back up," he said before looking over towards Caesar. Natasha nodded, granted she didn't know him - she would rather Lincoln come with her but right then a cop and a "whatever the hell Caesar was" was probably better than nothing.

"About time a taxi showed up. I was starting to think they didn't like us. Alright, just how many sisters do you have?" Mali asked as she stepped into the taxi cab. She took a deep breath inwards as the taxi air swept over her. It wasn't perfect, it smelled musty and slightly rank, but it was at least ten degrees cooler than the air outside. Inside the car, she kept her hands in her lap and tried to take up as little space as possible.

Once the car began to move, she felt her back muscles loosen and relax. The stress of knowing you're around the target of assassination did a number on one faster than one might think. But that would hopefully be behind them soon and she could worry about the meal and conversation to come. Although it had only been a couple hours previous, the wait at the bar felt like it had occurred long ago. Hopefully the rest of the day would not be so long.

Riley looked at Marc as he explained who that was that he went out to talk to, so it was a hacker that Marc had arrested four years ago she started to think over to the caller and then maybe Relic could possibly trace back that number. That's if he was even willing to do that, but from what she could see, the guy seemed to be one of those really paranoid tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist kind of nerd. Riley took another drink of her coffee setting it down as Riley listened into the earpiece hearing Felix and then the all to familiar crazy ramblings that Cynthia was really known for.

"Is there a way we could maybe get Relic to trace back that caller?" Riley asked looking over at Marc, the guy probably wouldn't be willing to work with Marc since he did arrest him four years ago. "I mean, he hacked the fucking government that could maybe be useful to help us out with that?"

Riley leaned back listening to Marc crunching down on the sugar that was in his coffee, she didn't remember him drinking coffee with a shit ton of sugar. She looked back at her phone for a moment as she wondered if she should actually finally make that call to her parents Riley looked at Marc once more. "I am wondering if I should call my parents and tell them about Chloe.." Riley said out loud she hadn't talked to them in years.

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Morgue

There was some genuine surprise that took hold of Caesar, not that he'd let it show. The entire room of people decided to up and volunteer to join him in Mexico. It made him wonder a few things. While he was wondering, he hopped onto his secure satellite phone and started taking care of some necessary arrangements.

Cecily joining him was easily explained. He had suggested that she come along, get out of town for a couple of days. It couldn't hurt matters any - might even let some things cool down. It was amazing what a little time could accomplish, even if it was spent doing nothing related to the problem at hand. The Doctor, Natasha? That was surprising. Caesar knew nothing about this woman directly, and she insisted upon being there to assist with a wound that had already been treated. Mexico was a contemporary country. They had capable physicians. Her presence was not strictly required... but she claimed to speak fluent Spanish and was a medical professional. That couldn't be overlooked. Still, Caesar was suspicious. But Roy... Detective Gregory was an admitted part of whatever was going on. The possibility of him feeding everyone bullshit information and tagging along as an inside informant or definitely occurred to him. Caesar wasn't sure what to think about him.

If everything came together well, sometime tomorrow they would be in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. If anyone had anything sinister planned, they would have to execute it on unfamiliar ground surrounded by people who knew exactly who Caesar was, dozens of whom would share blood or marriage relations to him. Dozens more would support or give aid to he and his. And you'd better believe he had a branch office of MSS in his original home city. All he needed to do was get there, and he would have a ton of the one thing he was lacking here in Justice: Community Support.

He finished punching a few commands into his device, and looked up. "You need your passports. If you don't have one, we cross illegally or you stay here. We leave in the morning. Early."

He thought for a second. The culture and its laws were a little different there than here. Legalities were not based on English Common Law, rather an odd blend of Roman Civil Law and French code. As such, the rules were very different. "Detective. That 'second gun' thing isn't going to fly there. Not unless you get special permission from the Federales. I can transport them, but once we're there it's a whole different world."

"One more thing." Caesar's voice broadened, so that everyone could clearly hear him, "I'm going back home to bury my daughter. Period. Then this city gets a wake up call. Anyone who rides with me after this needs to understand that truth. Cecily, you have a way out if you want it. Maybe when you're done here you should join me. Anyone who isn't at the airport or with me come tomorrow, I'll understand."

Cecily Ashworth

Location: the Morgue

Cecily listened to Caesar before putting in the call to Riley. Her passport was back at the Boston Heights, locked away securely in a safe. She didn't tend to keep it on her, finding that a Starbucks card had a lot more practical use--and the odds of it being stolen were far slimmer. But at the same time, she was skeptical that returning to the Boston Heights would be safe. If they had identified Caesar and her as the trespassers, wouldn't the Boston Heights be the first place they'd look for them? And then, even if they did cross with passports successfully, wouldn't a national organization like Juno get tipped off at the border?

Yet at the same time, Cecily knew comparatively very little about the proper protocols and precautions. She had never been in a situation like this before--the sort of situation that she guessed Roy and Caesar were experts at handling. If they told her to do something, she'd do it. It had kept her alive thus far. She stepped off slightly away from the rest of the group, pulling out her phone, as she quickly dialed Riley's number.

"Riley? It's Cecily. Can you get me in touch with Agent Tinder? It's urgent."

So, this was the nature of the so-called killer he'd been promised an interview with. Just from observing her here, he could tell she was incarcerated due to her mental illness, a mental illness that possibly made her a suspect in a killing spree. Although it occurred to him that Marc and Riley spoke of her like she wasn't bad, spoke of her like she was a victim not the perpetrator. He scratched his head as he flipped his notepad open to another page.

His pen glided across the page as he wrote down notes of every name she mentioned. A woman that was pregnant? Probably not relevant but he'd note her name and condition as he was given the information. "Can't say I know Taco's or Ash, Marc and Riley do seem pretty snug together though" he flashed a grin and tilted his head.

"Person i know who can't travel is a wanted criminal, probably did some murder, would you know anyone like that?"

Justice Asylum: - Relic looked out the window as the cab took them away from the Asylum and shrugged a bit. "Just the two, twins. They are ten years older than me. I really don't know Thana that well, I mean we were close when I was little but then she left. I haven't really spoken to her since," he said before resting his head on the back of the seat. "What about you? How many siblings?" he asked, noting to himself he was letting her tag along with him and she was basically turning into his body guard in a way but he didn't know much about the very large built woman sitting next to him that could probably snap him like a twig. Granted that might not take much, he was pretty much a twig.

"He might but not sure how much I can trust him. I really don't trust his sister Zoie. Thana, his other sister I trust with my life but she isn't here," he said while he got a refill on the coffee. More sugar, more better. "It would probably be for the best Riley, they need to know. You know it will hit the airways soon and because of your rockstar status... well better they hear it from you than the news..."

Cynthia looked at Felix and chuckled. It was an odd chuckle, like a villain in a book and just as creepy as a toddle singing a lullaby during a horror flick. She didn't answer, just chuckling to herself. Walking over to a table she grabbed a box of crayons and a piece of paper. Sitting down she started doodling on the picture and mumbling to herself. What she was saying couldn't exactly be heard, speaking in the softest of whispers and nothing of what came out made sense. Just kept repeating it was nearing Valentine's day.

Justice Morgue: - "Well shit, no passport here and probably best I don't go considering. You should be fine, just take care of her," Roy said motioning over towards Cecily.

Natasha on the other hand wasn't just staying behind. "No es un problema. Tengo mi pasaporte," she said as she pulled out said passport from her purse. She was used to traveling between the countries since her jaunt out in Jaipur and made it habit to keep it on her.

"Listen, I am going to check on somethings while you all are gone, if anything comes up, please let me know," Roy added as he stood up and handed over his business card to Caesar before excusing himself. He had a couple to go check on, hoping they weren't getting into too much trouble. Maybe he should go to Mexico he thought, he needed a damn vacation.

Natasha pulled out her phone and made a call, she needed to let Lincoln know what was going and that she would be leaving the country come morning. God this was not going to be an easy conversation to have...

"I've got one sister," Mali replied, eyes switching between Relic and the window to her right."Her name's Kanda. Don't really know her well. She was born when I was 13, and at that age she was just a noisemaker that wouldn't let me get any sleep. By the time I moved out of the house she was only 5 or so. I only visit my folks a couple of times of the year, so I only see her for maybe a week or two total per year. Feels more like a cousin than a sister, really. I think she's starting middle school next week. Or was that last week? Whatever." Her tone of voice was a smidge awkward and the cadence was uneven. She would get hung up on a single word for a few seconds before the rest of her sentence spilled out like a slinky knocked over the side of a table.

"So where exactly are we going? Or do you want to keep it a surprise from me alone?" She asked after waiting a few seconds, her voice resuming its usual tone and rhythm.

"He could be useful though." Riley said with a slight shrug as she took another drink, she nodded slightly at Marc's suggestion it had been about nine years or so since she had even spoken to her parents. Riley did think about going over to her parents home back at the reunion, but that was quickly thrown out the window with all the murders that happened thanks to Maloney. "I'll give them a call tonight then I guess. The media does tend to overact when something happens to a celebrity" Riley said with a slight sigh. Her accident caused a media storm, still her emails and twitter feeds were being spammed. Riley then remembered the day she had been kicked out the house was trashed by her back then. She had at least a few hours before the names of the victims would come out before she could call them.

Riley jumped slightly when she heard her phone go off, she looked over at the screen and sighed in relief that it wasn't the caller from earlier to give her more instructions about those guns. She showed Marc the caller ID was 'Cecily Ashworth'. "Its just my roommate." Riley told him as she accepted the call. "Hey Cecily, whats up?" Riley asked, then she raised an eyebrow when she asked her to get into contact with Marc. "Well it's your lucky day I guess, hes right here. Here he is." Riley told Cecily over her phone and handed it over towards Marc.

"It's my roommate asking for something it's urgent." Riley said as she held it out to him, she started to get curious why Cecily wanted to speak to Marc, and how exactly she knew that Riley had known him. But she remembered that pictures of her, and Chloe and him were taken shortly after the whole Murder High Reunion had finished. Riley finished up her coffee and asked for another as she took out her wallet to pay for the last drink for herself.

J. Keystone

Location: Queensguard R&D Industrial Complex: Outside the Office

Bored bored bored bored bored. Bored. This had to be the longest meeting in Corporate Executive history. He had already imagined and planned many different and exciting ways to painfully do in the people around him, just in case it was necessary. Luckily, the mild paranoia that comes from working for a man like Caesar did well to keep Keystone raptly alert, despite his monumental sense of useless waiting. Then a text message came through. Keystone felt it was safe enough to check it out.

"All good here. Italian tonight? Might bring guest. Talk business then, call you later."

He was a little surprised to see the word "Guest" in the message. Caesar had been mostly withdrawn as of late, not that he could blame the man. That word could mean a number of things. For now, and not only because he was likely under the scrutiny of security personnel that were not under his command, Keystone responded to the message at face value.

"Still at work, client in meeting. If over soon, will cook. If not, restaurant. Will call when can."

Other eyes in the corridor wandered over to the broad Security Agent. Perhaps there was a touch of judgement; after all, he was responding to an instant message while on the job. Ordinarily he wouldn't, at least not in quite that fashion. But he was waiting for information that Caesar was still alive and well. This counted. And the nature of the message hinted that he had found something. If he was lucky, those unfamiliar with the situation would just think that he was being a little sloppy. That would suit him just fine.

"Supper plans." he stated simply, and put his secure phone away.

So Roy would not be joining them. As Caesar had originally planned on going alone anyway, it wasn't too much of a letdown. Of course, the thought occurred to him that if he were being straight with the three of them, his life was massively in danger here. Caesar didn't want anyone else dead. Check that - he wanted many, many people dead. Just not anyone that he felt didn't deserve it. That particular list had a way of changing often.

Caesar accepted Detective Gregory's card and looked it over thoroughly, then tucked it away. As he did, he assured the detective that he would indeed continue to act as her protector. "It's one of the reasons I asked her to come." Past that, he waited until there was lull enough in the dual phone conversations to address the two of them. "I'm meeting my associate after a while for dinner to talk some business and get last minute details worked. Do either of you want to join us? We're doing Italian."

Cecily Ashworth

Location: the Morgue

With all the comments of people needing to take care of her, Cecily was tempted to reply that she could take care of herself. But to be truthful, she wasn't sure if she could. This world wasn't one that she had glimpsed at beyond in comic books, and she already had figured she wouldn't last a week in some of her favorite stories. As much as she felt slightly babied with everyone asking everyone to look out for her, she knew it was for the best. Odds were, she wouldn't survive the week, even with their help.

"Great, thank you," Cecily replied to Riley over the phone, smiling at the ironic comment of it being her lucky day. She had nearly been killed, but managed to escape--she supposed that was lucky enough. "Agent Tinder? Cecily Ashworth, acting coroner. Would it be possible to set up a meeting with you?"

She paused, glancing at Caesar, as if to ask when to set the meeting up for. After all, they were fleeing to Mexico in the morning--that'd make any appointments a bit hard to keep. She vaguely waved goodbye to Roy as he left, waiting on the FBI agent on the phone. She figured that Agent Tinder'd be skeptical at best, but she was hoping that he'd be willing to help them out regardless.

Though, Cecily also wondered whether or not she had painted a target on Tinder's back as well.

Justice Asylum: - Marc leaned back and sipped his coffee, half chuckling to himself as he was hearing the conversation between Felix and Cynthia. She was as bat shit as ever but some of what she was talking about perked his interest. That was until Riley held out the phone for him. Cocking a brow he set down his coffee and took it from her. Listening in on the other line. "Hello?"

"Yes, this is Tinder. A meeting? Um, sure. Give me an hour or two I guess if that would be alright with you. If not, will have to be tomorrow. Currently in the middle of something," Marc said before glancing over towards Riley. He wondered what the coroner wanted to talk to him about but he wasn't going anywhere until he was done at the asylum.

Justice Morgue: - Natasha watched as Roy left and sat down. Turning around she finished filing the paper work on releasing the bodies and put them away. She had handed Caesar what he needed a while ago, so that was taken care of. At least on her end. Up to him when he wanted to move them. Though she found it a tad odd he was making dinner plans right then. Looking over her shoulder she shook her head. "Thank you for the offer but I'll need to take care of a few things before tomorrow to make sure I have everything in order. Meds, packing, etc. Plus will need to inform the higher ups that I will be leaving town a few days as well as Cecily. Have to find someone to come and cover the coroners office before either of us can leave. If we can't find replacements, neither of us can go..." she said as she waited for Cecily to be done with the phone call. They also had to figure out what excuse to use. Couldn't exactly tell people - she was shot. Didn't seem like they wanted that to get around, otherwise they would have gone to the hospital instead of coming up the sewers.

Cab: - "Sounds like me and my sisters but reversed. Well me and Thana. She moved out when I was like 8 and wasn't really home much when I was young. Usually getting into trouble. Zoie stayed near home for a while, so knew her a little better but not by much," Relic said absentmindedly as he sat there in the streets kept passing by. They were heading north and the city was getting less dense as they went.

"Oh sorry about that. Going to meet my sister now, Zoie's house. It is outside of Justice a little ways. She's still a country girl at heart I guess so she wanted something more in the suburbs. Safe as place as any right now. Least less of a chance to get mowed down by a drive by," he added. He took a deep breath, tapping his finger to his lips a little bit before adjusting his glasses. "Um, not to be nosey but why... um the body building?" he asked out of the blue. He seemed rather nervous about asking, half wanting to know, half afraid she would belt him for asking.

Traveling outside of Justice? Well it would be her first time out of the city since she officially moved in. Would probably do her some good. Mali let herself relax some in the car in preparation for a lengthy car ride. Justice was a pretty spread out place, and the traffic brought about by the current time of day would only stretch out the time spent here further. Wait, would Relic have enough cash on him to cover the cab fee? Did she? Probably.

"Oh that? I got into it a few years ago while I was still in University. If I recall correctly it was my Junior year and I was in a bit of a rough spot psychologically. I was browsing the internet and somehow I'd ended up bodybuilding competition video. Confidence beamed out of every pore of the contestants, and I guess I found that beautiful and wanted that same kind of beauty for myself. I ended up diving in headfirst into weight training without actually bothering to really study up on what I was getting into, at least at first. But it gave me something constructive to focus on and looking back I don't know what I would have done otherwise. It's a niche lifestyle, especially for women, but I'm a lot happier with my body now than I ever was before." Mali shrugged nonchalantly, origin story out and done with.

"On top of that, these muscles aren't just for show, I can open pickle jars like nobody's business."

It was good hearing Cecily's voice, just hearing from her made Riley feel slightly relaxed she took a sip of her coffee and leaned back as she listened to Marc speak on the other end. It would most likely be an hour or two then she would have to go see Chloe there when they have their meeting. Something Riley was dreading, when Marc glanced over at her she gave him a 'How the hell should I know' look she regretted not asking Cecily herself why she wanted to talk to Marc about.

Riley continued to listen in on Cynthia's voice on the other end of the ear piece she was wearing, it was slightly entertaining but also worrisome if Cynthia did end up attacking Felix for now reason. She just hoped that he would ask the right questions and not paint his face red like she did with their classmate several months ago. Riley stood up and went over towards the register pulling out her wallet craving something chocolatey.

Riley spotted a Hershey Bar and started to pay for it looking over at Marc as he continued to speak to Cecily over the phone, she was worried for her roommate as well. And made a mental note if Cecily was going back to their place to hide the stash of guns better, she didn't want Cecily to get any ideas that she was some sort of gun dealer.

Felix watched her some more. His eyes followed her like they were glued to this woman. Something about her was way too mysterious. It felt like the perfect mystery. This all seemed so perfect. She was ideal material, a character who was appealing yet had so much mystery and dread to her that would hook the readers. He had found his saving grace it appeared.

Then he heard it. NEarly valentines day? he walked over to observe the senseless doodles and quirked a brow. "It's May, valentines day was 3 months ago" he said with a scratch of his head.

"Unless, there is another day upcoming?"

Caesar Gonzalez

Location: Morgue

Caesar nodded to Doctor Brinne, grunting an affirmation. Of course it made sense to find replacements for their work. It's not like people would stop dying just because they left town. Hell, considering they have been trying to play an active role in investigating and preventing such painful occurrences, their absence might actually "Butterfly Effect" a whole new crop of dead people into existence before they even leave the airport. As for his team, Caesar had an Acting Director in place, though this was mostly for day-to-day issues and for show. Keystone wasn't really trained properly to run an entire branch in a major metropolitan area, at least not yet. The legalities alone made the grizzled Mexican concerned for his company's insurance rates. But if all went well, he would be bringing back someone more qualified to actually run the business. God help them all, but at a cost.

His own plans were being finalized with the liberal use of a number of apps. Caesar might have had an easier time of it using one of the computers in the Morgue, but the security provided by his satellite phone made up for many an icon unwittingly selected because of the venerable man's stubborn refusal to use the stylus provided with his device. It took a little bit of time, but it got accomplished. Now that the bodies had been released, they would be picked up and escorted under guard to their respective locations, there to await the bereaved and ceremonies appropriate to their families' faiths. Alicia would be transported on the same aircraft that they were taking the next morning, and the funeral (with subsequent ritualistic festivities) would take place the next day. Caesar might even stick around for a little while, getting the lay of the land and formalizing a backup plan in case things got really bad. If Juno decided to take the fight to his home ground, they might just find a few surprises waiting for them.

Still, he could not progress that evening until Cecily was ready to depart, provided that she was still of a frame of mind to join him, likewise he had to wait on Keystone to give him word. It was going to be an interesting evening, one way or another. Caesar did what he usually did in times like this: Chewed back his anger and set a wall of brooding in front of it, waiting for his moment to act. Loving father, dutiful Federale, grief stricken war machine; he was all this at once and more. The depths of his vengeance was never fully plumbed, and after his daughter was resting in the Gonzalez Family Tomb, the artist in him was going to paint a masterpiece of blood. But for now, patience.

Justice Asylum: - Cynthia slowly stopped her doodling, the crayon in her hand going still as her eyes stared seemingly blankly at the piece of paper covered with looked no more than a red ink blot test gone very wrong. "You don't understand. No he doesn't understand. He will. Yes he will. Should we explain? What good at words? Actions then? I suppose so. We did promise to behave. Yes but we know some promises have to be bent. Broken more like it. Alright, broken," she said in a child's voice laced with innocence as she spoke to herself. Debating with herself. The tip of the crayon getting pressed so hard against the paper that it snapped. "Shall we? Let's."

Her eyes coming up from the paper, slowly rising until they locked with Felix's. The corner of her mouth tugging gradually into a manically sadistic cheshire grin. It was a look that Riley, Marc and a handful of others had seen before; one they knew all too well.

"No... Valentine is coming," she said in a slow steady voice laced with acid.

Balling her fingers around the red crayon, Cynthia suddenly sprang from her seat. Coming up like a lynx after it's prey. "Time to paint a pretty pretty picture!" she cackled as one hand reached to claw at Felix and the other seemed determined to drive that children's drawing implement right into his jugular. Laughing sadistically she was bent to tackle, pin him, and create the most stunning picture she had ever created.

Cab: - Relic listened s he shuffled in his seat somewhat. It was an interesting way to get into it. He could use some confidence himself but the first thought running through his mind was that he'd half to work out until he got in good enough shape to even go to the gym. being in front of everyone with his spindly legs and pale skin just made him even more nervous just thinking about it. At her little crack of a joke about the pickle jar he laughed a little and nodded. "Well, and carrying around feather weights like a sake of potatoes," he added with a little smile.

Looking down he pushed his glassed back up the bridge of his nose. "Which, by the way, thanks for that. Don't remember if I said it earlier," he added as he looked out the window. The cab was finally out of the city and into the suburbs. On a hill where the sun was starting to set was an older looking farm house. It looked really old. Not old as in worn down but old as just in the architecture. The house looked like it could have easily been built pre-civil war.

"We're here," he said as the cab drove through the white picket fence gate and up to the front of the gravel driveway. The house was surrounded for miles by pastures that were fenced, horses grazing out in said pasture. There was a small pond where ducks and geese were swimming. Some chickens wandered around the front clucking away as Relic got out of the cab and paid the man. A rough bell could be heard banging quietly as Relic spun around. It was hanging around the neck of a goat.

"Juniper! Don't!" he yelled but it was no use the goat ran up to him and butted him right in the rear sending him stumbling forward and barely being able to catch himself.

"Sweet Jesus!, Juniper! You's lets him be!" a country voice called out from the front porch. It was Zoie, her southern twang coming out a lot more than when she was in the city. The goat baa'ed before trotting off as she stepped down the porch. She looked so different than she had in the club. She was wearing jeans, a white button down dress shirt, cowboy boots, a lace apron around her waist and was cleaning her hands off on a dish rag. The heavy seductress make up was replaced by soft shades and natural lips. She smiled as her feet hit the gravel. "Sorry 'bout that, fergot to tie him up b'fore yous got here," she said hugging her brother.

"Yeah, no worries." Relic hugged her back and then looked over at Mali. "Oh yeah, Zoie this is Mali, Mali - Zoie."

"Oh right from the bar." Zoie said holding her hand out to offer a welcoming shake to Mali. "Welcome to my home, come on in ya two. Supper almost ready."

Cecily Ashworth

Location: the Morgue

Cecily couldn't help but feel a bit surprised that Tinder agreed to meet with her. Especially without any information as to what it would be about--it was perplexing, to say the least. Or perhaps she had just grown more and more paranoid over the past few days, with murder and death no longer confining themselves to the corpses on the table, but to the people surrounding her. "Yes, an hour or two later should work," Cecily affirmed. Tomorrow would have been tricky, after all--they were fleeing to Mexico.

Of course, there were also the dinner plans with Caesar's associate. Perhaps something would need to be worked around that, though Cecily wasn't quite sure when those would be happening. And then there was still the matter of her heading home, grabbing her passport, and the likes. She'd have to find a way to not just explain to her boss why she needed someone to fill in for a few days, but to explain the entire situation to Riley as well.

For a moment, she mused about saying she was going to a coroner convention, though she figured it'd be pretty easy to check attendance at those things. Maybe it'd be easiest to just cash in a few vacation days, say the reasons were personal, and leave it at that. She worked weekends, after all--they could hardly complain, she hoped, if she took a few days off.

"Where would be a convenient meeting place for you?" Cecily asked Tinder, before glancing over at Caesar, as if to get his suggestion. She was half surprised she was still on the phone with Tinder--for her, it would've made sense for Caesar to be setting up the appointment with the FBI agent.

Location: Taxicab

Mali rubbed her eyes as she left the taxicab. She'd been up since the wee hours of the morning, and it was starting to get to her. If something didn't rouse her soon, she wouldn't be surprised if she started to nod off within the next couple of hours.

That thing was a goat. What the hell was a goat doing in California? Mali had never seen a goat (or any kind of livestock for that matter) in person, and for one to just casually show up and ram Relic to the ground struck her as the oddest thing to happen all day. Long running conspiracy controlling the construction of the city she was currently living in? Not surprising considering the evidence they had to deal with. Drive by shooting killing like a dozen people? Well they were in the hood. Crazy assassin coming for a crazy mental patient? ...Alright, that was pretty weird, but a goat living just outside a major city in California. So distracted by the goat was she, that Mali almost missed the introduction. Half a second passed before her eyes widened in recognition of what was going on.

"Oh, sorry," Mali smiled sheepishly and shook Zoie's hand firmly. "I've just never seen a goat before." Her eyes flitted back to the goat, hoping that Juniper wasn't thinking of charging her as well. The last way she wanted to spend the evening was dodging goat attacks.
